It reminded her so much of the comments she had made on the beaches of California just before coming on the road trip, dripping with self-love that covered the insecurities. Still grinning, her focus fell upon the two in the back of the bus. The blond's head resting peacefully in the other's lap, the pair talking and just staring at one another. For a slight moment, in the back of her mind, Vanessa Sanchez was jealous of the pair. They seemed like the perfect couple.

"Well, we've known each other about an hour, I'd say," she said, allowing her grin to fade away, "And so far it's been pretty nice if I do say so myself. Of course, it is me we're talking about." That same confident look fell over her face once more. For the moment, she was confident in herself. However, that part portion of her mind wasn't sure just how long the confidence would last. Nairi couldn't have that much of an effect on her, could he?

The boy returned her self-assured smile, but her suggestion was nagging at him. Nairi was not one for touching, flirting was more his forte then the actual physical part of the relationships. He didn't want to 'have her' as they referred to it, but nor did he want her to think that he was a coward. Nairi Dadian wouldn't stand to be known as a coward. So, fetching the bottle out of his pocket, the male set it on the counter next to the fridge. "You asked for it." With a quick glance to the couple, he slouched his shoulders, and nonchalantly crossed the room.

If the twenty-one year old was going to do anything, it was always going to be his own way. Never would he be forced into doing things a cookie-cutter, cliche kind of way. This proved a problem sometimes, though, as he wouldn't just go out and flat out say the things his partner wanted to hear. And it was because of this, Nairi did the following. The boy stopped abruptly in front of Nessa, and looked at her like it was simply an accident that he was there in front of her. He bent down, till his and her faces were barely apart. The Armenian mix's face moved in closer, continuing on until there was only a sliver of space between them. Had he moved any closer, he would be kissing Nessa. Nessa, a girl he had only just met, just as flirtatious, who reminded himself of what he was truly like, and for some reason, he couldn't just leave her alone.

But as stated earlier, the Dadian child was not one for touching. And because of this, the boy just merely looked at her, and softly said, "But I'm not sure if I want you after all." He turned his head, flicking the hair out of his face, but at the same time using this to get a little room between them. He didn't know what he thought he was going to do. 'Did I really think for a second I was going to kiss her? Excuse me, but are you a whore, Nai? Only whores would do that.' His mind nagged at him. But really, the college student was thinking over his statement. The boy could go to a party, and just take one of the girls that went up to him and do whatever with. Did he really want to continue this act, this charade? That he was some big man that could get laid easily? That was a big shot, could do whatever he pleased? And more importantly, how was this going to work, with this roadtrip? Because, as much as Nessa was attractive to him, he did not want start off the whole summer with a girlfriend. 'She probably is just looking for someone to flirt with anyways, it's nothing personal, kid.'

Vanessa Sanchez did not like Nairi, or so she thought. She laid on the couch, staring emptily at the boy, contemplating the possibilities. His face was too close too hers. Too close for comfort. She could almost feel his breath against hers. Boys weren't meant to be that close. Especially not boys like Nairi, who quite possibly were incapable of loving no one besides themselves. Of course, she didn't want to believe deep down that he was that conceited. He was sure of himself, but somewhere in there, he had to like other people. Hopefully he was like her, and this was all an act. Only she hoped he wasn't as internally messed up as she viewed herself to be. There was only room for one person just like her on this bus.

The physical closeness of the two was something to be seen, if the people on the bus weren't drawn into their own worlds the way they were. They were too close to be innocent. No. This was no longer innocent, middle-school level flirting. They were moving fast. They were becoming closer. Even if it wasn't to the point of a relationship, it was fast. Vanessa usually grew bored with boys before they made it this close to one another. The fact their lips were almost touching was a sign of something. Something hidden, something waiting to come out.

And it did come out because at that moment, Vanessa lifted up just enough to bring her lips softly against Nairi's. It was a small kiss, nothing more than a peck, but it was sparks. The raven-haired girl pulled away quickly, once more resting her head upon the couch, staring at the boy.

"Sorry, you were asking for it. Your lips all in my face and stuff, cutie."

With that, Vanessa Sanchez realized that she could possibly end up liking this Armenian flirt called Nairi.

