The clouds overhead seemed soothing and calm in motion, hardly shifting as they drift across the sky, even though the day seemed bearable, the lack of wind created a slight humidity. This made the day feel somewhat lazy, not a great day for introductions as new students were bound to not be listening as the important information came by. As the introduction went into its final speach of the dance thats yet to come. A student could be seen laying upon the campus green, between most of the buildings, back against a tree as the shade would cool him slightly, for little it would do upon this day.

Ice blue hues partly hidden by lowered eyelids would slide back and forth across the white emptiness of this young man's eyes, a book in hand, looking somewhat tattered as it had been held together with all manner of bonding agents to keep the cover from decaying and the pages from falling apart. A stretched out stripped sweater of brown and black covered most of his upper body, torn and tattered in places either showed its age or simply how active he was as a person, or maybe even that it was a hand-me-down from a family member. A tail patted the grown next to him in a Metronome-like fashion, it was covered in short blonde fur, as the tip was covered in a tuft of brown hair. A sweater covered hand holding a mechanical pencil scribbled and dotted upon the book before him, using a single knee as a means of a rest for the book. Dirty blonde hair framed the first year's face with wavy and untamed locks, his face held a maturity about it as a small amount of facial hair was growing upon his chin, the rest of his face seemed well kept in most respects.

Sedrick was an adopted child, he didn't know much about his real parents but according to records they were either marked as dead or missing, causing him not to feel much resentment about his situation. His foster family was fairly normal, They loved him and raised him as best they could, considering he was their "only child" due to their own inability to conceive a child of their own, this led to him being fairly spoilt. That was until his abilities were brought into their light, he was quickly shunned, but in an indirect way, causing neglect as he turned thirteen years of age. Needless to say he came here by choice when given the chance, he didn't have all that much to bring either, simple items, accept for his vast mess of computers, spare wires, basic welding kit for computer chips and mother-boards, metal slabs, the usual requirements for building something one shouldn't. Of course a fair bit of this was taken from him upon arriving, mainly because it couldn't fit into his room, especially with the thought of sharing it.

Sedrick had only stayed in the registry till they had finished giving out the information that was needed, after they started talking about school "Activities" he had left the hall, simply knowing where he had to go was all he needed to know about. He never was one to go to dances, it required too much effort on his part, even though he could likely find a friendly group to socialize with here, he was still in the mindset of accepting the lonely aspect of being "special". The pencil led snapped, causing Sedrick's eyes to widen momentarily as he simply stared at the book. After a few moment he would lower his head slightly, sighing heavily as he would close the book, sliding the pencil within the binding coil of the spine of the book. His body slumped as he slid further down the trunk of the tree. Finally his head rested at the roots, glancing up at the canopy as the light would work its way through the leaves. "Its far too calm today..." he muttered to himself, an Irish tint glossing his words as they sounded deep, likely from his current lack of energy. ~What should I do....~ These thoughts danced about his head for a while as he simply laid there, his tail patting the ground constantly, that same pace remained.

((This is alright... right?))

avalie grace jacobs
      marvel's one and only magnet

This morning had begun with a lot of argumentation with her mother over the school’s procedures. “You can’t just expect things to be the same as last year, Avalie. Are you really going to wear that? At least change your shoes. Are you all packed? Let me see. Oh, you aren’t wearing that old dress again are you?! No, let’s go out real quick and get you a new one. It’s a masquerade, isn’t it? Well if you wear the same thing as last year you’ll be recognized.”

Right now, she lay on a picnic table halfway in the shade, dozing behind her sunglasses. In her ears, her headphones buzzed music behind some minor crackling sounds (effects of the magnetism, which is why she had crappy technology: there was no point in throwing away the money) low, so she could still hear if something were to arise. Things seemed calm enough at the moment however. She had all her things sitting in her room, awaiting the stunningly boring chore of unpacking. Hopefully, she’d have a better roommate than last year. Avalie shuddered at the very existence of Miranda Lopert: the shrinking girl with the growing ego. The girl would stick all kinds of metals to Avalie, despite her requests to stop, and there were many a time that she’d steal her things. A punch to the teeth set her straight, though got our magnetic-friend into a bit of trouble. Miranda was a bully anyway: she deserved it.

When Avalie was a kid, growing up with three older brothers in a sports-centric family, a fight was normal. Her father would be proud, as would her brothers, and that would upset her mother. At the time, her powers had been well known. After she turned seven, she promised not to fight if she could help it, but before that, she was ruthless. Her mothers’ idea of punishment was sticking her to the refrigerator: a giant, squirming, screaming magnet. It wasn’t as fun as it sounded, and that was probably because Avalie had detested her ability ever since she was stuck to a passing minivan and almost got separated from her family at the Super Bowl. She spent the next years trying to keep off the radar, picking spoons off her butt during school, and keeping far away from wherever the stapler and pile of paper clips were. That was before this school, at least. Computer class was always a pain, though, no matter what. Magnets and technology just didn’t mix.

Her foot tapped in time with her music in the air, and it wasn’t her preferred way of passing the time. Honestly, she’d much rather be doing anything else but sitting around (a side effect of growing in a too-active family), but she found little enjoyment in wandering the halls of the school. She knew where almost everything was anyway. And it wasn’t like her to spend hours getting ready for the masquerade. She went last year, danced with some people, slapped a guy for squeezing her a**, and then sat and sipped punch until it was time to shove out. Avalie was currently toying with the idea of skipping the event all together. It was either that (which would probably be done by pretending to be sick) or just avoids people in general by hanging towards the back: the typical place for those without dance partners to hang out.

