Alice really was one in the million worried over a silly name he was called, or going to be called or had been called? Really, it was just a name, hell he wondered what his name would have been if his mother and father would have raised him. Did Cooper bother him? No, not at all he was raised with that name so it was part of him even if there were things that man did he had certain habits similar to him. Like what? Eh, well the biggest thing they had in common is when they decide something they don’t let it go. It was a known fact you learn things not just in school but from the people that raised you and the certain situations you was in. “I hope so.” Did he think they it was easy? Well he hoped, but he wasn’t exactly sure he knew Belle as he went in often to eat when she worked at the pub. “Yeah she always gives me an odd look when I accidentally come in the room when she’s speaking to ‘him’ I usually get my butt out I don’t like being near them together.” Shaking his head, he really didn’t they was two very evil people, people who would hurt others to get what they wanted.

They entered the library and he followed after Alice and they found her by the books, a place he knew she’d be. Why? Not just because of who she really was, because he followed her sometimes. No, he wasn’t some young stalker who was going to become a serial killer, it made him feel closer. Did she ever notice him? Sometimes, but he always had some kind of books out, so it could have looked like he was studying or just staying out of the way in the house. When Madeline spoke it made him nervous where he became quiet and that never happened to Cooper he wasn’t supposed to be afraid of anything. Yet, telling her she was a story character telling her that she was his…giving a shake of his head. Before he could speak someone else came into the picture that made him cross his arm in annoyance. That man he dislike, and not because he was a played a bad guy in his story, truthfully he could care less about that. It was the way he just kept going after Maddie and in a way it annoyed him that Maddie’s father even annoyed the guy in the pub.

Maddie left him and Alice standing there while Gaston well he wasn’t one to say much to that man yet, he wasn’t one not to say it too. A little more fearless then he should be when it came to some things. “Leave Maddie alone or I’ll tell Auryon Yaeger your stalking Maddie and she works with my father so I know she listen to me.” He turned away grabbing Alice hand and pulled her towards the exit he wasn’t sure if he wanted to go after Maddie until he caught the site of the back of her and nodded his head. “Sorry I got cold feet for a minute, later I need to tell you something I haven’t told anyone.” He said almost shakily and dropped her hand moving away from her and after Maddie getting closer. “Maddie is there a chance that we can we talk to you? I…we need to tell you a few things.” He hoped she listened to him, she really enjoyed kids and when he came in over half the time he didn’t have to pay. “It really is important.” He said as he looked back to Alice and nodding his head, he smiled a little and looked back to the older person that was now a few feet from them.

[Gaston blinked. He was so damn close. "But Maddie!" He yelled out, chasing after her. He heard the little kid's threat and rolled his eyes. Like he was afraid of the mayor. "Your a silly little boy, aren't you? Besides, your too young to understand what's going on here with me and Maddie." If he was his kid, he would have cuffed him in the gut. His kids would know not to talk back to him. They wouldn't even threaten him. Gaston faced Maddieonce more. "Maddie, think about your grandfather. I know you care about him. Date and marry me Maddie. Your grandfather will be taken care of. All you have to say is yes. Three little words. Maybe just a simple date?" He raised a brow. He was really trying to lure her in. "And chest hair is very attractive. It shows that you're a man."

Gaston waited for her answer. The girl was a fool for even saying no to him. The many things he can do for her was crazy. And yet, she said no to him. For someone who's been reading her books, she's dumb. Any other girl that he was going after would of said yes in a heart beat but no girl could match Maddie's beauty..yet.

”Oliver, come here? Please, I need you right now. Please? I – I can’t do this on my own. Maybe… maybe it’s nothing. I might just be stupid. Oliver…”

Oliver didn't like seeing Ana like this. He'd never seen or even heard her like this. Sure, she'd panicked about things before. Especially when they first started sneaking about. "What if we get caught?" "What if someone sees us?" "What about my father?" But he had no problem with that kind of panic. That was over silly things, things they could both handle. Being...late was much more serious. And from the looks of it, neither of them were going to be able to handle this. Especially not alone.

