- Jocelyn had been picking up little pieces of glass from a nearby vase that had fallen onto the floor and was now shattered in pieces. She was careful as to not hurt herself with the broken pieces of glass as she emptied them into a plastic bag she had found in the kitchen. Her green eyes fell upon her bandage hand and sighed softly as she remembered how Elvis had asked her frantically if anything happened to her. She had told him that she was just clumsy as usual and had tripped on a tree branch. Thinking about it now reminded her of how Mia used to react each time she had gotten hurt.
The first time was when Jocelyn was playing up in a tree because Kyle had gotten her kite stuck up in the tree. He had told her to forget it, but being the stubborn child she was she climbed up on the tree only to get stuck on a branch and missing the one she was going to climb up on making her lose her footing. Down the tree Jocelyn went only to hear Mia screaming for her to keep her eyes on her. Jocelyn was only six years old, but never did she forget that Mia was the one who was there to help her through the pain. Jocelyn ended up with a broken leg and Kyle got no dessert for a month. This was when Jocelyn had started to look up to her sister more as a model than just a sibling.
Ten years old and little Jocelyn was crying in the schoolyard after school. A little boy in her class had made fun of her pigtails and had cut them off saying it was an accident as they were pretend playing dress up and had blamed Jocelyn for telling him to cut off her hair since it was so ugly. Mia had found her as they were going to walk home together. So when sobbing little Jocelyn told her bigger sister Mia what had happened, well what did she do? Mia had beaten up the boy for Jocelyn and even though they both got into trouble it was well worth it as no one else had ever picked on Jocelyn ever again for the fear of being plummeted by her sister Mia.
Thirteen years old was a tough stage for Joce as she was in her rebellious stage against her parents. Sneaking out of the house, partying with friends and hanging out with the wrong crowd had cost her a few close friends and the closeness of her own siblings, but when Jocelyn ended up drunk at a friends house Mia had covered for her telling her parents that they were out and that she had given permission to Jocelyn to spend the night at a friends house. Of course they believed Mia as she wouldn’t dare tell a lie right? From that day on Jocelyn owed a great big dept to her sister for saving her behind even though she got an earful from her sister that day about responsibility and consequences.
Fourteen years old Jocelyn was heartbroken. She had just told her crush that she liked him and hoped he liked her back. It wasn’t like the fairytales that were read to her when she was young. Instead the boy had told her that he wouldn’t even touch her with a 10 foot pole. She had withdrawn herself from her friends and family that was until Mia came into the picture and asked her what was bugging her. When Jocelyn told her about what had happened Mia had gone to the kitchen and came back with a carton of ice cream and a chick flick. It had been nice knowing that even though she had her heart broken that her sister would always be there for her even through the toughest of times.
These were the memories that she had of her sister Amia as they grew close together as children, but drifted apart once they were older, but no matter she had loved her sister and continues to love her. Her thoughts were interrupted by a voice she knew all too perfectly well, Reagan. Oh, how stupid could she have been! Grayson was with Mia and if Mia was on her deathbed then that meant..oh dear lord! She covered her mouth as it dawned on her that her family wasn’t the only ones who were affected, but also the Matthews.
Slowly she removed her hand as if trying to pretend to cover up a yawn that had escaped her lips as her attention was now on the eldest sons of the Matthews, Reagan. Now that Grayson was gone then that meant that Reagan had been filing in the position for Alpha. Of course the Matthews knew that Jocelyn had learned about their secret only because Elvis had accepted that she should learn the truth of what he really was and not to be afraid. Of course she was afraid at first, but once looking into those beautiful eyes of his she knew that he was still inside the wolf that he shifted into which made such a relief as she accepted Elvis for who and what he was.
Listening to his earnest words as Reagan spoke to her family and herself that they were more than welcome to stay the night in their home. Of course Jocelyn would put up a fight to stay in this house as long as Amia was still here, this was where she would stay until she figured things out for her and her family. Though when her name was called out she looked up to lock eyes with Reagan as he told her that he would be in the kitchen if she were to look for him when her family decides on what to do. At this moment as she looked in between her siblings all she could see was the looks of sadness, determination and hatred. She didn’t need to have a discussion with her family, she knew the answer of what they would give her would be the same one she would choose as well.
Walking into the kitchen the smells of food cooking was in the air which made her stomach grumble in hunger. She had forgotten to eat that morning as she was worried about Ariana’s safety more than worrying about eating. Now that she knew where each person was she had let go of her own control and let her mouth water in waiting for the great taste of food, but her objective was not what was cooking, but the person who was now washing dishes. Picking up a nearby towel she started to dry each dish as she talked and worked at the same time as if this was a normal routine for both. “I’m sorry about Grayson and the position this puts you in. We will gladly take your hospitality and be out of your hair once I find out when we can bury my parents and Mia.” She bit down on her lower lip as she stopped for a moment as she looked at the plate in her hand. She had been holding in her emotions as she told herself that she could be like the boys. She could be tough and not shed a tear or wear her heart on her sleeve. At times Jocelyn was as cold as an ice box and at this moment she was struggling with herself to keep control from cracking under the pressure.

It felt weird. Even though I wasn't that much in trouble, I was still getting use to the fact that I was treated like a child instead of my real age. I didn't have any one of these little monster's running away, so their not really my responsibility. I hate it when our mom and dad get on or case about keeping up with the younger one's, hell, me and my dad literally snapping at each other, but of course, I got the last word. He was just mad about me not eating, and risking not only me, but the family for my own stubbornness. I wouldn't have left the house if it wasn't for Naomi and Oliver, which I'm getting sick of her running off. Yet again, she did take the wrap for everything, but she ran up into her room feeling ashamed. Well, she ******** should ! Other than Oliver, most of the s**t that happen today could have been easily avoid if she just listen for once. Stay in the house, what was so hard about that ? Yes, your hungry, everyone's hungry, but taking it upon your self and thinking you could handle the world when your only a pitiful grasshopper is not the way to do it. Oliver should just know better, though I feel like an idiot that Oliver had some sort of intelligence.
For now, I exiled everyone, even Jace, which I haven't seen in a while now, but figure he was around somewhere. What the hell was he all damn day was a better wonder. Whatever, I was done for the day. Though, I can't help but to not think about that Taylor boy. No one should be that nice to a vampire and no one in town is. It kind of took me for shock, I could have killed him, and he paid it no mind. It was like he knew I wasn't, that little ******** ! He was trying to test me ! Was he ? I don't know, but I know he helped me. Though, I helped him too, I healed that chick that was bleeding poodles, which was also a good reason to leave. Didn't want to really kill my savior, well, not until I get some more dirt on him. He didn't hesitate to mention Rebecca, which I don't understand why her name comes up in everything. I knew she was keeping thing's from us, but for her to be interacting with human ? She would have to tell him that our blood is a medicine, which was a dangerous thing to do, which meant she would have to trust him. I wonder how much information she really gave this boy, was it enough to risk our safety ? As much as I wanted to know Rebecca obeying forbidden rule's, I also wanted to know she wasn't dumb enough to tell some mortal everything about us.
I sighed, stole across my bed and twirling a curl of my hair with my finger's. I was bored, and as much as I wanted to do something, at the same time, I didn't want to leave the house. Somehow, something was just keeping back from going back outside. Now that I think about it, how about this day ? On a stranger note, my mind went straight to Elvis. What can I say ? The boy is adorable, and I'd admit, if he was human, I'd totally make him my b***h. He's already my b***h now, but it would be just more than our kind word's of love and respect. Though, dog's were dog's, and I'm don't fight dog's, I train them. Maybe when we finally become on top like we should be, I'd make him my pet, put in on a leach and everything. My eye's fluttered at that though, though I was interrupted by all the commotion outside. So, like the concerned person I was, I decided to take a look out of my window. My eyes shot at three people, and two of the people that were there I wasn't expecting. I was actually hoping that the dog's were trying to do something so we could pouched on each other, because obviously, I didn't get to have as much fun as I wanted too. " Is that a kid ? " I said to myself, "No way, that can't be her kid ! " Rebecca had kid's ? What a surprise, though, look where it's coming from, the oh so tough Sev. Long time no see from this guy, but I love it how he just decide's to show up after all the action as dulled down.
Of course, I had to get a closer look at this, So closed my window and certain's and made my way downstairs. My mother and father were already standing in the door way, both of them getting all sentimental and s**t. " Oh for [********] sake," I said under my breath. What is this s**t ? Is today just full of surprises with this girl. Of course, the Taylor thing was going to have to wait, the kid was blocking the though about the boy anyway's. I'm beginning to think that all day I was the only one that's thinking Logically. " Where the hell did these two come from ? " I looked up and my father, taking his eyes off the three outside and giving me his attention, " That's not important, the important thing is..." I didn't even let my father finished, because I knew what he was going to say. I just cut him off with this, " And where is mini tomato suppose to sleep ? And How are we suppose to feed another mouth when we could barley feed ourself !? " Her mother hissed at her, signaling her to shut up. Though she wanted to know, flipping her hair out of her face, she glared at the both of them until she got an answer, " Catherine could sleep with her mother, and she'll eat like everyone else does." Yeah, with the unlimited rabbit's just ******** hopping around here, really ?
Then I had to bring up Sev, just because. He leave's for ******** year's and just pop's up whenever he want's too. I hope they weren't going to invite him in too like it was fine and dandy. " And what about the Franco reject over there ?, where is he suppose to sleep ? " Her mother snapped her back back down on me, getting irritated. Damn right, I wanted answered, the kid I could deal with, but I'm not going to put up with some a*****e that got it locked in his head that he was tough. ******** him ! If he think's that one hair on my body is raising from the sigh of him then he's as dumb as he look's. My mother or father didn't answer, instead, they embraced the moment with Becca and her daughter. " What the ******** ever, just keep them out of my room." I snared, stopping back up the stair's. The nerve of these people, sometime's, I can just do better on my own. As much as I wanted to take that on, there was always something holding me back here. I can't explain it, but something. Sooner or later, I knew it was going to wear off, and when It does, I kicking the front door open and walking out.

- Okay, so obviously I screwed up here. I mean, how the hell was I supposed to guess she was dead set on attacking the wolf pup? I thought she was having one of her weird quirks so I figured I might as well take advantage of it. And as I suspected, Rebecca was pissed off. So dramatic. I cast her look as if to question her reaction then turned my head as my little sister cried out for help. Dammit. "Lay off her will ya, Matthews!" Useless to scream at a messed up furball from twenty feet away, but might as well give it a shot right? Glancing at my sister, I sensed that there was someone watching us from the shadows. A darkness radiating from one of the trees. I squinted a little trying to catch a glimpse of this mystery stalker, but turned my attention back to the scene. My wandering eyes snapping at the female wolf. Morgan. One of the two Matthews girls that coincidentally drove me bonkers. Morgan was sassy and independent. Her younger sister Juliette was kind and motherly. Each girl possessed a quality that I could not overlook. There was simply something all too enticing about them and I would love to find out just why that is. Sure, Morgan is a tad older looking than I am, but if people knew the truth, I'm technically older than her. And Juliette was completely out of my league, for a wolf anyway. Oh just think of the look on both their brothers' faces if I managed to get alone with one of them. Hm, might not be that bad of an idea actually.