With a huff, Avalie sat up, turning to sit upright, stretching her legs out before her. Her neck hurt, and she blamed it on that stupid bus that she had to ride all the way up here. Why her mother insisted on making her pay for a bus when she could just drive her only daughter here was beyond Avalie. It was bound to smell better, and it would be easier for the blonde to take a nap if she so wish it. But no, her mother would rather give up the nine dollars and the last four hours that she had with her daughter until school was out. Slouching against the wood of the table, Avalie yawned with a mixture of fatigue and boredom, idly tapping her shoes in the grass.

Aside from the actual explosion in her house that morning, it was just like last year, and the year before. The usual commotion from the two parental figures wasn’t misplaced, if a bit redundant as their daughter knew perfectly well where she was going and what to expect. “You know Mama,” Jezebel began, grabbing the potted orchid out of the light haired woman’s hands and placing it on the table, “I don’t need to take flowers. That’s kind of the whole point.” With a wave of her hand, Jezebel caused the orchid to bloom. The woman beamed at her daughter and was about to say a caring I know, when they both heard a gigantic boom and rushed to the basement.

“Mom, holy s**t.” Was all Jezebel could say with the vulgar mouth she had gotten from the woman, standing with her hip cocked to the side. Their basement was full of machines, plants, beakers and formulas. It was converted to a laboratory for her mothers’ research. Jezebel stood now watching her mother, Andreya, rush over to the dark haired woman now covered in soot and ash. “Well that’s no good.” Was all the dark haired woman could say before she was viciously hugged and kissed by Andreya. Jezebel’s parents, Doctors Andreya (Mama) and Isadora (Mom)Hawthorn had been married for over twenty years now, were both scientists and lived with their daughter Jezebel, on a farm in the middle of nowhere, about three hours away from Toronto Ontario, Canada. While the young lady had never known any other life, she wouldn’t trade this world for anything. Not that she could if she wanted too. Before she was born her mothers had created an experiment, which had eventually resulted in her powers. Both women were very smart, Isadora a botanist and Andreya a biologist and had experimented on Isadora, giving her the ability to communicate with plants. A bit of tinkering (a lot of tinkering) and a sperm donor later and Jezebel was born with more power than any of them could have expected.

Now this scientific breakthrough was actually not as beautiful as you might think. Both Andreya and Isadora were wanted for acts of eco-terrorism. Not that the public, or hey, even the government, knew any of their real names. If you really wanted to get technical, Dryad was actually a terrorist weapon created for destructive acts of environmentalism. However, the way her parents treated her was anything but. She loved her family, which was more she could say about anyone else. Her family was one with the earth and the world was a piece of s**t for treating her plants the way they did. While the government funded projects for her parents to make life more Eco-friendly, the three women plotted the downfall of the logging industry. It might not be family game night, but it was a bonding experience none-the-less. The reason Jezebel was so messed up was because she was raised by two almost super villains. This had never bothered Jezebel, and she doubt it ever would.

Now, 9 am explosions aside, Jezebel’s trip back to school was uneventful. She helped clean off her mother and after reminding them that she could indeed take care of herself, she was on her way. The young goth girl had picked out a dangerous outfit for the first day back and scoffed as she stepped out of car while a man in a suit held the door open for her. Did she forget to mention government funding made them very wealthy? If there was something more stupid than government suits, Jezebel didn’t know. Her heels clicked as she walked up the familiar path to the front of the school. She flipped up her sunglasses, frowning at the clouds above and stared down a few passing freshmen. The deadly flower of Zuda had returned, and the trees and plants around her could tell. At least this place understood the beauty of flora. The summer had been relatively interesting, a few attacks on major companies and even a seduction and murder of a CEO (Jezebel preferred to call this a summer fling, which made her mothers frown). Looking up at the dorm rooms she rolled her eyes. Last year her roommate requested a transfer immediately. Seemed she didn’t like how Jezebel decorated her half of the room and by decorated, she of course meant that she covered her entire side of the room with flowers and vines, turning it into a forest. Her second roommate was quiet, Lana, and seemed fine with the flowers. They barely spoke.

Jezebel passed by people lounging all about the school grounds, most of them not being freshmen (all those morons were busying being told to calm the ******** down already in the auditorium). Obviously this group of freshmen walking up to her had no idea who she was and what was about to happen when they stepped in front of her. “Hello hot spooky chick.” One of the boys very obviously looked at her up and down. “So masquerade. You. Me. What do you say?” Now he wasn’t the worst looking guy to hit on her, but that wasn’t saying much. “Well this is just sad.” She yawned, her hand lazily waving on the ground as thick tree roots made their way through the concrete path and coiled around the boys’ legs and up their torsos. They struggled for a moment as she walked around them, leaving them there with a grin on her face. She had no time for teenage hormones. They’d learn, as most did, that she was not to be messed with. She wasn't even sure she had time for masquerade dances. Sure, she had bought a dress, but she had promised her mothers she would continue her research and experiments with her powers. Her heels clicked and her hips swayed in her tight skirt as she made her way to the dorms, and to her assigned room.

