Elsie sat down on one of the couches, crossing her knees like a good lady would. Hatter, on the other hand, was too anxious. He walked around the coffee table, tempted to wet his whistle with some liquid courage. There was a flask in his gray jacket; so it wasn’t like he wasn’t prepared. ”We should go out tonight. We passed through a town with a club while you were asleep. Elsie looked at him and shook his head. He was always in the mood to party. Hey, in my defence I might not be the only one who likes party. He walked over to her and sat down next to her, looking at her with the best puppy-dog face he could produce. Elsie giggled and agreed.

The first person to arrive after them was Lucy, and holy crow was she a smoking hot babe. If Hatter were to put her on his scale; she’d easily be a nine. She’d be a ten if she was as good in bed as she was in looks. Then she spoke, obviously her voice had changed, but it still had the thick Russian accent. She introduced herself, really? Did she need too? The servants here all wore uniforms and frankly there were pictures of the young group everywhere in the room. At the moment, Hatter could see a picture of himself and Aaron in their underwear with their shorts on their heads. He laughed quietly to himself, then watching Elle get up.

You don’t recognize us Lucy? Well, maybe it’s because Hatter has fashion sense. She giggled, ”Well, Lucy dear, I’m Elle or Elsie. I went by Elsie when I was younger? Right Hatter? Elle turned around with a quizzical look on her face. Hatter nodded and watched as his best friend turned around again. ”I’m the Princess of Malleus, and this is the young Crown Prince of Coronal; Cameron. But he goes by Hatter now. She smiled, not sure she was supposed to hug Lucy, if she couldn’t remember Elle and Hatter, maybe it was a better idea to leave the hug for later.

Then, another girl walked into the room. Hatter analysed her, her brown hair wavy, her eyes were gorgeous, and frankly; she was gorgeous. It took him a moment to realize who it was Cecily. Holy crap, did all the princesses get hotter over time? Well, he guessed so and continued to analyze her until Elsie’s foot kicked him lightly in the shin. Ohmygosh Cecily! She smiled. If anyone was her childhood best friend it would have been Cecily, although they were all friends the eldest princess usually did activities if Cecily did. She ran over and gave a hug, motioning that Lucy should join too.

Yeah, Cecily, we’ve all changed. Well, Elle is still a hyperactive dork. I’m joking Elsie. How has everyone been over the past... well decade?” Elle broke up the hug and walked back to Hatter. And, by the way, I go by Hatter now.”

Prince Sweet, or Derrick turned as he laid in bed. He didn't like mornings, and his mother was trying to wake him up again apparently. "Prince, please wake up. Your mother wants you to." Said a sweet high voice. It was maid Samantha. She had a baby, and the father was gone. He had a soft spot for her. He slowly sat up, and spoke to her "Thank you Samantha." He said grinning to her. The maid bowed to him, then left. He ran his fingers through his hair, then jumped out of bed. He went over to his bathroom, and turned the shower on. He got undressed and went inside.

After Derrick took his shower, he dried off then went to his closet. He got changed into a pair of clothes, then walked to his bathroom again. He dried off his hair some more, and then brushed his teeth. He combed out his hair, then grabbed his two luggage cases. They were mainly filled with necessities like cloths. Derrick jumped as his mother yelled out of nowhere."Derrick!!! Hurry up! You need to start heading to the mansion!" Yelled his mother. He came rushing downstairs with his luggage cases. His step dad with an arm around his mother's shoulder, and his mother grinning but ready to cry. "Aw, my boy is getting married." His mother stated coming to Derrick with a hug. His step father behind giving him a hug too.

"Its fine mother dear, and father dear. Besides, you applied to it. Its not so much my choice." Said Derrick grinning at them for his mother's reassurance. The limousine honked outside. Derrick looked at the limo then at his parents, and smiled at them. "Looks like I gotta go." Said Derrick, then gave them once last hug, and apparently the staff too. Now Derrick felt a little crowded but laughed it off. He waved goodbye to them from the seat inside the limo. He closed the window, then the limo drove off. Derrick took a nap in the back.

