Freshman Orientation of 2006/2007. Welcome to Hermosa Beach Preparatory High School home of the Hermosa Beach Tigers and nearly 2,000 high schoolers just like you. Hermosa Beach Prep School is happy to welcome you with open arms now that you have managed to pass our entrance exams, survive through extensive interviews and met all academic and extra curricular requirements to finaly be accepted as this years newest freshman class. However, this is not something to be taken lightly it will not be an easy road, your scheduel will be packed full with difficult core classess and other required activities you must attend or you'll find that school and life here will be much more difficult than necessary. On top of keeping up with a difficult scheduel homework, friends, and other social events you must keep up a GPA of at least a 3.5 or it will be sayonara Hermosa Beach Prep. If any of you feel as though you can't keep up with all the requirements here at Hermosa Beach Prep, then I urge you to speak up and walk out those doors. However, if you are more than ready for the challenge. . .we are ready to accept you, welcome to Hermosa Beach Preparatory School!

Winter 2010 So you found out that school here at Hermosa Beach was in fact a difficult road however you have managed to stand the test of time and keep up with classes and grades, congratulations. Although you didn't expect everything else did you? All the cliques, drama, parties, relationship issues that high school presented. Since you walked the halls of Hermosa Prep as freshman, you have changed a great deal and not only physically but emotionally. You've found love and had your heart broken countless times, friendships have been made and even destroyed beyond repair, you've tried things you wouldn't have imagined doing back in middle school. Just because you attend one of the most prestigious prep schools in the entire New England area doesn't mean you were exempt from the entire high school experience. Parties, dances, late nights with friends all full of memories, but what about the other stuff? Trying drugs. . .drinking. . .sex. . .and just getting caught up in all that high school drama was something even Hermosa Beach Preperatory High School couldn't prevent. Perhaps the most defining aspect of high school couldn't have even been avoided. . .the dreaded cliques. The popular crowd ran the school from day one and were worshiped for their designer clothes and good looks. . .most wanted to be them while others could care less and all are judged by the populars. . .they dictate what's cool and what's so. . .NOT! While some populars are much nicer than others. . .a vast majority of them are stuck up snobs who wipe the floor with those who are considered 'socially challenged'. In the end, it's all up to the populars who gets in or sits on the sidelines. So do you have what it takes to get in or. . .are you SOOO out?

General Rules Hello all and welcome, okay it's time for the fun stuff. . .yep the rules and paragraph form too. . .sucks for you. Anyway let's get started you probalby know most of these rules but they need to be in here somewhere or the gaia cops will arrest me, and we don't want that do we. First and foremost NO CYBERING!! Do that on your own times darlings, but while you are here please time skip when that special moment comes. . .we really don't want to hear about that explosion, you all know exactly what I'm talking about there. Secondly, don't kill anyone. . .EVER!!! Not even your own character. In addition to that please keep things real, if your character sticks a gun to their head and pulls the trigger THEY ARE GOING TO DIE!!! NOBODY SURVIVES THAT, IF PRESIDENT KENNEDY CAN'T LIVE THROUGH THAT THEN CERTAINLY YOU CAN'T EITHER!! So keep things real. I also DO NOT want any noob drama. . .therefore noobs are banned from here so we can avoid that. I swear if someone suddenly comes down with a stupid breathing issue or somehow manages to throw themselves down an elevator shaft and looses a leg I'm going to lose it on you. . .trust me it WILL NOT be pretty, so no stupid drama. . .only good relationship backstabbing drama, that's the best kind and we all know it. Be nice to everyone at least in ooc. . .if your characters hate each other then that's fine, but don't be too extreme. Cussins is perfectly fine, I have quite the potty mouth at times but please keep the swearing to a minimum, and when you do type out a cuss word don't make gaia censor it, censor it yourself for example: God d*mmit, what a b*tch etc. I think that about covers those rules. Now that we have a mutual understanding lets move on.


