PLOT



What later became known as the “War of the Mockingjay” started it all- the Hunger Games stopped entirely, the districts were rebuilt, and people went on with their lives. Life didn’t just go back to normal, however, life got better. Panem became The United Districts of Panem, and the Capitol became a place of democracy and free will. As time went on, memories faded into nothing. The generations passed on, taking everything that was The Hunger Games with them. Katniss Everdeen became a fairytale that parents told their children about in bedtime stories. Time passed, and people felt safe. But “safe” was only a temporary illusion and those who forget history are often doomed to repeat it.




By the time the old Capitol supporters, who called themselves the Loyalists, resurfaced… it was too late. The capture of the Capitol and the assassination of the elected president were led by the new President Darrow and his many followers from all twelve districts. The people of the United Districts of Panem weren't prepared to defend the country against the Loyalists because no one believed such a group existed anymore. There was no fighting back because the only district that could have faught had formed a strong alliance with the Capitol and President. Free will no longer existed. Under the new direction of President Darrow and the Loyalists, things quickly reverted back to the old ways of Panem.


Not only had The Hunger Games been reinstated but the rules had changed. People were afraid for their lives, both in and outside of the arena. The world seemed to be crumbling to pieces as the new Capitol thrived on the destruction and chaos, and there was not enough manpower to stop it. All the people could do was watch.


Twenty-five years have passed since the Dark Days, but the citizens of Panem still live in dark times. There are murmurs of rebellion among the Districts and the fast approaching Quarter Quell has captured the attention of the people. For the first time, the tributes will be elected and not just picked from a large bowl full of names. It is clear that no one is safe and the people you grew up with have your life in their hands. For the citizens of Panem, one question lingers heavy in the air — who will you vote for?

REGISTERING

Firstly please send all reserves to me. They should be titled with what district you'd like to be in. Now there will be one tribute for each district that is playable. The other twelve tributes will be npcs just to preserve game play capability of killing off characters. There are two slots open for each district though so one is a tribute and the other is a regular player.

For tributes it is first come first serve. It will be tied in that each person was the one chosen. There are male and female tributes, for each alternating district the sex on the available tribute will change.

Lastly include samples with your reserve. I am very picky about samples.

CHARACTERS

Your character’s face claim must make sense, face claims should be within five years age difference of the character. Please no face claims under the age of 13.

Your character must be unique and well thought out, and no one likes Mary-Sues. Your character should have some flaws, but not too many, and your character’s history should not be filled with drama and death. I allow up to two characters per player, simply because I want to make sure that you’re keeping all of your characters active.


RATING

This should be only rated pg-13. However I will let it slide to pg-16. A few swears here and there and some violence is all that I will let by. No over the top romantic stuff, please.


POSTING

I ask that you post at least once a week. My work schedule is hectic, so I know how that goes. But please stay active. if you do not post for two weeks your character will automatically be deleted unless you contact me and let me know why you cannot post.


GRAPHICS

Please make your posts look decent. All I ask is for a simple graphic (if you cannot do anything fancy) and your character name, district, and status.


ACTIVITY CHECKS

As stated in the posting section. I will check every two weeks to see if anyone hasn't posted. Please contact me if you are unable to post for a long period of time. We can figure something out for you.

RESPECT

This is a big thing. Repsect the others, do not just go off and kill them without even talking about it. It is not polite, nor is it even legal in this roleplay. Yes there will be character deaths. The first six will all be npcs, and they will not be right away. If you are wanting to kill someone or form alliances please contact me with all the information and plotting you've done.

this is a lit - adv lit roleplay. I will not tolerate anything under four paragraphs long. I do understand having writers block so I will be lenient. But please try to give everyone around you something to work with.

The Cornucopia is a giant, golden horn shaped like a cone with a curved tail. In each year's Hunger Games, the tributes enter the arena in a circle formation around the Cornucopia. Its mouth is at least 20 feet high, and is filled with items that could help the tributes survive in the Games, such as weapons, clothing, fire starters, water, food, and medicine. - hunger games wiki


Now that we have that out of the way. Let's get on to how the cornucopia will be handled in this roleplay.

For starters anyone who wants to be a career tribute needs to contact me. There will be six including our NPC characters so three playable spots are open.

On to more important things.

Now in the ooc all tributes will roll two, six-sided die. You want to be able to have the totals between 2-12. The totals will be important later on.




Now once you have rolled your dice you will look at all the numbers individually. For now we will talk about the first number.



The first number will determine what your character does. Even numbers will be fleeing numbers. This means that your character does not stay and fight. It is in their strategy to get as far from the bloodbath as possible. This does not mean that they do not get anything. Odd numbers are going to be stay and fight numbers. Again this does not guarantee that you receive anything. ( note my example is a three. That's an odd number so my character would stay and fight for a while.)

The second number will determine what your character gets.



This number decides if you get something, nothing, or part of everything. It is already decided that the npc careers will take part in owning everything. There will be three others who are allowed to join them. Thus making it a total of six who control the cornucopia.

Now if you roll a 1 then your character gets nothing at all. They simply fled into the woods with no means of survival or your character fought and fought but in the end gained nothing. If you roll a 2 or 3 then your character grabs a few things on their way into the woods if they flee, if they stay then they get a few items and then make their own way. Items will be limited to a knapsack, a weapon, and some form of food. you may choose to take all three or simply 1. For those who roll a 4, 5, or 6 congrats. This means you did one of two things. You were fast enough to grab something good on your way into the woods or you stayed, fought and gained control with the careers. The three playable members who may take control will be decided by both the first and second number. Your first number must be a staying number in order to gain control of the cornucopia. (For example my first number was a 3 which meant I stayed, my second number was a 4 which meant I gained control. If my first number was a two then I would only be able to grab as many items as I could before running away.)

Now the third number.



This is your training score. Numbers of course mean nothing in the games though. You could simply be hiding what your true potential is.

Gifts will be received every weekday. Depending on What random number you recieve will depend on when or if you get a gift. numbers 1-5 represent weekdays. You will choose a random number for numbers 1-7. If your number is 6 or 7 you do not get a gift that week. Numbers 1-5 are as follows.

You have a choice as to whether or not you want to get a gift that week. If you skip your gift one week you can choose to get one the following week. Gifts are limited in the beginning to only food, water, or medicines. After all of the npcs are dead then we get into heftier gifts.



NPC deaths.

Each person is allowed to kill. That's what the hunger games are for after all. Npcs will die every two weeks. The bloodbath will take 2 npcs. I will do a random number between 4-12 to decide which two die on the first day. Numbers 1-3 are safe for the time being since they are by default careers. If you wish to kill an npc please get with me. Tell me how you want to do it and I will do the random number deciding what district and who it is. Once you have killed an npc you cannot kill another.
