The fact that Shaant was willing to hang out with her on such short notice, well it was nice. She knew that she could hang out with her best friend and all the negative feelings would go away… even if he had the fame that she craved. She knew that eventually she’d have her break; she just didn’t know how long it would take to get to that point. That’s what bothered her beyond belief. Watching the television really didn’t do anything but pissed her off. Every time she watched a movie, she always thought that she could have done the lead lady role better than the actress that was chosen. When commercials came on, she always thought that she would have been better in those than the chosen actresses, etc. The show she landed on, she watched for all of thirty seconds before she started bitching about the lead casts. They both looked like noobs and shouldn’t have gotten either role. Clarissa knew she could have been a better Dolores than that one chick. Changing the channel, she felt better about herself. She knew that she could do better and the fact that she dissed someone better than her, well it was pathetic, yes, but at the same time, she knew it was the truth. When her phone went off, she quickly grabbed it up, not even considering that it was Hyori. That was the LAST person she wanted to hear from right now. Thankfully, it was JUST the person she wanted to hear from.

She read the text message from her long time friend and just smiled. She laughed a little when he said that a cop was watching him. Of course he would point out the cop. She loved Shaant, not in that sense, but even if he was a manwhore, it didn’t affect the way that she saw him. He didn’t try to sleep with her, so they were able to carry out a normal friendship. Not feeling the need to respond to this text message, she closed it out and then went back to the tv. She knew she really should stop flipping through the channels and just turn the damn thing off. It was going to be the end of her if she didn’t. After flipping through about forty more channels, she turned the boob tube off and tossed her remote onto the dining room table. She had no clue what she wanted to do before her class, aside from hang out with Shaant. She knew that he’d be there shortly, so she was quick about getting fully ready. She took a shower in the matter of about five minutes and then went back to her room and put on a pair of her skinny jeans with a top that looked good, or that she thought looked good, which was good enough for her. She quickly brushed her hair and then towel dried it. It was short enough so that it wouldn’t take long at all to dry. Maybe twenty minutes tops.

She was on her way to throw her towel in the bathroom when she heard a knock at her door and on the other side the person asked for coffee or a monster, or both. She laughed and eagerly threw her towel in the bathroom, not caring where it landed and went to the door. She unlocked it and opened it up and there was her best friend on the other side. She had one of the biggest smiles on her face and hugged him. It was nice to be in the presence of someone who A) Thought she mattered or B) Didn’t make her act like a complete dunce. When she let go of him, she backed up into her apartment ”Well I don’t think I have any Monster, but… wait… I didn’t make coffee either. I could always make a quick pot if you want” She told him. She didn’t want to be a bad host, regardless of how good of friends they were. Randomly her phone went off and she looked in the direction that it was coming from. She went over, dreading the text, having a strong feeling of who it was. Then when she picked it up and saw that it was Doc, she couldn’t help but to smile brightly. She wasn’t as close to Doc as she was Shaant, but she knew that she was liked by him because he had only a million different nicknames for her. She read over his text message giving a chuckle. Hitting reply, she went about sending him back a message

Doc! :D Things have been okay.
I don’t even know the x-games
were coming around! Hahaha
if you said my name over the
foudspeaker that would be quite
delightful. We need to catch up!
I’ve missed you!

She sent the text and then stuffed the pocket in her phone and sat on the couch. She looked to Shaant ”Did you have any plans today?” She asked him. She knew that he probably did after he left here, but maybe if he had plans before her class, she could always bother Doc, he’d want to hang out, right? As he went on telling her about the few things that he had to do, Clarissa started to think about possibly skipping her class. She had a very eventful night that didn’t particularly go the way that she wanted, so she didn’t really feel like dealing with people aside from the ones that mattered right now. No, she wasn’t asking for pity, just someone to keep her company for a little bit. What person didn’t want that? Regardless if they were wanting pity or not. She didn’t see anything wrong with it. She hated when people pitied her. Like when she lost the role that Hyori got, some people pitied her and she would just roll her eyes and leave them because she didn’t want their pity. Why would someone want pity? It was just a very stupid emotion that really wasn’t needed in the human emotions. As Shaant was ranting on about something, she thought about her skipping class again. The more she thought about it, the more she liked the idea. She could do something better in the mean time. She thought about food for a second because now she really was hungry, even if she had a toaster strudel.

”What time does lunch shift start? Is it time to be able to get food? I’m starving” She said to him. She didn’t care what food they had, she just knew that she wanted food. Shaant had seemed to really want coffee or something because he suggested going to get a coffee or something before they went out to get food. Clarissa really had no concept of what the time was at the moment, so she agreed to it ”I don’t see how it could hurt” She said with a shrug. She grabbed her coat and bag then walked out the door with Shaant, locking the door behind her. She followed him as he led the way to the car and hopped in when the door was unlocked. Yeah, Clarissa did have a car of her own, but if she was going to be hanging out with Shaant, and they were going to the same place, why would she drive her own car? When they started to go, Clarissa got the idea to invite Doc along ”I hope you don’t mind” She said and dug the phone out of her pocket ”I’m gonna invite Doc to have lunch with us. He texted me this morning” She told him. She opened a new message and promptly started on the invite to the comedian.

Hey, Shaant and I are gonna grab
a coffee and come bother you. Do
you want anything and where are you
at? You’re going to lunch with us. <3

Once they had their packets of cigarettes, Chris paying for them which was not unusually at all. Serena was forever lending him smokes, she had no idea what he did with them but he seemed to be out a lot. Maybe he lost them, that’s what Serena did a lot. She’d place them down, turn around and lose them. But she could barely keep track of how many wallets she had lost in her apartment a lone, and don’t get her started on the amount of keys she had lost. Chris losing cigarettes was the least of her worries, but it amused her. It was while she was taking her packet from the counter when Chris walked away from her side, and she watched him leave the store. He seemed distracted by something, mainly his phone but other things too. Serena wasn’t as blind as people thought; she just wasn’t someone who was going to notice and bring it up in conversation. The whole emotional side of humans was out of her league. As for advice, numb it with alcohol, control it with cigarettes and if needed, kill some brain cells with drugs. Not like that was why she used it for the most part, it was just a bonus when there were things going on she didn’t want to deal with. This whole Chris and Cristal thing was one of them. Maybe her life was easier in high school; she got high, had regular sex with Oliver and partied as much as she wanted. Growing up sucked.

Serena followed Chrissy out of the store, her fingers opening her new packet of cigarettes and the last lie she would have to keep track of. One day she would have to have a little black book and fill it with what she had to remember. This lying business was too hard, and she already felt like a hypocrite. Maybe she could just laugh and pull out her other packet, “Haha, look what I found”. The girl shook her head at that thought as she came up behind her best friend and watched him. He was being all mysterious, dragging her out into the cold and not answering her question. Maybe he remembered all of it and now he wanted to make a joke out of it. If Serena had a boy confess to her and play stupid the next day, she would do that. God dammit, were the only words running through her head. Her eyes focused on the packet of smokes that she shoved into her back pocket. They weren’t going to cut it right now, she needed some drugs, weed preferably. There was a stash at home in her bedroom. The sound of Chris’s voice made her eyes focus on him. He was going to ask her about what happened too? That made her curious to what he did actually remember. Serena brought her hands up to her face, blowing on them to keep them warm and bouncing on her feet.

It was cute when Chrissy smiled, and Serena hid her smile behind her hands as she wondered what he meant by that. Why were boys so round about? In all the years she had been friends with boys, they’d never done anything the way she’d expect. Instead of just dumping a girl, they cheat on her, and instead of just asking, they guilt trip. It frustrated Serena for the most part, she wanted to know if he knew and he was being so, ugh! But then he was cute when he was playing coy, and it was dragging her in further. A fish being baited. That was one difference between Chrissy and Oliver. Serena never played games with the other boy; they knew where they stood and what would happen. It was just sex, nothing more. No jealousy games or wondering what he was doing. Serena did like that a little, it was easier for her. No emotional strings, she loved Oliver, as a friend, well, that’s what she was convinced of. But they were their own people, and he wasn’t like Chrissy. The boy in front of her was what she was expected to want to be with. Well, in her head anyways. A boy with proven history of monogamous relationships. Serena doubted Oliver could have a monogamous relationship if his life depended on it. But Serena was stuck on ideals, and tended to fail at seeing what she truly wanted.

Chrissy suggested they go to her apartment next, and stated he couldn’t be 100% sure on what happened either. Now she didn’t know if he was playing coy or playing with her. But in her apartment was what would calm her nerves and if that made this easier, she would opt for it. “Sure, it’ll be warmer. Kind of.” She agreed, letting out a small laugh at the thought of her shitty heater and her apartment that didn’t warm as well as it should. It was like there were holes in the walls and all the warmth snuck out. Serena watched him get out his phone once more and blew into her hands again. “I want something stronger to smoke anyways” Serena stated, referring to weed as something stronger to smoke. It was more calming then a packet of cigarettes. When Chris spoke up once more, Serena nodded in response. Inside would be warmer. His arm soon hung around her shoulders, which offered some extra warmth. That was all Serena noted, it was warmer then just on her own.

