"N-No mimi!" Tony stressed as he held his phone to his ear while driving along the rural, two lane highway at an almost alarming pace, attempting to get inside or to shelter before this monster looking storm struck, all to the tune of Waking up in Vegas by Katy Perry. The sky had gone from clear to a dark blue almost black in a matter of moments, the clouds were just monstrously tall and wide, had that anville sort of look to them if Tony wasn't mistaken. Hunched over in his seat Tony managed to watch the storm build and build and the sky just get nastier and nastier as he sped towards town. "Mimi, you're not listening." Tony urged looking from the sky back down at the road as another car sped past him in the other direction "Not Jessica Scott, she lives in New York! I'm talking about Jessica McGuire!" He said a little annoyed at their ignorance especially when it came to the grand daughter mimi had never had. "Yes I need to know where she lives, I've got something to return to her." Tony said as the clouds were illuminated with bright lightening, but it never touched the ground, just built inside the heart of the clouds, Tony cringed at this, It's like a death cloud. Tony thought listening to his mimi now "Yes, I met her last night at the BBQ." Tony lied "Yes she's very nice. . .Mimi! No. It's not a good idea at this point, just trust me now just tell me where she lives so I can give her back the phone." Tony said as he flew past the 'Folly Fields City Limit' sign. Tony's grandmother was finally getting to telling him how to get to Jessica's house. . .too bad he had no idea what half the 'land marks' she mentioned actually were, or where they were none the less. "Mimi, do you know street names? I'm sorry but I don't know where Great Uncle Gary lived after he divorced his first wife, all I remember about him is when I went to his fourth wedding when he married Peggy." WHO IS YOUNGER THAN MY MOTHER!! Tony thought discusted at the thought of his Uncle Gary who was in his late 60s marrying a woman in her mid 30s.

"Alright I just turned left on 4th street." Tony said just before his mimi redirected the subject to the cutest little thing Jenny bought for her and cousin Jason's new house "That's nice mimi but I'm not at Jessica's house yet." Tony said on the impatient side. After all he'd spent the past several hours shopping with Vanessa and trying not to piss Carmen off more than she already was. . .safe to say that it was fun for about the first hout but past that Tony was shopped out. . .not to mention it wasn't exactly a short drive to the nearest mall. However, at the mention that he wasn't at Jessica's house yet his grandmother got back on track. . .if only for a moment before she deviated once again, talking about how he should 'get to know Jessica, she's a sweet girl' "Yes mimi I know." Tony said turning right this time and began looking for the house his mimi had specified. The sky was pitch black now and lightening was flashing compulsively and thunder was clapping loudly ever few seconds "Holy s**t!" Tony said as a clap of thunder exploded through the air "What did you say!?!?!?" His grandmother demanded "I-uh-sorry." Tony apologized sheepisly before his grandmother proceeded to ask if that was thunder she heard "Yes." Tony responded annoyed, seeing the 6th house on the right coming up. "The bottom's about to fall out." Tony said tempted to face palm himself for saying a term his father used to describe awful weather. "Ya, I'll try, thanks mimi." Tony said "I just pulled up to the house so I'll talk to you later." Tony said just as he heard Jess' phone vibrate for the umpteenth time today, this chick must be some kind of popular, Tony thought feeling horribly curious to see who was texting her. . .he hadn't looked through any of them but was even more tempted now, then again it wasn't really his business.

Hoping that this was Jessica's house. Tony pulled the midnight blue Chevy Silverado into the driveway and brought it to an abrupt stop. "Alright, see you later tonight, bye." Tony said then hung up his phone and pocketed it before turning the truck off and falling into an eary dead silence, which was quickly interupted by a bright lightening strike and more thunder rolling more subtle than the last episode. Picking up Jessica's phone Tony decided that it wasn't a horrid idea to read the latest text message, after all not like it could be some huge secret right. Picking up the phone Tony flipped it open and read the new text message from a kid named Louie or something like that. Raising a curious eyebrow to this Tony shrugged, closed the phone and pulled the keys out of the ignition and then climbed out of the truck. Surprisingly enough it was warm and humid for stormy weather such as this. . .if this had been New York it would have been freezing balls. Sighing and closing the truck door behind him Tony walked up to the front door at a hurried pace, not exactly wanting to get caught out here when the bottom did in fact 'fall out' but en route to the front door he felt a couple rain drops and only knew what was to come next. . .a torential downpour mixed with more whipping wind, more lightening and more thunder. Wasting no time Tony rapped firmly on the door, praying that this was Jessica's house and that someone would answer. . .quickly.

~Jess McGuire
User Image"And I don't know why, but with you I dance,"

Jess was typing on her computer, wrapped in only a towel after a very stressful day. First, there had been the whole thing with Tony, which had ended in a bad way, and far too soon for her liking. She would have loved to have spent more time with him, but it had been inevitable that they should be interrupted; it was the story of her life. She couldn't just be left with the cute guy who seemed to like her; she had to be pulled away by something. Just like with her and Dex. And then, on top of her sudden departure from Tony, she'd also lost her phone somewhere along the way, garunteeing a pile-up of messages. She knew she at least had one from Mary. Probably one from Dex and Andrew; maybe even one from Alex or Louie. Maybe one from her dad. Though, she really hoped she hadn't missed that one; she missed her dad.

She put her computer onto her bed, and removed the towel, slipping into her comfortable polka dot pajamas, and wrapping her hair into a loose twist in hopes of keeping her mane somewhat tame. She had just picked her computer up and set it on her lap again, when the door bell rang. She rolled her eyes; who would be at her door with a storm on the rise? Oh, wait, the Lars' roof was leaky. Maybe they came to get buckets, or even sleep; her house was certainly big enough to cough up two rooms, and they even had some spare clothes for them since her dad was a pack-rat and kept everything from their childhood, and all her mom's old clothes. Surely she'd be shanghied into getting the buckets if they needed those, or preparing their temporary sleeping quarters, so she wasn't going to get up just yet; Vince or Matt could get the door. But it rang again, and, exasperated, she yelled, "Matt, get the freakin' door!" She returned to her typing, and under her breath, she muttered, "Lazy jackasses."

She heard and exagerated groan from the room next to hers; oh, he was still upstairs. Oh, well, it wouldn't hurt him to get his lazy a** up and go down stairs to fix himself something to eat after whoever was at the doors had gotten whatever they'd come knocking for. Despite being shy, Jess was surprisingly foul mouthed. Andy had pretended to psychoanalyze her once, and said it all had something to do with... her. But her thoughts were drawn away fromt that by her brother's voice. "Yes, your highness. Is there anything else the queen of her domain requires?" he asked, like the smartass he is.

Well, he's asking for it, she thought to herself as she heard him slog himself down the stairs. She typed some more, and said, "Yeah, make me a sandwich." And she wasn't kidding. She heard her brother's scoff all the way down stairs, and then the sound of the front door opening. There was a slight pause, and a loud crack of thunder that made Jess jump about five feet in the air, and fall to the floor, though her computer had pulled a houdini and managed to stay on the bed. She hit the hardwood with a loud thump, and groaned as she made contact; her floor was hard, and unforgiving; something she'd learned after years of experience. She rolled over onto her back, and blew the bangs out of her face. "Now there's something I don't want to do again."

