                                      • Shelley sat cross-legged on the floor of the Doyle’s living room. She was just starting on her favorite short story by Poe, The Masque of the Red Death when her brother entered the living room. Being completely engrossed in the story already though, Shelley hadn’t even noticed. This left Shelley open to attack, which Lewis never failed to take advantage of. Today’s seemed to be quite heinous if you asked Shelley, as her book was wrenched out of her hands. “Give that back!” She said sounding annoyed, but amused at the same time. If Shelley and her brother weren’t so close she’d probably get mad but knew her brother was teasing her.

“You need to get your nose out of the books more, Shell.” Lewis said laughing at his sister as she scrambled to her feet. Shelley began hoping up and down trying to reach the book as Lewis held it higher out of her grasp.

“I thought you were with Mirasol.” Shelley grumbled unhappily, still jumping uselessly hands outstretched.

“I’m meeting her for breakfast in…” Lewis lifted his other arm to check his watch. “Half an hour.”

“That’s when Ash is coming to get me.” Shelley said, abandoning her plight for her book. The curses of being younger and shorter.

“If you’re meeting your friend you won’t need this.” Lewis said smiling, knowing very well that Shelley always kept a book on her in case things got slow or boring. When with Ashley she didn’t often have time to read but that didn’t mean Shelley didn’t want to be prepared. The one time she’d leave a book home would be the one time she needed one.

“You know I always bring one with me but fine, I have to get ready anyway.” She grumbled to herself as Shelley scowled at her brother, who feigned a look of pain while waving her out of the room.

Stomping up the stairs, Shelley made it to her room and changed out of the yoga pants and sweatshirt she’d put on after her shower. Despite the fact that Shelley liked to dress up and nicely, in the mornings she generally lounged until she needed to get ready to go. Shelley was about to pull her hair up into a ponytail, which was her go-to hairstyle, before changing her mind and leaving her blonde locks loose.

By the time Shelley had made it downstairs she could tell that her brother was, thankfully, finally gone. His keys were missing from the hook, which meant he’d left to pick up Mirasol. While upstairs, Shelley had grabbed her complete works of Keats and was just about to try and fight with her purse when she noticed that Poe was lying on the counter. Grinning Shelley grabbed Poe and slipped it easily into the small purse. She’d gotten the compact version purely for that reason.

Apparently Ashley had a bad morning because she really laid into the car horn - causing Shelley to jump almost an entire foot in the air. When Shelley had made it to the car she was immediately greeted with something about lucky charms and needing coffee. Shelley had learned a long time ago not to question these vague, strange explanations. “Coffee sounds good.” She said shrugging, as if to say ‘I’m good with whatever.’

It didn’t take long to locate a parking spot when they arrived at Doze and just after Shelley and Ashley had gotten out of the car and begun to head in they were joined. by one Cooper Branwell who took it upon himself to drape himself over both Shelley and Ashley. “Hi Cooper.” Shelley said smiling; despite being an infamous charmer in Sewall’s point Shelley and Cooper had never had any interest in each other. Their relationship was completely platonic. Take that When Harry Met Sally, girls and guys could be just friends. Turning back to Ashley, she answered the question that had been asked of her before they’d been interrupted. “I dunno yet, I guess it depends how the party goes?” Shelley said as she checked her phone for a message from Simon, her cheeks tinted a light shade of pink, she still wasn't exactly sure what was going on at the party. Ash knew very well that Shelley had a not-so-secret crush on the owner of the Mystery Machine but wasn’t able to say a thing to him. She’d tried to force Shelley to say something to him in person once, it hadn’t ended well.

The trio made their way into the coffee place and Shelley’s eyes scanned the establishment for anyone they might know. Cooper was the first to notice someone though, that being Cassidy. After Cooper’s loud greeting, he was a very enthusiastic person in Shelley’s opinion, she waved at Cassie herself. “There’s a table over here.” Shelley said indicating one with four chairs. “This one has room for all of use, Cassie too.” She said shrugging before leading them all to the table so they could deposit their bags to keep the table while they ordered their drinks.

Shelley got her usual simple French vanilla coffee before sitting at the table again. “Are you all looking forward to the beach party?” Shelley wasn't nervous, everyone expected her and Simon to actually talk to each other. As in, not have a text conversation while sitting next to each other and occasionally smiling awkwardly at each other. She had a bad feeling about this.

                                                            • Sho had succeeded in pulling an all-nighter. It hadn't been something he'd planned on, moreso it had been something that had happened. He'd been struck with sudden dance inspiration that Wednesday evening, and had promptly dropped everything he'd been doing and hauled his butt to the dance studio where he spent the better portion of his time. He'd promptly gotten to work on actually mapping out the muse he'd suddenly had, and before he realized it was in the wee morning hours.

