So Pσℓїτε, This Little Pετ,
Dry Eyes, Though They Should Be Wet...

Elli Adalinda Doser
User Image Elli knew she needed to get back home, needed to make sure that everything was right for the morrow. She also knew she needed time to think. She hadn't meant to contact Colton today, but now it had happened. With all the messages and calls he had attempted with her, she was sure they had a decent connection, though she really did wish she knew what it was. Of course, that also left her wondering if there was any way for her to find out. Did Avril know who she was before? Would Avril answer her questions? Maybe it was time to find out, at least a little bit. Her foot dropped a bit more heavily on the accelerator. She wanted to be home, and she hoped Avril would be in her apartment as well.

Pulling into the lot outside their apartment building, Elli stepped out of the car and let her eyes wander in an attempt to find Avril's vehicle. The Black Nissan Coupe sat in their usual spot, and Elli found herself biting at her inner lip as she made her way toward the building. Avril was home, or at least her car was. Hopefully, the woman hadn't gone running off without the vehicle. Elli wanted to talk to her as soon as possible. She had no idea what she should do and, while Avril may not always be her favorite person, it was the only person she had right now.

Stepping into the building, Elli felt her phone vibrating, its music growing louder as she pulled it from her pocket. A nervous smile touched her lips as she read Colton's message, happy that she wouldn't be inconveniencing him, but not really sure how to respond to his question.

To: Colton
I'll see you there then.
Something big happened.
I don't know how to explain without seeing you.
And I'll bring what I had on me the night we were supposed to meet.

She hadn't dared to open that bag, not knowing what she would find, or if it would even mean anything to her. It still sat in her bedside table, the same place it had been ever since she had moved into this apartment. The apartment. How was it that she was staying in a place this nice and her parents hadn't found it? She had signed the lease in her name, and they wouldn't take straight cash, so there was every record they would need to track the girl if they wanted to. They knew she was still alive, she knew that just from them occasionally still trying to contact her. She never answered, of course, there would be no point.

Black suede boots carried her up the stairs of the apartment building to her floor, and she made her way into the apartment with shopping bags in hand. Dropping them on the red loveseat, Elli fumbled for her phone ringing out in her dress pocket. Spinning the phone open, she read over the message, biting at her lip as she tried to figure out how to answer Avril's inquiry. She wasn't really... bringing him, was she? It was more of just... 'Even so, I don't know who he is anyway.'

To: Avril
I'm not sure.
I think I have someone.
I actually wanted to ask you about that.
Are you home?

Keeping her phone in hand, Elli kicked her boots off near the door, and grabbed the remote off her circular glass end table. Flipping the power on for her 32 inch flat screen, she tossed the remote on the long red couch at the center of the living room, and let the sound of her favorite music channel drift to her ears. Stepping into the kitchen, she pulled the fridge open, biting at the inside of her bottom lip again. This whole thing had her bugging out a bit. A slender hand reached in to grab one of the blood bags hanging from the top shelf, and she bit into the side with a small growl. Kicking the fridge closed behind her, she made her way over and plopped back on the couch, letting cold blood slide back along her tongue down her throat. Her meal earlier had taken the edge off sure enough, but with so much on her mind, she needed something to keep her thinking straight.

xoxoxoxoxoxHoney if you only knew, every night I'm watching you...
Devyn Maliik Pessoaxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

"Quarter past midnight, Sitting here in the moonlight. No offence to you my dear..."

Devyn sighed and kept his face at the tender place that was her neck. He didn't want to move. Not yet at least. The memories...His lips curled up into a little cunning smile. That was like him. So like him, to smile at the horrid memories. Why? Because he was a jerk like that. why he was a jerk? That was a question that seemed to have him on edge for hours at a time. "Stop lying to me. You know how much of a crap cook I am. I can't even turn the other way, without having something burn.Just goes to show you. He sighed, a hot breath leaving his lips and blowing against Avia's delicate skin. He removed his head and brought her back up into the upright position on his lap. So now he didn't want to haver her on him anymore. To be honest he was feeling a bit uncomfortable after singing The fall of Troy lyrics. So since she was so light, with his right arm, he took Avia by it and gently shifted her off his lap and onto the bed, aware of the blood packets. Blood was such a complicated thing to clean up if spilled. Or so Devyn thought. Blood. Blood. Blood. Gallons of the stuff. Devyn simply couldn't get enough. He bit his lip, to keep himself from laughing, and to keep himself from making the situation anymore awkward. Then again, wasn't she used to his little outbursts?

"I hope you know, tonight I write... to you."

He took his teeth off his lip and intrusive laughter came from him yet again. Because that what happened when he though about blood like that. Well, after all, he is a vampire and this and that. A blood sucker, a leach, a charmer. Weren't vampire supposed to be like that? Like if they were to look into someone, anyones eyes and like that Snap~ In a snap of the fingers you were captivated? Like a hypnosis? Devyn was like that. Well when he wanted to be. Would that make him an Oddity? An unusual person? Something remarkably strange? I guess so. He stood the next moment, and grabbed some of the packets that had been scattered on the bed. He couldn't leave them out. People would came over would wonder, what kind of people Avia and Devyn were. He slipped out of the room, and into the kitchen with an arm full of blood. "Blood, Blood, Blood, Blood, BLOOD" There his laughter started again. For once, his laughs gave him chills. "You have issues you know that?" Devyn nodded. "Yeah I know," he said to himself. "But people just seem to can't get enough of me. I'm one hell of a man."