She was still on the floor, so in god clarity, she heard her brother yell, "Jessy, it's for you." Jessy? The last time he had called her that was when Dex had first asked her out, granted, he hadn't been around much since then with college and all, but she also recognized that grating tone that both of her brothers seemed to have when he came to her and teenage boys. But she didn't dare question his through the floor and make it seem like she had, in no way, been expecting anyone, and get the poor guy on the porch thrown out into a storm; quite literally. Instead, she rolled over and got up, still limping.

She attempted to run to the stairs, but it came out as more of a sad, fast walk-gallopy thing. Foot injuries were third on the list of horrible, after head and spinal because both of those sucked too. She managed to make it to the stairs fairly quickly, and thanks to Tony's handy-work, with as little pain as possible, but she had to slow down going the stairs, and grab the railing so hard that her kuckles turned white from the force. She limped her way down the stairs, almost falling twice, but managing to save herself both times. She then limped around the divider that led from her living room, where the stairs came to an end, and to the front hall where her front door was. And standing there, was Tony. It was almost too much for her to register this and pretend she wasn't totally shocked at once, but she could manage. "Oh, hey Tony. What are you doing here?" she asked in a friendly fashion, acting like they were the best of friends, which, after all that had happened today, she thought they may be by the end of summer.

Dexter looked at Alex like she was crazy, they both knew that there was a huge storm coming, and a hug storm often meant thunder and lightning. Thunder and lightning. Alex was scared senseless of thunder and lightning, and she wanted to walk home when the storm could start any minute? It was already starting to sprinkle, and soon enough it would be a downpour. Alex was tiny she wouldn't make it home, she'd get blown away. Dexter honestly didn't understand why his best friend was insisting to walk home. Sure she didn't live that far from his house, but still in a storm she lived far enough away to be considered stupid if she walked home. he wouldn't argue much longer though, because the storm wasn't going to hold off much longer. It was a good thing Andy had already left for where ever he was headed, that way Dex had no reason to be worried. But he had plenty of reason to worry about the crazy girl in front of him.

"I'm going Dex, I'll be fine." Alex said as she pushed open the front door. She automatically felt like it was a bad day to wear a mostly white tank top, and her precious boots, but she didn't have much time to worry about her decision. Her main focus right now had to be getting home and fast, she knew the storm was coming and if she got caught she'd be screwed, she hated thunder and lightning and the downpour would make it almost impossible to see. Running was the only was to hopefully avoid that, and that' what she was going on, plus she hated driving in the rain so there was no chance in hell she was going to make Dex drive her home. "Fine, go. Just don't die." Dexter added in sarcastically and Alex just rolled her eyes. "I'll try to do just that, Dad." She responded just as sarcastically, smirking while she spoke. "But I'll let you know if I get home, or not. Okay promise." She said as she waved goodbye and stepped out of the house, feeling some droplets of rain hit her arms, she would have to run fast to get home soon. 'God I wish I wore my tennis shoes.' She thought to herself as she walked away from the door and started to jog to head home. The brunette was hoping to God that she would make it home in time before the storm actually hit, she'd probably wouldn't be able to make it if it hit before she got home. She would be so frightened that she wouldn't be able to move, thunder and lightning were not good to her.

As Alex heard the first crack of thunder she flinched, this was not good. Her jog immediately slowed down because her fear started to surround her. She was really wishing that she could get home faster, and that her fear magically disappeared but that wasn't going to happen. The one thing Alex had to do though was keep moving, even as the rain got harder and the flash of lightning and crack of thunder became anxious to come again. "You can't stop, you have to get home, you can't stop..." She kept mumbling to herself in hope that it would help her raise her spirits and move faster. It had to work, it just had to, Alex wouldn't except it if it didn't. So she kept moving, slower than before with her arms wrapped around her torso to protect herself from her fear.

Lewis had done little with his day of summer except text his friends, although he did run by the day care center to help out a little. Louie loved kids most of the time, although he had to admit. . .there were some real bratty kids out there but most of the ones at the day care today were pretty good, of course there was the 'he hit me! She took my toy' dispute to attend to, but Louie had handled it well, or so he thought, but it was all part of working at the day care center, and honestly Lewis wouldn't have it any other way. Although at the moment, Louie was up in his room on his laptop, which was common for him. Being the dorky kind of kid he was Lewis had been playing The Sims 2 for about half an hour now while managing to watch the storm brew furiously. At the moment Lewis sat in his room completely silent except for the sound of Imma Be by the Black Eyed Peas pulsing through his iHome and filling his room with the sound of that 'trendy' music everyone called it. When it came to just about everything Lewis was your classic dorky white boy. . .he listened to 'negro' music as his father called it, wore preppy and quirky clothes at times, and most often had an air about him that would cause him to say really dorky and awkward things when in a group of friends, although that was why they had appropriately named him the 'Loveable Dork'. As Lewis sat at the desk in his room, governing computer peoples' lives, his room was suddenly illuminated by bright lighteninig, and almost instantaneously a huge clap of thunder erupted throughout his house, rattling the windows and then the lights and everything else went dead. "CRAP!!" Louie complained loudly, as his computer screen went black, the music stopped, the fan stopped turning and all the lights went out. "I was just about finished with that house too." Louie complained furiously rising out of his little office chair and storming across the room in complete darkness.

You see this crazy storm brewing? Pretty crazy
Huh? Anyway what are you up to?????

Knowing that there was a short window of time before he lost all service due to the power outage, Louie quickly sent the text message wondering why Jess hadn't replied to him all day, but he figured that she'd been too busy trying to get over Dex or just trying to read. Poor Dex, although Louie had noticed that Jessica wasn't exactly 'in' to Dex that much anymore, so he kind of saw it coming but that didn't make it any less depressing. Although the thought of the latest break up brought about memories of his relationship with Alex, Lewis wasn't exactly over the whole thing and he'd told Mary the night before when she asked if he still loved her, which was kind of obvious. Truth be told Lewis kind of missed being friends with Alex but at the same time her mere presence seemed to make him feel insufficient and angry to say the least. Allowing a defeated sort of sigh to escape his lips, Louie pocketed his phone before walking out of his bedroom and into the darkness of his house. Lewis and his family didn't live directly in Folly Fields, they lived out in the 'country' as most called it, which really meant he lived about 10 miles outside of the heart of Folly Fields. . .if the town was actually big enough to have a 'heart'. "MOM. . .DAD. . .CECILIA!!!" Louie called loudly as if to make sure everyone was okay. "YA!!" A cry of unison came from different parts of the house, but little Cecilia didn't really say much of anything, but Louie could hear her crying and then the tell tale signs of his mother comforting his baby sister. "What is it son?" Lewis' father called from the living room, but Louie ignored it figuring that someone should light some candles or something, but if he even laid a finger on one of his mothers precious candles, it would be off with his head, so Louie decided against it.