It felt natural to walk to her apartment with Chrissy, and she pushed the door open to let them into the lobby. That was when it hit her that her apartment was probably a mess. If she remembered correctly there were alcohol bottles sprawled on her bathroom floor and the stench of vomit. But she tried to shake off the panic when she realized it was just Chrissy, he’d probably seen her apartment and her in worse states. “My apartments a bit messy and yeah, from last night” She explained with a shrug, but it didn’t leave her mind that he would look at her apartment and think there was something wrong with her. Most people thought that upon entering her apartment. She’d pretty much lived like that since her mother left, messy, unorganized, empty bottles and pizza boxes and some kind of weird smell. Why it was suddenly a problem was strange though. Serena found her keys as she led Chrissy up the stairs to her level and down the hall. The first thing Serena did was check if her door was still locked before she proceeded to unlock and open her door. She entered her apartment first, leaving the door open for Chrissy as she headed for her room. “Just gonna find my stash, make yourself at home” Serena stated, but it was really not necessary. All of her friends could use her home as their own.

Serena made it to her side cupboard and began sifting through her things. Her weed was found easily, and she soon found herself back in the main room with Chris. The bag in her hand as she turned the heater on, it was just a small convection heater and then brought her attention to Chrissy. “Did you want any?” Serena asked Chris as she plopped down on her couch, clearing a spot on her coffee table, first placing the bag down upon the surface and then searching through her draws for her bowl. The conversation from earlier hadn’t left her mind yet, but this would help her work through what happened next. It was a precaution. Plus, maybe they’d just get high and forget about all that serious stuff going on. Serena liked to believe drugs fixed every situation, and then made it better.

Did Kevin ever mention how much he loved Sami? She was just well... She understood his love for fast food. In fact the few times he’s traveled the states he’s been able to enjoy Whataburger in Texas, Bojangles in North Carolina along with Savage energy drinks! They.. are.. the BOMB! If his agent could work some connections and pull some strings his sponsor was going to be the Savage Energy Drinks... Anyway he’s had Kentucky Fried Chicken in Kentucky... It tasted the exact same. Maybe it helps that they are all processed at the same plant only to be frozen and shipped across the United States of America. So the KFC in New York was the same as the KFC in Kentucky.. And... Hm... ‘I just want fried chicken.’ Kevin thought to himself eyes wide... It wasn’t bad. It was just odd how he could think of some food for so long. He hadn’t had the Colonel’s chicken in a while.. He just knew he wasn’t getting the grilled chicken. Maybe their soul food bowls or something... Or if he’s really feeling like a fact bum the all meat burger, whatever it’s name was.. Gosh his friends in England would probably double over Americans were so ridiculous with their Supersize meals that no longer exist because of a silly documentary he was forced to watch in highschool.. Not to mention the school system was all whacky who came up with these things.. And the president was nothing like the Queen.. It’s one of the reasons he didn’t care to watch the news, he wasn’t interested in American politics.

Or maybe it was that he was no longer interested in America as he once had been as a young kid when he moved here. He had always been the rebellious kid so it was odd when he had to move here because of his father’s business. They weren’t poor and they weren’t out of sync with Britain or anything it was just they needed to go where the money was. Which due to his father’s position it was no longer in the United Kingdom. It stunk as a kid though leaving his longtime friends behind. Most importantly Trevor. The two were practically adopted brothers with each respective family. People always wondered where he was for two weeks in summer and why he ignored his phone calls from America during the time. Simply because it would ride up the bill. Though he had sacrificed an allowance or two to get a conversation with Sami in during his high-school years over there. The two were close and maybe it helped that their parents were too. Trevor had stayed over in America a few times and they both enjoyed teasing silly Americans and making fun of the Southern boy and Yankee stereotypes that resided here and so on.. Heck the two even got in trouble together for the most part so it was because he did miss being able to hang out with his friend as often as he’d like that started to get Kevin wondering if he really wanted to live here or move back to the United Kingdom. It was just that Sami had family here and a business would she be willing to give it up to move somewhere else?

The fact she was about as equally impressed with football as he didn’t surprise him. They tended to skip out on the games for the most part if only to go for the homecoming game simply to get that picture of them in their personalized school color outfits and to be featured in the yearbook kissing as the confetti was thrown behind them during halftime... And Hell yes Kevin loved that they had the biggest picture in the Homecoming game section. It may’ve helped that Basil was on the yearbook committee but Brad and Melody hardly had much of a shot it was blurry and pixelated and not nearly as intriguing and pleasing to look at as the one with the Skater and the Original (disclaimer: this is Kevin’s opinion) “I’m glad we can skip out.. Maybe we can just chill on the couch..” Who knows it was a suggestion! But they could work on getting to know each-other on that more personal level once again. It was just a thought.. One he didn’t dwell on all that much just because it embarrassed him on many respects... But if things went his way they’d just have some alone time and they wouldn’t have to deal with the baby drama. Lord knows they needed to get away from that while they could it was just.... odd.. Granted this was the Creative clique but it seemed odder than that.

Hearing that Chris had broke up with Corey.. Well didn’t they break up in high school over nothing? So was it honestly a surprise they ended up breaking up again... Only this time there was a little or bigger difference.. Corey wasn’t pregnant in high-school like she was know... How did she plan to even support the fetus growing in her stomach or was she going to get an abortion.. Sure he’d been having this same conversation about a girl he’s barely texted, same reverse with her, since high-school. But it was just... He didn’t understand pregnancy... Yes he took the Family Life Education course in middle school. The skater just didn’t see how someone could forget to pop a pill or slip on a condom... It was just one of those things that he thought was super easy to do yet the rest of the world seemed to have trouble with especially the girls’ on “Sixteen and Pregnant”. Yet Corey wasn’t sixteen, though she was carrying child... Maybe it something he wasn’t supposed to understand so he tried to stop and push those thoughts as he held onto Sami’s hand. The time they broke up was because she had graduated before him and he well he was held back.. yeh bad he knew but he didn’t think it’d be like that.. He was going turn twenty-three before the X-games started so it was all good.

When they got there starting with the basics like Sami suggested didn’t sound like a bad idea. So what better trick to start off with then the ollie. The ollie is the most important skateboarding trick. In order to do a kick flip, heel flip, pop shove it, and pretty much every other skateboarding trick involves the ollie. To ollie the skater had to put his front foot in the middle of his board and his back foot on the tail, and bind his knees. Then Kevin snapped the tail of his board down, then jumped, and after he jumped moved his front foot up to the truck bolts at the front of his board to even out. It may sound complex but it really wasn’t. It was the basic of all basics. To ollie high it just takes practice; and Kevin has had a lot of that. The more he practiced the better he got. It was almost like drinking... For him it was just so easy... And when he was done with that trick he blew Sami a kiss before heading into the bowl where he pulled off a casper. To Casper he got his feet in to a kick flip stance. Then did a kick flip but not as hard as you would to do a kick flip. He only needed to get half the rotation of a kick flip. He caught the board when it was upside down with his front foot in the middle of the under side of the board and Kevin’s back foot on the tail on the top of his board; the griptape. He only wanted the tail to barely be touching the rail of the bowl. And to finish it he jumped up and flick his foot up.

He had heard Sami yell ‘victory’ and he was just going to assume it was because of his tricks. But if it wasn’t going to bother him as he decided to do his final trick which was he best trick to stop your board. It was the tre flip also known as the three-sixty flip, Kevin had to put his front foot like he would for a kickflip and put his back foot on his tail, right where the board starts to incline. Make sure his toes on his back foot were hanging off the board. Then he’d need to scoop the board with his back foot, like he would for a three-sixty pop shuv it, and with his front foot give the board a light tap like he would for a kickflip; but lighter. Kevin was able to make more of a spin on his board rather than a flip. Then when he saw the board come around he stopped it with his front foot after successfully jumping out of the bowl next to were Sami was. His vision was still on the board as he kicked it up to look at Sami, he had still not registered the other two people hanging around the skate park. “Eh.. it was just the average stuff.” Was all he had to say to the few stunts he had performed. And rather than looking up from Sami and taking note of his surroundings his signature ringtone for Basil went off once more, and yes it was the same since learning his friend was gay and he saw nothing wrong with having ‘f*****t’ by MSI be his ringer.. His best friend was batty (and closer than he knew).. So without even paying much attention he texted the writer as fast as the tricks he pulled.

                                                well i guess corey’d kno..
                                                it’s her baby anyway. but
                                                yeh... it kinda is.. Hah
                                                Sami’s cool we have no
plans for kids in the near
                                                future.. so we’re good.
                                                good4u//Kevin

Maybe it was just him but he found the last statement a little odd but he wasn’t going to let it bother him. He just put his phone back and was just about to pop his board down and go back to skating before the back of his head nagged him to look up and maybe he was just a selective notice or what because he still didn’t notice the comedian as the Psychic stuck out to him more. His Mucca* was standing right in front of him. He hadn’t seen his best friend in what seemed like ages! So the thoughts he had earlier about slipping away and falling out of touch with people had to be false seeing as how Trevor was right here! And almost instinctively without thinking about it his british accent seemed to slip out. (Hey his parents still had there’s and it doesn’t go away easily), “What’s a pished git like thou doin in across the pond?” He said as he gave a bro hug to his friend that was as close to as a brother, if he had one, would be to him. Sure he just called his friend a name but it was just a joke and there was no doubt in Kevin’s mind that Trevor didn’t know that... They’d known each other long enough, “Now then, you sure you can handle the numbnuts without beatin the seven shades of s**t outta someone? Us Cockneys’ are known for doing mad keen stuff like that..” Okay so Kevin couldn’t help himself... He’d said very few british phrases in the states. Yet now that Trevor was here for a visit Kevin was assuming he could get away with saying some of them... And as said he had yet to notice his british was showing... Though he did notice the other guy who looked like someone he’d seen on Youtube before yet he wasn’t sure if it was Doc or not... Besides he didn’t look like he was here to make conversation anyway and Kevin was too busy catching up with Trevor to say something in the male’s direction... So it’d just have to wait.