Literacy Rules To me literacy is very very very important. Therefore, if you are a nooby one linger, then GET THE HELL OUT!! This is NO place for you. . .I hate noob idiocy when it comes to roleplaying. . .if you have trouble grasping all of this then you really should redirect yourself to the back button on the top of the page, please and thank you. I already pointed out that this is strictly a literate thread, nothing more nothing less. I suppose that maybe I have a morphed idea of what literate actually is even though I'm well aware of the requirements of all posting calibers. When I say literate I mean anywhere from three to five paragraphs. . .NO MORE THAN SIX PARAGRAPHS (Except first post) I LIKE LOOKING AT LONG POSTS. . .NOT reading six paragraph post after six paragraph post! It is exhausting, great that you can write but lets not kid ourselves. . .NO ONE IS GOING TO READ THE ENTIRE THING IF IT IS LONGER THAN THREE OR FOUR PARAGRAPHS!! Now I want juicy and thick paragraphs. . .just like that guy on the 'I like big butts' song likes his buns thick and juicy. I want thick and juicy paragraphs full of detail, thoughts, emotion, I mean REALLY get into your characters, feel what they feel, think what they think. . .even go as far as to pretend that YOU ARE the character in your everyday life. . .did that once, don't judge!! Any more questions? No. Good. Done. . .let's continue.


Profile & Reserve Rules Yes I do require both a profile and reserve in ALL of my threads, don't like it, tough. First of all you must send me a reserve before a profile, a profile sent before a reserve will be immediately rejected and I will never talk to you again. . .which ultimately means that you DIDN'T get the role, sorry toots that's just the way it works. Now while filling out both a profile and reserve you need to fill in all the information correctly, granted most of the information in the reserve is already filled out you must send it in completely filled out and completely correct. Now a profile is obviously more in depth than the reserve so be careful when reading and follow instructions flawlessly or as close to flawlessly as possible. . .if you really screwed it up I'm not going to worry about fixing it. . .if you miss a posting color here and there I'll take care of it myself, you're welcome. Now when filling out a profile, be creative!! God gave you a brain to use not to look pretty and keep your head from floating away, so I expect you to use your brain and be creative while filling out the profile because boring profiles are quite. . .boring. Nobody likes boredom. When sending in the reserve please title it 'Looking To Attend Hermosa Beach Prep School' and when sending in the profile please title it 'Here's the transcript, enjoy'


Posting Rules Geez, these turned out longer than I thought, just goes to show you how thorough I am. Anyway when it comes to posting I want you to post often. Now I know that we are in the midst of school and times are tough and busy, I totally understand that but you also need to be dedicated to your threads which ultimately means JUGGLING YOUR ROLEPLAYS!! I CAN DO IT, SO CAN YOU!! Now please pos two times a week at the least, I want this to be a long term thread and I'd really cry if things just died right off the bat. . .so sad. Anyway post often please please please, however if you cannot continue please tell me why you can no longer keep up with the thread. In addition if you are going to take a leave of absence for an extended period of time please inform me so I don't delete your character because I got a little impatient, it happens sorry. Now general posting technicque, make them pretty. . .pretty and decorative posts are definetly more attractive and a MUST in a literate thread. However, there is a fine line between just right and too much, be mindful of that. In addition to that DO NOT decorate your pictures with names, kissy faces, stars, words etc; it's not cute or cool. . .it's tacky. Here are examples of what I want and what I don't want. Acceptable NOT acceptable. Okay with that out of the way, pick bright posting colors. Anything from the colorful hues of greens, purples, pinks, oranges, and blues are greatly appreciated. . .don't choose the dull and light ones THEY'RE BORING AND HARD TO READ AT TIMES!! Also DO NOT use yellor or cyan. . .I hate it when my eyes bleed. Finally speech should be bold in your posting color, thoughts italics in posting colors, text messages are underlined and in your posting color.

