It had been a long and hard trip, but Zoey had pushed through all her obstacles to get to this very moment. She had trailed all the way from the parking lot, climbed up the monstrous stairs, and survived the last stretch of hallways. Now only one thing stood in her way, that being a door. A door with a door knob that needed to be unlocked and opened. This seemed like it would be easy, but not for Zoey. Not with the baggage she had. Over her shoulder was Lunch's little apartment with him restless inside. But that wasn't the worst of it. The worst was the giant rolling suitcase she had somehow managed to fit everything she needed into. At the time, it seemed like forcing everything into one suitcase was a good idea. But she was rethinking that when she had been fighting to force it up the stairs. Now her arms were sore and she really just wanted to plop down. Not a good feeling when one wanted to run around the whole school and meet everyone.

She slipped her hand into her purse and pulled out her key, having to pause a moment. She closed her eyes while letting out a sigh. 'Luke and Jake aren't here.. it's okay.' She mentioned to herself before finally thrusting the key into the lock and quickly turning it. Zoey's fear of unlocking doors with keys was years old, ever since her two brothers had pulled a prank on her that involved a door knob, a key, and electricity. Now Zoey preferred to just keep her door unlocked and leave it at that. It's not like she went around advertising that though. She didn't want her crap to get stolen. That's where Lunch, her guard Chihuahua, came in. he could be pretty intimidating for a little guy.

With the key back in her purse, most likely never to be used again, Zoey took in a deep breath. This was exciting. She was finally going to be able to see her new room. She had thrown some money together with her parents to arrange for a different and better dorm room this year. While she had loved last years dorm, this one had a bigger kitchen and a walk in closet that Zoey would adore! She could barely fit everything into her old room. She also asked for a larger balcony, since that was probably her favorite part of the dorms. They all had a balcony to over look the campus.

"Ready, Lunch?" She asked while looking down at the carrier. Really, she was the one that might not be ready. But blaming it on the chihuahua was always a good idea to Zoey. That breath she had taken in was finally released as she pushed against the door and let it fall open, all the way till her now wide eyes were able to take in her new home for the next school year. She was greeted by crisp and white decor with spot colors of blue and long hardwood floors. It was beautiful!

"This is amazing!" Her mouth practically hit the floor as she wandered in, feeling like she shouldn't even be in here. It felt like one of those rooms that you weren't allowed to touch anything in. But it wasn't, it was her room! She was only stolen from it's trance when she heard a whine from the carrier and realized that Lunch was still stuck in there. "Oh, sorry, honey. One second." She said before pulling in her suitcase (which barely fit through the door frame ), kicking the door shut, then moving over to her white couch. She unzipped the carrier and Lunch jumped out, going off on his own merry exploration of the room. Zoey suspected she'd have some territory marks to worry about later, but there was no time to concern herself with that now. She still had her own exploring to do!

She began with the first door she could find, which turned out to be the laundry room. Just the fact she had a laundry room impressed her. Last time, she had just thrown a washing and drying machine in her bathroom. Now she had this whole area for washing clothes, towels, toilet paper, all the things that didn't quite match anywhere else. Satisfied with that room, she explored the others. Her bathroom was bigger than last year with a tub and shower right by the windows. She was glad to see how large they were. Definitely big enough for two people.

She left the bathroom and noticed an arch in her wall that led to the kitchen. It was of course much larger and more open than her last kitchen, which was very compact. This one had plenty of counter space and even a little island on the middle. After checking out her kitchen, Zoey noticed that there was only one door left. She knew what it had to be, the bed room. A girl's best friend. She grabbed onto her suitcase's handle and moved towards it, pushing the door open and gasping at what she saw.

Her bedroom was beautiful with that same blue spotted around. There was pretty much a mini living room along with a giant bed. Pass the bed, Zoey noticed two doors that led to her balcony outside. While she wanted to check out the view, she was soon distracted by the vanity center against her wall. Which pulled her towards the door that must of been her closet. She grinned while opening it, then peeked into the room. It was practically a room on it's own with shelves and wardrobes to be filled.

"Looks like you go in here." She giggled while pulling in the suitcase, then dropping it off in the closet. She'd worry about unpacking later. Right now, that balcony was calling to her. As she walked back through her bedroom, she tossed her purse on her bed to relieve her shoulders of all weight. She turned the balcony door's handle and let it open, which welcomed her with a nice breeze from outside. Her smile curved up even more as she stepped outside and her breath was taken away by the wonderful view in front of her. The campus in general was beautiful and green, but she even got a bit of a peek at the rose gardens from this angle.