Snapping back to reality, I jaw-dropped as the Keith confronted Gabe, but what stunned me more was that Naomi was just sitting there like an idiot. Run! I shouted, "Get out of there, Nay!" I snapped once more. Why the hell won't she listen? Shaking my head, I scratched the back of my neck then screamed "Naomi! Come. Here. Now." Finally, I got through to her. I was a little surprised she went running to Becca rather than me. Not to mention a little hurt. But all that matters is that she was alright otherwise I would be dead right about now. "See Becca, she's fine.." I reassured her, patting my little sister's head. Naomi turned her head, glaring at me "No thanks to you, jerk. I could've been ripped apart!" she hissed then whined to Becca about going home. Do you believe this? First she leaves home without permission, I ******** provided her a hot lunch and we got to toy around with the mutts for a change. I gave her the best day ever and this is how she thanked me? This just..sucked! I sighed in defeat then ran to catch up with them "Come on, girls. I didn't think they would take her seriously. And she's perfectly fine, though you smell like one of them. We gotta get you cleaned up, Shorty," I laughed lightly. That narly stench on her clothes was just plain nasty. Good thing oxygen is no longer a necessity for me.
Moving along~
I remained quiet during the short walk back to the house. The girls were annoying the hell out of me. And Jace, well, I really don't want to go there. You know, for an older brother, he acts more like he's a superior being and that I should be kissing his a**. Still, I'd rather do that than deal with the bitches of the house. Coming to the front of the house, I stopped as 'daddy dearest' decided to grace us all with his presence. Oh goodie. I resented Alec. A lot in fact. He was always on my case all because his oh-so-angelic wife couldn't shut her effing mouth. I wish for once her instincts would lack so I could actually get away with something for once around this pathetic dump. Alec tensed up a little as he informed us all to go inside. Oh great. Another Lennox family meeting. What was this? The fifth time in two days or something. Mom and Pops should pace themselves. Casting my vision downward, I shoved past the others and slipped by Alec, just in time to hear my little sister playing the 'blame game'. "Oh yeah because everything around here is always my doing. Some family you all turned out to be." I said emotionlessly, hopping over the back of one of the leather chairs and sat down. "That will be enough, Oliver. No one is blaming you for your little sister's rebellion. However, that does not get you off the hook for your behavior now sit."
Just shortly after that, Alec went off on my sisters. He sounded as if he had to choose his words carefully. Probably didn't want to look like an a** in front of Miranda. He's so whipped, it's ridiculous. "And what about you, Oliver?" Oh lookie, the tables have turned. Let's see what Dad's got in store for me shall we? Curious, I leaned a little off the chair, resting my hand beneath my chin. Too bad no one made any popcorn. We might be here for a while, boys and girls. "You had no right to subject your sister to the dangers lurking around out there. It was selfish. It was irresponsible. It was--" "Exactly what she needs, you mean.." I chimed in. I could see and hear what my siblings were thinking, but I didn't care. I need to butt in while I could. "Think about it, Dad. If you want us 'weaklings' to earn our ranks with the top dogs around here then I thought it would be best to give Naomi a little insight towards what she'll be having to deal with the rest of her life here." Surprisingly, Alec seemed to agree with me "Yes, but you are the last person to train her when you are still learning yourself, Oliver. If it wasn't for Becca and the others moving in to protect you both--" I threw back my head in laughter "Protecting us? That's funny considering they threatened us more than the flea-ridden mutts did. Not that you would know. You think you have this perfect family, Alec, when you know we're all just one moment from ripping eachother apart." Alec zoomed up to me, grabbing my shirt collar "You never talk like that again, my son. Do you hear me? Never!" I glared at him and then of course, Naomi had to play the drama queen and get all emotional.
After she left, I shoved Alec away then retreated to my room as well. I slammed the door behind me, nearly taking the hinges off with it. Dark thoughts filtered my head as I paced up and down my bedroom floor. I was angry with the lot of them and for different reasons. Not just for what happened today, but for a lot of things. When I first came to live with the Lennox's, I hung around Sevastian mostly. Alec was always trying to push me onto Jace, but that only pissed Sev off which pissed me off. I looked up to Sevastian. He taught me a lot. But of course, Alec pushed him over the edge and he disappeared. And like an idiot, I never went after him. I think if I ever had the chance, I would walk out of here and go look for my missing brother. Wonder what had become of him after all these years. Then my memories snapped to Rebekah, my former girlfriend, ex-fiancee, ex-tragedy; I have a lot of nicknames for that one. Honestly, I have no idea why I ever liked her in the first place. Maybe it was the way she acted around me, full of lust and desire. Always finding ways of seducing me long enough to where I'd give in to whatever she needed or wanted. I guess I just liked the attention. But she fooled me, letting me think that she was only interested in just one man when she was really seeing three others. So what else could I do but make myself disappear? I doubt she missed me. She was probably glad to get rid of me for all I know. Good riddens.
Now perched on the edge of my bed, I didn't bother to pay Jace any mind while he blocked my only exit. Hering his 'request', I replied with a sarcastic thumbs up then frowned at him Come here to b***h at me too? Save yourself the breath. I could care less what you have to say.. My thought failed for he was over by the window, lifting the latch then the window itself. He climbed out, calling up to me. What part of 'I don't care' did he not understand? Must I spell it out for my brother? Well, if he insisted. Shifting over to the window I looked outside. My dark eyes fell on Jace, as he vanished into the woods. Gee, thanks for waiting. b*****d. I shook my head, beginning to close the window when I spotted a male and two females approaching the house. Wait a minute, was that-- no, I must be seeing things. With a sigh, I reluctantly leaned out the window and jumped out, landing with no effort to it. I straightened my shirt then took off after Jace. I followed the trail of torn up snowy mush that led to where he now stood, looking off in the distance. I had the idea of stoning him with snowballs, but knowing him, he would already be a step ahead of me. "Look, I know I messed up alright, so spare me the lecture. I've had about enough today and I'm starving.." I growled. I could really use a pick-me-up right about now. That better be why we're out here in the first place. "Where did you disappear off to while I was dealing with the estrogen twins, hmn? I swear I've never seen Becca and Venus so pissed off before. It felt great!" I chuckled, standing next to him. Why do I feel a lecture coming on?

- This day had to be the most utterly bizarre day of my life. Well, maybe not most utterly since the day of my first transformation was completely BONKERS (I like using those type of words, ya know. Makes me feel cool.); but, this day fits pretty close to it. I don’t even know where to begin! From the morning, I woke up to Elvis honking an annoying air horn and poured Arctic cold water on me. “Wake up, you little s**t. It’s time to train so you’ll lose those man-titties and grow some real muscles. Hurry up, be downstairs in twenty seconds.” He left me there in my bed drenched in freezing water, bucket over my head, and feeling insecure with myself. Yeah! JERK. But that was not all of it. After stumbling around my room for clothes and jumped over steps on the stairs to make it before the twenty second, I was greeted by a solid fist to the face which caused me to hit the wall next to me and knock over some family portraits. Did it hurt? Nope, not at all and if Elvis tells you that I was crying, then you tell him that he is a DAMN liar (sniffsnifftear). The punch was a trigger to get me into my wolf form and chase Elvis out into the woods. From there, we did our training.
It was nearing afternoon when Reagan had given orders to patrol the woods due to the Taylor incident the other night. That was when it happened and I say IT because I still have no idea what to call it. Elvis had left me to fight off two vampires; boy leech and girl leech. At first, I felt confident. I had a couple of one on one with Elvis, Reagan, Morgan, and Gabriel. I believed I had put up a good fight against them; however, when I caught up to these leeches, it was like I froze up. I was able to hear Elvis’ thoughts about vengeance and how he was determined to get it on the Lennox children, but how did we know it was the Lennox children who killed Jocelyn and Ariana’s parents? Girl Leech didn’t even look harmless. I was ordered to chase after the youngest Lennox after she escaped from my brothers. I felt like I could handle her, so I did. Plus she was cute too, so why not? I still couldn’t understand why my siblings were suddenly pointing fingers. As I chased after her, I was able to feel the emotions that polluted the forest air: hatred, vengeance, disgust, frustration, and upset. VENGEANCE and HATRED practically smelled the worst; however, unlike my siblings who had motives to feel that way, I didn’t. I couldn’t rip Girl Leech’s head off when I finally cornered her. Instead, I imprinted on her.
Yup.
I imprinted on a vampire. What the ********. I always thought I was going to imprint on Sarah Blake, this really hot cheerleader from school, or well at least I hoped. It was weird. Even though I was being told to kill her, I felt the need to protect her, especially when Beau attacked her. I just snapped. I look up to Gabriel, but when he tackled Naomi to the ground, I felt myself be pulled, almost thrown, at him. The hateful emotions had suddenly gone into confusion and bewilderment. Honestly, I was scared that they were going to find out that I had imprinted on a vampire. Why else would I have turned wolf and take on Gabriel? “Finally. I want to go home. This whole patrol thing of yours sucked. Beavis and Butthead should be on any minute now. I don’t want to miss it.” This seemed to work. My siblings bought my distraction and finally allowed the leeches to leave. I watched Naomi disappear into the woods before I did too.
---
Not far from home now, my siblings and I walked with the Taylors through the woods. I was a bit disappointed since I wanted go with Reagan, but he had continued on head of us when we stopped by at the church. Also, I was trying my best not to limp due to the wound on my left ankle thanks to SOMEONE’S stupid arrow. Elvis’ orders. Something about if I limp, then Ariana will ask why and where I got the wound. Whatever. He swears like Ariana is THAT smart. My eyes shot to the Taylor girl who was walking with Gabriel in front of me. Her arrows rested in the pack hanging down from her shoulder. Those arrows will soon be broken. As for now, I felt my stomach growl. “I’m soooo hungry!” I whined and held my poor starving tummy. “Haven’t ate. Would have if someone would have given me more than twenty seconds.” I shot my eyes at Elvis. He pretended like I wasn’t talking about him. I continued to rub my stomach. ”I could eat a moose and a deer with maybe three rabbits.” My mouth just watered at the thought. My senses picked up a moose nearby, but lost it when Elvis poked me with his elbow. I mentally groaned, “But unfortunately I can’t because eating a moose and a deer with three rabbits is totally un-human. … So how ‘bout some pizza?”