Derrick woke up to a stopped limo. He always woke up when they were supposed to be where they needed or just because. He rubbed his eyes to see again. The limo driver had already gotten out Derrick's bags. He paid the driver. The driver tipped his hat at Derrick, went inside the limo, and then drove off. Derrick turned on his heels, to face the mansion. It was about the same size has his home. He walked up the paved walking path to the mansion.

He went inside the mansion then started to look for his room. He couldn't remember the fact he hasn't been here for about 12 years. He asked one of the staff. One of the maids ran up to him and said "Aw, little Derrick! So grown up!" She said then ran off after a butler glared at her. She was about in her mid-thirty's. Derrick just shrugged it off. The staff member had shown him where his room is, then he thanked the member. He went inside, and started to unpack.

After he finally finished, he left the room, and went downstairs. He came to noticed that a blonde, a brunette male, and a brunette female were chatting. He assumed it was everyone he used to live with. He came down to them, and grinned. He wanted to guess there name. He pointed at the brunette guy "James?" Asked Derrick, then pointed at the Elise "Elise?" He asked then pointed at Cecily "I'm pretty positive your Cecily." He stated then let his hand fall to his side. He smiled at them. It was his old friends, but he was pretty sure he got one name wrong.

xxx CECILY DEANNA PANDOTHIEL xxx
PRINCESS OF REGNUMCCXXXXXXCC

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Of course they'd changed... why wouldn't they? Cecily knew very well that she'd changed in the last decade, the most obvious being that her looks had changed, and she'd gained an accent foreign to her kingdom. But change was good, if things always stayed the same, the world would grow quite boring, and this princess would have none of that. With that thought, the twenty one year old glanced over her old friends, a soft smile forming in her features. She'd kept up with their lives, because her parents always told her about what they were all doing, but being in the same place as them brought back memories. There were so many things she'd forgotten, and she was glad to remember them, because these were the people she'd grown up with... people she'd cherished in childhood.

After hugging Elle, Cecily chuckled, the girls had been the best of friends as children. It seemed the blonde and brunette were always together, and as a kid that had been important. After that she kissed Hatter on the cheek, as she would any prince, "My parents told me you went by Hatter these days. Alice and Wonderland performance, right?" She smiled, that British accent lacing it's way gracefully through her words. "As for being hyperactive... well, I should hope you're still at least a little bit of a hyperactive dork, Elle. You wouldn't be you if you weren't~" The princess said, glancing at her old friend. As good as change could be... there were some things she'd prefer stay the same. Her friends personality, for one thing. "Oh, and, hello Lucy."

Of course everyone's physical appearance had changed, which she'd expected. It seemed Hatter's brown eyes had changed as well... they once held a childlike innocence that was gone. But then, that innocence had left all of their eyes, they weren't kids anymore. But glancing around at some of the pictures, she almost wished they were. She could see a picture of herself, apparently tackling Aaron, who was holding a cookie... a very large cookie. A young Cecily looked enraged... it had probably been her cookie. But then there was a picture of all of the girls, wearing their tiaras, Cecily's had changed since then, and she only wore it when she was home, and in front of people. They all looked so happy, like they didn't have a care in the world, and really, they didn't. Sure, as kids they'd still been the princes and princesses they were now... but things hadn't been complicated when they'd lived here. It was when they left, and returned home, that they were really hit with what would be their lives. But hey, no one could be a kid forever, especially when they were supposed to be taking over their own country one day.

