Alex was soaked to no end, and she had barely made a dent in getting home. As much as she hated getting a ride in storms, she had no choice now because there was no way in hell she was going to get any further. She was jumping and cowering every time there was a flash of lightning or crack of thunder. At this moment the brunette hated her fear, it made her feel like she was falling into a million pieces. It made her want to cry. She wished there was someone there for her at this moment, Jess would probably be her best bet, because though they both disliked thunder and lightning, it would be nothing it they were together. But as of now she was alone, being stupid and walking through it, trying to get home.

But that was enough, she had to give up, she knew she wouldn't be able to make it any further. She would have to call someone and get a ride, or find some place to hide out until the storm gave out. Calling someone was her number one option, that was for sure, after all it would be better than waiting the storm out in a place where she was most likely still exposed to the elements. Reaching in her pocket to get her phone, Alex mentally cursed. Of course she wouldn't have it. And she knew exactly where it was to. Her phone was sitting on her kitchen table, right where she set it while Dex and her were taking a break from washing her car/spraying each other with the hose. Now she needed to find a phone to use. The smartest choice she had was to knock on someone's door whose lights were on and then ask to use their phone. Good thing it was a small town too and most people knew who she was.

Walking to the nearest house she knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer. She was somewhere between patient and impatient as she waited for someone to answer to the door. It may have appeared that she was extremely impatient, because she was was not standing still, but she was merely trying to stay warm; she hadn't noticed how numb and cold her body had gotten while she was trying to get home.

Outside the storm raged on, banging against the tin roof of Demetri's grandparents' home. It was actually kind of loud inside the house because of the tin roof, but not as loud as it was outside. Demetri was positive of that. The thunder clapped and lightning struck. Demetri was ready for the electricity to go out, but it hadn't yet. He hoped it wouldn't. Finally his grandmother set all the food down on the table. That was when his grandfather appeared. One minute Demetri was getting his plate, the next minute he looked up and there was hi grandfather. He looked mad for some reason and Demetri soon found out why. As Demetri walked back to the dinner table, he heard his grandfather mumbling about how kids didn't have any respect for grown-ups nowadays and how he would have got smacked if he'd gotten dinner before his grandparents and parents when he was Demetri's age. Demetri just rolled his eyes and grabbed his fork, ready to eat. Just as he was about to eat a bit of the mashed potatoes, his grandmother smacked his hand. Demetri put his fork down and looked at his grandmother. "Now what?" He asked, his eyebrows coming together. "We need to say the prayer first." His grandmother complained, his grandfather nodding his head and still looking angry.

O....kay." Demetri said, bowing his head. However, he didn't close his eyes. He was just staring at the linoleum floor. He heard his grandmother clear her throat and he looked up. "Say the prayer Demetri." She told him. Demetri sighed and bowed his head again. His grandmother was determined to make him say it apparently. He had been avoiding it since he had gotten there. Seemed there was no getting around it tonight. Demetri cleared his throat and started speaking. "Good food, good meat, good God let's eat!" Demetri had to hold back his laugh. He tried to keep a straight face as his grandparents glared at him. Demetri just smiled and placed some potatoes in his mouth. It was actually pretty good too. Demetri then dug in, impressed with his grandmothers cooking skills. "This is good food grandma." Demetri said with a mouth full of food. His grandmother smacked his shoulder and told him to mind his manners. Demetri rolled his eyes and just laughed. Half his plate was gone when they suddenly heard a knock at the door. Demetri blinked and looked at his grandparents. "Who could that be?" His grandmother asked, but still making no attempt at getting up to get the door.