She threw her belongings on her bed and looked at the familiar boring dorm room. This was a quick fix as she began covering her side with vines, flowers, ivy, fruit baring trees and any other plant she fancied. Soon one half of the room was bare, while the other was a miniature jungle, which was just how she liked it. Figuring she’d unpack later, she opened the window to let the humidity in for her plants. The girl sat down on her now leaf covered bed and folded out the papers she was handed as she entered the dorms. Her roommate’s name was Sedrick Rekt, a feral. Well that was new. Her first year roommate was a female Psionic (a bunch of bullshit that girl was), and last year was a two female Elementals. She had never roomed with a male before, but she didn’t mind. They’d see each other in their underwear and get over it, Jezebel hoped. She just prayed to whatever god was out there that she was not stuck with the boy who’s feet were currently entangled in roots. That would be miserable.

                                                        Quote:

Here she was. Head down, looking at her sneakers. They were purple, with blue trimmings. The laces were black and double knotted. Her head pulled back to take in the view. It was that time again. To get information and all that jazz. Dixie was new to this university. The one she was in before was alright. She wanted a better chance at big money. Once she caught wind of this place, immediately she registered. The chance for some cushy government job was always good. It's better then using the five finger discount. A small sigh released from her lips as she walked into the room where the information was being held. What was it called ? She thought about for a moment then saw a poster telling her exactly what she wanted. Oh, um,...auditorium. Yeah, that sounds right. Such a dumbass She walked in to the auditorium. Dixie didn't stand out that much. She wore basically pale colors, that bright s**t made her skin look sick. Her hair was tied up into a messy bun, she was wearing her purple reading glasses on top of her head, in case this place had some kind of manual or terms of agreement. The only makeup she was wearing was chap stick. She wore a sliver bracelet as her jewelry. The rest of her outfit was rather plain, a large navy blue hooded jacket, a purple tank top with the ying yang symbol and torn out jeans. She carried a backpack and suitcase with wheels, around with her.

Dixie looked for some kind of table, for her information. A banner with the word " Zuda" crudely painted on it. That sounded about right. She strolled over to the table, they asked for her name and class. She was then given a piece of paper and key. Dixie wandered the hallways until she was able to find her dorm room. “Room 2.” She stared at the door, now at the knob. She unlocked the door and plopped herself on a bed. “Finders keepers loser weepers.” Dixie thought she had the better bed, it was closer to the window and under the air vent. She let out a yawn, she got off the bed to unpack her things. The bed sheets were blue, and the one opposite to her was pink. She rolled her eyes at the gender orientated sheets. She pulled hers off and switched them with the one in her bag, purple sheets and warm colored blankets. The spare blankets she now had were thrown into the closet. Her clothes, underwear and other things were shoved into the dresser. A piece of red fabric stuck out. It was a part of the dress she was thinking of wearing for this little ‘get together. ’ Dixie wasn’t sure about going now. All she wanted was a little rest after taking all those bus rides to get here.

It didn’t help that her roommate in her apartment room, back in Los Angles made a mask for her to wear to match with her dress. It was a red sequin devil mask, with horns and fangs. It wasn’t her style or personality, but Miranda was one of those people who had a problem with the word no. Miranda of course didn’t know about the university or it’s actually intentions. She didn’t have abilities like Dixie, but that was okay. She was a good enough friend to rent her half of the room and spend some money over to Dixie every once in a while. Dixie stretched her arms out and let out a burp instead of a yawn. She was disgusted with herself, and glad that no one was around to hear. Her face grew red and faded once she looked back at that piece of her dress. She bite her lip. Maybe I should go, she thought about it maybe once or twice until she walked out of her room. Her decision was now to look for anyone else in this dorm. Maybe she might meet someone who knows what is going on.

~Zuda's Very Own Drunkard~

Humanoid Lion Form

Partial Transformation

+~-------------------------------{Location:~CampusZuda Dorms~}-------------------------------~+

Sedrick would simply lay their for the time being, lazily gazing upward towards the tree's branches, the altering colours of the leaves creating yet another soothing aspect to this spot, at least until the recognizable noise of students moving from the building that the introduction was being held. Sedrick's eyes scrunched shut as his ears twitched to the noise, he rolled to his side as he sighed heavily, he couldn't get the quiet he once had here any longer; sadly this brought on the fact that he'd have to move again, an idea that didn't sit well with him right now. With one very large and reluctant sigh he would swing his body into an upright seated position, looking towards the crowds of students streaming from the auditorium, he grumbled to himself as he picked himself up. Tail agitatedly swiping back and forth as he held his book under his right arm, a hand sunk into the long shorts back pocket, pulling out a small hip flask as he undid the lid with his teeth, flipping the small catch as he would gulp down a mouthful of its contents. He crumpled his face slightly before relieving a light gasp, flicking the lid shut once more.

"Would go better with some Iron Brew... will have to grab some when I can..." He shook his head slightly, he didn't know the school policies upon drinking, but where he was from, he was of age to drink legally, although he doubted that meant much here if the rules were against it. He shrugged the idea off, no point threating about it till he's confronted about it, he would screw the top on tight and slip it back within his back pocket. He walked around bare footed, most of the time, and today was no different, it didn't seem he was wearing much else but that large stripped jumper and the long shorts if for nothing else but decency. He began to walk towards his designated dorm, wanting to go to his room before being caught in the rush of the students for the masquerade preparations.