"St. Rose, you never fail to amaze me." She sighed happily while reaching out to grasp the railing, then looking over at the lively campus. People were doing what she had pretty much been doing about ten minutes ago. Dragging their luggage towards their rooms or catching up with friends. Seeing all this just hit Zoey. She was finally back at St. Rose! Her hands released the railing and she clenched them, a determination in her eyes as her smile turned into a grin.

"All right, it's going to be a good year!"
She said to herself, then marched back into her room, not bothering to close the balcony door. The air would be nice and Lunch would probably appreciate the outside while she was gone. For now, she was grabbing her purse off her bed and heading out of the room. She still had about a hour before classes, that was plenty of time to socialize and either meet up with old friends or introduce herself to new people.

"I'll be back later, Lunch! Be good!"
She called before leaving her door and closing the unlocked door behind her. She then hurried down the halls, planning to leave the dorm building. But she was so excited that she wasn't quite paying attention to where she was going. It wouldn't be a surprise if she ran into something, or someone.

(( yeah, anyone who wants to have Zoey run into them can xD yay for dangerous meetings! ))

indentHe's annoyed, and it's showing--in the way he's tapping his fingers on the arm rest of the car to the way his knee is bouncing up and down like he has Alzheimer's disease--oh, but wait. He has something similar, doesn't he? He places his hand on his knee and stops the jitters, staring at his hand and frowning deeply, like he has something to contemplate. The world, the cosmos, the very reason--oh, but the cab's at the school already, and he wipes that angry, ugly look off his face with a single swipe as he steps out of the cab. It's replaced with that apathetic look--you know, the one that he always wears when he doesn't want people to read his face or see how he feels (which is all the time, so maybe his face is just stuck that way). He tips the cab driver as he grabs his bags; he doesn't have a lot to carry because he's always been a light traveler...that, and he hadn't gone very far away anyway. He didn't have his family to go home to, so he'd just stayed at a friend's house nearby. The summer had been long--longer than he had ever thought it would be or wanted it to be. But that didn't much matter at the moment. He pulls his bag up on his shoulder and begins walking up the stairs.
indentRiffael Havoc's blue eyes searched the school grounds, finding familiar landmarks and people and--well, maybe he wasn't familiar to them, but they sure as hell were familiar to him. He was observant like that, always seeing who was where and what not. His neutral smile plastered itself onto his face as he began walking towards the dormitory building. He hadn't changed dorms, and as such, his feet dragged him up the familiar flight of stairs to the very familiar plain room. Opening the heavy door, Riff cast his eyes about--there wasn't much of a difference, as he had never been one for decorating. It was boring--he knew that. Yes, it was boring, he thought with a smile as he pulled out a frame with familiar faces in it and laid it face down on his bedside table beside the old fashioned alarm clock he had; you know, the kind you have to wind to keep it going. Deciding he shouldn't just linger about on his own in his room, Riffael set his bags down with a sigh. First day of his senior year--god, he was sort of dreading it. But that was beside the point now wasn't it? Pulling his messenger bag over his head, Riff made sure he had his keys before walking out of his dorm and locking it.
indent"I guess it's time to go," he muttered to himself. Walking away from his safe haven, Riff began shuffling his way down the stairs and out into the school.

