"Woof woof woof!", Bella's eyes shot open at the familiar sound of her dog's barking, she looked over at the alarm clock which read five-thirty in red blocky numbers, Bella put both her hands on her face and let out a tired sigh woof woof woof! she looked over the bed to see her golden retriever staring at her, his tail wagging uncontrollably, a smile crept on her face and she pulled herself up by her elbow "Are you ready for a run, Pip?"

Bella jogged down the fog covered sidewalks, some people were out walking their dogs and others heading to work, she looked up at the sky and noticed the sun peaking out she hoped today would be a sunny day, she was tired of foggy boring days. Bella switched the song on her iPod and began jogging a little faster, she looked to her side to see if Pip was still at her side, the dog seemed concentrated on the walk ahead. Bella stopped at the park across from her work, she did a few stretches and took out a ball from her pack, she showed the ball to Pip and he immediately locked his eyes onto it, Bella smiled and swung it as hard as she could, for being so petite she knew how to throw a ball pretty far. The ball shot across the sky and Pip ran towards it, Bella watched the dog run before turning around to get her water bottle , about a minute later the dog returned and placed the ball in front of her, Bella bend down to pick it up "Good boy, Pip!" she pet the dog and threw the ball once more.

After playing at the park for a while, Bella decided it was time to go home. As soon as she began to run the dog followed. It was later in the morning now so there was more people, including a few runners like herself. As she continued to run she felt a presence near her, she looked to her side and saw a man jogging next her, a smile appeared on his face "Nice to see another fellow runner ." he told her. Bella smiled and continued running she wasn't really the conversation starting type, especially while she was running. The man continued to jog along side her, Bella had to admit he was really handsome he had a nice toned body and a full set of dark hair. Bella suddenly stopped to let Pip rest for a bit as soon as she stopped so did the man "Listen if you're not doing anything later.... I'd like to take you out for a drink, You're really beautiful and I don't want to pass the opportunity. Here's my card." he handed Bella a card and turned around and began running. Bella looked down at the card and shook her head "Mark Perry CEO...." Bella wasn't much into dating, well dating in general. She was never really interested in people, except for one but he probably had no clue who she was. Bella let out a sigh and let go of the card, she watched as the wind blew it off into the water, she shrugged and made her way home.

Once she got home it was time to start her day, she looked over at the clock "Ok, six-thirty.", she headed to the kitchen and turned on the small television she changed it to the local news, she loved to hear what was happening around the city while she got ready. She filled Pip's bowl with water and placed it on the floor "I'll feed you in a bit." she told the dog. She then headed to her bedroom to pick out some clothes after debating on what to wear she finally decided , she quickly headed to the bathroom and took off her running clothes.

After her shower she dried her hair and placed it in a loose bun, she quickly changed and headed to the kitchen where she poured dog food in Pip's bowl, she then poured some cereal in a bowl for herself. She leaned against the counter as she watched the news a man was talking about a protest that was happening, suddenly the screen changed to a blond weather-woman who was wearing a top to small for her and a pound of make up on her face "It looks like there's going to be beautiful weather for the whole week, sunny skies and breezy winds out there, a perfect time to go out in that beautiful San Francisco water." , Bella turned off the television and placed the bowl in the sink she grabbed her bag and her keys and headed out the door "Good bye, Pip. Take care of the house.", she locked the door and headed out into the San Francisco streets.

Bella looked up at her favorite place in the world the library she made her way up the steps and opened the door, as soon as she went in she locked the door behind her. She quickly walked towards her desk and set her belongings inside her desk she quickly locked it she heard heels echoing from the walls and looked up, a smile appeared on her face "Maggie!" she walked up to greet her boss, they had known each other for six years and one day she had offered her this job "Bella! How are you?" , Bella shrugged "Pretty good. What brings you to my section today?", Maggie looked around before looking at her "There's going to be a wedding upstairs so that area is locked for today." Bella nodded, she always thought a wedding at the library was an amazing idea, she hoped that one day she would get married here "I think that's wonderful. This is such a beautiful place to get married." Maggie smiled and nodded, the woman turned around and began walking "Do you want to grab lunch later?", Bella nodded "Sure just come get me when you're ready."