A few things before I introduce our characters, this time I decided to pick the celebrities myself, sucks for you! This way I don't have to deal with depressing emos, people I've never seen before in my life, pictures of people themselves, or age inappropriate characters. Now I know some of you are 'disney/over used celebrity' haters, well screw you! We ALL loved disney at one time, why do we have to start hating now? Anyway, I like them all so if you have a problem then get out! Most of these characters are over used and disney stars or stars everyone knows and may or may not love so just get over it, there are plenty of other roleplays out there where you can hate on Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez. Now if you like these people like I do then you shouldn't have that problem. However, I am a nice guy and will listen to reason. . .not this time. If you are desperate enough to join then you'll deal with the people I've picked capisce? These characters have specific titles so to speak, so when you apply for a character keep in mind that your character should live up to their title and breif description, it's your job as the avid roleplayer to live up to the description as best as you can. When you fill out your biography on the profile skeleton DO NOT copy the character description and paste it into the biography, be original and use your brain, seriously people. If you can't come up with a decent biography without taking MY descriptions, then how does that effect my image of your roleplaying abilities?? Any more questions? No. Good. Done.

Now these students are mainly broken down into the individual cliques which aren't too hard to guess. . .the populars and. . .everyone else pretty much. The popular kids rule the school and aren't always real nice to the less popular kids and often make it well known that they are on top by pointing out that the lamer kids aren't so. . .great. The popular kids have the greatest parties, best clothes, most drama, and most of all the money and prestige that goes along with attending Hermosa Beach Prep. The lesser students try to avoid most of the popular kids and keep amongst themselves but their lives aren't so fast paced. . .they like to sit back and enjoy life instead of partying it away crazily and all the stuff the popular kids bow down and worship. The not so socially skilled students are the ones who are obviously smart and excel in school as well as trying their best to stay out of trouble and either away from the popular kids or face them head on with their complaints about their behavior and over all swelled heads.

Ah yes no school would be complete without her homecoming queen, winter sports queen and future prom queen. Camilla is obviously the head of the populars, she's bossy and manipulative, always gets what she wants and when she doesn't get it. . .then there's hell to pay. However, she has a sickeningly sweet side to her, it's all a part of the manipulation. . .she uses it to her advantage and everyone absolutely hates her for it. . .by being sweet and nice when it counts, Camilla can get whatever she wants. Camilla is now best friends with Mary, and Bonnie. Camilla has always been close to Wesley but never actually dated him because she has the mentality that she's too good for anyone at this school but can't deny she finds all her senior popular guy friends are horribly attractive. . .and she knows exactly how to play them, and quite possibly much much better than her friend, Bonnie after all. . .what guy HASN'T watched as she strutted her stuff in the hallways or fanticised about what they know they can't have. . .just another advantage Camilla holds above the rest, her looks and power over men despite her stuck up personality.

And where would a Queen be without her loyal assistant? Mary is second best to her friend, Camilla and always will be. While just as b*tchy and manipulative as her friend, theres no possible way to stand up to her queen like friend without some sort of punishment, so she stays as her second best assistant, although secretly unhappy one would say. Mary secretly hates Camilla but in typical girl fashion acts like her best friend when the two are together, Camilla acting just the same way. Mary replaced Olivia back when things got really catty between the two girls, and Mary just so happened to start school at Hermosa Beach Prep the day Olivia walked away. Mary is best friends with Camilla and Bonnie, and much to Camilla's dismay her assistant has snagged the heart of The Star Athlete and they have been going strong ever since the beginning of the year.

Also included in her title Bonnie does get around quite a bit she likes the boys and what they have to offer. . .it's almost like she has a list of guys she wants to hit up for every year and there's nothing stopping her from getting the guys she wants. Bonnie is friends with Camilla, Mary and nearly every popular guy in the Junior and Senior class. . .if not a little more with most of them. In the past Bonnie had a pretty serious fling with The Star Athlete but things got a little too serious and she backed out. . .her latest target. . .the ultimate. . .Wesley, but Carter has her tied up as well. . .