Pulling out his phone once again to see if he had a response, Louie frowned at the sight of the wallpaper instead of the '1 new message' screen. "Well you're cute guys." Louie said to himself in a comical sort of manner, must be busy. He thought realizing how pathetic his life was just as more lightening flashed and thunder rocketed across the sky. "Reckon we'll have a twister?" Lewis heard his father tease "Shut up Mark, you're going to scare Cecilia even more. Besides not the right kind of atmosphere anyway." Lewis' mother scolded his step father. All Lewis managed to do was roll his eyes and grope his way through the house as he moved in the direction of his father's voice. . .the living room would now become the room of congregation as it always was during a power outage. "Wonder how long the power is going to be out?" Mark mused, but Louie just rolled his eyes comically as he sat cautiously in the couch perpendicular to Mark's lazy boy. The house was now silent except for Cecilia's quieting tears and the sounds of his mother calming her down.

ooc; sorry, that one is kinda crappy.

While standing outside the front door of Jessica's house Tony felt a few more raindrops pelt his head and shoulder and he knew that if he didn't get inside in about half a minute he'd be soaked in a matter of seconds. What is it about running into this girl that means I'll always end up wet! Tony thought as he continued waiting just hoping that the storm would hold off for another minute but by the way the lightening and thunder and wind were blowing and rumbling around Tony figured that he wasn't going to be quite so lucky when it came to avoiding the wrath of the storm. However, he heard rustling inside the house, some annoyed complaining and then the sound of footsteps coming closer and closer. "Oh thank God." Tony thought feeling a few more rain drops pelting him with enough force for it to be a little shocking, but he'd be spared the storm and getting soaked yet again today. . .not to mention he'd feel like a total idiot standing out there as the rain was pouring down on him if Jess came to answer the door and then he would just hand her her phone wordlessly. . .although Tony figured he'd say something, maybe even step inside but he'd use his manners today, after all this wasn't exactly the best time to look rude, especially since the word was out that the New York brats were rude as it was. . .Tony waited anxiously watching as the doorhandle turned and it was pulled open however it wasn't Jess standing there, which not only caused Tony's heart to sink but then he was afraid that he had the wrong house, that's emberassing. Tony thought standing there for a moment, opening his mouth to ask if this is where Jessica McGuire.

However, when her brother, as Tony had assumed, examined him for a moment then sniggered and called a very loud 'Jessy' in a manner that was meant to be demeaning. . .that whole middle school kind of thing that was meant to humiliate for having feelins for someone of the opposite sex kind of thing. Tony stood there awkwardly for a moment wondering if he was going to get some kind of 'if you lay one finger on my sister' kind of speech, but he was spared this time and left standing outside with the now falling rain and thunder as he waited for Jessica to come and retrieve her phone. It didn't take long for Jess to actually make her appearance but Tony couldn't help but find it a little comedic to come over and see Jess in not only her fuzzy polka dot pajamas, but her hair in a messy bun, as if she'd just rolled out of bed but instead she was probably relaxing, after all he couldn't imagine her going to bed at 7:15. While watching Jess approach he noticed that she was limping, taking extra care of the foot he had doctored, looking at the injury still wrapped up all nice made him feel a weird sense of pride, as if it was special or something, then again that was kind of a weird thought on Tony's part. "Uh Hi." Tony said awkwardly after she asked what he was going here. "I'm here because I figured you wanted your phone back." Tony said reaching in his pocket and pulling out the phone she'd left at the lake earlier "You left it at the lake this morning. You've got a few messages. . .I only read one and it was from some Louie kid or something like that." Tony said holding the phone out for her to retrieve.

At the moment Tony couldn't help but feel as if this were some kind of Cinderella thing, he was searching for the owner of this phone, only thing was that he actually knew who it belonged to, weird how life could sometimes be related back to a Disney fairytale. However, at the moment Tony was kind of curious as to how her foot was doing "So how's your foot?" He asked curiously just as a clap of thunder erupted not too far away, causing Tony and then blush emberassed at the whole thing as the rain began to fall heavier and heavier. He didn't exactly want to be rude and invite himself but he didn't exactly want to leave yet either, but he figured that he should probably let Jess have some time with her family where she could relax "Well if that's everything I guess I'll be going. . ."

ooc; this one isn't much better either

Scarlett had not left her phone on after the one text she’d sent to Tony, so she hadn’t received the second one where he’d mentioned picking her up around 7:00 PM tomorrow night. The rest of the afternoon had been spent finishing her Ice Cream with Andrew and then finally going home. Her grandparents had finally allowed Scarlett to sleep, and suddenly after a two hour nap she was feeling a lot more rejuvenated. Though she hadn’t had much time to get ready for the night, Scarlett really felt like she needed that nap. It was great, she was glad she had gotten it in, and even though she had told Andrew it would take her two hours to get ready, she had definitely been glad for that nap.

Quickly waking up and getting out of her bed, Scarlett pulled the covers over her head and began brushing out her hair. Pulling it up into an elegant messy bun, Scarlett pulled on her nicest pair of black jeans and a cute white tank top with a gray cardigan. Going light on the makeup, as to not make herself look like she was trying to hard, Scarlett checked herself out in the mirror. With a sigh and a nod, she applied her favourite pink gloss and puckered her lips, hoping that she hadn’t gone overboard. She wanted to feel more like a friend having dinner and less like an overbearing slut from New York, which, of course she was considered back home. Putting in her diamond studs, Scarlett headed downstairs into the Kitchen, spotting her Grandmother and Grandfather, and smelling the pot roast and potatoes on the stove. It smelled delicious, but now her stomach was churning. Even though she knew Andrew now, she was still really nervous. She was now officially going on a date with him. This was going to be scary.

Heading into the Kitchen, she pulled out a chair and looked out the window, then at the digital clock. 7:00 PM. Andrew was due to arrive any minute now and she was all jitters. With a quick inhale and exhale, she looked towards the door and kept her eyes glued to it. Smiling at her grandparents, she noticed them smile back. “Go get him, tiger!” she could hear her grandfather say. Rolling her eyes, she couldn’t help but smile a little as she kept her eyes glued towards the door. If Andrew was anything tonight like he had been this afternoon, then Scarlett had every reason to worry. He was sweet, he was charming and he knew how to make the tough, hard as a rock New Yorker girl blush. If Andrew came in possessing all the qualities he had this afternoon, Scarlett knew one thing and one thing only. She would end up falling for a South Carolina boy faster than you could say “Labour Day”. And it was definitely not going to be pretty.

User Image"And I don't know why, but with you I dance,"

She was so elated to see Tony there, standing at the door, she almost forgot that there was a storm brewing out there; or, apparently, not just brewing anymore. More like raging. And as another clap of thunder rolled, she had two urges; one, to pull Tony inside, and two, to send a text to Alex and make sure she was okay. But she didn't have her phone, she recalled, and Tony awkwardly greeted her. She felt like giggling at the stupidity of this all because despite the fact that Matt was actually grinning a bit at Tony - alright, not girnning; more like smirking - he had still positioned himself so that he was halfway in front of her, putting on that overly protective brother act that he and Vince both seemed to love so very much. It had never really annoyed her much, till now.

