                      • The body of a female that was barely even moving this morning had suddenly inched over a little and soon turned around in the other direction it was originally facing. Soon enough, two eyelids were starting to open when her body felt a light wind touched the back of her neck. Who the hell left the window open again? Was it Val? She started thinking to herself while she sat her body in an upright positioned, her eyes wandering over to the window and then over to the bed that was right at the other end of the room. A small grin played on her lips as she soon moved out of her own bed and made her way to where her roommate slept. Her body soon moved up into the spot where he lay and curled up next to him, not even worrying about the fact she was only in a tanktop and shorts. Soon enough, the male had started to move a little, but before he could even get a word out Em had already beat him to it. ”I'm cold, so you shouldn't move a muscle.” She spoke while not even bothering to make eye contact with him, but instead keep both her eyes closed. Of course the female wasn't actually cold, she was used to it by now, but it was nice every now and then to feel the warmth of another person. Every now and then being every morning, and another person being her roommate, whom she has known ever since her first year at this academy. He was one out of few that she was close with and could let her guard down, just a little.

A slight groan came out from her mouth when she heard the sound of an alarm going off, it was the same noise she heard every morning for the past three years and this year would make it four. Before Em slowly removed herself from Val who was still trying to wake up, she moved up slightly and pressed her lips against his neck, leaving a mark that would probably stay there longer than he wanted. The female finally moved away, heading inside the bathroom to get ready. She grabbed hold of her toothbrush, running the tip under cool water before she started brushing her teeth. As she did so, there was a bit of frost developing on the brush before she rinsed it off and placed it back where it originally was. ”Every single morning, for ******** sake..” She whispered under her breath while placing her hands on the edge of the sink, taking a look in the mirror while she let a breath out. The palms of her hands started to feel a tad bit more colder than usual, probably because she was already starting her day out pretty bad. Em spent a few more minutes in there, combing out the tangles in her hair before walking out and heading to where her clothes were located. Her hands were already at the bottom of her tanktop before she stopped and spoke up, ”Close your eyes if you're already up.” She slipped her top off along with her shorts, digging inside the dresser to find something that seemed appropriate for today. After looking for over a minute, she found a short sleeved shirt and a pair of jeans and put both of those items over her skin. ”Alright, you can do whatever now.” Em spoke up, turning around to the sound of something hitting a wall. Apparently the male was trying to make it to the bathroom while having his eyelids shut.

She couldn't help but laugh a little before covering her mouth and taking a seat on the edge of her bed, sliding her hands up into her hair and moving each strand into a loose bun not caring how messy it was looking. Her brown eyes traveled over to the nightstand beside her bed, where her phone was now lighting up due to the alarm telling her it was time to get up. Em rolled her eyes once more, she was already up and ready to get her classes over with; it was as if she could feel a slight headache coming on. Not too long, Val was out of the bathroom now clothed in a fancy sweater along with some trousers that went with it nicely. ”Well aren't you looking awfully dapper as usual.” She spoke while standing up and slipping her feet into her shoes and grabbed hold of a light jacket. ”I hope you're ready for the excitement waiting in our foreign languages class early this morning.” Em spoke, smiling while having her eyebrows raised up. Her feet took a few steps towards the entrance of their dorm, where she waited for Val, watching him try and get his shoes on. ”Anyways, I'm not in any hurry to get there so why don't we go get some coffee? Or in your case, some tea instead?” The female was well aware of how much Mr. Valentine over there enjoyed his cup of tea in the morning, especially when it was hot. Who could blame him? When it's nice and chilly outside, it'd do someone good to have a nice and warm beverage that gave you a little most in the morning.

He finally finished up what he was doing and made his way over to her, ”You're awfully slow today, not feeling well or are you just a little off?” The female questioned, leaning her back against the door and tilting her head to the side a little while a smile played across her lips. ”I personally think it's your fault for waking me up the way you did.” The male had spoke, giving her a look. ”Please, don't act like you didn't like it. It's not my fault the window was left open and it got a little cold in here. I was only thinking of you.” Em spoke, puffing out her bottom lip while she looked at him. ”Speaking of which, I still need to close it, hold on a sec.” The female walked over to the other side of the room and placed her hands on top of the window, closing it with a little more force than necessary. ”Okay, now lets go.” The two figures left the dorm room, closing the door behind them. For an average person, a walk from the dorms to the coffee shop should usually only be about ten minutes, but for them it took a little over that due to the slow pace they were walking.