"There's a question, and a conversation. But did I mention, a foul intention?"

Talk and answering himself? Oh yeah. Devyn couldn't get any better than that. But wait. He certainly could. Appearing in front of the stainless steel, refrigerator door, and pulling it open with his feet, he threw the packets in with the other condiments. You know the usual stuff. Eggs, (even though Devyn hated eggs with a flaming passion) Milk, juice, butter, and then blood. "Ohoho? Blood." He managed to laugh again and put a hand to his forehead. He slammed the door shut and pressed his back against it before she popped into his head. He reached into the pocket of his Tripp's and pulled out his blackberry. Was he really going to now? Really? Texting Kerri? What that how bored... No. was that how curious he was? Indeed. He scrolled down till he found the little sluts number.

              Contact: Kerri
              New Message:
              Hey, Kerri.
I just wanted to let you know
              you're a god damn slut.
              Drop dead.

Devyn backspaced and laughed hard. Hard enough to make the whole house shake. He sighed and held the "CLR" button until the whole text was gone and started over.

              Contact: Kerri
              New Message:
              Hey, Kerri...
              How you doing?

              Message Sent!

A small sigh left his lips. To be honest, he wasn't expecting to get a message in return, but it was worth a damn try anyways. "You're wasting your time with her why?" "Cause I'm stupid," he whispered.

"Show me show me show me
How you do that trick
The one that makes me scream"

Avia slid easily from his arms. It was mood swings, and MPD. Or was Avia just. Sadistic? Constantly allowing Devyn to just pick her up, sending her moods on a high tight rope, teetering out of control. Making her feel like she was on could 9, the top of the world; His everything. But she was sadistic. Because just as quickly as he placed her on cloud 9, Devyn ripped her down. She was turning into a masochist, and who was to blame but herself? Devyn. She could pin almost all her haunting emotions on him. For how many times had she allowed him to entrance her into such an infatuated state, only to know that she was going to be pulled down and torn apart. Masochist. Even if her pain was self inflicted. How many scars had she covered with a few blots of makeup? How many times had she worn sleeves and jeans to hide what she called little mistakes? Her little bouts of depression, so easily masked behind a touch of makeup and a glossy eyed smile. Masked by nude colored tights, or an ace bandage. Scars and cuts were easy to hide, depression not so much. It seemed that no amount of makeup could cover emotions. They were messy things that Avia had been taught to think of as useless. Instilled ideas by her Military like father. Sadistic. Masochistic. Avia. The perfect little bird had some secrets. Because not every cheerleader is a doll, not a cookie cutter re-make.

""Show me how you do it
And I promise you I promise that
I'll run away with you
I'll run away with you"

Avia rolled about on the bare bed for a few moments, before finally catching the edge, and slipping off. And while slipping off, Avia caught the edge of her face against the bed side table before she hit the floor.
"Ow, Ow! ******** ******** ow!" She yelped from her odd position on the floor; Body contorted, her face a mask of pain in that moment as her small palm rose to rub the side of her face. And her small palm was met with something hot, and sticky. "Oh, great. Just great Avia! Bust yourself up before a party. Why not just.. Just fry yourself, aye?"Ooh, what a devious idea. After all, she had opened a window. And the light was just tempting and teasing her, willing her to stick her hand in and feel the warmth. Feel the burn. Whispering, words meant only for herself, and the voices in her head. "Well, maybe I will!" Avril whispered defiantly, tugging the indigo top back into place. She scooted herself along the floor, until she grew close enough to her little patch of light. Legs crossed "indian" style, hands rested in her lap as her mind swirled. Sadistic. Masochistic. Avril twisted a piece of her white blond hair around her finger a moment, blinking a few times before reaching for her phone; The melody screaming that she had a new text message.

To : Elli
Oh, well don't be so unsure.
Bring a date along, or meet someone there!
I dunno.. Do what pleases you.
We're home right now;
But I'm not sure if it's the best of times.
But come over anyway, not like
it matters.

Avril felt queer as she punched the message in and pressed her finger against the send button, twisting her lips into a weird position as she flipped the phone off, and turned it back to her music. This time something a little different came on. Vermillion by Slipknot came on, the chiming piano type opening came on, light and lilting in her ears. It was melancholy in her ears, something she felt she could so easily relate to in that moment. The iPhone was set aside, as she twisted her hands in the air before her. A sigh left young Avril's lips; Her memories were flooding back painfully, a wave that was going to drown her. Avril had been prescribed pills for her depression shortly before her sudden and odd death. And even after her death, she bad been prescribed more anti depressants. But she still didn't know if it was safe to take them, in her new state. She looked at the hands that were held so easily before her. Raised in the air, limp and pale. She raised her fingers, pointing them straight and forced them into the sunlight. Just her fingers, just a start. Testing her abilities, how far she could go before the pain became too much. She wiggled her fingers in the sun, though she drew them back within the moment, when the heat became too much. Hands withdrawn, back into the darkness of their world; She studied her fingers for any real signs of damage, or a smell of sulfur or ash. Nothing. Avril pushed herself farther this time, letting her whole hand sink into the open sunlight. She could last a few moments, the warm feeling soaking into her skin making her so reminiscent of times long gone.Though the warmth turned to burning quickly, and she drew her hands of back. It smelled faintly of ash now, just not enough to trouble her.