Ah but then Cecily thought about something different... the last decade of her life. Gymnastics, competitive swimming... music, oh the music. She'd always loved her violin, but in college she'd found a new love for it. She'd found a love for theatre, and with it, a new place for her music. She'd written a play as her final exam for her musical theatre class, and with it all of the music. She'd seen it on stage only once before she left for home... but she'd been told the actors loved being in it, and the audiences loved seeing it. This made the young princess quite happy. "The last decade... it's been a lot of music, and a lot of fun." Cecily laughed, before she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket. It was Aaron, and he was going to be late. "Aaron says he's just leaving London now... so it could be a while before we see him, his parents might arrange something so he gets here sooner. He's telling me to say hello to all of you... and something about how carrots used to be purple, not orange." While reading this, the princess raised an eyebrow, sometimes she couldn't understand that boy... "Why we needed to know that, I'm not sure. He might be drunk texting."

With that Derrick entered, "I'm pretty positive you're right." Cecily chuckled when he spoke to her. Oh how they'd all changed... it was almost heartbreaking, while also exciting and fun.

A black limo was racing down the street, the flags attached to it whipping furiously in the wind it created. In the back of this limo two people sat in relative silence. The girl, Arabelle Dazi, had her legs crossed at the knees and was playing with the skirt of her purple satin dress. Her brown eyes were trained at a spot on the floor, her face blank. She was trying so hard not to let her nervousness show on her face. Even if no one would see her freak out except her brother beside her, Arabelle did not want that to happen. Not now. She was on her way to see her old friends; the ones she had lived with as a child for so long. Her heart was pounding and her mind racing with questions. How much had they all changed? she wondered. Would it be anything like it was before, after all this time? The obvious answer was no, but that just made her worry more.

Then there was the reason they were all being brought together again. Arabelle was to marry one of the Princes, but which one she didn't know just yet. Just the thought of being forced into marriage terrified the brunette. At twenty-one years old, her parents expected her to marry someone she hardly even knew anymore?! It was preposterous. She'd had plans to stay in America and pursue dance for a few more years, until she was forcefully dragged back home only to be sent to the old mansion. She was expected to settle down and help rule a country, when all she wanted was to continue travelling, seeing the world and going on this grand adventure that was the thing of fiction. All of her plans for at least the next decade were slowly going down the drain the closer they got to the mansion.

"All right there, Ara?" the girl's brother asked, waving his hand in front of her face. James had his eyebrows raised in a questioning look at his sister. Arabelle looked up and forced a smile in response. "Fine, fine," she replied airily. They were getting close to the mansion now, and so she assumed the body posture and facial expression of the "proper princess" image she always conveyed in public. When they arrived, the flash of cameras greeted the siblings. Paparazzi had obviously shown up at some point, and Arabelle immediately wondered how many of the others had run into them. She kept her head bowed as they entered, until finally the door was closed to the gossip-mongers. A maid greeted them enthusiastically as a butler stepped outside to grab their bags from the limo, and the two were shown to where everyone was currently sitting, catching up. Looks like they had been last to arrive.

Before entering the room, Arabelle quickly adjusted her dress, made sure the low side-bun her hair was in was not falling, and fixed the bow in her hair. "Hola mis amigos!" she greeted them all, grinning widely as she stepped inside. James followed her, waving. "It's good to be back again, no?" Her voice still had the Spanish accent she'd always grown up with, something that was impossible to avoid having been born in a country so close to and influenced by Spain.

James felt uncomfortable during the ride in the limo. His sister was quiet, staring off into space, which was quite unlike her. He sat lounging back in his seat, observing her for a while. She thought she was hiding what was running through her mind, but he knew her better than that. He could read the nervousness in the way her hands twitched, tugging at her dress (that he, frankly, thought was a bit short for his younger sister) and even messing with her hair every now and then. A sigh escaped him and he redirected his attention to the passing streets. It was almost identical to what he remembered from his childhood years, and he couldn't help but let a grin slide across his face. He was excited to reconnect with his old friends and hear about what adventures they'd had over the past decade.