It didn't take him long to make his way to the dorms, but along the way he saw a set of vines that had been cut apart, the strange thing was it didn't seem natural for the vines to grow where they were with nothing to support them. He shrugged it off quite quickly, knowing where he was it was probably some of the other students fooling around with their abilities. Although the thought of this only made Sedrick think about his own abilities, and the fact that they can't be that amazing compared to some of the people here, he's a little surprised he was even accepted with that thought in mind. He would shoulder barge the door open, a couple of students looking towards him as he entered but he wasn't bothered, he was already very used to be stared at, the only difference is that everyone here was "special" so perhaps to them he was normal? If someone could even use that word in such a place.

He slipped past the other students within the hallway, left hand within his pocket as his right still held his book tight, as he made his way through the first few double doors leading to the dorm rooms of Zuda He noticed a girl shutting the door to her room as he entered. He would glance at her for a moment through his dirty blonde hair, not really thinking much of it he would walk towards Room One. He wasn't particularly within a mindset to deal with others at the moment, unless he completely had to, although the young lady seemed from first glance nice enough, he'd rather not have such a lazy day brought down by a bad encounter, especially upon the first day.

Chloe stood silently between the school and her older brother, Lucas, who was nervously toying with his sweater. He was the only normal being around, or so it seemed. Chloe sighed lightly before turning to face him. He smiled, although he seemed anxious. "Are you sure this is a good school?" he asked, looking around. "It looks kind of creepy to me." Chloe watched him for a small moment before setting her sights on the freshman like herself that had abilities that were amazing, skillful or even frightening. She seemed to fit in nicely. She was dangerous herself, but only externally. "Yeah, I think I'll be fine." she replied with a quick smile. "Besides, aren't you supposed to be the strong one? You are the oldest." she teased. Lucas rolled his eyes before he opened his arms and embraced his little sister. He hated to let her go into the hands of a strange school. Of course, it was only strange to him since he was just a normal person with a normal boring life. Chloe had a unique gift, and perhaps he was right to let her stay and learn here. Maybe she would be more proud of herself and see herself in a new way. Chloe wrapped her arms around Lucas and buried herself into him. She would miss him, but she always missed him no matter where she was. She could be at the store and find herself missing his company. He was the only person who accepted her these days. Lucas let go reluctantly, and kissed her forehead. "You remembered your dress right? The one for the masquerade tonight?" Chloe nodded, and her brothers eyes lit up in approval. "Don't skip the dance and don't wear it. You'll miss your chance at being the center of attention." Chloe couldn't help the blush that grew on her cheeks. He had so much faith in her it was sometimes startling. Chloe gave him one last hug and said goodbye. She didn't like long goodbyes. It made it harder to let go.

The school was a busy place, and it made Chloe feel squished. What she really needed was to find her room and lock herself in it. Being around people wasn't the best place for her, but she knew that she had to go through people to get to the silence. She wasn't always withdrawn and quiet. There was a time she was bubbly and outgoing, but that was before she turned her mother into an emotional vegetable. It took years to take all the emotions away, and at the time Chloe thought she was doing the right thing. When her mother was sad, she would touch her and the emotion would vanish. At the time, she felt that if she took away her mothers pain things would be better. She kept doing it. Her mothers anger, depression, sadness gave Chloe energy, but it wore her mother down - quickly. The only emotion left to take from her was her happiness. Chloe didn't want to take it, but she was so weak. She hungered for one huge boost of energy, and her mother was the closest person to Chloe's touch. Now, her mother sits in a wheelchair in a mental hospital, and stares out a window all day and night because she doesn't know what else to do. She couldn't get bored with it, or upset with it, she could only be.

The energy of her mothers emotions haven't left her yet, and she's just waiting for the day where she gets out of control again. Of course, she could get energy from anyone at anytime, but she doesn't need it. She doesn't want it either.

Since she had forgotten the copy of her classes and dorm number at home, she retrieved another from the office and looked it over. She was in Room 1, and the paper suggested that she would have a room mate. She didn't try to let it bother her. Perhaps her room mate would enjoy her silent and reserved behavior. Chloe exited the office, and made her way through the crowd towards her room. As she did, she began to think about the dance that was going on that night. She had pretty good feeling that she wouldn't be asked, but perhaps that was a good thing. She was afraid that she would fall for the guy that took her, and then her emotions would run wild. She didn't want to think about losing control with someone she cared about. Perhaps that's why she didn't fit into any of the other houses. She wasn't in Marvel because she did horrible things to people, but she wasn't apart of the stereotypical Zuda house because on the inside she wasn't a horrible person. It was obvious Charleton was the best place for her.

Chloe followed hallways until she reached Room 1 in Charleton, and realized that her room mate had already arrived, considering the door was just slightly ajar. She sighed silently, and slowly made her way into her room. "I'm sorry to bother you but, I would be your room mate." she said as she entered, dragging her suitcase in behind her. She didn't bother to look up; she needed to make sure her suitcase handle didn't break off. It did that sometimes.

