"Hey, over here! Tyler!!!" A young brunette sprinted down her backyard waving her arms around like crazy. Tyler was her little brother, a fourteen year old, and they were running down her yard why? Well because they were playing football, of course. Her dad and older brother Kevin, who was nineteen, were on the other team. Yes, she was the only girl playing. That probably seemed seriously unfair to some people, when really it was totally fair. She was the fastest runner in the town and could play sports better than any of the boys in town. They were all total wimps! Tyler threw the ball just before he got tackled to the ground by Kevin. The ball was caught perfectly in Rachel Williams' hands and she kept up her sprint as she neared the fake line her father had painted when she was about nine years old. Her dad was chasing after her, but of course not as fast. The girl skidded to a stop and threw the football to the ground, jumping up and down in victory yelling 'we win, you lose, we win, you lose' over and over again. Both her father and her brother rolled their eyes and said something about her being too much of a 'sore winner'. Psh, like she actually cared? Uh, no. They were just sore losers in her opinion, so they needed to suck it up and deal with her winning all the time.

Tyler came running over high-fiving his sister and picking up the football into his arms, and looked at Rachel slyly, "Race ya back to the house!" He said smirking and glancing to his sister then quickly taking off towards the house. Okay, sure he got a headstart, but that didn't mean he was actually going to win. Ray smiled and was already in front of her mother stepped out from the backdoor, cupping her hands around the mouth and calling out to them, "Rachel, you're going to be late if you don't stop messing around and get dressed, same with you Tyler!" Looking over her shoulder to her brother, the brunette sighed, slowing down only a little so she could run alongside her brother. They were through the backdoor and in the house in a matter of minutes. Their house was large, bigger then most houses in South Carolina, but that was all thanks to her father's old singing career, and it was always clean, no matter how many times Ruby, their dog, dragged in mud, it was always clean. They didn't even have a damn maid, it was nuts. Luckily, Rachel was usually really busy so she 'sadly' missed cleaning day which most of her siblings were forced to do without a choice or say in it. It was a little smart that they didn't have a choice since all of them would choose against it.

As she walked through the long hall that trailed towards the stair's she heard hustling feet and clothes being flapped around like crazy. That could only mean one thing. Vanessa had decided to arrive. Oh no, it's time to tune in the shark-themed music and for this whole charade to end into a complete tragedy. Vanessa is the weekend witch from the, well, west...yeah, that would fit since this is based in South Carolina. Anyway, Vanessa is Rachel's older sister, and also the biggest pain in her a**. The girl was all about fashion and always was a stuck-up snob, no matter what. She even acted like a total snitch around her boyfriend's; she just used them. Yet all of them decided to ignore my warnings, guess they feel sorry for that. Shaking her head, the sixteen year old turned the corner, not bothering to hunt for the devil herself, and climbed the long stair's, taking two at a time. No way was she going to be dressing fancy for this little meeting with those new york kids. Hell no! She was going to be dressing the way she wanted because that's how she rolled. Releasing a soft sigh, she went to her room and locked the door behind her. Since she had already taken a shower, she looked down to the jersey she was wearing and the basketball shorts she hadn't changed out of and fell asleep with them on. Anna walked over to her closet and threw the doors open so she could look through all of the clothes.

When she went through puberty she had gotten more girly, but that didn't mean that when she was hanging around her house she was going to wear dresses and be a total stylish-dork. That just wasn't how she did things. Rachel yanked out an outfit and quickly pulled it on. She looked at herself in the mirror and groaned, she was about to turn back towards her closet and switch into an outfit more comfortable until she remembered that her parents were going to kill her if she was up there for even one more minute. She rolled her eyes at the thought of her parents ranting about how slow she was and how they were going to be late if she didn't get her butt downstair's which made her unlock her door and go back downstair's in the direction of the huge livingroom. As she stepped through the door she heard all of the room sigh in relief. Her eyes instantly narrowed and she walked her happy little tooshie to the mini fridge in the corner of the room, popping it open and pulling out a gatorade. "Well, don't you just look adorable!" Her mother exclaimed, smiling cheerfully as Rachel turned around towards her family as they stared back at her. Wow, she felt seriously exposed at the moment. She fidgeted uncomfortabley and looked down at her outfit with her nose scrunched up, "You think it's 'adorable'?" She asked and shook her head, "That's like an insult, I'm going to go change," When she turned towards the staircase, her mother snatched at her wrist, yanking her back.

For a small women, she was awefully strong. Stumbling back, but keeping herself stood up, Anna pulled back her hair with the rubberband on her wrist and placed her hands on her hips. She stomped her foot childishly and looked around the room at her siblings, her eyes slowly placing on her beautiful and oh-so-adoring sister, Vanessa. Ha! Wonderful description, she smiled fakily at her sister and wiggled her fingers at her in a typical femine wave, but her sister didn't bother to ecknowledge her presence and turned away from her as if they weren't even sisters, let alone related. Good, I kinda like it that way, she thought happily to herself and watched as her mom began walking to the frontdoor. Everyone else got up and began towards her, oh great, they were leaving now. Maybe showing up late wouldn't be too bad, right? They were just new york kids, they probably were being forced to go as well. Rachel pushed her bangs out of her eyes and stomped her way out of the door towards the large car. It really surprised some people how such a big family could fit into one car, but they sure as hell fit. Though it did get stuffy sometimes, but no way was she going to begin whining about that, her mother was already going nuts and complaining wasn't going to make her mood change. She pulled out her phone as she walked behind everyone and quickly began texting two of her bestest friend's in the old world.

Finishing up with her wonderful text messages, Rachel looked up after she stuffed her cell into her short pockets and noticed Tyler was frantically waving at her to get into the car. Ray raced to the car and slid into the seat next to her grandmother who was already falling asleep. Damn, old people could really sleep for days, couldn't they? The sixteen year old, rested her head against the window beside her and rested her gatorade in the cup holder beside her arm. Suddenly music began to blast through the speakers which made her groan. Great, oldies. Wasn't she just greatful that her parents were freaking old! Anna glanced to Vanessa was adjusteding her makeup for what seemed to be the tenth time since she had been in the house. Wow, she's really getting on my nerves! She pulled her eyes off of her sister and back to her silent phone. What a pain it was to be waiting for people, now she knew how her parents felt when they had to wait for her lazy butt. She smirked and then after a few minutes the car came to an abrupt stop. Her family all began scrambling out of the car and Rachel stayed until all fo them were out until she followed after them. Ray looked around for her friend's and was disappointed to see that no one had arrived...yet. Okay, atleast they would be showing up semi-soon. The brunette girl was snapped out of her loads of random thoughts by Tyler, "Hey, Ray, come on!" He said as he grabbed Anna's wrist, towing her across the grass. Of course, he wanted to race, but did she care? No, not really. Rachel, along with Tyler and Kevin, ran across the grass, of course Ray in the lead. Nothing really changed, not even when she was indeed supposed to be meeting some stupid kids.