By time he'd finally worked the piece to the point that he found it satisfying, and more importantly - teachable, it was nearing ten o'clock in the morning. Exhaustion was finally starting to set in and Sho was all too tempted to go to sleep. Today was the day of Cassidy's annual beach bash, though. Seeing as how the beach bash was the event that officially kicked off the summer, Sho (to a certain degree) felt obligated to actually attend, or at least make some form of an appearance. Thus sleeping, or even a nap, seemed just a little bit out of the question.

Shutting off the music via remote control, Sho moved across the small studio he'd been working in to set the remote down near the music set up. He unplugged his ipod from where he'd hooked it up hours earlier, pocketing his ipod and collecting the rest of his belongings. He promptly exited the studio, locking up all of the doors with the set of keys he'd been provided once he'd been welcome into the studio as an instructor. His car was parked in it's usual space, waiting for him. Sho was aware that it probably wasn't the safest thing to be driving while he was tired, but he was confident the people living in Sewall's Point had done worse. The partying crowd seemed to be high there, which likely implied that some of the people there were prone to driving drunk.

Unlocking his car, Sho promptly slid into the drivers seat. His belongings were tossed into the backseat where they would likely be forgotten until he needed them again. He sat in his car for a moment, rubbing at his eyes to get himself to wake up at least a little bit more. It was safe to say, he definitely needed coffee, with an extra shot of espresso... stat. Fishing his phone out of his pocket, he unlocked it and scrolled through his contacts list until he came across Satomi's name. He typed out a quick text message to Satomi, asking if she wanted to meet him at Doze to get coffee. After hitting the send button, his phone was shoved back into the pocket of the jacket he was wearing.

Drumming his hands on the steering wheel, he waited a brief moment, waiting for the sound of his phone to indicate that Satomi had texted back. When he received no response, he assumed she was either busy, or had decided against responding. If she met him there, he would see her when he got there. That was what he could assume.

Finally starting his car, he backed out of his parking space, departing from the studio and beginning on his route to Doze. He found his way to Kings Street with ease, though all the parking spots outside the establishment were full. Doze had a tendency to be a pretty popular place, and given the crowded, California-esque nature of Kings Street, restaurants tended to have limited parking. He ended up snagging a parking space at a parking complex down the street, locking his car before heading down Kings Street in the direction of Doze.

He didn't take note of Satomi's presence anywhere, so he entered the small coffee shop and immediately got in line at the counter. He took now as an opportunity to fish out his cellphone, noting that there still were no text messages. He supposed Satomi really must have been busy. Just as he was pocketing his cellphone, the Japanese female finally arrived at the coffee shop, almost as in a speak-of-the-devil sort of manner. "I was just thinking about you," He teased. "Make anyone cry yet today?" He prompted curiously.

As the line moved forward they reached the counter, Sho taking the initiative to order both Satomi's and his own usual order, paying for both coffees and a small selection of breakfast pastries as well. After the cashier returned his card to him, they progressed over to the area where drinks were being distributed to wait for their drinks to be finished. "You planning on going to Cass' party today? It's promising to be fun," He said, though he personally really wanted to sleep, to be perfectly honest. He figured, ultimately, he would decide on whether or not he was going to the party depending on if Satomi would be attending. That seemed like solid enough logic.

                                            • At five o' clock in the morning, Kamnan was the only one up. He decided to go for a run, getting dressed for a run, Kamnan had grabbed a bottle of water and headphones. Downstairs. Kamnan did a quick stretch before he left the house. Running down a couple blocks, he just watched as the people of Sewall Point was getting ready for work or just waking up. After a good mile, Kamnan walked right back to his home, he stopped every once and a while to only enjoy the piece and quiet. It was seven o' clock, Kamnan had returned home, he needed to take a quick shower. Heading towards the bathroom, Kamnan was quick to undress and hop in the shower. He took about twenty to thirty minutes in the shower to clean himself, maybe longer if he wasn't in a rush.

Wrapping a towel around his waist, Kamnan had used this time to brush his teeth while he was still a little wet. After a good ten to fifteen minutes, Kamnan looked in the mirror at his teeth before returning to his bedroom. Inside, he grabbed a second towel and dried his hair a little, he didn't want it to dry because he was going to apply gel. Whipping himself down, Kamnan threw on clothes before he climbed back in bed, it didn't hurt to have a short nap. Setting his alarm for 9:30, Kamnan had shut his eyes and fell asleep for the rest of the time. Time flew by, Kamnan had awoken before the alarm clock to only sigh "Why bother setting an alarm if I wake up before it," he canceled the wake up call.