After they had finally arrived, they walked up to where the line was which was surprisingly shorter than usual. ”Gonna get the usual?” She asked, looking over at him and then moving up. Eventually it was their turn to order, ”Yeah, i'd like a cup of coffee with lots of creamer and sugar.” The female moved over to the side, waiting on her coffee and for the person she came in with to finish up. Her fingertips repeatedly tapped the counter, and soon enough she had what she came in there for and paid what was owed. Em went ahead and took a seat at a table located near one of the windows and waited for Val to arrive with that hot cup of tea he usually ordered. The female went ahead and took a sip of the coffee, not even worrying about how hot it was; better to have it as is than when it got cold. ”How's that tea of yours?” She asked, taking another sip of her coffee this time burning her tongue slightly. ”Oh ********] Em placed the cup down and lightly touched the top of her tongue with her finger tips, cooling the burning sensation. ”That did not feel good.” It was obvious a few people were looking at her since she went ahead and dropped the 'F' bomb. ”I probably should have waited a minute or two huh?” She said, removing her fingers away from her tongue and closing her mouth.

                                                          • A Monday. A sunny and yet a very foggy Monday. Not a good start of the week and definitely not a good start of the school year, Lynette decided, as a bright ray of sun woke her up. She had tried to protect her eyes from the brightness with her hands and a gigantic pillow, tried turning around so she'd be facing the wall instead of the big window, but all that woke her up. And once she was awake it was impossible to fall back to sleep. With a yawn, she slowly sit up in her bed, careful not to wake Clarity lying by her feet. “Morning, sweet,” she muttered and stroked the cat behind her ears, before turning to look at her roommate sleeping on the other side of the room. She wasn’t completely awake yet and couldn’t quite make it out if Jesper was still sleeping or not- therefore she teleported right next to his bed, taking a closer look. He was lying on his back, with mouth hanging open; there were weird sounds coming from his throat, but she couldn’t identify them. Was he saying something? She leaned closer with a smile on her lips, before giving up and heading to the bathroom.

It took her ten minutes to take a shower and brush her teeth. After checking the clock on the bathroom wall she realized there were still two hours before the classes started, which was good news. At last something to be excited about. She teleported to her closet, with a towel tightly wrapped around her slim figure, grabbing a pair of jeans and a tank top, over which she decided to wear an oversized sweater. After getting her beanie from the other side of the room, she gathered her wallet and phone, stopping in the middle of the room. There were many options for breakfast, but she was really craving some croissants. She knew of a brilliant bakery in NYC, but it was nothing compared to her favourite one- located in the centre of Paris. With a swift movement she checked the screen of her phone, which gave her all the info she needed. It was just past five in France, meaning most shops were still open. She closed her eyes and, when she opened them again, she was standing in back street behind the bakery. She could smell the delicious pastry that probably just left the oven and headed to the entrance without hesitation.

The woman behind the counter- Janelle- greeted her with a big smile as she entered the shop, looking pleased to finally see her again. It’d been a while. “Salut, Lyn! Où étiez-vous? Il ya longtemps que je te ai vu!” Hi, Lyn! Where have you been? It's been ages since I saw you! Lynette smiled back, raising her hands in order to properly greet the other woman, who she could probably call a friend by now. “I know! But you know how it is- you have this and that to do and have barely enough time to breathe, what even call or visit your friends!” They spent the next fifteen minutes just chatting, while waiting for the fresh croissants to be baked. Lyn considered visiting her parents, but decided it wasn’t the best idea considering they were both probably still working. Besides, classes were starting soon and she had to get ready. She hated to rush.

Lynette was back in her room by half seven, a paper bag of warm croissants in her left and a pair of Starbucks coffees in her right. She placed them all very carefully on the desk, teleported to the couch, where she put down her beanie and sweater, then back to Jesper’s bed. No movements. No noises. He was still sleeping. Lyn leaned in to his ear, whispering: “Good morning, Jesper. It’s half past seven. Get up.” There was no response and she simply shook her shoulders, teleporting to the desk and grabbing her mobile phone. It was the 10th. The 10th of September, which meant an insanely awesome party. She wondered whether Corey had anything planned yet..

                                                            tab To: COREY
                                                            tab Morning, fire princess!
tab THE PARTY TONIGHT- any wishes/plans/ideas ?

