I want to give in to the woman in me.

Vanessa brought her face closer to Ronnie's, managing to pull the most serious face she could think of, and whispered, "I have her. But, just what are you willing to do get her back? Why is she so important to you?"

The girl leaned back in the bar stool. She grabbed for her cup and pulled it towards her lips. The glass touched them ever so slightly, just enough to get a drink, before it was placed gently back onto the bar's surface. As the scene played out, Vanessa felt like a child again playing pretend with the bartender, who in child terms was the equivalent of the silly boy down the lane. It was a nice change in behavior from how she had to act the night before with Nairi. Then she had to be serious. She had to watch herself and make her moves carefully. But now with "George Smith" she felt far more flirtatious and care free. The night was going amazingly thus far.

I want to be somebody they don‘t want me to be.

Do you like the funny way I speak?

Ares was seated in the bar stool, casually chatting with Oliver. Oliver was another boy of the Jersey clique. He was a New York native who had moved to Jersey at age thirteen. It didn't take long for him to become part of the group, although Ares got along with him best. Currently, the pair were facing one another and talking about the massive party that Ian had thrown for Sam.

Oliver was the first to notice the girl who had sat herself next to Ares. He nodded a bit in the girl's direction. Ares raised an eyebrow, peering over his own shoulder at the girl. She seemed to be having some type of issues, although Ares couldn't quite hear what she was complaining about. He felt awkward having her complaining next to him. He couldn't explain why. It just unnerved him to have angry people around him.

"E'suse me, miss, can we halp you?"
questioned the Greek, eyebrow raised.

I’d like to think so.

Mischa looked over at the male who had just questioned her. He had a strange accent, but she understood him perfectly. In fact, she could understand his strange accent better than she could the common Jersey accent in the local areas. "Eh? Oh. Noh, is just me' dress, yah? Not use' to it. Unless ye' have some clothes I can change to, ye' can't help." She smiled apologetically at the male. While she was smiling, she gave him a quick once-over. He was good looking, and he seemed to be like her; non-American. "Me' name ess Mischa, yah? What is yer's, eh?" She was curious to know where he was from, and was fairly certain that his name would tell her. The Russian heiress waited patiently for a response, tapping one of her black pump-shod feet against the bar absently.

Ronnie pretended to be disgusted with the girl, and turned away from her to momentarily satisfy thirsty dancers with the drinks of their choices. He tossed up bottles of water when asked for, and caught them as he threw them up from the freezer's drawer. The boy would slide them down the granite counter top, and they'd catch them or at least attempt to and scurry back to rejoin their group dancing. The boy looked at the Greek, saw that he was busy with either a female or a male that was approaching, and crossed the bar's area and made his way to Nessa once more. Once he locked eyes with her for a moment, the so-called 'Smith' looked away, as if to survey the club, shoved his palms into this pockets and walked to her to the rhythm of the music. This proved to be odd a few times when the beat called for a step back, but such a way, the boy came to her.

Still not looking at her yet, the boy leaned against the surface of the bar, resting his elbow comfortably on top of the stone. Ronnie wasn't simply winging this, he was using his peripheral vision to see the female without looking at her. He moved his head to the left, closer to the Sanchez and his face dangerously close to her ear, the Bliss breathed, "You shouldn't steal other people's agents. She's important to me because she holds the super-secret knowledge of-"
He paused midsentence in contemplation. What exactly did this 'Agent Virgin' hold knowledge of? He racked his brain quickly before continuing on, "She holds the knowledge of-"

