Teddy was a well-trained boy, Lulu had to give him that. Or maybe it should have been herself she was congratulating, afterall, someone had to do the training. In any case, he didn't keep her waiting very long and she was already headed toward the car before he unlocked the door for her. "Yeah, I was hoping I'd find someone at least mildly attractive," she replied as she opened the door. "But I guess I'll have to settle for you for," she added, sliding into the seat, her brow raised as she closed the door. Teddy made a big show about the sweat warmers following his comment on her outfit and she rolled her eyes, throwing her bag over into the backseat. "Yeah, you can think that if you want," she told him as she turned over in her seat. She was scanning the back seat of his car for a pair of sweatpants, or just something to warm her legs up for the drive. Nada. She shrugged, turning around and sitting down properly as they sped off. She supposed she would warm up fast enough.

It took her a moment to realise that she didn't have her seat belt on; the only thing that prompted the teen to pull the contraption across her body was the annoying sound emitting from the car. It was like an alarm, screaming at her to be more careful or something. As soon as they pulled up at the pizzeria, Lou un-clicked her belt and rested fully against the car seat; she was going to take advantage of the seat warmer as long as she was still able to. Teddy was talking about his grades and how he was going to be kicked off the wrestling team if he didn't get them up, and fast. Lulu turned her head so that she was looking at her friend directly and sighed in commiseration. If she had been any good at math herself, she would have offered to help him. "Can't you just enlist some nerd to tutor you? Or take your tests for you or something?"
She asked eventually, reaching for her bag as she thought on it a little longer.

"I'm sure you could just walk into a room, flash a smile and some lovely little Junior would be more than happy to assist you,"
she grinned, poking the boy in the side before getting out of the car. She slammed the door shut with more force than she had intended to, and waited for Teddy to appear across the roof of the car, slipping her bag on as she waited. "I bet you could even get a Senior if you tried hard enough." She said, walking to meet him on his side and the ushering him towards the restaurant. "Actually, I've found it to be pretty easy in the past, but maybe that's just because I'm fabulous," she laughed as the two were shown to a table and placed their orders quickly. They'd both trained that day in some form (Lulu had been for a run in the morning and to the gym after school) so naturally, they ordered enough food to feed an entire team. As they awaited their feast, Lou got the impression that Teddy wanted to move the conversation along to a different topic and so she went back to his earlier mention of Le Chique in the car. "So, Chique," she said, turning her phone over on the table top to spy messages dancing across the screen. "Looks like a few people are coming, should be an alright night." she said with a nod. Judging by the messages, Lou wasn't the only one intent on spiking the drinks. Everything and everyone was so much more fun when drunk. Their food arrived while messages kept coming through, so Lulu took her phone off the table and placed it in her lap. If there was one time the girl was polite, it was in the presence of food. Glorious food. But before she neglected it competently, she a reply to Spence

Just as she pressed send, another message came through, from her one of her partners in crime. Teddy was of course, the other. Tate's message was fine, normal even, except for one word. Need. Need was not a word Lulu liked hearing, or seeing, from a boy she'd slept with in the past 24 hours. She certainly didn't like in the way that, in the past, Tate had made it clear he meant it. Their... friendship... was confusing, even for Lulu who most of the time, was calling the shots. They were bros for the most part: they liked a lot of the same stuff and had both spent their fair share of time in ERs, but they also seemed to have a strange magnetism that drew them to one another at exactly the worst time possible. Those times included an incident that saw Lulu in Tate's bed right after she and Michael had broken up. Lulu and Tate had hooked up when they were home for the summer and occasionally throughout the school year, but by this, their senior year, they had come to the conclusion that they were better suited as friends. The only problem was that the lines between friendship and 'other' always seemed to get blurred.

She reread the message and figured that it could have been taken in a friendly manner. The wink-face hinted that it was in jest - didn't it? Jesus, even when she was more susceptible to forming 'crushes', she didn't analyse text messages this much. Especially not ones from boys. It was only when she heard a familiar voice from across the room that Lulu looked away from the screen. The boy whose message was causing her confusion was ordering himself a pizza. "Tate!"
Teddy bellowed before Lulu could do anything. The slight girl jumped in her seat, Teddy's shout was a thing of thunderous volume. "s**t, man," she hissed, her right hand on her chest as she recovered from the fright. "You made me spill," she complained, grabbing her napkin to wipe up the water that had poured onto the table when she had jumped. She glanced up as a waiter came to their table to wipe up and spotted Tate waving, indicating that he would join the two once his order was ready. Perfect.

She took off her light coat and shoes and picked out her AP English homework. She was so tired of homework already but she barely slept so it wasn't too hard to get it all done. It was just balancing homework and a life was pretty difficult.