The suggestion of staying at home and maybe chilling on the couch instead of going to the football game made Sami smile ”Maybe” She said. She wasn’t going to lead on to the fact that she had bigger plans, MUCH bigger plans. It reminded her that she needed to gather up Basil and Corey. She wanted them to be there when things went down. They were her two best friends, why not? As the two were heading to the skate park and they were just talking, He had asked about Corey and Sami gave him the information that he wanted to know, but not too much information to put all her business, granted she didn’t know that he knew about the whole baby-daddy-drama already. With her phone going off and her not answering it, it didn’t bother her. She wasn’t one of those people who HAD to have her phone in hand, answering every text message as soon as she got it. The only issue was that if she didn’t answer it pronto, she forgot and wouldn’t answer for hours… normally. Sometimes Kevin didn’t get responses or calls back when she was working because either A) people forgot to tell her that he called or B) when he called or texted her, she was busy doing her entrepreneur duties. Her suggesting that he start with the basic drills and impress her later, she thought it was a good idea. She had no clue what the hell he was gonna do or anything, so keeping it vague gave him the freedom to do whatever his heart desired and kept her from having to decide on something she didn’t know about.

After responding to her few text messages, she just kept her eyes on Kevin. How he was able to do all that stuff, she’d never know. She found it amazing though. She just knew that his special talent was his skateboarding like hers was clothing designs. While watching him, as he started to get more into what he was doing, she was thrown off a little by him blowing a kiss at her, but it made her smile brightly. She would have blown him a kiss in return, but he had already turned his attention back to what he was doing, which was a good thing. She’d rather just give him a real kiss later than to have him distracted at all and end up hurting himself so that he couldn’t play in the x-games. Her phone made the sound of the aim thing and it made her look at her phone. She knew that Trevor had gotten on the plane, but she didn’t understand how he could have texted her, unless something happened and he didn’t make his flight (which as very plausible) or he was already there, which also would have thrown her off. Reading over it though she got the confirmation that he had landed. A grin came across her lips so big that she probably looked like a dork. This was exciting! One of the big surprises of today was about to happen! She IMed him back and told him that they were at the skate park. She didn’t see it as odd, but then again, she wasn’t exactly normal to begin with.

When he responded asking her the address and whatnot, she didn’t know whether or not to just give him the address and make him go to the skate park or make him go to their apartment and make Kevin leave now and then they could meet up with Trevor at their apartment or what. When he asked for the name of the place, Sami chuckled because well, that just made the decision easier on her. She promptly sent him the address of where she currently was and didn’t get a response to the message. She wasn’t offended for the simple fact that she kind of didn’t care, she knew that he’d be there any time now and if he ended up not getting the message, he’d send her the message asking for the address again. As she sat there on the edge of the bowl, still watching Kevin, she waited. She didn’t know what to expect. While her man was doing things that she could never, a very tall brit came and sat next to her. When he got there, she looked to him and smiled widely. Being asked how long they’ve been there, she chuckled and shrugged ”I’m not too sure, doesn’t feel like a very long time though” She told him. She looked back up to see what Kevin was doing, and his skating was taking all of his attention. Being asked if she told him yet she grinned and said ”Pshhh. Hell no. That would take the fun out of the surprise” She said.

When he said they should wait to see how long it took for him to notice, Sami was all on board. It didn’t bother her at all. She actually thought it would be kinda funny ”So how was your flight?” She asked him, just trying to make small talk until Kevin realized what was going on. Hearing that his flight sucked, she was indifferent for the fact that she didn’t think that an eight and a half hour flight would be fun in the slightest, especially by yourself. He went on about explaining why and she couldn’t help but to chuckle, just as she thought. He said something about wanting tea or alcohol. She was all for getting him tea, but she thought it was too early for alcohol… not to mention she just didn’t like it ”Well when we get back to the apartment, we’ve got tea there, Kevin drinks it all the time” She told him. She thought it was kind of funny when Brits lived up to the stereotype and drank tea regularly. Before the two of them could go on with their conversation, they were joined by someone else, that wasn’t Kevin. Sami looked up at the male and smiled; a nice gesture. She didn’t want to come off as a b***h to someone she had never met before ”No, pretty much anything’s accepted here” She informed him. Hearing that he was new around there, Sami could tell for the fact that he didn’t seem like he was from around there with the question he asked.

Sami didn’t feel any threat or anything from this guy, so when he introduced himself and held his hand out, Sami leaned over Trevor to shake his hand ”Its very nice to meet you Murdock, The name’s Sami Stone” She said and took her hand back and let Trevor introduce himself. The guy’s name sounded very familiar and she didn’t know where she heard it from. A few moments later, it hit her ”Wait! You’re the guy speaking at the X-Games, right?” She asked, completely sure that’s where she had heard his name from before. She honestly didn’t know him from anything else. That was only because she rarely watched TV. The only reason they had TV at her’s and Kevin’s apartment was so that when they had people over, if they wanted to watch it they could or for those late nights when the other person wasn’t home and they weren’t tired. So yeah, if he was on TV, Sami didn’t know. Sami wouldn’t really be able to recognize anyone for the fact that she worked to no ends. Once again, the only reason that she actually had today off was because the employee’s practically made her. Yes she was fully aware that Trevor was coming today, but if she had work, she would have taken off for a while to go pick him up (of course by taxi) and then dropped him off with Kevin. It seemed as though Trevor seemed to not know who he was either, he didn’t say anything.

When Kevin came back, he said it was just average stuff, she didn’t really know what he was talking about, until she remembered where she was. She smiled up at him ”Well I thought it was extraordinary” She said and then grinned. She looked to Trevor who had stood up for some reason, maybe to get noticed? Or just because he had been sitting for forever and a day, who knew? It seemed as though Kevin was just going to go back to what he was doing, but then he stopped and Sami looked between the two males and quickly got up and moved out of the way, grabbing Trevor’s bag so no one would trip over it. Out of ******** NO WHERE, Kevin’s accent (that she rarely ever heard being this thick) popped up. He seemed excited to see Trevor and Sami couldn’t help but to smile brightly. She stepped back a little to let them have their bro moment. When Kevin continued to talk, she had to admit, she had no clue what the hell he was saying, but that accent was very, very attractive. She was going to let them go and catch up, so she took Trevor’s bag and went and sat down on one of the random a** benches that was in the skate park and she pulled her phone out of her pocket to send some text messages. When she looked at her phone, she was surprised to see that Corey had responded to her text message. She didn’t know why she didn’t hear it. The phone was in her hand. Maybe she had switched it to silent without noticing. Reading over her text message she smiled and went about a response

Its fine hun, I did it willingly (: but I will
he’s currently reconnecting with one of

you to do something for me. You don’t

before the game tonight. You can take
                                                          Trevor as a date ;3

She sent the text off and it didn’t even occur to her that she should probably tell Corey that Trevor was gay. Whatever, it didn’t matter. She’d find out eventually. Now was time to invite her other best friend.

                                                          Morning Basilllllllllll!!!!!! What are you
                                                          doing today?
                                                          -Sami

Getting to the skate park, Trevor didn’t really know what to expect. He didn’t know if Kevin would notice that he was there right away, or if he was doing something and would have to wait to say hi to his mate. When the taxi pulled up and he paid his fare, he was quick about getting out of the taxi. He didn’t want to be harassed to get out of the taxi. If there wasn’t anything as annoying as not being able to get alcohol whenever he wanted, it was an American rushing him and telling him what to do. Sure, Brits weren’t any better, but it was just that Trevor was favored for Brits better than Americans anyways. Brits weren’t as annoying as Americans. Maybe it was just that Trevor noticed that a lot of Americans were exploiting practically everything and just the way that they ran everything. The president had nothing on the queen and Trevor wouldn’t hesitate to say it. If Kevin wasn’t in the states, Trevor would never have come over, never would have had a reason to. Part of him really wished that his mate would move back to the UK, but he knew that he had his life there. Trevor had thought of asking about it before though. He wondered if his best friend ever wanted to come back to the homeland. No matter what his best friend wanted to do, he’d respect the other’s decision; he just knew that he wasn’t ever going to leave the motherland for good.

Meeting up with Sami, things were going pretty smoothly so far. He started up small talk, just talking about very simple things. As they went from whether or not Kevin knew that he was there to the plane ride, there wasn’t an awkward feeling, thankfully. He had talked to her in person maybe once, the rest of the times it was just over aim or Facebook or something. While the two of them were there making small chit-chat, someone had approached them and to be quite frank, Trevor had never seen this person before in his life. It didn’t bother him for the fact that he really didn’t know ANYONE in the states, aside from Sami and Kevin. When the male walked up to him and introduced him, Trevor got a very calming, friendly feeling. This guy didn’t seem like he could really be much harm. Of course this was just on a first basis type of thing. The longer he stayed around, the more he’d get a feel for this guy. Of course Trevor didn’t really care to say anything to this guy… well… he was American. Not that he judged all Americans right away… wait… He kind of had pre-determined mindset that all the Americans were going to just annoy the s**t out of him right off the bat. When the guy asked if they who could shred here, Trevor let Sami take over that one. This was the first time that Trevor had ever been here in his life.