This time, he wasn't cut off merely by the loss of his train of thought. Instead, it was a fan. She pressed her hands on them both, gently shoving them apart. The fan smiled brightly at Ronnie, and then said, "So. You playing today?" The boy cocked his head, and said smiling at her politely in return, "Yus'm I am. When everyone's too drunk to remember." The new female's smile faltered and then she continued, "Sooo, how about you and I talk over your new set over a drink?" Ronnie's green eyes grinned that same childish smile, one of a kid who had done something that was considered naughty and was proud of it. The boy had an idea. He hadn't a problem with fans, but he didn't feel much like talking over his set. So, the boy gasped as if he was surprised, and clapped his hands to his face, as if he just realized she was there exclaiming, "Oh my God, it's Foxy Cleopatra!" And with that he dodged the fan and pressed his lips to Nessa's and pulled away enough to look at her good. He said in a low voice so that Nessa could only hear, "That's what I'm willing to do, now you, you tell me where my partner is." To the girl, the musician gave a teasing smile and said, "Of course! What'd you like?" The girl's face had fallen immediately as Ronin did this and merely mumbled, "Nevermind, I'll see you later." It wasn't as if Ronnie had intentionally meant to hurt her feelings. But now that he had, the boy felt a tinge of guilt working its way into him. It unsettled him, somewhat, so sighing and frowning at himself the boy chased her, and asked her a few things, like what song she'd like dedicated to her, and told her that he owed her at least one dance tonight. She seemed satisfied enough, so back to the bar Ronnie went.

He completed a few orders as he went back to Nessa, and brushed his hair to the side as he approached her again. The boy leaned against the back counter top this time, and asked lethargically, "So, where's Agent Virgin? And might I ask who exactly you are, Miss? I've given you a name, you should return the favor." He was becoming lazy, not wanting to man the bar for much longer. He hoped that the birthday boy and his boyfriend would do something that would preoccupy the guests for a while at least, so that he wouldn't have attend to them all the time. He smiled all the same, crossing his arms across his chest. He was also quite aware that he had given her a name, but not his. However, he justified this with it was the name of his agent alias. After all, a secret agent never gave away his real name, just l like a good musician never gave away his secrets.

Vanessa felt lips being pressed against her own, then the bartender had reappeared. She didn't know what to think of the situation. Perhaps the bartender himself was drunk. Shrugging it off, she looked around the room. She was unsure of how she should be feeling about the kiss, although part of her enjoyed it more than she would have liked to admit. A mental note was made by the girl to stay near the bar for the night.

A blond made his way towards the stage, calling for everybody's attention. Vanessa peered around the bartender and looked up at the boy on the stage. It was Ian, Sam's boyfriend, and he was saying something or another about it being time for presents. Suddenly, it felt much less like a bar and much more like a birthday party. Glancing around, she realized there were a few occasional balloons around, albeit they were parts of gifts and not the main decorations.

"That's my cue,"
stated the girl, pointing towards the stage, "I've got to go deal with presents. I'll be back though." With that, the Korean mix kissed the bartender quickly on the cheek and sauntered her way towards the group. Turning slightly, she gave the bartender a grin. "The name's Nessa, by the way," she said over the music and disappeared into the crowd.

Samson swallowed as he grasped the final present. It was blue, with lime lettering of exclamations of "Happy Birthday!" exploding all over the paper. Neatly ripping the the envelope open by the seam, the boy folded it and put it aside. His cheeks were growing hotter as the seconds drug on, as he was in the center of a stage and all eyes focused on him. Sure, they were all his family and friends, but there also was staff. Those were people that he hadn't a faintest clue of who they were. This fact alone caused him to turn a deep color and avoid eye contact with everyone but the other person on the stage, which happened to be Ian. He scanned the card and found that it was from the blond.

Sam looked from the card surprised, and nonverbally questioned the other boy. 'What's with this?' After all, Ian had given him this party full of his family and friends. There was nothing more he could ask for. Sam, the curiosity getting the best of him, tore open the wrapping paper. Staring at him was an object that caused the Searle to laugh aloud, remembering why Ian had gotten him it in the first place. It was nothing to be laughing about, as the scar on his leg was still there, and would be showing had Ian not insisted that he dressed 'appropriately'. Of course, there was that Cadi Camp teeshirt hidden by his shirt, but that was perfectly appropriate in Sammy's mind. But, he held it up for everyone else to get a glimpse of it- a plain black video iPod. Sam crossed the stage and embraced his boyfriend. "Thanks, it's a great birthday really. But you shouldn't have. You already gave me a party." He smiled, pulling away enough to show Ian his gift.

The future‘s near but never certain.