Her eyes had observed the screen as a sign ‘sent’ appeared, before she looked up in Jesper’s direction once again. “Jes! I know the thought of school in less than two hours doesn’t help.. But I brought food! That ought to help you get out of bed.” A small smile appeared on her face as she shook her head.

I will change the layout later, I'm very short on time rn. also- sorry for this being so short.

She was already dreading getting up this morning as Tarra wanted to just ignore that really annoying sound called an alarm clock. It rang in her ears next to bed on the nightstand and she didn't want to get out of her warm covers. The female needed to stop the god awful ringing before her roommate Zane woke up. Before she could actually turn off the wretched alarm, she pushed the covers off her and rubbed her eyes to realize that her black cat Loki has slept under the sheets with her as well "Silly cat." she hummed quietly and pressed the snooze button on the alarm. As it became quiet, she groggily sat up in bed and sighed heavily. It was Monday morning and there was a slight chill in the room. Guess Zane forgot to turn the heater up last night oh well. As Tarra picked Loki up, she was lucky enough to not witness his demise as she already had seem some of his past and future. There was no danger yet for this cat. The purr of the cat told her that he was content as she stroked the fur, scratching his ears and giving him a nice back rub. "A new week and still same classes." she looked down at her cat, talking to him. "I need you to be good again..and please don't wake Zane up." she smiled and stroked the cats fur one last time before slipping out of bed. Tarra then grabbed some clothes and headed for the bathroom.

Cleaned and ready to head out for the day, all Tarra could remember was her first day here and her run in with Lyn. Tarra had forgotten to wear her gloves and she was just about to go back to her room and get them and she had bumped into Lyn. Without asking, the other female had grabbed her hand to introduce herself and thats when Tarra froze and saw the danger in her past and future. She needed a moment to adjust herself but once she was okay, she saw the look in Lyn's eyes and the curiousness. She told the female what had happened and told her to stay away from cheating on any test and the two became friends. Now all Tarra worries about is that Lyn will come back to her again wanting another future shock if she will do something dangerous or stupid thing to herself. The blonde walked over towards her nightstand and grabbed her gloves and put them on. Giving Loki one last pet on top of his head and poured food and water into his small glass bowls, she was out the door but had wished Zane a good day "Have a good day Zane! See you sometime today." she called out and closed the door behind her.

Turning around to face the long hallway, Tarra let out a small sigh and headed out of the building and straight towards the cafe first to get coffee and probably head to the library before she had to go to class. Her first class was English Composition ll. She really thought it wasn't necessary but if she wanted to be here to train her powers so she didn't have to use her gloves at all. The female absent mindedly laced her fingers together out of nervousness and sighed again. It was really sad that she couldn't really talk to anyone about the use of her power but then again she hasn't been in the school for so long. This was her first year and it wasn't turning out so great for her. As she walked outside, she stopped for a moment to watch a few squirrels chasing each other up the tree and playing around in the branches, it made her giggle. It sorta brightened up her morning. However she wished she had a bigger fluffier jacket on since the wind picked up a little and she wrapped her arms around herself walking to the cafe. The cafe was a cute small building with a cute sign. She pushed the door open and instantly took a whiff of the coffee smell into her nose.

After she ordered a peppermint mocha, she walked over towards a wall and leaned against it, waiting for the barista to make her coffee. She gazed around the building seeing people drinking their coffee or talking on their phones, typing away at their computer or reading a book from the library next door. It didn't take long as her name was called a few moments alter as she was looking around the building. She walked up to the counter and smiled at the barista, thanked her and grabbed her coffee. She turned and headed back outside to head into the library so she could find more books to read. Back home, she left most of her books at her aunt and uncle's house and since there was a library she wasn't worried. Maybe she could grab a cook book and try new things to make. She could get Benjamin's help there was no way he would say no to her. The two became friends instantly after meeting Lyn. Tarra told Ben about the whole future grab from Lyn and he instantly gave her space. He actually gave her the gloves she has on right now. it felt like a toy store for Tarra as she stepped into the library building. Just seeing so many books made a smile creep up her face and she headed straight for the fantasy romance novel section and occupied into a couch.