Athena drummed her fingers on the steering wheel as she drove down the road. Stopping at a red light she sighed as she could see the school in the far off distance. She was so close to that place she could taste it. that place was so unlike normal school. her first year she had bitched about going. Complaining about how she had just gotten out of a school and now she was going to another one. But her mother never understood her gift. Truth be told, she feared her and her sister. But that was mostly her fault. When Athena was a teenager she got into a fight with her father. back and forth, and back and forth they fought, until the fateful words, "Just go die!" left her mouth. That day, her father killed himself. And when they figured out Athena had that power, everyone knew it was her fault. Athena was never the same after that. But she learned to control her power as she spent years in the school. Now, those accidents have not happened since. Sighing slightly as she glared at the light she just decided to go through it. Stepping onto the gas she sped through, making sure she didn't hit any cars that were driving past. A smile spread across the blonde's face as she drove down the road. But her smile was soon gone as soon as she heard the familiar sound of police sirens.

Sighing, she found an empty spot and pulled over, drumming her fingers on the steering wheel once more she waited. The sound of footsteps on the hard pavement sounded through the air, and announced the presence of the man who was now standing on the other side of the window beside her. "license and registration please." He said, as he looked down at her. Athena just looked at him before speaking. "I did nothing. Just turn around, get back in your car, and drive away." she said clearly. making sure the man could hear every single word. A couple seconds passed before the man turned on his heel and made his way back to his car, stepping back inside and driving off. A smile spread across the blonde's face before she grabbed her cellphone from her purse, that was placed on the passenger seat. Pulling out her cellphone she cycled through her contacts before she found her sister and sent her a text. Pressing send, she dropped it back in her purse and turned her car engine on once more. listening to the soft purr of the engine before driving back onto the road and on towards the school and her destination.

                                                        To: Angel
                                                        From: Athena
Hey. Are you on your way to the school yet?

As she pulled into the long gravel driveway of the school she smiled. making her way all the way through until she reached the parking lot. Finding an empty spot that was thankfully close to the place she shut off her car and stepped out, her heels clacking on the ground as she made her way to the back of her car, inserting her key into the trunk and pulled out her bags, placing them gently on the ground before she slammed her trunk. Balancing all her bags, she walked towards the main building where she would pick up her packet and then she could actually head to the Zuda dorm. She couldn't help but wonder who she would be rooming with this year. She hoped it was someone interesting. Last year she had been stuck with someone boring, the only interesting thing he ever did was try to hit on her. Walking along the campus she looked around at everyone around her and tried to pinpoint people she knew. Well, people she knew and that she actually liked. Seeing no one right away she made her way to the table and gave her most innocent smile to the person behind the table. it appeared to be a first year that had volunteered. He looked up at her and froze for a few seconds before he fumbled through his words, trying to get something out. Athena just looked down at the packets scattered on the table and picked hers off the table and walked off.

Looking down at the paper as she walked, she flipped to the section about her room number and room mate. "Room three, Jericho." she said softly, a grin spreading across her face. Jericho was a second year. But she had heard of him, and she knew this was going to be an interesting room predicament. Turning her vision back to the area in front of her she walked through the campus, the Zuda dorm in her vision. Her heels clacked against the stone steps as she made her way into the building. Walking up down the halls with her bags she passed a girl who she didn't quite recognize. Walking over to her room she released her bags and unlocked her door. Making her way into the room she parked her bags near the better bed and plopped herself down on it. She wasn't going to unpack anything yet. the only thing she did hang up with the dress she had laid across the top of one of her suitcase in one of those dress bags. she hung it up in her closet and smiled. that was for tonight. There was no way she was missing this party. she just had to figure out who she was going to hang with when she was there. hearing her phone beep she pulled her cellphone out and smiled at the message from her sister. She walked over to the window by her bed and opened it before laying down on her bed. She was going to relax for a couple minutes before she went out to do anything.

╔═══════════════════╗

MICAH MORROW. . .

╚═══════════════════╝

Halfway through unpacking his things into the storage provided in the quaint little dorm room he found a box full of a variety of glass works of art. Including a jar he blew himself, it's colors were tropical, the swirled into each other right at the hinge of the jar and the lid. In the dense, but still slimly opaque walls of the container was a big moist, and dank clump of north western fire grass. He decorated his desk with his glass, set down the jar then without taking his gaze off it lifted it back toward his face. The lid popped up with help of his forefingers and he brought the jar closer to his nostrils, with his free hand he wafted the scent to his face and the procrastination began. Lifting his biggest bong from one of the boxes, he began to gently unwrap it from the plastic bubbles that encased it safely within the cardbord. He loaded it, packing the green with the tips of his finger nails. A keefy residue stuck to them, till her scraped at their smooth edges with his front teeth. A pair of sun glasses that rested atop his head fell down, and he lit up as the room grew dark.

He said there on his freshly made bed, sitting back smoking bowl after bowl for atleast a couple hours. He switched of the piece a few times, rolled a couple fatties but mainly kept to the bong. The window was closed, the AC unit turned off upon his entrance earlier. He became completely comfortable with his surroundings long before actually stepping foot on campus, he had already started thinking of this place as a second home years ago. The room was packed in with smoke, he could make out some details in the room, whilst others were completely hidden in the twists and spins of the smoke that oozed around the room in what he saw as slow motion.

Micah was at home, this was certain but what he seamed to forget about in the midst of the thick cloud he was harvesting, was that any minute now he'd be greeted with what should have been a much expected guest. His room mate. He didn't bother looking at the name, if he remembered correctly it was something feminine. He didn't pay too much attention while reading it the first time, simply because he didn't want to read into a name too much and judge a person he'd never met before based off of something as simple as a name given to them. He had just finished off a roach when the thought grazed through his mind, and he shoveled his palm through his desk trying to find the information paper he'd thrown away soon after getting. As his arm disappeared deeper and deeper into the desk he heard a jingle of sorts, a key slipped into the lock and a door began to open, preparing for the worst he exhaled and then gasped in gargantuan breath of air, attempting to fill his lungs with every last smoke particle in the room. As a female walked through the door he sank into his bed and swiftly exhaled what was left of it into his sheets.