"Why won't you ever know that
I'm in love with you
That I'm in love with you"

Mind games. She was playing with her mind, or was her mind playing with her? The song switched, an easy transition. Friday I'm in Love by The Cure switched on, filling her ears with the happy lilt of guitars, and oddly musical voices. She wiped her fingers across her eyes, which grew hot with tears so easily. She was teasing herself, masochist. Teasing herself with Devyn. Letting him just hang before her like a toy hanging in a window; Her eyes wide like a child's, glimmering with the hope that she would one day get that toy. Though Avia doubted it. Devyn was that toy that everyone got but her. She was the one kept in constant waiting, watching while others got to play with what she so desperately wanted; Sitting there with a statue look on her face, acting as if it didn't effect her. But with Devyn not looking, Avia could cry. And cry shedid. The warm prickly feeling round her eyes, welling with tears till her eyes gave out. Fat salty drops rolled down her flushed cheeks, free from her hands which lay limply in her lap.

This was all his fault. There were so many men in Avia's life that she could place the blame upon. Starting with her father. The man who had raised her with an iron fist, and a steely attitude. His no acceptance for failure policy. Then, there was Matthias and his group of friends. They had "caught up" with her after a night of drugs and partying, and basically defiled her in the worst way possible, in the worsr place possible. Raped, in an alley way. Not that young Avia let anyone know that; A smear on her paper. Skip a few, and you'd get to Devyn. He was the one who had made her "this way", a creature of nightmares. He could bring her up so high on one moment, and send her hurdling for the ground in the next. He was like the puppeteer, and she was his marionette...

"Little porcelain doll, sitting on the shelf."

xoxoxoxoxoxHoney if you only knew, every night I'm watching you...
Devyn Maliik Pessoaxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

"Katie don't cry I know you're trying your hardest and the hardest part is letting go of the nights we shared."

Devyn slipped his phone back into his pocket, and sighed softly. He sighed because he knew Kerri would either read the text , suck her teeth and delete the text, or she'd read it, get irritated and reply back with something like 'Hey. What do you want' He shook his head and smiled. Why he smiled? Because after all this time, she still didn't speak to Deyvn. But this wasn't over. Something was going to happened. Soon... He felt it in his gut. It was then something caught his nose. Something burning. But they had just gotten home. What in the hell could be burning? He hadn't been cooking, and he hadn't been in the sun, because there were no windows in the kitchen. "Avril," he said harshly before bolting it back to the room. Avril. In the corner he saw Avia sitting wear an open curtain and window was. "God dammit Avril!" His voice was anything but soft. She'd done this before. But only when something was bothering her. He was fuming now. Fuming because he HATED when she did that. Why couldn't she just talk to him? Why couldn't she just vent, tell him what was wrong.

"Ocala is calling and you know it's haunting. But compared to your eyes, nothing shines quite as bright, and when we look to the sky, it's not mine, but I want it so."

He didn't do anything. He stood there at the door, with his arms crossed over his chest. His eyes were red. Red with rage. Because he hated, hated, hated when she did this. And it made the apartment smell really bad. The smell of burning skin, it was... just disgusting. Words couldn't describe it. He sighed all angry like and marched into the room. He pulled Avia out of the way, slammed the widow down, (of course a cracking sound because he slammed it down to hard. Well he was angry) and pulled the curtains. He turned with his hand to his forehead. "You know I don't like treating you like a kid, because I see you as a beautiful woman, who knows right from wrong. But God Dammit Avia. Are you ******** insane?!" He rubbed his temples and looked at her arm. Yes it was already healing, but he just hated when she did things like this. It worried him. Hell it sent him over the edge. He was always doing his best to try and keep the damn girl out of harms way. Out of things that would kill her. He remembered how he had a serious phobia of wood because of the stories he heard about vampires dying of steaks at the heart. And then she had that ******** nerve to do this? He took her arm gently and stared at the red irritated skin. He sighed. All he could do was sigh.

Let's not pretend like you're alone tonight... I know he's there and... You're probably hanging out and making eyes while across the room he stares..."

He pulled Avia along out of the room and into the living room. He was dark as well, and he took Avia's little self and threw he on the couch before taking a seat next to her and crossing his legs Indian style. "Tell me what's wrong before I pull it out of you. I know you don't like it when I pull it out of you. So lets make this easy as possible." He got up for a moment and paced walking back and forth. He only did that when Avia did something to herself or when he was thinking real hard about something. In this cause it was and Ava-problem. He stopped and sat on the floor before her legs. "You know I hate it when you burn yourself. I hate it so much. Why Avia, why do you do it? I'd rather you cut yourself that you trying to burn yourself. You have such beautiful skin," he nearly whispered while taking her hand in his. His lips pressed against the red part of her skin and blew cold air against. "Why Avia...? Why? Tell me, spill out your heart to me. Tell me what's bugging you."