And though he disliked the idea of being forced to marry, he was more ready to embrace it than Arabelle. He'd had fun, and he'd like to have more fun, but he realized it was time to start getting prepared. Bernicia needed a good ruler to continue on his parents' legacy, and so he was going to do his best to just roll with the situation. It was something he'd always been good at, and it was because of that that he wasn't silently spazzing. Speaking of.... He waved a hand in his sister's face to get her attention. "All right there, Ara?" he asked, using the nickname she'd had when they were kids. He hadn't used it in a while; at 13 she started insisting she was called by her full name. He waited for her to react to this nickname, but she merely brushed him off as if she wasn't paying attention. Which she likely wasn't.

It wasn't much longer before they'd reached the mansion and were hurried inside under the flashes of paparazzi cameras. He tipped his hat to the maid and butler who went off to get their bags, and proceeded to the "meeting room," as he was now going to call it. James waited for half a second for his sister to fix herself, and entered in behind her. She entered with her full confidence, while James took in the people in the room. A pretty blonde caught his eye first; "Elsie!" she exclaimed, crossing over to Elle and bowing gracefully to kiss her hand lightly. Another blonde stood not far off, and James repeated this action after crossing to her and saying, "Lucy!" just as enthusiastically. He glanced around a bit before his eyes fell on a very pretty brunette girl. He grinned, shouted "Cecily!" once more repeating the action of bending down to kiss her hand. As he straightened up again, he shot her a wink and turned back to the room at large.

"So, how have you all been?" His accent was not as pronounced as his sister's, and he spoke as if they'd all just seen each other yesterday. His grin did not once falter.

Elsie smiled and nodded when Derrick said her name correctly; it was surprising to see him. He had grown up so much since the last time she saw him. She looked at him, he seemed much more relaxed than the rest of them, Elle was almost jealous. He was in jeans, although almost everyone was, a flannel shirt and a beanie. He looked almost too good and Elle didn’t want to seem rude by staring, so she simply moved next to him. Sorry dude, I’m Cameron, although I go by Hatter now... How many times was Hatter going to have to repeat it. Although he was happy to have another guy in the room, it was still a little irritating that Derrick got his name wrong. ”And tell Aaron I say hi back! Even if the boy is drunk already. I would be too if Elle would let me... Elsie stop giving me that look, I was joking.”

”Don’t worry Cecily, I’m still a dork. Living with Hatter hasn’t stopped me from that. And you continued your music studies? That’s fantastic!” It was at that moment that Arabelle walked in, she was dressed so elegantly that Elle felt a little underdressed. Then James walked into the room, he seemed to be a bit more enthusiastic dispite the fact that soon would be getting married to one another. Elsie moved her attention to Hatter, he stared at Arabelle with a look that Elle couldn’t put a finger on. There was certainly lust in his eyes, but Hatter lusted over most things with two legs, but adoration? She shook it off and smiled when James kissed her hand.

Cameron had an odd feeling when Arabelle walked in the room, god she looked gorgeous. Maybe it was the fact that she was dressed so elegantly to the others that she seemed to outshine everyone, but he didn’t know. Suddenly Hatter found himself begging to be paired up with her, not that he wouldn’t mind Lucy or Cecily. Hey, guys. Maybe later tonight we can go out to the bar in town. We can take the back entrance, and it’ll be a great way to get to know our future spouses.” It would also give him some time to flirt with Arabelle.

Elsie turned her attention back to Derrick. ”How have you been Derrick? She asked, hoping that he’d talk more about what had been going on in the past decade as opposed to asking her. She moved some of her blonde bangs from her face, a nervous tick she had from when she was a child. She then also adjusted her glasses. Why was she so nervous? Maybe because she hadn’t seen any of them since she turned twelve.