Almost hesitantly, Oliver walked quietly over to where Ana was hugging herself on the bed. He sat down beside her and pulled her into his chest. He felt he should say something, but what? It was too soon to talk about what they would do if she was. Hell, it would always be too soon for that. Oliver never saw himself having a family, too afraid that he'd be as bad as his parents were to him. The nineteen year old had never voiced that to anyone before, except for the one time he was drunk and talking to Grayson.

Oliver held Ana in his arms, staring at the two of them in her mirror. She wasn't crying, at least not yet. It wouldn't surprise him if she started again. All he could hope for was that she wouldn't. In most aspects, Oliver wasn't exactly boyfriend material. He hated when she cried, he hated the panicky parts, and of course, his drugs. And yet, the two of them survived and made things work. If there was an award for 'Most Unlikely Couple' it would be for them. "Ana, just...just calm down. I'm here," he said, his voice strained with stress kicking in. Why weren't those pills kicking in? They better not have just been sugar pills. If Dox had swindled him, Oliver would be one unhappy customer. He needed something, anything. And he had left his cigarettes at his uncle's out of respect for Ana.

"We'll figure something out. Just..." He had the feeling he was going to be the one calling the shots right now. Ana was freaking out, she was a mess. "We'll go now. Get it over with. Sound okay?" He winced at his words, but they were true. Why put it off? If she wasn't, then they could go about their planned weekend.

Mrs.Potts, also known as Valerie Adele Potts, was fixing up lunch. She was wearing a simple black dress that reached to her knees, a thick pink fashion belt around her waist and pink pumps. Her nails were pink too. Her hair was long and curly, wearing a pink headband. She was also wearing a apron. Her little son, Chip, was off at school. Mrs. Potts sighed as she was making a nice and thick stew, chopping carrots. She knew that Grayson was off somewhere. But where? She didn't know and she was worried. 'I always tell that Grayson to call me every hour. He knows I worry about him."

Mrs. Potts looked around and once the stew was going, she took off her apron, not taking it anymore. She was going to find Grayson. But first, she had to call him. She called him on her cellphone, waiting for him to answer as she got her coat on and scarf. She had on a black trench coat as she left the door, grabbing her purse. Mrs. Potts was the caretaker for the boy. "Come on and answer, master Grayson." She sighed as she sat in her car.

Ana tried to take deep breaths, but she wasn’t sure they were doing anything to help. She still felt hysterical, and she couldn’t help it. Her entire life she’d been the good girl. Perfect grades, perfect manners. She listened to her parents. She never got in trouble at school. Never a detention. No drugs, no wild parties, no alcohol. And then she met Oliver. While Ana didn’t regret going with him persay, she’d had a lot of firsts with him, and not all of them were pleasant. Though she didn’t like to admit it, she knew she wasn’t daddy’s little girl anymore, and that was before… this.

What was going to happen next? She didn’t know, she just didn’t. Oliver came and sat next to her before pulling her up against him. Ana squirmed a bit, then rest her head against his chest. He still smelled like smoke, but there was something else under it. Something that she didn’t have a name for, but knew was just so Oliver. It helped calm her down and she managed to stave off crying for a bit longer. And then a bit longer and then she didn’t want to cry any more. Ana wasn’t okay though, not really. She felt more… defeated. Exhausted.

Finally she pulled away and then leaned back in to press a kiss to his cheek. ”There’s a CVS on the corner. We can walk there.” Ana moved like she was going to get off the bed, but her first attempt to stand ended with her falling right back on the bed. She tried again and this time her legs supported her. ”Thanks. For staying,” she told Oliver. Ana hadn’t been sure that he was going to stay, and she was glad he decided to. She was more than aware they weren’t out of the woods yet, but at least he was still next to her. For now.

