♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Humans came first. They always came first. No matter if it were God or evolution that put them there, they are the start of everything. Give or take a couple hundred years after the birth of humans, one found a way to tap into the natural magic of the Earth. She became the worlds first witch. She didn't share her secret either, and when she heard of those who managed it, she killed them. Keeping ehrself as the only witch around. After making herself a self made Queen, having her own kingdom, two Kings came to her, both eager to have the enchantress as their bride. They fought each other, even started a war over the witch. She enjoyed this war, enjoyed watching others die because two men wanted her. That is until, the Kings found someone they deemed fairer than her to chase after and left her in the dust. Scorned by these two, she cursed them. One was cursed to live forever, to forever be slave to his lust for blood. The other was cursed to be a slave to the moon, an uncontrollable animal. So the two decided to band together and create an army of both of their kinds to get back at her. They built up their numbers and eventually came after the witch. But she was already five steps ahead of them. She exposed them for the monsters they are, and sent them into hiding.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx For a couple centuries they co-existed together. It wasn't perfect, the vampires treated werewolves like the lesser species, but never enslaved them. Never forced anyone to do anything. They hid together in the shadows, nothing but a nightmare to people now. Turning into nothing but legends, the fighting began to happen amongst them. The werewolves were demanding for land from the vampires, the vampires weren't giving and if anything were getting even more selfish with what they had. A young werewolf female, daughter of the Alpha, and one of the male Regents were sleeping together in secret, something which would be looked down on by both sides. When the fight broke out the female tried to stop it, outed their relationship and the child growing within her belly. She tried to unite the races by the thought of a new race being born. Outraged by the monster he created, her vampire lover killed her himself, and thus the war between vampires and werewolves began, a never ending feud that has lasted up until 2014.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx In the present day, the fighting still continues. And humans go about their day to day activities unaware of the very real threat that went on in the shadows. But a threat that the Elders assumed was gone is still around. The witch who started it all found a way to give herself immortality, and has grown bored of the war she helped start. She contacted the werewolves and convinced them to help her create hybrids, a creature she couldn't create on her own. They agreed to help her, and with her help managed to capture a couple vampires almost two decades ago, and were raising hybrids in secret. They have learned that Hybrids are superior to both species, although putting a vampire and werewolf in bed does not always guarantee conception. The witch offered immortality to the wolves in exchange for their help, and the wolves think that with the Hybrids they can win the war. But the witch wants to put an end to both species, and keep only hybrids. Lock up enough vampires and werewolves to keep pumping out hybrids for her own personal use. They have managed to make a few hybrids, one of them is very loyal to the werewolves, since they are his family. The other has recently run away, not wanting to be apart of any war.

♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Okay so first things first: This is my rp. You follow MY rules. I am your almighty lord here, and failure to follow my rules can only hurt you, and if you're really a jerk, all of us.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx There is to be no god-modding, power-playing or auto-hitting. This is a PG-13 rated role play, which means killing and swearing are to be kept to a low. Romance will be skipped once the clothes come off.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx This is a literate rp. That means you know basic English, grammar and spelling. You know how to read and write. The minimum you should be posting is three good length paragraphs.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx You should be posting once a week per character. Have two characters? Then it's twice a week. Three characters is three times a week. For a posting layout, you need one image, a name, and two colors. Because this is all you need excuses for not posting revolving around posting layouts won't fly here. I have make you a layout in two minutes if you ask. You have three days after your profile is done to post in the IC. Failure to do so will result in your removal from the rp. Failure to ask for more time is on you, not me. If you use bright colors that hurt to look at, page stretch, or simply have a lack of a layout you will be PMed. You get two chances to fix your layout. If I have to tell you more than one time to fix it I may boot you from the rp.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Characters wise, three characters is the maximum amount you are allowed to have. One of them has to be male. Their appearances have to be real. No art of any kind that is not a photo. Try to make your characters seem realistic, and no copying characters who already exist! You do not need to fill out a background check a second time to take a second character.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx To join you first fill out the background check and post that in the Applications thread. After you have been accepted you can send the reserve info via PM. After you've sent the info needed you can work on and finish the profile. It's not long, but you will have two days to do it. If you need more time give me a legit reason why and ask. Failure to have your profile done will result in your removal from the role play.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx If you have failed to post in the IC, I will check to see if you have been active in the OOC or the Chat. If neither, then I will not hesitate to remove you.

They just want the killing of their kind to stop, to live forever like the vampires get to do. They want power, as much as they can get their hands on. Even if that requires procreating with their natural enemies to do it.

♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx The vampires have a mansion a bit out of town. They've owned it for centuries and are always upgrading it and making it bigger, better, or even just modernizing it. There are more than enough rooms for every vampire in it to have their own, but some share rooms such as siblings or lovers, etc... There is also a chamber meant only for the Vampire Council to be in. It is where they go to talk in private, for even a vampire's enhanced hearing cannot hear through the sound proof walls. It is also a safe room for the Elders and council members. Coated inn silver and unless you are a council member it can only be opened from the inside. It requires blood to open it, making it nearly impossible to break into.

♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx The werewolves are not swimming in luxury like the vampires. The battles between then tended to destroy the home the werewolves had. Right now they are living in an abandoned house, and using the sewers connected to it to get in and out, making the house look even more abandoned. They have been avoiding the vampires, trying to seem down in numbers so the vampires let their guard down thinking they are nearly extinct.

♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx In the following spoilers is everything you need to know about the vampires, werewolves and the hybrids.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Vampires:

♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Are Immortal but not dead. Getting bitten changes your body to an irreversible state, but are very much alive.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Can be born or bitten. Can only mate with other vampires or werewolves, as human sperm/eggs tend to be unable to handle vampirism. Vampires who are born of two vampires is stronger and faster and more pure than a bitten vampire. Vampires who are bitten by Elders, they are just as if not more powerful than vampires who are born.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Vampires must survive on blood, which can be vampire, human, or even werewolf. Werewolf blood is NOT harmful to vampires, just as vampire blood is not harmful to werewolves.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Vampires appear very human. Although they can transform their eyes to be a light blue color(link), and extend their fangs. In their relaxed state, their fangs are retracted but not fully. They always have a slight overbite from their fangs. Elder vampires have violet colored eyes rather than blue(link), which reminds the lesser vampires of their high ranking. Elders have violet eyes, death dealers deeper blue.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx A Vampires bite causes biological changes in the hosts that endows them with heightened senses and greatly increased physical abilities. Vampires possess superhuman physical powers, including strength, speed, agility, reflexes, endurance, durability and accelerated healing. Vampires can jump form ten stories even and land without injury or harm. Are fast enough to dodge bullets and outrun werewolves in most cases. Their raw strength is sufficient to single-handedly lift a grown man off the ground with ease. The older a vampire is, the stronger and in some cases faster they are. And may even be able to cling to flat surfaces. They have a night vision, which can be used with changing their eyes to the light blue color.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Vampires burn up in sunlight, or ultraviolet radiation. The older the vampire, the faster they burn.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Vampires do not possess any of the mystical weaknesses of mythological Vampires (crosses, holy water, garlic, stakes, etc) and do have reflections in mirrors. They came up with their own weaknesses, to better hide from humans. If they passed the test, humans would not come trying to kill them.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Vampires have laws that must be followed: The Vampires have a law which is decreed in their Covenant. Some of these laws include:
xxxxxxxxxxVampires are to conceal themselves from humans at all costs unless to turn them
xxxxxxxxxxVampires are not allowed to drink human blood directly(as one bite can turn a human)
xxxxxxxxxxVampires are not allowed to fraternize or interact with Lycans/Werewolves in any way
xxxxxxxxxxVampires are not allowed to delve into the past
xxxxxxxxxxBreaking these laws require a judgement from the Council (the council is a group of Elder vampires who
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx The Vampire community has been split between two great covens, the one in America, and the one still in Europe. The coven in Europe is where the council lives, their coven.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Vampires do have a hierarchy in which they run things. There is the Elder of the coven, who is the leader and the one who makes all of the decisions. All vampires must go through him and follow his commands. Then there is the second in command/Regent. He/She acts as the face of the coven, while the elder makes the decisions. They enforce the law and punish those who break them. Then there are just normal vampires who are not high enough to be important, but are not newborns. Then there are the Death Dealers, who are vampires picked and turned by Elders, making them stronger and faster, then trained to be the most deadly thing on the planet. They are used to hunt down and kill werewolves, as well as protect the Elders. Then there are the newborns. Newborns act as maids, servants and messengers. They do the dirty work because they have to earn their keep. Newborns have a harder time keeping their blood lust in control, but do not go absolutely blood lust crazy and slaughter whole towns.

♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Werewolves:

♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Werewolves can be born or bitten. Can reproduce with vampires or werewolves. Human bodies are not compatible with a werewolf egg or sperm.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Werewolves can survive on human food, but do need to eat a lot of meat.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Werewolves have three forms. There is their human form which appears perfectly normal. Their second form is half-human half-werewolf. They have some fur on their face, pointed ears, claw, fangs, and their face starts to shift into their full werewolf form but not completely. (link). Then there is their full werewolf form(link). Werewolves have two different kinds of eyes. Alpha's have red glowing eyes(link), which shows their power. All other werewolves have yellow glowing eyes(link).
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Like vampires, the older the werewolf, the more powerful they are. Lycans display inhuman physical strength, speed, reflexes, endurance and agility comparable to their vampire counterparts. These traits seem to apply to Lycans even when in human form, as a lycan is able to catch up to a moving car, and subsequently survive being hit by it head on. Even in their human forms, lycans also demonstrate other feats of superhuman strength, reflexes and agility, such as catching crossbow bolts in midair, jumping extremely high and overpowering both humans and vampires in physical combat. It is very likely that they can enter a state of hibernation and survive without blood or oxygen for centuries. They possess enhanced senses of smell, hearing and sight that are superior even to those of wolves, not just humans, and are also able to sense Vampires in close proximity to themselves. It should be noted that when in their Werewolf forms they are stronger than when in human form, able to break through solid concrete walls, and seem to be stronger than most young Vampires, as every hand-to-hand confrontation between the two races under normal circumstances has ended with a Lycan victory, the one exception being the Vampire Elders. Lycans can also use their claws and strength to scale sheer surfaces, having been seen to crawl along walls at great speed in pursuit of prey. They possess the ability to land on their feet without harm when falling from great heights. Lycans also possess superb physical resilience and remarkable regenerative abilities. Their recovery abilities are hampered by the presence of silver in their bodies. However, to older Lycans, the silver is rarely fatal, but it is fatal if it penetrates the internal organs. Silver is the Lycans' only weakness, as they seem to be violently allergic to it. A new variation on this is the use of silver nitrate bullets to inject the silver directly into a Lycan's bloodstream.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Although originally Lycans could only transform at the full moon, it is explained that the older a Lycan becomes in age, the more control they can exert over their transformation, to the point that they can change at will, possessing full mental control of their wolf form. In their wolf form, Lycans also have access to powerful jaws and razor-sharp fangs and claws, making them deadly close-quarters combatants. Inexperienced and new werewolves are at the mercy of the full moon.While older wolves can control their shift, newer wolves cannot.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Camera flashes and some video recording devices cause werewolves eyes to glow making them nearly impossible to photograph. They can apparently learn to control this effect.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx The werewolves also have a hierarchy. There is the Alpha, who is generally the oldest werewolf that can be found who wants to be Alpha. Alpha's because of their age are more powerful than other wolves, other than other old werewolves. The Omega who is considered the second in command. While they are one step below Alpha, they are still respected and must be listened too. Beta's are your average werewolf. Then there are the Pups. Pups are newly turned werewolves. They get the dirty work and aren't thought highly of.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Werewolves are also able to howl, and using this howl they can alert others to their location or find others based on it. Werewolves can also use their howls to communicate over long distances with others.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Werewolves are not immortal like vampires or hybrids. The have an extended life span which can last for up to 200 years. Their healing factor helps keep them looking younger until the reach the 150/160 mark in their life.

♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Hybrids:

♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Hybrids can only be born, not bitten. Since vampire bites do not effect werewolves, and werewolf bites do not effect vampires it is impossible to create a hybrid this way. Even a werewolf and a vampire biting a human at the same time does not work. Either one bite would win out or the human would die. They are created by procreation between vampires and werewolves. Can be born from female vampire or werewolf, does not matter which one.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Like a vampire they only have two forms. Their human form, which is normal aside from the slight overbite of their fangs that never fully retract. Then their hybrid form. Their hybrid form is similar to the half-human half-werewolf form of the lycans. They have no fur, but claws, fangs, tinted darker blue skin but not a full on new color. Their eyes also change color, the iris's to a light glowing blue like those of a vampire, while the whites of the eyes turn black(link & link).
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Hybrids because they are a mix of two better species are the most powerful beings in existence. Hybrids possess the combined abilities of both or more of their parent species, making them more powerful that either:
xxxxxxxxxxSuperhuman Strength: Even newly sired Hybrids possess strength equal to or slightly above that of a Vampire Elder. They can also bend steel with their grip, and can kill the oldest of all Werewolves by tearing the top-half of his head off shortly after reviving from death. The true upper limits of the strength of Hybrids is not known. But if they have a limit it is certainly very high.
xxxxxxxxxxSuperhuman Speed: Even having just turned, a Hybrid's speed surpasses that of both a Vampire and a Lycan, with their movements being almost unfollowable.
xxxxxxxxxxSuperhuman Endurance: Hybrids can sustain many punches, blows and other wounds by other superhumanly strong beings, while still being able to fight back.
xxxxxxxxxxSuperhuman Agility: Hybrids have a higher level of agility than both Lycan and Vampires alike.
xxxxxxxxxxSuperhuman Healing: Their regenerative abilities are much more powerful than normal Vampires and Lycans, allowing them to quickly heal from wounds and giving them total invulnerability to common allergies of silver and ultraviolet light. Hybrids even have the capacity to heal from death, given their bodies are still intact. However, this advanced healing factor is useless in cases of dismemberment.
xxxxxxxxxxImmunity to UV Light and Silver: Hybrids have expressed a complete immunity to UV light, able to stand in direct sunlight without being harmed. Hybrids on the other hand have only a limited immunity to silver. Direct wounds by silver weapons heal instantly with no harm caused to the Hybrid, but a weapon such as a silver nitrate grenade detonated inside such a Hybrid could kill one or very seriously injure.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Hybrids also have the roar of a werewolf.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Hybrids need to feed on blood. They can enjoy some but not a lot of human food, and some meats, but generally need blood to survive. Can be human, werewolf, vampire or hybrid blood. They cannot survive on meat or human food, but need blood.
♦◞ ● ❝xxxxx Until a hybrid is fully grown, they will age like any werewolf, vampire or even human. Once they reach maturity they stop aging and become immortal like their vampire half does.