She dumped her homework on the coffee table and went into her room to pick out something else to wear. Her new cute, short red dress was hanging on the back of the door but she didn't dare pick it up. Instead, Char went through her drawers and grabbed a pair of sweatpants and a tank. Quickly changing, she headed out of the room.

Picking up her homework and laying on her stomach on the couch, Char opened up the book and began to read. She had a little bit to catch up on since she only skimmed a chapter to make it to photography club the other day. Plus she had practice. Many people thought Char was either Superwoman or a vampire. She barely slept and she always found ways to keep up.

Charlotte sighed when her phone went off. Getting up and walking over to her purse by her backpack she pulled out her iphone. She read over her messages and then put the phone down, shaking her head. She was not up to going out now.

Of course a few moments later there was a knock on her door followed by Hugo pushing his way in with Spencer behind him. "Hugo!" There was no use arguing though. "Ugh. One sec!" Char walked back into the room she left not ten minutes before and changed into her red dress and strapped on some red heels. Good enough. Looking in the mirror, she fixed her makeup a bit and ruffled her hair. Perfect.

                                                                TIME SKIP

Arriving at Le Chic with Spencer and her twin, Char crossed her arms."Okay I'm here, I'm out." She rolled her eyes to be dramatic. "You win... as always." To be honest she didn't want to go out but she secretly hoped someone would force her out of the door so she had and excuse to go out.

                                                                • The sound of a heavy beat hit his ear drums with each stride he took as he completed his run for the day. He had to make sure that he stayed in shape for basketball season after all. He could already see the look on his coach’s face if he came back for workouts and couldn’t get through them. He would rather not get benched just because he had been too lazy to exercise during their off season. Unconsciously, he nodded his head along with the beat as he ended up back at the entrance to his dorm where he proceeded to stretch out his calves and back, getting a confused expression when the heavy sound of bass was suddenly replaced with a tinkling sound. Sam reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone again, answering without the checking the caller i.d., and immediately got the sunny voice of one of his friends. He’d barely gotten out a greeting before she’d launched into explaining to him in great detail why he needed to go to karaoke with their friend group that night, not even bothering to listen to his excuses, and believe me, they were numerous. He’d actually been thinking of inviting Dallas and Aiden over for a night of video games and pizza…but maybe he could still wiggle out of having to sing?

                                                                  ”Kenna…Kenna?”
Silence. What in the world was she doing? Sam blinked when her peppy voice suddenly came back over the phone and sighed when his phone made the telltale beeping noise, signaling that she’d ended the call. Looked like a night of video games and pizza wasn’t in his future anymore. He could only imagine the people she’d enlist to drag him out of his dorm if he tried to refuse to go. He shook his head in amusement before he started to go through the texts he’d missed, now seeing why she’d called him in the first place. A group of their friends would be going, so he guessed she was right – he really didn’t have an excuse for not going. Other than not wanting to get sucked into singing that is. Knowing her, it would be inevitable for all of them to do at least one song, or face the wrath of being called a chicken by her for the rest of their days. Sam placed his phone into his pocket after he’d read through the various replies to Lexi’s group text and entered his own of being forced to go, though his eyes zeroed in on Lexi’s last text. He might as well go keep her company in the book store, as he was sure the girls in their friend group were busy trying to get those like him off of their butts.

Sam shook his head once more before he jogged up the steps of the dorm and entered into the cool air, letting out a soft sigh. They all owed him a night in after this. In long strides he made it back to his room in record time, sliding into the room and looking around for any signs of life. He’d expected for someone to pop out the moment he’d walked into the door, but perhaps they were all getting dragged along to karaoke for the night. He really, really hoped that he would be able to distract Kenna and Eva long enough to make them forget about singing altogether. After all, there was no way that Lexi would want to get up there and sing in front of a bunch of their classmates. Not to mention, there was no doubt that the ‘popular’ crowd was going to be there and he didn’t want to make an embarrassment out of himself in front of them. It was already bad enough that he had to practice with half of them.

Now in his room, he plugged his phone into the charger before he hopped into the shower and cleaned off all of the work out sweat and germs from his body before he hopped out of the shower, cocking his head when his phone lit up with a text. He sauntered over curiously and unlocked his phone, a smile tugging at his lips when he read Kenna’s latest text telling him to escort Lexi from the bookstore to Le Chique. For once, he was already one step ahead of her. He finished drying off and changed into a new set of clothes before he grabbed his keys and phone and slipped out of his dorm and headed in the direction of Gringe, making it there in record time. Upon entering the bookstore, he immediately began to scan the aisles for a familiar redhead, locating her after a couple of trips. He smiled as he walked down the aisle towards her and wrapped her up in a hug, dropping his head to rest his chin on her hair. “Hey Lex,”
he greeted before he let go of her and took a couple of steps back, still smiling down at her. “Kenna told me to come make sure you didn’t get lost,” he started in a whisper, “but between me and you, I was coming to see you anyway,” he finished with a goofy grin and an over-exaggerated wink.