Saying nothing in reply to Sam, Ian pulled on Sam’s arm, dragging the boy outside a different door from the one they had came in. This door led to a small balcony. The balcony was lit dimly with two candle torches and the light of the New Jersey moon. The blond made his way towards the railing, pulling Sam with him as he did so. Once at the railing, he let go of Sam’s arms and rested his own upon the railing. His eyes focused in on the moon, which by this point was high in the sky. He took in a deep breath, exhaling loudly.

“You know, Sam, we’ve known each other three years now. And I don’t think there has been a day that has gone by of it that I haven’t thought of you. Ever since that first kiss out on the stupid hill, you’ve been the only person I could ever think about. Even when we were nowhere near each other, you were the only person on my mind.”

The blond paused long enough to take another breath. He could feel his heart beginning to race, and he began fidgeting with his hands.

“The past year has been one of the best years of my life. You have no idea how happy you’ve made me. And words will never be able to say how much I truly love you.”

He took another pause, long enough to turn and face the brunet. He could feel his own cheeks turning light pink and hoped it was not noticeable in the moonlight. He jammed one hand deep into his pocket, clutching the box that he had been keeping secret the entire summer.

“And before I ask, just know that if you say yes, we don’t have to do anything right away. There’s really no rush. And if you say no, it won’t change the way I feel about you.”

Ian began to feel as though he was rambling and decided to get to the point before he lost all his nerve. He pulled the box that he had been clutching out of his pocket and fell to one knee. “Sam, what I’m trying to ask you is would you marry me?”

At least stay here for just tonight.

{{o o c;; >D WHOO! SAMMEH. IAN. DAYUM. ;D o3o heaven just came on. weird much?}}

From the moment Sam had seen the set up on the balcony, his stomach knew something was up. He could pretend all he wanted, but the boy was not stupid, he knew something was going on. Just exactly what, he hadn't any clue. He didn't realize what Ian was about to do. As the scene unfolded, he noticed Ian was blushing. The boy was a tad thrown off guard, for it was usually him that was the one blushing. Ian then was explaining about saying yes, and Sam became infinitely more aware of something was happening. And there it was. Ian on one knee, jewelry box in hand, opened and asking those four words that little girls dreamed about. Those four words that sealed the deal. Those four words.

They meant so much, they meant a world of change, a world of adventure and working through problems, caring for each other even when you may not like them. They were something that Sam hadn't been expecting, something that had thrown him off guard. And even so, they felt like they were coming. He knew something big was happening, something monumental. And this was just it. Sam breathed in shakily as he looked from Ian to the band inside the box, then back to the blond's face. The boy thought of the consequences. He thought of things technically, things that probably shouldn't have popped up in his head until after he had given an answer. Things that pestered him, such as where would they live? What would Ian's parents think of him? Could they even get married in the states? These worries were put onto hold when Samson stared into his boyfriend's eyes. He took hold of Ian's free hand, and pulled him up to as close as eye level as the boys could be. The Searle had been dumbstruck until that point, thoughts racing, pulse beating so fast he thought he'd faint, but he couldn't help one thing. One simple word slipped out of his lips, and that was that. "Yes." And with that, he bent down and kissed Ian gently, fully glad that he and Ian had met in the first place. It hadn't mattered what happened to the band that brought them together. But they were. And now, they were going to be one unit, and Samson Joshua Searle couldn't love Ian anymore. Ian Mitchell Tailee, his fiancee.

Sekkie smiled as she glimpsed Ian and Sam leaving the room onto a balcony. She was pretty sure what Ian was going to do, but she wasn't going to tell anybody. In the mean time, she struggled to spot Emlen somewhere in the club. Finally, she saw him over by the bar. Taking a deep breath, she walked over and took the seat next to him. She looked over and smiled. "Hey Emmi. Quite the party, isn't it?" Her cheeks were flushed slightly from dancing, but she flushed more when she looked at her friend again. She took another deep breath and looked her friend dead in the eyes. "Emmi, I'm going to say something that's probably going to sound a bit insane to you." She looked down at her hands on her lap for a moment, and then looked back up at him. "But uh.. I like you. A lot. Not normal just-friends like.. Like, I don't know. The best way to say it is I love you." She laughed nervously. "I told you it was crazy, but it's true." She smiled at him, earnestly. Her face was very obviously flushed, and not just from dancing anymore.

I‘ve got my whole life to change the world and climb the ladders.