His hair was still wet so Kamnan had added gel to his hair. Combining it down, Kamnan than got dressed for the day, he was going to meet up with Ingrid at the Cabinet. Looking through his closet, Kamnan yanked out a long sleeved shirt and shorts. Buttoning his shirt on, Kamnan had stopped to check his phone for any messages, nothing so he went back to getting changed. Slipping his shorts on, Kamnan was dressed and ready for the day. Quickly, Kamnan fixed his bed and folded the clothes he had changed out and placed them on his bed. Grabbing a pair of clean socks, Kamnan had rushed down the steps with his phone and sketchbook in hand.
Noticing that mom was at the table, he crept up behind her and gave her a hug, Kamnan just smiled and kissed her on the cheek. "Good morning mom," he greeted her before he poured himself a cup of that breakfast smoothie she was having.

Taking a sip, Kamnan just sat down across from her, getting comfortable, Kamnan just listened to her as she talked. "So what are you doing today?" she asked, he only whipped the side of his mouth before answering her. "Going to have brunch with Ivy," he replied and she just looked at him for a moment and it looked like she had something to say. "When are you going to bring a lovely lady home?" she asked and Kamnan just took a big sip from his cup. "I'll let you know when," he said, moving on, she decided to ask about the beach party. "I'm going," Kamnan told her before giving her a small smile. "If you meet someone, please make sure she isn't one of those types," she said, Kamnan knew what she meant and understood. She was warning him but Kamnan never really leaned towards those types of girls.

Finished, Kamnan just stood up and just gave her another kiss on the cheek. "See you later mom," he told her before leaving the house. Grabbing his keys, Kamnan just unlocked the door to his car. Tossing his sketchbook in the other side, Kamnan just slipped in before closing the door behind him. Turning the engine on, Kamnan just sat back in his seat while the car warmed up, in a minute, Kamnan backed out of the driveway and towards the Cabinet. In a couple minutes, Kamnan had arrived at the Cabinet, buying a smoothie, Kamnan grabbed a booth for him and Ingrid.

Sitting back, Kamnan just opened his sketchbook before unlocking his phone and bringing up a photo. He took a quick picture of the waves that crashed on the shore yesterday. The sun was down and the light hitting the water was beautiful, Kamnan had taken a photo and decided that he'd draw it. Using this free time before Ingrid showed, Kamnan started to draw on the blank piece of paper. Stopping, Kamnan just checked the time before looking out the window, she'd show up soon enough. Closing the sketchbook, Kamnan just thought about where Elliot had went, might have went to hang out with Cora.

                                                        • " "N..No don't..do that," she murmured in her sleep," Libby murmured as she was tossing and turning in bed, might have been a recurring nightmare. "You can't eat me!" she woke up screaming in panic, running her hands through her hair, Libby just sighed heavily. Flora who was startled had moved to the floor after Libby's momentarily cry. "I'm sorry," she apologized before scooping up the fully grown teacup pig in her arms. Cradling the pig, Libby just set her down on her lap and just started to stroke her head. It wasn’t until a few minutes later that her grandfather had ran in to her room. "What's wrong?" he asked, Libby just looked at him to only smile weakly as she explained her sudden outburst. Laughing, he just made his way over to her bed, sitting down, he just grabbed her hand and squeezed it. "I won't let anyone eat my favorite grandchild," he whispered, Libby just smiled and hugged him, "You’re the best grandfather," she whispered back and received a kiss on the forehead. "These nightmares are going to be the death of me, Flora," she told her beloved pig before she scurried out the room.

Taking a deep breath, Libby than exhaled before getting ready. Fixing her bed, Libby made sure there wasn't a wrinkle before she came down to make her own breakfast. Archie had looked up from his plate to ask "Same nightmare?" and she just nodded her head, he was amused with the fact that she woke up screaming not to be eaten. Blair was to focused with her phone at the moment but stopped when Archie tried to take her piece of bacon. "I'll bite your hand off," she threatened him, Libby just laughed as he withdrew his hand and just sat back in his chair. "Libby, you really need to get that head checked," Blair stated, this caused Libby to raise a brow at her. "Why is that?" she asked, Blair responded "No one want's to eat someone filled with soy and grass," that surely ticked Libby off. "Don't compare lettuce to grass, Blair," she said, leaning against one of the chairs, the two bickered for a moment till their father came down. "Girls, not so early in the morning," he said before delivering good morning kisses to the two of them and a pat on the head for Archie.