indentGavin wasn't entirely sure why the hell he was even here. He didn't go here anymore--he graduated the year before. So why was he here? Well, hell if he knew. His brain did a random flashback in some vague attempt to figure out why he was on the campus of St. Rose. It had something to do with his dad volunteering him at the health office...letting out a soft sigh, Gavin knew exactly why his father had made him come to school today. It was, if anything, to keep an eye on him; ever since the boy moved out of his godfather's apartment, Gregory House had been trying to figure out who he was living with now. The young med student nearly bashed his head against a pole; he would much rather be sleeping at the moment or something--night shifts at the hospital were beginning to actually get to him. Yes, he was an insomniac, but the human body could only take so much sleepless-ness; he was beginning to reach his limit. He dropped his head into his hand again as another thought hit him. Not that I'd get any sleep anyway with Zane around. It was true though; he'd gotten home from his night shift the night before and as soon as he crawled into bed--wham! Zane Carlton had smashed into him with a flying tackle. His boyfriend didn't have any work during the summer, other than planning the school year and ordering photocopies of scripts, worksheets, and lounging about the apartment to keep it clean. It wasn't a ton of stuff to do for the older man. Flipping his hair away from his face, Gavin massaged the arm that he'd smacked against the bed post the night before. And he thinks Tim is energetic...
indentThe young med student sighed before flipping open his phone to check his messages. Nothing yet; he hadn't heard from many of his friends since the last day of school. But then again, most of his summer was spent working and taking community college classes (again). After turning down the med school in Oregon to stay in the city, he had to take care of a few more general education requirements to transfer to a university as a junior--which was why he had slaved away most of his summer. It was worth it, in his opinion, as he was now free to take a year off if he needed to or wanted to--on top of that, bragging rights were a good bonus. Of course, he didn't, but he was able to take it easy this semester at least; a bio-chemistry undergraduate degree was a tough thing after all. As such, it wasn't like he had time to actually go out with friends or anything like that. Leaning against the door to the health office, Gavin slid his hands in his pockets, watching people walk on by. I hope Zane remembered to feed Timcampi this morning...

                                            indentTick-tock.
indentBright blue eyes moved from his desk to the clock on the wall--the annoying monster of a clock that ticked loudly in his empty room. There was something silly about him being here--or so he thought at least. He'd spent his entire summer being forced into preparing for this school year, which was taxing, to say the least, as he had patients to attend to (ignore the fact that all of the files said they were deceased--they were still his patients, after--well, that's a lie, he took them on after they had died so he didn't have to do clinical hours) and better things to be doing. He tapped his cane on the desk, watching the flames with a smirk on his lips. Most people here were new kids or kids that he'd seen before...like Timothy Banning of Riffael Havoc, he thought with a smirk on his lips. He was a little disappointed to see that Zoey wasn't on his roster--it meant not quite as much mass destruction on his part, but Tim would have to do as a replacement. But, there were tons of familiar faces among the crowd, after all. Tapping his cane on the desk a few more times, Dr. Gregory House--science teacher and green homeroom teacher--stood and popped the cap off his Vicodin bottle, dumping one of the white pills in his mouth. "Who's on today's list?" he asked--more for himself than for anyone else.
indentHe was a man of few joys in the world, one of which was tormenting students and making them feel like idiots. House began limping out of his classroom to stand in the hallway--students here had a general way of ditching class, which made him sort of smirk; it was a wonder any of them ever graduated, but you know...it happens. He leaned against the wall, watching as student after student scurried past him; he wondered who he'd run into next--or rather, who he'd make regret running into him at all.

                                            ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

indentExcited--well, okay, not obnoxiously so; he didn't feel the same way he did before plays and shows, but hell, he was excited nonetheless. With a bang, the door to Timothy Banning's room flew open, and he was happy to see that they hadn't touched his precious paint splatters in his old dorm (which he had specifically requested when he registered again). His father shuffled in after him, helping him carry bags and luggage. Almost falling through the door, Tim dropped his stuff on the ground and ran around the room, circling it once to be sure he wasn't dreaming. "Good, good!" he said with a nod. Now, for the first order of business--SMACK! Tim smacked the glass door leading out to his balcony, grinning as it left a lovely hand-print. Yes, everything was, indeed, perfect. He turned as his dad coughed a little. "Thanks for flying out here with me, Dad." His feet carried him quickly over to the older man who had accompanied him, picking up a few bags and moving them aside to make a walkway to the door. Fire escape routes first, after all. He grinned at his old man as the stage manager laughed and patted his son's shoulder.
indent"It's no problem, Tim. You gonna be alright?" Tim felt relatively close to his father and his mother--they were a tight knit family, even if chaotic. The young actor nodded, laughing as his dad gave him a hug. "I'm gonna miss you. Call us if you need anything, okay?" Tim nodded and in the next few minutes, his dad was gone; once again--for the third year in a row--Tim was back in St. Rose and on his own again. Which was, in itself, exciting. His summer had been spent working on a play with his dad at the Pantages Theatre out in L.A. He hadn't actually managed to make it into the play, but he spent most of it as a technician instead, working lighting--as such, school was a nice change in scenery. He didn't doubt that he'd grow bored eventually, but for now, it was fun enough.
indentAfter putting away his stuff (meaning he shoved it all into his closet for now), Tim pulled on a jacket and went flying out his door, on the lookout for someone to meet. There were familiar faces here and there--it was the beginning of the school year. Not everyone would be here just yet. The beginning of the school year, to Tim, meant the beginning of drama classes again, which meant the beginning of Mr. Carlton. On the other hand, that also meant the beginning of Gavin House and his father...but, Tim wasn't about to let that get his day down! Running down the stairs, he flew out of the dorm building and into the sunlight of St. Rose. Fresh air hit his face, a welcome sight from the inside of an airplane and a car. He paused here, letting himself soak in the sun. "Alrighty, then," Tim said aloud, pumping his fist. Yes, he was eccentric. But that didn't stop him. Not at all. The Banning boy was soon scouring the familiar campus; he'd been here for two years already, but hey--it was always a start. And speaking of good starts, the cafeteria seemed like an excellent place to start for him! He was hungrier than a monster...which he may very well be when hungry. A food whore. Having decided his destination, Tim began zooming towards the St. Rose cafeteria.
indentHis mission, however, was stopped dead in its tracks--quite literally--when he suddenly ran headlong (or maybe this other person hit him) into someone. It was quite the collision, and it seemed to be his standard way of meeting people. It was how he'd met Rafi, found Zane, met Anya...god, couldn't he go a day without hitting someone? "Ow, ow...oh jeeze, are you alright? I'm sosososo sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going and..." Tim snapped his motormouth trap shut as he stood up, holding his hand out to a young Asian girl. "Sorry about that."