If I was in wolf form, you’d see a tail wagging while I jogged up to Gabriel, nearly falling due to the wound, and pleaded with him to buy me some pizza. Reagan’s scent became stronger and I was thrilled since I had another person to go beg for a pizza to; however, before I was able to head up to Rea, everyone froze in their spots. Something was wrong and I knew my siblings felt it too. The air was chill and tense and I could hear Reagan thoughts. They weren’t good thoughts. Gabriel was the first to sprint towards the house, and then all the Matthews followed. “Maw-Maw!” I called out when I spotted her on the porch. I ignored the stinging pain on my ankle as I leaped over the stoop and stood by my mother’s side. Concern took over me as I placed my hands in hers and looked at her, “Maw-Maw, are you okay? Did something happen to you? You’re not hurt are you?” I asked more worried than she was. I didn’t listen to her reassuring words and continued to search for scars, wounds, blood, anything that looked like an injury on her. “Maw-Maw, what happened?” Everyone was brought inside and when we stepped in, it was like we received a solid punch to the gut by an invisible force.
The house, my home, was completely destroyed. Walls were scratched up; the furniture was ripped apart, and glasses everywhere. My jaw dropped in horror. “Who…?” I couldn’t even finish since the words became stuck in my throat and I nearly choked. My attention drew back to my mom. By the look of the damage in the house, I couldn’t tell if my mom was hiding injuries to keep us calm. “Maw-Maw, are you sure whoever did this didn’t hurt you?” I asked while my brothers screamed for answers. Hatred and vengeance began to pollute the air again. Gabriel and the rest had gone down the hall. I tried to follow them, but Maw-Maw and Juls kept me from doing so. “Oh come on! What’s going on? Maw-Maw? Where’s Grayson? He should have been here.”

WENDY'S ( :.
- The platinum blond female chewed on her bottom lip as she caught a glance of Jocelyn dragging her sister out onto the porch. There went the peace between the females. Juls felt a small sigh slip out from her coral lips before she heard an angered voice. Not just any voice but the voice of Reagan, her oldest brother and formally their pack leader. “Juliett!! Where are you!?!” He called as she heard his footsteps approach the kitchen. She had sneaked back inside after offering water and food to the Taylor siblings. “Juls, I need to talk to you in Dad’s study. Now.” His firm voice called from behind her. Juliett cleared her throat.
She knew she was in no trouble, but his voice held no mercy. He wasn’t asking her – he was ordering her as the Alpha Male. Juliett wouldn’t dare refuse and order, but she was never one to say no. It was hard for her to tell others no and often she was the good child, carrying out the orders that were given. She held her high held high as she made her way to dad’s study room. Once in the office she braced herself for his next words; her muscles rigid. She wasn’t sure what to expect, especially if Rea decided to unleash his anger on her. She didn’t make it home fast enough to protect their mother…because she was too busy napping. Therefore, she had been disobedient. Even the best behaved one in the family could sometimes have edges of contravene in her blood. She softened as she felt Reagan embrace her in his arms. Feeling his lips on the top of her head she let out a sigh of relief. The feeling of protection soon overcame her. “I’m okay, but mum got hurt.” “What happened her?” Rea asked.
There was no need to tell him she was napping, right? Most of her siblings knew of her fondness of snuggling up against anything and anyone, usually her siblings. The act of finding comfort against her siblings often labeled her to seem much younger than she was, but her words were quite mature for her age. “Uhm…Well, when I got home, the fight was already over, and mum was trying to clean up Mia…I don’t know who was here, and Mum wouldn’t tell me.” Juls said, peering her light green eyes up at Reagan. She straightened her back, as her brother’s stare bore into the back of her skull. She felt an order coming up.
She nodded her head throughout his statements. Keeping the Taylor’s here and together seemed like a very demanding job. “Okay Rea. Talk to you soon alright?” Juls said with a nod. She wouldn’t tell her brother how she was really feeling, because she knew she could handle anything, at least…she hoped so. She watched Reagan walk away, probably after Gabe. Juliett pushed aside the pain pulling at her heart. Grayson..Was no longer here. That thoughts were too impacting, but she knew he must have fought to the death, especially because he was probably protecting Mia. Though, she wanted to blame the Taylor’s for being the cause of the problem she knew much better than that. She would not bring herself down and low in the hunger for vengeance.
Juliett stood in the hallway as Morgan passed her. Juls smiled back, just the corners of her mouth lifted. The thoughts of Grayson had left her in no mood for a full, heart-filled smile, but if one were to see her now they would never know the cause of her grief. Juliett learned at a young age how to smile even if her world was crumbling. Juls gave her sister a nod, knowing Morgan was very torn at the events taking place.
Reagan was back and talking. Giving orders and taking control of the situation. It was odd, with him calling mom Karen. She never knew why he did that, but he was much older than her, so that had to be a reason. Right? Rubbish thoughts poured around her mind; she just couldn’t get a grip on reality. She completely made herself oblivious to what was happening around her as she grabbed a towel and dusted the ceiling debris off the items in their home. She peeled off the wallpaper. “It’s time for a new one anyway,” She said mainly to herself. It wasn’t until she picked up the armchair and moved it before she realized that the Taylor's gaze might be lingering. “I’m stronger than I look,” She said with a nervous laugh, hoping none of the Taylor’s would think too much about her strength. She hated to even think the thoughts, but they were probably too busy mourning over their sister’s death for them to even notice. It wouldn’t be until she was alone would Juls mourn her lost brother. It was no use to let defenses down in front of others when they needed the most help at the moment.
Mum and Juls had done a good job keeping Keith from being too nosy, but it was about time he knew as well. Juls finished sweeping before she found her brother asking for answers. Readjusting her coat she shot Keith a warm smile before pulling him into an embrace. She was the youngest daughter but Keith was the youngest of them all. “I can’t and don’t know much of what is going on, KeiKei,” She said using the nickname she had often called him by from when they were younger. “You know Reagan will fill us in when we have our..family meeting,” Juls said keeping her voice low. Not that she had to speak very long. Letting her brother go she smiled at him. He wasn’t that much taller than her, in fact with heels on they were the same height. So, Juliett was the shortest out of all her siblings, but no one minded, especially because she was the fastest.
“I came home and the home was in a mess. Mom tried defending her best, but she was outnumbered. Plus mum isn’t the …” She let her voice trail off. Though her mother might be a werewolf as the rest of them she was also aging and aging could also affect one’s fighting ability. “We lost Gray, Keith,” Juls said holding her head high, making sure her voice would not choke. If she were to choke than that wouldn’t be a good example for her younger brother. She looked out for Keith; he was dear to her. “He did his best protecting our family and Amia. We must repay him back with keeping our bond and strength well woven together,” Juliett said her green eyes scanning her brothers face for any sign of anger or discomfort. “We cannot act on anger, right?” Juliett said leaning forward to place a kiss on her fair-head brother’s cheek. It wasn’t until she neared him did her nose crinkle. “What’s that smell?” Juliett asked letting her eyes scan down to Keith’s leg. “Left ankle in some pain, KeiKei?” Juls asked with a small smile.
Juliett was quick to pinpoint wounds on others.
“What trouble did you get yourself into now?” Juls said with a playful sigh. She was trying to add a bit humor to their darkened home. It needed some light and she wasn’t just talking about her bright white hair. “Sit,” She commanded Keith, pointing to the armchair she had just moved. “I’ll go get the first aid kit,” Juls said disappearing down the hallway. Werewolves healed quickly and she didn’t even have to bother with the wound, but extra precautions wouldn’t hurt and humans were now going to be living in their home. They just couldn’t flaunt their werewolf abilities.
Re-emerging she pulled a step seat to sit down on and propped Keith’s left ankle on her leg. Rolling up the leg of his pant she observed the wound. It wasn’t anything big. “Just a graze,” She said with relief. “Looks like from something sharp and with a tip,” Juls noticed. Wasn’t Ariana out in the woods today? “You know what happened, right?” Juliett asked looking up at her brother.
She listened to him talk as she worked swiftly and quickly opening up a bottle. “This might sting a little,” Juls said, holding back a chuckle. She didn’t get to work as a nurse on her siblings, because there really wasn’t a need for such medicine. “Almost done,” She said smearing disinfectant gel on the wound and wrapping it up with gauze. “All done.” She said lowering his foot and putting the contents back into the kit. She placed the kit under the coffee table; it might be needed in the future. “Hungry?” Juls asked Keith as she smelled the aroma coming from the kitchen. “Help me, Keith,” Juls said lowering her voice. “Rea said we must keep the Taylors here,” Juliett said her green eyes not lifting from Keith’s eyes.

- Elvis shouted out to Jocelyn as she left him and vanished behind the trees. Where was she going? Didn’t he just tell her that the woods were dangerous at the moment? “Jocelyn, wait!” The young, golden haired man called out to her once more. He felt himself be pulled like a magnet to her, but was immediately stopped. In front of him stood.. something. What once used to be a scary looking little blonde girl was now a scarier looking woman with grilsed claw like hands. “What the ******** are you?” Elvis growled at her. A harpie? Harpies didn’t smell like leeches. They smelled worse like too much perfume mixed with bird s**t. She snarled back at him, her voice hurting his ears since it was far too similar to nails on a chalkboard. Elvis dared to move, but she swung at him. He leaped back. His feet left the ground for a split second and when they touched the ground once more, his feet had turned into paws. With sharp teeth bared, Elvis pounced at her. Of course, he missed. She moved over to the other side and gave Elvis the door to escape. He grinned and darted after Jocelyn.
It wasn’t long until he was able to pick up her scent again. That warm feeling inside grew as he approached closer to the Taylor house. Seeing the house again gave off the same vibes he felt when on his jog through the woods; another peaceful place gone disturbed. Only tender memories were left behind. Emotions turned upsetting and no matter how much Elvis wanted to turn back around and hunt down the monster that murdered Jocelyn’s parents, she needed him. There was no time for vengeance when his girlfriend was feeling distressed. He vowed to protect her and that was what he was going to do. The golden wolf walked up and entered the house. The police had cleaned up the house, but he could still smell the dry blood and malice. His ears twitched when he heard footsteps coming out of the Taylor house. It was Jocelyn. She let out a scream when she saw him; however, she quickly covered her mouth and fell on her knees. Elvis bumped his head against hers, trying to reassure her. With her arms wrapped around his neck, she continued to sob. “Shhh..it’s alright Joce. Are you alright? Come on, we need to go.” Elvis whispered soothingly after he morphed back into his human form. He lifted her up bridal style in his arms before the two headed out away from the Taylor house.
As the two moved through the woods in quiet peacefulness, orders were being sent out telepathically by Reagan. The Matthews were to meet back at their house after they gathered up all the Taylors. Elvis and Jocelyn made it to the Cathedral at the same time the rest had to pick up the remaining Taylors. Kyle and Ariana were with Gabriel, Morgan, and Keith; therefore, that only left Mia, Nathan, and little Taylor. However, only the youngest Taylors were found in the church. Mia had gone off somewhere with Grayson. Typical Taylor. What couldn’t they just stay put? Elvis sighed before he and Jocelyn linked hands once more and followed the group to the Matthew house. At least Mia was with Grayson. She should be fine with him since she was his imprintee and all.