Derrick noticed Arabelle and James come over. He knew definately which one was James, and by Arabelle's accent he knew it was her. "Why hello James, and Arabelle." He said to them. Derrick smiled at them, and couldn't help it. They've all changed over the years. He looked over at his future wife Elise. He thought she looked more beautiful and mature. He remembered when she used to move her bangs when nervous. He nodded at Cecily. "Well, at least I got your and Elise's name right. Hatter? I'm guessing your as wildly crazy as much as you were back then?" He said, saying back then referring when they were ten. He smiled a little more as Elise moved closer to him, although he caught her staring a bit before she shifted. He didn't mind to much. Derrick nodded and then replied to Elise "I've been good. Nothing bad." He said honestly. He glanced around. It was his old friends. He down to Elise, then back at the group. "How has everyone been?" He said smiling.

xxx CECILY DEANNA PANDOTHIEL xxx
PRINCESS OF REGNUMCCXXXXXXCC

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Cecily kissed James' cheek when he came in, and gave Arabelle a very warm smile, before she glanced at her phone once more. It was about time for her father to be calling her with the rest of their lives in his hand... "I'd love to stay and chat... but my father shall be calling me shortly, and so I need to go change. Facetime, it's such a wonderful thing, no? In any case, I'll be back in a tick... with the rest of our lives in my palm." With that the princess gave a quick wave, walking both briskly and gracefully up the stairs to her old room. Her father would expect her to see her dressed as any true princess would be. He was very old fashioned that way, except that he knew how to use technology very well, so he preferred to call her over Facetime. It tended to frustrate the young woman, but at the same time, she didn't know how many times she'd be able to see her father's face, so she cherished the short calls.

Once she found herself up in her old room, Cecily walked over to her closet, and sighed. She extracted a long blue dress and slipped into it, before walking over to her bed. Resting on it was a very extravagant golden box, inside it was her circlet... she almost wished she didn't have to wear it. It meant so much to her country, and it felt heavy upon her head, it signified responsibilities that no twenty one year old would want. She also slipped out of the shoes she'd been wearing since yesterday, in favor of a pair of heels her mother got her when she turned twenty. It was strange, how willing Cecily was to completely change, to make her father happy. She'd never been particularly close to either of her parents as a child, but somehow it seemed like she had to be the perfect daughter, for her father's sake. On the other hand, she knew very well that who she was, and always had been, still resided deep inside her heart. The brunette knew this because when she looked at her violin case, which had once again taken up residence on her window seat, a sense of complete calm washed over her. It caused the princess to smile, if only a little, until there was a familiar ring of a phone. Glancing over at her bed, Cecily picked it up gingerly and answered.

It was only a few minutes later that Cecily descended the stairs once more, her eyes a little red, evidence that she'd teared up a bit. Most likely when she'd said goodbye to her father, who's voice was so soft and cracked... she had a hard time looking at his face, even over the little screen. Once she found the others, the princess put on one of her famous smiles, it was soft and knowing... almost maternal, while continuing to be youthful and calm... if not a little sorrowful. Cecily was always known for being incredibly strong, always being the one to pick up the pieces of her friends when they were broken... hell, when Aaron and his first boyfriend had broken up, he'd slept in her bed, with her, for days and spent the days crying into his shoulder while she stroked his head. Yeah, she was that girl, that one that might be young, but always seemed to know what to say, and no one ever saw her cry, no one every saw her break down. She might have been a little too strong for her own good. But it took someone who knew her incredibly well to know that. It took someone who knew her better to be able to tell when she was hurting, and there were very few of those people around. "I hate to rain on the parade, loves... but, I have the list."

Of course, it was good to get this over with. Good to get it out, Cecily would call Aaron later, or ambush him when he got in late that night... or early the next morning, whenever really. Then everyone could get back to socializing, and Cecily herself could go hide in her room, and play her violin. She'd let everyone know, of course, that if her door was open or unlocked, anyone could come up. It had been that way when they were children too, even as little kids she was always there to listen to her friends complain about each other, or whatever. "I believe a few of us already knew what this list contained... but here it is, in full: Hatter, you and Arabelle are together. Aaron is with Lucy... oh dear, Lucy love, I should tell you Aaron much prefers men over women, he's quite open about that. Um, James, you're with me. Derrick, you and Elle are to be paired." Her voice was almost a little mechanical as she read the list off a text from her phone. She felt very out of place, wearing a dress and that bloody tiara! But before she could say anything else she turned on a heel and went back up the stairs, only turning for a moment to say: "My door is always open, loves." With that she was gone, no explanation... she just felt very strange, and wasn't quite sure what to do with herself.

