Akio could hear Lillith crying before she opened the door and instantly had her arms around him. Normally, when she tackled him with hugs like this he'd laugh, bu now wasn't the time. He wrapped his arms gently around his sister. "I know. I wish they didn't have to bring you into this. I don't underdstand why they need to marry off the both of us" he said quietly. He sighed. This would have been a good day to stay asleep. If only the night hadn't ended. "I wish there were a way to stop this. If there were I'd find it and make it so you wouldn't have to leave. But as it is, this has been agreed by all the kingdoms. Meaning I don't think we're the only two being forced into this. I believe there are others" he told her in the same quiet tone. He knew the maid cleaning the room next door was listening.

"But remember Lillith, you have to be strong. I know it's scary having to leave home but you don't want mother and father to worry about you. And you won't be alone. I'll write to you every week. And I'll come visit whenever I can" he promised. He wasn't sure how often he'd be able to go see her, as it seemed he'd soon be preoccupied with his own fiance, but he'd try to escape whenever he could. He didn't care which land she was going to or how far away it was, he refused to let his sister go so easily. She was the only one he cared about.

At that thought, a small shred of guilt knawed at the back of his mind. What about Milly? a voice he didn't recognise asked. Milly? Right, the blonde. What about her? She was his maid, that was that. Why should he particularly care about her? He didn't know. He pushed the thought of the londe out of his mind. He needed to focus on Lillith. Right now, she needed him to be there for her. He'd leave thinking about milly and his impending fiance until later.

Lillith felt her brothers arms wrap around her in a gentle embrace. How could she just up and leave him? It wasn't fair. She nuzzled her face into his shoulders and apologised for the tears. "I wish I could stay. What if the Ice Prince hates me.. what if he's brutal?" Lillith said frantically. She always over thought things, letting the littlest things get her worked up and worried. It was one of her many flaws.

She could hear the maid next door, she was sweeping. Lillith tried pushing it from her head, sometimes her hearing became more sensetive when she didn't want it to. Ignoring the other sounds around her she looked up at her brother, her eyes filling with tears. "I understand this is for peace... but I would have liked notice. I have to leave today, as soon as I pack.... Do mother and father not care enough for a warning?" she questioned, of course she loved her parents, but she hated that they had just sprung this on the today.

Her brothers soothing words of comfort and promising to visit and write to her cleared her mind. "I would love to hear from you..." she began. "Life won't be the same without you Akio...." out of all the people in the kingdom, Akio was the most important to her. He'd been there for her since before she could remember, always there to help her when she needed it. She'd miss him.

Looking up at her brother she tried to smile, though it didn't come out as strong as she hoped. "Just remembered my dear brother. That I will miss you. And I love you."

Making his way through the halls, each second he grew more worried about his little sister being given away to someone where he might not be able to do anything if she needed him.
Coming around the corner toward her room, there she was. Stopping in his tracks, his face wearing a look of relief in finding her, but still with a hint of dread in knowing what was going to happen. As she spoke of having to marry the fire prince she began to sob, Victor opened up his arms as she hugged him, wrapping her up in his grip and resting his head atop hers.
"Don't worry, dear sister..If it were up to me I would go to war with all who threaten our family. But it's not up to me, sadly..And our sacrifice means peace, it will save so many lives", he paused to move one hand up and caress her hair, sighing, "I wish it didn't have to be like this, Miyuki..I'm sorry I can't do anything to stop this, I would do anything just so you could stay home and be safe. But you know how to reach me, if anything happens and you need me or for any other reason you need me I'll rush over fast as I can. Nothing could ever come between you and I.", this kind of display of emotion was something that Victor only let out around Miyuki, most of the time he was cold and stoic.
He held his sister tighter, "I'm so sorry I can't protect you from this Mikuki..".