"To every broken heart in here
Love was once a part, but now it's disappeared"

She could hear the distant boom of his voice as the realization reached him; Avril shivered, and curled up. She could feel it, the burn that scalded her arms still stung, even as it healed. But what could she expect, she was self destructive! She let her fingers touch at the small burns that crossed her arms as Devyn continued his small yelling stint, cringing every time his voice seemed to either raise an octave or simply grow louder. Though the heavy thump of his angered footsteps against the floor must have shook her more. Footsteps like such, how many times had they offered not safety, but pain? The sound resonated in the back corners of her mind, the memories like soundbites or audio clips replayed in her head; Growing louder as Devyn's voice did. Avia shook her head, trying to clear away the noises as he drew closer. Though it seemed her demons were more persistent than her will, which had never been iron in the first place. Avia had always been a little weaker than her demons, giving into their cries and their temptations occasionally. These were the things that were going to get her killed. The coaxing voices of her MPD, which it seemed up until then had been happily controlled and subdued by drugs. Oh, drugs. Seemed like the prescription kind had been her best friend, the closer she had gotten to her accidental "death."

"She told me that it's all part of the choices that you make
Even when you think you're right
You have to give to take"

Man handled. When he pushed her aside, she felt man handled. Just a little bit. Yeah, just a little. She cringed at the whooshing sound of the window slamming shut, and the cracking noise as the wood splintered under the sheer force by which Devyn had shut it. Great, another pane to replace. How many did that make.. This time? Avril could probably count on one hand how many tines they had splintered that wood, though at that moment she couldn't have been forced to. The whisk of the curtains as they were so simply brushed shut; Some probably ripped off of their rings. Great, another expense. Though, the thought of buying new curtains was far from her mind.. Everything was far away, everything except for the spiraling depression that now threatened to consume her. The depression that she had so easily kept under lock and key with drugs and distractions; Distractions that no longer pleased the young woman's eye, and the drugs that she was afraid to take. Would they still work? She doubted it. Something as small as a pill, to combat something that seemed so.. Consuming? Yeah, it would totally work! If she was human. Devyn's words rang in her ears like a song she couldn't forget. He called her a beautiful young woman - Oh, the infatuation! Rearing it's ugly head again. - Or, was she just insane? Maybe a little bit of both. Her thoughts however, were loud and clear. "Yeah, I'm ******** LOONY! So lock me up darling, and throw away the keys. Toss them aside and seal your lips. Shake those hips and forget about me. Avril shook her head as Devyn picked her up, almost thrashing - pushing - against his embrace as he hoisted her up, and simply tossed her onto the couch; Like she was some sort of doll. A sickening thought, Avril the Doll. How many time's had she heard that one? "Oh Avia, you're such a doll!" "Avia, you're pretty enough to be a doll.." " Avril, my little porcelain doll." Sickening. She curled up on the couch, pulling the quilt style blanket over her petite form and sighed. Her grey eyes rose to watch him sit at her feet, doing as he did and stating that she could either tell him what was wrong, or he would force it out. Like this was some sort of interrogation or something! Though in her mind, it definitely was. He would force it out of her, and she damn well knew it. But something sick inside her thought it would be interesting to see how he planned on going about it this time.

"But there's still tomorrow
Forget the sorrow
And I can be on the last train home"

Pacing.. Like a jungle cat, about to pounce upon it's prey. That's what Devyn reminded her of; A Jungle Cat. Large, but sleek and silent at the same time. Graceful in his ability to take something down without a sound. Avril never ceased to be amazed by him in some way or another; It was so silly. Silly, that despite the hurt he hurled upon her again and again. Why did she keep on coming back, like some sort of beaten dog returning to it's owner? Because despite the abuse, she needed him. Co-dependent? No. The comfort of knowing he was there was another thing; Not co-dependency, just.. Security. So watching him pace back and forth was unnerving for her; Made her nervous and edgy. Though as Devyn sat down at her feet, she could feel her heart plummet into her stomach. Her voice hit only an octave higher than a whisper, though it may have seemed muffled, behind the blanket which she had curled up in.
"I.. I know you hate it. You hate me and my masochistic ways; But I think sometimes, burning is better than cutting. Burns can heal, cuts leave scars.." Avril pulled the blanket aside, and let her fingers trace along the line of puckered scars that marred the insides of her thighs. The scars that had been preserved on her porcelain skin forever. She let her fingers rest a moment upon them, before pulling the blanket back to hide them. Ashamed, to say the least. Avril had always been ashamed of her masochistic ways; They got her in trouble, got her into trouble of all kinds. Scars that were matched on her wrists, though those were only slight. Well, in comparison to the ones on the insides of her legs.