Another stroll into the woods with the Matthews and Taylors. Elvis listened to the conversations the two families traded among each other while he walked with Jocelyn in a peaceful state. His best friend, Nathan, walked along beside him as well. The boy was usually a kept to himself type, but Elvis worried that he was too quiet this time and he wasn’t walking, Nate was actually just staggering along. “Hey man, you alright?” Elvis patted the boy’s shoulder. “Yeah.” It was all he received back. He looked at him closely. It was cold with snow and Nathan wore no sweater. He had a white, long sleeved dress shirt, but the sleeves were rolled up to his ankles. His hands were in his pockets. “You’re not cold?” Elvis asked. “Nah.” Another short reply. Elvis sent a glance to Jocelyn. He wasn’t able to read his mind since Nathan wasn’t a wolf; therefore, emotions were the only thing left to read a human. Since Nate was Elvis’ best friend, it was only obvious that he would know everything from him being a werewolf to him imprinting on his sister and werewolves not being the only mythical creatures in town. Elvis told him everything and how everything worked. As a result, Nathan knew too much to the point where he was able to hide his emotions and block Elvis from figuring him out. All Elvis got from Nathan at the moment was pure blank.
“I’m soooo hungry!” Elvis looked away from Nathan and up ahead. They were growing closer to the Matthew den. “Haven’t ate. Would have if someone would have given me more than twenty seconds.” The middle Matthew tried his best not to smirk and acted as if Keith wasn’t talking about him. He merely turned to Jocelyn and poked her cheek with his nose playfully. ”I could eat a moose and a deer with maybe three rabbits.” Elvis had to admit, that did sound good even when he had the chance to eat before waking Keith up for training. However, this idiot always seemed to forget to act human in front of humans and not some furry hungry beast. Elvis poked the youngest Matthew with his elbow. Dork! He growled at him mentally. Keith rolled his eyes and sighed softly. “But unfortunately I can’t because eating a moose and a deer with three rabbits is totally un-human. … So how ‘bout some pizza?” He watched as Keith jogged up to Gabriel and begged for food like the starving puppy that he was.
Right in front of their home, everything fell dead. The words ALERT and DANGER kept popping in his mind in big letters. His eyes shot open and went off in a run to his house. He made it up the porch behind Gabriel and Morgan. “Maw-Maw, are you okay? Did something happen to you? You’re not hurt are you?” Keith had caught up, but Elvis was already inside. He did worry about his mother, but the woman wouldn’t allow showing any distress in her; therefore, he didn’t see a point to check up on her. Elvis entered the house and like all the Matthews, his jaw dropped. Everything was destroyed: furniture, walls, and family photos. The smell of blood and bleach filled his nostrils. He remembered his mom telling Gabriel that she had cleaned up a majority of the mess. What was the majority? Elvis glanced at his mom when she asked for them to wait in the kitchen and only allowed Reagan, Morgan, and Gabriel to follow her. Such bullshit. He hated that he wasn’t included. He had every right to hear whatever she had to say to them. Elvis followed anyway.
Nausea plagued the hallway as the siblings followed their mother. He could feel Gabriel grow sick and it made him want to puke too. There was something trying to push him back into the kitchen, something dreadful. It smelled like death. The smell spilled out of the guest room once Maw-Maw opened the door. He gasped at the sight of a pale and lifeless Amia on the bed. Horror fit him and Jocelyn popped in his mind. First her parents, now her sister? He stood outside the guest room. His mind pondered for words on how to tell Jocelyn. He only stopped when he noticed Ariana had escaped from the kitchen and into the hallway. “Ari—“ Elvis whispered. He tried to block her from the guest room, but felt too weak to. She walked pass him and entered. The Taylors followed after. His ears twitched when he heard Gabriel ask for Grayson. Horror only seemed to slap him across the face when his mom replied that he was gone too. “What.” Elvis spat out. There was too much emotions bouncing off the walls and he could only feel the room spin. It caused him to sprint out of the house and collide with the railing of the porch. He leaned forward right then all his insides spilled out of his mouth. That cereal that he had in the morning poured over the flower patch that bordered the porch.
It was like what happened to Pops all over again. Elvis was all tough, but when death of someone close came around, he had a weak stomach for it. He puked once more before he tried to calm down. Grayson was gone? How the ******** was that possible? Grayson was the best fighter Elvis knew. He got his moves from Grayson! He was Rocky Balboa. Elvis spat the taste of vomit out of his mouth before he wiped himself on the sleeve of his black hoodie. Anger began to boil in the house. Elvis looked to his left to see Gabriel had burst out of the house. “Where the ******** are you off to?” He called out in all the anger that was rebuilding the Matthew house. Everyone was being forced to stay, why the hell did Gabriel always think that rule never applied to him? Ariana had popped up on the porch as well. Elvis left the two lovebirds and entered the kitchen. He grabbed a water bottle and rinsed his mouth.
His eyes fell on Jocelyn who was helping clean the house. Elvis sighed. What selfish jerk he was. Here he was eating up the anger and vengeance while ignoring the one person that needed him the most. He ran a hand through his blonde hair before he turned to walk towards her. She was so strong. Elvis often found himself wondering where she got it from. He bit his lip before thinking of words to say. It was hard to think at the moment. “You can sleep in my room, if you want.” He told Jocelyn and Nathan, who so happened to walk by. “Erm, we should eat.”

- Stepping into the house, Gabe rolled his eyes, mentally tutting at the two Taylor girls while they shared a 'creative' discussion that was loud enough to wake the dead. Oh, too early? Scratch that. He watched them for a moment, studying their tones carefully. And the longer he stood there, the more he wanted to butt in. However, this was really none of his business. Shaking his head, he sighed then went to the kitchen for some water. His mouth was dry and he was feeling somewhat dehydrated. He remembered when Gray and Reagan took him out for one of his first training sessions. They kept telling him to keep himself hydrated, but Gabe was a stubborn 'pup'. He ignored their 'brotherly' advice and sure enough, the then fifteen year old, passed out in the middle of a twenty mile run. Now he rarely left without filling up on liquids before a long day. Opening the fridge, Gabe glanced past his shoulder when he caught a flash of platinum hair belonging to none other than his younger sister, Juliette whom was followed by Keith. The two of them were like two peas in a pod. He chuckled to himself, reaching in the back of the top shelf for a bottle of water then gently shut the door. Can't tell you how many times the doors in this house had to be re-constructed around here. It's amazing they all weren't throwing fits or....phasing and running away. I mean, how could Gabe be so damn calm right now? His brother was dead. His imprintee was also gone. His mother was injured. Oh! Now it comes. The anger. The pain. It was just growing and growing and--
Beau suddenly felt himself being lead out of the house by an angry brunette. Arianna. He glared at the back of her head, about ready to lash out, but something inside him told him to shut up. That husky voice that sounded an awful like the brother he now had no connection with. Course, it could be Reagan too. He couldn't really tell. Closing his eyes as they came to a stop, Gabe inhaled a breath, ignoring the prickling on the back of his neck. He cleared his throat, opening his mouth to speak up, but Ari had a better idea. “You can't do this to me, Gabriel. You can't go ******** do this to me. Not now,” Ariana said grabbing the collar of his shirt. Gabe was a little...surprised. Not to mention, he was turned on by this side of her. It was pretty sexy. He continued to let her speak without an interruption. Not that she gave him much of a chance to voice his opinion. “I know you’re keeping secrets and what not and I never once asked or pried into your life,” she paused. He watched her face and suddenly wondered to himself why the hell he wasn't acting this way. She was reacting in the right sense. Maybe that's the 'Matthews' in him. He just can't get pissed. Not on command anyway. “But, here you are with acting like the whole world is on your shoulders.” Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa what did she just say? Gabe's jaw dropped a little. Now that hurt. Gabe shut his eyes as the woman went on. The prickling was beginning to be unbearable. He needed to just walk away now before it got worse. He didn't want to hurt her. He would never want to hurt her. But sometimes, the whole 'wolf' thing gets to be unpredictable. He hit Morganonce, but that was completely by accident. He was pissed about something and when she tried to calm him down, Gabe...hit her. Oh yeah, it was bad. Very, very bad. Gray beat the s**t out of him for it too.
“You said things would be okay. Isn’t that what you told me? That and not to go into the woods,” Yeah, that's exactly what he said Arianna. Did you listen? No. Not once. “Well, guess what. Things seem to be taking a bad turn. I took a stroll in that lovely forest and I saw things. Things I can't imagine or describe.” Uh oh. Here it comes. The 'guilt' card. That little bit of wording that made Gabe feel like an a**. He knew it was coming sooner or later. Just not this quickly. “This person, thing, whatever the hell it is,” Gabe raised a brow. Let's go with..thing. Yeah, the 'thing'.. He bit his lip to keep from laughing. Not that he would be making fun of her. Gabe just laughed when he got nervous. Like he was right now. Pay attention idiot! Can't you see she's upset! You know, like you should be... he mentally scolded himself. “I put my trust in you and you’re keeping secrets from me! From my family. You’ll be lying if you told me you didn’t know who or what did this to my sister.” And there it is. Right on schedule. The guilt. “That’s my sister lying on that bed inside. I have,” she paused, banging her fist against his chest. He wobbled a little, but let her hit him. Why he did? He didn't know. He just let her. “Every damn right to know what’s going on!”
"Oh Ari.." he moaned, pulling her into a hug. If she squirmed, he held her closer. It just seemed to be what she needed. “Help me, Beau. I’m going to go insane.” Hm, she hasn't called him Beau in a while. They were always so formal with eachother. It was silly. Gabe kissed the top of her head, still holding her close. "You're right, Ari. About all of it," he whispered softly. "You have every right to be angry with me.." he paused, releasing her enough to where he was looking straight into two brown(?) spheres. "I've been keeping secrets, I'm not gonna lie to you about that. But Arianna, there are just some things you're better off not knowing...now wait alright..hear me out.." he paused, taking her hands in his in case she tried to punch him..again. "Do you ever notice how my hands are always this warm, even in weather like this?" he asked her, bringing her left hand to his cheek. "It's not normal is it?" Oh why was this so hard for him? Well, she did nearly kill him with those arrows. Speaking of those, Gabe slipped the straps of her shoulders, carefully removing her beloved weapons and set them down. If she complained, he simply ignored her. "Ari, you might find this hard to believe, but I was out there with you. Protecting you. I know it sounds crazy, but it's true. You just..didn't know it was me.."