As Arabelle glanced around, she noticed how pretty much everyone was in jeans. A light blush crept over her cheeks; she felt severely overdressed compared to everyone else. However, she had to remind herself, that it was more her mother's doing than anything else. The woman had insisted that she arrive at the mansion in style, and therefore she had dressed up. Though as her eyes fell on Cameron - Hatter, she reminded herself - she couldn't say it was all for nothing. Though she wasn't the attention hog James was, she did enjoy it slightly when a guy stared at her, as Hatter was going now. When he suggested they go out, Arabelle nodded enthusiastically. "Fantastic idea! It'll be fun," she agreed. But James interrupted, stepping between her and Hatter. "Yeah, it should be great. We can all go." He gave a pointed look at Ara, and she rolled her eyes in response. "You are such a brother," she sighed. He was more wild out of the two of them, but he had a habit of turning into the "over-protective brother" whenever his sister was around.

Their bickering was interrupted by Derrick, who asked how everyone had been. Arabelle pushed her brother out of the way, so she could see the boy when she spoke to him. "It's been interesting," she replied. "Spent a lot of time at home with tutors, a couple years in Spain, then studied dance for a while in America. I only came back a few weeks ago, when I heard we'd all be moving back to the mansion." Speaking of.... At that moment, Cecily announced that she was about to find out all of their futures, and disappeared up the stairs. A silence seemed to follow her departure, and Arabelle immediately felt like all the air had been sucked out of the room. She adverted her gaze to her shoes, taking a few steadying breaths. Everything would be fine. It had to be. Derrick would make a suitable husband, if they were paired together. As would Aaron - if he ever showed up, that is. Though she found herself hoping it was Hatter over the rest of them.

Arabelle wasn't ready to settle down and become the "perfect" wife. She wasn't ready to help run a country. And if memory served correctly, as well as her judgement of current character, Hatter wasn't ready for all of that either. At least with him, perhaps she'd still have a chance to run around as she wanted, like she'd been doing in America.

It was all becoming too much. Her head was pounding, and if there was any conversation going on she couldn't hear it. Instead, she took a seat in one of the chairs, hoping her new headache would go away soon. Before long, Cecily returned. Arabelle looked up, listening intently. Right off the bat, she was put with Hatter. Well, at least there was a little less to worry about. Lucy and Aaron were paired, as were James and Cecily. That left Derrick and Elle. Then, just as quickly as she had returned, Cecily disappeared again. A frown crossed Ara's face, and without a word she stood and followed the other girl. "Cecily?" she called when she reached her door, hesitantly stepping inside. "Is everything ok?"

xxx CECILY DEANNA PANDOTHIEL xxx
PRINCESS OF REGNUMCCXXXXXXCC

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

In the seconds she'd been in her room, Cecily threw that blasted tiara on her bed, took her shoes off and flung them out of her window, and took up residence on her window seat. Aside from the shoes that had found a new home on the grounds, she seemed relatively calm, with her violin case sitting open before her, and a hand gingerly stroking it. As a child she'd spent a lot of time playing her violin, it was almost as though she had mini-concerts in her room, weekly... but she'd spent an equal amount of time simply staring at it. As she'd grown she'd expressed herself through her music, but never played the way she had when she was a child. Life had grown far too complex to be able to just play. But she was still an amazing violinist, just not as whimsical as she'd been oh so long ago. It was hard to believe someone could grow up so much, become so responsible... but Cecily had to. This marriage wasn't just about her parents ensuring that Regnum would remain independent. It was about so much more... and she accepted that.