"I wonder if you're listening
Picking up on the signals"

Spill your heart out. Scream your heart out! Avril shook her head, and shut her eyes. She leaned forward until her forehead touched Devyn's, and let out a breath. Frustration; Life was frustrating enough, and in death it seemed to come back at her in double time. Nose touched his for a split second, before she retreated back into her blanket cocoon. Her voice still soft, broken.
"I..""I still love you. I never stopped. I'm like some sort of kicked puppy or something; No matter how many times you reject me, I always come back some way or another. What.. What's wrong with me?""I don't know." Lies! Lies! Lies for liars. It was all she deserved; Lies and to be left alone. To be alone, and let that alone be it. Avril shook her head, pushing the thoughts aside as she tried to think of a better answer to give Devyn. She wanted so badly to tell him everything. How infatuated she still was with him, how he still managed to haunt her dreams and thoughts on occasion. How his little quirks still got to her.

"Sometimes it feels like I don't really know what's going on
Time and time again it seems like everything is wrong in here"

She just didn't know how to word it right. Didn't know how to get it out, without seeming.. Silly. Childish.. In love. Love! What a silly and useless emotion. Useless. Just like Avril.

So Pσℓїτε, This Little Pετ,
Dry Eyes, Though They Should Be Wet...

Elli Adalinda Doser
User Image Elli suckled slowly at the bag, not really hungry, and treating it more like a snack she wanted to last than something to sustain her. She hummed along with the music pouring from her t.v, almost not noticing as the phone resting on her stomach starting singing at her as well. Pulling her eyes open, she tilted her head to look at the little thing, smiling as she spun it open. She was lulling herself into a sort of dazed state acting like this. It helped her to keep her mind clear, not dwelling too much on all the mysteries of her current life. Eyes reading over the message, she wasn't sure how to respond, if she needed to respond at all. Avril had told her she could come up, but it may not be the best time... she didn't really want to interrupt if it would be bad.

Deciding to just go with what she was told, Elli pulled herself up from the couch, leaving her shoes behind as she made her way out of the apartment. The blood bag still hung from her mouth, but they had those new energy drinks out now that looked like blood bags. It wouldn't be too hard to explain away if anyone saw her and asked. Her bare feet carried her toward the stairwell, their cold metal beneath them making her giggle a bit as she headed up to Avril's floor of the apartment building. She was still waiting for Colton to hit her back, and noticed that she had kept her phone in hand. Reaching Avril's floor, she dropped the little device into her pocket and headed out of the stairwell. She looked down at herself. Biting at the bag in her mouth a bit, she realized that she probably should have changed before coming up. Maybe she should have brought her mask to show Avril, as it would make for something they could chat about if the whole 'who-she-was-bringing' chat didn't go so well.

Shrugging these thoughts to the side, Elli stepped up to Avril and Devyn's door. 'Devyn...' She hadn't even thought to ask if he was home as well. If so, this whole thing could go a bit differently. She didn't mind Avril when she could be alone with the girl, since it meant there were no distractions. With him there, though, that might not be the case. Whatever the case, though, she needed to see what she could find out, if anything, about who she intended upon meeting at this thing. She knew they had all known each other before, could tell by Devyn knowing who she was when she had first seen him. How the relationship was between them and anyone else any of them knew, though, was still very much up in the air.

Elli raised a hand to knock at the door, a light tapping echoing on the inside from her knuckles against the outside. She couldn't say anything to let them know who she was, so Elli always knocked in a certain pattern... one tap, a small pause, and two quick taps to follow. She waited a moment, then tried the handle, letting the door open slowly. What she saw made her bite at the bag dangling from her mouth again. Something was going on, and Devyn was home. She thought she had heard them talking as she came into the room, but she had either just caught the tail end, or they had stopped as she came inside.

Elli wanted to say hello, wanted to let them know she was sorry for interrupting, wanted to ask if she should come back later. She could feel the tension that seemed to fill the air in the room, and she hated not being able to say anything. Taking a deep breath, she moved forward, cocking her head questioningly as she saw Devyn holding Avril's hand. What had she missed? Moving her left hand in a quick gesture, she hoped Avril would understand that she was asking whether or not she was okay. Her other hand plunged into a dress pocket, tugging her phone out and opening up the notes section. It was too much of an annoyance trying to keep a notebook with her in addition to everything else.

When Kerri left that guy's house she didn't have a guilty conscious or nothing. The people that knew her in town knew what to expect (hopefully) and always knew where they could find her. Plus, if there wasn't an emotional attachment in any way shape or form, why would it matter? Exactly. It wouldn't. At least it didn't matter to her. All that mattered to her right now was to get her home and ready for work by any means necessary. She went from his house to hers and pretty much flew in through the front door. When she walked passed her mother, she felt no guilt or anything. Where as anyone with the right mindset would probably feel a huge amount of guilt or would hate themselves in the morning, she wouldn't. She went about her daily life. Her mother never said anything to her about her habits. It was really difficult to talk to her mother. At this point the woman was only there to provide a house for her. Thats all she COULD do. Kerri knew that her mother didn't worry about where she was, who she was with and what they all were up to, otherwise if she did, Kerri probably wouldn't have turned out as ******** up as she was. Yeah, she knew that what she was/has been doing was a really ******** up way of coping with something like a break up, but with her doing it as often as she did, it turned into a life style.