Ian wrapped his arms around the Sam's neck, pressing his lips hard against the other male's. The ring box was still clutched in his hand. His mind was still in awe. He hadn't been sure of what Sam was going to say. Although he knew Sam loved him, he still had his doubts. However, all these doubts had been washed away by one word. And now he was to be married to the only boy he had ever truly loved. Unwillingly, he pulled himself away from Sam. Opening the box, he pulled out the ring and slid it around the other boy's finger.

"Okay, love, I'm all out of surprises now,"
stated the blond with a smile as he wrapped his arms around Sam's neck once more, "So happy birthday!"

With that, he pressed his lips against Sam's once more before grabbing for the boy's hand and leading him inside the party. He wasn't sure how Sam's family would act to their new engagement. With that in mind, the blond decided that he would wait until Samson mentioned it. There was no need to cause any drama on the special day.

"What would you like to do?"

Looking at you, looking at me is the only thing that matters.

To be frank, the duke wasn't expecting this. And because he was taking a sip on his water as she said this, Emlen pulled his water bottle away quickly and choked on his water. Coughing a few good times, taking his fist pounding against his chest, the boy screwed on the cap with his other hand. The Brit turned to look at her with slightly widened eyes, no longer coughing and maintaining a straight face. He was perfectly serious, and was trying to fulfill his duties as a gentleman and a friend at the same time. To put it in simpler terms, Em was trying to be charming and still a good friend. But with the way she just randomly spouted out her feelings, he couldn't even avoid the subject, by saying he loved her as well, she was a great friend. The dark haired boy cleared his throat and dropped his hands to his lap. He straightened in his seat, and to some extent, looked regal himself.

The boy studied the Czech's face trying to read into it for the words he should say. All that he could squeeze out of her solemn expression was a glimpse of hope, and some nervousness. This was not helping the Englishman. Feeling flustered and tongue-tied, he ran a hand through his groomed hair, pulled his collar further away from him and once again cleared his throat. Emlen began, accent strong, "Lyenka, first off, I'd like to say that you're a beautiful, intelligent young woman, and any fool would be easily falling head over heels for you. But, as the fools seem to be more-" He paused, and started again, "They seem to have an advantage over me in that matter, as I hadn't even realized that you fancied me. I can't lie to you, that'd not be the polite and right thing to do as a gentleman, nor as a friend. You're wicked, amazing, truly, but that. That, I just don't feel for you. You sprung it on me, and I have no reason to say I've felt even the slightest glimmer of attraction in that sense. I'm so sorry." He wore a slightly pained look on his face, but kept his expression firm. He didn't want her to have any hopes. She didn't have one with him as far as he knew. He simply did not see her that way. Sure, she was beautiful. Sure, Sekkie was cheerful, but she was feisty as well. The girl couldn't hold her tongue in an argument, or when someone disrespected one of her friends. Of course, that may appear to be a good quality to have in a friend, but in the limelight of the public, that quality was one not to have. You simply had to bite your tongue and bear whatever insults they hurled your direction. This was not the only reason but one of the main ones. And the Miles heir couldn't forget- she didn't know his biggest secret yet, that he was a duke.

Feeling guilty and unable to deal with the tension, Emlen sighed, gave her a quick peck on the cheek in an attempt of consolation, and snatching the bottle of water off the counter top, he disappeared into the dancing load of people.

Sekkie felt a pang of sadness at Emlen's response, but she nodded and watched him go. She'd hardly felt his light kiss to her cheek. So he didn't feel that way about her. Well, what else had she expected? It's not like I've never been turned down before. She sighed and stood up from the bar, leaving Emlen to wherever he'd gone off to. She'd respect his privacy. Ever so quietly, she whispered to herself as she made her way almost blindly through the crowd of people. "Thank you for your honesty, Emlen." Somehow, she smiled to herself and went through the crowd to find her best friend and roommate, Jin Ae. She spotted her and her cousin Hei Ryung hanging out with Dominique, yet another boy from their apartment. Dominique was holding Jin's hand. Sekkie smiled and walked up to her friend. "Hey. What's up?" She hoped that she didn't sound as, well, strange as she felt. She almost felt like crying, but she also almost felt like laughing.
