Sam considered that. He hadn't been to the ocean in a while either. And from what he knew about the other male, he needed the ocean like Sam needed almost daily outdoor activity. He made a mental note to have Roxxie stop at the ocean later as he slid onto the empty seat next to him. Taking his tall frame and backing it up against the swing until the swing was about as high as his hips and slipping into it as he swung forward. The twenty-two year old pumped his legs back and told Ian in the same fashion, "I am, but I'm having a bit of a height problem."

To be frank, he was. The swings were made for kids, and at six foot four and three quarters, Samson wasn't a kid, not in the least. As he pumped his legs, sometimes they'd drag on the floor or stop him from going higher because of hitting them momentarily on the sand.

Ian looked over at Sam. The brunet was having problems swinging due to his height. The blond stopped his own swing, slamming his feet into the ground, and began to laugh. He knew it wasn't right to laugh at Sam for his inability to swing, but Ian couldn't help himself. He shook his head slightly, standing up from his own swing. "Okay, come on, giant," he said, giggling slightly and extending his hand, "Let's go find something height friendly."

He tried to think of something to do. Glancing around the park, his eyes fell upon the merry-go-round. "Want to go spin? It's either that, a sandbox, or roll down a grass hill." Thinking about, Ian realized how few options they had. See-saws were certainly not made for tall people, or quite frankly adult males for that matter. The slide was occupied by some children, and he knew Sam was too tall for the jungle gym. He himself was probably too tall for that.

There’s no turning back for us tonight.
Lace up your shoes, here’s how we do.
Run baby, run. Don’t ever look back.
They’ll tear us apart if you give them the chance.
Don’t sell your heart, Don’t say we’re not meant to be.
Run baby run.
Forever, we’ll be you and me.

Roxxie nodded, but pointed out, "He's only nice to you because he wants honey. He'd go aum aum on your face if I didn't tell him the consequences first. As for our destination, I was hoping you'd help us, Tommypants. Know any good clubs to get infected with dance fever?" The girl tilted her head slightly as she said this. She figured that the crew had up to their ears of driving and waiting in the car, and dancing was in order. She had also picked up on the usage of 'Foxy Roxxie'. The redhead liked that, she could deal with being called that occasionally. Roxanne had a funny feeling about the club. As if she had clairvoyance, she thought that something might change the group's perspective on each other there.

Crossing the room to go use the toilet, Emlen whistled a tune. It was faintly familiar, but he had forgotten the name. His hand curling around the handle, he tried opening the door but no cigar. His whistling stopped as the Brit knocked on the door and called out, "You 'bout done?"
--
Jerking his head to the closed door, the blue eyes of the Armenian mix narrowed. There was no mistaking it, it was that new guy, the guy that was oh-so-popular with everyone. Nairi simply didn't get it, how could he be so welcomed and he was avoided like the plague? He flipped his sketchbook closed, gathered his pencils and eraser and flung the door open. "Yes." He stated through gritted teeth.
--
The duke blinked once and smirked. He knew this kind of guy, troubled and in need of someone to pat them on the back and say it's okay. But Emlen knew he wouldn't get better unless forced to. He also hadn't missed the way Nairi's temper flared if he did something even remotely flirtatious with a Korean mix that just so happened to go by Nessa. The foreigner wasn't stupid, he knew that Nairi liked her, even if he wouldn't admit it. So, as if he was going past him, the Englishman took a step forward. But instead of continuing on, he put his hand on Nairi's shoulder and brought his face closer. It was common knowledge that touching and the twenty one year old didn't get along well. The boy immediately tensed up, and Emlen whispered in his ear, "She won't ever know you like her unless you show her. And usually, acts of kindness show interest. If you don't do anything, I'll take that as a green light to go for her. "
--
The male threw the newcomer's hand off of him with his free hand. He was so angry he could spit. Had it not been for his non-touching rule, the Dadian child would have thrown a punch at him right then and there. "Never touch me again, Miles. And if it's a challenge you want, you'll get it." The boy hissed. He made sure not to touch him and stormed away, and then down the stairs. Smiling softly to himself, the duke watched as Nairi left him, saying to the boy's back quietly, "It's about time, Dadian. It's about time."

Waiting on the world to change
Now if we had the power
To bring our neighbors home from war
They would have never missed a Christmas
No more ribbons on their door
And when you trust your television

Vanessa walked in the bus, eying the pair on the floor. She raised an eyebrow, shaking her head slightly and walking by. She made her way past them, her guitar on her back. Heading towards the stairs, she peered up, spotting Nairi on his way down. Her eyes widened slightly. Wasn't he downstairs just moments ago? Shrugging it off, she waited at the bottom of the stairs, allowing him to go down first.