And then Tony explained why he was here... and held out her slim, blue cell phone. She almost tackle hugged him, but Matt would have made that hard - and painful, considering she would crash into his shoulder if she tried. He went on to ask about her foot, but before she'd really had much of a chance to answer or get over the fact of that he had her phone, another boom of thunder rumbled, and Tony hinted that he would be leaving, but his tone suggested that he didn't really want to, he just didn't see a reason to stay. So, as he started to turn away slightly, she reached out, but instead of wrapping her long pale fingers around the phone, she actually gasped his wrist lightly. "You aren't going anywhere," she said, sounding a lot bolder and final than she felt, "Not right now, and not in this weather." She gently pulled on his wrist, trying to get him to come inside. "I'll call your Mimi and let her know your here." And really, she was just looking for a reason to get out of the room, because the way she'd aserted herself was pretty forceful for her, and a little embarrassing.

Matt closed the door behind him, and she led him a tiny bit further into the front hall, and stopped. She looked at him with a smile, and then awkwardly turning and limping into the kitchen where the cordless house phone resided - the only phone number that Mimi Myers knew by heart in the whole town - to call and let his grandmother know that he would be here for a while. This, of course, left him alone with Matt, who was still looking at him with a condescending smirk; something Jess hadn't noticed as she hobbled down the hall way. "And thanks for helping me with my foot; would have been a lot worse without you." she called back in his general direction as she disappeared behind a wall.

Matt was still looking at Tony, sizing him up. Matt was obviously bigger in a muscled way, and beat him in height by a good two inches, but that was because of his ranching background. Living on a ranch as opposed to a city apartment, whether your active or not, will usually give you the advantage. But Matt didn't look like he want to fight Tony. In fact, after a moment of examination, he actually shook his head and gave a light chuckle. "You're probably wondering why I'm not giving you the big brother speech," Matt started, crossing his arms across his chest and watching the doorway his little sister had just disappeared through. "But Jess can take care of herself. I would tell you I'll kick your a** if you ever hurt her, but..." he trailed off, and clapped one hand on Tony's shoulder in a genuine friendly fashion. "She'll do it for me." He laughed again and set off down the hall, leaving Tony completely alone.

Meanwhile, Jess had just hung up with Tony's grandmother, and she'd told her just to keep him there for the night, and if her brother's gave her any grief about having a boy over, just to remind them of when they were younger and used to have some of their girl friends over at night. Even Jess was a little apprehensive about having him the whole night, though just a few minutes ago, she'd been completely willing to let the Lar's stay, and they had three boys, two of which were around her age. Maybe it was the fact that she found Tony kind of attractive, or maybe it was because she hadn't grown up with him like she had with everyone else in town. Point was, she had had to brace herself on the counter for a second, and then, holding her head up high and plastering a smile on, which instantly became genuine when she spotted Tony, she limped back to the front room. "Your grandmother said it was fine, and just to keep you here for the night. We'll get you something of Vince's to wear." she said, sizing him up and deciding that going with the smaller of her brother's would probably be better. "And thanks for bringing back my phone."

It was now 7:00 pm, and the sky seemed to be taking in the mood she was feeling. She had dropped off Carmen at six o' clock at her home with grandmother. Things were a bit awkward between her and Tony. So, they shopped for hours and hours. It was BORING! All this hillbilly willy nilly. It was gross, so she was driving home to her grandmother. The thunder came rolling in, and the rain started to pour. Running inside the old home the smell of fresh baked cookies, and home made soup filled her nose. Amazing smell. "Hey, Nana." Her grandmother kissed her hair, she sat down on the table. The thunder clapped. Vanessa flinched. Thinking about it, she felt kind of making her friend go home, and tony going home. Making a weird face she opened her phone while sipping her soup.

                            To: Toneeh
                            From: Baby V
Hey, Tony. Sir, you said you'll come over for movies! But, I see that this weather isn't so great to come over. Actually, it would be to watch some scary movies, or maybe action. Maybe, If you're still up for it, champ I can come pick you up where ever you are (:

Fidgeting around with her phone, she felt a text message from Demitri. Looking at the text she felt her fingers retreat from texting. It was bad enough that she was texting him behind her Carmen's back.
Opening her phone once again she text him back.

                            To: Party Boy
                            From: Baby V
Yeah, Bi-polar. So sad my life ) : And, Yeah. You're welcome. I just -- you know don't want you to feel left out. We're all friends, right? I think tony bailed out on me. Well, maybe about the Carmen thing, I might have her over or something. But, I dropped her home hours ago. And--- Haha. Riding, you. hahahhahaha. Anyways, sir text me back!

Finally, putting the phone down Vanessa finished texting him, and leaned back into her chair. Putting away her dishes into the sink and washed them, Vanessa walked back to her room and changed her clothes. The thunder clapped again causing her to flinch, almost off her bed. "God, I hate this weather." And she truly did. It was murky and scary. But, the only thing that seemed amazing was the part when you kissed somebody in the rain. Yeah, that was it. Most romantic thing to do. Day dreaming about one special kiss, she felt cold. Grumbling to herself, she changed clothes. Wondering what Carmen was doing she texted her.

                            To: Other Half
                            From : Your other half.
Hey, bebeh gurrl. (: The weather sucks, huh? I'm sorry I dropped you off. Text me back?

Placing the phone down she laid back on her bed with her hair down. "Hey baby. Thanks for you hard work, here's a cup of tea. Me and Papa are in the other room if you need anything. Night baby." Her grandmother told her, and she kissed Vanessa on the forehead. Nodding her head, she sat up and turned on some music. "Everybody's in Love : JLS" Good song, good song. She hummed to the song, and awaited a reply from either of them.

Carmen happily returned Vanessa's hug and followed her to the car. "Lake it is!" She smiled, just as her phone vibrated, no doubt with a reply from Tony. Why were they doing this? She hated fighting with Tony, almost as much as she hated fighting with Vanessa. But what was worse with her and Tony's fight this time, either way someone would lose. Either her, Tony, or even Scarlett. Although she really didn't care if Scarlett lost. Sighing, Carmen pulled out her phone, but didn't read the message just yet. She was actually kinda scared to read it. What if Tony was really mad at her now? With her finger hovering over the button that would open the message, she somewhat listened to Vanessa's analogy about her and shopping being like a fat kid with cake. Finally, Carmen took a deep breath and pressed the button. It took her a few minutes to absorb the message, after all Tony was really pissed at her. He was coming right out and flipping out on her, but he was pretty close and he definitely wasn't his normal, sweet, funny self. It took everything Carmen had, not to reply with a nasty message. That wouldn't help the situation and besides, no matter how much she hated to admit it, Tony was right. She pressed reply, trying not to let her short temper take over while she typed a message. Without hesitating, Carmen sent the message and shoved her phone back into her pocket.
                        To:: Tony
                        From:: Carmen
                        I'm sorry, okay?
I'm sorry I dragged all of you into this
and I'm sorry that everything's screwed up.
I don't know what else to tell you.
I just know I hate fighting with you
and I hate when you're mad at me.