[[ ooc:: TADA a Tarra post. Anyone can go bug her c: she is free to talk to so someone please go bug her xD // also short post is crappy booo promise it will get better~ ]]

Though alone, the man still felt as if dark unwanted guests hung around him at all times, pricking and tickling their dark tongues into his ears and engulfing the man with devious and deadly thoughts. He lifted the cigarette between his lips and inhaled, held it for a moment, then exhaled the smoke. Ignoring the hushed whispers that only his ears could hear, he lifted his free hand for a moment, and shooed all the voices away so he could be left in his thoughts.

Vincent Burgess took a step towards the one and only body in the alley with him. He wouldn't even of considered the body to be a human by the stillness and paleness of him. The homeless man lay limp at his shiny black dress shoes, and Vince did not even budge. His veins felt on fire, full of the dark power that consumed him. The aura of the homeless man was weak, but he drained so much of the man, that even the weakness of him, felt wonderful. Taking a small knife from his pocket, he cut his palm, and a black oozing blood rushed from the wound. Almost instantly, he could visualize the dark spirits fighting like animals to drink the power from his open wound. As the spirits finished consuming the homeless man's soul, he watched as they fed and tore upon the mans corpse. He made no expression as he pulled a black handkerchief, with the initials 'V.B' in gothic cursive sprawled across it, and wiped his hand.

He stepped over the remains of the man's body as he slid from the alley and joined the other commoners on the sidewalk, going on with their day-to-day petty lives, unknowing of the man that was sacrificed just inches away from them. Luckily spirits were pretty good at hiding evidence. Mostly, because when they were done, there was no more evidence to find.

The tall slimming muscular figure of the man shifted in long strides down the street. One hand shoved into the black slacks while the other held the cigarette between his fingers, his unscruffed shoes hit the ground, but made no sound, as if the male were gliding. His black Calvin Klein button up shirt was crisp, but his sleeves were shoved up to his elbows. The only item on the man that wasn't dark in color was the brilliant ruby crescent ring that wrapped around his middle finger. The Burgess Crest. As much as he hated his family secretly, he still chose to represent the grim family. If he started acting suspicious, would his parents 'get rid of him' the way they got rid of his younger sister? Which would be pawing him off to some distant relative and starting a while new life.

As he walked back through the gates of the school, he made his way back to his dorm, which he shared with a blonde mess, Cornelia Atwood. There was no doubt she was blessed with a nice figure, but she was too rambunctious for him. Plus, he felt as if she purposely left messes out all over the room, just to upset him. As he entered, he grabbed the leather case which held his papers and laptop, then exited just as quickly as he entered. At the moment, he wasn't in the mood for small talk with Cornelia. He honestly didn't even check to see if she was there or not. She was probably out socializing with all the other fools in this college.

Vince wasn't the type to party or have drama. College was just a deploy from his main goal. His family wealth would instantly go to him, along with his father's job if he wanted it, but the more time he could be away from the family, the better. As for now, he needed to study as much as he could on just how powerful he could be at full potential, and what exactly will trigger the most power from him? After that, his plan could continue on. In other words, Vincent did not have many friends.

The library was already booming with people, maybe they just felt like an early start to the semester was a better start. He climbed the staircase to the third floor and found a very dark section with the cliche dust all over it. He pulled out an arm full of books on mixing powers. His dreams from the night before led him to believe that just the right combination could lead to powerful destruction. There were the typical things, like the mixture of the five main elements; earth, wind, water, fire, and spirit, but Vince was searching for much darker magic.

ooc;;ew. first posts. anyone wanna bug him? c:

With a groan, Ginny rolled over on her bed onto her back and threw an arm over her eyes. She did not want to get up just yet. It was too early. Or at least thats what her brain was telling her. The alarm clock going off under her pillow was telling her another thing. As well as the sun that was shining in through the window. It was 7 o'clock in the morning and to Ginny that was still sleeping time. Lifting her arm off of her eyes she started digging under her pillow for her phone. "Where are you?" she grumbled to herself. It was usually right there attached to its charger. Turning over onto her stomach, Ginny opened her eyes and lifted her pillow only to see that her phone wasn't under her pillow like it was supposed to be. Sighing, Ginny leaned over the edge of her bed and started digging under her bed. It must have fallen off of her bed in the middle of the night. Groaning at the annoying sound that was coming from her phone Ginny looked over at her roommate who was still sleeping. Hopefully her alarm wouldn't wake him up. "Sorry." Ginny mumbled to Adam just as her fingers brushed against the metal that was her phone. Gripping it in her hand, Ginny pulled it out from under her bed and sat up on her bed. "Ah ha!" Ginny expressed as she sat back on her heels.