Three days. That was all it had been. Three days. Or at least that was what Scarlett could remember. In all honesty, she wasn’t really counting how many days she had been in South Carolina because she was not enjoying a second of it. No cell phone service, no laptop and they had absolutely no Malls or Starbucks close enough for her to survive. To be honest, this was Hell, and Hell was smelling a lot like denture cream and Whiskey. Not to mention, the entire house she was staying in had been made out of logs and there were Deer in the backyard constantly and she was waking up with the sound of loons and roosters doing their thing. She was waking up at 6:00 AM due the “The View” playing obscenely loud on her Grandmother’s lame three channel television, and she was eating Venison, Sauer Kraut and Broccoli Salad. This was definitely not New York. Looking out the window, Scarlett sighed a little, wondering what would have been happening if she was in New York right now. She figured she would probably be out with her friends, partying and getting drunk, only to wake up to a massive hangover the next morning. To be honest, right now Scarlett would have preferred a hangover then to stay at this God Forsaken place her parents thought would be “best for her”. The funny thing was, it wasn’t just Scarlett who was here. It was also her other five best friends. It made her feel a little bit better, but she was starting to get sick of the “Home Sweet Home” knitted sign on their front door. No way in hell was this Home Sweet Home.

Scarlett headed over towards the door in her red Manolo pumps and tried to avoid getting them scuffed. She could have sworn the hardwood floor out here was like..100 years old and she wasn’t buying it at all. In no way was this fair. Her nineteen year old sister Hannah never had to go through this. But then again, Hannah had never been caught partying. Scarlett knew her parents paid extra attention to her because she was the baby. The youngest. Of course, she only got the attention she didn’t want. Sighing and biting her lip, Scarlett headed towards the front door. Maybe if she took a walk out to Hicksville Park she would find one of her friends sitting on a swing. Seriously, there was nothing better to do. Scarlett was glad she had brought her pack of smokes with her. In all honesty, she didn’t smoke much, but she knew she would probably be doing it a lot here. It was boring, and there was nothing to do but sit inside with her Grandmother, who barely even knew her name, and watch Soaps all day while her Grandmother spoon fed her Grandfather creamed peas.

Making a face, Scarlett quickly headed out the door, breathing in the fresh air deeply. Mmm, she loved the smell of the fresh air, and honestly, when the girl was outside, it smelled like Pine Trees. In New York it smelled like French fries, pollution, Popcorn and Cherry Blossoms. Or at least in her opinion. New York was insanely over populated and had a high smog rating, but that was what Scarlett loved about it. Busy, she loved. Dead? She didn’t love.

Making her way down the path leading from her Grandmother’s house to the Park, Scarlett was suddenly glad she was able to go out for fresh air. She vaguely remembered her Grandmother mentioning something about a BBQ or something, and she’d rolled her eyes. Her Grandmother yelled at her for being a Spoiled Princess and practically forced her to go. “Besides” she’d said, a gleam in her eye. “All them spoiled New York friends of yours are going”. Sighing, Scarlett bit her lip. How on Earth could her Father have lived in a place like this his whole life? She’d never quite understood. But before she could think about it, Scarlett quickly found herself at the Park. Spotting a bunch of young children playing on the swings, she scowled. Scarlett wanted a swing, and she was going to get one. Walking over to a seven year old girl with blonde pigtails, she smirked, ever so slightly. “Honey? You’re overalls have Ice Cream all over them” she said, in a sickeningly sweet voice. The girl just sat there, fazed by it all. Scarlett watched, shocked that the girl hadn’t even bothered to check, and placed her hands on her hips. In a low voice, she quickly hissed “get off my swing you little twerp!” The girl got off, with wide eyes and tears brimming and ran over to her Mother whining. Scarlett smirked, watching the Mother wave her off and tell her to go play somewhere else. With a little bit of a chuckle, Scarlett sat down on the swing next to a boy of about twelve. “You’re mean” he said, in the hick accent they’d all seemed to have over here. “Oh boo hoo, get over it” Scarlett said, continuing to swing as the boy got off, a little thrown off that an older teenager was saying this stuff.

Scarlett chuckled and started swinging to herself, not a care in the world. She noticed parents looking at her evilly, but she didn’t care. She hated it here, and besides, this town did need a little bit of Scarlett. It was much to nice, frilly and pretty for her liking. Smirking, she took out her phone, looking down to see if she’d had any texts. Pretending to send one to somebody, Scarlett laughed like a snob and continued to swing. As long as she was here in Folly Fields, South Carolina would never be the same again.

Jessica McGuire was in her room reading. As always. She was never seen without a book. Jess, as she preferred to be called, was a shy, sweet girl. Her friends sometimes teased her about being a pushover, but Jess knew they were joking. And sometimes, when it came down to it, she could be harsh, but those times were few and far between, and really, the only people who had ever seen it were her parents, her brothers, Ray once and Andrew. But at the moment, she was call, and serene, and nothing could spoil it - besides going tto a cookout to meet-and-greet a whole bunch of spoiled, rich kids from the Big Apple; you got it, New York City. Her parents had made it very clear that she didn't have to socialize with any of the new york kids if she didn't want to. And, at the moment, she didn't, so it looked like she would be hanging with Louis, Ray and Andrew all night. She and Alexandria weren't on the best of terms as of recent. And Andrew and Ray wouldn't be on the best terms either, so she'd probably be going back and forth a lot.

Suddenly, her butt rang, singing Happy Ending - Avril Lavigne. She loved Lavigne and Swift. They were her blonde haired, blue eyed role modles. Two completely different types of music, two completely different personalties, two very successful girls. But Happy Ending was the tone that went off when Ray was texting her, so quickly, she dug her phone out of her pocket, and read the text. She smiled, and punched something back before getting up to get dressed for their little down-home cookout. She was originally from Tennesee, but was, like, three, when she moved here, so she'd known all her friends forever, but still had more of a Tennesee twang than a South Carolina one, just because that was how her parents and brothers spoke.

Alright sweets,
See you in a minute.
Just don't go home with them.
Don't wanna end up like Sandy wink
I luv you 2 biggrin

She grabbed her outfit from the closet, and put it on, getting ready for her night out on the... town, oddly enough. She looked at her reflection, and smiled, twisting her hair up into a loose twist, and going downstairs for her family to see And then she was off to the party book in hand.

"So you'd better watch your back."