Just as her phone was back in her pocket, Vanessa came to a short stop, causing Carmen to put her hands on the dashboard to brace herself. Hearing Vanessa apologize and explain that she saw Tony, Carmen bit her lip. She didn't want to see Tony right now, she didn't know if he was still mad at her. Unfortunately, it was obvious that Tony had seen them, so they couldn't turn around now. Besides, if she asked Vanessa to turn around then Vanessa would want to know why. Then she'd have to explain everything, which was exactly what she was trying to avoid doing. "Uh, okay." She nodded, while Vanessa went to go get the bathing suits. Carmen closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to figure someway out of this, just as her phone vibrated. She silently prayed it was reply from Tony, him telling her he wasn't mad anymore, but when she pulled it out and checked, there was a message from Noah. She opened the message and quickly read it, before hitting reply. She composed the message and sent it, just as Vanessa got the bathing suits out. Carmen climbed out of the car and studied the bathing suits Vanessa was holding up. "I'll take the black one." She smiled, but her smile soon faltered when someone else joined them. Tony. She slowly turned around to look at him, he was being friendly, but she still wasn't sure if he was mad at her or not. She wasn't even sure if he'd gotten her text message yet. "Tony, uh, hey . . ." She muttered, awkwardly.
                        To:: Noah
                        From:: Carmen
                        Little bit of both ;D
                        jkjk
                        I just can't avoid you,
                        must I have a reason?

                        ❖Time Skip❖

Carmen turned off the water and stepped out of the shower, wrapping a towel around her as she did so. She made her way back into her room and over to her dresser. She picked out a pair of pajamas and quickly changed into them. She ran the towel over her damp hair, before tossing it into the laundry basket and grabbing her blow dryer. Even though she had a lot of hair, it didn't take long for her to blow dry it. Within about a half hour her hair was already dry and she was heating up her flat iron. Hearing her phone vibrate on the nightstand, she flopped back on her bed and grabbed it. She wasn't really sure who to expect this text from. Tony and Noah hadn't texted her back, so it was possible that it could be either of them. It was possible it could be Vanessa, even though they'd just hung out an hour ago. It was even possible that it could be Demetri. Last night she'd left the party and gone outside to get some fresh air and clear her head. Apparently, Demetri had followed her outside, with the intentions of wanting to talk and finally settle everything. Unfortunately, before they could even get anywhere with that conversation, his grandparents were pulling him away. Shaking herself from her daze, she looked at her phone's screen and smiled seeing a text from Vanessa. She read it and sent a reply before tossing her phone on her bed and and running to her flat iron, she'd almost forgotten about it. She clamped some hair between the irons and started straightening her wavy hair. She repeated this a few times and she was done in about fifteen minutes. Carmen shut off her flat iron, hoping Vanessa would reply soon. She was in need of some girl time. Just like they did all the time in the city, movies, junk food, talking, music, home spa, make overs, and of course more talking. Grabbing her iPod stereo remote from her night stand, she pressed play and Kissin' U by Miranda Cosgrove blasted through the speakers. She wasn't Miranda's biggest fan, but she loved the song.

Mary unfortunately was still at the park when the rain started to come down. Her family had headed back home after the game but she had decided to stay at the park. She was swinging back and forth when she felt the first rain drop hit her face. She frowned as she looked up at the blacking sky and she couldn’t believe that she hadn’t even notice the sky darkening. She sorta remembered her father saying something about a storm coming this way but she guessed that she just didn’t pay attention. She picked up her purse and swung it over her shoulder. She would have to walk home. Hopefully she could get there before she was too soaked. She would have rode the four-wheeler home if she wouldn’t have let her soft heart get to her when the boys asked if they could ride it home and she agreed. So she was going to have to settle with walking.

See that would have been a great plan but the rain unexpectantly picked up and she herself was caught up to running and jumping at the sound of the thunder. She has a very bad fear of thunder. She has had it since she can remember and she would usually hide in her room when it would rain this bad but that wasn’t an option today. Her house was still a good few miles away. She heard her phone ring with the alert tone that signaled Lewis was texting her. She knew this because it played ‘Love Me by Justin Bieber’. She ran to the nearest clearing or roof and pulled out her phone to read his message without getting her expensive phone wet. She shivered once as she read the message and started to reply. Mid way threw she reflexively ducked down when she heard the very loud boom that shook the ground. She whimpered as she quickly finished and hit send.

Message: Unfortunately I am caught in the soaking rain as I run from the loud thunder.
I know I know it won’t hurt me but I can’t help it.
I don’t think I can feel my toes now. Boo-hoo
Gotta keep running…..

She took a deep breath before running out from under the porch of the near by bakery and back into the pouring rain. So maybe this was a sign. No text from Andrew and then it raining like this, she should just give up all together with hopes of them becoming friends. She knew that he must hate her by now. She wasn’t the easiest person to get along with, even if you were her friend. She was kind of a pain in the butt at times. She took another breath and she picked her legs up higher and began to try and run faster. It was now the she wished that she had her track shorts. At least now she was already getting into shape for track. It did suck to start again after jumping half way in the air and then having to start run again after every boom but she would get there eventually, that or her lungs would give out.

Mid-turn, Tony felt someone wrapping their fingers around his wrist, and he wasn't exactly sure which of the three standing by the door it actually was, but he figured that it was Jessica because the fingers felt light and dainty and not like a couple of meat grinders, and he figured that neither of her brothers would actually stop him from leaving. I mean, they were baricading the door for God's sake! Tony felt awkward by their presence and was horribly tempted to open his mouth and say 'you do realize I'm just returning her phone, and that I'm not here to tie her up and take advantage of her, so you can back off now.' But he kept his mouth shut, but if they made some kind of uncalled for move that Tony didn't approve of, he wasn't going to just stand there and take whatever her brothers were going to throw at him, he'd stand his ground. . .but at the moment Tony percieved no danger, just mockary from Jess' brothers and annoyance. Stopping himself as Jessica redirected him and demanded that he wasn't going anywhere, he turned to face the three trying to cram themselves in the doorway just as he felt Jessica tugging on his wrist ever so slightly. A small smile spread across his face but as he went to move he eyed her brothers for a brief second "Excuse me fellas." Tony said in a cocky sort of manner, the air in his voice carrying over to the look on his face as well, as he moved past dumb and dummer. Closing the door behind him Tony nodded as Jess said that she'd call his mimi and tell him that he was here "Thanks." He called after Jessica watching as she hobbled out of the little entry room, and left him there to deal with her brothers.