When he introduced himself, Trevor watched as Sami introduced herself. She seemed a lot nice than he would have been if Murdock had approached him directly. When he introduced himself he shook Murdock’s hand ”Name’s Trevor Cooper” He said. He had a bit of an accent when he pronounced his name, but it wasn’t so deranged that the person would have to ask again what the name was. He brought his hand back into his lap. It seemed Sami had a revelation or something because she seemed to remember his name from somewhere. Hell, she knew more than Trevor did. It might have not helped that he was from a completely different country. Kevin popping out of the bowl and working on a text message, he made a comment about his skating that made it seem like it was just breathing to him, it made Trevor chuckle. Trevor had been sitting for HOURS, he kind wanted to just stand, not to mention with Murdock standing there, it made him slightly uncomfortable. He hated sitting while someone was standing right next to him. It was a weird pet peeve that he never really fully learned how to deal with. Sure enough though, maybe the standing was what made Kevin realize that he was there. Sure enough, his friend had noticed him. Hearing his comment, Trevor laughed and then bro hugged him back ” Well, yer lass over there arranged to fly me out here for yer competition” he said pointing over to where Sami was.

Of course his girl was over there doing something or another on her cell, but yeah, that didn’t matter to Trevor. He totally forgot about the other guy that was there. Trevor was surprised at how quick the accent came back to Kevin, he was speaking like a true Brit and it made Trevor grin. He looked down at where he was standing and noticed that his bag was missing, but he looked back to Kevin when he said something about beating the crap out of someone and Trevor just laughed ”I can’t promise anythin’ mate. For the sake of wanting to go back to the motherland at the end of the day I’ll do my dogs bollocks to not to punch-up any bloody yanks*” It was the honest to god truth though. He didn’t want any issues and then end up having to stay in America longer than he needed to. The only reason that he’d stay in America longer than necessary is if he was helping Kevin move his s**t over to the UK to live. For the record, Trevor had full intentions of asking him if he wanted to move back to England. Trevor just thought it was a lot more classy over there than it was in the states. He was also VERY biased. Looking at his friend, he had this excitement for the fact that he finally got to see him after what felt like years (only because it really WAS years)

Trevor looked out at the bowl that they were standing right next to and then back to Kevin ”Are yeh going to skate some more or can we go out for a rosy leaf*?” Trevor had decided it was too early for some ale, so he’d always go out with Kevin later and get some, unless there were bigger plans after the dinner. Yes, Trevor knew about Sami’s plans but he didn’t know if they were going to take place tonight or another night that he was here. All Trevor knew is that he was excited for it. Even if it didn’t really involve him at all, it didn’t matter; he was excited for what was going to happen. He got a very good feeling from Sami; he knew that her intentions were nothing but good. Typically when someone’s friend gets ******** over as Kevin had, typically the best friend dislikes that person to no ends because he/she had done something horrible to their friend, but for some reason, maybe it’s because Trevor knew how Kevin felt about her, Trevor never disliked Sami, disliked what she did, yes, disliked her, no. Trevor looked over to where Sami had taken a seat and motioned over to her and chuckled ”Make sure to give yer lassie a good snog*, she set everything up” Which was completely true. He didn’t want to take any credit from Sami, because honestly, not to sound like a bad mate, Trevor wouldn’t have flown over to the states unless someone asked him. Yes, he knew that Kevin had made the cut for the x-games, but Trevor had just intended on congratulating him via phone call or something.

                      *dogs bollocks – best
                      punch-up – fight
                      bloody yanks – ******** Americans
rosy leaf – cup of tea
                      snog - kiss

Justin watched her head off to the shower. It was only when she was out of the kitchen that he felt himself sigh in relief. Why was this so difficult? Why did he feel such a sense of relief when she was out of the room? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Beforehand, before he suspected her of cheating and he figured that Oliver was just out to get her, he felt as though a tiny piece of him was missing whenever she was away from him. He felt as though for a brief moment his spirit would sore when they would make love. Now he wasn't even sure if they could ever get to that moment again. He wasn't sure if he could ever really enjoy it as he had when they were teenagers. Which was strange, since they technically had their own place and didn't have the chance of getting caught by their parents or some form of authority depending on where it had been. Maybe that was it? Back then there was such a rush...but what was a rush to him, was most likely nothing in comparison to what Hyori went through when she was with Oliver.

Oliver. Why couldn't his thoughts drift from him? For all he knew, he was probably locked up in some prison getting butt-raped every moment of the day. It seemed fitting for someone like him at least. Well, Justin made sure that the rest of the kitchen was tidy, figuring that he could help his girlfriend out. He didn't mind cleaning, he preferred it, but it was one thing that he noticed while living with her. She seemed to like to clean, at least...he thought she did. Once everything was in order he felt Bandit nudge at his leg expectedly. "You wanna go out, doncha boy?" he asked the dog quite simply. Of course his dog only replied with an eager wag of his tail. So the male stooped down and grabbed playfully at the dog from both sides of his face. He only stopped playing with his pet when he heard his cellphone chime. He drew it out and saw that he had a message from Roirdan. He seemed to be so understanding with not meeting up today. He had no idea how badly Justin wanted to type back that he was kidding and that they could spend all day with each other.

He missed his friends. School was always taking such a toll...despite the fact that he did actually love school. He loved the idea of education, and wanted so badly to accomplish his dreams, just as he figured all of his friends were. Too many things kept getting in the way. Then again, people technically drift apart. Well, he'd have to think of a plan to make everything work, but what? He soon recieved another text, this one from Logan. It was a fairly good idea he supposed, he just didn't know if Ri would really want to. Hang out with his friends? Sure he could hang out with hers, and he figured it'd work the other way around as well...but what if she honestly just wanted to spend time with him? Unless. Unless he could satisfy her enough where she would be content with them going their separate ways, and possibly suggest that she take today to hang out with her friends as well? It could work. That or, have her get lunch with his friends, and then afterwards if she had a group to get to, he could tag along?

Well, at least he somewhat had a plan. But until he knew for a fact what he was doing, he wasn't going to reply. It'd cut down on confusion on everyone's part if he waited to get his facts straight. He was soon distracted by Bandit letting out a yelp of a bark. It got his attention, which might've been all the dog wanted. Simply the med-student pushed himself to his feet, and brushed himself off, and figured he might as well wash his hands. So he moved over to the kitchen sink, taking some of the anti-bacterial soap and started scrubbing away. It wasn't until he had finished, and was drying off his hands that he caught sight of his Hyori out of the corner of his eye when she entered the room. She was beautiful, as always. He wasn't surprised that she could look nice. For many people, they'd call him crazy to think that he would think of breaking up with someone who looked like her. For Justin he wasn't entirely sure if looks were the most important thing for him. Regardless he offered a smile to her 'clean' comment.

"I see you are," he told her before placing a small kiss on her lips and moved off to grab his coat. As he bundled himself he couldn't help but think back to the question. How was he going to go about this. Either a. spend time with his friends alone and do something big with her first; or b. have her join him, and then he joins her afterwards. He wasn't sure yet. When he heard her voice, he swiftly approached his girlfriend and allowed him to take her hand. When they're fingers enlaced, he couldn't help but feel a weird awkward sensation in the pit of his stomach. That feeling he couldn't quite shake, the more he held in this secret, the more he thought about it. "An' we're off," he announced as he walked with her outside of their apartment, and brought himself to lock the door before they could continue on their way, until they were out of the building as a whole, and on the sidewalk. It was definitely colder than he had expected, but he just kept reminding himself that Spring was only a month away. Valentine's day on the other hand...was only a week or so.

He glanced over at her, in the end it was now or never. With a breath he suddenly asked, "So...don't mind me askin', but how are things going with you an' your friends? I'm surprised that you're not tryna make plans to see 'em later. You know, 'cause of your day off an' all." Maybe he should try plan a. plan b wasn't turning out as well as he hoped. But plan a most likely had sex involved. He wasn't even sure how to bring that up without seeming blunt about it, and it wasn't his style to sleep with her so he could have an excuse to get away. 'My thoughts are pretty messed up,' he mentally winced. "Anyways, Logan sorta wants the group to meet up for Lunch--- I wanted ta know if you wanted me going or not. I mean, she said that you could come too, y'know, if ya don't think that all our nerdiness won't bore ya ta death." A light chuckle slipped from his lips. Though he soon slipped in closer to her and whispered in her ear, "I mean, we'll have plenty of time ta make up for last night after the game, right?"

oliver thought nothing of it when Chris snapped back at him - 'yeah, Justin ******** Knight.' Yikes. The boy had bite in him after all. - though he did slightly wonder what he'd done. Had he been acting any different than usual? Mm... No way. He'd been keeping to himself and letting people work their own s**t out like he always did. No use in getting involved in things he didn't have to get involved in. He'd been in enough trouble to last anyone a life time, and he was only in his early twenties, for god's sake.

and if Chris suddenly had a problem with him even though Oliver hadn't changed a bit since the two met, way back in high school, then oh well. He'd get over it eventually, and Oliver had no intentions of apologizing for just being Oliver. Gosh, one would think people'd be used to him by now. When Chris groaned about how he needed a smoke, Oliver nodded in agreement that yes, he could indeed use one of those, to himself, and shoved another bite of waffles in his mouth so he couldn't speak without it sounding like mmmffhhhdjshghhf.

                                                            or something similar.
"So you seem to know Just Knight as well? Tell me what do you know about him, what are you thoughts of him and how do you know him." The guy asked, and without looking up from his food ( which was almost gone by now, sadly enough ), and before taking another bite, and mumbled, " Well he gets jealous real easy. " Then he smirked and was rendered speechless - or at least unable to talk - with another bite.

the dude left, come and gone, just like that. Ugh. Oliver definitely preferred mellower company. When Chris got up so suddenly, he looked over his shoulder, out the window, where he could see the back of Serena. Her lung hair hung down her back like always, and curling tufts of smoke came from where she stood. He looked for a moment, then turned back to his food, which he took another bite of. He'd just say hey to her later. Besides, he didn't feel it necessary to go say hi now, while Chris jumped up to go see her. Oliver never felt that it was necessary to go say hello to people he knew. Especially not when he was in the middle of eating waffles.

he'd probably see Serena later today if she hung out with Chris - which she probably would - and if not then fine. He could hang with her whenever he wanted, or more accurately when he was free, and vice versa. They weren't the type of friends that needed to see each other or talk constantly, but it usually ended up that way considering they lived pretty close. All of them did though - Chris, Alex, Serena and him.