The boy blinked a few times, considering about the events that had happened. He had set himself up, not even thinking about what kind of girl this was. The fault was all his. Nairi smirked, wiped his mouth with the back of his hand like a child afraid of cooties. He felt so disgusting, even as small as the contact was, even if it was short lived, it gave him a disgusting feeling. Trying not to show his discomfort, the male raised his chin an arrogant manner saying, "Yeah, you've confirmed my suspicions. I don't want you."

He laughed briefly, before going on, saying, "The name's Nairi Dadian, girlie. I know, it's not as adorable as cutie, but you're gonna have to remember that." He merely mentioned this because Nessa had called him cutie about three times now, and he was wondering whether or not she actually knew his name. And if they were going to be flirtatious friends, and sharing confined spaces, no matter how large, they better know each others' names. He already knew hers, or at least, her first.

But no matter how much he disliked touching, for a brief moment, he wondered if he'd grow accustomed to touching Nessa. Vetoing that idea as probably not possible, Nairi stood up straight again. He placed a hand in his pocket and retrieved his Vault. Taking a swig of the drink, he suddenly had it occur to him. The male had never seen her around before. Curious to know the story, he asked, "So, you new in town or something? I've never seen you around."

Everyone seemed to be heading onto the bus, and... Eli really didn't feel like going at that moment. The way he figured it, he could stall for another few minutes before the others would start getting irritated. Or... maybe not... With a sigh, Elijah picked up his bag and headed towards the bus. He was only a few feet away from it, but he tried to take as long as possible in walking towards the foul beast that he was going to be living on for the next.. long while. He outwardly shuddered. "Damn bus..." Eli said, glaring at it before noticing another person was still outside and turning bright red. He had thought he was along, and had spoken rather loud... hopefully the other male hadn't heard his declaration of irritation.

To cover up for it, he decided to call out to the other male. "Hey, you getting on the bus anytime soon?" He wasn't sure what made him do it, but maybe it was 'cause the other male was alone, like him.. or some deep and meaningful crap like that. Maybe it was temporary insanity. But in any case, he paused at the door, and stared, waiting for the other to reply.

Vanessa ignored his first two comments, merely remembering full name and nothing more. She didn't want to hear he didn't want her, and being called girlie didn't sound that lovely. She even ignored him wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. She directed her attention up towards the ceiling, trying not to look at the male. Because despite trying to ignore his actions, the girl did see them, and they didn't exactly give off the vibe she had been hoping for.

He had asked her another question, and she decided she'd answer that. "I've never lived here. I'm a friend of Ian's from his hometown. Decided to come to get away from my family."

She had to stop talking there before she said too much. This boy didn't need to know her personal life, at least not that extent. He could know the basics, but she didn't trust people enough to let anybody know the real story. Niko knew the whole story, and perhaps Ian. But they didn't count. She had known them far too long to not trust them.

The girl quickly glanced over at Nairi but looked away soon after. She thought about herself a moment. She seemed so weak and human-like right now. So far from her normal goddess-like personality that she usually paraded around with. Moving from her laying position, she sat up and crossed her legs, Indian-style.

"So, it'd be pretty weird if you had seen me before. And what about you, mister? Or do want me to address you by your name every time? "

Ian shrugged his shoulders casually, "Guess so. All I know is I'm not driving. I'm bad at planning things. Didn't even think of drivers."

He glanced up at Sam, noting a small look of distress on the other male's face. His own face fell a little the sight. He poked gently at Sam's stomach, giving the boy a small smile.

"What's wrong, Sammy?" questioned the boy, still smiling up at the boy. Sam's upcoming birthday hadn't crossed Ian's mind today. He already had what he wanted to do planned, and he knew what he wanted to get the boy. The concept of time was just something rather foreign to Ian. He couldn't keep up with time to save his life.

Tell you what I really want to know

The boy nodded, capped his bottle meanwhile thinking, 'Makes sense. I'm only going to see her this trip then.' For reasons unknown to the male, this wasn't sitting too well with him. However, he merely ignored this and considered her other statements. Nairi tossed the bottle up in the air and caught it, and tossed it up again to repeat the process.