Her relationship with Markus is that of I love him like a brother, they've been friends since the start and nothing is about to change that, they know pretty much everything about one another and while most people would think it's a high school crush going on between them, there really are no feelings past total friendship. Lately Ariana has been seeing the Hopeless Romantic and is starting to find that maybe she has a little thing for him but then again it could just be hormones. In the past Ariana had an off and on relationship with Carter. . .Hopeless Romantic's older brother. . .

However, Rachel is very careful when it comes to dishing the dirty laundry she knows. . .after all how would she keep up on the latest this and that if she went out and proclaimed people's biggest secrets to the world. . .she would no longer have any friends or dirty secret sharing, where she gets ALL her information, but people share their secrets with her because she's so sweet and nobody ever figures it's her telling their dirty secrets. Rachel is best friends with Joshua, Hopeless Romantic and Angelina. Rachel and Ariana hate each other, ever since Rachel spread a rumor that Ariana was pregnant with Carter baby. Got even worse when Rachel and Carter got together, but lately Rachel has had her eyes on a taken classmante. . .Markus, even though she's still with Carter

Angelina rarely ever ridicules the less popular kids, in fact there are times where she even socializes with them, despite the potential of damaging her reputation. Angelina is also one of the smarter populars and is rarely caught dead without her best friend, Ariana. The two have known each other from the start and have been inseperable ever since. Angelina is also good friends with Rachel, Joshua and Hopeless Romantic and long term girlfriend of Markus. She adores Markus and wouldn't trade his love for the world but since he and Ariana are also close friends she sometimes worries that maybe she'll lose her boyfriend to her best friend, and does get jealous of Ariana if she sees them together. However, Angelina better watch out for her friend, Rachel. . .she's slowly moving in on Markus and Angelina is just beginning to catch on and now feels even more like she may very well lose her beloved Likeable Mister.

Wesley is good friends with Camilla, Mary, The Star Athlete and Carter. Lately Wesley has noticed that Bonnie has been rather flirty lately and while flirting back with her Wesley has his eyes on another prize, a Junior prize. . .Ariana. Even though he knows Hopeless Romantic has a thing for the girl that's not stopping Wesley from going in there and getting what he wants, and being the king often works to his advantage. . .can intimidate other suitors, yet he wonders why Ariana hasn't yet taken up his offer on a date, after all who can resist the king of Hermosa Beach?

Ever since a younge age he's always been the high light and entertainment during a boring class and he wouldn't have it any other way and neither would anyone else. Carter is best friends with Wesley, Star Athelete, and Mary, you can often find them causing comedic terror in any given hall. Carter has been dating Rachel for the past three or four months and things are going alright. . .except he's been meeting up with Bonnie most nights for a steamy night together. . .however Rachel hasn't caught on yet. However, he has noticed her increased undivided attention in Markus and doesn't really appreciate it. . .hypocrite! What will happen if and when Rachel finds out about Carter's secret nights with Bonnie? In the past Carter had an on and off relationship with Ariana but eventually they just called it quits. However, Carter isn't sure how he feels about his ex cuddling up to his little brother, Hopeless Romantic. . .or that his best friend, Wesley, is kind of taking his little brother's girl. . .rock and a hard place. Carter also has a twin brother who is attractive enough to make it as a popular. . .but unfortunately Attractive Nerd is just too nerdy to make the cut, making the twin brotherhood awkward at school anyway.

Yes, no school would be complete without it's Star Athlete, Star Athlete lead nearly every team to championship after championship and is no doubt to win an MVP some year and land a crazy scholarship for one sport or another. The Star Athlete is friends with Wesley, Carter, and Camilla, he is currently dating Mary and couldn't be happier. . .after several months of crushing it finally paid off and if he isn't mistaken she likes him almost as much as he likes her, so cute. His past relationship with Bonnie didn't end well for either of them. . .they still don't talk and barely look at one another, in essence the promiscuous side of his 'ex' got away from her and she was with a few other guys before the relationship ended.