"so Olly what are you gunna be doin tuhday?" Alex suddenly inquired, and Oliver turned and looked at her for a moment, before turning back to stare at those darn waffles again. God they were beautiful. At least to someone still as hungry as him.
" Absolutely nothing, " he replied simply, and then she ran off before answering him, which didn't bother him in the least. Friends, to Oliver, were like... naps. Yes. Naps.

he loved the ones he had - yes, it was true, he was more than just a passive, monotone robot - and he liked being with them, but they weren't really necessary ALL the time and after being with friends, you were ready to be on your own again. Just like how after you slept, you were ready to be... awake, again. Alexia could go do whatever she needed, and Serena and Chris could go do whatever they wanted, and he was fine on his own. Maybe he'd just go see his Mom and Aunt, but-

"oli," in the sweet voice he remembered, even though it had to be Serena or Alexia just sounding exactly like- Cristal. Whoa. Wait. Cristal? Didn't she hate him? She stood in front of the table and while she texted Oliver took the opportunity to look her over. Yep. Still as sexy as he remembered. He couldn't think of a single thing she'd want from him. Although, he did slightly wonder about her and Chris. Hadn't he just walked off with Serena? She did look a little upset.

and hold on, hadn't that been the case when they'd first slept together? Not that she had been upset about Chris, not then, but still upset. Hm...
"Oliver...do you think I'm pretty?" He raised an eyebrow at her, sipping his coffee, now practically cold. Ugh. He could only stand coffee for so long, and only when he needed to wake up. He would love a cup of tea now, or water, or something other than this. She began speaking again, and his eyes snapped up to hers. "I'm only asking because you're a guy and everything, but am I so terrible that people only see me as a pretty face? I'm...just trying to figure out what's wrong with me...and I'm guessing that you had a list. I would like that list now, Oliver..."

                                                            well, huh. Who knew?

oliver shook his head, and then as he opened his mouth to answer her, he noticed the napkin her slender fingers pushed towards him. He was only confused for a split second until he realized that waffles were generally pretty messy, especially when slathered with syrup like he had made them, and he took it and wiped his mouth. Smiling quickly ( and cutely, purposely ) at her, he began to speak.
" Cristal. For one, I think you're gorgeous. I do have limits, believe it or not. I don't sleep around with just anyone. "

then he paused, and considered. " Sorry. That was supposed to sound a lot more flattering than it actually... came out. Secondly, while you do have quite the pretty face, that's definitely not all there is to you. I was with you long enough to see that, and if you were so mindless then you would have taken my s**t and not broken up with me. That was supposed to be another flattery thing, by the way. My meanings aren't the clearest, I know. Je suis désolé. I'm sorry. " Ooh, pulling out the French? Already? To flirt or not to flirt...

then took a breath, and continued.
" There's nothing wrong with you, trust me, and, " here he laughed, just a little, " I don't have a list. I'm just an a*****e. A huge one. And if this is about Chris, then you just have a taste for jerks. Even though he is a much better guy than I am, " he finished bluntly, flashing another small, cheeky smile at her and biting into his waffles again. While he chewed, he took out his phone, and then, suspicions in mind, he texted Serena.

hey b***h, thanks for coming in
and saying hi to me earlier.
yeah, i saw you out there.
                                                            totally just ignoring me.
kidding, how could i ever be
so mean to THE MOST BEAUTIFUL
WOMAN IVE EVER MET AND SUDDENLY
I HAVE THIS DESIRE TO CONFESS
                                                            MY LOVE TO YOU ...
                                                            ahem ahem.
                                                            there must have been something
in the coffee chris gave me.
                                                            actually, i wouldnt put it
                                                            past him. anyway, speaking
                                                            of christopher, is there something
                                                            up with you and him?

He didn't mean to play games with Serena, and perhaps he was being a little too coy. Fact was that Chris just didn't know what to reply to a question like that. What did go on? He wasn't one hundred percent sure himself. He wasn't drunk enough that he forgot the night before, well, a few things, but he was pretty sure he remembered the gist of it. It was easier for Chris to play around a little bit, then getting to the truth. Perhaps things were better left off as it was, considering how Cristal was acting towards the two of them. And last time Chris checked, it wasn't very nice to lead someone on, then go to someone else the very next day. It wasn't fair. It seemed like he couldn't live without either of the girls. Chris glanced at Serena when she was focused on the cigarette packet, and he couldn't help but smile to himself. Before getting caught staring at her, he looked away, enjoying his cancer stick. It really did do wonders. His hands had even calmed down.

Chris laughed, at Serena's mention to 'kind-of' being warmer. "That's fine, anything's better than outside, " he remarked. It was true. It was hella cold outside, and even though the shaking from the lack of nicotine was gone, it was replaced with the shivers. Chris hated feeling shaky. Then he had put his arm around her, and they were on their way. He didn't mind smoking something stronger than just a cigarette. He hadn't done so in so long, it seemed the right thing to do for this kind of situation. He'd always do that when he was in high school. If there was any sort of problem, he'd go to the weed. Not that he every really fixed any problems, but it worked for him. By the time he was done being high, which was almost never, the problem had worked itself out. If only it could be that way still. He used to get all his good green from Oliver, but now they didn't really talk much. It just wasn't the same anymore.

It was a short, quick, quiet walk to Serena' apartment. He knew the way by heart. It wasn't odd, or weird for them to not say anything. Rather, it was comforting knowing that they didn't always need to be talking to fill up the quietness. Just enjoying the other person's company was good enough for Chris. As they entered her apartment, he shrugged at Serena's comment. It didn't bother him one bit and he was used to it by now. Serena had always been untidy, and it wasn't like he cared or anything. He shut the door after he got in, then instantly felt his phone vibrate. It was about time Cristal wrote back. Though when he opened the message, he couldn't believe it. He frowned, staring at the screen.

What the ******** Cristal? I'm not Oliver.
Me and Serena have been friends for way longer than I've known you,
                                              there's never been anything more.
Seriously Cristal? I was with you last night, not her.
That should mean something to you. It did to me
Don't talk to Oliver. He'll only screw with your mind... »»love,Chris.

Chris paused when he typed out 'there's never been anything more'. But there was, wasn't there? A brief kiss yesterday. He continued typing away furiously anyways, deciding not to worry about that. Better that she didn't know. He was honestly pretty pissed off. Cristal was kind of acting like a princess, as always, but right now she was just taking it too far. He briefly worried that she'd talk to Oliver in the low state she must be in. He shook it off though, just wanting some weed and to be with Serena. Putting his cellphone away in his pocket, he sat down on Serena's couch next to her.

"Yeah, that sounds great right now," he sighed, settling back into the couch. He spread his arms out, getting comfortable. He smiled slightly, watching Serena get everything prepared. "This reminds me of the good ole days." He still had his cigarette, which he put out on the ashtray that was on the table. "So about yesterday..." Chris trailed off before he continued again. "I was wondering whether it was just a good dream, or it actually happened... Maybe if we had the same dream, it'd prove somethin' " he smiled crookedly, wondering what Serena would say in response. Would she admit to it? Or just say he was insane?

Maybe for tonight it'd be better if he forgot about Cristal tonight. She was causing too much drama anyways. She had nothing to worry about, right? It was just him and Serena as usual. They were always alone, and yesterday was the only day that something had actually happened. Chris would feel like a very lucky man if something like that happened twice. He wasn't so good in luck though, considering the past few days.

He...was smiling. Just the fact that he was smiling brought a feeling to overcome her. It was that same awkward feeling from before. The one that brought her to feel that fluttering sensation of flattery. He said she was gorgeous. So, why at the same time did she feel a sickening feeling in the pit of her stomach. It was practically a feeling of de ja vu. Back at her party, when she was mad at the fact that she heard that Oliver was interested in Hyori and fooling around with Serena, she had asked Chris if she was ugly. What Oliver told her, Chris had roughly said the same thing at the time. Well, minus the sleeping around part. Okay, so that sleeping around part didn't really settle too well. It made her feel like such a whore. But she wasn't all that much of one, was she? It wasn't like she had dozens of nameless boytoys lined up to satisfy her like Trinity. Honestly, she had no idea how her friend could not flinch everytime she was called a slut, or a whore, or anything along the lines of that.

And yet he apologized. Oliver went as far as to say he was 'sorry'. Why did that single word mean so much to her? Because her mind was trying to figure out how to interpret for the better to protect herself. She wanted to believe that there were plenty of guys who were interested in her. She wanted to believe if she were to ever have her heart broken, she'd have someone else on speed-dial. She wanted to believe that guys weren't irreplaceable. But could she really bring herself to flip back and forth between the two? For all she knew, Oliver and Chris probably were telling her that she was the one who could be easily replaced. Still, what he said did make her feel better. He told her that she wasn't stupid, that she was more than just a pretty face. God, at that point she wanted to move over to the other side of the table and hug him tightly. She wanted to say that she instantly forgave him of everything he had ever done to her. All the insecurities he caused, the constant jealousy she experienced or all the evil thoughts she had towards Hyori and him.