Demetri sighed and scooted his seat back. "I'll get it." He said in a dead tone. His grandparents just smiled at him. Obviously that was the response they had been waiting for from him. Demetri walked through the living room and to the door. He opened it and was very surprised to find Alex standing there. Demetri's eyes widened as he took in that state she was in. She was shivering and was drenched. "Alex!" Demetri said, clearly worried as to why Alex had been out in the pouring rain. "Come in. Let me get you a towel." Demetri said, holding the door open for Alex. When she was inside, he left the room, quickly returning with a towel. He extended his arm to hand it to her. "Here. Uh....wow. You're soaked. What were you doing out in the rain?" He asked, his eyebrows furrowing and his forehead wrinkling a little. The last time he had seen Alex was when he had left her to go talk to Carmen. he sort of regretted having left her by herself. "Do you want something to change into? I could give you a shirt and pair of shorts if you want. Ya know, so you can get dried and warm up." Demetri offered, fearing that she'd die of pneumonia if she didn't get dry quickly.

Demetri was about the last person Alex expected to open the door. Apparently this was his grandmother's house. She was really thankful though that it was someone she knew, after all this way she felt more comfortable. And it was less awkward than walking into a house full of strangers. Plus, based on the tone of his voice, he was concerned about her in some way. Flinching as she heard a crack of thunder, Alex answered his question to why she was out in the rain. "I was going home, and I was hoping to get home before the storm kicked up, but clearly I didn't." She explained as she took the towel from him and just wrapped it around her shoulders. She didn't care about drying herself at the moment, she just wanted to warm up some.

When Demetri offered so dry clothes, Alex nodded. "Sure. And thanks." She said, wrapping the towel around her a little tighter. Dry clothes that may be too big were better than clothes that fit just right but were completely soaked, after all her shirt, when wet, love to be see-through. The flimsy fabric was to blame of course, but Alex didn't really care. Looking down at her feet, she realized how much water had collected in her boots and sighed. Her poor boots, she treated them like they were a living creature. She hardly got these pair dirty because she didn't work in them, she just wore them because she liked them. Of course if it was her other pair she wouldn't mind, her mom bought that pair anyway. Her brother got her this pair for her birthday the last time she saw him.

Alex was really glad that Demetri was the one who answered the door. Sure he may have left her for his ex, but she'd gotten over that. She wasn't one to linger, she preferred to live for the day and not for fixing yesterday. Life was a present thing not a past thing. People who spent their time moping around were stupid and wasting their lives, that's why she was so bent on cheering Dex up. That was also why she was glad it was Demetri. He gave her the impression that he was all about living up the day until there was no more day left. That was something she found was a good quality to have.

What about your mom? Tony thought to himself, little did he know that Jess' mom had died the same year he had shoved her in the pool and called her 'curly haired frizzy girl' "Will do." Tony said not really sure he could actually keep out of Matt's way especially when it was probably on Matt's own accord, after all now that they've met Tony could only imagine that Matt would be keeping a close eye on him from now on, oh well nothing he couldn't handle. Tony followed Jessica upstairs as she pulled him up the stairs but as they continued climbing he swore that her grip had highly increased in strength, and he wasn't exactly sure why but he figured that she could possibly have a fear of stairs or something interesting like that. Laughing though at the whole 'dork' thing "Really." Tony laughed surprised at how much that sounded like something he'd do although he hoped that he'd pick something cooler than the title 'dork' but he suddenly became more than confused when she started explaining the whole dynamics of their friend group "You all own one another?" Tony asked with an amused expression on his face, but he wasn't even beginning to wrap his head around those dynamics and at the same time he was wondering if they all had their own special names if this Louie kid was 'the dork'. However, before he could even ask that question Jess was pulling him into her other brothers' room and demanding that she raid his room. Tony stood there for a second looking around the room before looking over at Vince. From this angle Tony wasn't exactly sure whether he was bigger than Matt or not, but he seemed a lot less brutal than Matt, which won him points with Tony already.