With his shades covering his hazel eyes the male turned toward the visitor. " No Bother" He retorted, his voice was a little hoarse. The smoke had cleared, but the smell remained. Some people really loathed the scent, whilst others found it amazing, he wondered what her thoughts would be. Regardless he wasn't about to change his habits or lifestyle just because he was sharing a living space. "I'm Micah By the way."

Chloe made her way through the door quickly, and as her room mate mentioned his name, the door closed behind her. As it did, she stood up, and in a moment she was covered in darkness. She blinked in surprise. An ocular ability? she wondered, but then the scent hit her nose as she breathed in: weed, tons of it. Of course, Micah's session had been over for a long time, but the scent sat upon every inch of the room. The smell wasn't a bother, although she would have to take a shower twice a day at least so the smell wouldn't rub off on her, and perhaps opening a small window to give the space some fresh air. Chloe hoped this wouldn't be an everyday thing, but she wouldn't mention anything just yet.

Chloe stood there for a moment in silence. "I'm Chloe." she said quietly. The dark room reminded her of the days her brother smoked. She would always knock on his door, and ask if she could turn on the light. Most of the time Lucas said yes, but other times he'd shove her out, and continue to get high in the dark, musty bedroom. He began smoking after Chloe put their mother in rehab. He blamed Chloe for every bad thing that happened, and the drug took all the pain away, at least only temporarily. If Chloe had touched him he wouldn't feel pain again, but she knew that he needed his emotions just as much as her mother did, but since her brother was never around when she was 'hungry', her mother was the next best thing. Chloe was glad that she wasn't in need of energy, but she feared for the day she lost it again. "Do you mind if I turn the light on?" she paused, shy. "Uhm, my stuff. It needs to be unpacked."

She couldn't really remember what she packed. She remembered packing pictures to hang on the wall, and in the stuff that was still on it's way from her hometown in a moving van, she knew she packed her green comforter and it's matching sheets and pillow cases. She hoped the school wouldn't mind her stuffing their bedding elsewhere. The point was to be comfortable, right? The last thing she remembered to bring was her sketch book. When she felt distant, almost as if she would have a melt down and 'feed', she would sketch which emotion she wants most. She wasn't a very good drawer, but she needed to feel at ease somehow. Her brother had packed the rest of her things, but Chloe did do her own laundry and picked out the clothes she wanted to bring with her. If Lucas was in charge of that, he'd pack tons of useless things likes skirts and other girly attire that Chloe wasn't all that interested in.

Chloe's eyes adjusted, and she could see Micah's figure sitting on his bed, looking at ease. She wondered how much he had to smoke in order to look and feel like that. Of course, even though Chloe needed to ease up sometimes herself, she would never turn to weed to do so. Her sketch book was good enough.

There was nothing to do in a car especially if the car was as crappy as this taxi. Letting out a small yawn after what seemed like an eternity he was finally at school. A place for people to learn how to use their powers or rather learn how to use them properly.....He lightly rolled his eyes. Well if you were in Zuda you most likely knew how you wanted to use your powers even if it wasn't really all that nice. Jericho he just liked messing with people. Okay messing with people that might not be the word if it more like terrifying them and causing them as much pain as he could. That sounded more like it. And now there was a new fresh crop of victims in the form of first years. The dark haired male lightly licked his lips. As he made it over to the table a few people seemed to already know their rooms a few got moved around due to greivances with their room mates but he guessed others hadn't. He was handed a sheet at the desk. "Try not to ******** this roommate up." The woman behind the counter commented If he was in a bad mood she would have been in agony by now but new room mate was almost as good as fresh meat to mess with. he guessed his roommate least year had complained about him. Oh well. It wasn't his problem.

He guessed he would go and hunt down his new room then. He glanced over the paper flicking thorugh it until he got to room and roommate. Three....Athena....Blonde b***h. Hmmm this was going to be fun he wouldn't how much he would be able to push her, maybe she was still in the room. How fun. He couldn't help but grin well she was a lot better than the crybaby they have shoved him with last year which would have been his first year. The second year Zuda made his way towards the Zuda dorm rooms. It wasn't too long before he found it pushing the door open without much thought for anything.

he glanced between one empty bed and the other which he guessed had Athena on. Well she seemed to get the choice of the beds. Was that going to fly with Jericho....Honestly he couldn't care less if he did he would just do something drastic......Grab her bag and toss them out of the door, grab a nice handful of her underwear and toss them out of the window but Jericho was more civil than that at least most of the time. He wasn't into doing big things it was most more fun to mess with people in other ways.Try to get into their head using just a tiny bit you your power amping it up every so often. Athena....Wasn't she the mind manipulator. He usually kept up to date with people of interest and needless to say it already had at least a couple of interesting names at the moment.

"Well well it looks like I have a brand new roommate." he commented although he did wonder who she might have been rooming with before maybe they just switched him with her roommate it seemed like the simplest suggestion. Although the reasoning behind him being put with the blonde. he was sure it was to do with her power Maybe she would handle him a little better than the crybaby.