”Let’s get this over with, like you said. I don’t want to stress out if it’s nothing.” And she didn’t want to stress out if it was something. Her dark eye flit over his face for a moment, then she reached out her hand. ”C’mon,” she said. Ana tried to smile, but she couldn’t. Not so soon. ”We can do this, right?” Ana wasn’t sure what she was talking about: getting to the store, taking the test, or what might come after. She wasn’t sure she wanted to know.

Maddie was still reeling over Gaston and the way he acted. She could deal with him being a pig, but to do it around Cooper and Alice? They may be young, but Cooper's intelligence hadn't escaped her notice. And Alice, though a bit of an odd girl, wasn't as dumb as people thought. She had her way of insight. Speaking of Cooper...The thirteen year old was following behind her, calling for her. She stopped walking and noticed that Alice was not far behind him. "Those two...they're practically inseparable." "Important? Cooper, really if something's wrong you can tell me. Maybe we should go to Auryon. What do you think?" she asked, her voice concerned and brow slightly furrowed.

Poor Cooper didn't get the chance just yet, due to Gaston once again interrupting them. Madeline sighed, sounding exasperated. Why wouldn't he just give up!

"Maddie, think about your grandfather. I know you care about him. Date and marry me Maddie. Your grandfather will be taken care of. All you have to say is yes. Three little words. Maybe just a simple date? And chest hair is very attractive. It shows that you're a man."

Madeline groaned. "Gaston, please! I can take care of myself and my grandfather without you. I get by just fine. And there is absolutely nothing attractive or manly about having a carpet on your chest. If you think otherwise, then maybe you should rethink which sex you're attracted to." She wasn't stupid. No matter how much she tried to bring him down, Gaston would just keep coming back for more. It was becoming apparent that giving him that one date would be the only way to get rid of him for good. "Look. If I go one, just one date with you, will you leave me alone?"

[Gaston snarled some at what she said. However, he felt victorious of course when she agreed. But to one date only. He just smugly grinned. "Alright, Maddie. It's a deal." However, his toes were crossed. Plus,on the date, she would be begging for another one. A plan was already forming in his head to getting the girl. "Going to pick you up at 6 tonight. Dress nice." He grinned. He plucked a rose from a bush and handed it to her. "I will you pick you up at your house. Sounds good?" He was leaning against his car now, feeling so good right now. He was never going to leave her alone until he had her. And he will get her. Unless, someone who was prettier then she was got in his way. But for now, it would be Maddie and only Maddie.

Gaston didn't know why he was so attracted to her. maybe it was because she ignored his advances. Gaston knew however, it was her beauty. She was so beautiful. Gaston wondered if she wa splaying him however. No matter. He would arrive on horseback.

Oliver tried to offer her a smile as she kissed his cheek. But all he could muster was a slight twitch of the corner's of his mouth. "Right. Let's go then." Though he had said let's go, Oliver didn't make to move from the bed. Ana on the other hand did. He watch as she tried to stand but her legs gave out. Acting upon reflex, Oliver leaned over and shot an arm out to steady her as she fell back onto the bed. "Woah!" She tried again and managed to keep standing. That was good. But still, Oliver would watch as they made their trek down to the corner just in case her legs gave out again.

                      ”Thanks. For staying,”

Oliver nodded as he got up from the bed himself. "No problem." Ana would never know the thought had cross his mind for but a brief moment. If he ran out on her, he'd be proving everyone right about him. And he wouldn't go down that easily. Oliver gave her a grim smile, or at least something close to a smile, and took her hand in his, running his thumb over the back of her hand. He was trying to be comforting but lord was it hard when he was freaking out just as much on the inside. If it was one thing he'd learned with bouncing around so much as a kid, it was to not show too much emotion. If he showed fear of his father when he was on one of his binges, it resulted in a smack or some other form of punishment. Oliver was thankful he was able to keep this inside. If he showed how he was really feeling, if he started screaming out loud rather than in his mind, how would Ana feel?

