“Finally,” she sighed dramatically, and then grinned. Jay laughed when he opened her door and held out his arm. She slipped her arm in his and grinned, “I guess I could accompany you to this event,” she grinned. She mentally wondered where his girlfriend was, but quickly pushed it aside; she was going to enjoy the time she had with him, while he wasn’t with her. When they walked in she saw Syen and Haylie sitting up in the front. “I’ll be right back,” she smiled and skipped off towards the newly married couple.

She gave them both a hug, “Congratulations you two,” she said happily. Lowering her voice, so that only her brother could hear her, she turned to him, “I know you know this, but you two truly love each other, and just remember nothing will ever change that,” she smiled and then kissed his cheek. She knew that he had been worried lately, but she wasn’t too sure what about, and she wanted him to be reassured that there was nothing that could destroy what he had with Haylie.

Lynn smiled a bit when she heard James’ apology…again; though she didn’t say anything back, she had finally accepted it. She was a stubborn woman and when she believed something, it took a lot to change her mind. It had finally happened and she was surprisingly happy about it, she hoped that now they could get along well enough at family events that they no longer would be awkward. When she finally arrived to where the reception was, she smiled a bit as she saw Jay-Lynn and James walk in together. She wondered where her daughter's fiancé was, but shrugged it off, figuring he had something else he needed to do. She walked inside and sat down. She had seen her daughter Jay talking to Syen and Haylie, so she decided to wait until later to give her congratulations to the two; she knew her eldest daughter hated her and she didn’t want to cause any sort of scene between the two of them. She made a decision to talk to her daughter when the reception was over.

James led his daughter into the reception hall and let her go off to talk to her brother. He would congratulate the newlyweds in a bit. Maybe after Syen's big announcement. Syen had said something about a second dream coming true. It was obviously something big. But for now he sat down at one of the tables and ordered a Pepsi. He figured that this was an even that your average male would order a beer, or something harder at, but he never drunk alcohol. He was not going to become like his father in that prospective.

Haylie clutched Syen's hand all through the dinner. She was so nervous about this. This would either make the reception one of the most happiest events of her life so far, or turn it into a total disaster. Either way she, they, she thought, were going to announce it. She noticed Syen's father, her father-in-law, and her sister-in-law come in. Followed shortly by her mother-in-law. Jay-Lynn then came to talk to Syen, Haylie couldn't make out what she was telling Syen, Haylie was too distracted by her grandfather, who had already been into the Champaign.

(( Edit))

After every one was seated Syen stood up and looked out at all of them. " Hello.... You all know who I am and I know all of you... I would like to thank you for coming, but before we all get carried away.... I would like to tell the world something..... Haylie and I are going to be call mommy and daddy..... We are awaiting the birth of twins..... I would like to thank my wife for making my dreams come true. All of you that know me, have always known I always wanted to be a dad, and that is going to happen. Thank you." Saying that as he sat down. Smiling he leaned over and kissed her. " Your my dream maker.... I love you...."

Haylie listened, so glad that he was making the announcement. She was terrible at public speaking. She was forced to do in so many times when she was younger: in court, against her father. She just about barfed just thinking about it. She kissed him when he sat back down. "Thank you. I love you too." she said. She kissed him again and got ready for the 100 questions and the eight months of people feeling her belly.

Syen smiled and thought of something to say. " Oh yea.... One more thing." Saying that he stood up. " Her belly.... Off limits..... Only I can rub it.... That is all." Saying that knowing it was on her mind, with that he sat down.

James smiled and clapped as Syen made his announcement. He was so glad that he was going to be a grandparent, again. He loved Kai, Ashton's son. But Kai's mother was a witch with a b. So they weren't a complete family. But Syen and Haylie were doing it the proper way. James could watch them developed as a family. He then made his move. He got up and walked over to the two. "Congratulations you two. I'm so happy for you." he said. James then kissed Syen and Haylie both on the forehead.