                                                                            User Image

Planes to be honest Luca's hated them. Lightly rolling his eyes he glanced towards his Twin.
"Did we have to come in on that flying deathtrap?" He questioned with a light growl. Planes and
heights as much as Luca's would deny it he ******** hated them. Landon on the other hand found
them quite present especially with the hostesses. At least they were on solid ground now that
was always a plus. And Landon was driving so they didn't have to worry about Accidents. Luca's
was rather impatient after all and he got impatient quickly which usually triggered his temper and
his road rage. Like the older twin needed that right? It was a quick ride before they were though
the school gates.

"Do you know who your sharing with?" Landon questioned just to get a rather funny look from
Lucas "Is that any of your business you will most likely see them since you ARE helping me
carry me stuff to my room."
They younger twin commented with a small chuckle. "Fine." Landon
replied as he slightly shook his head. That was usually the way Every single year. Landon
usually met Luca's room mate should they already be in the room when they got there. He was
actually thankful for that because.......Well Lucas wasn't the most cooperative person in the
world pretty much all of his previous room mates had ended up annoying the hell out of Lucas
usually with little things. It was usually on the first day too which didn't sound all that promising
for him. He always worried about getting a bad reputation because of Lucas. People were rather
judgmental most of the time even in this school. Just look at the housed.
Marvel - Good Zuda - Bad Charlton - Sidekick.

It wasn't too long before Lucas arrived at his room carrying.....Well one bag since he had decided
to dump Landon with the rest. "You could help you - Quit complaining and just get it done."
a*****e that was what he was an a*****e. With that Luca's looked at his paper. Room
number.....Not important......Rooming with......Dixie. Did he care if she was in there? No not
really did he care what bed she had gotten? Nope......If she was getting changed? He couldn't
careless it wasn't like they weren't going to see that kind of stuff rooming together. He was about
to push the door open but it seemed like he didn't have to after all letting out a smirk as he saw her.
He just well dropped the bag... Yes Bag he had in his hand and turned his head to look down the hall to
see Landon still struggling with his bags. "Yeah hurry up you." he commented sounding almost amused.
That was when he stepped into the room Landon could get the bag her had left.......Either that or he
could trip over it. Either one would be okay with him.

So this was Dixie and she seemed to to have claimed her bed. The one with the blue sheets
although glancing over at his his eyes narrowed slightly......She had left him with the crappy pink
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX ones. The b***h. Conveniently that was when Landon walked through the door dropping the bags
and lightly wiping his forehead with the back of his wrist. "Your going to to help me grab mine
ri
- No not really?" What was with Lucas and cutting people off. It seemed like Dixie was
changing her sheets though oh well he guessed he would since pink it wasn't really his color but then
again, what girl in Zuda would have pink sheets wasn't that more of a Marvel or Chalton
thing? Hopping pretty much onto her bed letting his legs sprawl across it his feet handing off the
edge he let out a smirk......"Well you must be Dixie." he suggested raising an eyebrow as he
stared at her. "Try not to annoy her too soon. Okay Luke?......Yeah just shut the door on him he
isn't important."

Dixie was still unsure. Even if she fits the description as the others did in this dorm, she still didn't think she was all that bad. The others, she wasn't sure. She figured a lot of them would just try to ******** with her mind or something like that. At least her ability would scare a certain amount of them off. Maybe she'd get respect, she wouldn't mind it. The girl was getting into deep thought until her roommate walked in and dropped his bag on the floor. The noise woke her from her thoughts. He looked attractive, that didn't hurt. Dixie had this feeling that this guy was gonna be fun one way or another. He already seemed to hate his bed sheets. That look in his eyes was pretty funny. She had to stifle her laughter for the moment. It wouldn't be the right moment, since they just met. She didn't want to come off as a b***h right away. He got her back by hopping on her bed, instead of his own.

Dixie hide that she was annoyed, instead she thought about doing something back. Another boy came in with a huge amount of bags. Her eyes widen at the amount of bags he held. She made it easy on herself and only brought a book bag and suitcase. How much stuff did this guy need? The guy carrying all this stuff, that she assumed wasn't his finally dropped the weight down. He was cute too, he looked very similar to this other guy. she assumed they were twins. They already seemed like polar opposites, just by what she seen in this few minutes. His brother seemed to already know that he is annoying. Dixie wasn't sure what to expect, but he seemed to be easily annoyed. "What? Oh, yeah. That's me alright, I assume your Luke, right?" She walked closer to him, and did not follow his directions. Dixie already liked this Luke's brother better, and she hasn't talked to him yet.

Dixie would speak again before he could reply to her first comment. " Well, Luke, Ya wanna know something? I don't like sharing my bed . You don't seem to be moving so neither will I" A slight smirk on her face, when she stood above him. She jumped and landed on top of his legs. Dixie quickly adjusted herself and sat up right on his limbs. She wasn't a big girl, but Dixie wasn't one of those skinny girls that looked sick. It didn't seem like his power was super strength, so she didn't worry about him going crazy strong on her all a sudden. She wasn't physically that strong either. She had other abilities that helped her out. A sudden movement and she could control someone's limbs for a period of time. Another reason why she needed to be here. To control her powers, and improve on them. She wanted to eventually be able to crush organs with people's own blood. That seemed the line of work she would have anyway. She let out a sigh as she adjusted herself on Lucas's legs.

