Upon stepping off the private jet, Lucy resisted all urges to get down on her knees and kiss the ground. She hated flying, almost more than anything. The long flights were the worst. Before she could even feel the warm air brisk across her body, she was greeted with flash-upon-flash of paparazzo's cameras. Pulling on her sunglasses, she made her way to the limousine with her head held high, despite what she was feeling inside. Did she like always being the center of attention? No, far from it. If she had the option, she would not be a princess. Being royalty was too much pressure for her to handle, especially since she was raised with little social interaction. It took everything out of her not to have a panic attack when she was in the limelight. All she cared about for the time being was getting to her destination to meet up with the other princes and princesses.
This would not be a piece of cake either. Lucy was basically a Russian mail-order bride. Not really, but she felt like it. She didn't believe in arranged marriages; nor would she ever. Especially since she was to wed a male, and men are not her cup of tea. Though no one knows it, she fancies women far too much. A rush of excitement filled her when she imagined the disappointment on her future-husband's face when she told him the news of her homosexuality.
Stepping into the limousine, Lucy watched as the door was closed behind her before she pulled off her shades and placed them back into her black Chanel purse. The driver's seat window then rolled down which was followed by, "It should only be a five minute drive, Princess Tsarev."
"Thank you," she managed to say in a monotone voice as her thumb dashed across her Blackberry Torch screen.
It seemed like seconds that they had been driving. Before she knew it, they had arrived at their destination. He heart began to race as she wondered whether or not her husband-to-be had arrived. Lucy just wanted to step out of the vehicle and run. Run as fast as she could. Start a new life for herself and produce a new identity. Of course, she would never be able to get away with this and she realized her unrealistic imagination. Lucy just wished, every day, that she had been born to a different family. What mental problem must a parent have to agree upon arranged marriage? Certainly ones that didn't care about their children's feelings towards it.
Lucy made her way into the building and was instantly greeted by one of her butlers from the castle. "Good morning, Princess Lucy. Shall I bring your bags to your room?" He eyed the limousine from outside, assuming the suitcases were still in there.
"That would be fantastic. Thank you, Nicolas." With that, he made his way outside as her eyes were brought towards the two people left in the room with her. Her heart began racing faster. Were these two royalty? They had to be, right? Should I say something or should I let them come to me?
After a few minutes of debating, she made her way over to Hatter and Elle and said with a forced smile, "Hello. I'm Lucy Tsarev. Who might you two be?"