It was a new year. Well, a new school year at least. There are people who see the beginnings of September as the end of things; the end of the summer, the end of a phase of one’s life. While Spencer was usually one of those people who thought that way, this year was different. She gazed out of the car window through the frames of her sunglasses, watching things pass by. Trees, other cars, buildings. When she had been younger, she used to make a game out of this. She would stare out the window and see if she could keep her eyes glued to one spot the entire car ride. Of course, her eyes would always end up straying in order to follow whatever object they had just passed. She remembered this now and smiled.

The summer had flown by, much like everything outside of the car was doing now. It had been great, though. Spencer had spent a lot of her time in Norfolk, her birthplace and the place she considered her real home, with her family. Yuuya had joined them, since it was about time he met her mother and step father and the rest of her family. It had all been surprisingly pleasant, although she’d felt sad that her father would never get to meet him, or anyone else important to her for that matter. After that, she went to Japan and met Yuuya’s family, which was…an interesting experience. Though she did feel slightly uncomfortable in their presence, spending time with her boyfriend more than made up for that. Spencer had also seen Zoey a few times during vacation, but other than that she hadn’t really contacted anyone else. Not even Tyler, although she had thought about him quite a bit. Mostly wondering if he was doing something about his problem or not.

"Hasn’t changed a bit.” Spencer’s eyes darted to her left to peer at her brother in the driver’s seat. She stared at him perplexed for a moment until her eyes traveled back to the window to see the familiar surroundings of St. Rose. Eric was right. The city hadn’t changed at all, save for a few new shops that had opened over the summer she assumed. She smiled lightly as her brother turned and drove down the road leading to the school, a feeling of comfort engulfing her. It was definitely good to be back.

It wasn’t long at all before the school became visible to them. Seeing St. Rose again stirred feelings other than just comfort in her though. Excitement and apprehension were the two most dominant. Excitement because this was her final year of high school and the beginning of all sorts of new experiences for her. Apprehension because after this, she would be on her own, starting a new life. And that honestly scared her to death.

"Hey.” Her brother’s voice once again broke her train of thought and the fair-haired girl turned her head back to him, a questioning look on her face. “We’re here,” Eric answered. Spencer glanced out the windshield, only then realizing that the car had stopped. There were dozens and dozens of students arriving with luggage, hugging old friends, laughing and smiling. “You okay?” She smiled at Eric, genuine. “Yeah. I’m fine. Just distracted.” Eric watched her carefully for a short moment before pulling the keys from the ignition and offering them to his sister.

The girl gripped the cool metal with one hand, the other pushing the car door open. She ran a hand through her short blonde curls, quickly glancing around for anyone she might know. No one. They were probably bringing their stuff in. Maybe they weren’t even here yet. Spencer turned around to look at Eric who was pulling her suitcases out of the back of her car. “Do you need help?” she asked helplessly. He shook his head, of course. He never let her do anything anymore. It was like she was some fragile doll now. “You know, I’m not deathly ill, Eric. I can still do things,” she pointed out, hands on her hips in that defensive stance he knew so well. “I don’t care. You don’t need to be pulling these heavy bags up to your room. Now go to the dorms and make sure everything is as it should be.” He pulled her dorm key out of his pocket, tossing it to her.