Being able to do all the things that she did and the being able to wake up the next morning and her life is as it always was, well that was definitely something that she could get used to. In the morning when she woke up next to Johnny What's-his-face, well the fact that she was alive and had conquered it in the way that she did, she felt better about herself. Surely, it was getting her a reputation a eighteen year old female wouldn't want, but she kind of didn't care. She didn't plan on staying around here for forever. When she left, her reputation would be a clean slate and she'd be able to go and do what she wanted to go and make a reputation for herself. When she got out of the shower, she had to kind of rush, rush, rush. She did all that was necessary to get ready so that she could be on her way. She had many facial piercings, but all of them except one could be taken out or hidden. She did her hair enough so that she wouldn't be looking super scene like she liked to. When she worked, she worried about her appearance a little less. Why? Well she was working. She was more worried about getting her job done rather than going and trying to get a hook up. Not to mention that when she was working, she'd probably get a hook up anyways.

When she was all completely ready for work, she was off. She went and got her stuff then got in the car and was off. As she pulled up to the small shop, she went about pulling her hair up in a pony tail, still covering the extension clips, but also just working on getting the hair out of her way. Her brain was still thumping from the hang over, but it was starting to dull due to the Tylenol she had taken before her shower. When she clocked in and started getting to work, she was working a table away from Aurora and she had blurted out that she felt like hell. Just something small to start up a conversation, nothing too big and heavy. Not like she would have a heavy conversation with Aurora anyways (nothing against her, of course). A few seconds later, Aurora had a response to what Kerri had said. What she had said, of course, made Kerri smile and give a little chuckle. The whole coffee with the alcohol method didn't really work. It helped, but it never fully worked for her the way that it did for other people. It was cute that Aurora suggested it though. She was really a sweet girl. A little more darker than Kerri, but she had a personality and sometimes when she would talk to Aurora, Kerri's day got a little brighter. No, Aurora wasn't a good friend or anything, Kerri didn't have those, but Aurora knew how to have a small, simple, non personal invasion conversation that would keep Kerri's mind on track for a little bit.

Kerri hadn't come up with a response yet to what Aurora had said, so she said the first thing that came to mind "Haha honey, that crap is for sissies." Then she had another table to clean up. When she took the things back to kitchen area and then went to where Aurora was. What she had to say, made Kerri very interested. She chuckled at the 'break the fabric of time' comment and then listened intently. When she didn't continue, Kerri leaned in a little and then made a motion with her hand to tell her to continue "lets hear it cupcake" She said. Right before she got an answer, some people had come up to the door and she saw them, taking a sigh, she looked back to her raven haired friend "Put that thought on hold" She moved out of the way so that they could go up to the register and make their orders. Kerri went about straightening up the tables and chairs and all that crap that she should be doing rather than talking to Aurora. She couldn't help it, sometimes it was just so slow and she got really bored. When the placed looked to perfection, she went behind the counter and helped Aurora make the necessary items for the customers and then when they were all ready, she put them up on the counter, calling out what they were and waiting for the respected customers to come and get their drinks.

When she was about to turn around and pry the information out of Aurora because she was now curious as to what she wanted to tell her, but then her pocket vibrated and it made her freeze. She knew that it was her phone, but she had NO clue who would be texting her at the moment. If it was a booty call, she was just going to ignore it, but other than that, she doesn't really have any legit friends. She looked around to see if her manager was around and luckily, she wasn't. Kerri pulled the phone out of her pocket and clicked on 'read'. Now, the person that texted her, was definitely not the person she thought it was going to be or the person she wanted it to be. She couldn't help but to glare at the phone for a second, then she let out a deep sigh and then debated on whether or not to respond to the message. If she responded, she would have to have a conversation with him, POSSIBLY, but if she just ignored it, then she'd probably see him at her window again and personally, she'd prefer that he NOT be at her window. It was getting annoying. Yeah, she had gone to people to try and fix this situation, but nothing had really been done. It was one huge confusion after another. Coming back to reality, she looked at the phone in her hand and had to make a decision now. She went against her better judgment and then hit the reply button and slid the top part of her phone to reveal a qwerty board.

What do you want Devyn.

She didn't want anything to do with this guy. WELL, if you wanted to know the read deal, she did want to have something to do with this guy. Deep down, she wanted EVERYTHING to do with this guy. When they broke up, she repressed almost any feeling she had about him. With the drinking and the random sexin's of other guys, that helped. It made her forget all about Devyn. Not that she was thinking of him ALL the time, but after the break up, she WOULD think about him a lot and she had NO one to turn to. She had no one that she could really trust and talk to after that. With him showing up at her window, she didn't know what to do. She wanted so badly to let him in, but also, she wanted to forget him. She didn't want to deal with the hurt and annoyance, so that's why she never let him in... not to mention that he was declared dead so it was kind of freaky that he was appearing at her window. She looked at Aurora after sliding her phone back to its neutral position and then stuffed it back in her pocket "Would you mind stepping out with me for a smoke real quick?" She had a feeling in the pit of her stomach now that she had talked to Devyn and it wasn't a good feeling. She went out back and then pulled the pack of cigarettes and put a cancer stick between her lips and lit it up, taking a drag and blowing the smoke away from the door.