                      ”We can do this, right?”

Another nod was his response. He jerked his head towards the door and started towards it, leading Ana. Oliver stayed quiet while they walked. He wasn't sure of his voice, and he was afraid he'd say something he'd regret. Like his fears he'd fought in the bathroom. They were still there, in the back of his mind. And Oliver was trying to ignore them. When they reached the CVS, Oliver stopped walking. A thought had occurred to him. If Ana went in there to buy the test, wouldn't she be recognized? Or at least run the chance? This was her neighborhood after all, and most people knew her father. "s**t." Oliver released her hand and ran his through his hair again. A habit when he was unsure of things, or stressed. "Ana you can't...I'll....I'll go in." he said, biting the bullet. "You might...you might be seen."

                          "Alright, Maddie. It's a deal."

Madeline held back her grimace and tried to give him a smile instead. She managed to, but boy was it forced. She took the rose gingerly so that she wouldn't p***k her finger on one of it's thorns. "Sounds good, Gaston. Oh, ah. I can't be too long of a date. I've got a shift at the pub tonight at nine." Madeline would throw herself to the wolves to get him off her back, but if it meant missing her shift and not being able to help out her grandfather it was out of the question. "I'll see you at six then. Are we done here?"

Madeline was hoping that yes, they were done. She checked the time on her watch. It was nearing 4:30pm now, and if she was expected to go out on a date and work afterwards, she'd have to get home and start getting ready. What was she even supposed to wear on a date she didn't want to be on? She could dress ready for her shift. That would be sure to piss off Gaston. But then, if she made the date hell and didn't fulfill his expectations, would he really leave her alone. She sighed, defeated. Maddie was going to have to make this date seem perfect if she wanted him to buzz off.

[Gaston grinned. "All done here." He slipped into his car, feeling triumphant. He drove off, humming a tune that was always his theme song or mantra. Gaston made it back home and went into his room, seeing the people gone and his room clean. Gaston smirked. This was going to be a amazing date. Gaston instantly took his bath, knowing he had to look amazing for Maddie to fall for him. Gaston was feeling so pumped and ready to go. Plus, he was handsome. No one could resist him. Gaston was tired of this fighting. Maddie should give up and accept him.

Gaston got dressed in a tailcoat of black with a red tie. He wore black boots that reached to his calves. He made sure he looked amazing. He walked to his stable, seeing his giant, black horse. The horse roared with life at the sight of him. "Easy boy. We have a girl to impress." The horse huffed and Gaston got his horse ready, getting on top of it and grabbed it's reins. "Let's go and get the girl I am going to marry. Whether she likes it, or not."
She could just carry her and force her to marry him. That always worked. He trotted off, grinning darkly.

It will put in an awkward position while Cooper could talk to Madeline. "Hey when I grow up I want to marry someone like you." she made a aaaaah sound as stepping away from Gaston."Where does kids come from?" Alice asked playing dumb on Gaston, who apparently want to make Madeline life hell. But her efforts din't pay off as she thought they would, Madeline end up going on a date. She wait till Gaston was out of sight"Sorry Madeline, I try."Alice apologize in a low tone of voice.

Alice winked devilish. There was no way Gaston would dare to do something in front of a thirteen year old kid. Even if she wanted to help Mads with Gaston, Alice wanted to spend time by the Hat Shop. It have been forever since she have fun.

Did he really expect saying that woman’s name would really work? Yeah, I mean that woman was good at her job when she wasn’t clouded in what she was working on. The Huntsmen did let snow white go as he knew he shouldn’t kill her even if he was in love with the evil witch. Oddly the guy didn’t seem to fear that man, which he was stupid not too, even he feared the man called his father. No one should ever their parent, but once you found out they stole you and who they really was then you had a very good reason to fear them. Hell, even he didn’t fear Grayson the way he feared the man that at the moment was legally his parent right now. Oh, how he hoped that could change soon hopefully within months the curse would be lifted and life, well this life clearly wasn’t what meant for anyone. Sure, some things fell in place, but most of them were more miserable then they really should be, especially his friend Alice. No, the people around her really did care about her and that was what made her family, a family who accepted her oddness she gave out.