Outfit of the Day

User Image

The day seemed to be dragging on and on and on for Demetri. Staying with his grandmother was probably the most boring thing he had ever done. Sure, he loved his grandmother and wouldn't do anything to hurt her, but he seriously hated it in South Carolina. It was way too hot there. The humidity was absolutely ridiculous. Sure, some of it was pretty, but where they were in South Carolina, it was miles away from Myrtle Beach where all the fun was. Plus it was all very out doorsy. Demetri was definitely not an outdoorsy guy. He was more for the clubs, the parties, drinking and girls. That was his cup of tea. As he had heard his grandmother say once. He wouldn't have come up with such an odd saying on his own. Demetri's grandmothers house was very old and very redneck like. It had two stories, thank goodness! But the house made off noises at night and his grandmother was two doors down and he could still hear her snoring. The walls were what people around there called "paper thin walls of silence." Silence...right. There was always a tv on in the house somewhere. Though Demetri was surprised that his grandmother had so many tv's, or really a tv, anyways. Plus, she was always washing clothes and stuff and her washer and dryer were really loud. In the few days he had been there, Demetri had gotten a total of five hours of sleep. It was hard to get some shut eye when it was flaming hot in your room and there were people in the bedrooms next to you snoring like chainsaw. It was all just utterly ridiculous. Demetri just knew that his Summer was going to be pure hell.

The first indication that the Summer would be pure hell, was when he had gotten out of the car and stood staring at his grandmother house, he immediately started sweating. Demetri was used to sweating since he ran track and played baseball, but never had he sweated just standing in one spot. How could one place be so freaking hot? The second indication that it was going to be pure hell, was when he had asked his grandmother where the mall was and she told him, "Mall? There is no mall around here. The nearest one is about fifty or so miles from here." Demetri had wanted to go throw himself off a cliff somewhere when she had told him that. No mall meant no idly walking around some place where he could buy thing. It also meant there were no Starbucks, no clubs, American Eagles or Abercrombie and Fitch's. How would Demetri ever stand staying there all Summer? The only thing that helped out just a little bit, was that all his friends were there. That comforted him a tiny bit. Demetri really didn't understand why their parents had sent them all to South Carolina. He didn't see anything wrong with the way he, or any of his friends, were acting. There were typical New Yorkers. What else could be expected from them besides partying, sex, drugs, drinking and clubs? That was what they were all about. That was the life Demetri loved and he wasn't getting any of that here.

Demetri laid on the squeaky bed, in the bedroom his grandmother had told him would be his for the Summer. The room Demetri was staying in was terribly boring. There was no tv, no playstation to play anything on, no stereo to listen to music, no mini fridge, no nothing. All there was, was a single sized bed, a dresser to put his clothes in and a little night stand with a small lamp. The walls were a boring white color and the floors were wooden. It was the image of old timey living. It was very tortuous to Demetri. He hated it. He hated the town, he hated the heat, he hated the house. All of it was absolute hell. There was no other way to explain it. Demetri missed home really bad. In his really nice home in New York, his bedroom was the biggest and the best. He had tons of things in there to keep himself occupied. It wasn't just a bedroom either. It was a bedroom with a lounge added onto it. The lounge had marble floors with black rugs covering some of it in front of the black leather couches placed in the room. In front of the couches was a flat screen tv mounted on the wall with three speakers surrounding it. There were a few shelves right under that that held his playstation 3, Xbox 360, blue ray dvd player, his games, and his movies. Demetri had all sorts of games that his friends could play. He had been working on getting the Wii. He would have gotten it this summer too if his parents hadn't sent him off to this godforsaken place. But that wasn't all that was in the lounge. In the corner there was an expensive drum set and two guitars. Demetri had learned how to play the drums a long time ago and was just now learning how to play the guitars. His friends seemed to love to mess with those when they were over. But that was just the lounge. His bedroom was mighty big too. That had a couple mini fridges in it, with a king sized bed and another tv that was mounted on the ceiling. There was a mirror right below the tv. Take a guess what that was for?

A sigh escaped from Demetri's lips. He missed his home. He missed the towns of Mew York and all the fun it had packed into it. It depressed him to think that he wouldn't get to see or do any of that while he was here in South Carolina. There was something bothering him today though. There was some stupid barbecue going on that evening and Demetri had to go. Key word, had. All the New York kids were being made to go to the stupid get-together. He knew it was going to be so boring and plus it was probably going to be hot too. But who knows, it was close to sun down so maybe it wouldn't be quite as hot as during the day. He heard his grandmother yelling at him from the other room. "Demetri! You better get yourself dressed up for today. You need to get going real soon." Demetri rolled his eyes and then rolled himself off the bed. "Okay grandma!"[/color He yelled back. Demetri started mumbling to himself, a few dirty words slipping now and then. He made his way over to the tiny dresser that barely held all his clothes. His parents had bought him some clothes specifically for being in South Carolina. They knew what he would need. The lucky thing was that his parents knew what he loved to wear, so they had bought him some pretty cool clothes. Demetri sighed and opened the dresser, thumbing through the clothes. He finally found what he wanted to wear. Something that would help him not sweat as much. He slipped out of his lounge clothes and then slipped his Summer clothes on. Demetri slipped his flip flops on and then made his way downstairs. Demetri didn't usually wear flip flops. He didn't really like them, but they were cooler than converse or sneakers. When Demetri reached the front door, he stopped. He wasn't ready to go outside just yet. He patted his pockets and realized he had forgotten his wallet and his cell phone. Demetri turned on his heels and raced back up the stairs and to the bedroom. When he opened the door to the room, he saw his cell phone laying on the dresser. Demetri grabbed it and turned it on. He hadn't turned it on yet, even though it was already almost evening.

Demetri then looked at his phone as it turned on, hoping he would have some texts. But he didn't. Not one text from anybody. He frowned. He wondered what all his friends were doing. Demetri noticed that he only had about two bars. Of course. Out here in the boondocks. Naturally he wouldn't really get much service. Demetri brought up a new message and typed in Scarlett's number. He typed her something and then tried to send it. Immediately it told him sending failed. Demetri's eyebrows came together and he frowned even more. He shoved his phone back into his pocket. Demetri grabbed the knob of the door and shoved the door open. The house was so old that you had to push on it to open it. It was really hard trying to get it to open from the outside. As soon as Demetri had the door open, the heat wooshed into his face, making it a little hard to breath for a moment. He stepped outside, beads of sweat already popping up all over his head, arms and legs. "This is ridiculous." He said to himself as he closed the door and then made his way down the steps. For a moment Demetri wondered where Scarlett was. His grandmothers house wasn't very far from Scarlett's grandmothers house, so Demetri took a left turn and started walking down the road. It didn't take him long to get to Scarlett's grandmothers house. The first person Demetri saw was Scarlett's grandma. Demetri smiled, putting on his best behavior for the old lady. "Good evening. Would you happen to know where Scarlett is?" He asked politely, giving his most sincere and most beautiful grin. Her grandmother told him she was at some park. Demetri nodded and thanked her as he turned to make his way towards the park. He went down the path and down to the park, smiling when he saw Scarlett on the swings. Demetri laughed and walked over to her, a crooked grin on his face. "Having fun?" He asked as he took the swing next to Scarlett. Demetri waited for her to stop swinging to say anything else.

