He felt her presence there. He heard her voice, knew she was talking to him. Yet he looked ahead, his eyes never leaving the door his mother had disappeared back into. "I know, Ness. I know." Nairi responded softly. With a final look at the door, wishing almost hopelessly that she'd change her mind and come out to apologize and say she was kidding, he turned his gaze to the girl. The male took a deep breathe and whispered, "I just had to stop here. I'm done. Sorry."

His face was void of emotions, he was much too shocked to have them at this point. The Dadian barely registered that he was looking at Nessa. The nineteen year old wordlessly slipped back into the bus.

But I'm a special lover sometimes
But you only touch a ghost
I'm a sycophantic courtier with an elegant repose
And needless to say you're the one that I need the most
'Cause the only one I come undone for is you

Vanessa wondered what had happened outside the apartments. She had her theories, but she didn't want to ask about it. Whatever it is he didn't seem to want to talk about it. Taking one final glance at the apartment complex, the raven haired female made her way back into the bus, following Nairi. Despite the lack of emotion in face, she could tell something was wrong. Why else would he have stopped so late? It obviously wasn't to sleep.

Still the girl walked over to where Nairi was and pulled the blanket off herself. She draped it around the boy, making her moves carefully, remembering that he didn't like to be touched. "Here, take this," she whispered, "I can drive the bus if you want me to. At least move it away from here. Then, if you want, I can make you some tea or some hot chocolate."

Patiently, she waited for an answer from the male. She wanted to be comforting, wanted to be there for him. However, with his dislike for touching, she had to get creative with it. She certainly hoped that he would accept her offer.

[[See, she's not a completely physical being. :3 And she's really trying to help in her own weird way.]]

The Armenian looked at her blankly. She seemed geniunely trying to comfort him. He didn't know why, didn't get it. But with his mind already so muddled, he felt it was best not to ponder on subjects that require a lot of thinking. Nairi felt so heavy, barely able to shuffle to the couch and nod gratefully. He parted his lips, and spoke quietly, "That'd be good. I don't want anyone seeing this place." 'Even I don't want to see this place.' He added wordlessly. The boy looked up at Vanessa, his blue eyes feeling slightly wet before it came to his attention, and immediately stiffened his jaw, and willed himself not to let her have any new notions. She didn't need to know. There weren't any rules that said that you had to tell others what was wrong, Nairi justified. Without any thought of it, the Dadian told her, almost too soft to hear, "Thank you."

He wrapped the blanket around him tighter, laid down on the couch and faced the back of it. The twenty-one year old had a lot of thinking to do.

Vanessa glanced over at Nairi one more time. The boy seemed genuinely upset, and that was what concerned Vanessa the most. Sure, they hadn't known each other very long, but still he hadn't ever looked that upset. Still she had to get the bus away from the apartments. Sitting in the driver seat, the girl started up the bus. A small yawn escaped her lips, and she realized she wouldn't be able to drive too long without getting tired.

She had lost track of the time, but somehow managed to bring the bus into a Wal-Mart parking lot. Her mind drifted back to something a friend of hers had said. It was free to camp in their parking lots. At first thought, this seemed stupid, but with further thought, she realized what they must have been thinking. Campers would come shopping inside the store. However, that wouldn't be the case with her. She had noting she needed to buy.

The bus took up far more than one space in the far corner of the parking lot, and Vanessa silenced it, tossing the keys into the driver seat and making her way over towards Nairi. Kneeling by the couch, she tapped the boy lightly on the shoulder. "So, how about that tea?"

Thoughts were churning in his mind, he picked them up, examined them briefly set them aside for later cross-examination. The few memories of his parents were playing over in his mind, not bothering to stop. Although, Nairi wasn't exactly trying to stop them from coming, so he was partially to blame. However, one thing he was trying to block was the most recent meeting with his mother. He didn't want to relive that anytime soon. But, feeling a light tapping on his shoulder, the venomous words filled his head again, "You’re dirty and not worthy of anything, Nairi." Without meaning to, he cringed from the touch. His attempts at hiding his disgust at being touched were of no use now, not in the state of mind he was in. She was right in his mind, and he wanted to save others from being forced to feel his filth.

Turning over to face her, Nairi blinked twice trying to make himself more awake. He pulled himself to a sitting position and raked his fingers through his bangs. They flopped back into his face, but oddly enough he didn't mind so much now. The Dadian nodded, and stood up, the blanket Nessa had placed on him slipped off of him as he stood up. The boy didn't look at her, more at his bare feet as he asked, "Need help or something?" The twenty-one year old looked at his arms hanging at his sides, then at his hands before pocketing them. They didn't seem dirty to him, but what did he know.