xxMiyuki listened to his kind words as he held her. She dried her tears and looked up at him. "I'll write to you every day." she whispered to him with a small smile. She buried her face in his chest and closed her eyes. "I don't want to leave you to go to the fire kingdom." she whispered as she trembled in his arms. Alruna, a servant, came around the corner. "Miss Miyuki, The carriage is waiting. Your clothes are packed and ready to go." She said to her as Miyuki nodded softly and clutched onto her older brother for a minute longer. "You're coming to my wedding, and I want you to walk me down the isle." she said to him, leaving no room to object. She kissed his cheek gently and pulled herself off of him before she allowed Alruna to escort her to her carriage. She stepped inside and looked out the window towards her family and her brother. She would miss him the most. She waved good bye to her family, but mainly to her brother. She wished she could stay with him, but this was for the lives of her people. It was her duty to do this.

xxThe long ride out of the Ice Kingdom seemed to last forever. Miyuki kept her eyes on her feet because if she looked up to see her winter wonderland of a home disappearing before he she would tear up and want to go back to stay in her brother's arms. When they finally exited the Ice Kingdom territory, she sighed softly and looked up to see the blue fade into red. She was entering Fire territory. She was afraid. Miyuki pulled out her brother's Ice Sword necklace and held onto it for comfort. It seemed like forever before she finally pulled up to the Fire Kingdom's palace. She stepped out of the carriage and walked up to the massive double doors. Alruna, who had come with her to bring in her belongings and set her up before leaving, knocked on the door and they both waited to be let inside.

Rue composed herself as she looked at her brother Finnian. Out of everyone in her family she was good at hiding her emotions from everyone. Though few people were able to see when she was at her breaking point. Her brother was one of those rare people, though she could trick him most of the time. She smiled at him before remembering that she had snuck out this morning. Her smile dropped at the thought of being scolded after what she had just been told.

"Please don't be mad at me Finnian, I only left to get some of those apples you like so much. And I wanted to to finish my book Father gave me." she said simply as she motioned for her brother to follow her into her room so she could prepare to pack. Once inside she nodded at a couple of maids that were already getting her stuff ready. Rue sighed, wheather out of sorrow or frustraion wasn't clear even to her.

"I'm guessing you found out about our arrange marriges?" she asked as she made her way to her desk to start packing her art supplies and a couple books to keep her busy for two months. After that was done she turned her attention back on her brother. "Who are you to marry? All mother would tell me is that I am to be shipped off to the Dark kingdom like some slave and that you were to wed some Princess." she said sorrowfully with a hint of bitterness. Truth was she was sad she was being sent away, not because she loved staying in the same place all the time. But because of the reason, sure she agreed it was in the best interest of Peace between the Kingdoms.

Though, and she would take this to her grave if she had too, she wanted real love. Something her parents had, or her grandparents had before they passed away. The story her grandmother had told Rue as a child was somethign out of a fairytale. She had been a commoner and her grandfather had fallen in love with her, a mere servant to the castle.

So Rue didn't want to fall for a servant, unless the Good Lord planned it that way. She just wanted real love, you know the type where all your other half says and does is whatever it takes to make you happy because they can't stand to see you hurt or sad. So that was a bit cliched, but really did want someone to just care about her and her needs while she did the same for them.

But considering the position she was in, that was out of the question now. She glanced around the room, now that it looked half packed with whatever her mother had arranged for her to take with her. She was sad to go, and a bit upset. She didn't really want to but felt she had to because it was her duty.

Akio gazed down at his sister with eyes unseen. But he could see her, even if not physically. "The Ice Prince will love you. You're sweet and kind and beautiful. I don't see why he wouldn't like you. And if he's brutal I'll go beat him up. I couldn't allow him to hurt you" he answered, in attempt to calm her frantic mind.

He kissed her forehead gently as he had when they were younger and she had gotten hurt. "They care for you, Lillith. Very much. They love you so much. I believe they merely wanted to tell us the same day, and for that they didn't feel the need for warning. I know they don't care enough for me to want to warn me. But it'll be okay. I promise" he told her. He hated that their parents had so suddenly decided that this was their fate. But he knew he didn't have a right to complain. His parents didn't really like him, so why should they care about how he felt? Right, they didn't.