He watched her face while waiting for it all to sink in. That's why I begged you not to go to the woods. And when I saw you there, I was angry. How could you not take my word for it? Those woods hold something far too big for you to take on all by yourself hence why Grayson told Amia to drag you all to the Cathedral in the first place because we knew you and Kyle would ignore our plea. Mia was trying to keep you all safe and no i'm not blaming you or anyone for this!" he shouted, then sighed "Sorry, I didn't mean to snap. I just-- Arianna I know this could be hard to understand, but I need you to trust me. That Oliver fellow who you came across is not who you think. He's dangerous, Ari. And there is more where he came from." Gabe scratched the back of his neck, nervously. Here he was, spilling his guts to the girl he's known since he was six years old within earshot of their families. His family anyway. "So, what I'm trying to say is that I was the wo--" his breath hitched, turning his attention towards the line of trees west of the house. Damn leeches have a death wish today? he growled, slipping his hands from Arianna's. "Ari..go inside..now and don't argue with me.." he ordered, motioning her towards the house. His mother was standing on the porch. "What is it, Gabe?" Karen asked, coming to Arianna's side. Gabe was beyond pissed right now. He couldn't answer her. "Get her inside. I'll deal with this.." he said, walking away from the house towards the trees. He wouldn't phase just yet. Reagan! Morgan! Get out here! The rest of you be smart and stay put. We don't need another Taylor getting curious. he told his siblings as his pace picked up.

I'll save your picture, and I'll keep this ring.
I'll carry your bags to the door if that's how it's gotta be.
But I'm gonna stay here so if you have to go home,
all that we've shared will live in my heart long after this moment is gone.
When I get too old to remember that's when I'll forget about you.
Love is a wind that blows through time and so, when my life is through
that's when I'll be too old to remember you.

- Reagan looked over as Jocelynn started to help dry the dishes he was washing. Smiling at her, he listened politely, and quietly, he dries his hands off and wraps them around Jocelynn's shoulders, pulling her into his chest and shoulders like he would one of his siblings. "You don't have to be strong for me Joce. I won't judge you for anything." He said softly, laying his head on top of hers, and staring out the window in the kitchen. He could remember a time when he and Gray had been so tight, and it was hard to believe that he was gone. There was a deep pain in his chest that was settling there like a hot coal and wouldn't leave his chest alone for the pain that it was causing. He wanted to cry, and he wanted to throw things around this kitchen and cause a mess, but it wouldn't be good for his rep here in the family for that to happen. "Ever since my father passed on, I never thought that I would take on the role as the oldest. Then when Grayson stepped down, I was kind of hit with it like a truck of bricks, and I didn't accept it for the longest time, because it's a lot of responsibility. And I thought he would come back. But now, it's up to me. If you ever need something, to talk, anything at all Jocelynn, you call me, or come see me. I will make time for you." He said softly to her, giving her a kiss on the top of her head. He released her as he heard Elvis approaching, and went back to his dishes.
Karen hadn't even batted an eyelash at her oldest son about what he was doing, because she did not know that it was not just Grayson that he was hurting about. It was also the fact that Becca had betrayed him (in his mind), and he felt bereft of his calm center. He needed the comfort from someone, even someone he didn't love. But he listened to his brother and gave a snort. "She most certainly will not stay in your room Elvis. She's going to sleep in a girl's room, not yours." He said, giving his brother a look that broke no argument. If Elvis did not like it, it was going to be too bloody bad. The memory of Grayson hit him hard, and he had to control his emotions for a moment.
"Ugh Gray what are you talking about!?" A then 17 year old Reagan asked his big brother. "Pops isn't going to let you have Karli over in your room. Come on now Rea. She can sleep over, but she'll have to be in the guest bedroom, and you'll HAVE to stay in your room after lights out." "But that's so stupid!" "Those are the rules Rea. If you are not married to them, you are not allowed to share a room with the girl." Reagan had huffed and puffed about it, but eventually knew that Grayson was right. There was no way that he was going to get the flame who held him at the moment into his room at night, even though he might want to. Being a gentleman always helped out in situations like this, according to Grayson, who was trying to get Amia to say yes to dating him.
"Okay Gray. I get it." He pulled himself out of the memory and watched his brother. He hoped that he was going to get the same response from Elvis that he had given to Grayson, but he wasn't sure, and it would have to wait as Gabe started to call for him. Reagan stood up straighter, and watched Gabe run for the woods. He stepped in close to Elvis and leaned down, to whisper in his ear. "Once I'm out those doors, get everyone inside and lock the doors. No one leaves till Grayson, Morgan and I get back. I'm trusting you Elvis, you're in charge. Don't abuse this trust I'm giving you." He said, before he tossed the dish towel on the counter and ran out the doors after Gabe. As soon as he hit the trees, he phased into the wolf he was. He quickly caught up to his brother. What's going on Gabe? Reagan though to his brother and then paced with him, merely following along, since he wasn't sure what was going on at the moment.

- Twinkling eyes stared straight ahead at the body in front of her face. The only reason her eyes twinkled is because of the threat of falling tears. She couldn't even look at Gabriel, let alone let him see the devastation in her eyes. Would he think of her as a weakling? Would this show him that she was unprepared to face the disaster that lay ahead? She knew life could be a b***h and take away her loved ones, but she just couldn’t face the fact that it was her Mia who was taken. Before she could stop herself, the helpless words of help slipped from her lips. It had taken her back; she was shivering now. Gabe spoke her name which seemed alien to her ears. She couldn’t understand her emotions.
From her peripheral vision she saw Gabe’s arms move and soon they encircle the slender woman as her head became buried in his chest. She tried to move away, because this form of comfort would only make her cry. She was sure of it, but his grip on her tightened. Eventually she stopped fighting and let herself melt in his arms, trying to focus on other thoughts instead of crying. If it weren’t for him her knees would have buckled by now. She felt the warmth of Gabriel radiating from his clothes and onto her skin. She hadn’t realized how cold she really was; how alone she felt and yet she had five—no four – siblings that loved her dearly as she loved them. She didn’t want to think and instead she focused on the feel of Gabriel’s arms around her…protecting her. Despite her mixed emotions of anger and sadness, a feeling of butterflies swept their way into her stomach. He was speaking again. His words incoherent to her mind, as she lost herself in her thoughts. He was saying something about her being right. Of course she was right. Most times she was. At least she thought so. Yet, she didn’t focus on his words. Instead her arms hang loosely by her sides, not feeling cold at all, even with the snow falling and the temperature dropping. Gabriel was here, holding her, giving her the warmth she needed. She could feel the thud of his heart so strong and close that it seemed to belong to the both of them.
The rush of cold winter air stung against her face as he pulled her away from him, instead staring into her eyes. She wanted to lose herself in his chocolate eyes. Her mind was numb. Look. A snowflake landed on his nose. but it wasn’t until he started speaking again did she remember the problem at hand. Her face flushed with anger as she pushed away her childish feelings. Of course you’ve been keeping secrets from me! About damn time you admitted it! She wanted to yell so badly, the words were right there on the tip of her tongue, but she held them in as he asked her to hear him out. She had her turn; it would only be fair for her to hold her lips shut. She felt her balled hands gently taken by his larger tanned hands, yet she kept her eyes glued to his own. Now he was asking her questions. A scoff type of laughter escaped her lips. “Course not. You’re always running a fever,” She muttered under her breath, as her left hand began to lift. At first the balled hand stayed curled in on the side of his face. Reluctantly she uncurled her fingers so her hand was cupping the side of his cheek. He was always warm, but she thought that was what made Gabriel…Gabriel. It’s probably why I wouldn’t mind cuddling up next to you on a cold winter day. Ari. Right now is not the time. Put the facts together. He’s throwing them right in your face. She chided herself.
“No it’s not norm—Whoa, Gabriel! What are you doing?” She spoke in a sharp tone as her crossbow and sheath of arrows slide from her shoulders. Her eyes glanced down at her weapons, but she tore her eyes away from her jewels to turn them back upon Gabriel. A bright blue flame sparking in her eyes. Those were hers! Gabe should know that by now, but the flame subsided as his next words left her speechless. “Protecting me?” She asked staring at him blankly putting together the pieces. Her eyes never once left him as her mind reeled on its own. Today in the woods, she had seen things yes, but the one thing that particularly caught her attention was the large wolf that landed on her…twice. It hadn’t tried to harm her at all – Kyle either. If the wolf had wanted too it could have bit her, tore at her, ate her for being in its territory. Last time she checked they were carnivores. The bottomless eyes she was staring into at that moment were the same pair that belonged to the wolf. “Y-You..” A loss for words as the expression on her face turned into one of surprise.
Here it came. A lecture. The thought made her skin prickle. It was kind of cute, though, to see Gabriel become so infuriated with Ariana disobeying orders. He should know by now that she wasn’t one to listen to others; exactly why she didn’t do well on teams that had captains. She bit her bottom lip from smiling or retorting with a witty remark. His voice grew with each sentence. Her eyes narrowed as his tone grew louder. “Don’t get pissy with me,” She retorted to him, right as he apologized for snapping. That was twice in one day that she had been told Oliver wasn’t normal. Neither was anyone in the Matthews’ family, especially not if she was suspecting Gabriel of being a…wolf. He was a furry creature, with four legs. Before she could stop herself laughter exploded from her coral lips. “Ahahah! You literally are crawling on all four legs!” She said, knowing she probably shouldn't have even opened her mouth, but it was hard not to laugh. With Mia’s death, her parents’ death, Gray’s death, finding out werewolves and vampires existed and Ari was asking for her own death wish wandering in the woods was just a lot of weight of…laughter. If she couldn't cope with her pain by crying she would find other ways to build her strength back up. “So. Let’s say. If I take a stroll into the woods,” Ari said nodding her head, trying to speak as he scratched the back of his neck. I wonder if he has an itch. Haha. Flea..bath. It's probably what he needs. “And if I might need you – not saying I will because I can handle myself.” Ari said her stubbornness evident in her voice. “Can I whistle for you?” Ari asked tilting her head to the side, her eyes wide with curiosity. “Sorry. Sorry,” She said holding her hands up in defeat. “That was uncalled for and now I’m just being rude,” She said noting the change of expression on his face.
What was with the aggressive look on his face? What was he angered by? His hands slipped from hers and the loneliness hit her like a ten foot wave. She didn’t want Gabriel to leave. Not yet. He was helping her…take her mind off things. The tone in his voice irritated her, again he was ordering her and he had no right to do so! Instead she felt the presence of Ms. Karen as she bent down to quickly retrieve her bow and arrow. Where you going? It didn’t help that Ari thought she could take on the world, even though the supernatural people were stronger than her she didn’t doubt her strength for a second. She aimed her arrow at the trees where Gabriel was walking into. Her eyes glaring into the back of his head. I hope you can feel my stare. She growled in her mind. Although her shirt was torn and she was probably going to get chided at by her family and his family, Gabriel knew better than to order her around.