“I..Its nothing like that fully.” He said scratching his neck clearly was a little uncomfortable as Gaston came back before he could really talk. Okay, his cheeks did redden a little he wasn’t stupid in what they was talking about and just say he was happy the guy finally left. Did he like the idea of Maddie going on the date? No, not at all, she was supposed to be with Grayson! Grayson! Maybe, he could talk to him about trying to either set them up on a blind date or get Grayson to ask her out they really was good for each other. When Alice started speaking about going on the date he wondered if he could get Grayson to take him out for dinner. That idea would need to go away right now he really wanted to speak to Maddie. “Okay. This is going to sound unrealistic but,” He thought about pulling the book out but he stopped himself as he looked around he had no idea who worked for his ‘father’ or was the good guys. “Can we head to your house with you? I have something I want to show you and it makes sense if it’s more private.” He said as he looked to Maddie, the same light blue eyes seemed to look right up to her clearly it was important it wasn’t often he ever asked to go to her home. Her home…giving a shake of his head he looked to Alice for a moment and then back towards her.

It was selfish of her to freak out on Oliver. He had to be as scared as she was, if not more so. Neither of them were really ready to do this, but here they were. Still, he was doing a good job of seeming calm, and that was helping her out. Ana almost felt human, which was saying something right now. His thumb moved over the back of her hand and she closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths to feel it. That was… nice. She placed her free hand over his and squeezed lightly before letting her hand drop. Surely he wasn’t as okay as he felt – unless he was planning to bail? Ana nearly faltered at that. He wouldn’t leave like that, would he? If it was positive, would that be the last she saw of him?

She didn’t know what she’d do if that happened. This was her fault, she was stupid, but this wasn’t only her doing. Her breath hitched in her throat at that, and she felt the panic bubbling in her, but she forced her feet forward. One after the other, that was how you did it. Soon enough they were at the store, and she was about to go in before Oliver stopped her. "You might...you might be seen." Oh, right.

”Okay.” She really hadn’t wanted to go in the first place. Hell, she didn’t want to be doing any of this in the first place. ”I’ll be here then, I guess.” Ana wanted to tell him to stop. That she didn’t want to know. And she didn’t, she really did. But she let him go into the store and she looked across the mostly empty parking lot and wondered what was going to happen next. That was the thing, wasn’t it? What was going to happen to her, what he was going to do, if there really was something growing inside of her or not.

She wanted to run. And never stop. God, did Oliver feel the same? The only difference was, no matter how far she ran, this would still be her problem, but he could go. He could leave. It would be that simple for him. Hell, she’d do it – just to get away from her father. If he caught wind of this… no. She couldn’t afford to think about that. Ana leaned her back against the side of the building and then crumpled down. Oliver wouldn’t be long. He couldn’t be.

Watching you dress as you turn down the lights
I forget all about the storm outside
Dark clouds roll their way over town
Heartache and pain came a-pouring down

Oliver half expected Ana to stop him. He didn't want to go in there and buy...what they needed. Couldn't she stop him? Couldn't she go instead? Oliver would even rather abandon this mission and go back to her house to pretend everything was alright. Why did Ana tell him? Why did he have to push at her to tell him what was bothering her? Oliver sighed and swallowed a lump in his throat. He had never thought the day he'd need to buy a pregnancy test would come. "Right. I'll uh. I'll be right...back." He stuffed his hands into his pockets and entered through the automatic doors.