He smiled slightly, if for nothing more than to try to cheer her up abit. "I can't imagine life without you, my dear Lillith. I will miss you so much. Though, even though we shall be seperated, don't forget that I'll always love you. And be careful in the Ice kidngdom. Stay warm. Getting sick wouldn't be a good thing. And if anything important happens, write me right away. Okay?" he said, despite the attempt to cheer her up there was sadness in his deep tone. Oh how he would miss her.

Colette watched as her tutor left the room. That would likely be the last time she ever saw him. She'd miss him. Only about ten minutes had passed since she initially got the news, but she had already packed. She slammed the dark purple suitcase shut. "Well, guess it's time to go" she said to herself. She wouldn't say goodbye, not even to her brother whom she loved so much. She left her room and went down to the main hall. She set her suitcase by the door.

She had been sitting on the suitcase when she heard a knock on the door. She stood and pulled it open. Could this be her brother's fiance? maybe. She opened the door to full width. "Greetings. Please, come in" she said in a passive tone. What now? She returned to her sitting on her suitcase as she waited for the carriage to arrive. She'd be headed to the Water kingdom soon. Soon, she'd leave behind this wonderful, warm place. She'd miss this place.

Lillith let out a small, audible laugh, and she smiled up at her brother. "You know I don't believe those things." her voice sounded more cheerful, Akio could always make her happier, just with a few simple words. "And I wouldn't put it past you to beat him up." she said with another small laugh as she hugged her brother tighter.

As Akio kissed her forehead Lillith closed her eyes gently, she remembered the first time she had managed to convince her brother to take his blindfold off. It was when she was 10, after she had discovered that she could gaze into anothers soul if she so desired, but she needed to make eye contact. She let out a sigh. "They may not admit it Akio, but they love you too." she told him softly.

She looked up at Akio just as he smiled, she loved his smile for it was something she didn't see often. It always put a smile on her face. "I could never forget that Akio... For now matter how far apart, I'll be with you.. and you with me. In here." she said, putting a hand over her brothers heart, and his over her own as a few more tears ran down her cheeks. "And I'll stay warm if you promise to be at my wedding." she teased, trying to lighten the mood, even if just a little. She could hear the sadden tone to his voice. "Of course I'll write." she promised.

She lifted her hand off his heart and up to his shoulder. "Dear brother... May I see your eyes once more before I go?" no matter how much everyone else hated them, she loved her brothers eyes. And she'd love for them to be one of the last things she saw in her kingdom.

Victor felt so weak and helpless because he couldn't do anything to stop this from happening. No words, violence or otherwise could stop the decision. He couldn't stand the feeling. He was so used to being the protector and the hero, especially for his sister.
He smiled as she spoke of writing everyday, "And I'll meet every letter of yours with a reply".
When Alruna came and interrupted them by informing Miyuki that her carriage awaited, Victor glared at her coldly. He didn't mean to, it wasn't her fault, but he was still angry that she was being taken away.
Miyuki had held onto him a little longer before demanding him at her wedding, which there was no objection from Victor.
"I wouldn't have it any other way, Miyuki. I would be honored", he said in a comforting voice and held her hands as she gave him a kiss on the cheek before walking away.

Making his way to the door, Victor stood with his parents as Miyuki got into the carriage and bid them all farewell. Having never felt sadness this strong, Victor's eyes almost began to tear-up. He had to hold it back and control himself. It felt like his beloved little sister was going away for good, but he reassured himself that he would see her again.
As the carriage rode off, Victor's dad turned to him with a sad look upon his face.
"Son, your bride-to-be, Lillith Grey, the Princess of the Soul Kingdom, should arrive here shortly. Please get ready for her arrival. We're having a special dinner prepared in honor of the union"
"Yes, father", Victor's voice was filled with a cold bite.