After changing back into her pajamas, Carmen collapsed on her bed. Mamaw had gotten her up at five in the morning to do chores. Apparently she didn't realize A - In New York 5 in the morning was the a** crack of dawn and B - Carmen had never done a chore in her life. So there she was at the sink, at 5 in the morning, doing dishes. Her! Doing dishes! No one would believe it. Mamaw, had finally released her to rest a bit, apparently after about 15 hours of cooking, cleaning, sewing, and gardening she'd earned a five minute break. If she thinks I'm doing another damn chore ever in my life, then she's out of her freaking mind and in for a big surprise. Carmen mused sarcastically. She was curious though, how did Mamaw have it in her to do all these chores as a daily routine? She was positive that she'd sooner kill herself before she did all these chores everyday for thirty years. That's how long Mamaw had been doing all these chores. Ever since she got married at age 20 to Gramps . . . Carmen reached over and grabbed her diary off her nightstand along with her pen. She always wrote in her diary, since she was 5. It was her cheapest yet most prized possession. Within it were pages and pages on secrets, lies, friends, crushes, boyfriends, school, family, and just about everything in her life. Carmen had absolutely no idea what she'd do without it. Flipping it open, she leafed through the pages until she landed on the first blank page. She didn't have to think about what she'd write because the minute that pen hit the paper, the words just started flowing. Seeing as writing was a form of art, Carmen was a natural at it.

                        Dear Diary,
Sorry I haven't written since last week, you wouldn't believe what's happened. You know that saying 'You can take the girl out of the city but you can't take the city out of the girl'? Well apparently, my parents are trying to change that saying. They did in fact take me out of the city - they dropped me in Folly Fields, South Carolina - and the reason for this is so they can take the city out of me. They want me to 'change my life style' as my father put it. Apparently, they don't like me partying hard and getting wasted. So anyway, I'm in South Carolina with the group: Vanessa, Anthony, Scarlett, Demetri(The A**hole), and The Womanizer (A.K.A my bed buddy . . . No one knows about that one so yeah . . .) So, um, yeah, I'm staying with my grandparents. My parents, parents. But instead of grandma and grandpa they insist I call them Mamaw and Gramps. Ugh. Can I just say, I hate this hell hole. Today, I had to do chores around the house. With no music allowed. So I thought the whole time. And all I could think about was how wrong I felt about the whole thing between me and The Womanizer is, and how much I hate Scarlett for obviously trying to get Tony. Then I got to thinking 'why do I hate her for that? It's not like me and Tony are dating?' But I didn't answer that question. I mean, it's probably nothing, he's--he's like my brother, I'm probably just worried about seeing him hurt. Plus, I hate Scarlett because of what happened that night in the closest with my ex . . . Wow, sorry, this was a lot of babble. I know it's kinda confusing but I needed to get everything out. I'll write again later tonight, maybe tomorrow . . .

Carmen put her black ink pen down on the nightstand beside her bed. Her eyes scanned the freshly inked page in her black leather bound diary. Yes, keeping diaries was kind of old fashion, but it was a good way to vent. There were just somethings she couldn't tell her friends but that she could write in her diary."Carmen! A handsome young man is here for you!"Her Mamaw called from downstairs in hr southern accent, that Carmen found slightly annoying. Not that she didn't love her grandparents, but honestly she was so use to New York an normal voices that anything else was annoying. But she always found t funny when the family went on vacation somewhere people had accents, the funny part would be that they would say she had an accent."What? Who? Never mind I'm coming!" With a sigh, she stood from the bed and walked downstairs. She padded her way over to the open front door and saw Tony. Her eyes quickly jumped to her own body has she looked down. She was still in her pajamas! Blushing a soft red, she held up her index finger to signal 'one minute'. She smiled an embarrassed smile"Um . . . I'll, uh, be right back. I have to get dressed. Just come in if you want."Carmen turned and ran to the stairs. She made it to her temporary room for the summer."Crap! What am I going to wear?!"sh let out a groan as she started ransacking her dresser. Honestly, Carmen had forgotten all about this cook out thing they were having tonight. Finally, getting to the last drawer of the dresser she found an outfit to wear.

Reviewing herself in the mirror, Carmen smiled to herself. She looked great, in her opinion at least. She was wearing a cream colored tube top with a dark brown leather trim, then she had on denim shorts, dark brown sandals that matched the trimming of the tube top, and to top it off she had accessorized with gold hoop earrings and a matching bracelet. She quickly smoothed on some lip gloss and put some natural toned eye liner on before heading out of her room with her phone, the LG Vu, in her pocket. She hurried downstairs, being careful with the old dated staircase."Bye, be back later!"She called to her grandparents has she made it to the front door. She pushed some hair out of her face and smiled up at Tony"Sorry that took so long, I forgot all about the cook out."Carmen shrugged softly"You ready to go?"She asked, wondering if he had a car or if they would have to walk, she didn't want to walk but all their grandparents were making them go to this stupid cook out thing. She'd much rather be in a club in New York and knew her friends probably did too. But, hey, what could they do about it now? Nothing. Except suck it up and find someway to deal with this hell hole they called a town, or whatever it was.

"Yes Mimi I will let the stupid cat out!" Tony shouted at his grandmother annoyed, he wasn't actually yelling at her. . .just shouting so she could hear him from all the way across the house. Tony hated how his grandparents from hicktown wanted to be caled 'Mimi' and 'Pawpaw' unlike regular grandparents who would be thrilled by a name that was typically more normal like grandpa or something. "There you go, dumb cat." Tony said opening the back door to his grandparents small beach house and plopping the grey cat on the porch where it stood for a few seconds, but Tony didn't stick around long to observe it's feline behavior. . .he closed the door and went back to business "Thank you sugar!" His 'mimi' called from where Tony could assume was the kitchen. Tony didn't offer up a thanks, he had already spent two whole days with his mimi and pawpaw and they were already driving him up the wall with all their stupid stories from the olden days. . .talking about how some new industry wants to build a place in folly fields, and how pretty the local girls were, it was enough to make Tony want to vomit multiple times. "So this is your plan of rehab huh mom and dad?" Tony commented with bitter sarcasm to himself as he walked from the back of the house and over to the stairs "Annoy the s**t out of me." Tony mumbled to himself as he began climbing the stairs up to where his 'bedroom' was. "Tony baby!" His grandmother called in her southern accent that seemed to run rampent around this place. Almost up the stairs Tony turned to look at his grandmother who was had a mixing bowl tucked into her arm and a whisk in her other hand "You should probably start getting ready for that BBQ tonight." His grandmother's vowels distorting from the accent. Tony wanted so badly to roll his eyes in defiance but kept them at their norm "Ya. . .I'll do that." He said sounding unamused as he climbed the rest of the stairs.