Turning off her alarm, Ginny untangled her legs from her sheets and got out of her bed and walked across to her desk. "Hello, Binx." Ginny said to her gecko as she removed the cover to his cage and picked him up. Rubbing him under his chin Ginny smiled at her pet. While he wasn't the most active pet he still put a smile on her face. Plus, he never ran away and didn't necessarily bother her when she was trying to do something. Sure he sometimes crawled all over her homework when she was working on it, if he was out of the cage, but picking him up and moving him always solved that questions. At least for a few minutes until he reached the notebook again. Plus, his food was cheap and she didn't have to remember to feed him every day. He ate on a every three day pattern. And there wasn't a whole lot of clean up. Every once in awhile she'd have to clean up after his shedding periods but that wasn't all that hard. He was a great pet, and she loved him. Placing him back in his cage, Ginny placed a wax worm in front of him and grabbed his water dish to refill. Walking into the bathroom Ginny dumped the water and ran the bowl under the faucet for a few seconds before filling it and then returning to Binx's cage and placing it back in its spot. "There you go." Ginny said as she ran her finger over his head and then put the cover back on his cage. Walking back into the bathroom Ginny washed her hands and then brushed her teeth. Filling a watering can with water Ginny then went to water her multitude of plants before grabbing some underwear and going to showering.

After scrubbing off the grim from yesterday Ginny grabbed a towel and dried off. Putting on her underwear Ginny turned towards the mirror and started brushing through her damp hair. It would take a few minutes to get through all of the tangles. After brushing out her hair Ginny gathered it into a bun and piled it on top of her head. She'd finish drying her hair after she got dressed. Peaking out into the dorm room Ginny made sure Adam was still sleeping before she slipped out into the room. While she was comfortable walking around in just her bra and underwear, she didn't know how Adam would respond plus, she didn't really want to wrap in her damp towel just to get dressed. Walking over to her dresser Ginny dressed in a green tank top and a pair of flared jeans. Pulling on some black ankle socks Ginny grabbed her grey converse and tied them onto her feet. Walking back over to her bed where she'd left her phone Ginny grabbed her phone off of the charger and stuffed it into her pocket before wrapping her fingers around the end of her charger and pulling a small shock out of the cord to charge her for the day. She was full from the charge she had gotten yesterday out of the small storm that had occurred over night. She'd snuck out late when she could feel the storm building and gathered a few lightning bolts before going back to bed. The storm had been light and there hadn't been that much electricity in the bolts but they filled her full.

Walking back over to her dresser Ginny grabbed a sweater and pulled her arms though the sleeves. She then grabbed her watch and clipped it to her wrist before putting on her lightning bracelet and necklace. She put in some pearl earrings and then walked back into the bathroom. Pulling her hair down from its messy bun, Ginny closed the door and pulled out her blowdryer. Flipping her head upside down, Ginny dried her hair and then straightened it. Fluffing it around her shoulders Ginny smiled at her reflection and then applied a small amount of mascara and then left the bathroom. Surprisingly, Adam was still sleeping. Ginny hadn't even heard an alarm go off. Unless he'd turned it off while she was either in the shower or blow drying her hair.

Placing a finger on his cheek, Ginny pushed in the hollow between his cheekbone and jaw and then giggled to herself before she sent a small, very much harmless zap through her finger, shocking her roommate into awareness. "Morning Adam!" Ginny said in a singsong voice before skipping to the door and picking up her backpack. Opening the door Ginny headed out the door. "Its time to get up." She said before slipping out the door and closing it behind her. She didn't usually wake up Adam that way and he'd probably be a little mad at her. But in her offense she didn't want him to be late on his first day, and she knew shocking him would be a sure way of waking him up. Smiling to herself, Ginny made her way down the hall and out into the cold weather.

