Hayden set his black wallet on the counter in front of the bar tender and asked if he could look after it for him. The bartender nodded and slid Hayden's belongings closer to him. He looked around Hayden's age, but was a little bit taller and a little more muscular. Hayden looked through menu quickly and chose a strawberry smoothie. The bartender told him it was gonna be about 10 minutes because he had other orders. Hayden nodded slightly and told him to charge it to his room.

He stood up and headed toward the pool. It was pretty nice out and he didn't want to sit and wait ten minutes for his order to be completed. The pool was pretty empty and the water was clear as crystal. He raised his arms, letting out a little yawn and then dove into the water. His body manuevered smoothly through the water, down towards the bottom of the pool. He swam up towards the surface and started swimming back and forth, from one side to the other. He did this about ten times and then stopped, swimming in the center of the pool, kicking his legs to keep himself afloat. He looked at poolside and saw a girl near the bar and then looked at the bartender. The bartender signaled that his drink was almost done so he swam a couple more laps and then pulled himself out of the pool and headed towards the bar.

=CORRiNE MARiE SPENCER ´

Emerald green eyes scanned the pool area that as a smile crept onto the young woman’s glowing face. Cory couldn’t believe that she was staying at the most luxurious resort in all of California. Just last summer she had been staying at home, absolutely bored to tears. It had happened all so quickly. At the beginning of the school year her mom had the great idea that she go spend the summer at the resort while the rest of her friends were away on more fabulous and exciting vacations. So Corrine worked tirelessly, day and night, to earn enough money for her stay. Of course with a little help from her birthday money and parents, she had finally saved a large amount for a funfilled, parent-free summer. And the handsome boys that were also staying at the resort was another plus.

The first minute she stepped into the elegant lobby, Cory knew that the summer was going to be full of fun and adventure. And to start her adventure, she had decided that a good relaxing soak in the pool and some lounging around would be a good start. She had dressed herself in the new, classy bikini that was white with blue nautical stripes. The swimsuit made her feel good and apparently look good according to her best friend who had left for New York they day before she arrived at Payton Beach.

The sun was gloriously warm and shining brightly onto her bare shoulders which began to hurt, a painful reminder that she should apply more sun screen. After slathering on another layer of the lotion, Corrine removed herself from the chair she was sunbathing on and jumped into the pool. Her collision with the water created small ripples that surrounded her. Once her lungs begged her to surface for air, she popped out of the water and floated on her back. She caught a quick glimpse of the back of a gorgeous boy heading to the bar and another of a girl also around her age making her way to the bar, but was a bit too shy to approach either one of them. “There’ll be some time later to socialize.” she told herself before going back under the water.

The waves lapped across Steven's bronze skin, trickles of water running down his smooth chest. After successfully landing another wave, he plunged under water, his skin feeling fiery hot. Reappearing through the blue mist, he shook out his dark blond hair, and rubbed his chocolate eyes. Making his way back to the surface, he dried himself with his royal blue towel before making his way back to the hotel. Entering through the lobby, he made his way into the bar, and watched as a few people swam laps in a pool nearby. Setting himself upon a stool, he ordered himself a drink. Nearby was another guy around his age, and two females who attracted his eye.

As his drink was brought to him, he rested his elbows on the countertop as he took a sip and thought to himself. He had moved to New York, New York from Daytona, Florida a year ago, and had immediatley fit in. He had adapted to his new environment fairly well, and everyone was easy enough to get along with. However, New York was always cold, and he had missed the sun. Now, as he glanced out the window at the blue sea, a smile curved upon his lip. It was like being home again.

Hayden grabbed a towel from the counter and placed it on top of his head and started to dry his hair. Small drops of water slid off his arms and splashed the concrete ground as he moved his hands with the towel. He stopped and then threw the towel around his neck. After that he took a seat a couple chairs down from a guy who had just arrived at the poolside.

The bartender set his smoothie down in front of him and handed him back his wallet. "Thanks."Hayden opened his wallet up and pulled out a couple of fresh dollars and set it on the counter. He picked up his glass, put his lips on the straw and took a taste of his drink. Smoothies were his favorite. He took another taste of his drink as he watched a girl swim in the pool. He didn't notice that another person was in the pool. He figured she had just gotten in after he had just got out.