Just as Vince asked who the new guy was Tony opened his mouth to answer but Jess took care of it anyway and all Tony really did was nod before watching her brother play his video game "Watcha playing?" Tony asked curiously moving to see the screen but turned to Jessica when she started asking about his sleeping attire. Normally he'd go without a shirt but he decided that since he was staying at a somewhat strangers house he didn't exactly feel totally comfortable walking around without a shirt even though Jess had seen him without one and he probably didn't look that much different than her brothers. "Shirt." Tony said turning to face Jess before whirling back around to examine the game but was quickly asked again about what kind of pants he liked to wear. Persoannly he didn't really have much a preference but he liked the colors of the plaid ones. "Plaid." Tony said simply before turning his attention back to Vince, who was now addressing him. This guy wasn't bigger than Matt, in fact when it came to his height Tony could probably easily stare him down but this Vince was definetly more built than Matt which was a little odd but Tony didn't really mind too much, at least this guy was acting nicely, in fact this guy was nice enough to introduce himself without glaring at himself and even shake his hand. Taking Vince's hand in a firm handshake Tony shook it with a friendly smile, much more than he offered Matt that was for sure. "Thanks man." Tony said dropping his hand at his side just as his phone buzzed in his pocket again, probably Vanessa.

Tony raised a curious eyebrow and cocked his head to the side ever so slightly, the perfectly bemused expression washed over his face "Sorry for what?" Tony asked confused not exactly sure where Vince was going with this but it actually turned out to be rather humerous. Tony let out a hearty laugh when her brother mentioned that he was sorry for his sister liking him which recieved a playful glare from Jessica. Tony bit his lower lip for a second and put all his weight on his heels before he laughed lightly again and then spoke "Is that so?" Tony shot Jessica a playful glare in return "Well." He started as if he was going to "It happens to me all the time, no woman is immune to my roguish charm." Tony teased, wondering what sort of reaction that would spark from both Jess and her brother. Tony stood there watching the video game screen again "So really? What is this game?" Tony asked, digging his hands in his pockets again and watching for a moment.

ooc; still kinda crappy. Very scatter brained and distracted today.

User Image"You know how they say chivalry is dead?"

After finishing their little ice cream break, which had gone really well from his side of things, he'd driven straight home to shower and change into some nicer clothes. He assumed it was pretty casual, but he still wanted to look nice for Scarlette who would look lovely in a paper bag. He was no dressed in nice-ish pants and a green button-up that made the green in his eyes come out even more. His hair had dried into his natural curls, and those mad him look pretty nice too, but he wasn't one to boost his own ego before a date; it made him feel cocky and rude, two feelings he never liked to touch his dating life. He didn't really like them anywhere else in his life either, but he was a guy.

After he'd gotten ready and told his mom where he was going - he was a bit of a mama's boy at heart, but only Jess, Alex, LeeLee and Dex knew that - and he'd then headed off to the only florist in town. She probably knew about the date tonight because it was such a small town, and someone had tipped her off, but she'd had a bunch of flowers laid out for him when he got there, and she was beaming at him madly. He gave her a quizzical look and looked through all the flowers, searching for one for Scarlette. He figured everyone who was trying to woo her had given her just about every kind of flower imaginable, but he didn't care. He finally settled on a single rose, Scarlette in color with bleeds of pink on the tips of the petals. The florist seemed confused as he gave her just the one, but she didn't question him; just gave him his change and whispered good luck to him, attaching the little note he'd requested.

He had been heading to Scarlette's grandparents house when the thunder had started, and had stepped down a little harder on the pedal, trying not to get soaked on his way to dinner. He pulled up in front of the house, picking up the single rose and walking to the front door, feeling a few droplets of rain, and he swore, the second he had stepped under the porch covering, it started pouring, narrowly missing him and his crisp attire.

He straightened up and held the rose behind his back, reading the little note he'd written to Scarlette in his mind, trying to guage in advance if she would find it cute, cheesy or down-right stupid, he really couldn't tell. She was a bit of a mystery, but he kind of liked it when a girl wasn't a completely opened blossom; it let you see more and more beauty as each and every petal moved away from the center finally leaving the flower, beautiful and open; trusting. That was the way he saw it. But he could have also compared her to a book, and as he turned every page, he found something else he liked about her; he should know best about books, after all. The little note read, "Dearest Scarlette, You're beauty and uniqueness surpass that of this rose; one for everyday I've wished to know you. - Andrew." And he wished it were better, but he could think of no other way to put it. They hadn't covered much about romantic notes in his recent books. And, still holding the rose behind his back, he rang the bell.