Joshua is good friends with Markus, Hopeless Romantic, Ariana, Angelina and most of all Rachel. Ever since the two met Joshua always had a huge crush on the girl but she was too unobservant to pick up on the signs, and Joshua finds himself in a classic you belong with me scenario. Joshua also finds himself crushing on another as well. . .one not within the boundaries of their clique but a crush none the less. He does talk to this girl occasionally and in fact consideres her one of his best friends even though he doesn't show others, she's there for him and a shoulder to cry on and this forbidden crush of Joshua's is none other than Vienna.

Nearly everyone likes him and he's certainly one of the nicer populars you will meet Markus is the guy most people can get along with and would classify as your typical nice guy. . .most of the time, we can't ALWAYS be on our best and nicest behavior all the time. Markus is good friends with Hopeless Romantic, Joshua, Rachel, best friends with Ariana and long term (coming up on their year long anniversary) boyfriend to his girlfriend, Angelina. Markus loves his girlfriend to death and would do anything for her yet he does have a tendancy to flirt with other girls at times but nothing too extreme, not the cheating type so to speak. While being a very cute and happy couple Markus has noticed that Rachel is getting a little too close for comfort and doesn't really know what to think or do about it, he doesn't want to be a jerk by ignoring it and telling her to go and bother someone else, then again he knows that his Angelina really worrys about he and Rachel and that if things go too far with Rachel he could very well lose his beloved girlfriend, not to mention that she also has a boyfriend. . .therefore causing not only problems for he and Angelina, but Carter too.

Hopless Romantic is good friends with Markus, Joshua, Rachel and Angelina. While always a friend to Ariana, Hopeless Romantic has always wanted more than just close friendship with her and finally he feels as though he's making some headway, yet it seems that when he's starting to make progress Wesley sticks his nose in things and knocks him back down the ladder, and how his a lowly Junior supposed to compete with a Senior, let alone the king of the school? Hopeless Romantic is also presented with another problem than just Wesley. . .he's noticed that an unpopular girl, Nicole, has kind of been acting strange around him. . .and maybe just maybe considering her as a significan other isn't completely out of the question, especially if Wesley manages to take Ariana away from him.

Oh yes the cliche story of two girls who used to be best friends but then some unforseen event went down and now they hate eachother, that's where you'll find Olivia. Olivia used to be Camilla's best friend, trick-or-treating together and all those sleep overs are now a thing of the past. Olivia got fed up with Camilla's ways, and after their last fight she walked away and started chilling with the lesser crowd and found that they're much more relaxed than the popular crowd. Olivia is best friends with Skylar, Emma and really close with Mr. Sarcasm. . .so close it's a crime that they're not together yet but for some reason they haven't taken the next step. In the past Olivia had sort of a thing for Travis but he went for Nicole instead, so she moved on, but it took her some time and talking to Mr. Sarcasm to get over the whole ordeal. . .after all the Sensitive guy lead her on surprisingly enough, not prime behavior of Travis

Very girly Debra has become good friends with Olivia, Skylar, Vienna and Nicole, but isn't a big fan of Emma. Travis wasn't exactly being discrete about his behavior or feelings he'd developed for Skylar so Nicole broke up with him and there's now more opportunity for Travis to get with Skylar. . .if she ever breaks up with her current boyfriend, Attractive Nerd. - - -You must be involved in at least two extra curicular activities including sports, clubs/organizations.

- - -Clothing must follow the dress code, boys! I don’t want to see your undies! Girls! Keep your stomachs covered, legs, and other parts of the body. Any piece of clothing that does not follow these rules will be immediately exchanged for clothes in the lost and found, and you will receive a detention.
- - -No running in the halls, you’re battling 1,999 other kids……………..the odds aren’t pretty
- - -Profanity is NOT tolerated
- - -DO NOT come to school drunk or high, you will immediately be expelled and the police will become involved
- - -Females only: Hermosa Beach is a wholesome school and we know the boy is just as guilty as the girl but it's hard to pin a guy for this. Anyway if you become pregnant during your school time here, you will be expelled.