"My father is dying." Were the only words to come from the princess when Arabelle stepped into her room. Technically, the princess wasn't supposed to tell anyone that, the world was supposed to believe all was well in the royal family, after all that's what they'd been telling everyone for years. For some reason, however, Cecily found that she didn't care. Her father was dying, and it shouldn't have been a big secret. It was why the princess was doing this now, and why she was going along with it. Her country needed a queen, and she couldn't be one until she was married... sure, she could have argued with Parliament about this, created a law stating that a prince, or princess, could take the throne without having to be married. But that would take time, time she didn't really have much of. Even with all of this, though, Cecily could be a good sport... she could smile, and laugh, joke around, and she'd be damned if she moped about any longer! This was not who she was, she didn't do the sad mopey thing, she helped everyone through their mopey sadness!

"Ah, but I'm fine. Great, happy, perfectly well~ I just felt quite out of place down there." The brunette princess smiled, her tone growing calmer, and more peaceful by the second. She even laughed a bit... Cecily was already annoyed at herself for disappearing so quickly, but being in her old room helped. It reminded her of a time she would run around this mansion, playing hide and seek, only to fall into the pool and emerge laughing when the butlers freaked out about how she could have drowned.

"Anyway, go on back down. Really, I'm fine. Get to know everyone... again. Hatter seemed quite interested by you. I'll be up here with my violin... trying to avoid throwing anything else from the window." Cecily laughed once more, just seeming fine. Very mellow, the way she always came off. Besides, she had to call Aaron and try to figure out how drunk he was... and why he'd missed his flight out of London. He was supposed to leave yesterday, so he could at least see his parents for an hour or two, and he hadn't. He was probably too smashed to make it to the hangar, but she was going to try and get him into a helicopter so he could at least make it to the mansion by dusk...

Elsie watched as Cecily ran upstairs to where her room was to call her father. She suddenly got more nervous, playing with the hem of her dress, it wasn’t like she was marrying a stranger, but what if she wasn’t what her husband expected of her. She was still a bit childish, and to be frank, needed to work on the being an adult thing. She looked at Hatter, who was now making his way back to Arabelle and James. So, those three were going out, plus herself. That would be four, if Aaron would go that would make five, and soon she assumed the group would go out. Although Elle wouldn’t drink all that much, she hated alcohol. She watched silently as she heard Cecily run back down stairs, she looked magnificent all dressed all. As all princesses should be, beautiful, punctual, and a perfect representation of what their royal attributes were. She listened attentively as she listed off the couples, smiling when she heard that Hatter would be with Arabelle, and that she was with Derrick. She then watched as Cecily ran up stairs, not sure whether she wanted to follow or not. Elle decided to stay downstairs, not because she didn’t want to support her friends, but because she wanted to talk more with her current fiancé.

Hatter wanted to jump for joy when he heard that he was now going to be marrying Arabelle, although James had just prevented him some alone time with her. He then watched as Arabelle ran upstairs, following Cecily. He was a little upset, seeing that he couldn’t spend time with her, but decided to do the next best thing. “Want to get a beer and talk about the past decade while our future wives talk upstairs bro? He asked, feeling silly that he had even called his future brother-in-law a ‘bro’. He looked at Elsie to see her body reaction towards the news, but she didn’t seem to be having a panic attack, so his attention floated back to James.

”Hey, do you want to maybe go in the garden to talk? It feels a little crowded in here.”

Derrick watch everybody chat for a bit, and was a bit worried about Cecily. She seemed nervous, but he saw Arabelle go after her. So now he knew she'd have someone to tell. Elise spoke to him, and he turned his attention to her. He nodded happily. "Sure, I would love to dear." He said to her kindly. He held out his hand for her to take. He walked next to her staring at the beautiful plants and flowers. The air was sweet with the mixes of the smell of flowers. It was a cute scene.