"Where is mom?" Libby asked, now that her attention was on her father. "She's feeling a bit under the weather," he responded, Libby just watched as he took a seat. "Your grandfather is with her right now so don't worry," he told Libby, he was quick to read her thoughts. "Just go make your breakfast," he said while pouring himself a cup of coffee and stacking pancakes on to his plate. In the kitchen, Libby had decided to make a tofu omelet with asparagus and a bit of soy meat. It took her less than thirty minutes to have her food prepared and at the table. Sitting down, Libby took a bite from her food, Archie had left to go feed Cheese and Cracker, the two were always together and he'd find the two in the pond just floating. Flora had came in to the room just squealing, the teacup pig just ran under the table and by her feet. "What is wrong with her now?" her father asked, setting the newspaper aside to look over at her.

Reaching down, Libby had picked her up and allowed Flora on her lap but her father was quick to say "no" and she frowned. Setting Flora down, Libby just gave Flora a bite of her asparagus before she ran off out the doors to the backyard. "Flora has her own food, Libby," he warned her and she just frowned but nodded her head. Blair was silent the entire time before she got up and handed her plate to a friend. "Bye daddy," Blaire said as she was leaving the house. Watching her older sister leave, Libby was quick to finish up before she went upstairs to get changed for the day. Her plan was to walk around the beach and pick up a couple shells to add to her collection. Taking a shower, Libby had a certain habit of dancing and listening to music as she showered. She had a bathroom all to her own because Libby would leave the door open, she felt so trapped when the doors were closed. Finished, Libby had stepped out the bathroom and changed in to her clothes for the day. Wearing her favorite vintage floral shirt, Libby just smiled as she tied her hair up in to a ponytail.

Downstairs, Libby had stuffed her bag with snacks that she had made. Her own granola bars and baked blueberry donuts for the day. About to leave, Libby stopped when her grandfather showed up with empty bowls and just smiled at her. "Leave so soon?" he asked and she just nodded her head gently. "Be safe," he told her before she left the house. Jumping on her bike, Libby had biked all the way to the private beack of Sewall Point. A party was going to be held later, Libby wouldn't have the chance to grab a couple seashells during the wild night. Upon arrival, the red head just jumped off and set her bike down with her bag. For a moment, she watched the water crash against the shore. Smiling, Libby took this change to dig up a couple shells. She spent her time at the beach having fun. At some point she sat back and just enjoyed the view. She even had a couple bites of her granola bar and played music from her phone. Listening to Reflections from Misterwives, Libby just sang along and bobbed her head.

                                                                    • Ingrid had just made it back to the front porch of the Gilmore household; she'd left about an hour ago to go for a run around the block like she did every morning. Ingrid found this kept her in good shape for gymnastics and the other activities she liked to do, plus there was the added bonus that she was generally out when Audrey was getting dressed, which relieved her of helping Audrey choose what to wear. Not that Ingrid was ever Audrey's first choice, more like her last because she'd gotten fed up to many times at Ingrid's obvious lack of interest. Apparently playing Solitaire, Sudoku, or Angry Birds wasn't a good way to pass the time when Audrey was having one of her daily clothing consultations with Ingrid.

Ingrid turned off her iPod; it had just begun playing Manic Monday by the Bangles, before wrapping the headphones around it and opening the front door. She heard conversation, not that she could make out who was talking, coming from upstairs. Ingrid quickly refilled her water bottle, only to place it into the fridge before downing a glass of milk and having a piece of toast with peanut butter on it.

After her post-run ritual, which really only encompassed filling her water bottle before having the snack, Ingrid made her way upstairs to shower and change. She'd never been a long shower person, and tended to get herself clean and then hope out. Ingrid didn't like to soak; it wasn't active enough for her. After grabbing the first things from her drawer that would be comfortable while still looking nice, Ingrid through them on. She was meeting her friend Kamnan at the Cabinet later for brunch. The two hadn't talked in a little while so it would be a good way to catch up.

Once she was pleased with her appearance, which for Ingrid met combing out her wet hair and tossing it into a ponytail, she grabbed her keys and the first bag she saw it her closet. It happened to be one of the designer bags either one of her father's or Audrey, at this point she couldn't really remember, had bought Ingrid in the hopes of getting her to dress more fashionably. She’d not changed yet though, she didn’t see the point putting extra time into what she wore if she looked fine it what she already owned and put on.

Ingrid didn’t run into any of her siblings on her way out of the house, though that was probably because both Raj and Audrey had dates with their significant others. As for Humphrey she wasn’t sure. Leaving the house, Ingrid felt like she’d just come back from her run but didn’t mind so much as her stomach was growling again. A piece of toast with peanut butter really wasn’t enough to fill her.