He had a tendency to play with objects while thinking, hence the bottle. Catching it and sending it back into the air, his blue eyes following the Vault all the while, "Emerlie's pretty much my home. Been going here since I was eighteen. Tennessee, as much time I spend there, it's not my home." Nairi didn't want to give the impression that he was bitter about this, that was his own personal feelings, not for strangers to know. No one knew that he loathed going there, and always was stoked to return to the small Manhattan apartment. But the male's home was not there, for he barely spent more than two month intervals there, and Tennessee simply did not feel like one. The college student realized how sad it was to consider your school your home, but it was true. Simple as that.

Vanessa thought about the concept of home for a moment and how much it didn't fit it. House and home were two different concepts. She had a house. She was pretty sure her family had a few houses, but none of them were home. Home was supposed to be filled with love and care. Home was supposed to be brimming with family. No, Vanessa didn't have that. She had a house, which consisted of two parents who probably wished Niko had been the only of the two born. Niko loved her, she knew that, but he wasn't enough to make the mansions feel very homelike. It was these thoughts which led her into saying, "At least you have a place to call home."

Shrugging her shoulders, the girl pretended the thought of a house and not home didn't bother her. Even though, deep down, she longed for a place she could call home. It didn't matter though. For the summer, houses and homes were the last thing she cared about. For now, these thoughts wouldn't bother her.

"We really need to lighten the mood," grinned the girl in Nairi's direction, "So, boxers or briefs?" The girl wiggled her legs a bit. "Judging by the bagginess of the shorts, I know there's at least room for boxers under here."

Niko grinned at the two boys he had been talking to before turning to address the new voice. It was another male. Ian certainly invited a lot of them. He wondered just how unequal this trip would be when it came to genders. Of course, if the girls were anything like his sister, then the gender differences wouldn't really matter.

"Yeah, yeah, I'll get on in just a few!" He said, grinning at the other boy. Niko realized the other male was also attractive. That was another thing about Ian. His friends tended to be either really extreme or really attractive. Of course, some of them were both.

Nairi pretended to think about this very seriously. In reality though, he was barely managing to hold back a laugh. He squinted his eyes, looked up towards the ceiling, and caught the bottle for a final time before setting it back onto the counter top. The male answered slowly, turning his eyes back to Vanessa, "That could be one reason. Or you know, I could just need that room." He smirked at that, and shrugged.

The twenty-one year old bent his head, and pulled his own pair of shorts out enough to check what kind of underwear he was wearing. "Yeah, no. Briefs aren't my thing. I like to feel the breeze, you know." Snapping his waistband back to its normal position, he looked up through his bangs and continued on, "I would ask you but that'd kind of be pointless. Nice ones, anyways, black and pink. 'Fraid mine are just blue plaid right now. Not nearly as fashionable as yours."

Nessa couldn't help but laugh at Nairi's response. In reality, she had been expecting something along the lines of what he said, but it was still amusing to the girl. She tugged on the waist band of the shorts were draped around her own figure, peeking at her underwear and the space inside the shorts. A silly grin came across her face. This is insane.

"I do tend to have fashionable underwear," the girl finally replied, allowing the waistband to go back into place, "I actually think I have a bra that's blue and plaid." She raised an eyebrow as thought about this, "Kind of creepy, now that I think about it. I'm not sure if our underwear is supposed to match."

Thinking about it for a moment, Vanessa was glad the conversation had changed to something more candid. It had been getting too serious a few moment ago, and she wasn't sure how much longer she could have handled it.

Chance shifted his golden gaze to another male who was on his way into the bus, and had just randomly popped out a question at Niko. Grinning some he was about to intrude but thought better of it, it was far more fun making trouble while in the bus rather then outside and around it. But then again that was just his preference. Shifting his weight from one foot to the other Chance looked over at the shy boy that was talking with him and Niko earlier. Obviously he had some self esteem issues, rare in the group of somewhat egotistical people. Nibbling on his lower lip he took in their surroundings, they must've been the last people to get in, oh great. That meant crappy or very uncomfortable seating arrangements. Lifting a hand in salute to the two he'd been talking with Chance gave a cocky grin. "See you guys down under." Then ducking around the male standing in front of the door Chance jumped up into the bus, his eyes adjusting to the dimmer lighting.