She wanted to apologize for constantly hoping that he'd get caught by the police so he could be raped a few times, all for the sake of him getting what was coming to him, out of all her spite. Maybe it was also the fact that he said something in French? Perhaps she was feeling a rebound of emotions, but she couldn't help but find herself smiling happily to him. When he laughed, she found herself laughing lightly as well. It took everything for her not to rest her elbows on the table, and prop her face up just to gaze better at him. Instead she continued to sit simply in her seat, but her body language showed that she eased up more. She was feeling a load more confident that she had when she entered the room. He was just so blunt. So very honest, even when it came to her sleeping with his bestfriend, he didn't seem angry or anything. Instead he admitted that he was a much better guy that he was. And yet, even though he said he was an a*****e, and admitted he was a jerk, Cristal was ruling out in her mind that maybe he wasn't as bad as he claimed he was.

Maybe he was misunderstood? Cristal constantly felt as though she was. Sure she could be very bitchy and spoiled and typically hated girls, she felt that there were plenty of good things about her as well. She was a person, she had feelings too! At times she felt that the only people who understood her, were her friends...well, and Chris. But she wasn't even sure. Instantly now she made up in her mind that he was lying to her and that anything he brought himself to say in his next text message would be just that; a lie. "Aw, thanks," she replied, though tilted her head slightly and cooed, "But perhaps you're not as much of an a*****e as you think. I mean, if you were, then would you have said all of that?" She didn't think much of him texting. Hell, she texted all the time. She didn't even care if he was texting to a girl or not. She wasn't at that point when she felt jealous of the things he did. She wasn't even sure if she liked him like that. She only liked hearing nice things about her...but who didn't like that?

"So, are you waiting for someone? Or just finishing up?" she asked after gesturing to what was left of his waffle. Oh gosh, he was so brave. Personally Cristal would stray away from things like that fearing that her body would blow up sending her in the category that a bunch of Americans found themselves in (for some reason). Obesity was...ultimately terrifying. And yet the thought of Chris with Serena, the way she was always so clingy whenever the two were around, it burned an uneasy feeling deep within her. She wanted to get back at him. She wanted him to know how terrible she felt seeing that. How stupid she must've looked standing there only to be rejected out in public. If she could go back in time, Cristal knew that she would've slapped him as hard as she could across the face. A bon fire with his things definitely seemed like a good idea. Well, that is until he truly says that it wasn't what it looked like, and do something to make it up to her. That would change everything!

"I don't know, in a way I'm not sure if Chris is better than you," she finally mused before flicking her gaze once more to him. "Even when you were fooling around...it was different. At least you weren't in denial about what you were doing--- hey, I'm not sure if you remembered or not, but my birthday is coming up. And I wondered if you wanted to be my supplier." She offered a grin despite how unsure she was about this. Well, she didn't want anyone to leave without getting truly trashed or ******** up. "It'll be just like old times...," she lightly giggled. It was funny, Cristal once a time use to take scissors and tear up anything of Oliver's that she owned, including pictures. She swore to all of her friends that if she ever saw him again, it'd be too soon. Why couldn't she hold grudges against guys? Honestly, she didn't think she ever could instantly forgive anyone like Hyori or Corey; and the fact that their names seemed to rhyme didn't help. And almost like it were a cue in a script, her phone suddenly chimed. She blinked a few times, though shifted her gaze to her purse before drawing out her cellphone. It was from Chris. Even before she read the message she found herself feeling slightly uneasy. Of course she figured whatever was written was most likely a lie, but then again, what if it wasn't? what if it was the explanation she wanted? What if it explained everything? What if showed that he didn't think of her as just his sex-toy, and at least would consider adding the word friend in there. Or perhaps he thought of her as more? With Chris...because of today, nothing made sense. Even with the dream she had the night before. What if...what if it had been a sign? He's not dying in real-life, but just dying in hers...

She opened the message, and read it. Almost instantly she wondered if he truly didn't see it. If he truly was going to stand there and act as though she were the crazy one. Her bottom lip trembled slightly in disbelief. Sure he was with Cristal last night, but she was also slightly buzzed on alcohol...and for her, the following morning was supposed to be better than the actual sex. She just didn't want to be a toy; and yet the fact that he had added the love part, it like sticking a band-aid on a wound. No, she soon replied:

Chris.
Don't you wonder why Serena
started being mean 2 me? She likes you!
Last night, u tried leaving the club w/o telling
me && then decided to stay w/o telling me.
If I hadn't wanted a drink, would you've txted
me? What did I do to her?? The only way I
could explain it is she's territorial && it didn't
help that you just sort of brushed me off back
there && left me feeling stupid && used. I liked
last night...I just wanted to see you when I woke
up. ):

IKNOWYou'veKnownHerLonger;; Cristal

Due to how long the other text had been, she decided to break up the last part and send it:

P.S. Chrisxox

Oliver's only being nice 2 me. He even
said that you're better than him. But
He didn't seem weirded out to see me.
He smiled. You didn't even seem happy to
see me && he and I left parted on really bad
terms. He doesn't even like me and he seemed
happy to see me. Besides, I don't think dinner
would work anymore...because there's a football
game tonight and Cedie's a cheerleader. I just
wanted to see you...cuz I didn't see you this morning.

NotSureWhyI'mSorry;; Ali

Send. "This is ******** ridiculous," she lightly mumbled to herself.

Standing there watching both Trinity and Cristal made Demetrius winder what was wrong with Cristal. It probably had something to do with that smoker guy, Chris. Demetrius chuckled, he knew he totally didn't like Cristal and yet he tried to act all though in the cafe by saying he loved and a whole bunch of other stuff that was just bullshit. But Demetrius was fooled when he said he loved her, but he didn't expect Chris to already be on his move this fast. This was just getting so much more interesting. Demetrius arched an eyebrow, he was very intrigued that Trinity was affected by him at all. Usually everyone wither punched him or got mad or never wanted him around. That was always the different types of reaction he got when it involved him "snooping around". But Trinity didn't seem to mind or care, but then again she is used to it since she is doing a porn movie first of all, which she is bound to get a lot of criticism anyways and she was a slut, sleeping around with whomever she wanted. Which was fine with Demetrius he was all about free love anyways, why should you just be and stay with one person? when you can be with many? If they don't mind and you don't mind then it should be ok. Free love see much better than being bound to one person for all eternity, stuck with the same person and same personality for the rest of your life. how boring. The game would just end. It would be like playing monopoly 50 times and winning 50 times. The game would get boring and suck.

Which was one of the reasons Demetrius liked Shaant so much. He didn't care what people thought of him, he just did what ever he felt like it. Aside from that his music is great and Demetrius was not bothered when he heard Shaant was in a porn movie, he thought that was interesting because Shaant shared his freedom in love and those types of things. Now Trinity was also becoming someone Demetrius was quite interested in, she was very similar to Shaant in her own way but also had her own flare. The fact that she didn't seem to mind him made him think that maybe Shaant wouldn't either, when he met him. He stood there and listened as he got his conformation that Cristal's problem was all Chris related. He smiled, he knew that was the case. It just sucked that she didn't really want to get in the Details, but as long as Demetrius got something he would be alright, He didn't mind. He knew that some information he would just have to find a way to squeeze it out from others. That's when Demetrius heard Trinity bring him in. He chuckled because Trinity Didn't know his real name and decided to label him Mr.Gentleman. At least one person thinks im a gentleman, he thought to himself. He knew that by the way Trinity was including him into the conversation that she knew he was listening in. Not even that bothered her, she was just full of surprises.

Demetrius smiled when he heard Trinity's offer, how sweet she was willing to include him in her 'games'. "Im not that busy, but im pretty sure you are? because don't you have a shoot to do with Shaant? unless you want to include me in your video but im pretty sure its about you two and not three." he told Trinity as he walked towards her. "By the way, it's Demetrius." he told her. As soon as he said that, Demetrius heard Cristal comment and watched as she left us, to go inside. Demetrius eyes followed her for a moment until he heard saw Oliver, who Chris 'friend'. That's when Demetrius noticed Cristal sit down and begin to talk to him. Demetrius wondered if they had a thing before or if they just liked each other but never talked about or something. But he knew something was going between those too, he just wasn't sure what. He turned his attention back to Trinity. "I see your friend is not as interested in our type of game. Maybe it might be better to do this another time, when your not so busy and your friend not so sad." He smirked as he looked at Trinity. He knew he had to leave her hanging in order for her to be interested in him for something to happen. Because that is what she likes, excitement, games, rush and the whole lot. Demetrius began backing up "I'll see you around." he told her as he smirked and gave her a wink. "Let me know when your ready." and with that Demetrius walked away towards his building.

It was a little muggy and chilly but the weather didn't bother Demetrius much it was all still good. He walked away thinking of all the events that happened today and how Glorious the whole thing was. He had so much information and he was able to meet Trinity how lucky was he? Demetrius Decided he would go back into the cafe to get himself a cup of coffee before going towards the skate park. He hoped the rest of the day would turn out as great as it had already started off. He thought of Trinity. who wouldn't? but she really left an impression on him. He just hope they would both be able o do something sooner or later. That's all he needed Patience and everything will fall in place.