In life, Cara Daphne Lewis was fairly misunderstood. She was looked at with gazes of confusion, disgust and simple judgment each and every day. The looks she received stemmed from her styling choices but rooted much deeper with who she is. Cara, Or Daphne, as she referred to herself in her self narratives was special. As all students at the university were. She had abilities. Although 21 Cara didn't discover herself until a couple years ago, she was a late bloomer and had to take extra classes in her second year to catch up with the rest of her class. Being a molecular, and not a mental person, she got through them faster than the prof's expected. Now she was starting her fourth year, reasonably smug.

She had made it to school a little earlier than she would have liked, about a day too soon for her liking. She stayed in a motel that night outside the campus's secret location, in the most ordinary part of town. She had told the desk man she was in town studying the local wild life. He seamed pretty shocked. He said something to her like, "Don't see why, most interesting thing round' here are possums." She chuckled along then told him "You'd be surprised what you can find with a good eye open."

She ate her breakfast in a cafe a few blocks down the road from where she stayed, ordered a caramel late` and a croissant with jam. Then, with a few bags on her person she maneuvered herself to the street that would take her toward the campus. When she got a few miles away from town, and found herself in an empty rural strip, she looked around double checking her surroundings, then when she was sure she was alone she transformed. Her stature was shorter and longer, she stood on four feet instead of two, fur cloaked her figure, she leapt forward swiftly. She could now travel a farther distance in a shorter amount of time. A thick blur of black and orange moved with her as she disappeared from one point, reappearing at the gates of her destination.

She went straight on to get her information, then packed her things into her room. She only unpacked a single box, the rest sat on the bed she had claimed. She removed from the box, a mirror which she hung above her desk rather fanatically. Then from the bottom of the box she pulled a striped red and black towel, a black hair clip, and a bottle of shampoo. With these things under her arm she left to the floor's bathroom. Setting her things on the counter she smiled at the emptiness of the room. It made sense that today people would be more interested in unpacking and reacquainting themselves than with hygene or bodily functions. She walked back over to the door and flipped the lock over, if there was an emergency on the other side they would just have to make a detour, because this was Cara's private shower time now. She walked back while throwing the clothes that had just covered her back in a pile on the floor. She hung the towel outside her stall and then entered.

A spell of time later, after drying off and changing back into her suede jacket, bell bottoms and graphic T Cara found herself looking into one of the mirrors. The steam had stuck to the glass, so she rubbed a strip through the center to see her face. She began to play with her hair, and fix it into a faux hawk.

Athena stared up at the ceiling and couldn't help but wonder how this year was going to go. Last year had been eventful. No one had died or anything, but someone almost did. And the pairing of roommates had been as crappy as they possibly could. She didn't think anyone, except a certain and special few actually got paired with someone they liked and didn't make them want to pull out their hair or something along those things. This year, it looked like the teachers woke up and stuck people together who might actually tolerate each other. And not...almost kill each other. Or make each other want to kill themselves. She just hoped her sister got paired with someone good. Maybe the marvel twin, though that was probably not going to happen. But she wasn't familiar with many marvels. She knew who they were, but not if they weren't total spazes. Remembering her sister she grabbed her cell phone to see if she got a text saying that she was here yet. She was supposed to bring her, her phone charger, and her phone was about to die any second. She was starting to wonder what would happen first, her phone dying, or her sister texting her. Placing the phone back on the bedside table, she placed her arms over her eyes to block out the light, and she started to relax.

Athena had only just began to relax when the sudden sound of the door opening distracted her from her thoughts. "Must be Jericho." she thought before she sat up and came face to face with her roommate. A smirk came onto her face as she looked at him. He was attractive, but then again, he was also two years younger than her, and she wasn't really for dating younger men. Jericho... Jericho... she tried to pinpoint what she had heard his power was. It was probably something good, considering they only roomed people with who they thought they could handle. They wouldn't of stuck her with someone where they could take advantage of each other. Though in the Zuda house, that was something that would probably happen at one point or the other regardless of who they roomed the person with. He seemed to be just standing there for a few minutes and that gave Athena the time to pinpoint his exact power. He was the kid with the fear and pain inducement power. Explains why they put them together. If he ever stepped out of line, all she had to do was speak and it was all over. Once he spoke she looked over at him and a small smirk formed on her face. "Well well it looks like I have a brand new roommate." The blonde pushed herself up off the bed and walked towards her suitcases. She was not gonna get any rest now anyways.

She looked over at him. "You already know my name. And I'm guessing you already know my power. Try anything on me, and you'll be jumping out that window there." she said, as she pointed to the window. The fall wouldn't kill him. Maybe just break a few things. She turned her attention back to her suitcases and started pulling things out, unpacking everything she had in her suitcases and putting them all away. As soon as she was about half way through she turned back to Jericho. She had heard about his roommate last year. Mostly because she had heard the person bitching about him over and over again. They had been terrified to go back in the room. Big baby. That crap was not going to fly with Athena. She was not scared of him whatsoever. And at least he would be interesting. Turning back to putting away her things, she decided to strike up and conversation. After all, she had to live with this guy all year right? And it shouldn't be that hard. They see each other in their underwear and just get over it. Plain and simple. "So, you going to the dance?" she asked, just as she packed away the rest of her things. Athena walked back over to her bed and sat down, crossing one leg over the other.