Spencer turned on her heel, mumbling some sort of complaint under her breath as she left her brother behind to deal with her belongings by himself. “I was just trying to be nice,” she huffed, arms crossed while she walked. She couldn’t stay mad for long though. The joys of being back here with all of the people she loved around her overpowered her current bitter feelings towards her older brother. I wonder where Zoey is.

Ten smiles and twenty waves later, Spencer had finally reached the familiar dorm building. Her hands pushed open the front doors and instead she was immediately hit with cool air and the comforting scent of…well, she wasn’t quite sure what it was but it smelled like home. The petite girl pushed her sunglasses up on top of her head before heading up the stairs and down the hall to her old room. The room she had lived in more than her own house for the past two years. “Welcome home,” she murmured quietly as she unlocked the door with a smile.

Everything was exactly how she had left it. The pillows on her couches and window seat still perfectly arranged, the wood clean and the rugs straight and un-walked on; all results of her end of year cleaning back in May. She allowed herself to grin widely now as she stepped further into the room, looking at her decorative items and photos dotting the walls and surfaces; the bookcase covering the far wall in the living room. It was amazing how much more comfort this dorm room brought her than the very houses she had grown up in. Spencer wandered into her bedroom, taking in the warm light coming in from the large windows, making the white room look even more pristine. Sighing, she fell back onto her bed and stared at the ceiling for just a few moments.

"I should call Zoey.” Spencer reached for her cell phone which she had dropped on the bed next to her and dialed her best friend’s number, the digits coming easily to her. She pressed the phone to her ear, sitting up and waiting to hear the girl’s voice on the other end of the line, hopefully confirming that she was also already here at the school.

Zoey's lack of attention had gotten her right where she wanted to be, meeting someone new. Well, new to her, at least. But she had never expected to meet someone so closely, nor quite as painfully. 'It'll have to do.' She thought to herself with her butt on the ground after suddenly feeling the impact of someone against her. She couldn't say this was the first time she'd met someone while falling to the ground. Plenty of times it had happened during her 'tackle all new kids' phase last year. Luckily, she wasn't going to start that trend back up for at least another week. She'd be so sore later if she went around tackling all the people she didn't know on a day like today, when they were everywhere. Granted, that didn't mean she wasn't going to tackle. Maybe she'd reverse things today and just tackle everyone she DID know.

Zoey's eyes moved up to see a somewhat familiar boy, but not someone she could say she really knew. Maybe she had caught a few glances of him last year, but the summer erased any traces of a meeting they might of had. He seemed nice though, and very apologetic for the crash. She just laughed and waved her hand in a dismissing way, gesturing that there was no issue. "Don't worry about it! I'm the one that should be saying sorry. I shouldn't go running through halls like that. I'm just a bit... excited." She explained while reaching for his hand, unaware that he had been doing pretty much the exact same thing she had been when the incident occurred.

With his help, she was pulled back to her feet, and she took the first few seconds the pat off any imaginary dust or dirt that might of gotten on her... in the middle of the fresh hallway, mind you. She then looked back to the boy in front of her, knowing she had seen him last year. Most likely just passing by at some point or another. But a new year meant meeting new people, so perhaps she would actually grow a friendship with him this year. Oh, the very thought of all these new bonds excited Zoey so much that she felt she could start running all over again.

"Oh, by the way, I'm Zo-" She was about to go through introduction, till the melody 'Walking on Sunshine' began to chime from her purse. She paused a moment, then let her smile turn into an apologetic one. "Sorry. That's me." She told him with a short nod, then began reaching into her purse, fumbling her hand around in attempts to find her phone in it's great oblivious. She stepped out of the way, so the boy could pass should he want to, then finally pulled out her still screaming phone.

With a click glance, she saw on her ID that the caller was Spencer. Her eyes brightened and a happy smile blessed her face as she quickly flipped her phone open and brought it to her ear. "SPENCE-SPERM! ARE YOU HERE YET?!" She cheered into the receiver, ignoring the fact that Spencer didn't like her little nickname, Spence-Sperm, so much. But Zoey's excitement was just too large to be contained in the simple name 'Spencer' or 'Spence'. Nope, it had to be Spence-Sperm.