Getting in her car, Ingrid sent a quick text to Kamnan letting him know she was on her way before plugging her iPod into the stereo and peeling out of the driveway. It was one of Ingrid’s flaws. She likes to drive fast, and often had to ride her breaks and get the replaced fairly often because she wore them out so fast with her driving that could only be described as reckless. Most people didn’t like to drive with her for these reasons.

The first thing Ingrid noticed when she arrived at the Cabinet was Beck and Poppy at a table near the back. Ingrid rolled her eyes and groaned unhappily, there was no way to describe Beck and Ingrid’s relationship in such a way that sounded positive. The two hadn’t gotten along since they’d been in the same gymnastics class as kids. If anything it’d gotten worse as they got older. Pointedly ignoring the couple, Ivy scanned the place for Kamnan, which she spotted not long after. Grinning Ivy made her way towards her friend and dropped into the chair across from him. “Hey Cam, hope you weren’t waiting long?” She’d feel bad if he’d been here awhile waiting for her, Ingrid wasn’t one who liked to be late.

Once Ingrid had gotten settled she noticed the sketch pad in front of Cam, something that didn't surprise her in the slightest. "What are you working on today?" She admired his patience for drawing, Ingrid didn't possess enough to sit long enough to draw.

                                                        • Before summer, Humphrey was in Mexico, he was with a couple of friends during spring break. It was a pleasure, getting to learn the language and enjoy the food. The best part was learning how to dance, he had quite a number of locals who didn't mind teaching them, some were rather flirtatious but he was way to focused on learning. They decided during the second to last week, they'd go on a small road trip to Guatemala. Everyone was having fun before returning back to school, Humphrey had his nose stuck in his book. He was going to pass this semester but it didn't help that he played baseball for the University. He had to plan his schedule accordingly. When summer finally came, Humphrey was glad to return back home, packing up all his stuff and returning home to only be greeted by his dads.

It was great to be back, Humphrey had been dying to be with his family and hang out with Lucy. After he settled back in his room, he brought out a bunch of gifts for everyone. He had a habit of buying souvenirs, especially when he studied abroad. Distributing them to everyone was the first thing, Humphrey wanted them to pick from the bag. What he bought for Lucy was safe in his room till they meet up. Humphrey had bought her these chocolates shaped as sugar skulls and this bracelet that he hoped she'd like.

Waking up this morning, Humphrey had heard a bunch of commotion coming from downstairs. Scratching his head, Humphrey just walked out his room and looked downstairs to watch as both his dads and Binyamin dealt with a bookcase and Audrey aside. He didn't stay to long to watch, Humphrey just returned back to his room and checked his phone for any messages. His good friend, Charles had sent numerous photos from their trip. Grabbing his laptop, Humphrey just downloaded all the pictures before setting them aside. Stretching his arms out, Humphrey went and grabbed his towel before heading into the bathroom. Stripping down, Humphrey jumped in to the bathroom and scrubbed himself down. It took a good twenty minutes before he was out and back in his room. Getting changed, Humphrey grabbed one of his plaid shirts and buttoned it up before slipping his shorts on and a pair gray socks.

Back in the bathroom, Humphrey brushed his teeth before he fixed his hair. Grabbing the small gift for Lucy, he made sure they weren't damaged before putting them in a small gift bag. Heading back downstairs, Humphrey just fixed his sleeves while making his way to the kitchen. Rory and Cary were still working on the bookcase and almost done. "Good morning," he greeted them both before he disappeared to make a little something. Toasting a slice of bread, Humphrey had grabbed a butter knife and a jar of peanut butter. Cutting out slices of bananas, Humphrey had layered them out on the bread and just took a bite. Leaning against the counter, Humphrey took a couple bites before he said his good-bye "I'm going now," he informed them.

"Wait, where are you going?" Cary asked, looking up from the instructions and Rory stopped for a moment. "I'm taking Lucy out for brunch," he explained and they just sighed, already two of their children left on a date. "Have fun," Cary said as he just waved bye and stepped out the door of the house. Making his way towards his car, Humphrey just opened the drivers side and slipped inside. Setting the gift bag on the passengers seat, Humphrey just adjusted the seat and buckled himself in. Starting the engine, he sent a quick text to Lucy that he was coming before he backed out the driveway and drove over to the Campbell household.

                                                          User Image

When he arrived, Humphrey just parked the car and made his way towards the front door. Knocking twice, Humphrey just waited to only come face to face Mr. Campbell, the family was having breakfast. "Good morning," he greeted everyone as he stepped inside the house. They already knew he was here for Lucy, Humphrey just took a seat with the group. At some point, Mrs. Campbell had left to notify her daughter that he was here. Yes, Humphrey could have just sat outside and waited but he liked talking with Mr. and Mrs. Campbell for a little till Lucy was done. The conversation was short and sweet, just a few question about what they planned on doing.

