The Story

This summer at camp Ambrose, the owners of the place have decided to switch it up normally it a coed camp but this year they changed it to an all boy camp after, er... A few unwanted pregnancies were the result. So this year it should be different. It's just going to be boys, this means the campers and the councilors.
So what's the worse that could happen?

The Rules

First and this is one of a my biggest things! If you do not like what this topic is: GET OUT! I will not stand for homophobic people and I will not get into a religious debate with you over this so it's simple if you do not like this thread ignore it and go on with your business. ^^ Thank you!
Second rule is I want this to be a long term rp so if you do not post every three days I will send a pm if you do not post two days after the pm has been sent too bad out of luck your character will be deleted UNLESS you tell me in advance that you will be gone for a set amount of time. I know that we have lives outside of gaia, I have a job so I know you can't be on every day.
Third rule is I want you to pretty up your posts and at least have two paragraphs! If you have writer's block then one really good paragraph is good for me. Oh and when I say pretty, I mean quotes, pictures, colored texts NO BLINDING NEON COLORS!!!!
Fourth rule is no cybering on the threads and TOS of course! <3 Respect all other rpers and do not ignore posts, I understand that if you are gone for a bit you don't want to read all those posts that are there so I'll try to put up a post that tells you what has happened if it's not up there then pm me or a fellow rper ^^
Fifth rule is to reserve a character send me a pm with the subject: Boy and the role of the character an example would be: Boy camper 1 or boy councilors 2. When sending me the Profile pm me with the subject: Boy love. Also three days is how long you have for reserving! IF you do not I will be pm you and be like Um? Where's that profile and if you don't give it to me by the next day the reserve will be taken off! OH and real pictures! They will not be accepted if they aren't also all characters are human.

Half of Derek's body was hanging out of his old chevy truck which was not an unusual sight since his truck was always breaking on him. He was in his councilor uniform, well at least the the bottoms, and his aviator sunglasses. The rest of his body was covered in grease thanks to his stupid truck. He was also late for the first day of camp. He toyed with his truck a bit more before he got behind the wheel and turned the key. The truck sputtered to life and coughed as it caught. He got out of his truck and grabbed a towel. He wiped off the grease and oil before he put on his shirt. He headed inside and grabbed his bag. He said his goodbyes to his family except for his brother who wasn't even there to say good bye to him and left. He got into the cab of the truck and headed out to the campsite which was a good two hours away.

Farms fields and patches of woods was all of Derek's scenery. He stopped twice for gas and each time he was so worried that the truck wouldn't start again. Thankfully he was lucky and the truck didn't die on him. So for the rest of the trip, Derek listened to the radio which was the only thing that his truck could do, it couldn't play cds or tapes it was really a piece of crap but it was his piece of crap. He pulled up to the familiar sign of the camp and grinned. He was back to the place he called his summer home.

He pulled up into the councilor parking lot and turned off his truck. He patted the dash and smiled. This was going to be a good summer he swore it would be. He got out of the cab and headed to the flat bed. He pulled out his bags and headed to his cabin. The campers and the councilors were in different cabins but the campers were in a cabin with the other campers and the councilors were with the other councilors. This year it was going to be weird though, it was the first time they weren't coed. He wondered what it was going to be like. He blushed slightly at the thought of all the boys that would be here. Maybe he could move on finally...

He started to unpack his things and picked a bed. First come first serve. He smiled to himself. A whole summer without Riley this was going to be good for him.

A blond grumbled as he ran to his car, a yellow Mustang, and hopped into the vehicle. He was lacking a shirt, though that was fixed while starting the car, and he was soon pulling out of his driveway. Normally he would have said goodbye to someone, but Jake's parents were gone and his brother was probably already on his way to where Jacob was supposed to be right now. Growling under his breath, most of which were obscenities about his alarm clock, Jake was soon talking to himself on the road to the summer camp.

"Shiit. Shiit. I'm laaate." came the voice of Jacob Lacerda as he drove the road to the summer camp. "Hope no one is there to notice..." he mumbled, his yellow Mustang pushing the speed limit on the road. When he had seen that it wasn't a co-ed camp, which was a first from what he understood, he was hoping to see some guys and maybe get hooked up with someone. Then his parents dropped the bomb when they told him that his brother would be going to the same camp he was working for. Don't get Jake wrong, he loved his brother to death. But when none of his family knows he's gay and the twenty year old is to shy to admit it, there was a tiny problem in that situation. All he could do now was hope that Alex didn't catch him. He passed farms and fields, briefly noticing a rather beaten up truck ahead of him, and before the blond knew it he was at the camp. Noticing that the truck was actually still ahead of him, Jake could only think that it was another councilor. "Well at least I'm not the only one that's late." he said to himself, grinning as he got out of the car after parking next to the truck.