Haylie grinned as Syen made his second announcement. She swore some days he could read her mind. When he sat down she kissed him again. "I love you." She doubted that anyone would listen to Syen's orders, but she appreciated the gesture. Syen's father then came over and offered his congratulations. She kissed the man on the cheek and said, "Thank you, James." She figured that calling him Mr. Rogers would be too awkward, but "Dad" would just be too weird.

When Lynn heard Syen’s announcement, her jaw dropped and her eyes widened. ‘Well that is something I certainly didn’t expect,’ she thought to herself. She stood up and walked over to them, “Congratulations you two. And I wish you good luck with the twins,” she told them. “You just better hope they don’t act like Syen and Jay did when they were younger,” she smiled. When those two had been younger they liked to cause all sorts of trouble. She kissed them both on the cheek. She glanced up at James, “I feel so old now,” she said smiling slightly. She looked over at Jay-Lynn and her smile faltered a bit when her daughter glared at her and then turned away. She wished that the girl would let her talk to her and explain everything, but anytime she got near her daughter, she’d just walk away.

Jay had taken a seat next to her father after talking to Syen and Haylie. She ordered a Rootbeer and had just taken a drink when Syen made his announcement. Her eyes widened and she began coughing, she cleared her throat and took another drink and managed to stop coughing. “Wow,” she murmured. “I’m thinking twins are going to become a tradition for the family now,” she muttered. ‘Well maybe not the whole family, but half of it at least,’ she thought to herself. She had recently found out that she wasn’t able to have kids; a couple weeks ago she had been feeling extremely sick, so the other day she went to the doctor’s they weren’t sure what exactly was wrong with her, all they knew was that she would never be able to have kids; she still hadn’t told Jake, and even though she knew she needed to she didn’t really want to; it made her feel like she was old.

She sighed lightly, she was happy for them, but was a little bit jealous. At the Syen’s last comment about Haylie’s belly, Jay couldn’t help but giggle. ‘Such a dork,’ she thought as she shook her head. She had been about to get up and congratulate them, but her mother had beat her to it, and she definitely wasn’t going to be anywhere near her mother. She noticed her mother look her way, which caused her to give the woman a deathly glare and turn away, but not before seeing her mother’s face fall. Jay knew she was acting like a child, but it was something she couldn’t help. She stared down at Rootbeer and sighed again.

Syen smiled and kissed her back. " I love you too." That was when he saw his father come up, after hearing what he said he smiled. " Thank you dad..." Then his mother came up and did the same thing. " Thanks mom..."

Alexis was ignoring everyone. It was mostly to keep herself from breaking down. Right now she could really use Tucker. Truth be told she didn't even want to talk to her father right now. She hated that he never even tried to see her after the divorce. She had forgiven her mom. After all if her dad hadn't screwed up and had an affair her mom wouldn't have left in the first place. Thing was she didn't know her dad's side. Right now though she didn't want to know. She was still hurt so bad by what happened. That she buried all her feelings about it. In the end though it wasn't helping. They were all just popping up now.

In her heart she knew that she needed Tucker here right now. Mostly because she could not to talk to her dad by herself. It wasn't that she hated him it was just to hard for her. It was even hard just to look at him in pictures. She needed Tucker here for her. That was when she wondered where he was. She then decided just to have fun and avoid her father till Tucker showed up. After all she knew that she wasn't ready to talk to him right now and she didn't want to ruin this day for her older brother. Mostly because she knew that he deserved this and she wanted him to be happy.

Haylie smiled when Syen's mother came to congratulate them. "Thank you, Ms. Rogers. I can only imagine what Syen was like when he was little." she said as she rubbed Syens back. She then slipped her hand into Syen's hand. She wasn't used to this much attention, and here all day eyes had been on her. She had loved her wedding, but she was thankful it was almost over. She much preferred to stay in the background.

Syen smiled and held onto her hand. He was happy that this whole thing had happened, having everyone there, his whole family. Squeezing her hand a little he kissed her lightly.