Standing there awkwardly for a moment Tony noticed Matt 'sizing him up' oh that's the way it's gonna be? Tony thought folding his arms defensively across his chest and managed to look up at Matt with about the same expression he was recieving from the guy. Sure Matt was bigger than Tony in both height and size, but Tony knew just as well as anyone that when it came to fighting, that it wasn't how big or strong you were, sure that was a factor, but it all came down to how you used your strength and agility, throwing your weight around didn't get you everywhere after all. "May I help you?" Tony asked flatly, shifting his weight to his left side as he kept his arms folded over his chest. Just then he felt his phone vibrating in his pocket loudly, but disreguarded it for a moment, after all he was in the middle of a pissing contest and he wasn't about to break focus now. The brute speaks! Tony thought with mock anticipation as Matt addressed him and the whole 'big brother speech' once again he was tempted to make a wise a** comment but kept it to himself, after all he was probably going to be stuck here for at least a couple of hours, best not to start off on a wrong foot but Tony figured that ship had somewhat sailed since he was here sizing up Jessica's brother. "What about it?" Tony said in an almost blank tone of voice before Matt continued on, Tony showing no extreme emotion in his expression, even if he was shaking in his boots it was best not to show any kind of emotion when in a situation like this, any display of emotion was dangerous when you were standing off ones older brother. If I can survive this, I can certainly handle her father. Tony thought, it was a well known fact that the two most feared beings of teenage boys were older brothers and fathers. . .more specifically brothers and fathers of girls.

"Great." Tony said in mock satisfaction "I'll be sure to keep that in mind." As soon as Matt finished his little monologue about what would happen if he ever hurt Jessica. And I highly doubt that you'd just let her be the one to beat the s**t out of me, guarantee you'd be right there big boy. Tony thought sizing the guy up just as good as Matt. Standing their ground if only for a moment Tony watched as Matt turned and walked off, Tony only rolling his eyes and reaching in his pocket and pulling out his phone and reading the text message from Vanessa. Damn! He thought, not completely forgetting about the movie night they had planned, but now he was going to have to cancel. . .again, unfortunately. Sure he wanted to stay at Jessica's house, but at the same time it would be nice to chill out and watch movies, unless the power went out. Tony thought knowing that could possibly happen with the severity of this storm, after all he could hear the huge rain drops pelting the windows and roof of the house, lightening still flashing regularly. At the moment though Tony was contemplating whether he should tell Vanessa the complete truth, part of the truth, or a bold faced lie. . .but it seemed that he'd been a lot of lying lately, too much in fact. . .it was time to turn a 180, or at least start. Feeling kind of weird for still standing there Tony began typing a new message to Vanessa, feeling bad for disappointing yet again but there wasn't a whole lot he could really do about it. . .well actually there was but if Matt had been right, Jessica would beat him to a bloody pulp if he tried leaving with all this craziness.

To: Baby V
From: T-Pain
I know, I know. But the weather is pretty chitty isn't it? I'd love to pop by for a couple movies but I'm stuck here at a friend of the family's house, and the grandparents don't want me to try and drive in this storm. Besides I don't want you to put yourself in danger by coming to pick me up either. Really really really really really really really really sorry V )': but we gotta chill tomorrow. fer sure. But have fun with Carmen. . .I think she needs a girls only night anyway.

Feeling guilty about all of this, Tony reluctantly sent the text message. Oddly enough he was feeling a little weird about all of this, he'd hooked up with Scarlett the night before, now he was here at Jessica, a new friend who was also a female's, house, but he was talking to his ex girlfriend. Although talking to Vanessa made Tony miss all the fun they used to have together, and sure he didn't always enjoy shopping with Vanessa and would complain sometimes, he just loved being with her. All the times they'd just hang out at each other's houses, with their friends, go on dates together, attend parties together, school dances, even the rare nights they'd spend at one anothers houses, he missed the whole thing but somewhere he also knew that it had been best that they'd broken things off. Just as he was guiltily pocketing his phone Jess came limping back into the room. Looking up when she began speaking to him Tony nodded but then stopped himself for a moment. "Wait a minute." He said skeptically "My grandmother said I could stay the night. . ." Implying that the whole thing was extremely out of character for her, letting her grandson stay over at a girls house. . .surely his mimi had taken one too many Vertigo pills this morning. "Are you sure your parents. . .and brothers are going to be okay with this?" He asked masking his own shock well, although Tony himself was not only a little shocked but a little nervous himself, and it wasn't because her bigger and older brothers would be mere feet away from him if he did in fact make a wrong move. Tony wasn't exactly sure what made him nervous about this whole thing, maybe it was the unfamiliar setting or something, but there was a bit of anxiety building in his stomach at this.

Oh good. Tony thought sarcastically when she said that he could borrow some of her other brother's clothes, maybe he'll try to strangle me with them. Tony thought comically just as Jessica thanked him for bringing her phone by. Tony shrugged, pulling off that whole 'no biggy' kind of thing "I sensed that you'd want your phone back." He teased with a playful smile, now dropping his arms to the side. "Anyway." He started back up again "Should probably go see if your brothers clothes would actually fit me." Tony said, oh so eager to meet the one called Vince, especially with the performance he'd seen from Matt. . .how different could Vince actually be? Handing Jessica her phone once again Tony nibbled on his lower lip for half a second before speaking again "So who's that Louie kid?" He asked "Does he really call himself 'the dork? Or did someone else give him that title?" Tony asked with a smile, not really sure whether a kid would actually call themselves that or whether it was a name that Jess dubbed him.

She looked at him with a funny expression as he questioned her. Did he really think she would lie about him being able to spend the night. "Yeah, she did. I have... sleepovers with my guy friends all the time." she said, shrugging. Maybe it wasn't as commom as she had thought. She'd even had some with Dex while they were going out, but Matt had forced him to sleep on the top bunk in Vince's room so that Vince would know if he got up - Vince had mostly been concerned that he wouldn't be able to sleep on the top bunk. Though, for some unknown reason, they trusted Andrew completely, and even let him sleep in the same bed as her once. Maybe it was because Matt thought that he was gay, and Vince, while concerned about the same bed factor, knew she wouldn't do anything. Louie was allowed to sleep in the living room with her, but not if she wanted to sleep up in her room; then he was stuck in a guest room. "More than I have my girl friends over, actually." she said, realizing this was true as she thought about it.

She shrugged when he asked about her parents. And, oddly enough, about her brothers. She would have thought that Tony wouldn't have cared much about her brothers, given his physique. But then, she couldn't blame anyone for worrying about her brothers, the ranch hands. They were known for throwing down a pretty mean fight, but Tony didn't know the McGuire boy legend. He was just lucky they weren't as protective of her when she was nine; he would have been screwed. "Parent; my dad's out of town, and wouldn't have cared anyway. And just ignore Matt; he's a butt anyway." She brushed it off, and grabbed his hand again, leading him out of the main hall and to the living room; their very plush living room, complete with an extremely nice T.V. that hung on the far wall, and a black leather seating area that would be perfect for a movie night; Jess was kind of spoiled. "I'm sure Vince's clothes will fit you just fine." she said confidently, pretty sure they were the same size.