Getting out of the car, Jake simply scanned the new area before smiling softly. "Mm... nice place." he said lowly, before turning his head to the other male councilor there. Walking up the the taller male, who was actually much taller than he was, Jake grinned ever so slightly and stuck out a hand. "Uhh. Hi. I'm Jake Lacerda. I guess I'm the new councilor." he spoke, gesturing to the uniform that he had worn during the drive. "It's good to know that I'm no the only one that's late."

Derek who was still in the middle of unpacking turned when he heard a male's voice. He smiled when he saw that it was another councilor. He took in the male's face and memorized the face to the name, he didn't want to be an idiot and mix up the names of someone he was going to work with the entire summer. Getting off on the wrong foot could be major awkwardness for the next what? A little over two months? He took Jacob's hand and shook it. "Derek Harris. I'm an oldie." He smiled. "And yeah you aren't the only one late, hell I was the first one here it looks like." He released Jacob's hand and smiled gesturing to the beds. "Pick a bed. First come first serve." Because Derek had been here so many years, he had a bed that he chose every year and this year was no different. He chose the the second one that was farthest from the door. He looked over at the bed next to him and a slight frown developed on his face. Riley's bed was the one next to him.

He cleared his throat and pushed the thoughts away. This was a new summer one without Riley. He still wish he had listened to his whole story, but he understood why he hadn't. He smiled at Jacob even though his thoughts would not leave him alone no matter how hard he tried. "So if you need any help with anything. I'm here to help you." He grinned. "I can also tell you where the best places to go swimming are that are not on the maps." He smiled brightly at the boy who he seemed to tower. He looked back at his bags of stuff and sighed. He always hated to unpack.

He turned his attention back to the bag and started to unpack. When he opened a bag and saw sitting on top of his clothes a picture of him and Riley. He was hugging Riley from behind, he was trying to get something from his hands both of them had huge grins on their faces. He shook his head and closed the bag. "So Jacob why did you become a councilor this year?"

Riley was very excited for this summer. All he wanted was to just escape from everything that had happened in the recent few months. It had just been hell and really all he wanted was to be happy again. What better place then the summer camp that he loved. Not to mention the fact that it was all boys this year, a thing that was both strange and yet exciting. Maybe he'd even meet someone new. That would be nice. Anything to take his mind away from Derek. He stopped his thoughts there immediately, not even going there at all. Thinking of Derek always ended badly lately.

He had actually been the first councilor to arrive at the camp, his things already set up on a bed in the far corner. His car, a tiny dark blue thing, was parked in the parking lot. It had been a gift from his parents recently. He almost turned them down, not really believing that they would spend so much on him but they wouldn't let him. He had shown up much earlier this morning, he woken up early in anticipation of the summer. It was going to be a good one he just knew it.

He had spent the rest of the morning doing one of his favorite things, swimming. The lake was just how he remembered it. He loved the cool feel of his body cutting through the water. He really hoped he would be put in charge of swim classes for this year. It would be so great if he did. He looked up at the sun and judged that he should head back, the other councilors must be there by now and the campers would arrive shortly.

He dried himself off with a towel as he walked back towards the cabin. He took a back way and thus did not see the parking lot before he went in. Maybe if he had, an seen the familiar truck parked there, he would not have had such a shock.

At first when he walked in, the person he saw was the other councilor. He looked him over and grinned, he was more than a little cute. This really might be a good summer. His gaze then turned to the other councilor who was there and he froze. Derek. It was Derek. What in the world was he doing here? Riley felt his dreams of a decent summer go crashing down. All he had wanted was to get away from Derek for a summer. Now instead he was stuck with him almost 24/7.

"Just bloody great," he muttered to himself as he walked past the two over to his bed and grabbed his uniform, changing quickly. He didn't really turn to look at them. Not that he wanted to be rude to the other boy but if he did turn he was liable to yell at Derek and that wouldn't make a very good impression now would it?

So, it was the day he was going to go to this camp over the summer. His parents had decided that they were going to take a trip together. He guessed that was nice…They were both hard working people and deserved a trip…Though…he kind of wished he could go…Not that he’d want to spend a whole vacation with them. He loved his parents, he really did. His mother was an amazing model, and from everyone has told him, he’s just like her. And his father…was…just an amazing cook. And Alexis supposed there were times when he was like his father, but not many. His father was…strict, but not too strict. He was…like any other father, even if he was rich. He wasn’t at all like the typical rich fathers you read about. He paid attention to his children, and he spent time with them. Alexis was happy to say that they weren’t the stereotype rich family, because none of them really cared about money. They were all doing what they loved to do…they just happened to earn a lot of money doing so.