The store was cool due to air conditioning. Oliver thought it odd. Sure, it was warming up and it was spring but air conditioning already? He was only really thinking about this because he was trying to not think about what he was here to buy. Oliver walked up and down aisles, taking his time. Not really looking for them, but looking at the same time. He was hoping to stumble upon them on his own rather than have to ask for help. As Oliver turned to walk up the fourth aisle, he noticed the cashier looking at him suspiciously. He tried to smile at the woman, but his nervousness showed through. Probably didn't help her suspicions but Oliver couldn't control this. Not this time. Not with Ana not around. With her waiting outside, he could show his panic on the outside, if only for a few measly moments.

Finally he found the tests. His eyes widened as he looked at the shelf in horror and disbelief. There were so many different brands! How was he supposed to pick one? Oliver started to panic. What if he picked the wrong kind? How could he do this? It's not like he was going to ask for help. [******** it." Oliver swiftly grabbed one of each kind of test and carried them to the register. He dumped them in a pile on the counter and fished out his wallet to pay for them. As the cashier rang him out and put them in bags, she eyed him. Oliver could feel her judging him and had to look away. Instead he looked at the candy. He grabbed a few kit kats and a packet of starburst for himself. Ana loved Kit Kats. Hopefully they would make her smile. "These too," he muttered. He paid for them and was in so much of a hurry to get out of the store he almost forgot to get his change. "Have a nice day," she said in an unconvincing tone. It was like she was saying 'I hope that test is positive'.

Oliver practically ran from the store. Thank god that was over. Oliver carried the bags in one hand and grabbed Ana's hand with his other. "Let's get out of here."

Madeline groaned as Gaston drove off. If this didn't get him to leave her be then she doubted nothing would. She smiled though, at Alice's offer to go on the date with her. She even chuckled slightly. "No, but thank you Alice. I'll be fine. Really." Maddie turned to lok at the two children. "So, what is it you want to talk to me about?"

“Can we head to your house with you? I have something I want to show you and it makes sense if it’s more private.”

Cooper's request took her by surprise. She'd always treated the boy different from other kids in town, but to bring him to her house? He was the mayor's son! How would Mayor Nelson feel about that? "Cooper...I don't know about that. People might think...bad if I took you home with me." Madeline didn't want that. She had a good reputation around town. Or well, sort of at least. She was thought odd for her childish dreams and love of books but it was hardly a bad reputation to her. "Isn't there somewhere else we can go?" No. If they went somewhere else, she'd run late on getting ready for work and her date. It wasn't that far off. She could always ask if they could meet another day, somewhere more public yet private just the same. But Cooper sounded so...needy and urgent. How could she say no to that? Madeline sighed and shook her curls about. "Alright, fine. Come along you two. I need to get ready for tonight so...this can't be too long."

Madeline placed a hand on Cooper's shoulder and gave him a warm smile. She took off then towards the pub, leading the two children along. When she got there, she opened the door and allowed them to head up the stairs before her. "Granddad! I'm home, but I'll be in my room. I've got some company." "Oh? Company? Would it be that Gaston?" he called back, rounded the corner to lay eyes on his granddaughter, Cooper, and Alice. Madeline grimaced as the old man asked about Gaston. Why did everyone find him so damn charming but her? "Oh! Well hello there little ones. Can I get anyone a snack or something?" Maddie smiled at her grandfather. He wouldn't question what was going on there. "Maybe when they're leaving. Cooper and Alice have something they'd like to talk to me about and I don't have much time. I er, have a, um, date at six." "A date? With who?" he asked, waggling his eyes. For such an old man, he was quite the nosy Nancy.

Madeline coughed slightly. "With uh...with...Gaston," she muttered. "Oh finally Madeline! You've made him wait too long for this! He's such a nice young fellow." She winced at his reaction. Of course he thought those things. Everyone did. "Yeah. Nice. Anyways, better get moving. I have too much to do this evening." "You know, you don't have to work your shift tonight." Yes. Yes she did. It was her excuse to have just a short date with Gaston. Madeline only smiled at the old man and lead Cooper and Alice away to her room. Once inside, she offered them a seat on her bed while she sat in her favorite arm chair by the window. "Alright you two. What's so important?"
