Swimming after a good ten minutes could become dull, especially if you were alone. So, to cure her boredom, Corrine left the pool and grabbed a towel and a few dollars from her beach bag. She hoped that it was just enough to buy a soda. Sometimes drinks from a bar were more expensive than the ones that came out of vending machines. Cory expertly wrapped the fluffy white towel around her waist and made her way to the bar where more people had gathered. They all looked like the typical rich snobs that didn’t pay attention to her because she herself wasn’t as wealthy, but she kept an open mind. Leaving a trail of water behind her that was still dripping off of her hair and the rest of her body, she reached the crowded bar and found an empty seat that squeaked when she sat down.
“I’ll just have a Coca-Cola please.” she ordered with a polite smile. The bartender was faster than she thought he actually was and had whipped out her soda in no time, also adding a cherry with a wink. “Hey, thanks.” Corrine gratefully traded the right amount of money for her drink and placed the change in his tip jar. With another loud squeak, she turned in her chair and stared out into the beautiful scenery still not able to grasp the idea that she was staying in a place like this.