She hesitated for a second taking a glance at Karen. The poor mother seemed so worn out. Giving her a sheepish smile and a shrug of her shoulders Ariana swung the rest of her sheath of arrows onto her back, tightening the strap and took off in a sprint to catch up with Gabriel. He’d hate her for this. “Where do you think you’re running too, just shouting orders and whatnot?” Ari asked as she paced herself behind Gabriel. Now was the time she could put all that training with her brother and swimming meets into use. “You do realize I am not part of your pack,” Ari said peering at Gabriel. “Don’t give me that bull crap that I’m too weak to be out here because whatever you say, you aren’t going to get rid of me,” She said. I hold your leash. She added silently in her mind, her lips pressed together. Gabriel wasn’t the only one hurt. Ari had to avenge her parents’ and sister’s deaths. If she died in the process, so be it. She wanted the satisfaction of at least having tried.
“I do have a question, though. Does this mean Reagan is the pack leader?” Ariana asked curiously, steadying her breathing. Reagan was the oldest now that..Grayson was no longer with them. Another…wolf..thing trailed along the other side of Beau. She figured it had to be Reagan, now that she was paying more attention..the wolf seemed…manly. “Do you have to take flea baths?” Ari asked, biting down on her lip to keep from talking anymore. She had to focus on the trees around her; prove to the Matthew boys that she could handle herself. She might not be able to keep up with the werewolves (at least that’s what she thought they were, now) if they took off in full speed, but she could climb the trees and perch herself there and shoot. With focus..it should be a breeze. She didn’t want to go back to Jocelyn…it might not end well. She pushed the thought away. She needed to check on Abigail, as soon as they made it back. Ari realized she hadn’t seen her mini-me since that morning.

- I TRY TO MAKE IT THROUGH MY LIFE, IN MY WAY, THERE’S YOU.
I TRY TO MAKE IT THROUGH THESE LIES, THAT’S ALL, I DO.
JUST DON’T DENY IT, JUST DON’T DENY IT, AND DEAL WITH IT, YEAH DEAL WITH IT.
YOU TRY TO BREAK ME, YOU WANNA BREAK ME, BIT BY BIT, THAT’S JUST PART OF IT.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Ah, fresh warm blood. It was only thing which could satisfy his hunger. He craved it now more than ever, more than anything. He missed the taste of it and at this time he didn’t even care if the next ‘thing’ that he fed on next was human, just so long as he could have it. Have something. Make it last. Feel better. The whole starvation thing that they had going on which was just to prove a point to the Matthews that they weren’t ‘murderers’ and that they didn’t harm the Taylor family’s parents was just stupid. Because deep down in the darkest of their un-beating hearts they were and always would be capable of murder, it was just natural pure instinct for them to feed and to kill, to drain one’s life to feel stronger. He knew that because he felt it, the permanent craving was there and it never left a vampire, it was empowering and the more that he felt the pull, the more that he began feeling that he was doing something wrong. He should be embracing it, and letting his deepest desires surface and take over. He should be unleashing his immense frustration onto those that enrage him. But alas, he wasn’t doing any such thing. He was being obedient and pathetic, following the rules of his older siblings and his ‘parents’ that were supposedly looking out for his well-being. It was obvious that, like he, they were also struggling with their hunger. It would be strange if they weren’t having trouble with it, because let’s face it blood to them was food, it was a necessity, and Khristoph Zachary Lennox, the youngest male in the family found it absolutely ridiculous that they had set themselves up to fail with this completely. They could have taken on the wolves that had threatened their whole family. Yet not now though, not while they were hungry and weak and trying to make sure that they had enough blood to last them so that they could survive.
In his eyes Khristoph and his siblings were much older and wiser, but now he wasn’t even sure that he could give them credit for being wiser than the wolves anymore. His life at the moment felt like a joke, but fine, ‘Let’s do it the hard way dearest brothers and sisters. Let’s see how long it takes before you realise that starving yourselves has achieved practically nothing.’ Khristoph felt so bitter about all of it. He wouldn’t have been so worked up over what the others were doing if he didn’t feel that his entire family were letting the wolves control everyone. Then naturally he was hungry and he never liked it when he couldn’t have what he wanted. He felt so deprived and so out of touch with the usual things that he loved. Oh, he was suffering over and over again, losing the ability to focus and fulfil. Each day felt longer, though time meant nothing to him. He started contemplating his very existence, the hours between each moment he had ‘food’ though the vials he was given never helped him. He felt like he could sleep forever, he assured himself that would except right now he needed to be alert. He needed to do... something, rather than lay fully clothed outstretched upon his bed staring aimlessly at the ceiling.
Then were the sounds and thoughts of others running through his mind, particularly his twin sis who was being a little bit more difficult today. Oh god, Naomi, she was worse than he was sometimes and sure he longed to help her, yet what good was he when couldn’t even help himself. Khristoph scowled as he sat up on his bed and listened further. He heard the foolish girl leaving and his instinct was to follow her and find out what she was up to. If she killed anyone then she’d be in deep trouble and he couldn’t have his favourite girl in trouble. Idiots, how could they let her leave? Khristoph growled loudly then cursed under his breath, “s**t.” It was times like this when he believed that he was surrounded by fools. ‘They must have gone soft due to their old age,’ He mused to himself with a light chuckle, his humour hiding the true pain and worry that he felt. He thought about the need for more blood and her hunger, believing that this must have been why she had left because it was probably too much.
‘This here is proof.’ He thought with another growl slipping from his lips, ‘This, this is just not right for a vampire. This is just not right for 'any' creature.’ Instead of causing a tantrum about it like he easily could have, Khristoph treated it like a test. He would play it like a game and he would beat it, yet like with any test he was setting himself up to fail. He knew that he couldn’t beat his way through anything until he fed right now. The feeling of wanting to feed was too much, too strong and too powerful. There was this permanent voice in the back of his head screaming at him and telling him to be done with this and to feed, however he was trying to be better than that and trying to get through it. He needed to get through it to set a good example for his twin sister Naomi once he found her. Oh and naturally for Selena, ah, Selena, now she too was something special. It brought a small smirk to his mouth just thinking about her and then he started to regret it.
With an irritated sigh he thought about going to notify his other girl to explain that he was leaving, but hmm, he really didn’t want to. It was really quite simple as to why. Sometimes Selena bothered him when it came down to her and his sister, and even though he loved her and should have been fair to her, he preferred to handle his twin on his own. I mean ‘come on!’ Naomi was his baby sister and their bond was stronger for Christ sake! Naomi was also someone who Khristoph liked to call ‘his,’ and he looked after her, and well... Hell, he had turned her all those years ago so... it didn’t come much closer than that did it?
Khristoph eyed his bedroom door listening hard to hear the movement of his siblings. He felt that if they were around or listening out for him then they might decide to try and stop him. ‘God help anyone who tries to stop me.’ He hissed under his breath, getting up and moving towards the window rather than the door. He could have crept out the proper way perhaps, though the last thing that he wanted to do was run into somebody who he didn’t want to see right now. It would have just annoyed him and he expected that if that were to happen then he would have been told what to do. They’re older and apparently much cleverer though they way that they looked down upon him was wrong, so wrong. Either way Khristoph didn’t really care for it. He pushed the window open wide and then jumped out without a second thought. He hit the ground with a thud afterwards, inhaled Naomi’s unique scent and then dashed around the trees to chase her, ‘Tut, tut, baby sister.’ He snorted. The thoughts at this time running wild and free inside his head, ‘What is it that you’re up to?’ He was fascinated although slightly bemused.
Usually the twins did a lot together and so that’s why Khristoph felt like she was hiding something or that there was something that she wasn’t telling him. He normally thrived on giving himself the best of everything, having always wanted to do the same for Naomi, so that there was yet another reason as to why he was getting sick of it. Sick of being nothing but a lame a** ‘vegetarian’ vampire, sick of the life that he was living, sick of the rules, sick of the neglect from his so-called family and the way that he felt that he couldn’t do much more for her. He began thinking about refusing to keep drinking those tiny vials that he was given since all it did was make ‘it’ worse. It shouldn’t be like this you know? He needed more of ‘it,’ more ‘blood,’ and if he couldn’t get more of ‘it’ then what was the point in living? What was the point in anything? What was the point in ‘this?’
It had been extremely easy for him to find his sister, he knew her better than anyone. She was the one person who he could count on. Though maybe he was wrong about that though, maybe he was just completely fooled into believing it instead. It had been a short while that he had stayed hidden behind the tall trees watching her as she did whatever it was she was doing. It was a weird sight to see and she looked a little lost until Oliver came along to pester her. ‘Oh great,’ Khristoph thought upon seeing the man here. ‘[******** my life or whatever.’ He became irritated and irked by his ‘brother’s’ presence. There was no doubt about it that everything was wrong when Oliver was here. The man was a mere pain in his backside, a mere pest. Khristoph wanted to come out from where he was hiding to tell the man to back the ******** off, though he stopped himself as he was fascinated to see how this played out. Naomi was a big girl now. She could take care of herself. But hmm, it was difficult though to witness this guy fooling around with his sister. To be quite honest it broke him a little inside and he didn’t like it one bit. Khristoph felt a mixture of emotions but anger and regret compelled him the most. It had been a long time since he felt like he was feeling. He had tried to convince himself that everything was good and fine, yet he knew that it wasn’t. He also knew why.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I feel replaced if I’m totally honest. Correction, I ‘was’ replaced by that pathetic excuse for a vampire. I haven’t very many words to truly describe it. This feeling, this jealously, this hatred for him which was burning up and up and up inside. I wanted him dead and that really wasn’t saying something. Many people wanted Oliver dead, although their reasons were far pettier than my own. The only reason that I wished him dead was because I felt challenged, taunted. There were lines not to be tampered with and I felt that he had crossed them; I felt that he had mocked me and I felt that each day he continued to mock me while becoming more and cockier about it. Or maybe it was me and I was wrong. I could be. I’m not always right and I admit that. In my eyes I guess I feel that he sees himself as far more superior than I. Yeah that’s what gets to me the most. I mean fine, ok I like to think of myself in the same light. However I do realise that there are better vampires out there and I do realise that I’m not ‘yet’ that great. I also knew that despite hating this man at this moment I would do nothing about it. I couldn’t kill Oliver myself and I didn’t really want to. He was my brother and we were friends one time sure. Things had changed over time and I had somewhere along the way stopped trusting him. I don’t even know why I did. Maybe it’s because his attitude started getting to me too much or maybe I’m just losing it. Either way I had seen red and found myself standing around completely stunned and confused. I was in the worst possible position, you know? Because I knew that both he and my sister could probably sense my presence. At that time I didn’t care if they found me and confronted me or not. I turned around and walked away. My feet moved one foot in front of the other, gliding across the ground taking me to some place better than here. That’s how I ended up where I am now. I’m right back where I started... Well almost. Of course I did a few other things first before coming straight home, but hush.