Vanessa found herself pulling all the things she needed and laying them out on the counter. Hearing Nairi's voice, she turned around and looked at boy. He seemed somewhat better, but not very much. However, he was asking if he could help. Thinking about it, Vanessa didn't need any help. She was extremely talented at making teas. Not that it was a very useful talent at times, but it was something she was good at nonetheless. But something made her not want to say that to the boy. He seemed to be feeling down, and she didn't want to do anything that would make him feel worse. Quickly, she grabbed for the tea pot and held it out in front of him.

"You're closer. Here, fill this up for me, if you would,"
she said, still talking quietly as to not wake the others.

Gingerly taking the pot from her, he nodded. Nairi was never much for words, but right now, he didn't feel much like speaking at all. Before turning to complete the small task she had given him, he brought his gaze to her face. Her dark hair was slightly tussled from sleeping, her own blue eyes looked just as tired as he felt, but different than his, she looked a bit concerned, and was carrying herself in an odd manner. 'Like she was walking on glass,' Nairi noted. The boy wasn't upset, just wondering why. She didn't know what had happened. She didn't get what was going on in his mind. But it was kind, and this was something that Nairi sorely missed. His own features softened, and tilted his head slightly as he studied her.

Realizing what he was doing, the Armenian mix quickly turned away and placed the pot directly under the faucet. He turned it on, filled it about half way and lowered the lever to cease the water flow. The college student held it out, refusing to look at her anymore. He didn't like how his mind wondered when he looked at her for too long, or how he was suddenly so much more vulnerable to her. But Nairi wondered if he'd be this open, even as little as it was, with someone else. It was something to think about.

Vanessa took the kettle away from Nairi and placed it on the stove, whispering a faint 'thank you.' It took very little time to get everything tossed into the teapot and get the tea going. Stirring it once, Vanessa sat on the couch, glancing up at Nairi. "Won't take too long," she whispered, finding the silence between them slightly awkward. She knew Nairi didn't talk much, but it didn't help the situation. But more than anything, she wanted to be a good friend. She'd let him talk when he wanted to. "You can sit down if you want," said the girl, shrugging her shoulders lightly, "I won't touch you or anything." It felt odd saying that, but she wasn't sure what the say to the boy. Secretly, she hoped he appreciated her actions, even if it was only a little.

{{o o c;; he's acting up.}}

Nairi did as she suggested without complaint, and plopped on the couch. "I know." He said aloud. But much much quieter, he murmured, "I'm filthy, no need to mention it." He redirected his attention out of the window, finding himself at a Wal-mart. The white block letters were all lit and illuminating the space around them all except the 't'. Walmat. Nairi's lips slightly tugged upwards as he tried to picture a room with carpeting all up and down the walls and floors. It looked hideous. He thought aloud without realizing that the words weren't only being voiced to himself, but to Nessa as well. "I wonder if two people can ever stay together. I mean, sure, they might be in love for a while, and seem like they have these bonds that are unbreakable, but are they really that strong? There's all sorts of small things that can sever them. Like going out with the guys one night too late with a jealous wife at home, or, or money. Yeah, money."

The Dadian stared at the stars above the building, trying to make sense of the little dots. White and sprinkled all across the navy blue blanket we called the sky in no particular pattern, they made him curious. He wasn't exactly thinking of his parent's relationship, he had moved on to in general. To give up on love, or to go forth and find it, that was on his mind. The Armenian's thoughts were scattered and full of questions due to his shock. He felt hazy and almost as if he wasn't actually himself, merely a spectator watching from the safety of his subconscious. The boy said much softer, "It's the biggest wrecking ball if I ever knew one." Too many times he had heard of money problems shattering even the purest of loves. Too many times had he comforted his girl friends with kind words that seemed almost like a stranger putting words into his mouth. But it was simple as that; money was a horrible thing.

[[She talks a lot here. XD]]

It took a moment for Vanessa to realize that Nairi was talking. Silently, she listened toe everything he had to say. However, her mind had gotten hung up on one particular thing he had said. He had called himself filthy. Despite everything else he said, she was focused mainly on that first part. Why had the boy called himself that? Glancing at him, she realized he couldn't have meant in a physical sense. After all, he looked pretty clean to her. Moving past that, she continued to listen to everything he had to say. Nairi had a pessimistic view of love, Nessa noted.