                                              • There was a cloud of smoke swirling above his head as Hassan took the last few puffs of his joint, closing his eyes as he savored the last few dregs, blowing out the last of the weed with his next breath. Now that he was in his favorite state to be in, he could focus on what the night was to hold. The male opened the bathroom door and walked back into his room and grabbed his phone, flicking through the text messages he’d received during his break. The first brought a coy smile to his face as he bypassed it in favor of the next one. He knew that Taylor already knew she would get her way that night. After all, it wasn’t often he could say no to her. The next was from his bae, as he affectionately called him and he bypassed that message as well. Hugo of all people knew that he pretty much refused to go anywhere without the promise of being able to get cross-faded. With those read and the plan obvious to meet at Le Chique, he returned to his bathroom and opened one of the cabinets and did his normal routine of putting in eye drops and then sprayed some Axe before he left the bathroom once more, grabbing his phone and wallet in the process. As an afterthought, he stuck a piece of gum into his mouth and then jogged down the stairs to the kitchen and opened the pantry, taking in the contents before his gaze landed on what he’d been searching for.

The mini bottles of practically anything anyone would want to mix a drink with. He grabbed a couple darks, a couple lights, and stuck the individual bottles into his jacket pockets before he picked two cases up and headed out to his car where he popped the trunk and put the cases inside. No point in going someplace without alcohol without extra. With that done, he got into his car and headed in the direction of Le Chique. As always, parking was a b***h so he had to circle a few times before he finally found a spot, or rather made his own, and then got out of the car, locking the doors behind him. A buzz in his pocket alerted him to a message and he fished his phone out of his jeans and scanned the text, rolling his eyes. One day he was going to kill his father’s assistant.

With his phone back in its place, he walked over to the door and opened it. His eyes adjusted to the dimly lit club and his chocolate gaze searched for those he knew, stopping on a table with Ryder surrounded by many of the losers of the school. He merely raised an eyebrow in response before he strolled over to where he’d spotted Hugo, Spencer, and Char. As he approached the table, he sent them all a charming smile. “Three of my favorite people,”
he crooned and stuck his hands into his jeans pockets once he’d joined them, though his gaze still searched around for – ah, there she was. One of the reasons he would be thoroughly intoxicated, and most likely the reason he actually would leave the club early…other than the horrendous karaoke. If anything, he would move the party to his house where there would be real alcohol and all sorts of reasons for girls to be in various state of undress, and most importantly, none of the losers that went to school with them. “This, is for you handsome,” he said to Hugo with a wink as he reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a miniature bottle of whiskey. For the girls, he pulled out Vodka with and passed them over with his signature lopsided smile. “Don’t get too drunk before I get back,” he teased as he started to walk to the bar, where he then ordered himself a mocktail of his own.

Once he’d received his drink, he journeyed over to where Taylor was sitting and dropped into the seat across from her and began to mix his own alcohol into his drink. “What is someone as beautiful as you doing all by your lonesome?”
he asked as he swirled his drink with the tip of his index finger before he looked up at her with a smirk on his face. “Don’t you know bad people like me wait for pretty girls like you to be all alone?” he finished before he took a gulp of his mocktail and grimaced slightly before he added more alcohol to the mixture. He really didn’t understand how anyone could get a mocktail and be perfectly content with life. “I’m dying to know though sweetheart, why would I leave such a festive shindig early?” He was perfectly aware of why he would, and very aware of exactly why he should leave with her, but it was always so much fun to tease Taylor.

Cutting the engine, Teddy turned to face his friend. It was an interesting proposition. He could easily enlist the help of some junior to bring up his grades. The majority of their US History grade was based on three major papers. If he could reel in some random junior to write his papers, their teacher would never know the difference. Tapping the tip of his chin absentmindedly, he got out of the car and followed Lulu into the pizzeria.

"So, you just pay some kid to do your homework for you?" he asked, or rather, thought out loud. "Or are you saying I should seduce someone to do it for me?"

Teddy and Lou ordered their usual: three 12'' pizzas, a few plates of wings, and a large side of mac n cheese to share. It had become somewhat of a ritual. It was either Dexter's or the burger place down the street. Dexter's, of course, was always the preferred choice. Nodding along as Lou mapped out their plans for the night, Teddy scanned the restaurant for any hotties. His wandering eyes fell on another waitress. His eyes trailed down her long blonde hair, following the curves of her figure, and down to her toned legs. Checking her out, as she leaned over to take someone else's order, Teddy finally snapped to when he realized it was their friend Tate.