Christopher Taylor Jones

Chris watched the world go by as he stared out the window of his parents' Roles Royce Phantom. A car which he thought was a huge waste of money, but at least it was comfortable. For some reason, his mom and dad had insisted on driving him to the hotel themselves. From the mumbles he heard originating in the front seat, he could tell that they were talking to him. They would have gotten more of a reaction from a wall, but their boats were floating and that's what mattered. Chris really couldn't figure out why it was they were sending him here. The best he could come up with was that they wanted to change him into someone like them, and everyone who seemed to populate the area. Like that would ever happen.

The car pulled into the arched entrance way of the hotel, and came to a slow stop. Before his parents could even turn to look at him, Chris was out of the car and headed towards the lobby. He had a large, black duffle bag hanging across his chest. In that was everything he had brought with him. Clothes, toiletries, and of course his camera. Something which he never went anywhere without, no matter how much his parents protested.

Once inside the large building, Chris looked around the lobby and shook his head. Was all this really necessary? Probably not, but it helped keep the snobby kids happy, and that's what was wanted. He walked up to the front desk and gave the lady his name. She told him that his room wasn't ready yet and asked if she could take his bag, suprised that it was all he had. After a couple seconds of removing his camera from the bag, and zipping it back up, Chris handed it to her and left the lobby. He figured he might as well get to know his surroundings, so he headed to the pool. Once outside, he immediatly walked towards the bar, smiling at all the girls he passed. He sat down on one of the stools and ordered something.

She finished changing and began to walk to the door. On the side table beside the door she had left her cell phone and purse, she grabbed them. Closing the door behind her she walked down the long hallway to the elevator and pushed the button. A few seconds later there was a ding indicating the elevator doors were opening. She walked in, leaning her back against the wall of the elevator. Another ding, and she stepped out of the elevator. She begins to walk towards the pool area. It was a nice warm summer day, and the breeze blew threw her hair. She walked toward the pool side bar and sat down.

"Can i have a menu please?",she asked.
"Yes mam", the guy behind the counter stated.

She sat there flipping threw the menu, and finally came to a desicion she wanted a kiwi strawberry smoothie.

"May i have a kiwi strawberry smoothie please?", she said threw a smile.
"Yes mam it will be a little while though", he said nicely.
"Ok thank you very much", she turned and walked towards the pool.

She gazed at the water for a little while, finally coming to the desicion just to wade threw it. She steped in slowly going down into the water. She relaxed and waited for her drink.

Judith Clair Garza sat down at the pool bar counter just as some guy who might have as some other time seemed to her like some god, reached it, and another girl. There was a girl in the pool too. The pool looked almost green in color and the water sparkled with the sun. It was inviting, and Judith did love to swim. She debated slowly, either she could stay at the bar and try to come up with some reason to either talk to the guy or girl or not, or she could simply jump in the pool without a word to anyone. Pool. Definitely. She was too tired, too full of things to think on to talk to anyone. She left the pool bar and went to the far side where she kicked off her shorts and yanked off her tank top. During the summer, she almost always wore some sort of swimsuit beneath her normal clothing just in case some watery thing called to her. Thankfully this time it was the yellow-and-green striped halter bikini instead of her black one-piece that was fading into an ugly greenish color. She should have thrown that one away before she came, but it had sipped her mind the flurry of packing.
A smooth swan-dive into the pool produced a small-ish splash that did not quite reach her bag. That was a good thing. Her cell-phone would have been ruined if it got wet one more time.

Steven took another swig of his drink, as he watched another girl enter in. Another hottie. This vacation might not be so bad after all. About to approach her, she took a dive into the pool, splashing water across the cement. Deciding better of it, he turned to the guy who sat a few seats away from him. Getting up, he made his way towards him, and sat down beside him. "Mind if I sit here?" he asked. Not really waiting for an answer, he sat down, and turned his seat so that he had full view of the pool.