"Tell me is my time is wasted? Or am I ok?"

He looked at Avril from under his bangs. No movement, no sudden breath. He could almost taste the lies that were coming out of her mouth. He released her hand and tapped his finger against the floor below rapidly before shaking his head. "I'd prefer if neither was done..." He sighed and pulled himself up from the floor and brushed his butt off. He turned his back to the pale girl and bit his lip. Have you ever had this feeling where you just wanted to punch someone for the ridiculous things they did? Well that's just how Deyvn felt. Okay so, yeah Devyn got depressed sometimes, and he got sad and all emotional. He's had one hell of a life, he had every right in his body to feel depressed. But that didn't give him a god damn reason to burn or cut himself. "Alright Ava," he said lightly. His voice was just above a whisper. He didn't and still would never understand what hurting ones self would do. So they said that it relived the pain or just made the pain stop. But... Ah! It was just so stupid to Deyvn.

"Would you be friends with me on any other day? Well. I know we’ve been through this before."

Something hit him, and then there were light knocks at the front door, and then another pale looking girl. Her name... her name. "Hey Avril. Elli is here." He first waved and motioned her in. "Come on in. Make yourself at home El's," he said giving her a nickname. He didn't know much about her. He just knew she could talk and that she was one of them. A vampire. A creature of the night. A leach, a blood sucker, a demon and all that good stuff. He smiled softly, but it was one of those smiles of his that didn't reach his heart, or his eyes. It was just a reaction. A reaction that was supposed to be nice. He didn't smile from the heart that much no of days. Everything was just so frustrating, and confusing. So full of pain, and anger, and it just... just everything pissed him off. Rage, rage, and more rage. His hands balled into a tight fist, before his phone went off to "Ghostship I' by The Fall of Troy. He jumped at first, obviously not on guard, jammed his hand into his pocket and clicked on the volume so that the sound actually cut off. He bit his lip and fluttered into the kitchen and left the girls alone for now. To be honest, talking to Elli was kinda of weird. Or so Deyvn thought. She didn't speak. Mute! What the hell?! He slapped his hand against his face and sighed deeply. Today he was defiantly in for a sighing fit.

"But I remember thinking that we were through. N-N-N-Nothing would matter if it was me and you."

He hopped up onto the counter and pulled out his little black berry again. He read, read, read. That was the most he expected. But hell it was much better than nothing. He shook his head and ruffled his hair before clicking 'reply'.

"If we were naked we’d make it yeah me and you. Don’t ever fake it or baby I say we’re through."

              He wrote:

And of coursed he started laughing. That crazed, "Oh yeah... That's Deyvn laughing alright" laugh, and just as it started, it stopped and he began typing again.

"When this is going down I see you running out."

He smiled and looked at his phone gently as though it were actually Kerri in his hands. Kerri's head in his hand, sleeping away peacefully. She used to look more than adorable. Key words. Used to. He started those chuckles before typing again.

LET'S PLAY: debate and the waiting game!!
Let's play: Felix grinned as he received text messages and typed his responses as he chirpily spoke with his parents about how a hawaiian pizza beat any other food. His father had taken a stance that barbequed food was the best and his mother had said that white chocolate was better. It was a small light hearted debate as they ate breakfast and finished, then lost track of time. “White chocolate is so smooth and sweet, it beats both you boys” Felix’s mother said as she leant back on the counter and crossed her arms, as if she’d won the debate but her husband would not go down that easy. “But barbequed food can be anything from meat to fruit and veges. It’s got a bigger range” Felix’s father piped up as he smirked at his wife thinking he had defeat.

But pizza can be delivered to your door, no barbeques, no going to the shops. So pizza rules” Felix put in his two cents before he focused on searching his phone for something to do. His fingers pressing the buttons on his phone’s screen as his parents got deeper into the debate, bringing up cost, harm to the environment and health. There was never just a simple, I win, end of discussion. They always got down to the small tedious stuff many people wouldn’t even think about. Like the cost of packaging and the amount of carbon emissions during transport. Most people would think they were really arguing, but this was more to keep each other on their toes and all out competition. Felix had never won, but he usually got distracted midway through like today.

It didn’t take long for Felix’s mother to conquer all and fork out her winning demands. “You boys are going to clean this house for me” The woman said with a triumphant grin and a new glow about her. She won most times so it wasn’t unusually for her to demand such minor things. All the two males could think was they were glad she didn’t want them to go shopping with her again. Chores, cleaning the house, washing the car were when the woman was feeling like being nice. Felix and his father would never shake off the memories of being forced to wear a dress and heels. A new message rolled into Felix’s phone and he tilted his head when her read his cousins words. Party crashing? He didn’t think his cuz was into that sort of stuff. She always seemed so official. But hey, is she was going to take Felix, he wouldn’t say no. Felix brushed his fingers over the screen once more typing in the message.