Bella made her way to the front door and opened it, within the first few minutes people began to enter. Bella made her way to a familiar seat way in the back, she knew he'd be here soon, she made sure his work place looked perfect before heading out to put away some books. Bella pushed the book cart from aisle to aisle. Sometimes she would get side tracked and start reading one of the books she was about to put away, this book was about a girl who was trapped in an endless dream and had to escape "Excuse me? Do you work here?" Bella looked up and saw a teenage girl looking at her "Uh, Yeah? How can I help you?" the girl handed her a piece of paper containing a book title "I need help looking for this book." Bella stared at the title trying to remember where she'd seen it "Of course. Follow me." she set the book she was reading in the book cart and began pushing it towards another aisle. As she found the book she handed it to the girl "Here we are." she handed her the book and smiled "Thanks." Bella watched the girl leave and went to put away the rest of the books. As soon as she had finished she sat down in one of the chairs and continued reading the book from before, occasionally she would look up to the seat a few tables from her, disappointment usually flooded her when she saw it empty.

It was five in the morning. A steady hand was working tirelessly. Claire was awake trying to finish one of her oil paintings she had been working on diligently for the past three months. Seeing the nearly finished work of art gave the girl strength to press on. She added a touch of color here and there, and a few of layers of paint where they were needed. Finally, when she thought she was finished the girl leaned back to admire what she had accomplished. The painting seemed to life-like that anyone who saw it would think the sunset portrayed was actual, and that the rectangular canvas a window. Claire leaned her head back, feeling the all-nighter catch up to her in a rush. She groaned, yawned, and stretched her tired arms. "Uh..I think I'll catch some sleep.." She walked over to her bed and was out within a matter of seconds.

                                              LATER

Just an hour and a half later, an annoying BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP! woke Claire from her slumber. Groaning, she turned over and hit her clock. The room was silent once more. Sighing, the girl got up from her bed and pulled back her curtains letting the morning rays warm her room. She let the sunlight bathe her before rubbing her eyes and turning to go to her bathroom. Claire disappeared for a full hour before emerging. Showered, clean, and fragrant, she strolled into her kitchen for something to eat. Claire always had a good breakfast no matter what. She opened her fridge and grabbed some fruits and juice. She stuck a slice of bread into her toaster and got out some strawberry jam.

While she ate, Claire mentally made a check list for things she needed to do. Take my painting to the studio. Groceries. I need some fresh pencils, pastels, and canvas. Call mom and dad. Call clients. Then I'm free to go to the park. Fresh out of college, the girl was already independent with a steady job. She sold her paintings or filled out special orders for people who wanted specific things. In just a year, she had been able to sell over thirty paintings, sketches, portraits, and mix media. Considering that it did take quite a while to finish just one work, Claire was very proud of herself. Her parents had finally realized art was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life, and given her their approval. They even praised her for her success. Her parents' support really meant a lot to the girl and she was glad for it.

Finishing off the last slice of her apple, Claire got up and put all the dishes in the sink. The girl walked back to her room and chose something suitable to wear then went for the oil painting she had finished just that morning. Careful not to touch the wet paint, she took it to her car. Oil paint usually needed about a year to dry. This would be the first oil piece she'd be selling as soon as it was dry. Ever time she sold one of her artworks, the girl felt a certain sadness. Parting with what she had created was no easy feat, but she did it anyway. Claire put the painting gingerly on the passenger seat, and started her car. The drive to her studio was short; she could have easily walked the distance. The girl took the painting inside the building and set it on one of the easels. Not wanting to waste time, Claire took a look around and left right away. She walked to a crafts store she knew. Most of the staff knew her already, and helped her with what she needed. As soon as she had made her purchase, the girl walked back to her studio and set the new materials on her desk.

"I'll get the groceries later, and call mom and dad tonight," she mumbled as she ran a hand through her hair. "I guess I'll call my clients then head over to the park." Said park was just across the street. The location was really very convenient for Claire. She liked where everything was located and how easily accessible things were. The girl picked up her phone and dialed a number she had written down on a sticky note which was stuck to the wall next to her desk. She sat down and waited for the person to pick up. "Hello?" the voice on the other line said. "Yes. Hello Ms. Clark. I was just calling to inform you that the portrait you ordered is ready to be picked up," said Claire with a cheerful tone. "You can come by any time to get it." The girl stared at the portrait she was talking about. It was sitting on the easel near the door. "Oh, thank you! I'll come by later, around four, to pick it up." With few last words, Claire ended the call. "Now, to the park."

The weather was great. Claire strolled through the park enjoying the sun and warm breeze. She found her usual spot and sat down. There was a particular person she like to draw. She like catching him in odd poses and putting it on paper. Looking around, she couldn't spot him. Shrugging it off, Claire settled for a few small children running around. The girl adored little kids. Seeing them made her really happy. Smiling, Claire got to work.