"Tate!" he hollered. "Get over here!"

Teddy smirked as Lou nearly jumped from her seat, but frowned when the male waiter decided to come over to help Lou with her spill instead of Tate's hottie. Nodding in Tate's direction as he joined their table, he motioned to Tate's previous waitress. "Did you catch her name? Maybe you can replace our waiter with yours," he proposed. Tate was probably one of his closest friends. It was a blessing and curse since his twin sister was a serious babe. She, of course, was off limits. Though, it didn't stop him from flirting with the girl. Summer was his running and partying buddy after all. The boundaries set in their friendship was probably for the better anyways.

Nearly drooling as their food came in, Teddy grabbed a slice of BBQ chicken pizza without a second's hesitation. Wolfing down food, Teddy and Tate shared similar sentiments about failing classes. Teddy shook his head as he mentioned coach's response to his grades as of late. "I don't know. Coach has never threatened to throw me off the team before. I feel like this time it's different," he muttered between gulps of soda. "Lou thinks I should hire someone to help me. Know anyone, Tate?" he asked. Finally taking his eyes off his slice of pizza, he dropped his pizza on his plate to grab a hold of Tate's arm. "You been working out a lot lately Tate? Looking swol, man!" he gushed as he felt Tate's biceps. "You down to hit Le Chique later? I'm sure there will be plenty of cuties," he asked. "I mean, both male and female," he added, looking towards Lou. When Teddy and Tate got together, they sometimes got a little caught up in their own bromance.

Finishing off the rest of the mac n cheese, he nodded to Tate. "Oh, by the way, you know that red-headed chick I went home with the other night? She was wild, man. And she's got four tickets to see Luda perform next weekend. She's bringing a friend and from what I've seen on Facebook, she'd be perfect for you. Super cute. You down?" The usual awkwardness that surrounded Tate and Lou was absolutely beyond Teddy. He was usually too absorbed in his own thoughts to ever notice. He continued speculating how the night would go down and whether or not the girl's friend would be as hot as her pictures. But speaking of cute chicks, Teddy's eyes travelled over to Tate's former waitress. Ushering the cute blonde over, he leaned in and whispered into her ear. Pulling away, he winked at the blushing girl. Casually pulling out his phone, he handed it to her. The exchange was quick and very natural. Almost as though they'd rehearsed it a million times. Though once she was gone, Teddy flipped his phone back open and texted Tate's twin sister, Summer.

Really? He was going to skip out on them sipping fruity drinks and having a grand old time to go shopping? She knew he was a big guy, but sheesh! The door finally swung open and she opened her mouth to do her usual barking greeting, stopping instantly when she was met with a bare-chested, freshly showered Beau. Immediately, she tried to keep her gaze on his, clearing her throat softly. Lexi. Think of Lexi. Best friend, which is what Beau was as well. No ogling over your best friend. “You do know I’m not going to leave you alone until you agree to come to Le Chique with us tonight, right?” she asked and raised an eyebrow at him before she ducked under his arm and entered his dorm, completely ignoring the fact that it was an invasion of privacy. She hoped that by this point all of her friends understood that personal space and privacy was pretty much was pretty much a thing of the past when she was on a mission.

“Are we gonna do this the easy way, or the hard way cher?”
she drawled, her already thick Cajun accent coming out in full force and she bounced through the small space and sat down onto the couch without much preamble. She crossed her legs and glanced over and up at him before sending him a sunny smile. “You can always just go shopping after,” she started, mentally going down a list of incentives for him to leave his room. “There’s food,” she sang, pouting slightly when he still didn’t look any more convinced. “And mocktails?” Not anything that would make her happy, but maybe a fruity drink would be incentive for him. Who was she kidding? He definitely wasn’t a fruity person. Her next ammo was Lexi, however, she doubted that would go over well so it was time for the next best thing. “Can you really stand to see the pouting faces of me, Lexi, and Kenna?” she asked and then proceeded to do her best impression of a puppy dog face. If that didn’t work, she still had one more ace up his sleeve – the one sure fire way to any man’s heart.

“Orrr, how about a trade? You come with us to Le Chique and I’ll make your favorite meal ever,”
she sang and raised her eyebrows at him temptingly. Her mother had always said you could get someone to practically do anything with the promise of a good home cooked meal. She had no idea what sort of meal that would be for Beau, but she was always down for a challenge. After staring at him hopefully for what she deemed was ample enough time, she simply leaned back into the couch and crossed her arms. “You do realize that I’m not leaving until you agree to come, right?” she informed him and then pulled her phone into her view as if to emphasize her point. She started to scroll through her Tumblr dashboard as she waited for Beau to give into her pleas, already thinking of even more ways to get him and Lexi alone together.