Entering back into his home, it already felt empty and lonely without Miyuki around. Victor made his way to his room and began polishing his armor for his future bride's arrival. Most nobles had special attire for formal events, but Victor felt his armor held more honor than any suit.

Akio shook his head. "But those things are true Lill. Don't doubt that you are a wonderful person. Okay?" he told her gently. He wouldn't let her believe he was lying to her. He laughed with her, though only for a brief second.

He doubted what she said about their parents loving him. Their mother hardly ever talked to him, and wasn't frriendly when she did. And their father wouldn't even look at him, nevermind speak to him. So he doubted it, but he wasn't ready to argue with his sister. Not like this.

Akio felt her place his hand over her heart. He could feel the steady pulsing of it. So familiar. He could feel warmth eminating from her. "I promise I'll be there. I wouldn't miss your wedding day" he said, sincerity in his promise even though he knew she was trying to lighten the mood.

He sighed slightly when she asked to see his eyes. But, reluctantly, he moved his hand from her chest to pull out the knot holding the dark red facric over his eyes. The long strip of fabric fell to his shoulders and light was around him again. He gazed at his sister with sadness in his white eyes. It was blurred, but he could still see his sister clearly, even in the blurriness that was usually his world outside of darkness. He brushed back strands of blue hair from her face. "Lillith, be good okay? And if ever you need me, don't hesitate to come back or to write. I'll always be here to help you, even when you're there. Okay?" he said with a light smile. He wished she didn't have to go. Couldn't both their fiancees come here instead? Why did they have to seperate him from his beloved little sister?

Roseanna May Skyler

Turn your face away from the garish light of day,
XxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxTurn your thoughts away from cold unfeeling light,
XxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxAnd listen to the music of the night.

▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀

The dungeons of Dark castle are damp and dreary; you never know what could be lurking in the dark. Most people have enough sense to steer clear of the place, with all its uncharted tunnels, and tick walls. Some of the not so fortunate maids have become lost in the shadows and are left in the empty tunnels, never to be seen again.

Now deep within the darkens someone watches, never having to think of were to walk and what lies ahead, never looking back. Shadows dance on the walls around her, whispering story’s that they have brought from the light of the castle above. She sings to herself, the notes carry though the tunnels in dreary echo’s.

Somewhere lost in the tunnels a scared maid with tears in her eyes, hear the notes and cries out in to the dark “ pr..in..cess?...is..is that you?...please princess the king sent me to fi..find you... I don’t know my way around down here....PRINCESS PLEASE!” The maid’s cries travel though the dungeons to the young girl and anger forums on her face. She breaks into a run and pushes though the wall that lies in front of her and knocks over the figure on the on the other side. A shriek fills the air and the maid falls over on the cold hard floor. “How dare you yell at me as if you hold some unknown power!, And how dare you come down here! Don’t you know your place or do I have to remind you!? ” the young girls scrams fill the air. More tears fill the maids eyes “I’m....I’m sorry princess...th..the king sent me to find you...I’d never come down here if he hadn’t......I promise...” the princess could barely make out with the maid was saying “alright, alright just stop bloody crying” she looked down the tunnel and sighed and started to walk away. She turned around to find the maid still sitting on the floor “well come on then, or would you like to stay down here?”