So far South Carolina had been just as Tony had figured it would be. . .a living nightmare there were not parties, no malls, clubs, anything that centered around a wild and good time. . .something that you could find on any block in downtown Manhattan. Tony was a city boy and planned to keep it that way, sure the countryside was pretty to look at and the clean ocean water was great too but where was the action and excitement? Exactly. While taking a few steps into his bedroom he heard the floor creek loudly as his papa made his way down the hall and towards the stairs "Tony." He heard his pawpaw say in a deep and rusty voice, luckily Tony's back was currently turned to his pawpaw's back since he had managed to enter the doorway of his bedroom, so he rolled his eyes then put on a happy face and faced his old shakey papa "Ya." Tony said trying to make it sound nice but there was an annoyed edge in there somewhere "There'll be some pertty girls there." His papa said trying to make things sound much more promising, but to Tony. . .it wasn't all that encouraging however he'd thrill his papa for now. . .until he was around his New York friends who were also being drug along to this little thing. "I'll look into that." Tony said putting on a fake smile that was horribly convincing, with approval his papa left him to his business. "Not on your life gramps." He mumbled under his breath looking at his open suit case and contemplating whether he was actually going to change into something else or not. . .figuring that it would probably take too much effort to pick out a new outfit Tony decided against a change in clothes besides, he didn't exactly want all the SC kids thinking he was some stuck up rich snob. . .but wait. . .he kinda was, so why not look the part. Tony thought for a moment but decided that going casual was best. . .besides, some hillbilly might ruin his brand name clothing through some freak accident if he wore anything nicer than a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. . .

With a sigh Tony grabbed his phone and listened to the voicemail his mother had so tastefully left him 'Hey Tony bear' I hate it when she calls me that 'how's Folly Fields, have you met any new kids yet? How are mimi and papa? no trouble I assume. There will be if they keep annoying me! Anyway your father and I wanted to call, say hi and check on things so when you get the chance please call us, we miss you already. . .but remember this is for your own good and your own fault son. Tony rolled his eyes and scoffed at that 'We'll talk to you later. . .oh wait! Nick says hi. I'll talk to you soon sweetie, bye.' and with that the voicemail came to an end and Tony then proceeded to delete the message "Ya we'll see if I call you back." He mumbled angrily to himself sliding his LG Vu back in his pocket before emerging from his bedroom unwilingly. As he trudged down the stairs he could hear the news on the television and his grandmother deep frying something, YUCK! Tony thought wondering how deep fried and smothered in grease became an essential part of the food group down here, but no matter he walked through the kitchen and into the living room where he lounged in the couch his papa wasn't occupying. Without any sort of provocation his papa started babbling about the war and how it would be good if Tony learned how to drive a stick shift "I already know pawpaw." Tony said flatly but it was over looked quickly by the topic of the president and how stupid the democrats were.

Tony had completely tuned out his grandfather until he heard him say something "It sure would be nice to have a chauffer this evening." Tony looked at his papa for a second knowing what that meant. . .Mimi and papa wanted HIM to drive them god only knew where, just because I have a drivers license doesn't automatically make me your chauffer, Tony thought before quickly brewing up a lie to get out of driving the larger than life Lincoln Town Car. . .not to mention ditching his grandparents all together. "I can't." Tony blurted out immediately, however it sounded like he completely threw it out there last second. . .which he did. His pawpaw sat up slightly and looked at him for a second "And why not?" He continued to praud "Because." Tony said drawing it out ever so slightly "I promised my New York friends that I'd swing by and pick them up before that cook out thing. . .remember. . ." For the life of him Tony hoped that they didn't have a ride already or anything. "Oh." His papa said sounding surprised, Tony actually shocked his old old man was eating the garbage he was dishing out "Ya. . .sorry." He apologized trying to make it sound as sincere as possible "It's alright, don't hurt my feelin's none. You go on and hang out with your friends and talk to them pertty girls that live around here." Tony nodded "I'll make sure of it." He said flatly again before pulling out his phone and sending an S.O.S. Tony supposed that he didn't really need an excuse to get out of the house besides 'haning out with friends' whether he actually did it or not. . .but here in Folly Fields things got boring pretty fast, especially if you didn't have anyone to moan and complain to.

To: Carmen, Vanessa, Scarlett and Womanizer
From: Tony the Tiger
OMG please please please tell me you guys need
Me for something. My grandparents are making me
Suicidal and the longer I stay in their house the more
IQ points I lose, not to mention the closer I get to
Completely losing my mind. Give me some sort of social
Activity and I'll love you forever!

Just then he couldn't take it anymore. . .Tony would drive around if he had to just to get out of the house that seemed to be slowly shrinking in on him. "Well I'm going to head out." He said wondering exactly how he was going to 'pick up' his friends since papa hadn't given him any for of keys "Well here. . ." His pawpaw started, shaking while pulling out his car keys and handing them to Tony "You can take the Lincoln if you want." Tony made one of those 'eh. . .not really' sort of smiles "I'll just take the truck." He said quickly grabbing the keys and heading for the door "Have fun honey." His mimi called from the kitchen, "If that's possible." He called back in a sickeningly sweet voice before realizing he had 'disrespected his elders' well at the moment he didn't really give a s**t as he walked out into the muggy and humid air. "Ugh!" Tony complained attempting to wipe the sticky sensation off his arms but he knew it wouldn't go away "Damn humidity." He complained hating the climate as he climbed into the dark blue Chevy truck and turned the key.

Tony pulled up to Carmen's current house after she sent him a text message saying that she needed saving of some sort, however it didn't occur to him that she wouldn't be ready yet when he got there, and instead of her greeting him at the door. . .it was her mamaw. . .Carmen and Tony seemed to be the only two who had grandparents with weird alternative names. "MY!" Her grandmother immediately exclaimed "Aren't you just the ticket, I'll get Carmen for you." She said already ushering him inside, bemused and taken aback Tony stepped inside "uh okay." He responded sounding unsure just as Carmen came into view, wearing her jammies, Tony smiled and started chuckling at his close friend, she promised she'd be ready soon and with that Carmen dashed away and off to her bedroom. . .or that's where Tony assumed she'd go. "Come in, sit down." Mamaw said coaxing Tony to sit. While he waited for his friend, Carmen's grandmother proceeded to tell him about her medical problems and the health benefits of working hard everyday and reaping what you sewed, and how 'us city slickers' didn't know what that was like. . .more of the same. . .Tony thought annoyed but pretended to be listening and paying attention even though it went in one ear and out the other.

Tony was eternally greatful when Carmen came down completely ready and practically ran out the door, Tony following not far behind her. She bid her grandparents goodbye and the two were off to this lame a** BBQ thing. "Don't worry." Tony laughed "Your mamaw was gracious enough to tell me about her thyroid problems and how us 'city slickers' didn't weren't anything but a bunch of pencil pushers." He continued laughing just as Carmen asked if he was ready to go "Yep." Tony said sounding almost surprisingly cheery for being in such a place of missory "Pawpaw was nice enough to let me borrow the hurse. . .but I 'took' the truck instead." He said pulling the keys out of his pocket and twirling them around is pointer finger and sliding in the drivers seat and starting the vehicle up. "So I'm seriously thinking about ditching this thing." Tony said backing out of the driveway, looking over his shoulder "But I'm pretty sure my mimi and pawpaw have some electronic device keeping track of where I am." He continued putting the truck in drive and driving off to where he believed where this BBQ would be taking place "Not that they'd know how to use it. . ." He trailed off

ooc; sorry that's so god awfully long all. I promise they'll be at least two paragraphs shorter. I just realized I broke my own rule. . .whoops. Promise to do better.