"I'm trying to prove all of them wrong by merely existing."

Demetri saw his grandmother peek around the corner from the kitchen and Demetri furrowed his eyebrows. His grandmother just smiled and went back into the kitchen. Demetri turned his full attention back to Alex. he watched as she stood dripping with cold rain. He raised an eyebrow as she explained why she had been out in the rain. He wondered why she hadn't just called someone to pick her up, but he didn't ask. Demetri stood there quietly, not exactly sure how to respond to her explanation. He scratched the back of his head, giving Alex a small smile. He felt kind of weird because he felt eyes watching him. He was pretty sure that his grandparents were watching him peeking now and then. He let out a sigh, feeling awkward because of his grandparents. However, he remembered that when he had talked and danced with her at the party thing that other day, it had not been awkward. So that was so of comforting. Maybe he could take her upstairs and just talk with her. But then again, he was afraid to ask that. He wasn't looking for sex. At least not yet anyway.

Demetri smiled a little wider when Alex agreed to him getting dry clothes for her. he'd had to find something that would at least fit around her waist. Demetri was trying very hard not to stare at Alex's shirt. It was see-through and very distracting. He didn't wanna be slapped so he kept his eyes on her face. Then he nodded and turned towards the stairs. "If you want you came come up with me and change in my bathroom. There's plenty of towels in there just in case you need more." Demetri said, nodding his head towards the stairs. "But I'll go ahead and get some clothes for you." He said, dashing up the stairs, not really even waiting for Alex to answer. Really, Alex would have to go upstairs to change anyway because there wasn't a bathroom downstairs.

Demetri burst into his room and straight to the drawer he had put his clothes in. He rummaged through the clothes, trying to find something small enough for Alex. At first he didn't find anything. He was afraid he wouldn't find anything at all and Alex would have to continue dripping and being wet. But eventually he did come across a pair of shorts that looked like they would fit her waist. They were a dark gray basketball shorts he had had for quite some time. He nodded and held onto them. he started digging for a shirt. he actually came across that faster than the shorts. The shirt sort of matched the shorts, just a dimmer gray. He smiled and nodded again, closing his drawer and making his way to the stairs. He appeared at the top of them and waved for Alex. "I found you some clothes. The bathroom's are up here. I'll get you a bag for your wet clothes." He said, disappearing again and going to the closet next to the bathroom. He got out a plastic bag and waited next to the door for Alex with a smile on his face. For some reason he was anxious to see her in his clothes. It was sure to be an interesting site.

Mary frowned more at the rain and the many pot holes that lined the roads of their small communities. If she knew it was this bad she would have call her mom or something. No doubt, they were already worried about her and sure enough her phone went off two times in a row. One message was from her father, who unlike her mother like to text more than call and the other was from Lewis. She sighed as tried to text them back with frozen fingers.

She got threw with her father's message that told him that she was getting a ride from Lewis and that she was okay. She loved him and that she would be home as soon as she could possibly be. She knew that if she sent him that stuff that he would take it more calmly than if she told him that she was stuck on the crappy road that lead to the bakery and still awhile from their home in the pouring rain. She didn't need two people looking for her in this weather. She sighed as she looked at Lewis' message. He was coming out in this weather to look for her, great. She didn't need a babysitter but once the thought came out and showed its ugly head she tripped and sprung her ankle. She bent down and rubbed her now hurting ankle with a pout. She quickly hobbled to the porch of the bakery that was owned by old Mrs. Giggles. She used to make fun of the woman but she would never do that now. With a rub to her phone screen she replied to Lewis.