She started up the stairs, pulling him along behind her, but using the railing, and holding it in a vice tight grip, concentrating on making it up the stiars and not crushing Tony's hand at the same time. He said something about Louie, reminding her that he's read one of her texts. She knew she should feel violated and offended, but she honestly couldn't bring herself to care all that much. It wasn't like she had anything to hide when it came to Louie. "Actually, he gave that nickname to himself; well, if you want to get technical, I told him he was a dork, and he just started calling himself that." She shrugged with a giggle. "And he also claimed me as his. But that's okay, because I also belong to LeeLee and Andrew; Andy and Louie belong to me..." She looked back at him with a grin. "We've all got claims on one another, though it truly makes no sense; I don't expect you to get how we work right away."

They reached the top of the steps, and realizing there wasn't really much of a need to hold his hand, Jess dropped it, and gestured for him to follow her as she limped toward the first door on the left, and grabbed the handle, slamming it open. The guy in the room was sitting sideways in a recliner, a game controller in his hand, and didn't even flinch as the door flew open. "Vince, I'm invading and raiding you room; you mind?" she asked as she walked in nonchalantly, not even waiting for a response, and going straight for the dresser on one side of the room. She was a lot bolder when dealing with her family.

"Course not, Jessy-bell," he said in the same tone, sounding like this was a completely normal occurence. And it was. He hadn't even glanced up from his game, and it didn't seem that Jess's rather loud entrance had deterred him at all as the game stopped, displaying that Vince could now level up to a flame sword. He seemed to take this as a cue to pause. He set the controller down and looked right at Tony with a friendly grin, and then craned his neck backwards to look at his sister so that from his perspective, she was upside down. "Hey, Jessy-bell, whose the new guy?" he asked in a joking tone.

She threw a shirt onto the floor as she rummaged through one of the drawers. "That's Tony; one of the guys we'll be hosting for the summer. He's the Myer's grandson; he's spending the night, and needs to borrow some clothes. Tony, this is my brother, Vince." she had yet to look up from the drawer, and seemed about ready to dive into it to find what she was looking for. "Shirt or no shirt?" she asked, knowing Andrew, specifically, didn't wear a shirt to bed, and wasn't sure if Tony did or not. She turned around, holding up two pairs of pants, one being black, red and white plaid and the other being a solid darkblue color, a proud grin on her face. "Plaid, or solid?"

Vince chuckled at his sister's antics, shaking his head at her, and standing up, coming to his full height. He was almost exactly the same height as Tony, and more built than Matt was by far, but in a leaner way; his muscles veined up his arms, making him look like some sort of body builder. His hair was cropped short and was brown in color, but he possessed the same eyes as Jess; blue, deeper than the sea, and friendly. They were his mother's eyes; her mother's eyes. Matt was a replica of their father, and had gotten his eyes. "Hey, dude, welcome to Folly Fields," Vince said, holding out his hand, and giving Tony a sideways grin. He was a lot friendlier than Matt, and seemed genuinely okay with Tony's presence, and the fact that he was staying the night. "May I be the first to say I'm sorry; I'm sorry that my little looney-bin sister seems to like you." He laughed and Jess sent him a playful glare; it was obvious that they were fairly close. He looked back at Jess. "Try not to break this one." She just stuck her tongue out at him.

(OOMC: I'm so sorry for all the god-modding, but I wanted to get to a better spot)

Lewis sat there twiddling his thumbs and staring blankly into the tiny flames of the three candles sitting on the scuffed up coffee table that his mother had just lit. It was almost hypnotizing in a way but at the same time how much could you honestly do when the power was out. Sure you could play a boardgame but that was annoying because it was dark and then Cecilia would throw a fit if she wasn't winning. . .which was a killer at times but Louie really did love his little step-sister even when she did throw a tantrum, although in all honesty it was no different than working in the day care center, except there were usually multiple tantrums at once. Letting out a bored sigh, his lips making that pffffftttt sound as he did so Louie wished that he was in Flagstaff Arizona right. . .why? Well the power being out brought back a fun memmory from a family reunion when he was 14, just so happened that it had been held in Flagstaff Arizona. It had been raining much like this, and the power had gone out. . .well everyone became easily bored, except the older family members who insisted on playing euchre around a cluster of slow burning candles, as for the kids. . .boredom was driving them to act like a bunch of little rambunctious idiots, including Lewis. Well finally one of the adults had enough of their rash behavior and told them to play hide and seek. . .sure it sounded lame and being in the dark seemed to take the fun out of the whole thing, but turns out it made it even more fun for Lewis and all his fellow relatives who were around his age. But about the most excitement he was going to get here was putting things in Mike's open mouth when he finally fell asleep.

Yet another clap of thunder and flash of lightening erupted through the house, rattling the floor and windows as it did so, this once again sent Cecilia into a pouting fit, that was until Louie watched her cuddle into mom's lap. "Why don't we play a game or something?" She suggested but no one reacted to that one and silence fell among the four once again "Or we could watch a DVD on our portable DVD player." She suggested, Lewis had to give his mom credit, at least she was trying to come up with a cute way to make this little power outage fun, but Louie was a little too glum to actually try, he figured that by now he wouldn't recieve a text message due to the fact that his cell phone service probably went out by now. "If you want to do something." Mark started in an almost demeaning term, which caused Lewis to frown in discust at his step-father "Why don't you call the electric company and see how long this power outage is going to last." He laughed, Lewis only rolled his eyes, scoffed and absorbed himself in the silence once again, staring blankly into the dull glow of the candles slowly melting on the coffee table. Twiddling his thumbs once more Louie listened to the leaves on the branches of the trees around his quaint little house rustle violently in the wind as the storm raged, the rain pelting the house mersilously accompanied by the show of lightening and everything else that went on with it. However, his phone buzzed loudly in his lap which caused him to jump slightly. Sighing with relief he slid the top half of the Samsung open and read the response from LeeLee. He glared at his phone in disbelief "She's out in this. . .running!?!?" Louie mumbled angrily to himself. "Why isn't she at home!?!?" Lewis complained, typing out a quick response.

              To: LeeLee
              From: Louie the Dork!
You're running around outside in this!! Are you crazy!?!? Where the hell are you??? Find some shelter, I'm coming to get you no matter what you say. . .it's more dangerous for you to be running exposed in this storm than it is for me to drive around in it.

Louie sent the message and quickly slid his phone back in his pocket and pushed himself up off the love seat and began feeling his way back to his bedroom as best as he could "Where are you going Louie honey?" he heard his mother asking him obviously concerned as he made his way back to his bedroom. Lewis remained quiet, he wasn't going to tell his mother now because if he did she'd stop him in his tracks. "Lewis!" He heard his mother call again as he walked in his room and flicked the light switch but felt foolish when nothing happened, old habbits die hard, he thought comically walking over to his night stand and grabbing his truck keys and quickly scooped them up in his hands before turning on his heel and walking back out of his room. "Honey, you can't go anywhere in this weather!" His mother insisted but Louie moved past her walking in the direction of the garage "Mom." Lewis said urgently but there was an essence of annoyance in that "Mary is running around somewhere in this storm. . ." He trailed off before walking off and entering the garage. Pressing the garage door button Louie watched as the door groaned and began raising, rain pouring into the garage as the wind whipped around wildly. "Holy crap." Lewis complained bolting out of the garage as soon as the door had risen high enough for him to duck under.