Scarlett was eternally grateful for the park in this Godforsaken Place. That’s what she had decided to call it, Godforsaken Place. There was no way Scarlett would call this place by it’s real name, just as she didn’t do that with people she disliked. Scarlett had nicknames for everyone and anything she disliked, and they were downright cruel most of the time. Looking over at the little girl who she had stolen the swing from, she saw her giving her a dirty look. With a smirk, Scarlett continued swinging, pretty much oblivious to the fact that this girl was probably heartbroken inside. Scarlett, however, was quite oblivious to a lot of things. Twirling a lock of hair around her finger, she began swinging a little bit faster as a small boy, of about three came to swing beside her. Scarlett was about to take a smoke out of her purse when he had but instead, she fished through her cream coloured quilted Chanel bag taking out her pack of Trident layer gum, the new strawberry and tangy citrus kind.

Popping three pieces of the gum in her mouth, Scarlett closed her eyes and smiled. This gum was Heaven. And even after obsessively brushing her teeth the girl did not really taste the toothpaste as she bit down into it. One of Scarlett’s pet peeves was eating food about brushing your teeth and having it still taste like your mouth was swimming in fluoride. Another one of her pet peeves was that a person had to wait 30 minutes to go in the water after applying sun tan lotion. Sure, it needed to sink in, but what was wrong with a little bit of water? Not that it mattered much, because Scarlett was the one who tended to stay out of the water, perfecting her golden tan. Scarlett was yanked out of her thoughts, just as the little three year old yanked something out of her purse, staring at it incredulously. “Mama, what dis?” he asked, staring in awe at Scarlett’s sleek purple iPhone. She was proud of her baby. She’d had it for two years now, and there was a cute little Piglet sticker of Piglet from Winnie the Pooh on the back. Scowling, she snatched it back, and the boy started to cry, running off. Scarlett watched as his parents scolded him for taking things from others, offering her a sweet, apologetic smile as they brought him home. It was all Scarlett could do to smirk when she saw them do so. Wow, the people here were really sweet to strangers. Especially ones who were so rude to their toddlers. Ugh, toddlers. Scarlett hated children, but she knew one day when she found the right guy, she would have children with him and love them with every fibre of her being. Smiling, she thought about her daughter, being into Acting and Ballet, just like Scarlett had been. She thought of her son and his Daddy throwing around a Football in their huge backyard. Hah, like anyone had backyards like that in New York City. She knew Mr. Right would have everything she wanted and needed though.

Speaking of Mr. Right, the second Scarlett looked down at her phone, she noticed a text from Anthony. Feeling her heart beat about a million paces a minute, she opened it. She hoped he was asking her to hang out, or inviting her to be his date to the BBQ, but she knew he’d been spending a lot of time with Carmen lately to, and it was kind of mellowing her vibe. Opening it with a smile, her smile quickly faded as she saw he’d addressed it to everyone, and not just her. Of course, he wanted to send it to all his friends, but when she saw Carmen and Vanessa’s names in there, she felt a huge pang of jealousy. Reading the text, she couldn’t help but smile a little as she responded back.

To: Anthony
From: Scarlett the Sweetheart. Hah
Seriously? My grandparents house smells like denture cream and whiskey. I don’t think you’d want to step a foot in that place. I am at the park. I don’t know which one, but it’s boring and has lame wooden swings. Can you stop by later? I might need a ride to the BBQ. Xo (that’s hugs and kisses) mwah!

She smirked as she sent it, hoping she didn’t sound too desperate. Scarlett tried her best to make everything sound friendly, and not sexual in her texts, but in person it was the least she could do to just flirt a little. Besides, it wasn’t like Scarlett was trying to bed him, which in some ways she kind of was. All she really wanted right now was a friend, and Tony was doing an amazing job at that. Plus, it didn’t help that he was cute, he smelled nice, he sometimes flirted back and they’d almost kissed- or at least Scarlett thought they had at one point. Their lips were close enough to be considered somewhat of a kiss anyway. Smiling at the thought, her swinging continued as she heard a familiar voice. Looking up, she smiled when she noticed Demetri, her best friend other than Anthony. Standing up, she kissed him on both cheeks and offered him a hug. “Having fun?” she asked, in reply to his question. “That’s almost like asking if Justin Timberlake was in the Backstreet Boys. No way am I having fun. That would be completely and totally wrong, if not illegal” laughing again, she raised a brow, waiting for his reaction. “Tell me though, D, are you having fun?” she laughed a little more, sitting back down on the swing, but not kicking her legs. “I can’t wait for this Hillbilly BBQ, we can get our square dance on” Ugh, the BBQ. That was the last thing Scarlett wanted to do right now. “God, this place stinks” she said, leaning her head on Demetri’s shoulder. “I do NOT want to go to this BBQ” Biting her lip, she looked up at the sky sighing a little. No, she did not want to go to the BBQ, but she was going. For a certain reason. For a certain boy, in fact. If he didn’t show up, then Scarlett knew she would pretty much ditch the joint anyway. But basically, they’d all been forced to go.

Moving her swing closer to Demetri’s, the girl couldn’t help but let out a frown. Three days she’d been here and not once had she had any fun. She was beginning to think this summer was going to be the most strenuous and stretched out summer she had ever had.

A high-pitched noise filled the room. A hand emerge from the bed's cover and tapped blindly at the nightstand beside the bed until it touched a metallic object. He slapped and punched the alarm but nothing that he did would make the noise stop. He finally gave and sat on his bed. He had been sleeping since 3 P.M. It was just that he hadn't slept very well the day before and since he didn't have anything to do, why not? Now with his senses recovered a bit, he could distinguish the sound, it was a baby's cry. He sighed. Cecilia... It was his baby sister. She was nine months old and still cried a lot. "Mom! Cecilia is crying!" He yelled from his room, hopping his mom would o something about it. But there was no response and Cecilia just kept. Dammit! He waited a little longer, but just got full of it, he couldn't take it anymore so he got up and planned to do something about it.

He was still in his boxers, but it didn't matter, he was just going to Cecilia's room. He walked. Her room was just next to his, so that's why he could hear her shrieks perfectly. He stopped when he reached the crib and took some time to observe the little creature in it. She was so cute and beautiful. She ha inherited his mom's stunning blue eyes, something he had failed to do. He took her in his arms and cradled her. In a few minutes she stopped crying an looked like she was about sleepily pass out. He smiled and placed her on the little baby bed. He was so goo with kids and baby, but that was likely since he had been working with children for some time now. He turned on his feet an headed to the corridor. Just as he left Cecilia's room, he stumbled on his mom, it looked as if she had just arrived because the car keys were in her hands. "Hey mom, I just put Cecilia to sleep so.. Shhh." He indicated her. "And I'm going back to bed." He said happily, he still was sleepy and lazy, there was nothing better to do for him then to cuddle in his bed and take another nap. "What?! Why are you even still in your boxers, go change! Did you forgot about the cook out? How long have you been sleeping anyways? Go change!" His brow furrowed. Cook out? He didn't remember any cook out planned for today... Oh yes, that cook out! With the New Yorkers. Boy, it was going to be a long night.