Cursing herself almost instantly for not grabbing a thicker sweater Ginny rushed to the cafe to grab herself a quick cup of coffee before heading to the library to claim her books and then to her morning class, History of Interior Design. Waiting in line, Ginny tapped her foot impatiently for her turn. When it was her turn, Ginny ordered her usual a large Chocolate Mocha Latte before going to wait at one of the tables for her order to be called. Pulling out her phone while she waited Ginny checked her emails and answered a few texts. After her drink was called Ginny collected it and headed towards the library. She claimed her books before heading up to the third floor to find a book her English teacher told her she would need that hadn't been on the book requirements list. Heading straight to the back where she was told the book would be Ginny ran her fingers over the dusty spines on the books. She noticed a few people sitting around apparently getting a head start on their readings as she went back. But as soon as she started to reach the back few shelves there were less and less people. Turning the corner on the last shelf Ginny walked to the middle of the shelf and began looking for her book. It was a little dark back there and Ginny's nerves were on end. She couldn't even read the books spines. Lifting her fingers Ginny focused her energy into making an electricity ball in the palm of her hand so she could see. As soon as she had a bit more of light Ginny noticed someone sitting at a table in the corner. Jumping a bit, Ginny looked over at the male sitting at the table examining a few books. "Hi." She said with a small nervous wave before turning back to her search.

An alarm started going off and a dainty hand emerged from under the covers, blindly fumbling its way across the bedside table before finally locating the “off” switch and silencing the annoying buzz. Soon after, a messy pile of blonde hair revealed itself as Millicent McFadden poked her head out to glance at the time. The girl let out a slight groan. She had let herself get out of the habit of this whole school routine, having taken a year off between high school and college – a path her parents had supported while also making it perfectly clear that they hoped she would come around to the idea of school eventually. After all, while her parents were well-meaning, it would have been unacceptable for their daughter to have anything other than the finest of every opportunity money could buy. Millie was never sure if they were overcompensating because she was adopted or if this was the result of her being the only child of an older couple. Regardless, they had begrudgingly accepted her decision and allowed her to spend the year being – by all accounts – a terrible waitress at a restaurant owned by one of their friends. The blonde had spent the entire time insisting that school was simply not the place for her; she had to work more than twice as hard as everyone else to get the same result. But then they had found Fenton.

No one was sure why the brochure had first come to the house, but her parents had been thrilled as they flipped through it and saw all of the school’s prestigious claims. After some pushing, Mr. and Mrs. McFadden were able to convince their daughter take a tour of the school at the very least. To say that they were pleased when – in the car ride home – Millie announced that she planned to apply for admission for the Fall semester would be an understatement.

For the first time in a long time, Millie had been excited about attending school. The members of the faculty she had spoken with on the tour had made it clear that Fenton would be a perfect fit for someone like her. Although the petite blonde had to admit that her excitement had dampened slightly after the disaster that had been her first day on campus. She had made it to her room just fine, personal belongings in tow, only to discover a boy already in there. “Oh, I’m sorry,” she apologized, setting her things down at her feet long enough to dig through her purse. “I must have the wrong room.” Mille had produced her journal from the cavernous innards of her bag and from between its pages pulled a folded sheet of computer paper, detailing her room assignment at the university. She unfolded it and her hazel eyes skimmed the contents. She stepped back out of the room, checking the number outside the door. She came back in. “No. No. I’m in the right place. You’re in the wrong room,” she declared matter-of-factly. Of course, over the course of their introductory conversation Millicent discovered (much to her horror), that this boy – Jackson Sanderson – was actually expected to be her roommate. The whole thing didn’t sit well with Millie and it had all naturally rolled downhill from there.

Now a week into the school year Millicent swung her feet out of bed and onto the cool floor, sending a shiver up her spine. The girl quickly retrieved a cardigan from her dresser drawer and pulled it on over the t-shirt she had slept in. She stretched her arms up over her head, letting out a yawn as she arched her back like a cat. Standing up, the blonde made her way over to her closet; careful to do so quietly lest she wake up her sleeping roommate. Silently rummaging through its contents, she selected her outfit for the day and brought it with her to the bathroom. Though the living arrangements had been set for a week now, she had still not accepted the fact that she was expected to have this boy as her roommate. She absolutely refused to go through her morning routine anywhere he might be able to wake up and see. She had just met him and had yet to trust him as far as she could throw him. Soon after, Millie was in the bathroom, taking a hot shower, brushing her teeth, drying her hair, and braiding it into two braids that she pinned on the top of her head. Next she slipped into her jeans, t-shirt, and pulled her sweater over her head before slipped into a pair of flats and tying a scarf around her neck. The blonde took another moment to inspect her outfit before giving it final approval and returning to her room.