                          Okay cuz. I’m rdy enough.
                          At rents place though.
                          Meet me at front.
                          >> felix
                          RAWR

It was sent to his cuz, Eve a message and then smiled at his parents as he stood up. “Evelyn’s coming over. I guess I’ll have to make it up to you some other time” Felix said to his mother as he cleared up his plate, dumping it loudly in the sink before he collected up his papers and leaving the half packet of chips. His father would clean that up and properly eat them later. The brown haired boy wondered through his home to the front door, kicking open the screen and closing with his foot behind him. Whenever Evelyn came over, Felix tried to keep her away from his parents. They would probe her about how well their son is doing and he figured his cuz would be straight up and say he might as well be a sack of potatoes. That would leave him having his parents try and help him get better, then try and figure out why he sucked so hard. It was bad enough him knowing he wasn’t the best, he didn’t want it to end up with him being dragged to therapy. Cause he knew that’s what his parents would do in a show of support to help him overcome what was holding him back.

Felix made it across his porch, down the few steps and onto the driveway. His mother car was parked first, the red Volkswagen beetle. That car was so deceiving; it showed no sign of being the vehicle of a vampire slayer. Felix made his way down the driveway, past his fathers silver commodore with a huge dent in its side. The man could kill vampires but he couldn’t drive a car without being run off the road every 3 months. Felix’s car was parked on the street; the black scratched and rumbling sounding car was just his in between car. The boy was waiting to get a motorcycle, hoping he could get one would be more correct. He pulled his keys out and unlocked the backseat of his car. The papers were tossed on the backseat in a box of things he wanted to take home with him. Out of habit, he got his gun from out under the drivers’ seat of his car. It couldn’t kill a vampire, but Felix felt safer with it on him. The black object was tucked under the back of his shirt before he began shutting his car up.

He swaggered around to the hood of the car and them jumped back onto it. His toes brushed the ground as he sat on the hood of his car, one hand playing with his keys and the other playing a game in his phone.

┌─── you said, all day I feel you playing a part ───┐

I love the way your heart breaks
With every injustice and deadly fate

Had Avril's heart still beat, it would have skipped a few. Like Dorothy Ann skipping down the Yellow Brick Road out of Munchkin Land. She shook her head; A motion she too often associated with trying to sober up mentally and physically from an emotional attack. Then and there, everything had felt like an attack. Her battalion was lined up for a brutal battle, but her ammunition were running low. She listened like a good little girl to Devyn's parting words, her mouth too dry all of a sudden; Her throat closed up as she tried to formulate some sort of non-idiotic reply. But what did she get in that moment? Nothing. Her throat closed up and her mouth ran dry. So she swallowed as Devyn got up; The bare knock on the door telling her what she already knew. There was Elli, the one girl she could spill secrets to with abandon. But now wasn't the time to talk about her own problems, despite the fact that the air seemed so thick with them. One more tampering shake to her head, and she was sobered.

Praying it all be new
And living like it all depends on you

Avril grabbed the blanket, and wrapped herself in it casually; As if it was completely normal for her to be laying around in her swim wear. Yeah, actually. It was. The young girl had been a bit.. odd since her transition from human to vampire; night stalker, creature, blood sucker. She had been more eclectic and just flat out weird sometimes. But as Elli drew close, Avril pulled her mind back to attention;
"What're you staring at, soldier!"
"Nothing, sir! Just watching that young cadet act like a n00b!"
Bonjour, Elli." Avia murmured, knowing all too well that Elli couldn't reply. But that was no means for her not to exchange pleasantries. After all, she was trying to look normal, right? Despite that her mind was running around at a million miles a minute. Arms flailing in the air like it was on fire or something. Avia rose, taking the blanket with her, fingers playing out a simple "follow me" motion to Elli. She moved to the bedroom silently, the sound of Devyn whispering to himself and tapping on his phone growing slightly distant. Avia patted a spot on the bed for Elli before she disappeared into the closet; Rejecting the blanket and leaving it on the floor as her nimble fingers slid over a small row of t-shirts. She selected a simple white bra, and a large shirt. Tugging off the purple and black bikini top and quickly replacing it with the bra, and then the shirt. Fingers ruffled easily through her hair, and she turned to pull out a pair of biker shorts. A thong replaced the bikini bottoms, and the shorts followed. The large shirt nearly covered her shorts, leaving only pale legs; An amusing sight she thought.

Here you are down on your knees again
Trying to find air to breathe again

Avril re-appeared from the closet, easily making her way back to the bed and sitting opposite of Elli. For a moment they sat in silence; Only the buzzing in her ears proved to be distracting. She picked at a split end in her hair for a moment before finally breaking the silence.
"So Elli, what's shakin?" Avia murmured casually, trying to slowly let all the tension of her previous situation seep away; It wasn't something she wanted to talk about with Elli, it wasn't something she wanted to think about alone. It wasn't something she wanted. Avia hated fighting with Devyn, the conflict in general always worried her. Dug under her skin like some sort of parasite, chewing at her weak points and making them weaker. Made her worry.

Only surrender will help you now
I love you please see and believe again