                                                                  • Kenna definitely hadn’t been expecting Aiden’s door to open almost as soon as she’d gotten there, nor did she expect to see said male standing there pretty much naked. The blonde blinked a few times as she looked up at Aiden, pretty much missing everything he’d said in favor of silently ogling him and hoping that she wasn’t making it too obvious. That is, until he complimented her. Her eyes snapped up to his and she sent him a bright smile, hoping that he didn’t see the blush that was no doubt gracing her cheeks. “Thanks! I’d say the same about you, but, well, you’re kinda nakie,” she finished with a giggle. He definitely looked good though, not that she would tell him without being coerced into it. She stepped into the dorm and crossed over to sit down on the couch, trying not to look around her and immediately clean everything. She knew guys were messy, but geeze! This was just another reason she was happy she’d convinced her mom to pay the extra so that she could have a studio all to herself. At least when she cleaned she knew all of the mess was hers, and what had been done with it.

Aiden’s voice emerged from one of the bedrooms and she cocked her head curiously as she listened before she started to pout. “You’re cheating on me? Rude,”
she called back in response before she started laughing. She felt bad for whatever poor girl had been subjected to his sweaty hug. At least she had semi-decently gotten used to him popping out of nowhere and getting her all stinky after his workouts. She really couldn’t quite say she was jealous in the slightest. Once his brown mop of hair emerged from the bedroom, Kenna got to her feet and bounced over to the door and entered into the hallway, gesturing for him to hurry up. “You smell beautiful. So much better than any other time,” she teased once he got close enough to her for her to smell his cologne. She reached out and wrapped an arm around him and gave him a side-hug in greeting before she started to walk towards the exit. “I almost like clean hugs more than sweaty ones,” she informed him with a small smile as they started to make their way down the hallway. So much better than the sweaty hugs he’d give her after he was done with practice or working out. Which reminded her…

Kenna reached out and pushed him in the middle of his back, huffing softly he barely even moved a couple of inches. “That was for giving away my hug,”
she announced as she quickened her pace to get in time with her longer strides. She sent him a smile to indicate that she was just kidding and before long, the pair was out of the dorm and on their way to Le Chique. “I’m pretty sure Sam, Lexi, Eva, and Beau are going to meet us there,” she told him as an ater thought as they walked, trying to fill the silence. She didn’t know what it was. In a crowd of people, or in most cases surrounded by their friends, she could talk to Aiden without any problems at all. It was only when they were alone that she got all nervous and blushy, and in her opinion, started looking like an idiot. “Did you have a good work out?” It was better than nothing as an ice breaker, and a much safer topic than anything else she could think of at the moment.

Connor's last class was always swimming. The whistle blew signalling the class was over, and since it was Friday, there was no practice. Connor finished the lap he was on before pulling out of the water. Dripping wet, he made his way to his towel only to wrap it around his waist, then slipped on his flip flops and waddled over to the showers. Wet swim trunks were always the worst feeling. The brunette boy quickly stripped out of his trunks when he reached the shower and washed all the fresh chlorine off of his body and out of his hair. Spending so much time here, he often smelt like a pool, no matter how hard he tried to scrub the smell out of himself. The shower was quick, once the smell had subsided somewhat, he quickly wrapped the towel around his waist again and made his way to his locker, which wasn't a far walk thankfully. Connor hated walking around in just a towel, the other guys in the locker room enjoyed yanking it off.

His short walk was interrupted, unfortunately, as some jock reached over and quickly yanked the towel from his body. Connor sighed and shook his head. "Guys, if you really wanted to see me naked, all you had to do was ask nicely." He said, winking at one of the guys. They all grumbled, obviously not getting the reaction they had wanted, not like they ever did. Connor didn't care if people saw him naked, it wasn't like they had different parts. Shaking his head again, he walked to his locker in his birthday suit, grabbing another towel once he was there and using it to dry off. Suddenly, a wet wad flew at his face, sticking there for a few seconds before falling to the ground. His wet stolen towel. "Thanks guys, I really love that towel." He mumbled before tossing both towels into the dirty laundry basket. Getting dressed didn't take long, as he made quick work of it, just throwing on a pair of athletic shorts and a t-s**t to get to his house, he would change when he got there.