If you think that I'm going somewhere,
take my hand I'll lead you there.
Don't want to have to call you up
from a payphone.

Elias looked a little lost, a bag slung over his shoulder, a backpack to hold his sketchpad, just in case. How much dorkier would it be to just carry around a pad of paper? No need for the whole world to know of his little hobby. No. His talent, it was considered that here. It had been quite a journey to get here as the young man had never actually been on a plane before. That was just the beginning of his new experiences!

Just walking through the campus made him feel like he was in the lap of luxury! Especially once he'd gotten to the dorms, his room more like an apartment than any dorm he'd ever heard of! His aunt had sprung for a new design to Elias' dorm which Anza has been too busy/lazy to makeso it really was jut made for him! He couldn't help feel out of place. He was a simple young man, not the offspring of celebrities and such. Your average Joe. But not anymore! Though his clothing was a little shabbier than that of those passing by him.
Elias was attempting to find his way to the cafeteria after finding that airline food was definitely not very edible. And Elias did like to eat! His dark gaze spotted a dark haired man with glasses, rather serious looking. None other than Riffael Havoc, not that Elias new this. He hesitated, quietly approaching said male. The farm boy was actually a little timid but this was something he was going to have to get over if he wanted to survive here!

"Excuse me," He finally spoke, southern accent smothering his words, "I'm new and a little lost, could you send me to the cafeteria?"

Lilly stared out the window, her music blasting in her ears at full volume. The drive from the airport wasn't that far and she was excited to finally be going to the kind of school she'd always wanted to: a hearing school. Yeah she would miss her parents and siblings, who were all the way back in Texas, but it was about time she'd been able to do something that was good for her. Life in a deaf family wasn't easy. Glancing up, she could see the cabbie had started talking to her. Pulling out one of her ear buds she looked at him. "I'm sorry what did you say? I missed it," her subtle southern accent making her cringe mentally. She hated the way her accent sounded so she always tried to hide it, but sometimes it still slipped through. "You said St. Rose Boarding Academy right? Well we're here" he repeated as they pulled into the long driveway that led to the school. She went back to looking out the window, the huge school looming over the small cab. ”Holy crap…..” she muttered to herself. The school was HUGE. Even though she'd seen it before, it still amazed her at how big it was. The cab driver stopped in front of the main office and helped her get her suitcases out of the trunk. She paid him, thanked him for the ride and made her way into the school. Because she’d taken tours here with her parents (usually only being allowed to come as an interpreter) she knew where everything was.

It took forever, but she finally got to the dorm rooms. She stopped outside the door, dropping her suitcases and digging through her little backpack for the key. She didn’t carry a purse because…..well…because she didn’t want to. Purses were for those girls who carried around yapping little dogs, had super model good looks, and went to parties every night with the hottest guys around. Or moms. Moms used purses. But it didn’t really matter. None of those applied to Lilly anyway. After finally finding the key, she unlocked the door and dragged her things inside, using her hip to close the door. A huge smile broke out on her face when she looked around. It was more like an apartment than a dorm room and it was amazing! She left her stuff just inside the door and wandered around. She had a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, even a small living/dining room! Back at home, she’d had to share a bedroom with her two older sisters. Having this much room to herself was a very nice change. She went back to the front door and got her bags, unpacking the few things she’d need for the day and leaving the rest for later. She glanced at her clock, the glowing numbers telling her she still had about an hour until school actually started. Grabbing her backpack and class schedule, she headed out the door, knowing she wouldn’t be back before it was time for class.

Lilly walked through the school, going nowhere in particular. She passed the buildings that held the different classes, still amazed at how big the school was. Passing the health office, she noticed a guy standing by the door, leaning against the wall. His brown hair moved in the light breeze, and the look on his face a thoughtful one. She hadn’t realized that she had stopped moving all together until someone bumped into her from behind. “S-sorry.” she mumbled, slightly embarrassed. Shifting her backpack more comfortably on her back, she moved her hair back behind her ears, the wind blowing it loose again. Turning back to the guy at the wall, she started towards him. Moving her dark brown hair behind her ear, she put her hands into her jeans pockets. “Hey there. I’m Lilly. You go here?”

