Living Spikas (Accepting everyone)

Road pointed to her mouth, eyes wide. When the ice cube melted to about half it's size, she swallowed it, surprised at how easily it slid down her throat. She sighed, a visible puff of air coming from her lips. "The only thing is, I prefer darkness to light, and I don't like disappointing people. ..Which kinda includes," she cleared her throat. "Getting yelled at-- I hate it." she looked at him innocently. "That's it, really..."

"I will never yell." He said smiling. "And i usually keep the house dark." he took another bite of the sandwich. "so you really don't have to worry all that much."

"I'm glad." she said, smiling back. She glanced over her shoulder and glared at the refrigerator, then sighed and looked back at Cade. "So where will I be sleeping? Uh.." she folded her hands behind her back. "I usually like to know so that I'm not confused when it comes time that I fall asleep. I'm like.. half-dead and can't think straight when I'm tired."

"of course you'll be sleeping in the room next to mine." He said. "It's upstairs and the second door on the right." He said and smiled. "I hope you like it."

"As long as it's dark in there, I'm sure I will." she adjusted the headband on her head. It was irritating her ears, with all the ruffles. But she 'didn't want to disappoint. She would dress formally in her maid outfit as long as it satisfied Cade.

Cade smiled. "We'll buy you some real clothes later." He said laughing. "I told you we are to be friends. You won't have to ever wear that maids outfit unless you want to."

Road removed her headband and stuck one of the ends in her mouth, rubbing the backs of her ears. "'Fanks." she attempted to say through the headband. "I 'bun wanna be hafing to wear cloffs I 'bun haff to wear." she took the headband out, setting it on a table. "I mean.. Thanks. I don't want to be having to wear clothes I don't have to wear." she smiled nervously and looked at him with apologetic eyes.

He laughed. "We are going to have a lot of fun together." He smiled at her. "I should probably have some clothes that would fit you upstairs." He said walking upstairs slowly for her to follow.

Road followed him carefully up the stairs. "I.. I've never had a friend before. At least.. someone who doesn't treat me like a slave." she smiled slightly.

Cade smiled. "Thats strange neither have i." He laughed. The joke was kind of dark and out of taste. "Sorry. your actually one of the first people to actually talk to me." He said opening the door to his room. he went straight to his closet and pulled out a pair of pajama pants and a loose fitting shirt. "Here you can change into these." He said leading her out of the room and showing her the door to her room.

(( Sorry. I've been watching this over and over for a long time, and it hasn't gotten old. My laughter is so obnoxious that I still need a pillow to block it out. Lol. ))

"One of the first people to talk to you..?" she then realized she was standing in front of her door and turned to Cade, taking the clothes from him. "Okay," she stepped into her room and shut the door behind her, but before she did she looked at him slyly and said "No peeking!"
She came out a few minutes later in the outfit he had picked out for her. A typical boy's outfit, but at least it fit her. She pinched the ends of the shirt and did a little twirl, and giggled. "How do I look?" she joked.