Louie ran to his room to pick some clothes. He didn't want to take too long so he grabbed the first clothes that he thought was nice. Of course he didn't forget one of his charming hats. He gave a quick look at the mirror to fix his hair. Ah, he was alright. He was going down stairs when he heard his phone beeping. He took his cell out of his pocket an saw that it was a text message. And of course it was from no one other then Rachel, his best friend. He smiled as he finished reading and raced to reply when he got at the bottom floor.

                                                To: Ray-ray
                                                From: Louie
                                                hello!
                                                i'm about to leave home
                                                well, there are snobs everywhere
will just have to put up with them
'cause it seems 'll see lots of them
it's the invasion of new yorkers!

Aaaand.. Send! Louie laughed a bit. The invasion of the new yorkers to Folly Fields, that could give a movie, he thought jokingly. He wasn't sure about the yankees, he hadn't met them yet and didn't know how they were like, he wasn't the type to judge. He would try to be nice to them at first and they were really snobs, well, he would let Ray kick their buts! Kidding. But still, what could six new yorkers do to them? They were absolutely nothing in Folly Fields. Even if they were the evilest people, they could do nothing here. Folly Fields was a small town with a low population, but certainly was bigger than a few teenagers from New York. He wished to be able to befriends and like them though, it would be nice to have friends from other places. And Louie thought a lot about someday getting out of Folly Fields and trying life in a big city. He was amazed by the photos he saw of his father in New York and other metropolitan cities, he traveled a lot.

Louie went to the kitchen where his mother was. She said to him he could go to the barbecue first because she still had something to do and was going to be a little late. She seemed very busy and stressed. Be fore going to the garage where his skate was, he stopped at the door and turned. "You know mom, I'm actually kind of hungry, could you stop what you're doing and make snack?" She almost threw a fork at him. Yeah, it probably wasn't time to play with her. He ran to the garage laughing.

There was his skate. He went everywhere with it. It was really torn out an very used, but he loved it. It was one of the first thing that he bought with his own money. He didn't hesitate to jump on it and start rolling. He went quite fast on it, he didn't know how to do many tricks and moves though, but he was satisfied of jumping around and doing some ollies. He lowered his body so he could get more impulse. He manage to catch as small peace of wood that was on the street while on the skate and use it as an paddle. Soon enough he got to the cook out and the first person he saw was Rachel. He smiled. He jumped out of the skate when he reached the grass and went out to greet her. "Hey sports! I got you a stick, wanna play fetch?" He said smirking. He knew it was lame but it was almost a ritual to salute her with a joke and sacred to receive a punch afterwords. Now that he had a better look at her, he notice she wasn't in her usual baggy tomboy clothes. She actually looked nice in girly clothes, really nice. "What did you do to Rachel, Annabelle?" He teased her. After sometime, he looked around. "So, any signs of the yankees?" He realized he was still holing the stick and put it on the ground.

Carmen smirked to herself. She couldn't help but find it funny that her Mamaw called her and her friends 'city slickers'. Mamaw probably didn't realize it but 'city slicker' was the name of a Perkins breakfast. Although she couldn't help but feel bad for Tony since he'd had to sit through the thyroid story. She'd heard it at breakfast, lunch, and dinner since she'd got here. It. Was. Awful. She climbed in the car and leaned back in her seat"I swear, I will have some excuse to get you out of the house tomorrow, if skip on picking up Scarlett and The A**hole for this BBQ."She looked over at him hopefully. Carmen already knew she didn't need to explain who The A**hole was. Tony, Vanessa, and The Womanizer already knew that she refused to say his name or even acknowledge his existence until he was down on his knees begging for forgiveness for what he did. And she knew him well enough to know that he would never do that. She also knew that she would never forgive him. He was such a man wh*re! Carmen had a hard time believing she'd ever said she loved him and he'd said it back, although it had happened. The worst part of that night when she caught them was that neither of them had said anything to her, they just stared at her until she slapped The A**hole and ran out of there. Carmen closed her eyes and tried to forget about what she'd walked in on. What she'd seen. What she'd felt . . . Just everything about that night. It was horrible. And because of that stupid a**hole she'd been scared of committing to a relationship, that would be the reason for her and The Womanizer sleeping together, although that was a secret and they were keeping it from everyone.

She honestly and truly hated both The A**hole and Scarlett. She hadn't talked to either of them in a month since it had been a month since she caught the two in the closet. Carmen pulled out her phone and started a new message. It had been hours since she talked to Vanessa. For them two a few hours might as well be a century, that's how close they are. She smiled to herself, thinking of how she and Vanessa would be at either of their houses right now getting ready for some party and waiting for Tony and The Womanizer to pick them up, had they been in New York at the moment. She and Vanessa were sisters by soul, they didn't need blood to tell them that. Since Carmen and Vanessa were so close, they usually left Scarlett out of their plans and such, but honestly it seemed like neither of them could care less. They hate how bossy she was and how she thought she could control everyone. But most of all they hated that fake friendly act she put on. They could see right through it, sadly others couldn't. But what Carmen also hated about Scarlett was that she was trying to get with Tony. And no she had no idea why she hated that but she figured part of it was that she didn't want to see Tony get used. And she had a strong feeling that was what Scarlett was planning. Although, she wished she knew what exactly he was gonna get used for. Sex? Popularity? Just someone to boss around? Hell! It could b all of those.

Carmen looked at Tony, not liking the silence. She never really was a fan of silence unless she was drawing, painting, sculpting, writing, or doing anything artistic really."Did I mention you're a life saver for saving me a ride with Mamaw and Gramps?"She asked, flashing him a smile and letting her voice show just how grateful she was for him picking her up. She looked out the window and sighed, they were on a dirt path! Gawd, she didn't even know these things existed until she came here. Ugh! I hate this caveman town! When we get back to New York, mom and dad are so making up for this torture by buying me a new car. Carmen couldn't even begin to believe her parents, her filthy stinking rich, spoiled off their asses parents had grown up in this hick hillbilly town! They didn't even have an accent! And oh freaking joy, as if their grandparents weren't enough, they were going to this BBQ to meet 'them country folk'. She'd heard that phrase 'them country folk' when her parents had been joking around with her friends parents about Folly Fields. How nice, isn't it? They were making fun of Folly Fields and then they go and ship their own children here. If they wanted to send the kids south so bad why couldn't they have at least sent them to Florida?!