I am not going think about that yet. I am going to think about this. “Father, listen.” I had managed to mutter several moments ago while trying to get Alec’s attention drawn away from my twin sister. “How can you expect Naomi to-” I had stopped speaking and frowned darkly once I had realised that Alec and everyone else wasn’t even paying me much attention. ‘Oh fine then. Suit yourself.’ I quickly bitched in my head rather than hissed the words out loud. This 'family meeting' had just been pointless because how can anyone be expected to sort a situation out when nobody ever really listens to anyone really? I had remained mostly ignored by them and had laughed lightly under my breath because of it. ‘Wasn’t I always ignored though?’ I questioned myself now as I rested upon my bed locked away in my room. I sighed out quietly and continued to feel appalled by it, and by everything. This feeling wasn’t all that I felt though for I was currently still feeling a mixture of things and the main things were resentment and frustration. I didn’t want to be here but then I had to be here, only it was not by choice though, oh no. It was never by choice because if I had my own way then I would be out there with that girl, that succulent looking girl, that girl whom I had almost tasted.
And... ‘[********]’ Selena had just dashed into my room and great, just great... This was... great. This was something that I wasn’t sure if I could deal with right now. This was bad, this was very, very, bad. “At least the light is away from Naomi for now.” I commented without much thought, “But eh, it doesn’t really bother me I suppose. I mean Sevastian’s back, big deal. Although who cares really?” I gave Selena a serious look not really having much else to say about that. I didn’t really mind Sevastian in general, and those who knew me well enough knew this, yet it was... well just had that vibe, I guess. He was just another one out of this very dysfunctional family who at times really bothered me. So no, no I wasn’t overjoyed that he was back. I was quite the opposite. I remained lying down on my bed turning my head sideways to look at Selena whenever she spoke to me. Oh. Her beautiful face seemed so intrigued at this time, full of utmost curiosity. I laughed at her comment about where I had been, leaning upwards and resting myself on my elbows. “As if,” I stated, with a coy smile looking down on her. “I just had something I needed to do. That’s all.” Pursing my lips together, I little by little moved closer towards her and kissed the top of her head. Running my fingers through her dark raven hair, I gave her a small smile while gazing deep into her chocolaty eyes; it was here when I started to begin trying to purposely distract her from my whereabouts. “Seriously don’t worry, my love. I will be more than ready to tear one to pieces if and when I need to.” After saying all of those hush words to her, I grinned and then trailed my fingers tenderly down the side of her cheeks.
It was quite soon that I heard a noise and the sound of whatever it was easily distracted me because it reminded me so much of earlier. I took a deep breath and then turned my attention away from Selena and towards the window, then frowning I stood up and looked to her and then back to the window again. “Did you hear that?” I questioned as I stared outside and saw a dark figure. They - whoever it was - was running away from the house and I had this immediate confused look creeping upon my face, “It sounds like...” Pausing between words, I gasped out in horror when I saw her, “‘s**t.’ It’s Naomi. I have to go. Sorry.”

FLASHBACK
" Mommie ! Amia Took my toy ! "Kyle screamed to his lung as the little boy ran and trail his sister, the little girl trying to out run him. Of course, he was faster since he had walking already down and had longer, stronger leg's, so he soon caught up, taking his toy back and pushing the little girl down. Immediately the girl teared up in the eye's and started to cry, making him feel not only like a bully, but knowing now he was going to get more into trouble because he was big brother and all. At first, he liked the idea of having another kid to play with, but Amia was something else. First, she was a girl, so it's not like she'd like the same thing's like he would, like dirt bike's and GI Joe. No, she liked tea cup's and Barbie, yuck. When he found out that she was a girl alone, he was sort of let down because he wanted a brother. So much for that though, he got an annoying sister. The crying didn't stop, it just made his mother present to pick her up and ask him what did he do ? " I didn't do anything ! All I wanted was my toy ! " He snapped back at his mother as she looked down upon him, but soon enough, she calmed his sister down and grew a smile for her little boy. " Awe, Ky, she's only trying to play with you." The boy let out a mean grunt, looking at Amia in his mother's arm and then at his mother. " That's the thing, I don't want to play with her ! I don't want her around me ! " Now his mother was raised her voice a bit, " Kyle ! She's your sister." Now his sister was getting upset because everyone was upset, his father hearing all of it and was heading their way, he could hear the man's footstep's, but before he could tell him something he didn't want to hear, he reply back to his mother harshly, " I don't care ! That doesn't mean I have to like her ! " His mother shocked at what she was hearing, she was completely speechless, just looking at her son as he glared Amia down before taking off to his room, slamming the door behind him. Amia was crying to the top of her lung's, she literally turning red, so was their mother, but for differ reason's. " What the hell is going on ? " His father never really curse around them, but when he did, you knew that he meant what he was saying. Though, from there on, the day got even more hectic than that.
FLASHBACK ENDED
You'd never know how much you'd miss a person until they were really gone. Of course, I didn't get that quote until I actually lost someone. First, it was my parent's. It hit me hard, it hit everyone hard in the family, but at the same time, I knew that we could go on living because of what they taught us. I was prepared for their death, not the way that it happen, but I was ready to be ready for the new's that Ms.and Mr. Taylor breath no longer. One day, they were going to have to leave the earth so someone else could enter, I mean, the world is only so big. Like it or not from all of us, it was the circle of life. Again, they didn't deserve to die like they did, no one that died like them did, but they died and now they were in a better place. Each day, I told that to myself, was the day I felt that they were better off dying, because my parent's deserved something better than this world anyway's. They could look down upon us, and see that their kid's were doing alright, not great, but alright. That we used their teaching's and year's of raising out in the world, like my mother's politeness or my father's survival skill's. Each day was a good day, knowing that they may not be here, but they guiding us, all day to the right path, showing us sign's to do what's right and what's not. They were always with us, and it was always going to be like that.
But dear god, I was not ready for Amia to die.
The pain, it was like taking a shotgun, and blowing my chest out. I couldn't even fully look at her body, even the little glance I got, I couldn't believe it. My sister, first sister, she was gone. Right after that, I tried to blame the women that was only trying to help, the family that actually gave a ******** enough to gather her body so she could at least be bury properly. I was just mad though, mad at each and every blood sucker that was out there, but more mad at myself. I did this, I let this happen to her, and I've never felt so bad in my life. The feeling, it just felt like I fail, this whole time I've been trying to protect everyone, I'd had let her die. She was a grown women, It was so much I could say to her and make her do, but still, I can't face the fact that I could have done more. I'm sitting over here, mopping and depress over some vampire that just used me for her enjoyment instead of paying attention to the big picture, my family.
I couldn't take it, all the pressure, all the shock, I just lost myself. Total breakdown on my emotion's and body period. I've lost so much, so has everyone around me, but just me alone, I felt like a complete wreck everyday from just my parent's and Rebecca being out of the picture. Three was a charm, the black charm that just put a hold of my feeling's for anyone that wasn't a Taylor what so ever. That's why I snapped at the lady that was hurt, but kind enough to keep my sister's body. Ms. Matthew's, she was only trying to help, but still, I didn't care. She couldn't bring my sister back, so I didn't care whatsoever what she had to stay. I had to get out, I had to leave the house before I actually said something that I regretted or would have cause more problems. They were telling me to stay, but my middle finger went high up into the air as I disappeared into the wood's. I just needed a moment alone, I just needed a moment.
some time pass -
A whole pack of cigarette's were gone. A whole bottle of Wild Turkey, gone. Not hammered yet, but sure as hell not even close to being sober. I didn't want to get hammered anyway's, and of course, I didn't want to be sober either. I was in the right place, just really ******** up. I came to a place in the wood's where my father use to always take me and my other sibling's, to the lake. It was gorgeous during spring, not like it wasn't gorgeous other time's, but your in for a treat when you come during the spring. When the leaf's start changing color's and the reflection of the water. The calm weather and the nice breeze, it was wonderful. Even the little rope that was attached to a tree was still here. It was there when I was a little boy, and I'd always have to show Amia and later on, the rest of my Sibling's that it wouldn't break, but just in case, my dad and I stayed near it. It was a raggedy old thing now, not that it was something to look at when I was swinging on it. Now I just sat under the tree, watching nature take it's course. I've always love just sitting down and watch the world do what it did everyday. No one really did that anymore simply because they didn't want to or they just didn't have the time. My dad though, he always made time for all of us to sit and watch the world. He didn't want us to grow on television, and computer's, he wanted us to go see and touch it our self's.
Once out of the week, we'd even have a picnic up here, just because. He'd be teaching me and later on Ari how to hunt, while the other's just ate, sat around and caught up about what's been happening during the week or swam with the fishes. I didn't get why my dad was always trying to spend time with us like that. Of course, at this time, I was just a boy. Especially when I got in high school, the last thing I wanted to do was spend my Saturday with my ******** parent's. It annoyed the s**t out of me, but I wouldn't have though anything like that If I could see this coming in the future. In fact, my parent's would hold my hand and walked with me to all my six classes if that been the case. Amia wouldn't have been able to see an inch of light other than the one that was in her room, it was no way she'd end up outside, nonetheless, dying on me. Yeah, I would have gave death the middle finger in his face, but of course, it didn't happen like that.
So now, I sit under the memory tree, alone.
Just the way I want it to be.

- █████████████████████████████xxx
- “Keith darling, be a sweetheart and go help your sisters with cleaning the living room.” His mom suggested right when she spotted him following his older siblings down the hallway. She gently pushed him back out into the living room. “But Ma-“ The young wolf attempted to protest, but his mom hushed his whine by placing her hand on his mouth. “No buts. Perhaps go on and talk to Abigail. Be a good host for me. Go on, now.” His mom gently pushed him back once again before she turned to lead his siblings to a room. What was with this? Keith had been so kicked for the day that he finally became part of the pack since he believed that when the day came, he would be included in everything because he was ‘a wolf’ now which was like being a man to him. No more of this waiting in the living room while pacing back and forth like he was doing at the moment. This wasn’t fair. Of course Keith was the youngest, but he wasn’t a baby. He was sixteen, damn it! A sixteen year old werewolf. He should be in that room with the rest of them. What was in that room anyway? His senses were mixed and he couldn’t identify the smell he was receiving. His cerulean blue eyes continued to glare down the hall, mostly on Elvis’ back since that was he saw as his older siblings left the living room.