To: Lewy-duck
From: LeeLee
Message: Usually I would argue my point, but considering that I hate thunder and just sprung my ankle I think I will meet you under the bakery's porch ..It’s closer to your house so it won’t take that long to get here.

She then took to rubbing her ankle with a new passion. She groaned as it started to swell. That meant that she was going to run funny for awhile and that she would have to go a few days without playing any sport. The thoughts of her ankles and sports went away with a flash of lightning and thunder clapped by her that made her ball up into a tiny ball to wait for Lewis to find her and rescue her for the millionth time in their friendship. She had only a few times in her memory that he hadn't been there to help her and that was when he was mad at her and they were in a fight. She remembered in the girde grade when he pushed her down and she scraped her knee and he was the one that cried because he hurt her. She quickly forgave him because she didn't want him to cry. Yeah that was just like them and their relationship, and according to last night it would always be that way. She sighed as she tried to roll her leg but stopped half way threw mid roll and decided against it.

“Now, you better be nice to this boy Scarlett do you hear?” Her Grandmother was babbling on about chaotic nonsense as Scarlett stood by the door, anxiously waiting for Andrew to arrive. “I will” she said with a smile, not really sure what else to say. As she waited patiently, she watched as her Grandparents set up the food on the table for two in the backyard that was garnished with a glass bowl full of daisies, her favourite flower, and a gorgeous pink silk tablecloth. Her grandparents had seemed to go all out on this, meaning they probably really liked Andrew and thought he could change her bad girl ways. So far, even though it hadn’t even started yet, this had been the best date Scarlett had ever been on, and her grandparents were setting up the table so gorgeously she already felt in heaven.

Giggling, she saw her Grandma smile from the corner of her eye, knowing that she’d probably made an impact on Scarlett. Little did Granny know that Scarlett and Andrew had met earlier today. They had gone on an ice cream date, and it was wonderful. Wow, two dates already with a boy she’d only met 5 hours or so ago? This seemed to be looking up for her, and Scarlett was starting to wonder if things with her Yankee friends would be looking up as well. Heading back towards the door, Scarlett fixed and adjusted her cardigan and waited on the small piano bench in her Grandma’s front hall. Getting ready to play a tune, Scarlett’s fingers stopped and fell from the keyboard as the doorbell rang. Running eagerly to get it with a smile still on her face that she could not seem to hide, Scarlett ran over and opened it, seeing Andrew, and a bunch of disgusting rain.

“Oh, God! Come inside, please!” she said, inviting him in quickly with another smile. He was making an amazing impression. He looked amazing, he smelled amazing and he was wearing green, which was her favorite color. Though she knew Andrew did not know of this. Looking at him, with barely a rain drop on his body, Scarlett smiled big, noticing a rose in his hand. Not wanting to sound too forward, she quickly changed the subject to something else. “Dinner was scheduled to be outside” she said, looking in the backyard where it was storming. “But my grandparents moved it to the sun room”

Taking Andrew’s hand, she led him into the sunroom as she watched her Grandparents make their way up the stairs, probably to watch the latest season of Golden Girls. With a giggle and a smile, Scarlett opened the door and lead him into a room with a table full of pot roast and gravy, garlic mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad planted right in the middle. There were two glasses for white wine, if Andrew drank that at all, and two seats, right across from each other. Slowly and gracefully heading to her seat, Scarlett tried her hardest not to smile and be giddy and look at the rose in his hand. She knew he would give it to her all in good time, but if this was how her entire summer was going to be, involving things like butterflies and strange way too fast crushes, Scarlett knew she would either be completely and totally in bliss with her life or completely screwed. But either way, she knew she would be happy. And as she sat down with Andrew to enjoy the wonderful dinner, Scarlett Reynolds knew she finally had nothing to lose.