"You don't look very happy," she stated, twisting her face in a curious manner, "You really should have taken a nap, dear. Those always make things better."

Nairi's face was twisted into a look of disgust and he spun on heel to see the female. He couldn't even start to understand why she seemed so keen on Emlen. The boy sighed and tried to relax his face. It wasn't her fault he was such an imbecile, thinking that he liked her that way. He just had to win this. He just had to be polite. 'Oh, who am I kidding, I can't do that s**t.' Nairi thought angrily. The boy's grip loosened and tightened immediately after. He couldn't have her see anything. The Armenian mix crossed his arms, pocketing his pencils before. "I'm not tired. And yes, you guessed right, congratulations. Your little friend pisses me off."

Feeling no further need to go into it, the twenty-one year old continued down the stairs and slumped onto the couch. He was growing sick of seeing all these people's faces every waking minute and especially of the duke. He simply needed a break, and was looking forward to the club.

Nessa made her way up the stairs, her eyes falling on an object that had been dropped. She assumed it had been Nairi's, but curiosity told her to check the contents. In one swift movement, she scooped it up and continued upstairs. I wonder what it is. She placed her guitar near her sleeping area and fell into a bed. The book was plain on the outside. It gave off the appearance of a sketch book. This intrigued Nessa. Was Nairi really an artist? There was only one way to find out. She pulled the pages open, mouth gaping at the details of the pieces within. At the last drawn on page, her eyes widened. It didn't take long for her to realize who it was inside that picture. It was none other than herself. Somehow, she felt as though she shouldn't be looking at the book and slammed it shut.

Rising from the bed, the Korean mix made her way back down the stairs with the notebook securely in her arms. She walked over towards the couch that Nairi was slumped on. "Hey Nairi, you dropped this. I just thought I'd bring it back down here to you. You know, after I put away my guitar." She held out the notebook in Nairi's direction with a small smile.

Dominique smiled. It made him feel good to know he was trusted by his girlfriend. Trust was a really important thing, especially to Dominique. When he said he was going to do something, he did it. Unfortunately, with a lot of people this wasn't the case. Dominique had been told he was far too trusting, and had thus become rather hard to earn trust with. Jin had done it quickly, earning his trust in a friendly way for a long time. "I am glad. I do not think I could live with myself if you were untrusting of me." Gently he kissed her nose and smiled again, resting his arms around her back, locking his fingers together. Yes, he was very happy to know that she trusted him. It meant all the more for their relationship.

These words will be here
To ease every fear and dry up every tear
And make it very clear, I kiss you and I know
It is love from the first
Time I pressed my lips against yours
Thinking, 'Oh, is it love?'

"I haven't been in many solid relationships," commented Niko, "My longest one was a year with this one guy. Only he moved back to Portugal, so we decided to just be friends. Everybody else seems to be just in it for looks and money. Hoping to meet somebody different." The Korean looked over at the couch, noticing his sister talking to another male. She seemed to be rather fond of that Nairi guy, despite his general coldness. However, he trusted his sister's judgment and left them to their own. He redirected his attention towards Kyo, smiling somewhat at the boy. It was a small smile, but only due to the fact he hated showing his braces.

Swimming is a confusing sport.
Because sometimes you do it for fun
And other times you do it to not die.
And sometimes, I don’t know which one it is.
I got to go by the outfit,

Bathing suit? Okay.
Naked? We’ll see.

Tommy stroked his chin in mock thought. Sure, he knew where the clubs were. Hell, he went to one every weekend. Shrugging, he gestured in the air randomly. "There's a few here and there. There is one I really like to go to though. Do you have a map so I can show you?" He scratched the side of his head, letting his other hand fall to his lap limply. "As for you, Mister Pooh, if you ever gnaw on me, you'll be very sorry!" He waggled a threatening finger in front of the bear.