James noted how Hatter had been checking out his sister as soon as they walked in the door, and it didn't exactly make him comfortable. As they talked, he could see Ara drifting slightly closer to him, with a grin on her face. She jumped a little too quickly about going out tonight for his liking, so he stepped right in between them to break it up as quickly as he could. "Yeah, it should be great," he interjected, probably dragging out the last word a bit more than he should have. "We can all go." He pointed this comment as his sister; there was no way in hell he was going to let her go drink, even a little bit, without him, no matter who else happened to be there. And with the way Hatter was looking at her, it was probably all for the best.

But then Derrick distracted Ara, and James felt the smallest bit relieved. It wasn't that he disliked or distrusted Hatter - ok, well maybe he distrusted him a bit. But it was his job to take care of his sister, and if she felt he was too overprotective she could get over it. His attention was also distracted as Cecily announced that her father would be calling, and he watched her go upstairs. To be perfectly honest, he would've been happy to be paired with any of the girls. Elle was a sweet girl, and he enjoyed her company; Lucy was a stunning girl, and they'd gotten along fairly well as kids. And Cecily was completely beautiful, and a wonderful person: he had no doubt she'd make a great wife, no matter who she was to be wed to. Arabelle, it seemed, was taking the entire thing a lot harder than he was, as she'd sat down and currently had her head in her hands. He moved to sit next to her, watching her, though not saying anything unless she spoke first.

His sister didn't look up until Cecily returned, and James also directed his attention to the other brunette. She had changed, and this outfit seemed to make her shine, more than normal. He found himself hoping that he was the one she was paired with. Elle and Lucy were fine, but right now Cecily outshined them both. His stomach gave a slight flip when his sister was paired with Hatter, but then he found he was to be with Cecily. He couldn't help the smile that spread across his face, but it was wiped away when his future wife ran back upstairs. His sister soon followed.

So, at that moment, James found himself alone. It was an awkward moment, but Hatter soon joined him and offered to go get a beer. He found himself nodding. "A beer sounds wonderful," he responded. It was a strange scene that had just occurred, and the the weight of everything hadn't full settled in yet. A beer sounded fantastic right about then.

Elsie took his hand and walked out of the mansion, hearing a few snaps of the paparazzi’s cameras. She was sure that there would be a competition to get a picture of any of the couple’s first kisses and that the cameras wouldn’t be leaving for a while. Elle tightened her grip on Derrick’s hand and took a deep breath. The smell of the garden was overwhelming, bringing back memories from when they were children. Memories of her and Hatter arguing over who was more fun, her first kiss with... one of the boys, her first camp out. A lot of good things happened to her in the large royal garden. She looked at Derrick and then back at some of the red flowers nearby. She paused to take a look, her hand slipping away from Derrick’s so that she could smell it. ”I hope Cecily is okay. She stated to no one in particular other than herself. After a few moments she stood back up and looked over at the tire swing on the old willow tree. She ran too it, pausing only to motion that Derrick should follow suit. She sat comfortably in the swing just like it was yesterday, the eight royal’s names carved into one side. ”Do you want to go out tonight, because frankly I’d prefer to spend time with you on catching up than watch Hatter get in trouble with James.” She paused for a moment waiting for a reply before continuing. ”And sorry if I wasn’t your choice.”

He ignored the paparazzi. yes they were an annoying herd, but his famous prince. Nothing to really do about it. He watched Elise's hand fall to her side and letting his. His smile faltered a bit, but he smiled after he watched her fit herself inside the tire swing. He followed her happily. He went behind the swing and started to push her a bit. He couldn't help but smile about her concern for him. "Don't worry about Elise. I'm just happy its not a complete stranger. Besides, your beautiful both in and out." He said happily. He glanced at the old carving in the tree. He smile grew wider. He was in a good mood today, then again, he pretty much was everyday. He nodded. He realized hadn't answered about dinner. "I would love to Elise, although, I was hoping I got a chance to ask. Yes, I don't want to see them fight. Anywhere specific?" he asked her kindly letting her choose.