With a sigh, he loaded up the last of his bags in his car. He would wait for his brother, but he didn’t know what was up to, and he rather drive himself anyway. He loved his brother, he really did, but by being the youngest, he felt like he was being treated like a baby…He supposed it was to be expected, but just because he was 16, it didn’t mean that he couldn’t do things for himself…But whatever. He’d prove to them that he wasn’t a baby. Somehow. He didn’t know who, though. It was something he was going to have to figure out for himself. And he was sure that he could. But what could he do? No matter what, since he was the youngest, they would always think of him as the baby…

He got into his car and drove off toward the camp. He was kind of excited about going…He was going to have some time to hang out with his brother, and he was going to make new friends. Hopefully. He hoped that none of them would mind his choice of clothing. He couldn’t help it. He didn’t really feel all that comfortable in boy’s clothing…girl clothing…just looked nicer on him. He looked and felt good. That was what mattered, right? It should…His parents didn’t mind it and he didn’t think that Jake minded it. If he didn’t, he didn’t show any signs of it. And they didn’t care about his sexuality. His father is actually bisexual…But Alexis guessed that he liked girls more than guys…He knew of some of his father’s exes. They…stayed friends, and it was fine with his mother…Alexis mother knew his exes as well, so he guessed she didn’t mind them being friends.

At that thought, he smiled. It was nice…He’d like to be friends with his exes…but it never turned out that way. It always turned into this big breakup and he’d never want to talk to the guy again. And he hated that so much. But what else could he do about it? He shook his head a bit and got out of the car once he arrived at the camp.

Well, he was here…So, he got his bags and headed for his cabin. He quickly choose a bed and put his stuff away. He was really happy that he got first choice. He liked having a bed by the window. After he was done with all that, he decided to go out and explore around the camp, wanting to get bit familiar with it..

Scanning the other males face, Jake grinned as the older male shook his hand. "Nice to meet'cha, Derek." he spoke, pulling his hand back. 'Mm. Cute.' he thought, his grin getting a tiny bit wider. Looking over at the beds, Jake simply randomly picked one to throw his stuff under. Choosing the one across from Riley's, though he didn't know that, Jake sat down on the bed and looked up at the ceiling. Sighing lightly as he thought about his family, who could get a bit crazy at times in his honest opinion, Jake cracked his neck and got up to rummage through his bag. "Mm... must have left it out there..." he mumbled to himself, barely catching Derek talking to him. Turning his head to the only other male in the room, Jake nodding in appreciation.

"Thanks, Derek." he replied, returning the grin. "Nice. Don't swim often, considering I'm mostly working or at home, but I;ll have to take you up on that offer." Blushing somewhat as the male shot a smile at him, though Derek was looking away so it was unlikely that he saw, Jake turned back to his own luggage and started unpacking just as Derek did. Hearing his voice again Jake turned his head, and his attention, to the man. "Please, just call me Jake. Jacob sounds to..." he paused briefly, "I don't know, formal?" he shrugged before addressing the question. "Well, I was doing it so I could actually do something during the summer. My life's kinda boring." he grinned before looking at his bag and frowning lightly. "Bleh. Forgot some stuff." he mumbled before looking at the other councilor. "I'll be back. I must have forgotten some stuff in my car." he shrugged again. "I'm a mess today."

Of course, his entire train of thought was lost as another councilor walked in and past them. Following the male with his eyes, almost as if they were glued, Jake blinked a few times at the sight of him before grinning. 'Oh yeah. This year's gonna be good ~' he thought, before debating whether or not to approach the new male. 'Ugh... So tempting...'

Derek nodded and smiled. "Alright, Jake." He gave him a huge grin, maybe things will look up, meet someone new and become friends. He smiled to himself. Yeah maybe this summer wouldn't be a completely heartbroken centered. He smiled and laughed. "Hey don't knock a boring life." He joked. He nodded when the other male said that he forgot somethings in his car. He watched him when someone else caught his eye. Riley.

It didn't matter that Riley and him were no longer going out the moment he saw him all his feelings for him came flooding back. In truth, they never had left. A sad smile touched Derek's face, how much he wish Riley would look at him again with love, joy and bliss not angry, betray and heartache. He wanted to be able to take him into his arms again and kiss him silly telling him that he loved him, but no, the man he believed to be the one for him hated him with a passion. He hated that he stumbled into someone else's bed after a night of drinking. He hated himself for it.

