![]() RYAN · Michael · Taylor (Ðøи'ŧ єαŧ ŧħє ƒίsħ.) A trick? Of, he wished it was just a trick. Unfortunately, things weren't quite so simple. Ryan's face darkened slightly, his short temper getting a hold of him. Of course, considering that the other had no idea what was going on, it was quite understandable of him to mistake Ray's idiotic question for a joke of some sort and he knew it, but, goddammit, it was just so frustrating to get laughed at when he was sincerely trying to learn anything! He took a calming breath, registering another male approaching out of the corner of his eye. Great. Another one. This guy probably had no idea whatsoever what's happened either. Ryan studied his features for a moment, before deciding that no, this probably wasn't someone he knew well. There was some recognition, true, but this time it was very faint and he couldn't connect it to absolutely anything. "Not so well, actually, but thanks for asking." He replied to the question dryly. "After a certain, ah, accident." Ray didn't like even thinking, much less talking or even merely mentioning the car crash. He never asked about exact details, but knew that he was the one driving that night and it was enough to make him feel partially guilty. Instead of wallowing, he resolved to be more careful while Jessica or someone of equal importance, himself not included, was in the car. Still, it didn't mean that he felt completely at ease with what's happened. "We—me and my sister, I mean—don't remember things." He raised his head slightly to look the first visitor in the eye. Damn, he hated having to look up to make eye-contact. It completely ruined any attempt at intimidation. Much to his annoyance, being of rather average height, although only sporadically, it still occurred more often than he would have preferred. "I was serious when I asked who you were, you know." He shifted against the door frame. "It wasn't exactly supposed to come out the way it did, though." It was probably the closest to an apology one could expect from him. He hoped the other knew him well enough to appreciate it. And if he didn't? Well, it was his own damn problem. It's not like he's really done something wrong, anyway, and if it were a stranger, he wouldn't bother with saying *anything*. "So I would really appreciate it if you introduced yourselves, or something." He supplied helpfully, in case they hadn't managed to figure it out on their own yet. |