Exiting the locker room, he walked over to his truck, which was always parked by the pool to shorten the walk he had to make to get back to it at the end of the school day. Once at his truck, he threw his wet clothing bags into the back bed and hopped inside, heading off to his house about ten minutes away. Once there, he walked inside through the back entrance right as his phone went off. Connor didn't even have time to check it before his mother appeared, snatching his wet clothing and presenting him with a list of tasks. He sort of tuned her out, but he did catch something about getting his dirty clothes into the laundry room and taking out the trash. When she stopped talking he nodded and went to his room, piling up the dirty clothes that accumulated on the floor and setting them in a hamper to take back downstairs. He then went to work on changing into a better outfit for the night. Happy Hour at Le Chique, it was fun, per say, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and that's where they would all be for sure. The outfit he ended up picking was simple, but it worked. Connor grabbed the hamper and headed back downstairs, dropping it off in the laundry room and snatching the bag of trash his mother was taking about. One kiss in her cheek as he passed and Connor was heading outside to his truck. As he passed the trashcans, he tossed the bag into one, then hopped into his truck again.

Once in his car, he reached for his phone to reply to Poppy before driving off.

After tapping send, he drove off to Chique, which wasn't far at all as the Grey's lived rather close to downtown. Once there, he parked on the street about a block away and headed to the teenage hotspot. When he got inside, he quickly spotted his closest friends, and Ryder? Connor didn't question it, he simply walked up to the group with a smile. "Sorry I'm late, did I miss anything?"

A shiny layer of sweat glistened on Summer's body as she took the final strides of her run and stopped in front of the building that held the girls dorms. She took the blaring music from her ears and pulled the ipod from the strap on her arm, wrapping the earbuds around the small device before opening the door to her building. The suite she lived in with her childhood best friend Alex was a couple floors up so she headed towards the elevator. As the compartment dinged signaling reaching her desired floor, Summer pulled her room key from her pocket, she was beyond ready for a shower.

The moment she opened the door to her own room Summer stripped out of her sweat cover clothes, throwing them into the bin beside her door. Her shower was quick and painless, the small blonde didn't like spending much time in the shower, she much preferred baths. Stepping out of her small shower Summer used her plush white towel to dry herself off, then tossed it to the side and headed back into her bedroom. It was in that moment a familiar blonde had decided to enter her room ”Alex! Learn to knock” she laughed, watching as the girl dived onto the bed and buried her face in the mountain of pillows Summer slept with. ”You know I'm naked almost any time I'm alone in my room, yet you still come in without warning me every single time. This is your fault"

Summer made her way to her to her bedside table and reached down for her phone, which had a little green light blinking to let her know she had some text messages waiting on her. Sliding her phone's unlock screen over, she was greeted with three fresh texts, one from Alex, the next from her dear, over protective brother Tate, and the other from Teddy, another close friend. Throwing her phone on the bed next to her best friend, Summer turned around and walked to her dresser, pulling out some casual clothes ”looks like Le Chique is the place to be tonight Alex, everyone's going to be there” she grinned. If Teddy was at Le Clique, then her big annoying brother was sure to be there as well. ”Karaoke it is, I'm decent by the way” she said picking her phone back up

                              will I see you there?

Getting up Summer threw her phone into her favourite purse and slung it over her shoulder ”Are you going to just lay there all day or are we going to get this party started?” she asked, placing one hand elegantly on her hip and opening the door with the other.

Honey eyes danced down aisles that were filled to the brim, and overflowing with numerous tales that Lex would love to find herself lost in. Her fingers tapped along the paper bound edges pulling out a few here and there flipping through the crisp pages, the smell of aged paper, or fresh ink reaching her nostrils. She smiled to herself, momentarily lost in her own little world until she felt the familiar discomfort of someone else’s eyes on her. She looked up from the pages of the book she was flipping through, to meet the gaze of some strange blonde girl who was whispering to her friend as they stared and laughed at her. Had she done something funny? Instantly she felt the heat rise to her cheeks, and the tell-tale sign of a blush covered her delicate skin. She quickly pulled the book towards her face, hiding behind the safety of its cover. She had almost forgotten again that she was in public, which meant there were people around. People she didn’t know who would stare at her, laugh at her, or even if they weren’t doing anything at all, just make her feel completely out of place. She momentarily succumbed to her anxiety, a slight tremor running through her fingers as she closed the book and pushed it back in place. She knew it was something she had to get used to, and she was doing far better at it, but when someone was openly laughing at her for a reason she couldn’t seem to comprehend, she always felt like she had taken two steps backwards in her progress.

