♈ Children of Strife and War. ♈

I'll let you blame it all on me,
And set your guilt free.
I don't want to hold you back now love.
I can't change who I am.
Not this time, I won't lie to keep you near me.
And in this short life, there's no time to waste on giving up.
My love wasn't enough.

Ashe glanced at the plant life around him with an irritated glint in his eyes. All the plants that sprouted about him reminded him of Adonis and Aphrodite. He was spending time with her children here at camp, He didn't mind them at all. He actually preferred there company over any other beside Odette ofcourse. He stepped on the head of a flower wilting all the petals as he crushed them into the earth returning them back to there rightful place. He didn't enjoy camping at all, It made him think of Adonis and how he had upset his father to the point of murder. It was all Aphrodite's fault. She had a powerful god and set that aside to chase after a mortal. Ultimately it was Adonis whom payed, The goddess of love was free of his father's wrath. He glanced down at the ground shaking his head at the decimated flower. Adonis' birth is like the forging of new plants; his maturation represented the ripening of the plant. Once the crop is harvested, it dies—like Adonis returning to the underworld. The new seeds are then placed again in the ground, where they grow into new life, like Adonis returning to the earth to be with Aphrodite. He left the small trail and returned to camp deciding it was time to find his Step Sister. He passed the mess hall and from the looks of it everybody had gathered there, He had no intention of being social today. He had a huge chip on his shoulder and was ready to let the next person whom crossed him the wrong way have a taste of his aggression. "Odette!" Asher roared. To his distaste the red head didn't appear in a flash of smog like she usually did. She was probably asleep or off staring into the sky. He noticed the tiny Grey rain cloud floating about, His father's twin sister was near which meant that Odette would be near as well.
The red head perked up a smile popping up on her face as she heard him call out. She swore that she had just seen Asher approaching her. Then again her mom was probably teasing her. She wouldn't doubt it her mom loved doing those sort of things. The wind carried her to Asher as she jumped out of her seat and into his iron arms. "Sup?!" She chirped with a bubbly grin jumping down from his grasp. "The usual, I'm irritated over nothing." He groaned resting his head on her shoulder. "It's okay Ash, It's not your fault you got uncle's temper." She said with a smile patting his head delicately as she danced away her magic sprouting dust devils along the way. Asher stepped back not wanting to get congested and turned toward the mess hall once more. "Come on. We have to go eat or we'll get bitched at." He said gesturing for her to follow. "Fine Fine Fine, Let's go eat slop." The girl follow along lithely catching up to him. "I can't wait till monster maiming. Me and you have to get my mom to let some sirens out." She bellowed with a laugh "Or gorgons. Gorgons are good too! OH and the occasional Harpy." Odette went on and on Asher was to fixed in getting to the mess hall that he missed everything the girl was rambling on about.
Odette was the first in the mess hall and buttoned up her cardigan as she entered taking a seat near the Aphrodite table. She knew how Asher loved there company so she sat next to them to please her brother. "Good choice, If we sat anywhere else I would have complained until we moved." Asher said flashing a grin her way. "I know, And I would have made your food go all over your face." Odette shot back with a grin as she made herself comfortable. The two didn't intend on eating, Asher and Odette both brought a stash of goodies and meals that Odette could easily heat up for them both. Later on tonight they both planned on enjoying Orange chicken. "AND, I'm bored." Odette whined looking around for an unwilling participant to a prank.