The cloudy dark day seemed to actually fit Alexis mood today. No one seemed to care for her or notice that she was here. It looked like it was starting out good she was hanging with her friends, eating laughing and having fun. Until that Demetrius guy came along and ruined it. Then her best friend Serena came, didn't say hi to her and took Chris away. Then not too far behind Alex saw Mel and wanted to talk to her but got too nervous and didn't do anything but text her. But no one seemed interested in hanging out with her, she didn't even want to go back into the coffee shop to sit by herself, or with Oliver. Yet she didn't want to go home and hang by herself either. She just wanted someone to spend time with hang out and talk about life and things that happen. Now Alexis wanted to go party til no end, get wasted and stay in bed until things were better. But she was already wasted and her headache was a result of last nights party. It was dying down now because it didn't hurt as much as when she was in the coffee shop but it still throbbed. She out one had on her forehead and took a deep breath. "The pain is just momentarily it will all just go away soon." She wasn't just saying that about her headache but also about everything that had been going on with her.

Ever since Alex and Mel broke up Alexis realized she was really a lonely person. Sure Chris and Serena hanged out with her now and then but lately those two have been acting weird. As if something is going on between the two. That didn't bother Alex, because first of all Alex never really like Chris current girlfriend Cristal. Not because she a girly person, but because she was totally different from Chris. She was all about high maintenance and beauty all that stuff that Chris never really cares about. Secondly, when Chris says he would be hanging with his friends she would let him for a bit before she would show up and take him away. Alexis didn't know weather she did that because she was afraid she would lose him or something would happen but she never really let Chris get the chance to be with them. Then she would take him away and join them and once she joined them things would be...well awkward. is Serena and Chris would want to hook up, but damn it they are acting like middle-schoolers. Knowing that they like each other, while to everyone else that nothing is going on. They should be the adults they are and face what is going on, because all they are doing is hurting people and making people think things that might not be there. If Chris doesn't like Cristal then he needs to be man and tell her damn it stop playing with her. As much as Alex doesn't like Cristal, she doesn't believe anyone should get hurt. No one deserves that, Alex learned that from experience.

This was another reason why Alex hated guys and tended to turn towards girls, Guys just play with girls and they're emotions. They think they're actions are fine and they could do whatever they want because they are guys. Those things just piss off Alex, their machismo and their ego. It's all so stupid. It's not like Alex doesn't like boys, she does she has friends that are guys, she is even willing to date a guy if only there was one she was interested in. But since they all seem the same to her Alex just doesn't bother with it. A few minutes later Alexia's thoughts were interrupted as she received a text back from Mel. Alex became a little nervous, but she opened her message and read it. It was a normal friendly text. Alexia didn't know if she should try to be friends again with Mel or not. Could Alex broken heart handle it? Alex is fully aware that their relationship was over but not their friendship. The things is Alexia doesn't know if she could actually handle it and that was something she was scared about. She didn't know if she could be like one of those people in the movies that say they just rather be friends with the person they love than lose them. But Alex doesn't know if she could be one of those people. Either way Alex took a deep breath and decided she would give it a try, if she couldn't handle it she would just get up and leave and start all over again somewhere else. Right?

A few seconds later Alex decided she would Text back Mel:
        Well, im ok jus dealin
        wit sum stuff. Sorreh bout
da busynez. I have been 2
        wit college and a business
        im tryin 2 run. I would've
said Hi but kind dnt knw
        wut happend wit me.
        Maybe we can hang out
sum time? jus let me kno
        wen ur not buzyeh.

Alexia didn't want to re-read the text of she would've probably erased it and send something else. So she automatically sent it. After that she put her phone away and decided she would go to the Skate park and watch the guys skate. She used to love Skating, in fact she used to do it all the time, before she became a party-freak and left it aside. But she still goes to the Skate park to skate now and then, sometimes to watch others and learn moves or to just relax. She knows that the X-games are coming up and she is so excited she can't wait. Skating is one of her favorite sports and she loves seeing people compete. Alexia wanted to compete herself but she doesn't think she is good enough for that. Maybe one day when she feels ready, she would give it a try but for now she would just wait.

Alex just looked around then started walking towards the skate park, she wished she brought her board and her stuff but it was too late now. She was too lazy to go home pick up her equipment and then walk to the skate park. So she decided she would just go and observe just for today. After about 10 minutes of walking Alexia finally made it to the skate park. It didn't seem like there was a lot of people skating, there was Kevin a guys that was competing in the X-games who she thought would do real good this year, but she also noticed a girl and another guy there watching him skate. Alex decided she would sit near by and watch, she wanted to see what Kevin can do. After watching him do some moves, Alex began cheering him, it was a sudden response she forgot she was even doing it. She watched him do his skating tricks, and knew some but others she wanted to learn. She thought Kevin was great, she might even cheer for him in the X-games this year. She began yelling "Cool!" and "WOW!" so Loud people were looking at her. She even slipped a "Go Kevin!" before she realized she just shouted. She became embarrassed and hushed herself. That's when she noticed Kevin stop boarding to go talk to a friend. She wanted to go up and talk to him about the X-games but decided she would just leave it be.

The weather out side was a little more Chilly than Hyori expected it to be, maybe I should've brought a sweater? she thought to herself as they all headed outside. It was dark and muggy as she expected it to be, but it wasn't raining at least not right now. She thought this was a good thing though because now they were all able to go out and Bandit was able to have his walk. Bandit was much happier than she realized because he kept tugging her all over the place. Hyori was so skinny and didn't have too much force or muscle that she seemed to be taken wherever Bandit pleased. She was almost knocked over once because he tugged real hard, Bandit only seems to do that when he is overly excited, chasing something, or running. For a Dog Bandit sure was strong because it took a lot for Hyori not to fall down, or trip. Even trying to help Bandit stop was hard for Hyori, there were times where she needed help from Justin to stop Bandit. Since he was the more stronger and he was more used to bandit than she was. Hyori was laughing as she watch bandit walk around excitedly, sniffing things and hearing every motion. It was just so cute, Hyori couldn't help but smile and laugh.

Hyori glanced over to Justin here and there, she noticed he was worried about something, or at least thinking about something. She wondered what had him bothered but she didn't want to ask, if he didn't want to tell her. Besides if he wanted to tell he would all in his on time and pace. She smiled as she they walked down together surprised that Justin still hadn't try to pull his hand away from her. Usually when he did allow their hands to be entangled he found a quick reason why to pull them away or after a few seconds he would just pull it away and they would be in silence. They wouldn't talk about it, say anything or do anything about it. They would just leave it be and hang in the air, feeling a little awkward but they never spoke of it or talked about the subject. Hyori smiled maybe their is some change in their relationship? Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard him ask about her friends and plans. She felt a little awkward, didn't he want to spend sometime with her? She wondered, but she kept it to herself. She felt Bandit tug her hard to near a tree and so Hyori quickly pulled her hand away from Justin to grab Bandits leash with both hands. She used that as an excuse to get her hand away from him without hurting him. "Sorry bandit keeps tugging hard." she said as she smiled. She then decided she would answer his question. "Yeh actually i talked to Clarissa earlier and Kandace, Clarissa wanted to hang out and Kandace seems to be having some trouble. She seems like she needed my help. I was thinking of seeing if I could hang with her, but I wasn't sure since I wanted to spend the say with you."

Okay so maybe Hyori lied a bit, just so that Justin would think she had plans, but she really didn't, Clarissa had a class and didn't even ask her to hang out it was Hyori who wanted to hang with her. But she didn't want Justin to know that. She didn't understand why she should be upset, and even though she didn't show she was upset she was. But she told herself she had to understand and be caring and loving, so that Justin would see she is not a bad person. She totally understands that he had friends and that they would be bound to hand out with him sooner or later since he's as busy as she is all the time. So maybe she should be a little more understanding and let him hang with his friends for a bit. It wouldn't kill him right? They could talk and reminisce about old times, friends life and what is going on now. But she was scared Justin would tell about what she had done to him and how he hated her and so on. Maybe tell them things he would never admit to her. She decided to stop thinking on those things and leave those evil thoughts be. "They wanted to hang out with me since it was my day off but I told them I wasn't so sure."

They continued to walk and talk as Bandit led the way. It seemed like they were heading to a coffee shop, they lived near. Hyori goes there a lot when she is moving in hyper speed to get to class and eat something. She didn't want anything today since she already ate and because they were walking the dog. She listened as Justin continued talking about his friends and how Logan invited them to hang out. So this is what it was all about. was all Hyori could think of. Sure Logan said she could come, but it seemed like Justin didn't want her to come so that they could all hang out. Talking about their nerdiness, as if Hyori didn't know them, she didn't care about those things, those were all the things Hyori loved about Justin when they all met. Loved. The words stuck out, no she still loves him she is just having some difficulties that's all. She Loves Justin that's why she is still with him, it is also why she is still trying so hard for him to Love her once again. Hyori felt kind of bad about everything including her thoughts but decided she would be strong about it. Okay so maybe he wanted to hang with his friends what was wrong with that? He could spend a few hours of the day with them. Then they could spend the rest of the day together, that's not that bad. Right?

Hyori smiled then took a deep breath. "Yeah you're right Babe. It is our day off and we should be able to see our friends and catch up and also have time for ourselves." she looked at Bandit for a bit watching stop for a moment to pee on a fire Hydrant. "You can go Hun, you know you don't need to ask permission they're your friends too and well you guys need to catch up. So go and have your lunch with them and have fun." she said as she smiled and gave him a peck on the lips. "I don't want you to worry about me either, "ill jut text Kandace or Clarissa to see if they had made and plans yet and see if we can go hang out for a bit." Hyori felt weird, she didn't want him to go, but she didn't want to say that either and look like such a bad guy. Justin is already having trouble with what she did and she doesn't want to give him anymore reasons why he should leave her. So she just has to suck it up and let it be.