Millicent had always found herself to be a bit of a loner. She preferred to use her spare time to study and the fewer friends she had, the less she had to worry about messing the relationship up with forgotten details. She could never keep any of it straight: birthdays, friend dates, and other important things. It was just easier doing things her way. So it was now – while her peers were out socializing and getting coffee before class – that Millie returned to her room and crawled back onto her bed. She leaned her back against the wall, crossing one leg over the other before pulling her bag up next to her. First she pulled out one of her textbooks and the corresponding set of notes, followed quickly by her iPod and a set of headphones. She slipped the headphones over her ears and opened up her notes to start studying, having read somewhere once before that listening to music while you were studying and again while you were taking an exam helped you retain the information better. Of course, she had yet to actually test this theory but she also figured it couldn’t hurt anything either.

Shane and Shaun, much like everyone else of Fenton University, had a class that they needed to attend. Shane, who was majoring in biology with a specialization in evolution, had a ecological genetics seminar in which attendance was mandatory. Shaun, who was not as bright as his brother, was majoring in history, could have just as easily been preparing for his World War 2 lecture. However, neither brother had chosen to go to their lectures that day. What were they doing instead? Anyone who knows the Masons, which was the majority of the university’s student body, could probably make an educated guess. They were up to no good. The two brothers were both snickering in front of a control panel in the maintence room of the university’s head office. What they were doing was technically illegal, but they deemed it as simply frowned upon. In front of them were the controls for the main emergency sprinkler system, which controlled the fire pervention and containment for the entire university.

Yo Shane, I don’t think Corey’s going to be none to happy when the sprinklers go off,” Shaun said, gasping inbetween fits of laughter as his brother tapped away at various control feeds. His brother was the mastermind behind this prank. All Shaun had to do today was make sure no one saw them do it. If Shane did it right, it would appear to just be a technical glitch. Turning from his brother for a moment, Shaun glanced out of the maintence room door and into the hallway of the building they were in to make sure that the coast was still clear. Smiling when he saw that it was, he turned his attention back to his older brother. The Masons had a copy of the janitor’s key made last year when Shaun first started at the university. The janitor’s master key got them into almost every room of the school, which proved useful for all their pranks.

Well as long as no one sees us, no one will know it was us,” Shane replied with a shrug, before smirking and pressing enter. He had set the sprinklers to go off in ten minutes, which gave them plenty of time to get away from the control room and into the library, so that no one would suspect them. “Alright. Fenton University is about to get their wake up call in about ten minutes. Let’s get to the library to make ourselves look innocent.

Shaun did a mock salute at his brother’s command, causing the older Mason brother to give him a swift punch in the arm. The two choked back another snicker, before leaving the maintence room and locking the door behind them. “I don’t know man. Corey knows we're dicks and she hates water. I bet she tries to beat one of us with a blunt object just in case we were behind it,” Shaun replied as the two of them jogged off in the direction of the library. They had planned this prank for a week, and knew that it would take them about seven minutes to get in the library. That would give them just enough time to take a seat and pretend to study before the sprinklers went off. That would be just enough time to blow some of the supecision of their involvment off their trail and allow them to see some of the other people’s reactions as well. Sure, they’d get wet, but hey it was all for science!

Or whatever. For fun. Who cares?

The Masons made it to the library in seven minutes. They quickly scurried to the nearest table and grabbed a seat. Shaun opened up his text book and pretended to read it while Shane pretended to be grading some papers. He was a teaching assistant this year and had to grade papers for a second year evolution course. It was then that Shaun thought of something, causing him to jerk his head up and stare at his brother with a look of genuine concern on his face. “Dude, what about people’s computers,” Shaun asked, kicking his brother to get his attention. Shane looked unconcerned, as he flipped over a page of a paper he was pretending to grade. Shane knew that there were a couple technopaths at the university that could fix any damaged technologies, and he had not activated the sprinklers in the dorm rooms of students. Anyone studying this early deserved to have their computer fried. It didn’t matter anyway, because not five seconds after Shaun asked his question, the sprinkler systems kicked on. Both the brothers did their best to act as surprised as everyone else. Shane quickly stuffed his papers into his bag before using his jacket to cover his head. Shaun, on the other hand, went for the dramatic side.

WHAT THE HELL,” Shaun yelled, jumping up and closing his text book. “It’s so damn moist in here now!

Shaun chuckled at himself. Moist. What a fun word.