The jingle of her phone pulled her out of her thoughts, forcing her to focus her attention on the device and not the blonde who had already lost interest in her and was wandering off, no doubt to laugh at some other poor sap. She scrolled through the messages, her heart plummeting to her stomach, filling her with nausea as she read and re-read Eva’s reply. A duet, her friend wanted to do a duet. Of course she did. Lexi should have expected that, yet she hadn’t. She’d assumed, or more hoped that because she’d taken the initiative to agree to go to Chique without any prompting she’d be exempt from getting on a stage and embarrassing herself, even if it was in front of a group of friends. That tremor of her fingers continued as she contemplated her reply. Eva was just trying to help her out of her shell, and of course she was willing to do just about anything for her friend, but the thought of singing in front of people still made her nervous. Surely she didn’t really expect her to do it right? Maybe if she played sick she could get out of it. She tried to fake a cough, hoping it would sound convincing, but knew instantly no one would fall for it. She sighed, deciding to go with her next best option. Sarcasm, something she was learning from said bestie.

                                                  User Image

The red head hit send, scrolling through the rest of the replies of everyone agreeing to go, before returning to her task of finding herself a good book to read. She roved the aisles, eyes finally stopping on a collection of Rick Riordan books, she’d read a few in the past that had interested her but stopped reading once it came to waiting for the next in the series to come out. She picked up the last two in the series that she hadn’t read wondering if they would keep her as entertained as the previous ones. Her eyes scanned the back reading through the little synopsis, losing herself once again in her own little world.

All the muscles in her body tightened as a pair of muscular tan arms wrapped around her pulling her into a hug. She let out a little squeak of surprise, dropping the books in her hand as a familiar voice reached her ears. She breathed in a sigh of relief wrapping her arms around Sam, returning his hug. She was relieved it was him and not some random stranger who didn’t know boundaries. His chin rested on top of her head, causing her to bury her face into his chest, as a dozen butterflies started to swarm through her stomach. He pulled away from her stepping back as he whispered to her, and gave her his trademark goofy grin, and wink. She giggled, a tinge of red covering her cheeks at his words. She couldn’t entirely explain it or really fully understand it, but every time she was around him she was always filled with these strange feelings, a sense of vertigo, that didn’t make her want to throw up but made her jittery and nervous instead, the blush at just about anything he said, and the quickened pace of her heart every time they came in contact. Eva would probably know what the feeling was, but she was far too embarrassed to really explain it to her, passing it off as how anyone would feel towards one of their best friends. “That’s so thoughtful of you! Good thing you showed up. I was debating on ditching everyone; You and Kenna must have used that psychic intuition of yours to foresee that.” She joked grinning up at Sam, who was at least a head taller than she was. She bent down, picking up the books she dropped to the floor and headed towards the checkout counter, grabbing Sam’s arm as she went, pulling him along beside her. “Eva wants to do a duet, and I’m sure Kenna’s gonna rope you into doing one too, so we need an escape plan.” She mumbled as the lady behind the check-out counter scanned her books, and swiped her mother’s credit card. She knew Sam didn’t want to sing just as much as Lexi didn’t, though their reasons were entirely different. “I was thinking every time they mention one of us singing we excuse ourselves to replenish drinks.”

The pair left the bookstore behind them and headed towards Le Chique which was already filled with most of Morewood’s student population, most of which were popular students, something Lexi was not. She was extremely thankful in that moment to have Sam by her side. Had she tried to go there by herself to meet her gang of friends she more than likely would have talked herself out of it and returned back to the comfort of her dorm room the moment she saw the crowd. Hell she was still tempted, but instead her hands wrapped around Sam’s arm in a firm hold. “I-I t-think we’re the first ones here. Maybe we should grab a table and some drinks.” She stammered out, her honey eyes gazing over the crowd of familiar strangers. “I'm so glad you're here with me.” She murmured before falling once again into a state of silence.

Running around the school campus got pretty boring after a while, but that was the best way coach had for the cross country team to practice. Checking his watch one more time, Landon took note that practice was almost up. He rounded the corner of the dorm building before altering his route to run back towards the gym where the locker room was. As soon as he slowed to a walk, the alarm on his watch went off signalling practice was over. Perfect timing, he had just walked into the locker room to get showered. Now, to be clear, there was no practice on Fridays, but Landon ran anyway, he always did, to keep his stamina up. Reaching into his locker, he found his phone and replied to Lex and texted Dayna.

                                [To] Lex
I'll be at Chique most likely, I'll
let you know when I decide.

                                [To] Dayna
Heading to your place, Chique tonight?

Stuffing his phone back into his bag, Landon grabbed a towel and some soap and walked over to the showers. He had worked up a decent sweat, and as fun as it was to hug his chick friends when he was gross and sweaty, he may see the girl he liked tonight, and that was down right unattractive. His shower went by quickly, he was never one to enjoy being naked in front of other guys long. As he got out, he spotted the towel snatchers getting their latest victim: Connor. Landon ducked around the row of lockers closest to him to avoid the group of jerks, then took the detoured way back to his locker where he made quick work of getting dressed.