Back in the light of day the girl walked down hallways full of maids, all glancing up at her as she passed. She reached a door; she could hear laughing coming from the other side like he’s has anything to be happy about she thought. She took a deep breath and opened the door slightly and stuck her head in the doorway. Her father looked up from his desk where he sat talking to his friends “Oh Roseanna there you are, I was starting to think we lost another maid” the room broke into laughter. Rose rolled her eyes and came in to the room and sat on the desk “yes, yes really funny father, but I was told you needed to talk to me” Rose didn’t like waiting but she didn’t like having to spend much time in her father anymore “Oh yes right that, well you see my dear the war needs to stop and we have found a way of doing so” Rose looked at him with a hooked eyebrow “How...”. The king gave her a caring look “well my dear... you are to be married...now before you lose your temper just think how good this will be for your people” he could see the anger forming on her face“MARRIED!” she said jumping of the desk “yes my dear to the prince of Soul” she could tell she was frighting him and she didn’t care, she pushed everything off his decks “I DONT CARE WHO IT IS OR HOW MANY PEOPLE I'M SAVEING, I'M NOT GOING!” she ran as fast as she could out of the room “RUNNING AWAY WILL NOT HELP YOU, I'LL HAVE YOU DRAGGED BACK HERE. YOU’RE GOING AND THAT'S FINEL!” her father yelled from is doorway. She knocked over plants and ripped paintings off the wall as she ran down to the dungeons. She ran as deep into the darkens as she could and let out a loud ear piercing scram of pain.

Occ: I'm sorry if it's confusing, and I'd just like to say the Roseanna is not always going to be in this bad of mood.

Light Prince Finnian

"Let someone else fetch you apples, leaving the castle walls unattended puts you more at risk. My mind would rest easier when you're accompanied by someone capable of protecting you, not that I doubt any skill of yours--marriage? Yes," he replied, his gaze lingering on the leaving maids when he dismissed them with a wave of his hand. Finnian looked back to his sister. "The Princess Athena, I believe she'll be filling your seat." One princess shipped off, another imported.

"Don't think of it so negatively. It will turn out better for you," he suggested. A positive outlook might help her find the pleasantness in such a situation and it wasn't as if she could not return home to visit. The fact of a Light Queen in the darkness would increase traffic between the kingdoms and bring about the option of peaceful solutions to conflicts more readily than before. He would not speak of the prince's warrior status, that might break her further, to know he was one to kill their countrymen with his own hands. It sure unsettled him. "Meet him with kindness, should you find the situation unfavorable. You can change it with patience and faith. Against what is told to the soldiers, everyone has a heart to be moved."

Finnian held out his hand to take hers. From his wrist, he slid the silver chained cross and placed it across her palm, pushing her fingers over to take it. He always carried it with him, holding some significant meaning and potentially a deep emotional attachment though what it was, he hadn't ever shared. "And remember, we will help you. All you need to do is ask," Finnian told her without a reassuring smile, he rarely was able to express let alone fake emotion though in this instance he would have liked to.

Rue rolled her eyes as her brother began scolding her. True she had it coming but still she was 18 and able to handle herself. "Oh I wouldn't be able to find someone brave enough to go to the apple tree near the frontlines of the war...." she had started before cursing under her breath. That was a secret she didn't share with anyone. And she was hoping she hadn't angered her brother to much with the little insight she gave when outide the castke walls.

"Athena is lucky to have you. Just, please try to act a least a bit human around her. Like showing how you can have fun at timees without having something up your arse." Rue said in a teasing tone as she tried to change the subject. Though there was a hint of sadness to it. She was being replaced by her brother's bride to be, just like she was doing to the Princess of the Dark Kingdom and like every poor girl in her position.

She sighed as Finnian said not to look at the situation negatively. Though she was, she knew nothing of her 'groom' except that he was a Prince and future King. Anything other else she would have to find out herself. But at the mention of treating the Prince with patience and faith and gave her brother a pointed look. Unlike him she wasn't that into the faith that seemed to take their kingdom by storm. "Please spare me the whole 'God will be with me' thing brother. If God trurly was then there would be a different tactic to this peace offering between the kingdoms." she said simply with a sad shrug. "Do you know anything about him Fin?" she asked in a whisper as her brother slipped her his cross. She looked at it before handing it back to him.

