The Rules

1. They key to making a role play long-lasting is for everyone involved to become good friends and chatting frequently in the OOC. A role play with a barely-active OOC thread struggles to be active IC and dies quickly. So, please be active in the OOC and don't take too long (as in, more than a week every time) to post in the IC.

2. Above all else this is a romance and drama role plays. Exes are not required to get back together and romances can cross between the couples. Please plot drama! I do not want characters so chill that they are incapable of having drama in their lives.

3. Please use real models for your faceclaims. Celebrities are accepted, but don't use anyone that we've seen thousands of times before. Get creative.

4. You must decorate your posts. Bold and colour the speech, use the 'list' coding and have pretty images. You must include the name of the character or, at the very least, their nickname. If you struggle with layouts we'll fix one for you.

5. This is a literate to advanced literate role play. This means that you must know how to spell and use proper grammar, to have pretty posts with good quality images, to know the proper length of a paragraph and to be able to plot exciting drama.

6. Post the reserve in the OOC thread. All the directions on how to make the image are written on the image itself.

7. When creating your character, do keep in mind what other characters traits are. I don't want all characters to be alike. They should be between the ages of 21 and 26.

8. The couples all have an arguments theme to them. This is to fit in with the story, about one guy inviting them over to watch the drama unfold in front of his very eyes. However, where things take off from there is totally up to you.

Couple 1

Where art thou love? They used to have a passionate relationship, fill with excitement and thrills. She was the first woman he ever really fell for and the same story could be said about her. The strong personalities clashed in a romantic relationship that people agreed worked ... somehow. But that wasn't to say things were perfect between them. His manipulative ways and addiction to drama around him got on her nerves, making them argue. Meanwhile her compulsive lying created even more friction between them. Somewhere down the line the two stopped loving each other and grew into brutal enemies. It wasn't that they resented each other for how things ended. They just grew to hate each other. Guy #1 has invited her back, if only to see her add to the drama around him. Will they rekindle their love or are they doomed to be enemies forever?


Couple 2

They were two different jigsaw pieces that fit together perfectly. He was rich and hard-working, she was poor and insecure. They fell in love instantly, their differences seeming unimportant to either of them. To others they never made sense. She was accused of being a gold digger and he of being a fool for a pretty face. But few saw that it was true love. In his warm and strong arms, she became confident and grew a backbone. She found the courage to do the things she always wanted to do. But the rug was swept from underneath her feet when he chose a new job opportunity over of her. She became bitter and angry, resending him for the choice that he made. Looking back, she is still angry. She's still the strong woman she became thanks to him, but she would rather punch him than thank him. Guy #2 is Guy#1's best friend. Perhaps that explains why Guy #1 invited the one ex his best friend still loves. But it won't be a pretty sight. She still has some feelings for him, but it's mixed with anger and mistrust. Will they overcome their issues or will she find someone else?

Couple 3

They were childhood best friends, growing up next door to each other. Even at a young age, Girl #3 showed signs of extreme jealousy and temper tantrums. She was controlling, specially over his best friend. Growing up with her, he never used to mind. He had a way of dealing with her, calming her down. As they entered their teenage years, the two became an item. They dated for years and for the longest time, he seemed to put up with her anger and jealousy. But then one day, something snapped in him. He got tired of her accusing him of having an affair each time he talked to a girl. Got tired of feeling her wrath whenever she came home after a bad day. It was one time too many and he ended things between them. Hoping to see the legendary arguments that have risen every time they met after that, Guy #1 invited them over.

Couple 4

A Hollywood power couple, these two have been a stable in gossip magazines and online articles for a few years now. These two were introduced to each other through a mutual friend, Guy #2. The two were spotted holding hands in the streets, going into restaurants and clubbing and rumors of them dating began instantly. However, it wasn't until six month later when they finally confirmed their romance. They were the ideal couple, romanticized to perfection. Indeed, things were perfect. But even she couldn't tame his bad-boy ways. She could handle his dangerous speeding in fast cars. She could handle his clubbing and drinking. What brought upon most of their fights was his wandering eye. However, it wasn't until she caught him in bed with another woman that things ended between them. The two didn't have a quiet break-up, both trashing the others reputation in the media. He boasted about how often he cheated without her knowledge and she accused him of being a selfish pig. Mix in the media's own speculation and it becomes hard to tell the truth from a lie. What is certain is that these two former love birds have a complicated relationship. They love each other, sure, but that becomes difficult to see with all the fighting.

Couple 5

As the brother of Guy #1, Guy #5 was the wild child of the two. He was a risk taker, thrill seeker and adrenaline junky. During one of his travels he met a dangerous hippy that he instantly fell for. A voice inside of him told him he should find a rich cougar that would fund his lifestyle and match well with his hatred of working, but love won him over. She won him over. They had a wild summer romance, filled with travels and risks. From having sex while skydiving to rock climbing without safety features, everything was done to the extreme. Despite their short romance, Guy #5 was already picking up wedding rings. Calling up his brother to beg for the money, having no funds of his own. But as he was down on one knee, she exposed him to the truth. She wasn't the wild-child hippy that she had pretended to be. She was a business woman that had wanted to prove to the world she wasn't stuck-up. She turned him down and that was the end of their romance. Leaving Guy #5 wondering, did she ever really love him or was he just a pawn in her experiment? In reality, Girl #5 did love him, but how can she possibly be with someone who refuses to work? Would he ever grow up and be the man she wants him to be?

Couple 6

They were just a normal couple that had a not-so-normal break-up. They dated for three years and people liked them together. She was active on social media and on Youtube, with plenty of followers and cash flowing in left and right. She began appearing on radio, talk shows and doing modeling work. In a way she was a 'famous for nothing' celebrity. As much as she worked hard, she wasn't swimming in talents either. She couldn't sing or act to save her life, modeling was only possible due to endless coaching by photographers and her youtube channel mostly consisted of beauty products she liked and clothing she'd bought. But she was stunning, that no one could deny, and had a big personality. She could light up the room and that was the biggest reason behind her success. Guy #6 was a fan turned boyfriend. They dated for three years, having their normal share of arguments and good times. After one legendarily bad argument, the two broke up. The very next day he calls her up and asks to get back together. Fast forward 9 months and a woman shows up, carrying his baby in her arms. Seems someone was a naughty boy on that one fateful day. After DNA tests proved he was the father, the two broke up for good. Anyone have 911 on speed dial in case she chops his head off?

Setting

It is 10PM and the guests are arriving, one by one.
There is a bartender working at the house until 3AM and plans are to party.