These quiet moments in her morning refueled Poppy for the day, the gentile murmur of voices drifting throughout the café somehow focused her even more. As her eyes floated across her phone screen analyzing her lines deciphering why her character would say the things she’s saying, she heard muffled giggles and whispers. Naturally, distracted now by the disturbance, she turned her head around to look at the group of young people giggling.

It was then realized that it was she who was the punching bag at this particular moment. She sighed and turned her head back around before setting her phone down on the table, turning her whole body around to face the group who was now obviously talking about the blonde. With a flip of her hair and a intensity in her glare she growled with an odd sweetness to her tone “Excuse me, pack of hyenas over there! Would you care to explain what it is you find so ******** hilarious?” Poppy stood from her table now, slowly walking to the group she was addressing like lionesses ready to pounce.

It was not her first time dealing with nasty ignorant people, and it wouldn’t be the last. “Is it how many guys I’ve ******** and your sad attempt to make yourself feel better because you could never possibly have that many people want you? Aww that’s cu-.” Before Poppy could get the rest of her sentence out she heard a loud crash and a burst of laughter roar throughout the café. She whipped around to see what had occurred to see a raven haired boy slumped on the floor. She could have sworn she knew him from somewhere, but couldn’t put a finger on where.

Before she could even see if he needed help, he was already fumbling over himself to get up and run out the door. “Well damn….” Poppy then realized she had been in the middle of schooling a few idiots on slut shaming and turned back around. Setting her targets back on them she firmly placed her hands on their table and leaned in to say “Listen, next time you want to shame me for my sexuality and expression of such, remember I am very rich and know very powerful people and there is such a thing as slander. Don’t play around with princesses with rich parents, cause they’ll ******** you over.” The venom in her voice was practically palpable.

Poppy did not play around with her identity, anyone who knew her, knew that she was all about female equality and power to express themselves. Which included having sex if you wanted to have sex, and not if you don’t want to; Poppy’s life motto was simply “Do what you want as long as it makes you happy and you’re not hurting yourself or others.” So far it was working out just fine for her. Now back in her seat she saw the group of idiots get up and leave the café, obviously embarrassed, she chuckled triumphantly slightly to herself.
The glowing blonde began eating her pancakes and reading her lines once more. Before she could bring herself back into her intense focus she felt two strong arms wrap around her from behind and squeeze her into an embrace. She knew those strong arms. “Beeeeck” She cooed as the disgustingly handsome man sat in the chair across from her. “Oh no, I saw. Poor kid, I hope he isn’t too traumatized.” Poppy gave a sympathetic frown before taking another sip of her much needed coffee. In response to Beck’s guess of Poppy’s morning, Poppy giggled and waved him away, rolling her eyes and saying “Other than some sexist assholes thinking they can make me feel bad for sleeping around, my morning has been perfect” She glanced at her phone to check the time and remembered the beach party. “Excited for the party? Let’s make a deal, if we can’t find anyone else to sleep with, we’ll find each other, yeah?” The flirty blonde winked at Beck before taking more bites from her pancakes and covering her mouth as she laughed at her own self. She was right, this morning was perfect.

I AM SEE-THROUGH BABY SO TAKE A LOOK INSIDE I AM SEE-THROUGH BABY

and i don't wanna hide...xxxxxxxfor the very first time...

Destin woke up with a frown on his face. Not only did he sleep pretty badly but his phone was nowhere near his bed. Destin needed his phone like old people needed Life Alert. The teen thrashed about his room groggily in a failed attempt to find his phone. He even went as far to look into his bathroom and his walk-in closet. No phone to be found. He decided he must be dreaming and that he’d just go back to bed. Once Des’s head hit his ridiculously expensive pillow he felt that his less expensive phone, which had been downgraded when he got suspended for calling his French teacher a thot on twitter, had been under it the entire time.

Destin's mornings consisted of two things. Firstly, going through all his social media accounts. Tumblr was always a priority because going through posts actually willed him to get out of bed, next Instagram, and depending on his mood: Vine. Secondly, he went into the bathroom to make sure he looked and felt good. This included showering (which he always did in the morning), brushing his teeth, and the like. He heard his cousins talking downstairs. Something about Siya going on a date. He rolled his eyes while rubbing his acne treatment cream on his face. He still didn't like the fact that she was dating but he kept his mouth shut about it.