"I can't accept this Finnian, it's yours and you never part with it." Rue said rushed as she handed back the cross to him. She couldn't imagine taking it with her, it seemed to put everything into perspective for her. Something she couldn't handle at the moment. "Just promise me you'll write and attempt to be at my wedding? I promise I'll behave and not wander off unattended for a year and I'll make it to your wedding if you do." she said with bambi eyes and her sweetest smile and laugh.

xxxxxxxxFuma didn't bother to get ready when his mother sent a maid to inform him that the Princess was going to come and live in their castle. If she was to marry him then would she care about what he looked like and how he dressed? If she did care than that was too bad. If she didn't than that was her loss. He didn't want to get married. He wanted to be single all his life because he knows that one day he will die in the battlefield for his people and the kingdom. This is the dream that he wanted. It's not that he is dying for no reason or with a dumb reason, he just wants people to know that he cares and will take care of the people just as good as his father has when he is gone. But this was all too absurd. The more he thought about ti the more he felt that his head was going to explode right on the spot.

xxxxxxxxHearing a knock at the door, he ignored it and the door creaked open. "What?" he said in a dead tone. He wasn't really in the mood for all this. Like he said to his mother before, this really wasn't the best day to tell him that he was to marry someone. It kind of ruined his great day after he just made the finest plan in the world. "Your sister is leaving soon. I thought you might want to say goodbye. to her." the maid said closing the door and skipping away. Oh... right. He totally forgot that he was not the only one getting married in the family. His sister too was getting sent away. He didn't like that idea one bit. One child should be enough to make a peace treaty. His parents were so greedy. So greedy to the point where they wanted to befriend all the kingdom and send their kids away. So selfish. But if he could not help himself get out of his own marriage, what were the chances that he could help his sister?

xxxxxxxxNot wanting to fell guilty, he stood up from his chair and left his room. He walked through the halls and finally made his way through to the front of the large double doors of the castle. His little sister was there, and so were these two other girl that he did not recognize. He ignored them and walked over to Colette. He placed his hand on top of her hand and gave her a smile. "Lettie... you grow up too fast." he joked as he rubbed her head lightly so that her hair would not be messed up. The last thing he wanted was her looking like a mess when she goes and meet her future husband. "Big bro isn't going to get emotional now. But if he ever do you wrong, I'll be here." he said patting her shoulder as he walked over to the two ladies still standing there. They haven't moved since he made to the front doors. He looked at them and didn't recognize who they were. "Can I help you?" he simply said as he crossed his arms with a questionable look on his face.

Lillith sighed. "Anything for you Akio." she nodded. She knew Akio believed these things about her, but she always found it hard to believe them herself.

As her brother promised to be at her wedding she smiled in thanks, giving her brother a hug. "So then we'll see each other soon, it won't be too long, I'll make sure I come to yours too." she nodded. Just knowing her Akio would be at her wedding made the whole situation seem a little better.

As Akio took his blindfold off and Lillith felt the cloth rest on her hand that was on his shoulder she smiled up at him. "Thank you." she said softly as she raised her hand to rest on his cheek, stroking just underneath his eye with her thumb. As he pushed back the strands of her hair she smiled some more. "When am I not good?" she questioned with a smile. "We'll keep in touch. I'll write all the time, and if I get into trouble you'll be the first to know." she nodded.

Then the maid next door whispered, loud enough for Lillith to hear if she focussed. "Time to pack now dear Princess." and with that, the blue haired princess sighed and turned back to her now empty suitcase. "Brother, I must pack, my carriage will be here shortly."

Once she was packed and ready to go, she found herself standing next to the carriage, she was travelling alone to the Ice Kingdom. She looked up at her parents and her brother, trying to fight back tears, but she couldn't. As her tears spilt over she rushed over to hug her brother again. She found comfort in his arms, always had.

Saying her final goodbyes, she decided to sleep on the way to meet her husband to be.
When they arrived at the Ice Kingdom, there was no one outside ready to greet her, nervously, Lillith walked up to the door, carrying her luggage, as she wouldn't bring a maid to do it for her, and carefully, knocked on the door.

Go on and try and tear me down, I will be rising from the ground like a skyscraper