Once the boy finished speaking, Vanessa added in what she wanted to say. "First off, I don't know what happened at those apartments or who told you you're filthy, but, Nairi, you shouldn't listen to them. Don't let anybody define you, but you. I didn't want to touch you because you don't like to be touched. Trust me, if it weren't for that, I would have already clung ---Oh, my mouth's getting ahead of my brain again," she sighed, running her fingers through her hair, "Anyway, money doesn't always ruin relationships. Sometimes, there's trust issues or flat out cheating." Another sigh. "I guess my views on love aren't particularly great either. But I'm still hopeful, and I think that's where your problem is. You don't seem to be very hopeful for a good relationship. You won't let yourself open up to anybody. But I'm probably the last person on earth that should be giving you advice for a good relationship. Probably better to talk to---" The tea kettle gave off a faint whistle, "Tea's done." With that, Vanessa rose from the couch and walked over to the stove. Two cups were set on the nearby counter, and the girl scooped them up and poured some tea into them. She took a sip from one cup and presented the other one to Nairi. "Here you go," whispered the girl, giving a small but hopeful smile.

The boy continued looking out of the window, rather than at her. He wondered if wishing on a star really did make dreams come true, or was it another story that the people told children to help them remain optimistic. Nairi took the cup from her with a small “`anks,” from his part, and looked at the tea, mulling over what she had said. Of course, he realized by then that he had spoken out loud. A faint pink blush had pulled over his cheeks, and realized he was coming too vulnerable for this, too exposed to this girl. What was with her, how could she possibly have this power over him to cause him to spill like this? The twenty-one year old worried silently over this, was she actually interested in this conversation, or was she merely responding as a polite person would.

The Armenian pressed the heel of his palm to his forehead, wiping at his eyes, trying desperately to stay awake and rid these horrible thoughts that cause conflict within his mind. Nessa, only she made him this confused. He had too many thoughts already dealing with his parent’s decision to split and the heap that had now been dumped to the pile dealing with Nessa was not helping. “Nothing happened there. I just was looking at the building. I visited that place a few times, wanted to see if it still was there. I am pessimistic, I suppose, but I have good reason.” The male fibbed to his tea. He took a sip, and realized it was good. He personally didn’t really care for tea, but this was okay. It sort of surprised him.

Vanessa shrugged her shoulders and sat on the couch, sipping at her tea. He didn't seem to want to talk about the apartments much, so she decided that she would let it go for now. Instead she would focus on trying to cheer the male up. "Well, you know, if you ever need somebody to talk to, I'm here," she said, trying to keep the conversation from dying, "Also here for tea, obviously." She gave another smile and lifted her cup towards her lips, taking another small sip.

She glanced over at the boy once more. He looked worn down and tired, but somehow he still managed to look gorgeous. Nessa mused over the thought for a second. Was it humanly possible to be so upset but still so gorgeous? However, she cursed herself for thinking these thoughts. He was unhappy. She was supposed to be comforting him. Those thoughts would have to wait until later.

Nairi took another small sip of his tea, and said to her, " Thanks." He felt the conversation die as he stirred the liquid with his tea bag. The boy cleared his throat uncomfortably. He shifted in his seat and tried again at conversation, "This good. What kind is it?" It was lame, stupid, and a one word answer was only needed. The Dadian felt like sleeping as the warm liquid worked it's magic on him. It gave him a full, warm feeling in the pit of his stomach, and made him relaxed. Warm liquids always had that effect on him, ever since he was a child. He let his head rest aganist the back of the couch, his eyes feeling sort of heavy. Nairi blinked them, took a sip of his tea, struggled to keep them open and set the mug on the table.

Niko awakened in the middle of the night. Or was it morning? He wasn't sure. He wasn't sure why he had woken up in the first place. As he tried to roll over to make himself more comfortable, he realized what the problem was. Clung around his waist was a pair of arms. Peering over, he noticed Kyo sleeping soundly next to him. So that was who was clinging to him. Niko tried to wiggle his way out Kyo's grip to make himself more comfortable, only to realize just how stuck to him the boy was. Groaning sleepily, he managed to grumble, "Kyo, let me go," putting emphasis on the word 'go' as though he were a small child.

Are suddenly shaking inside.

Just close your eyes.
We’ll hope it’s not for

Kyo grumbled at Niko sleepily. "But I'm comfortable," he whined, digging his face into Niko's back. Then he opened his eyes and looked up, blinking. "The heck..?" Kyo looked down and saw his arms wrapped around his new friend. He loosened his grip on Niko and pulled away a bit. Moving made his head hurt, and a pounding headache landed itself on Kyo's brain, causing him to wince. "Oww.. Damn, am I hung over or something..?" He continued muttering sleepily to himself, sitting up slightly on one arm, the one that was still under Niko. He blinked blearily and remembered that he was on a bus. Why he was there and how he got there was still a mystery.
