Jaz looked up when she heard her name called from beside her. She smiled seeing it was Emily. Emily was the only person who new everything about Jaz. She was the only girl Jaz let read her diary's, spend weaks after weaks at her house, sneak out of the house with at night. Jaz and Emily were like sisters. She shrugged a little and handed her the diary, flipped to the latest page.
"I'm still sort of confused I guess, and dad well, I just wish this week could be over, and its barely begun!" She added a playful pouty face before smiling a little, "How about you?"

I guess this pain is never ending.

Emily smiled at her and took her diary. "Oh you and your boyfriend aren't doing so well? Funny thing is same with me I feel like there's a wall between the both of us..." She said but still smiling she didn't want it to ruin her good mood. "I haven't writen in my diary in ages I should start again." Emily said out loud to herself. She start her school bag on the ground and crossed her legs under her desk. When she was done reading Jaz's diary she handed it back to her still with a smile on her face.

Jaz blinked, surprised to hear that. She was almost positive her and her boyfriend were doing amazing together. They played it off as if they did!
"Well, at least I'm not alone," she declared softly and stood out of her desk to give Emily a hug. Just as she did so, the bell rang and Jaz smiled a little. Was time to do the boring.
School work.

She fell back in her seat and got comfy, waiting for the teacher to start discussing the week and what special events were going to happen.

I guess this pain is never ending.

Emily smiled at Jaz and winked. "I'll always be there for you Jaz. Your one of a kind just like me! She said the last part a little to loud that the teacher put up her finger to warn her, Emily she rolled her eyes and giggled under her breath. Emily loved making her teachers give her warning she thought it was super duper funny and it just made her already good mood into a great mood.

Alice woke to her brothers fighting, again. She got up and took a shower then walked to Randy's room, where they were. "Hey, guys. There's this little thing, it's called shuting up, ever heard of it?" She said. John and Randy looked at her. "Hey, there's this little thing, it's called get out of my room pipsqueak, ever heard of it?" Randy said. Alice walked over to him. She didn't like being called pipsqueak. "Hey, there's this little thing it's called don't ever call me pipsqueak again or i'll throw u out that window, ever heard of it?" she said, almost slapping him but John held her back. "Okay, let's go. Like now." John said, pulling her out of the room. "Time for school. Go. Now." He said as he handed her the keys to her car and practiacaly shoved her out the door. "Bye then..." She said as she got into the car and drove to school.

Alice pulled into the parking lot and got out of the car. she walked into the school and to her locker, grabbing her books and heading off to her class. She spotted Amy on her way, so she stopped. "Hey."

Amy heard a voice and turned to see her friend Alice Florence. She smiled. "Hey Alice. What's up?" she asked. She shut her locker and slung her bag on her right shoulder.

Alice shrugged. "Nothing much, just the norm. Brothers fighting woke me up again. What about you?" She asked. She looked at her outfit and then back up at Amy. "Hows your life?" She asked.

Amy shrugged. "Eh, house empty except for me. Left my English book. The usual." she said. She put her free hand in her pocket.

ALICE HEARTLOCK



Alice groaned and rolled over, pulling the covers over her head. She hated mornings. Especially when her alarm clock wouldn't shut up. She sneaked a glance at her clock and shot up in her bed. She ran to the bathroom cursing, running a brush through he hair. No time for a shower this morning. Good thing she took two a day, for times like this. She quickly brushed her teeth and swiped on some eye liner and lip gloss. Her cheeks had a natural rosy complexion so blush was never needed. She ran back to her room and slipped on her favorite pair of black skinny jeans, threw on her white halter top, and checked her reflection in the mirror. "Not a flaw," she said blowing a kiss to herself.

She half ran, half tripped down the stairs. Her dad was sitting at the table on his laptop. He didn't even glance at her when he said good morning. Typical. She grabbed the uneaten bagel off his plate and picked her black converse sneakers up off the chair. As she flew out the door she slipped on the sneakers and jumped into her Matte Black Lexus LFA, starting the engine.

She searched the parking lot for a place to park and spotted Ryan's car. She pulled to a stop next to it and got out. She looked at it, thinking of him. She was hoping to have some sort of butterflies in her stomach but nothing came. She sighed and walked up the steps to the school. She dodged past the hall monitor and entered homeroom. Thankfully she slipped into her seat next to Em and Jaz unnoticed by the teacher. She was just in time for the morning announcements and gave each of them a quick smile. They both looked like they usually did when she was late. Like she had missed something. She'll never be as close as those two were. She sunk lower in her seat and listened as the teacher started to drone.

Jaz listened to the teacher talk and sighed softly. She spoke of an assembly on the Thursday of this week, and a school dance on Wensday. Jasmine perked up at the sound of the dance and waited for the newsletter to be past around about it. The paper was a light pink with black writing. She silently searched over it, reading through the pages.
Dress up as your favorite Disney character, but make sure to wear a mask! We know some of you have your reputation to keep in check. Jasmine giggled at the sarcasm. She found it a little amusing how in every newsletter they made a hinting insult at the preps that the preps themselves thought was a complement and caring. Then, looked at Emily and mouthed.
'Are you going to this?'
She also smiled a little to Alice when she walked in. A little disappointed that she was late again, but she was more interested in the dance.

As the teacher talked someone was passing out a flyer. Alice took it and groaned softly. She loved to dance, it was just the theme that didn't make her too happy. "Dress up as your favorite Disney character, but make sure to wear a mask! We know some of you have your reputation to keep in check," was typed on it. Her favorite Disney character wasn't one most people would choose. She didn't want to be made fun of for this. She thought about not going, but then decided against it. Jaz looked too excited over it. She couldn't bail this time. She leaned over, "Who are you thinking about going as?" She asked Jaz with faux curiosity. She already had a pretty good idea.