Steven and his old girlfriend, Andrea had been dating for two years; his longest relationship yet. But Steven really wasn't the settle down with one girl type. Sure, he was committed to one girl when he was with her, but that relationship had lasted too long for his taste. He broke up with Andrea about two weeks ago, and had been a free bird ever since. It felt great. Especially now that he was looking at all the hot chicks sitting at the bar and in the pool. Turning to the guy beside him, he extended his hand, "Hey, man, name's Steven."

Hayden turned his attention away from the pool and looked at the guy who was taking a seat next to him. He set his drink down and shook the guys hand. "Hayden." He was a little surprised at how easily he was getting approached at this place. Back home no one he didn't know never talked to him. He figured it was because of his father and how wealthy he was. He hated it. Back home he had a few friends that he could really trust. Trust was a big issue with him. But here he didn't really have to worry about that. Everyone was rich. He was the same status everyone else.

"I just got here a little while ago."

Steven nodded his head as he took another swig of his drink as he shook Hayden's hand. "Nice name," he nodded as he let his eyes linger over one of the girl's in the pool. "Where are you from?" he asked, setting his drink down. Hm.. there were say... about three or four girls, which one to approach? Not to mention that party tonight. Would it be better to wait till then to talk to them? Nah, Steven wasn't really a "waiting" kind of guy. He preferred everything upfront, and simple. "Say, do you know any of these girls?" he asked, glancing over at Hayden with a cocky smile playing across his lips.

"I'm from San Diego." He picked up his glass and took another drink of his smoothie. The warm temperatures were melting it pretty quickly, making it turn more into juice. He held the glass with both of his hands, feeling the chill cool his hands. He could see that Steven was paying close attention to the girls near the pool. Hayden was a good observer. He learned to read people by their body language easily through the years. He wasn't exactly anti social or shy. He just kept to himself most of the time. He made a promise to himself that he'd have fun on this trip and make the best of it. He looked from Steven to the girls and then back to him again. "I don't really know anyone here. You're the first person I've met since I've been here." Hayden took another drink. "My dad thought it'd be a good idea for me to come here. I've never been here before and I don't really know what there is to do."

Judith Clair Garza felt about sixty-three point eight two percent better as she surfaced then she had before she jumped into the pool. She pushed her hair out of her face and took a deep breath, then went under again. Beneath the calm reflective surface, the sounds from outside were muted and calm. Someone could be screaming above and below it would sound like a lullaby or laughter. She swam a quick lap back around to wear her things lay scattered on one of the lounge chairs like a big sign saying in flashy bold letters: JUDITH CLAIR GARZA RICH LITTLE GIRL WAS HERE! She liked things that announced her presence. Things that spoke for her when she didn't want to say anything. Things seemed to add those special touches to her words, to finesse the language that she spoke.

She pushed herself up at the poolside and turned so that she was sitting on the edge with her feet and lower legs still in the water. Now it seemed like the outside temperature wasn't oppressing or tiring at all. It was perfect. Besides, she would much rather let the air- and sundry then use towels. It seemed like all the idiots back home could draw innuendo from towel-drying. Even if you were drying off your dog. Judith gazed absentmindedly into the clear blue-ish green water. If she bothered to look up at all, she would have a pretty nice view of two suave looking guys. One of them she saw earlier at the bar. I hope they aren't gay. That would just be death on a stick. She thought with a half-smile.

Steven motioned for the bartender to come over, and ordered a refill. Listening to Hayden, he replied, "Yea, I came from the northern part of California, but the drive was still pretty long." Recieving his new drink, he nodded his head, "Same here. Saw some girls on the beach, but got distracted by the waves to say anything to them." He chuckled slightly to himself as he took a swig of his drink. "Same here, I don't mind it though. I needed a vacation anyways."

Glancing across the bar, he saw an attractive girl take a seat. A bit skinny, but that was exactly his type. Seeing her eye them, he let the corners of his mouth turn up slightly into a small grin. Giving her a wink, he took another swig of his drink before nodding his head to Hayden. "Hm.. what do you think about that girl?" He nodded his head nonchalantly, but kept his eyes focused on Hayden as to not let her know they were discussing her.