Destin walked back into his room and got dressed after washing his face. His door was wide open and he saw Lotus walked into the doorway. "Don't you dare lardo." He told the cat with a face that said he wasn't having any of the cat's shenanigans today. The cat continued moving through the house past his door and Destin closed it before it came back. He then proceeded to pick out his clothes. He couldn't decide whether he'd be making a snapchat story during the party or just vining. Surely something would happen that was social media worthy. After getting dressed and finally settling on something to wear the teen walked down-stairs to get something to eat before he left. He knew that Doze and the Cabinet would be crowded and there were just some people that he did not feel like dealing with this early in the summer.

"Good morning, Des." Eleanor greeted. He smiled and acknowledged her. After all this time he still had trouble with what to call her. He didn't like the way aunt eleanor sounded and he hated calling her by her name alone. He went into the kitchen to make himself a toaster strudel. As he began making his tasty morning pastry he immediately was questioned about his day. “So what are your plans for the day?” his aunt asked him. He hummed an uncomfortable tune. He honestly had no idea what he’d do before the party.

“Amir’s probably going to take me with him...?” He asked and stated at the same time while shooting Amir a smirk. Destin could use some human interaction today and it’d just be all around easier to just chill with him. This was Des’s first official outing of the summer. Before today he had been sleeping, eating, and twitter ranting about the new summer show he started watching. He sat next to his cousin once his toaster strudel was done and elbowed him. “Seriously though, are you busy?” Destin questioned while taking a decent sized bite of his glorified poptart.

                                      A L I Y A H. M E S S I E R

“Can I get two…. uhhh, make that three, breakfast wraps?” Aliyah asked, standing in front of the counter and trying to read the sign at Big Bites while talking to the staff. “And a thing of that fruit salad you guys make with that pink dip.” Picking up breakfast when you had a no-pork-no-beef-everything-organic boyfriend was much cheaper than picking up breakfast for your omnivore twin brother.

The lady behind the counter nodded, and started shuffling ingredients around, scooping things into containers, and rolling a variety of vegetables, spices, and no-animal-byproduct sauces into two whole wheat tortillas.

At this time in the morning, Big Bites was already full. Aliyah checked her watch, to make sure that she wasn’t running late. When Raj brought the food, he was never late. Aliyah, on the other hand, was chronically late for everything. Today, though, she was looking good. Fully on schedule - and she’d even factored in at least three red lights, an army of old people crossing the street, and a duck migration.

While she was waiting for her order, her phone beeped, showing a text from Jeremy telling her that his grandmother had stolen his car. Aliyah considered phoning Granny Jo, but knew that she would still go for a joyride with Granny Xi even if people knew that she was going to do exactly that. Mr Paek would probably go along for the ride. That much, she was totally okay with. If Mr Paek was joyriding with the old ladies, that meant that he wasn’t at Raj’s, lurking in his bathrobe.

That also meant that he wouldn’t be the one answering the door. Also in his bathrobe.

The Gilmores had warned him after that one. Not that Aliyah could judge. Granny did pretty much the same thing to everyone. Except that she tended to consider a tiny leopard print bikini to be completely proper dinner wear.

The lady behind the counter pushed the paper bag over at Aliyah, and Aliyah fished the cash out of her mammoth purse, before heading out to her car, dialling her grandmother a soon as she got into the car. Setting the bag on the passenger seat, Aliyah waited for Granny’s phone to pick up.

                                                  “Wassup minibish,”
                                                  Granny greeted.

                                                  “Hi Granny,”
Aliyah said, “Are you with Granny Xi?"

A moment of tangible silence. “Nooooo,” Granny said. But Aliyah could hear giggling in the background. “Shhh, you two, she’ll hear you!” It sounded like Granny had put her hand over the wrong part of the phone in an attempt to muffle the noise. “No, dearie, just enjoying a… a…”

                                                  “Bubble bath!”
                                                  Granny Xi suggested.

“A bubble bath! That’s it. I’m swimming with the duckies. Ducks are such marvellous creatures, don’t you think?”

“Are the ducks names Mr Paek and Grandma Xi?”
Aliyah asked, shifting so that she was leaning with her back against the door, feet on the centre console.

                                                  QUAAAACK!”

                                                  “Rubber ducks don’t-”

                                                  “QUACK QUACK QUACKIY-”

                                                  “Granny-”

                                                  “QUACK!”

                                                  “MR PAEK, SHUT UP!”

                                                  “I’M GRANNY XI!”

                                                  “YOU SOUND LIKE A MAN!”
Granny hollered at Granny Xi, apparently giving up the charade.

                                                  “YOU LOOK LIKE A MAN!”
                                                  Granny Xi countered.