His heart leapt though when Riley took the bed that was next to his, the bed that was Riley's. He knew it would probably be short lived that one of them would have to move their stuff. He looked at Riley and cleared his throat. He couldn't help but smile when he thought of the boy. He'd rather think of the good things they shared rather then the horrible words of that day. He bit lightly on his bottom lip. He felt like a child about to be yelled at by his parents or a teacher. "Riley, it's good to see you. You look well." He said stupidly. "Since you picked that bed first I can move to a different one if you want." He stood there silently and dumbly, as he held his breath waiting for Riley to respond to him in anyway, whether it be to jump him and confess the he still loved him to telling him that he was a pig and never wanted to see him again. All he wanted was him to say something to him, acknowledge him in someway.

Riley finished pulling on his shirt as he waited for someone to react. Not that he thought his presence was that big of a deal or anything but knowing Derek he would say something. He knew his ex well enough to know that. There was also the fact that he could feel the other guy's eyes on him too. It felt strange to him in a way, to have another guys attention, or rather to notice another guys attention. For two years the only person on his mind was Derek. It was still that way, even though he tried so hard to just forget about him.

He rolled his eyes at Derek's words, even though his back was still to him anyways. "Why should you move Derek? It's not like were kids," he said. There was two meanings in that statement. For the first they were not little kids and he wasn't going to make Derek move beds just because he didn't want to be near him or anything. And the second was a reminder that they weren't kids and that this was going to be nothing like the summer they had met here and fallen in love.

He then turned and smiled at the new guy. "Hi, I didn't introduce myself. I'm Riley. Do you want me to show you around or anything?" he asked the other councilor. He was trying to be nice and all, since he'd been here before. Not to mention the fact that he just wanted to get out of the cabin. He also thought it would be nice to get to know someone new, especially since it would be someone he'd be working with the whole summer.

Looking back and forth between the two other councilors, Jake could only feel a bit out of the loop as Derek started speaking. While he had assumed that there would be some people that knew eachother, he had never assumed they would be close enough that they could have fights that would make the two act like they were. Frowning a bit, as he didn't like the tension that Derek and Riley were giving off, Jake shifted lightly from foot to foot as the two spoke, for lack of a better word since Riley seemed to be doing anything possible to keep from looking at Derek. "Um..." he said quietly, sensing that this was what seemed to be a private moment. However, before he could even make to the door Riley was addressing him.

Shifting a bit uncomfortably again, more from the conversation that had just occurred rather than Riley speaking, Jake nodded and smiled pleasantly. "Nice to meet you Riley. I'm Jake." he spoke during a small pause before Riley started talking again. "Uh..." he glanced at Derek almost imperceptibly and then turned his gaze back to Riley. Somehow picking up on Riley's want to get out of the cabin, Jake simply nodded his head. "Sure, that'd be great." 'course, the fact that Riley was horribly attractive helped some with the decision.

One thing was for sure…he could tell that his heels would not be of any use here. Of course not. The word ‘camp’ was just a dead giveaway. But…he had hoped there would be some kind of parties, and he could wear them there. Being a model, it was all about fashion. Of course it would be. He had to look good. It wasn’t like the thought of himself as some…beautiful person. No, not at all. If other people say he’s beautiful, then what is he to say to that? He would usually deny it, but they would just on and on about it, and he’d have to just…give in? Yes, his looks are what gave him his job and what kept it, but looks weren’t everything. Looks weren’t what made you a good model. It was the way you act, the way you can hold a pose, just…acting natural. Acting like a stuck up b***h, like in many reality television shows, was not the way to go. He…tried to stay away from models like that. He didn’t want to be apart of anything they did, and they weren’t your real friend anyway.

With a sigh, he looked toward the parking lot. He saw that his brother had finally made it and set off to look for him. Hey, he was the only person he knew in this place! He hadn’t met any of the campers or the counselors yet. He’s never been to camp before, so he didn’t know how these things worked. All he knew about camps was of what he saw in movies and on television. And that was it. Some…seemed…not too pleasant, and others sounded like a place you’d want to be. So he was just going to see what kind of camp this would be…With it being full of boys, it couldn’t be THAT bad now could it? Especially because he was gay. It made it even better. He just hoped to find someone…summer love. Maybe even more than just summer love. After all…everyone needs someone to love, right?

He smiled at that thought and saw the counselor’s cabin, or what he thought to be the counselor’s cabin. So, he went right over to it and found his brother inside. “Jaaaakkkeeeey, you’re way late!” he said to him. “You know I left so much earlier than you." He then gave his brother a pout. “You didn’t even find me to make sure I was alright, you meanie.” And then he looked at the other two that were in the cabin with Jake. “Oh! Hi! I’m Alexis! Jake’s brother,” he said, introducing himself. Now, these counselors were really attractive…but they were probably way older than him. Oh, who cared about age? His best friend, Gabriel, was dating someone three years older than him…He was pretty sure they were going to be together forever. Alexis was SO jealous of his friend.
