Ϩhould have not noticed, because if he would have known that, he'd take the chance at seeing her naked. But, that was beyond the point. As Justus sat down, the same thoughts twirled inside his head. Who was the mystery guy that she wanted to notice her? Was it someone in his group, someone he was friends with? Perhaps it was a new guy, or even better, perhaps it was someone he was really close to. Wouldn't that just be the kicker? He knew it would be hard to see her with someone else, but he'd find it even harder if he had to see her with someone whom was in his circle. Then, he'd never be able to avoid seeing them, and every time, he was sure his heart would break in two. But, Justus just had to hope he wasn't too late. He needed to either step it up or concede, and giving up just wasn't in his blood.
He took the conversation one piece at a time, so he could fully process what was going on as she was speaking to him. Surely, he'd be fine by lunch. But as of now, he was just glad it was the first day of school. First days meant syllabuses, and getting to know the teacher, perhaps what they'd be studying. They required little effort, which was what he would give today, so he knew he'd make it through just fine. "My holiday was lonely. I wouldn't say it was okay, but I guess it could have been worse, right?" He shrugged his shoulders slightly, and when the bell rang, he sat up to slowly make his way to stand. That was it, he needed to get up and ready for business, regardless of how he'd felt.
When she mentioned someone noticing her, he scoffed aloud, his eyes rolling into his head for a moment as his hands moved to push himself up to his feet. If someone didn't notice her now, he figured they were blind, because she had to be the most gorgeous girl in all of the county. But he half frowned at the thought as well as he threw the backpack onto his back, and offered a hand to help her off of the table. "You're absolutely gorgeous, and he'd be stupid if he didn't notice you. But, if he didn't notice you before this, he doesn't deserve you. You're the most awesome person I know." As he started to step into the direction he needed to go, for Biology as his first class, he quickly decided to turn the other direction, towards the art wing. He'd walk her to class. That was friendly, right?
"My summer was alright. Spent most of it in the city. Met a couple of cool people. Fun to hang out with, sure. Just... Not sure how 'great' they are." He chuckled softly, and tucked his hands into his pockets as they made their way to her class. He'd have to double back pretty quick if he wanted to be on time, but then again, a few minutes late wouldn't be a big deal. Besides, trouble was his new name, and he certainly liked to make an entrance. "Well, what about you? How was your summer? Obviously, you met someone." He nudged her playfully, and frowned on the inside, but kept the joking manner as a nice smoke screen for his true feelings. "Yeah, last year. It's crazy. Now, we've got to decide what we're going to do with the rest of our lives."
As they reached the door of the art building, he took hold of the handle and swung it open for both of them to walk through, instinctively, and headed right behind her. His eyes moved to her body quickly to sneak a peek, but then quickly, returned back to her beautiful, mesmerizing eyes. Justus reached into his pocket, and grabbed a slip of paper he'd kept there for memorization, and handed it to his friend, with a slight smirk. "Here, hold onto this for me. That way, I don't lose it. And you'll know where I'll be." On the paper, his school schedule for his first semester of the year, written down. His classes appeared there, so she could text him what classes they had shared, and she could know where to find him. As the 'minute' bell rang, his eyes opened slightly larger than normal, and he turned slightly from where he stood. "Uh oh. Can't be too late. Hopefully, I'll see you later?" As he started to step away, he figured he'd take a chance at something he normally wouldn't do.
He moved in slightly, and placed a kiss on the left side of her cheek, pausing just for a moment to stare into her eyes. Being face to face was nerve-wrecking, but still, he chose to do it, before his lips moved to nearly pressed up against her ear, his warm breath against her skin. "You look amazing. Knock 'em dead." With that, as much as he could handle, anyway, he walked off without a word, and headed out the door, for the class he was supposed to attend. On his way, he stopped to converse with one of the football players of the school when he heard the final bell ring. Both of them said goodbye, as Justus headed for the water fountain next to the classroom he needed to be in. With a large drink, he walked in, and explained to the teacher, he was thirsty.
