The fact that Shaant was willing to hang out with her on such short notice, well it was nice. She knew that she could hang out with her best friend and all the negative feelings would go away… even if he had the fame that she craved. She knew that eventually she’d have her break; she just didn’t know how long it would take to get to that point. That’s what bothered her beyond belief. Watching the television really didn’t do anything but pissed her off. Every time she watched a movie, she always thought that she could have done the lead lady role better than the actress that was chosen. When commercials came on, she always thought that she would have been better in those than the chosen actresses, etc. The show she landed on, she watched for all of thirty seconds before she started bitching about the lead casts. They both looked like noobs and shouldn’t have gotten either role. Clarissa knew she could have been a better Dolores than that one chick. Changing the channel, she felt better about herself. She knew that she could do better and the fact that she dissed someone better than her, well it was pathetic, yes, but at the same time, she knew it was the truth. When her phone went off, she quickly grabbed it up, not even considering that it was Hyori. That was the LAST person she wanted to hear from right now. Thankfully, it was JUST the person she wanted to hear from.
She read the text message from her long time friend and just smiled. She laughed a little when he said that a cop was watching him. Of course he would point out the cop. She loved Shaant, not in that sense, but even if he was a manwhore, it didn’t affect the way that she saw him. He didn’t try to sleep with her, so they were able to carry out a normal friendship. Not feeling the need to respond to this text message, she closed it out and then went back to the tv. She knew she really should stop flipping through the channels and just turn the damn thing off. It was going to be the end of her if she didn’t. After flipping through about forty more channels, she turned the boob tube off and tossed her remote onto the dining room table. She had no clue what she wanted to do before her class, aside from hang out with Shaant. She knew that he’d be there shortly, so she was quick about getting fully ready. She took a shower in the matter of about five minutes and then went back to her room and put on a pair of her skinny jeans with a top that looked good, or that she thought looked good, which was good enough for her. She quickly brushed her hair and then towel dried it. It was short enough so that it wouldn’t take long at all to dry. Maybe twenty minutes tops.
She was on her way to throw her towel in the bathroom when she heard a knock at her door and on the other side the person asked for coffee or a monster, or both. She laughed and eagerly threw her towel in the bathroom, not caring where it landed and went to the door. She unlocked it and opened it up and there was her best friend on the other side. She had one of the biggest smiles on her face and hugged him. It was nice to be in the presence of someone who A) Thought she mattered or B) Didn’t make her act like a complete dunce. When she let go of him, she backed up into her apartment ”Well I don’t think I have any Monster, but… wait… I didn’t make coffee either. I could always make a quick pot if you want” She told him. She didn’t want to be a bad host, regardless of how good of friends they were. Randomly her phone went off and she looked in the direction that it was coming from. She went over, dreading the text, having a strong feeling of who it was. Then when she picked it up and saw that it was Doc, she couldn’t help but to smile brightly. She wasn’t as close to Doc as she was Shaant, but she knew that she was liked by him because he had only a million different nicknames for her. She read over his text message giving a chuckle. Hitting reply, she went about sending him back a message
Doc! :D Things have been okay.
I don’t even know the x-games
were coming around! Hahaha
if you said my name over the
foudspeaker that would be quite
delightful. We need to catch up!
I’ve missed you!
She sent the text and then stuffed the pocket in her phone and sat on the couch. She looked to Shaant ”Did you have any plans today?” She asked him. She knew that he probably did after he left here, but maybe if he had plans before her class, she could always bother Doc, he’d want to hang out, right? As he went on telling her about the few things that he had to do, Clarissa started to think about possibly skipping her class. She had a very eventful night that didn’t particularly go the way that she wanted, so she didn’t really feel like dealing with people aside from the ones that mattered right now. No, she wasn’t asking for pity, just someone to keep her company for a little bit. What person didn’t want that? Regardless if they were wanting pity or not. She didn’t see anything wrong with it. She hated when people pitied her. Like when she lost the role that Hyori got, some people pitied her and she would just roll her eyes and leave them because she didn’t want their pity. Why would someone want pity? It was just a very stupid emotion that really wasn’t needed in the human emotions. As Shaant was ranting on about something, she thought about her skipping class again. The more she thought about it, the more she liked the idea. She could do something better in the mean time. She thought about food for a second because now she really was hungry, even if she had a toaster strudel.
”What time does lunch shift start? Is it time to be able to get food? I’m starving” She said to him. She didn’t care what food they had, she just knew that she wanted food. Shaant had seemed to really want coffee or something because he suggested going to get a coffee or something before they went out to get food. Clarissa really had no concept of what the time was at the moment, so she agreed to it ”I don’t see how it could hurt” She said with a shrug. She grabbed her coat and bag then walked out the door with Shaant, locking the door behind her. She followed him as he led the way to the car and hopped in when the door was unlocked. Yeah, Clarissa did have a car of her own, but if she was going to be hanging out with Shaant, and they were going to the same place, why would she drive her own car? When they started to go, Clarissa got the idea to invite Doc along ”I hope you don’t mind” She said and dug the phone out of her pocket ”I’m gonna invite Doc to have lunch with us. He texted me this morning” She told him. She opened a new message and promptly started on the invite to the comedian.
Hey, Shaant and I are gonna grab
a coffee and come bother you. Do
you want anything and where are you
at? You’re going to lunch with us. <3
My envy can't describe how I loathe you for having all the stars
Leaving my eyes to m a r v e l the sky knowing it should be m i n e
Yet it's you I see wasting the dream that only I deserve