Keith only blinked when Juliett appeared in the middle of his glare. His stern expression softened at the sight of the warm smile his sister gave him. At least he wasn’t the only werewolf left to sit around while the other discussed about whatever a pack of angry wolves discussed about. The young wolf was pulled into a hug and he replied to it. “I can’t and don’t know much of what is going on, KeiKei,” Keith listened. He ignored the nickname that Juls had given him when they were younger. It was merely to make fun of him and another reason to remind him that he was always treated as the baby. “You know Reagan will fill us in when we have our..family meeting,” Once she let go of him, he looked at her confusingly. They weren’t having a family meeting at the moment? What were they doing in the room then? His curiosity was stacking. “If I’m included this time and not shoved away or looked down upon.” Keith replied back in a soft, yet direct tone. His eyes drifted away from her and back into the hallway where Elvis stood like a zombie in front of the room’s door. Keith tilted his head at the sight like a confused dog would. He was about to walk over to him, but Juliett prevented him to. “I came home and the home was in a mess. Mom tried defending her best, but she was outnumbered. Plus mum isn’t the …” Keith knew where she was heading. His mom was a werewolf, but having seven children could really put a dent in your fighting skills. That was why he was so concerned for her. “I know. But that doesn’t excuse her for letting in some random strangers into the house. I mean, hasn’t she seen Snow White? They could have had poisonous apples.” Keith responded. Seriously, what was up with that? His mom was the one who told him never to talk to strangers when he was younger and here she was, had broken her own rule. “Plus, where’s Gray? He has every right to be blamed for this too. He said he was going to patrol the forest area that isn’t too far from the house. He should have sensed Maw-Maw was in danger.” Keith looked around, as if Grayson was somewhere hiding in the living room or kitchen. “We lost Gray, Keith,” Like upon seeing his humble home in chaos, this was another punch to the gut.
His right eyebrow twitched. He cleared his throat that had suddenly become dry. “Wh-what?” his voice cracked. Keith looked at her more hurt than confused. She looked back at him in all calmness. She must be joking. She must be. He tried his best to let out a laugh, but it turned to be a very bad chuckle. She continued to look at him, but this time with the face that a mother usually gave their sons when their gold fish died. “He did his best protecting our family and Amia. We must repay him back with keeping our bond and strength well woven together,” Juliett’s words repeated in his mind. Each word became heavier when repeated. Grayson was… dead? Even though Gray was no longer part of the pack when Keith joined in, he was still the brother that played baseball with him and shared a Yu-Gi-Oh card collection. His jaw tightened. Grayson was dead. The guy that he thought could pull off the Falcon Punch perfectly was gone, just like that. He saw him in the morning, alive and well, and now… Keith felt his eyes water up and his lips quivered. “We cannot act on anger, right?” The young wolf looked at his sister. She still had that composure to her, like always. He shouldn’t be surprised that she’d keep calm even during a brother’s death. As much as it was tempted to snap at her for not crying only because he didn’t want to be the only one crying, Keith remained silent. He only shook his head in a no to Juls’ response. If he cried, he will only prove that he is indeed a runt. He couldn’t have that, especially not after he had imprinted. He needed to prove that he could handle himself with a vampire. Therefore, Keith didn’t cry. God, how much he needed Naomi right now.
Juliett leaned in to place a small kiss on Keith’s cheek. He continued to make himself into stone. “What’s that smell?” Keith shrugged. “What smell?” he asked her. He watched her scan him before finally pointed out the wound on his ankle. “Left ankle in some pain, KeiKei? What trouble did you get yourself into now?” Juls smiled at him and gave a playful sigh. She lured him to an armchair while he explained, “Not my fault this time, honest.” Keith said before she hurried off for the first aid kit and then came back with it. He rested in the armchair, his urge to break down slowly dying out. If this was a distraction plan for Keith, it was working. His eyes watched as Elvis and Kyle walked out of the house. Gabriel followed after and so did Ariana. He was receiving negative emotions from them, but like Juls had said earlier, it was best not to act out in anger. “You know what happened, right?” Keith’s eyes fell back on his sister. He wasn’t paying attention to her. “Hmm?” he said. He had thought about Grayson while she examined his wound, but was slowly being calmed away from grieving again. “Ariana and her arrows.” Keith replied. He wasn’t even feeling the mood to rant about breaking her arrows.
He flinched when Juliett applied just a bit of alcohol onto his wound. Immediately, he reminded himself about proving his pack that he wasn’t a baby. With Juls taking care of his wound, he was doing the opposite. Alerted with the fact that she was practically babying him, Keith pulled his leg away from her grasp and stood up. “I’m fine now. You didn’t need to do that. Besides, just a little cut.” Keith said grumpily. He kneeled down to fix the gauze on his ankle even though it didn’t need fixing. Keith sighed heavily. He could hear the arguments being spat around, mainly Gabriel and Ariana. Couldn’t they shut up? Their emotions were stronger and it was pressuring him. That urge to cry began to poke him. He needed a distraction, ASAP.
“Hungry?” Keith looked over to Juliett. “Hell yes.” Thank god for food, the perfect distraction. He could smell the pot roast as he hurried to the kitchen. He opened up one of the cupboards and searched for the biggest bowl. “Help me, Keith,” his attention quickly flipped to Juliett. “Rea said we must keep the Taylors here,” He looked at her for a moment before to the living room where most of the Taylors were. They were missing one. Kyle had left. And now Nathan looked to be heading out too. Keith sighed, “What’s the use, Juls?” A pissy mood began to grow in him. “They never learn their lesson. Just let them do whatever the hell they want.” The angry emotions began to finally get to him. He slammed the cupboard shut and just leaned on the kitchen counter. His cerulean eyes stared out the little window in front of him and out at the woods. What was the use? They had lost three already. The oldest one bailed. The newly second oldest one was trying really hard to keep poise while the other was practically breathing fire. He didn’t know about the two younger ones, they looked like zombies to him. The Taylor family was slipping and Keith didn’t see a use to help if the members didn’t want to contribute some effort anymore. He should probably take their advice and bail too. The Matthews house was over-crowding than usual and Keith was getting stuffed with all the negative emotions building up. He just wanted to morph and run as fast as he could. He wanted to zip through the woods and whoosh passed the trees like in the morning. He wanted to end up at the clearing, the same clearing where he had cornered her into. He just wanted find and be with Naomi at the moment. It was like he could feel a connection with her. It was hard to explain, but he just wanted to see her face.

WENDY'S ( :.
The platinum haired female followed her younger brother into the kitchen, knowing the emotions he was going through. Sometimes, she wondered if Keith ever realized that they were floating in the same boat. Though she was not one to question the rules of authority she was treated as much as a child as he was. She was often overlooked as a child, especially with Morgan trailing along with her older brothers. The grouping of her older siblings caused Juliett to stick to herself. She loves her siblings, and she knew that they were only doing their job. Werewolves had systems just as human high school food chains. It wasn’t until Keith came along did she find a sibling that she could stick with. She had spent a lot of time with him and today was the day he needed to learn his lesson. That he wasn’t the only one being left out of the loop. He’d have to get over his emotions and anger.
She hadn’t realized she had been pulled into her thoughts. As she leaned against the counter, Keith’s voice brought her back to reality. “What’s the use, Juls?” He continued, “They never learn their lesson. Just let them do whatever the hell they want.” His voice grew with anger. Juliett scowled at her younger brother. He knew better than to speak that way, especially when their guests could overhear! “Keith!” Juls’ exclaimed at her brother, holding her composure. “Is that honestly the way to think of it?” Juls’ questioned the fair headed male. “I understand that the Taylor’s are hard to keep rounded up, but don’t you think that they have suffered enough?” Juls’ said taking a step closer to her brother. “Not only have they lost their oldest sister, but they have lost, may I remind you, both their parents.” She wasn’t trying to pull the guilt card on him. “But, you know. You are right. This is why we have to keep them together, because their family is falling apart.” Juls’ said taking a deep breath. “You know it as much as I do.”
She wasn’t angry, not at all. In fact she was speaking in a calm, understanding voice. To her, there was no reason for one to raise their voice. When yelling occurred, confusion was caused. She was irked by the fact that her brother was letting his emotions get to him. What was she expecting? He still had raging hormones, just as she did…Just like any teenager. Being a werewolf only added to the changing balances inside of one’s mind and body. She pressed her pink lips together. “KeiKei. Do you ever wonder why the two of us share a closer relationship than the rest of our siblings?” She asked staring out the window as she spoke, noticing Kyle marching through the yard. She wanted her brother to understand, to not get caught in rash decisions. “Because. You and I don’t get told anything about what’s going on. I came home to help mum, but she didn’t tell me a thing.” Juls’ said a hint of disappointment in her voice. “But, I don’t hold that against her, so instead I made myself useful by cleaning. And now it is an order, by the alpha to take care of the Taylor’s.” Juliett said turning her light green eyes onto her brother’s blue eyes, caught in surprise by the look on his face.
Since when did her sixteen year old brother get such a soft look on his face? Usually his eyes were scowled together and he was angry about being kept out the loop. Of course she could read Keith like an open book. Her specialty was registering emotions on faces and it was especially easy with humans. Vampires were a bit harder, but she was positive she could do it. “In love, KeiKei?” Juliett asked now standing in front of her brother. “Want to tell me about it?” She asked him curiously, tilting her head to the side. Although she was quiet around others, Keith was an exception. Juliett lifted the corner of her lips, giving him time to speak if he wanted to. “Love is a tricky feeling,” Juls said reaching to give his hand a squeeze. She would always be here to offer her shoulder and an ear. “Kyle just marched out the house a couple of minutes ago, I’ll go track him down.” Juliett said with another small sigh.
Keith was right, keeping together the Taylor’s was proven to be a hard task. “Ariana is with Beau, Joce with Elvis, Kyle needs to be brought back and I believe that leaves Nathan and Abigail. Check on the two younger ones?” Juliett asked, tilting her head to the side again. A Juliett move that only seemed to fail once in a blue moon, and with her last few spoken words she found the door out of their home. Finding Kyle wasn’t easy, but once she had shifted the task was simple as pie. The best part about winter was that she blended into the snow. She could smell him from a long distance away…The smoke and alcohol. She stayed a safe distance from Human hearings reach, giving him more than enough time to let out his emotions before phasing back into her human form.
The platinum blond purposely made reckless noise as she neared his position under the tree. He would know someone was coming. “It’s Juliett.” Juls’ said as she heard her voice echo. Her green eyes scanned the half drunken man. “I know it is difficult to cope with your loss, but running will not help any,” Juliett said standing in front of the man who smelled like smoke. Her nose crinkled at the smell; she could smell much more of it than any normal human. Did they all think they were the only ones who lost someone dear to them? Gray had always kept Juliett close. The thoughts stung at her heart. “I don’t mean to sound rude, but if we weren’t here to help your family…would you have still ran off?” Juliett questioned. In some ways questions usually helped a person think. “Leaving your siblings behind as you have? They need their older brother to keep them together at a time like this, yes?” Juliett asked, sitting down across from him, her green eyes staring him down curiously. She could feel the snowflakes landing on her hair. “I really am not trying to pry, but there are better options to deal with the loss.” Juliett said running her index finger in patterns in the snow. She knew Kyle knew more than he should, but she was sure he also knew better.
“You might freeze out here,” She said noting the temperature dropping. He probably hadn’t eaten since last night. She was sure Mum was cooking plenty for both families, and the Matthew boys sure did have an appetite. She was prepared for anything Kyle threw out her. Of course she was expecting it to be anger and hurtful words, but she had learned long ago not to take words spoken from anger to heart.