User Image"And I don't know why, but with you I dance,"

Jess shrugged, turning back around and dropping the solid colored pants back into the drawer and looking for a shirt to go with the plaid pair of pants, coming up with a plain black pair. But her mouth dropped open as she heard what came out of his mouth next. She turned around slowly to stare at him with wide blue eyes. Well, someone sure was confident with themselves. She quickly balled up the pajamas and threw them at him, glaring at him playfully. "Don't be so sure," she warned him, her blue eyes glinting. "You aren't as charming as you think you are." She was tempted to tell him she just broke up with Dex, but decided that that little tidbit of information was unneccesary and an over-share.

Too bad that Vince didn't feel the same. "Well, she's pretty good at resisting charm, just not her fellow nerds." Jess whirled around to face him, open mouthed in her shock, and he gave her an evil glare that almost screamed 'This is for my girlfriend.' Her look of shock immediately turned to a pouty glare that really looked adorable, but menacing at the same time. "Well, I guess she can now, considering she just dumped her nerd last night." Her mouth popped open in the shape of an 'o' and her eyes filled with flames. She grabbed the only hard thing handy, and lobbed it at Vince's head, which just happened to be a baseball, but he saw it coming and ducked quickly. How did he even know that. Stupid small town.

She crossed her arms and glared at him, and Vince knew he had overstepped a boundry, and offering her an apologetic smile, she rolled her eyes. Her arms dropped to her sides as she half stomped, half walked out of the room with a bit of a huff; the only reason she didn't full way stomp was because that would hurt her foot; a lot. "Please come downstairs when you're dressed, Tony." she told him at the door, offering Vince one more glare, and then she was gone.

Vince turned to Tony after she was gone. "Sorry about that, dude. She obviously didn't want you to know about that just yet. Last night at the barbeque, she dumped her first boyfriend ever; they were going on two years. Jess isn't violent and her temper is hard to stir, so she's more torn up over it than I first thought; it's just like with Juliana." He sighed, and shook his head, kinda mad at himself for upsetting his little sister so much. They were a lot closer than he and Matt had ever been, though that hadn't been true for Jess when she was little, since Matt was younger and closer to her in age; he'd always been the really protective brother. But ever since Jess's riding accident, she and Vince had been a lot closer than her and Matt, and Matt wasn't exactly happy about this.

And then he remembered that Tony had been asking about the game currently paused on the screen of his T.V. "Oh, that's Dragon Wars. It was kind of based off that book, Eragon." He grinned and sat back down into the chair. "The object of the game is to over throw the evil kingdom in steps. I've beat it three different times, but I've never tried it human, which is what I'm doing now, and it's hard." Vince unpaused the game, and his charcter was decorated in armor, and in his hand was the flame blade that he had just earned. The character started to run across the terrain, which was mostly flat grasslands with a couple hills. As he was running by the trees, something jumped out and latched onto the character; the graphics were rather good. Vince started pressing the buttons on his controller furiously, but to no avail, because the screen read, 'MasterVince has died.' "I keep dying. And Jess keeps making fun of me for it, because she's usually a human and has no trouble with it." He stated it with mocking tone as a menue that asked Vince if he wanted to quit or revive himself, and he chose revive, going back to the point where he had been when he'd leveled up.

"In a storm, in my best dress. Fearless."

Louie's chin was hovering milimeters over the steering wheel as he squinted his eyes in a desperate attempt to see more than five feet in front of him when lightening wasn't flashing. Rain was pelting the windshiled mercilously and even at their top speed the wipers weren't helping much. The wind rocked and even caused the Ford Ranger to swerve slightly from side to side as Lewis drove quickly but carefully towards Folly Fields, after all he had a horrible fear of going too fast and hydroplaining. As he continued on his way the lightening only giving him temporary relief from the strain of trying to see, the static was still overbearing the sounds of the radio but he could barely hear the faint sounds of some kind of song by Lady Gaga. . .or that's what it sounded like anyways. "God damn!" Louie exclaimed exhasperated to himself as the wind blew debris around and rocked the little truck from side to side as he pressed in on the clutch and jerked the gear shift around, the truck jumping forward slightly. Barely making out the Folly Fields City Limits sign, Louie felt his phone buzz in his pocket and nearly knew that it was Mary. Struggling for a minute he pulled out the phone and read the message from his friend in fragmented pieces, caught between reading the message and watching the road incase something unexpected flew out in front of him. After understanding the message Lewis tossed his phone in one of the pockets on the dashboard as he came rolling into town. "God Leelee." Lewis exclaimed to himself not sure whether he should be angry with her or glad that she had only escaped with a sprained ankle, he'd stick with being glad that she was okay. . .this time.