“Please tell me you’re not actually taking a bath with them?” Aliyah asked - totally not wanting that mental image.

“Of course not, you can’t take a bath in a car,” Granny Jo laughed, “YOU WILL NEVER CATCH US, THE WIND IS WITH US, WE ARE FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!”

“Does anyone else think that a bubble bath sounds reeeeally good?”
Grandma Xi asked. Aliyah promptly hung up before Mr Paek could say anything weird about bubble baths. She texted Jordan and Jeremy informing them that the unholy trinity were on the move. Tossing her phone onto the passenger’s seat, Aliyah buckled up and turned the car on, backing out of the parking spot and made her way to the Gilmore’s. Pretty much on time, too.

Once there, she headed up to the house, Mr Paek wasn’t there to tell her that she looked like a gold digger, minus the boob job, which was pretty rich, coming from a guy who ran around in what he insisted were booty shorts but really looked like sequinned underwear, so that was a bonus. She didn’t run into Raj’s adopted siblings, Audrey, Ingrid, and Humphrey, or the Gilmore’s foreign student, Sofian. She did see Cary and Rory, with Binyamin, Audrey’s boyfriend, trying to put together a pile of wooden bricks. “Uhhh, Mr Paek escaped, thought you'd want to know,” Aliyah informed the three men, before heading up the stairs in search of Raj, paper bagin hand.

She found Raj’s room, and knocked twice on the door, before holding up the paper bag in greeting, “I brought breakfast! From Big Bites.”

                                      • For the past twenty-four hours, Satomi had been busily sulking. Her parents had brought up the suggestion that she try and take up Japanese again, something that never went well with her. She had long since denied her Japanese heritage, and rebelled against pretty much anything that tried to tie her down to the country of her birth. Her parents, however, seemed to think that it was a good idea for her to at least open up a little to the thought of it, and since her boyfriend was Japanese they figured that she might be a little more open to it now. Well, they had thought wrong. Sho may be her boyfriend, but she wasn't dating “the Japanese boy”, she was dating “Sho”. To her, there was a difference.

Both of her siblings had figured out that it was a good idea to leave her alone until she finished stewing, so Satomi had the peace and quiet that she wanted, at least for the time being. She loved her adoptive family, as they were the only family she had ever had and the tag “adoptive” didn't really mean anything more to her than any other word in the English language, but sometimes they got on her nerves. Particularly when they tried to get her to learn Japanese. As it stood, she knew enough to get by – as soon as someone said 'kawaii desu yo' in the middle of the English sentence, run away unless you wanted to be asked about Sailor Moon, Totoro, or wasabi. That was good enough for her.

Since her family was leaving her to sulk (she was a professional sulker by now. The only thing she was better at than sulking was guilt tripping people and making them feel terrible about themselves), she quickly grew bored of sitting around the house doing nothing. She'd been flipping through a magazine she'd found in the living room, headphones in, which was the reason why she hadn't heard her cell buzz to alert her to Sho's text. At least, not for a while. Since she had grown promptly bored of the magazine and figured that it was time to move on, Satomi grabbed her bag from where she had hung it earlier, not intending to come home between now and the beach party later that day, ad rooted through it for her keys before heading out the front door.

Unlike a large portion of the Seawall population, Satomi preferred to bike places. The town was small enough that she could get places in a reasonable time frame, and, besides... she would admit to having some slight anger issues sometimes, so it was a good way to burn off some steam in a way that didn't involve hurting someone. As such, she made her way towards Doze, her favourite coffee place, via bike. Upon arriving, she locked up her bike and checked her messages, finding Sho's message from earlier. “Ah, crap. Oh well.” Satomi shrugged, pocketing the cell, making her way inside Doze, and making a B-line for her boyfriend, where she was immediately asked if she had made anyone cry yet. “No, not yet. But it is still early, so give it time. Someone is bound to piss me off between now and sundown.”

As they waited for their orders to be filled, Sho asked Satomi if she was going to the party. Shrugging, Satomi rolled her eyes. “Parties are full of people. Some of those people are idiots. Some of them get drink and become unbearable idiots. So, hopefully it'll be fun. But, yeah. I am going. Arizona and Jennifer are going, and I don't fancy being stuck at home when I could at the very least be out dealing with some somewhat tolerable people.” At that moment, their coffees were filled, so they picked up their coffees and headed out of the crowded coffee shop and into the less crowded street outside. “What about you? You look tired. Sorry. I'm having an honest day.” She said, taking note of the fact that it looked like Sho pulled an all-nighter again. “Dance muse hit you again? Gonna show off those moves at the party tonight?”