indentOf course, it wasn't very long before he ran into someone--despite his attempts to stay as hidden as possible, someone had managed to find him. The annoyed look didn't show, however, as the apathetic smile sort of crept its way onto Riff's face. Mysterious, secretive...yes, that was Riffael Havoc for you. This man was new, the young man saw; he had no doubt about it. He spent most of his time people watching, and this person was not one of the people he had ever watched before. Riff's accent-tinted speech slipped from between his thin lips, saying, "Certainly. It's nice to meet you," he said, moving the regular social customs, like "how are you?" out of the way. He wasn't in the best of moods, but that wasn't any of this new comer's business. Shifting his bag on his shoulder, Riff gave the young man an up and down look through his glasses--his accent was southern, but that was as specific as he could figure, and the way he dressed...well, he was sort of like Riff in that sense--no designer styled bag or anything like that. Interesting enough, or so the young writer thought. Riff, who had been wandering, had to cast his blue eyes about to regain his bearings; he'd forgotten where he was for a moment, which seemed to be happening more and more lately.

indent"Where are you from?" Riff asked nonchalantly as he began walking. He expected the young man to follow him, as he seemed to be looking for the cafeteria. It wouldn't be that long of a walk to be honest--in fact, the building was already coming into view. The school was huge, but fortunately, they hadn't been too far from it.

                                            ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

indentWell, yes, he'd been very much in thought, but it wasn't about anything very serious. Gavin hadn't been doing much in the last few minutes, other than stare at his phone and try to remember if Timcampi's bowl was filled that morning or not--because if it wasn't, Zane probably wouldn't remember to feed the poor creature. The cat didn't seem to favor the drama teacher much, mostly because Zane had managed to shock the thing when he was playing his guitar; Timcampi had made the mistake of standing in front of the speaker. Of course, Gavin had managed to calm the cat down, but still--cat's never forget. He was debating sending a text message to his boyfriend (as the man was still at home when Gavin had left) when a voice interrupted his thoughts. Blinking, he looked around to find a girl a little younger than him walking towards him. She was pretty, he thought, and while the very House-like part of him wanted to make a vulgar thought-comment on exactly how pretty she was, his self-censor kicked in just in time for him to push off of the door he was leaning against and say something in response (something that wasn't a very horny-teenage-boy comment. Not that he was horny).

indent"No, not anymore. I graduated last year. I'm just the health aide now," he said gesturing to the health office behind him. "But it's nice to meet you, Lilly. I'm Gavin. Gavin House.." He didn't offer his hand to shake, sadly--while he had his Asperger's under control, he still didn't like being touched or anything. His blue eyes seemed to stare a little bit above her head or to the side of her face--or maybe her nose; anywhere but her eyes. Shoving his hands into his coat pockets, he sort of smiled at her. "So I take it you're new here?" Still no good at socializing--that was to be expected.

                                            ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

indentTim helped the girl to her feet, still apologizing for his hyperactivity and how he was running because--oh, well, she was doing the same thing? He kind of laughed nervously as this girl (Zoey was her name, he vaguely remembered) began introducing herself. He was a little jittery--he wanted to keep moving and the fact was he was starving, but at the same time, he didn't want to pass up the opportunity to make a new friend. Oh, sure, he was friendly, but his weird nature seemed to keep people at bay. "Oh, it's nice to meet you. I'm Tim," he began saying, but alas, their conversation was cut short as music started playing. A phone, it seemed. Zoey smiled at him apologetically as she pulled out her phone--Walking on Sunshine, he recognized, humming along with it to give himself something to do. It made him think of purple clouds and flying blue cows, which, he might add, were in his dream on the airplane trip here. There was something about launching himself out windows and acting like a super-kick-a** something-or-other that was just so appealing. That dream had been a rather pleasant one, despite the fact that his mother thought he was on drugs when he called her and told her about it; it was more interesting than the boring blue skies of Rhode Island. He was, however, pulled from his thoughts when a shriek ripped through them, causing him to leap away from Zoey and her excitement at a "Spence-sperm" on the other line on her cell phone. Deciding that now was a bad time to interrupt (as he didn't want to ruin her enthusiasm), Tim began skipping away.

indentAfter a little ways--when he was far enough that Zoey's shouts become nothing more than a murmur in the distance--Tim's blue eyes fell on the hallway floor as he decided to start playing a little game with himself. It was one most people played as small children and that was--LAVA, of course! But he modified it where he could only step where the lines between the tiles intersected, rather than the tiles themselves. Slightly less interesting, but oh well. Holding his arms out, he began walking on the corners of the ugly tiles on the floor, grinning to himself from ear to ear at his game. Oh, Tim, you're such a freak.
