Eli glanced at Sam and Ian, not really in the conversation that Sonny was replying to, and not overly caring at the same time. He did notice her swinging his hand, and stared at them intently, furrowing his brow. She's... clinging to my hand, and swinging them back and forth, as if she were a ten year old. Ergh... but she's not trying to be annoying, so I guess I'll leave it be. Elijah was easily annoyed with certain things, though he was trying to be pleasent, as today was the first day of the trip, and bad first impressions weren't something Eli favored. Although, usually first impressions were all that Eli gave to people; that was how social he was.
As she replied to his own question, he nodded. He knew he had recognized her accent from somewhere, but just wan't sure where. "Canada is nothing amazing, really. Cold a lot of the time. But Paris... I think it'd be interesting to visit France. I just have a lack of French skills." When he was speaking, his tone was completely serious, as was his expression. At her comment about his hands, he blinked and glanced down at his hand again, taking in the few rings and chipped black polish on his nails. "Umm... thanks. You do too." He felt he needed to compliment her back, to be polite.
Piercings, piercings, piercings... the girl wanted to know about his, and show off her own. Elijah... didn't really care where the girl had gotten herself impaled with a piece of metal, but it was conversation, after all. His eyes watched her pull up her top, and his eyebrows raised slightly at her hip piercings. He wasn't into masochism, and preferred the least amount of pain possible from piercings, so hip piercings were out of the question. His gaze was then directed to her face, where he saw the stud, and inwardly flinched. He had been lucky he had managed to get the piercings he had gotten... Eli was a tad squeamish. "Oh, just three..." He indicated where each were with the hand that wasn't holding Sonny's, and let it fall to his side, glancing at her tongue, his expression clearly stating, Oh, that's nice.
"I'm nineteen... and you're not that young..." Eli shrugged his shoulders, and glanced over to look at what she was doing. Sonny was searching for something, that was obvious, though it confused Eli a tad when she pulled out a lime green cell phone. Which reminded him of his lime green lip ring that he had wanted to put in that morning... but wasn't able to fine. Grounding his teeth in irritation, he tried to forget about his bad morning and focus on what Sonny was asking him. "Take a... picture? Sure, I guess. Whatever you want." He wasn't in the mood to argue, and figured the girl taking a picture wasn't the worst thing that could happen. Besides, he would have felt bad if he had declined, because it was bound to be an irritated snap, and something about the girl made him not want to be rude... maybe her peppy, excited mood was affecting him. That's probably it... Hope she doesn't go too insane with the pictures. Although... maybe I should get out my camera and try to take a few shots? Nah... I'll save that for later. Eli liked photography, but it wasn't well-known, and he preferred to keep it as such, for the time being at least.