Slowing down even more, Louie pulled into town just as lightening illuminated the sky and was immediately followed by thunder, which was obviously accompanied by the pelting rain and screaming wind. Seeing the bakery building coming into view Louie felt relieved that he could make out a shape sitting below the outter edge of the roof, luckily it looked just big enough to keep Mary out of the rain, for the most part anyway. Wheeling the Ranger in position, jockeying the gear shift into neutral and pulling on the emergency break, Louie quickly popped the drivers door open and was almost instantly soaked by the rain as he ran to LeeLee's side "Louie to the rescue!" He declared, hair already drenched and clinging desperatly to his face, soaked clothes doing much the same except to his body. "Let me help you." He insisted helping his good friend up onto her feet and over to the passenger side of the truck, where Lewis struggled to get the door open due to the force of the wind working against him. Although, after a few moments of struggling with the stupid thing, it finally flung open and Lewis helped his friend inside the small truck. Giving her a friendly sort of thumbs up, Louie closed the door behind her and then ran over to the drivers side of the Ford and quickly climbed in. Slamming it behind him Lewis sat there for a moment as the truck rocked back and forth from the wind, the engine still running and the lights shining into the windows of the bakery. "Uh. . .hi." Louie said comically to his friend, although it came out of his mouth sounding a little more awkward than he intended "Lovely weather we're having isn't it?" He teased, motioning with his hand towards the sky, as the rain pelted down on the forest green truck.

Buckling his seat belt and looking behind him as best as he could, Lewis proceeded to release the parking break and ram the gear shift into reverse and then backed out of the parking spot, before driving off towards LeeLee's house. Taking a moment to squint into the storm as lightening flashed across the sky, Lewis waited for the thunder to pass before speaking "So, mind if I ask why you were out here. . .in this storm. . .any particular reason you had in mind?" He asked curiously, keeping his eyes on the road, squinting them as if to get a better look.

ooc; sorry for the god moddage and shortness ):

But I know what you are, what you are, baby

Noah sat down, feeling rather tired. He could only take so much walking through a close to deserted town. He did feel kind of out of place. Sure, he didn't look like he was from the city. Only wearing a plain white shirt and jeans. He looked average. But, inside.. he could see how different he was. After all, he didn't see any of them hiding around corners sneaking booze. Noah sighed, and began his walk to his car. Utter loneliness taking over him. It seemed as if his phone had lost signal. He hated being alone. Maybe that's why he always had a women's companion.. even into the late nights. He had been surely walking around town for an hour or so. Searching for something interesting to do. He just wondered. He tried at a few girls.. but it was as if he had on his forehead, in large neon writing, womanizer. None of the girls would buy it! He went for the sensitive guy, to the down to earth guy, to the jock. None of them would give in. He also did more subtle moves like winking.. but it wasn't working. Noah didn't know how much longer he could take it. He started to regret cutting it with Carmen. Now.. he couldn't help it. It seemed longer then it should have. Something caught his eye as he continued his walk towards his car. An ice cream parlory. He went in and ordered his favorite.. strawberry. He was happier. Well, happier then he was. Sure, he was hard to please. But, icecream was one of his medicines. It would cure his frowns. Only icecream.. and girls could do that. He found his car.. blending in with the other hillbilly trucks. All banged up. He got in a turned his keys in the ignition.