After a few more seconds walking Hyori then got close to his ear and whispered "But tonight your all mine." After that she took his hand again and decided that they really needed this. Their relationship isn't perfect and Hyori knew that but they need moments to breathe and be themselves. They need time to think and give each other space, so that when they see each other they would see what they missed about one another and hopefully strengthen their relationship. This was what it was all about, and this is what she wanted, they need the communication and the help. Anything to get them to fall in love with each other all over again.

She recieved another text message, but she decided that she'd most likely look at it once Cristal seemed...stable. Was that the right word? She didn't want to lable Cristal as being crazy or anything, but honestly, there was no need to get this worked up over a guy. Especially one like Chris. What was really special about him? Trinity couldn't even begin to name a single thing. Perhaps it was that she was rebelling against her parents and figured that these grungy guys that she kept attracting were the right choice? Trin typically preferred jocks, or guys who must've been fairly equipped. At least enough to handle someone like her. She recieved another text message. Boy was she popular? She was even more tempted to sneak a peak, but she decided to keep her attention on Cristal. She just was finding herself slightly irritated that the girl kept replying that she didn't know. How could she not know? It was her life wasn't it? It was her decision. Even when Trin went as far as to suggest a perfectly decent boy for the two of them go have fun with, Cristal was disgusted.

There was nothing wrong with...whatever-his-name-was, he was attractive. He had the attitude to at least pretend that he was dominant enough to handle the two. She didn't see any real issue. "Who cares?" Trin questioned with a shrug. Why do you have to know the guy to enjoy yourself? Do you have to know every single person that you dance with in a club? There really isn't any major difference between the two situations in her opinion. Still the muffin was pushed back into her hands so Trin simply tossed it over into the trashcan, not seeing any real need for it. She trailed her eyes towards the brunette male offering a tiny frown that this turned out how it had. Still, he had a point. She did already have other appointments. Slyly she smirked at him towards the mention of Shaant. "I'm not sure if he'd want that," she smirked lightly. Adding another guy into the shoot? She didn't have such power despite how excited the idea made her. "Perhaps you're right then." She wasn't going to lead him on with promises of another time or anything like that.

Instead she threw away what was left of her coffee and decided to go ahead and take a better look at whatever messages she had left on her phone. She only glanced up when he mentioned his name. Demetrius; it almost sounded like a ghetto version of that one guy from that one princess movie. What was the name of it? It was about an orphan or something. The only reason the movie even came to mind was because Cristal was into that sort of thing. Really, Disney Princesses (even though Anastasia wasn't a Disney Princess) at the age of twenty-one? She was twenty-one...wasn't she? Trinity furrowed her brows slightly at the thought of not even remembering her friend's age. She shrugged it off, Cristal would end up mentioning it eventually. Her birthday was coming up after all. "You already know my name," she told him simply. The tone she used, it was hard to believe that she even cared that he mentioned his name. She just seemed rather indifferent. He even went on to add that he didn't think that Cristal was into their sort of game. How cute, he thought he was good enough to group himself in with her. 'Our game', he actually called it that.

"She usually is," she told him, but this time seemed amused about something. She couldn't help but find this funny. She hadn't even seen him without clothes and he considered himself big enough to impress her. It took a lot of balls to do something like that. Especially with someone like Trinity. Don't get her wrong, Trinity could be a little crazy if she wanted. She kept a gun in purse for crying out loud. "You have a lot of confidence," she mused as she watched him walk away from the building. She didn't bother waving, but soon turned her attention back down to her cellphone. She had 3 new text messages. One for Shaant and Brad, as well as another from Mercedes. Her eyes trailed over towards the window of the coffeeshop. Cristal was talking to someone, she took a few steps forward and squinted her eyes in attempts of making out who it was. Oliver? Trin blinked in confusion of why on earth the 'Princess' would bother talking to him. They had such bad...history in Trin's opinion. Maybe she wanting a quick fix? At least that's all Trinity felt he was good for.

Still she trailed her attention once more to her first text, the one from Brad. He was saying that he owed her one. Well, of course he did. The way things went in her eyes, it was the guy who was always in the wrong. Really, did he think that insulting her or snapping because of the homoerotic comment would make her quiver in submission to him? A grin graced her lips, as she soon replied:

I'll get back w/u
on that one.
xxxTrinxxx

Her schedule at this point strictly depended on Shaant's. She, after all, had no idea of what he was currently doing. He had money, which she had to admit gave him a lot of points. Trin hated ******** with poor boys, and would never fool around with someone who didn't have their own place. The main reason why Brad was still an exception was because he was in a frat house, which just equalled more boys. So she thumbed out her responce as she walked over to her car:

Parking garage.
Limo & Elevator.
Anytime you're available

She was excited about actually filming his movie, because she liked the costumes as well as the idea of being filmed doing what she enjoyed doing most. Did she think of herself as being cheap? Trashy? Of course not. If you're trashy or cheap, then the things you fool around with are just as much. Trin didn't like cheap things, and often enjoyed the gifts of luxury that came with sex. She might've been a slut, but she had her own standards as well. She trailed her eyes to Mercedes's message, feeling partially guilty that they weren't able to hang out at this exact moment in time. She was so curious about jock thing, then again, the fact that Kaiser would even bring himself to make mention of Bradley like that...was...odd. Regardless, she texted:

I'm not sure if I
can come right atm.
I may have an appointment
w/ Shaant. Tho, I think
Cristal may need some
company. She's...drifting
back to Oliver. Yeah, I know.
Do you know if Mel's almost
done?
xxxTrinxxx

She stepped into her car, and started up the engine. Being out of the cold was a relief, but at times you get use to it. There was no way in hell that Trinity was going to truly bundle up. Sweaters really weren't all that sexy. Or more so, she didn't like the hassle of getting out of them. Before driving off however, she decided to go ahead and send a text to Cristal. She didn't want anyone thinking that she didn't attempt t warn the girl. So she texted:

Be careful talking to Oliver.
Wouldn't want you getting
attached.

ugh. Bummer. Waffles were gone. Oliver pushed the plate to the edge of the table for a waitress to pick up, but not before he touched his finger down to the golden syrup that remained on the plate. Oliver licked it off, and then let himself lean against the polyester seat behind him, releasing a quiet sigh. This would be about the time he'd leave, if Cristal weren't sitting right across from him. He wasn't looking to steal her from Chris, or to get into her pants with flattery - if she wanted any of that, it was a whole other story. And while Oliver knew he was being rather flattering, and he knew he was doing it on purpose, it was only because it was in his nature.

he listened to her words and found himself smirking lightly at them. Wasn't as bad of a guy as everyone thought he was? He didn't think that he was a bad person, although he did know he was a complete and total a**. He was just trying to keep treading water like everyone else was. Tying to make it. Trying to stay in control, and on top of things. He did what he had to do and some of it - the drugs, for instance - while it may not have been all that good a choice, seemed the only choice. At least for someone as lazy as him. But it wasn't his laziness that stopped him from trying in high school or getting into a good college for a good degree to make good money. It just hadn't occurred to him that that road was possible. Oliver couldn't see himself there.

and maybe Cristal thought good, no, better of him now than she had when they'd stopped talking to each other on pretty bad terms, but her one little opinion wouldn't change the opinions of everyone else he'd screwed. Figuratively and literally. It was a compliment, nothing more. Empty words. It wasn't that he didn't appreciate them, though. He did. In the back of his mind, deep down. Too far down for him to notice. And as for why he said all that, well ... he figured she deserved it. Irritating Chris by it was just a plus.

"so, are you waiting for someone? Or just finishing up?" she asked then, and he bit the inside of his cheek habitually.
" Just finishing up, I suppose. This would be where I'd leave if such a lovely woman wasn't staring at me from across the table right now. " He grinned a toothless smile, and was caught by surprise at the next thing that left her full, glossed lips. He'd always considered Chris much better than him. A little touchy, maybe, but he'd always seemed more responsible. More prone to cleaning up his own messes than leaving them in selfish spite for others to clean up. He wasn't as much of a weasel as Oliver was, or as much of a careless jerk. In fact, he was barely a jerk at all. Until it came to Oliver himself. But that was understandable. He could see how he might get on Chris's nerves. And yet his friend's own girlfriend sat a couple feet away, telling him that he might not be better at all.

it was a good thing when she changed the subject suddenly, because Oliver wasn't sure he would have known how to respond to that. Another smile, wider this time, at her request. " Oh yeah, it is, isn't it. " He'd known her birthday when they were dating for that brief time, and though he'd forgotten about it as soon as they'd broken up, he recalled the date now. " It would be my pleasure to supply you with necessary means to absolutely wreck everyone at your birthday party, " he responded lightly, and then added, " Shoot me a text later if you're serious; you still have my number? Probably not. Doesn't matter. I have yours. We'll discuss it then. " Of course he had to add that, dealing was his business. His job. The way he raked in the cash to pay for practically anything. He could never hold a job for too long because he ended up being too ' rude ' or too ' honest ' with the customers. Which still confused him. Either that or people'd find out he was a dealer and be offended. Or bang him. And then they'd get in trouble with significant others. Then off he was, jobless again.

he wasn't even sure why he tried anymore.

a passing waitress had nearly sashayed past the table when Oliver noticed and stopped her, smiling with selfish gratitude and taking on the of ice waters from the tray she balanced on the palm of her hand. He couldn't take another sip of his coffee, cold and all too bitter now that he was awake. Sipping some of it without a straw, his eyes flickered to Cristal, who looked as though she wasn't pleased with whoever she was texting or whatever she was texting about. Around an ice cube he was chewing, Oliver asked,
                                                            " Everything okay? "