Struggling with the drivers door Louie was mercilously pelted by rain as he finally climbed into the cloth seat and yanked the door closed. "I hope LeeLee hasn't blown away." Lewis mused as he stuck the key in the ignition, pressed down on the clutch and turned the key, bringing the little Ford Ranger to life. The sound of static from the storm came over the speakers but Nothin on You by B.O.B could be heard subtly through the static. Turning on the wipers as fast as they would go and flipping the 'light' button Lewis then revved the engine, jerked the gear shift and backed out of his driveway and then began heading in the direction of town, trying his best to see through the rain and dark sky, although the lightening illuminating the sky did help.

Time seemed to pass by until the sound of her cell phone went off. It was faint because of the thunder and possibly lightning. Laying on her bed, drinking hot tea she picked up her red sliding phone to see who it was. Yup, it was Carmen. Smiliing her fingers went flying on top of the phone.

                            To: My other half
                            From: Your other half
Oh Yay! Alright, even though the storm is crazy do you want me to come pick you up? Sorry for dropping you home and stuff, and yes. Let’s! I’m sure my grandparents won’t mind! Oh, and I'm coming now!

She sent the text and it was sent to Carmen’s phone. Rolling off her bed, she tip toed to her grandmothers room. “Nana? Can Carls come over?” Her grandfather grunted. Poking her grandma, “Nana, can she?” She asked again. Her grandmother nodded her head and rolled over to her side. Smiling widely, she went to room and changed her clothes Again. She had a lot of clothes because; she was a fashionista after all. Having too much clothes was never a hassle. Running outside with her hands over her head to protect her hair, she ran into her car and turned on the car. The rain beaded heavily on top of her silver car. Groaning, she put the car in reverse. Carefully on the road, the window wipers were going back and worth, and her lights were on high. She couldn't really see much. Finally, a stop light appeared. Knowing that someone texted her because her text message ringtone went off once.

Yeah, I guess. Well, I'm out here driving in this thunder storm :/
And, Really? That's nice! Making friends =) And, good grandparents! haha, well. Aww, you care about me! lol. It's okay, love. Alright, tomorrow it is? I promise no more shopping alright? And, yes. yes. movies it is, and hot chocolate and warm cookies : D ? Hahaha, see you tonight. And we will have fun. Stay safe alright?

The light turned green. Once again on the road. Actually thinking about it, she realized then that she was really missing Tony. Taping slightly on her wheel, she reminisced about the times they had. The late night fun time, the parties, the special one on one time with each other? It was a special moment for her, and hopefully him. He meant so much to her, but shopping and other things seemed more important at the time. Shaking her head, Vanessa pulled into the dirt road to Carmen's house. Running to her door, she knocked. Looking at the head lights that beamed on the house, suddenly lightning came from the sky and pierced the earth following with thunder. Scared out of her mind, she opened the front door and went inside. "Carmen?" The thunder boomed. Running down the hall, she opened a door and it was surprisingly hers. "CARMEN!" She said. With a huge smile she hugged her friend. "Let's go missy! We got warm cookies and milk, a home made spa, and movies to watch!" She grabbed her friends arm and went out the door.

Finally, back at her grandmothers house, they were inside Vanessa room. It was filled with candles, and escense, a t.v, warm cookies and milk, and a dvd stack and a homemade spa. "Now, what do you want to start with? Homemade spa and talk?" She asked. Vanessa was so excited to have a night long sleep over with her best friend, and sister Carmen.

Demetri had been out walking around all day. He had become bored of just walking around, but he really didn't want to go back to his grandparents' house. At some point he had went back to the park. Believe it or not, he actually got on the swings and swung. He felt like a little kid while he was swinging. It was the best he'd felt since he'd arrived in South Carolina. Demetri found it odd that he felt that way while he was swinging, but he couldn't deny it. For the longest time he stayed on the swings, but at some point, he just stopped swinging. Demetri sat there, just thinking. After what seemed like forever, he got up and started making his way towards his grandparents' house. There was nowhere else to go for him. He never heard back from Noah. Demetri had been all ready to chill with Noah, but then nothing happened. He hadn't even heard back from Vanessa. Demetri just shrugged it off though. Maybe this was just a typical day in South Carolina. Of course, this would drive him crazy eventually. He had already been bored out of his mind today. How much more could it take? But maybe it was better than staying home and doing chores for his grandparents. That was crazy. Why did all the old people in South Carolina always have so much to do and clean around their houses? Demetri found it odd, but, then again, everything in South Carolina seemed odd to Demetri.

It was around seven o'clock when Demetri finally made it back to his grandparents house. And by that time there were dark clouds rolling in and thunder clapping everywhere. Demetri got lucky too. As soon as he stepped on the porch and opened that door, the rain started. "Miss that in time." Demetri said to himself with relief. Demetri made his way into the house. Suddenly, the smell of food hit his nose and he sniffed a few times. He hadn't realized he was hungry until he smelled the door. Demetri practically ran to the kitchen, only to halt at the doorway and stare into the kitchen. His grandmother was cooking and there was already food on the table. There were mashed potatoes with gravy. There was dressing and other things. His grandmother turned to him and smiled. "Bout time you got back here. It's almost dinner time. I'm almost done with the meatloaf." When Demetri heard meatloaf, his nose almost wrinkled, but he was too hungry to think anything about it. Demetri figured he'd give his grandmothers cooking a try. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad. Demetri sat down at the table and suddenly his phone vibrated. He reached in his pocket and took it out, flipping it open to read it. It was from Vanessa. He read it over for a moment, laughing a little bit, but feeling kind of good that Vanessa still considered him a friend.

Well, I can't say I haven't felt left out today. But I'm not complaining. I've had a lot of time to think. It's good to know you still consider me a friend. I mean, sure, as far as I know we're all still friends, but to me it seems everyone is kinda fading into a group. Idk. Maybe it's me. I'm sorry Tony bailed on you. That's not nice. You have fun with Carmen then if you have her over. [:

Demetri read it, nodded and pressed send. As soon as his phone was back in his pocket, he looked up and found his grandmother at the table, staring at him. Demetri jumped, surprised to find her so close to the table. His grandmother shook her head. "I don't know why you kids need those contraptions. It's all y'all ever do is type away on those things. Why don't y'all just call each other like normal people." His grandmother ranted, shaking her head the whole time. Demetri gave a small laugh and sat back in the chair. "Grandma, texting is what normal people do now. You should try it." Demetri told her with a laugh. His grandmother just shook her head and went back to the meatloaf, mumbling to herself. Demetri laughed again and then heard his stomach growling. He put his hand over his stomach, feeling rather sick for the moment. That meatloaf wasn't starting to sound so bad.