He backed out and away down through the town and out back onto the more lonely streets.. looking almost deserted. Noah was so used to the city, with cars and.. sidewalk even people waving down taxes. Every interesection dozens of people waiting to cross, these long country roads... scared him.As he sped down the empty streets... he noticed dark gray clouds beginning to roll in. Noah took of his sunglasses, and put them on his collar. Beginning to feel anxious. Only then, he looked at his gas. Low. Dangerously low. He growled under his breath.. and prayed today would be at least an okay one.. and he wouldn't be stuck on the side of the road flagging down people. Especially since there were few cars that passed by. It wasn't a good feeling. Just then.. it began to choke and sputter. Then.. it died just in time for him to pull over to the side. "God dammit! Stupid piece of s**t!" He yelled and hit the steering wheel. Noah tried to rev it again.. but it only shook and sputtered smoke. He got out with his icecream in hand.. looking rather random. He kicked the rusted car, like a child throwing a tantrum, and turned leaning on it and running his fingers through his hair. He guessed he was to be the damsel in distress today.

Alex only waited a moment before following Demetri upstairs. At the current moment she was semi-comfortable and she didn't want to become uncomfortable by standing by herself, soaking wet, where his grandparents could easily see her. The would be nerve wrecking and probably make her regret stopping here. So after leaving her boots by the door, she followed him up the stairs and nodded when he said he'd get her a bag for her clothes. "Thanks." She said with a appreciative smile as she grabbed the clothes and bag from him and stepped into the bathroom.

As she changed into the clothes she laughed at, even if they fit her decently, that they were still big. She was a stick and these clothes proved that, but she didn't mind. She was no longer in soaked clothing, and the shorts and t-shirt were comfortable no matter if they were baggy or not. Placing her clothes, well her shirt and shorts, in the plastic bag, Alex exited that bathroom. "Thank you, again." She said with a smile. A person could tell that she was amused with how the clothing fit, but she was happy she was in dry clothing. "I'm glad I picked this house, out of the rest of them on the street." She said with a laugh, but her words were genuine. Alex was happy she had picked his house, because she knew him and could be comfortable then as well.

Scarlette opened the door, looking absolutely gorgeous, just as she had earlier, but now, she was radiant, and the smile on her features set him grinning like a mad man. Probably seeing the rain that was raging behind him, she invited him in quickly, and he knew she caught sight of the rose, but she said nothing of the like about it. Instead, he just saw that smile of hers brighten, and he couldn't help but find that very attractive; eager, but not overly eager and assuming. He'd always disliked it greatly whenever it came to girl's automatically assuming that he lived to please them, and that the flowers and chocolates were for her, and her alone. One of his former girlfriends had once assumed a bouquet of flowers he'd bought for his mother were for her, and not wanting to upset her, he'd given them to her, and gone back to the florist for his mother.

Scarlette explained that the weather had forced them inside, and he couldn't help but find it cute. "The sunroom sounds perfect." he assured her in his low, drawing voice that would no doubt remind her of their earlier date when they'd talked about everything and anything. She seemed happy enough that he was here, so he assumed that whatever impression he'd left upon her earlier had been good. He knew the impression she left upon him had been great; never had one of his first dates gone so... well. Even when it came to LeeLee. Speaking as a participater, the date had been a flop, and any spectator of their first date would have agreed. But it had worked for them then, and he was somewhat hoping that this would work for Scarlette and himself now.

She led him into the sunroom, and the way it was decorated looked almost like a five star restaurant. The meal set on the table looked deliscious and well prepared. As she headed toward her seat, Andrew followed. "Allow me," he asked of her as he pulled out her chair for her, flashing her a dashing debonaire smile. And as she sat down, he held the rose in front of her, the long stem looking elegant without the thorns. "A rose for a girl whose beauty surpasses even the most beautiful of flowers." He knew it would have sounded cheesy, and like a pick-up-line coming from anyone else, but it was the honest truth from him, for there was no other flower that would have suited Scarlette than the most beautiful and unique, like this rose. It may have been a set-up date, but he thought that maybe they could make it their own as it went along, and that meant acting like his southern gentleman, modern day Romeo self.