It felt good to feel the fast wind push towards her, but there was only wind because she was moving so fast. Rachel leaped in the air, crossing over the invisible line that Tyler had told her was the 'finish line'. Both of her brothers came hauling butt as the came behind her a few minutes later. She high-fived both of them and pushed shoved Tyler playfully, "You're never gonna beat me, pal." She said as she adjusted her top and glanced to her brother out of the corner of her eye. Of course, he was giving her the evil eye and everytime he did that she couldn't help but break out into laughter. Holding her stomach and cracking up, she breathed in heavily and covered her mouth with her hand. No way was it possible, seriously...there was no way. Kevin seemed to be all caught up in himself since he was messing with his phone and cursing it under his breath. Well, waiting wasn't going to help her 'impatientness' and she hadn't recieved any text from either of her best friend's so she patted Tyler on the back meaning for him to follow her then began walking where a huge crowd was. The town was so small that they all knew eachother, even if they lived 'far' down the road, they still knew eachother and everyone was friendly with one another. Surprisingly, South Carolina held it's good share of nice manners, now...i'm not saying that everybody, aka rachel, has GREAT manners.

Ray tighted her ponytail and came to a stop as she examined as a very blonde and very disrespectful-looking girl decided to bully, no kidding bully the little kids that wanted to go on the swings. "Wow, i'm gonna teach this girl a lesson," She had only taken one stinkin' step before her body was yanked back and she stumbled, for the second time that day, to catch her balance. She huffed and blew her bangs out of her face to see her daddy standing next to Tyler, then she noticed her 'father dearest' hadn't let go of her arm. She looked up at her father and sighed, oh great he was either going to give her a lecture or boss her around."Don't start anything while we're here, young lady. I don't want to see someone walking out of here with any broken limbs, you hear me?" He said in his most fatherly voice. Okay, so in their household, mom runned the house, not dad. In her opinion, her dad was more like a kid himself, and of course she didn't mind! She loved her dad. Though, not beating anyone up like that blonde chick? She didn't know if it was really possible for her to do that. "How 'bout a bloody nose," She mumbled sarcastically and folded her arms across her chest at her fathers eyes that said 'really young lady?', "Okay, fine!" She rolled her eyes and waved her father off, turning around then as she began walking her phone began to ring. She read the text from Jess and grinned.

oh, believe me; i will not !
                                                (: ohhhkay ! i'll see you in a
                                                minute, purdy lady !

After responding, Anna released a sigh and jogged around the perimeter suddenly seeing a very familiar figure come into view. Not slowing down, Rachel caught up to her best friend and smiled brightly. She watched as he picked up a stick and shook it as if she was a dog. "You're SUCH a dork." She said with a shake of her head and jogged all the way over to him, with a smile. Best friend's had to stay together, right? Well, see the down point of it was having a little crush on your bestfriend. Pushing that thought aside, Ray pulled her friend into a hug and left her arm around his shoulders. When he spoke again, the brunette was totally confused. What did he mean? She raised an eyebrow then looked down to her outfit, sighing and slumping her shoulders, "I was going to change, but then my mom was being all 'if you don't get into the damn car, you'll be sleeping with your eyes open.'" She rolled her eyes at the memory and took a step in front of him, twirling around, "Tadaaaa!" She said with very thick sarcasm. Rachel tapped her chin with in her index finger and her eyebrows furrowed. Maybe that girl on the swings who seemed so out of place was one of the 'yankee's'. "I think I saw one, but believe me, she seems to be a really big, well y'know. This willl be interesting..." She yanked his arm forward and linked her arm with his. Ok, no way was she going to go talk to any of the new yorkers by herself if all of them were like the blonde girl.

Truthfully, she reminded Ray of godzilla or something similiar to that. Plus, her father just let her know that she couldn't knock any of their teeth-in which meant she couldn't get herself worked up. "Over there." She said as she pointed in the direction of the swingsets where now two figures sat. Hmm, he's new. She thought and looked to the girl who was looked like she was being for pouty. She knew for a fact that they were going to be butting heads, or maybe not. "I think, for her own safety, that I should probably-""Come on, Tyler!" Glancing over her shoulder, Rachel looked to her father who just so happened to be walking by with her little brother. Really? Did he always have to follow her around and make sure she was doing the right thing? "Here." She said and pulled Louis' hat off then put it on her head, "I don't want to say 'hi', but my dad is flipping stocking us...i'll follow your lead." She pointed in the direction of the two kids her age and waited for Louie.

Alexandria Rachel Leites
Odd by nature, flirty by choice

Popping another chocolate covered pretzel in her mouth, Alex grabbed her orange juice and headed towards her room. She needed to start to get ready for the cook out, that she really didn't want to go to, but it was an excuse to see her boys and to see the new bait from New York. Sure flirting with her best friend was fun, especially since he loved flirting back, but it was killing her friendship with Jess. Still she constantly found herself asking if their friendship was even worth it. Alex hadn't quite figured that out yet, and she wasn't sure when she was going to figure that out either. However she knew thing for sure, if she kept flirting with Jess's boyfriend, who was also her best friend, her and Jess's friendship would not live to see the summer's end, especially if anything happened between the two love birds.
After chugging down her orange juice, Alex began to nibble on the remaining bits of her pretzel and raid her closet. Normally she'd just throw on whatever, but with her not going and approaching the yankees, she had to look great so they would approach her. Well that and she just had to make sure that her old friends could clearly see she was extremely happy the way she was. Especially Rachel, she killed Andrew when she broke up with him, and that was something she would never forgive her for. Just like Rachel would never forgive her fro breaking poor Louis's heart. After flipping through a couple dresses she found the perfect one, and she had the shoes that would match with it perfectly. Plus if she added curl to her hair it would look absolutely amazing! Quickly she changed, did her make-up and curled her hair before slipping on her shoes and heading to the living room.
"Ah Alexandria, I was wondering when you were going to grace us with your presence so we could leave." Alex heard her mom say as soon as she stepped into the living room. She didn't respond though, and just walked to the kitchen table, grabbed her purse and pulled her phone out so she could text her best buds. "Aren't you going to say anything to Mom?" Her little brother Daniel asked her. Turning in his direction she just gave him a look that stated, are you stupid? He was supposed to be the super smart one in the family too. Ridiculous. "Honestly Dan, you have to ask, don't you know that answer? You're the smart one in the family." She said before exiting her house and getting into the car where she sent messages to her boys.

U && ur bro r there right???
I CAN'T b alone with Rachel there.

She sent the message and her family soon joined her in the car and the headed to the cook out. She could not wait to see what was dragged to Folly Fields from New York, and what boys they had to offer. It would be some summer she knew that for sure. Especially since she wasn't sure how long it would take before most of the relationships in Folly Fields would fall apart. When they finally arrived, Alex was slow to get out of the car, wondering if her lovely boys were there yet. But when she finally got out of the car she just took a deep breath and walked towards the cook out. This sure would be one interesting night, Alex was sure of it.

Admit it, life would be boring without me.