Back in the days where the magic exist
Never be the same as it was, 'cuz the way it was
Just another day in the maze of a myth
Had a lot of fun living life on the run,
Never had a chance to pause to get a better glance
Everything was free and everything was fast
Never even thought it wouldn't last

♥Lessons Learned: Girls like English accents.♥

Nairi snapped out of his thoughts, and looked at the object Nessa was holding. A book. To be specific, his sketchbook. He slaved over those drawings, some of them being of ex-love interests, random people on the streets, young and old, male and female, the boy didn't discriminate in his drawings. The Armenian mix snatched the book back, worried that she saw the last drawing. 'Oh God, she probably thinks I'm a stalker now. I didn't even realize it was her. ******** ******** ********] He cursed silently. Already in a bad mood due to Emlen's behavior, the boy now was freaked out, and asked in a much harsher tone than intended, "Did you look at anything?" Nairi's forehead wrinkled in worry.
--
After doing his business and washing his hands, Emlen sauntered down the stairs just in time to see the boy wear a worried look and demand if she had looked in it. A smile curled his lips upwards, as he wondered what, in fact, was so precious that Nessa couldn't look at. So with a few giant steps and a sweep of the arm, the English boy had the sketchbook in his hands. "My dear, may I remind you of our little challenge? From the looks of it, you're not doing well at all."
He clicked his tongue disapprovingly and flipped through the pages, even when Nairi tried to grab it back. "Lovely drawings, you actually migh- ooh. What's this?"He smiled broadly and flipped it shut and gave it back. "Looks like there's something after all, Dadian." Although he knew he was being completely opposite of his genuine character, the Miles child knew that this was the only way to make a big enough impact that some changes would occur soon. He felt slightly guilty about it, but figured in the long run, it'd all work out nicely.
--
Nairi's face felt hot, as he glared back at the duke. He couldn't believe it. He saw the drawings that he never let anyone else see before. He snatched it back and held it tightly to his chest with one hand. "You're despicable, and that was nothing, Miles. I was bored, and I didn't realize what it was until I was finished. And even if I'm not into this challenge, I'll still beat you, just to rub it in your face." He breathed furiously. He didn't know how, but he was going to win Nessa's affection. The boy didn't even know how to act; he never was one of those touchy-feely people, or those happy open-with-their-emotions ones either. He just was Nairi, a sort of cynical person, with a flirtatious nature. And to say the least, the male had no idea how to treat a lady with respect and kindness, at least in a gentlemanly manner. But perhaps not everyone looked for a gentleman, or at least so Nairi hoped.

Kyoshi smiled lightly back. Stretching, his stomach grumbled slightly audibly from somewhere in Kyoshi's tummy-area under his shirt. He sent a wider, sheepish grin at who he thought of as his new friend, and scratched his cheek. "Say, have you got anything to eat? I think I'm hungry. My stomach thinks so, anyway." He laughed to show the joke in the matter. Kyoshi was a dork like that, he always made stupid jokes about things. But he looked a bit expectantly at Niko. Kyoshi didn't know where anything was in the kitchen yet. Within the next few hours, he probably would. But right after getting on the bus he wouldn't have a clue.

The redhead stood up and tottered to the driver's seats and dug through the pile of maps on the passenger seat. "Kansas, Montana, Minnesota....Missouri!" She murmured to herself, saying the last state louder than all the rest triumphantly. The girl held up the paper proudly and scurried over to him with a pen that she picked up from the seat as well. "Here, mark the dotted line, and 'x' marks the spot. Or, you could just show me the way, you know." Roxanne smiled as she said this. She was growing eager to get to the dance club and just have fun.

Vanessa stared at the two arguing back and forth. They were talking about some challenge. When had they posed a challenge to one another? When had they even talked? She folded her arms across her chest and fell into the couch, sitting next to Nairi and glancing at the two boys. For once, the girl had no idea what was being talked about. It unsettled her slightly. She hated being out of the loop of things.

"You guys, what is going on?" she questioned, staring up confusedly at Emlen for an answer, "I feel like I'm missing something."

Her glance fell towards Nairi, "And you!" Her voice sounded slightly irritated, but it softened quickly, "Nice drawing." She nodded her head a little and leaned in to kiss the boy on the cheek. However, her mind reverted to his no touching policy, and she pulled away. "You're talented. One of the best artists I've seen," she added, trying to cover up the almost kiss.

"Open the fridge, get whatever," replied Niko, "I'm not sure which cabinet has what in it. I've been pretty much relying on Sam and Ian for food. Sam is an amazing cook!"

He thought about it. It was a good thing that Sam could cook. Ian couldn't to save his life. Niko had learned that from experience. Not only had Ian almost caught his own kitchen on fire, the pair had almost caught Niko's kitchen on fire. Never allow Ian to make you a birthday cake, ever.

"As I was saying, help yourself, cutie!"
Niko hadn't realized what he tacked onto the end of his statement. Realizing it, his eyes widened, and he pointed to the cabinets, "There. Food. Yeah." He laughed nervously.
