James felt all warm inside when Lynn took his handkerchief. It was almost a symbolic gesture. Maybe they would never be friends, but they could maybe act civilized now. "You're welcome." he mumbled back. It was the first words he spoke to her since the "Who-gets-what" argument. He then watched Syen and Haylie run down the aisle, happy as clams. "I'm sorry too...." he said for the millionth time. He hoped this time it would get to her. James was about to head for his car, when he was interrupted by his daughter Jay-Lynn. She asked is he would walk her down the aisle next week. It just about melted his heart. "Of course I will Baby Girl. I would like nothing more." he said, hugging her and kissing her forehead. "Come on. I'll drive you to the reception." He said, leading her to his car.

When Jake walked over to where she was, she smiled brightly, even though she knew he was saying good-bye, and she was saddened about that, but she never seemed to be able to be depressed when she was around him. “I’ll see ya later hun,” she said and kissed him back. “I love you too,” she grinned giving him a quick hug before he left. She then turned back to her father, looking at him, her eyes filled with hope. She began to rock back and forth slightly; she was never able to stand still in one place for two long.

Her face brightened when he told her he would, she happily hugged him back and kissed his cheek, “I love you,” she whispered. She smiled when he told her he’d drive her to the reception, “Thanks, now I won’t be stuck here, since we all took the limo here,” she replied, laughing softly as she followed him to his car. She still felt bad about being so horrible to him lately, but she still wasn’t ready to say anything about it. “So…how have you been lately?” She asked awkwardly. She wasn’t sure what else to say, but she knew if she didn’t say anything at all, she’d feel extremely awkward.

Haylie's face slowly turned from confusion to pure amazement. "Oh. My. God. What? We're going to Egypt?" she yelled. She then fell back and placed her head in Syen's lap. "Your amazing" she said looking up at him. She was married, having twins, and now going to Egypt. Now her life was really complete. she lifted her head up to kiss him.

Smiling he knew she would freak out like this, she always wanted to go to Egypt, and she was going with him. Leaning down he kissed her passionately. Breaking the kiss to say something he thought it could wait but said it anyways. " I'm ninja..." Saying that as he kissed her again and again, more passion in kiss than the last. Then he felt the limo stop.

James got behind the wheel of his car and invited his daughter to join him in the passenger's seat. He was grateful for the time with his daughter. Even though they lived under the same roof, they both had such busy schedules, they hardly saw each other. "I'm doing fine, things are a busy at the hospital, as usual, but I like the hectic-ness; it keeps my mind off stuff." James was a surgeon at the local hospital. He loved his job, but it often kept him away from his family. "So. Are you excited for your wedding?" he asked her. Talking might have been awkward, but the silence was even more awkward.

Haylie's face turned back to confusion. He wasn't even drunk yet and he wasn't making any sense. "Your a WHAT?" she said. Then the limo stopped and she fell off his lap and onto the floor, but continued staring at him with a face of bewilderment. Either he was kidding and just being a goof-ball, or he had finally lost it.

Jay hopped into the passenger seat; she listened to what he said and smiled slightly, "I guess I get that from you," she responded, laughing a bit. Whenever she was feeling stressed out or depressed she would usually start large projects or try to work overtime; getting her mind off of whatever was bothering her always helped her solve her problems. When he asked her if she was excited about her own wedding, her face brightened and a wide smile appeared on her face, "I am beyond excited," she told him happily. "I'm tired of being a Rogers," she told him honestly. "Don't get me wrong I love you, but really not the best memories," she explained. She wanted him to know that she had nothing against him. She hated that he had cheated on her mom, but she knew it was a mistake and knew he was sorry for it. She respected him for staying and not moving across town; plus she knew he had also tried to get the family back together. "I'm ready to start a new life with Jake," she smiled.

James nodded. He too, hated the name. He had gotten it from his father, and by the time he could legally change it, he was already getting married. He had tried so hard to not be like his father, but in the end, he failed, and he hated himself for it. But he was trying so hard to glue the pieces of the broken vase into a mosaic. Not quite as good as it once was, but better than broken shards of ceramic. "I know, Sweetie, I love you too. Your mother and I loved eachother for a time, and what a wonderful time it was, but it wasn't meant to be forever. I'm just sorry it had to end that way. I just pray that you and Jake don't make the mistakes that we did. I think you two were meant for each other." he said smiling. He was happy for Jay-Lynn. She got to start with a new slate. He wished he was 20 again: to do things over. But where he was in life was his own fault so he just had to pick up the fallen pieces. James liked Jacob. Jake was a man who knew where he was going, and he loved Jay-Lynn. And that was what was important to James.

Syen laughed lightly. " I'm a ninja....... As in I rock or I kick a**......" Saying that as he leaned over and kissed her lightly while pulling her back up onto his lap. Breaking the kiss he placed his hand on her belly and smile. " Time to tell the world about them...." Saying that as he kissed her belly then her lips once again.

Haylie laughed. She too placed her hands on her stomach. It was time to get yelled at by her aunts and uncles, all who were extremely religious, and possibly even Syens parents. But she didn't care what they thought. Eventually they would forgive her and these two babies would be the most loved babies in all of the northern hemisphere. She kept one hand on her belly and placed the other arm around Syen's back. She kissed him and said. "You know it's tradition for the man to carry the woman into the reception?"

Smiling Syen kissed her back. " you know I will...." Saying that as he got out of the limo. Reaching back in he picked her up and kissed her passionately. Picking her up was easy he was always lifting heavy stuff that was four hundred pounds, and she was very lift. Breaking the kiss he looked ahead of them and kicked the door in and walked in.

Jay listened to what her father said and smiled brightly. “Thanks,” she replied happily. She had always believed that she and Jake were meant for each other as well and she knew Jake felt the same, but she liked hearing it from someone else. She was going to do everything in her power to make sure she wouldn’t end up like her parents. The girl pulled her legs to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. “Are we there yet?” She asked him, a small smile playing on her lips. She had always liked acting like she was a little kid, instead of twenty years old.

James smiled as he glanced over at his daughter. She was so cute when she acted like a little kid. It reminded him of years before when she was small and they were still one big happy family. "Yes." he replied as they turned another corner and he parked in the parking lot. He turned off the car, got out and ran to the passenger's door. He opened her door and held out his arm. "Seeing that neither of us has a date for this event, do you want to be mine?" he said smiling.

Haylie laughed as Syen picked her up. She put one arm around his back and one hand on her belly. She kissed him again after he kicked open the door. She smiled as she gazed at all of her family clapped and cheered. She then saw two chairs at the head of the table. She pointed to them and said "Put me down over there. We'll announce it once dinner gets started and we know everyone is here."

Syen nodded and headed over to their table. Setting her down on her chair he kissed her again and took hold of her hand as he sat down in his chair and looked out at all the people.