Landon ducked out of the locker room and headed towards his car in the parking lot. The drive to Dayna's was like second nature to him, and he was there pretty quickly. Pulling up in the driveway he parked off to the side so he wouldn't be in the way, then walked over to the window he knew was her's. Of course, he could go knock on the door, but that wasn't cheesy enough for him. Landon grabbed some rocks out of the flower bed and started tossing them at the window, musing over how stupid this would be if she weren't in her room, but deciding not to care.

You know those jerks that steal other guys' towels in the locker room? Yeah Micheal wasn't one of them, but he knew the guys who did, and he did get a good laugh out of it. The guys had just stollen the towel of some swimmer. Micheal wasn't in the locker room to shower, it was a bi-week, so there was no game, and coach had gone easy on the guys and had them spend the whole class watching a football movie, so all Micheal had to do was get his backpack out of the locker room, and he was free. The Towel Posse made their way back to him, for some reason, he wasn't too concerned about it, well, that is until he got his a** smacked with a towel whip. "Dude!" He said with a laugh, shaking his head and grabbing his bag.

The walk to his dorm wasn't very far, it was the old elevator that was slower than his grandmother that took so long. He tapped against the side of the elevator as he rode up to the fourth floor. He roomed with Teddy Bellerose, well he had his own room in the apartment they shared, they didn't have beds in the same room. Stripping out of his school uniform the second he crossed into his room, Micheal changed into some jeans and a t-shirt and messed with his hair a bit, it had gotten all out of place and he wanted to smooth it out a little before showing up at Chique. Stuffing his wallet in his jeans pocket, and then some mini alcohol bottles into his jacket pockets, couldn't go to a place that didn't serve alcohol without alcohol in your pockets.

Leaving his room, Micheal took notice that Teddy wasn't there perhaps he'd be there tonight. Adjusting his jacket just a bit, Micheal left his room and locked the doors behind him. His car was parked a bit of a walk from his dorm, in the middle parking lot near the center of campus. Why he parked their was beyond his knowledge, stupid decision on his part. When he finally made his way to his car, he slipped inside and drove off, parking on the street nearby the hit hangout of the town.

Getting inside was a piece of cake, and he headed to the table with Char, Hugo, and Spencer. Spence sitting on Hugo's lap as always. He took note of Hassan off in the corner with Taylor, and decided not to go over there. He wasn't that big of a c**k block. "Everyone." he greeted with a nod, and sat down at the table. He reached into his pocket and pulled out one of the mini rum bottles and wiggled it in the air "Did we come prepared?". He held it at an angle where none of the security guards could see. Found with alcohol and you would quickly be thrown out on your a**.

                                                                • Sam didn’t even bother to hide his grin at her freaked out reaction and chuckled quietly under his breath as he watched her gain her composure. He’d have to make a note to do that more, since she was that easily frightened. “Our psychic intuition and the threat of Eva killing us if you didn’t show up. I think she’s working on pulling Beau out of his dorm right now,” Sam said with a light chuckle. There really was no stopping the females of his friend group. He was just hoping that Dallas would get pulled to Le Chique by his sister and Abby as opposed to the two self-appointed planners in their group. Sam made a move to help Lexi grab the books that had fallen when he’d surprised her, relaxing once more when she simply scooped all of them up in one go. He took a step back and waited for her to continue her scoping of the titles, sure that she hadn’t gotten all of the books that she wanted. To his surprise, she grabbed him and started towards the cashier. He guessed she’d been browsing around for longer than he’d originally thought. Sam glanced over and down at her at her mentioning of a duet and chuckled. At least someone else was on the same page as him.

                                                                  “I’m sick, I can’t sing,”
he muttered and let out a raspy cough that he felt was more than convincing. At least, convincing enough for his purposes for that night. “Let’s just hope that they want to eat instead of sing,” he muttered after her, though he knew that there was no way in hell that was going to happen. Eva would be semi-easy to convince out of singing, that is, she would probably really only sing if she was drunk and luckily for them, mocktails were on the menu. Kenna, on the other hand, didn’t care either way. She’d sing regardless of who was there and what they thought of her, all because she felt everyone needed a good laugh. “Maybe they’ll convince Aiden and Dallas to sing with them instead,” he murmured wistfully. It wasn’t that he couldn’t sing, it was that he would prefer not to with all of the Morewood population there. There would no doubt be more than just the ‘unpopulars’ there, and he refused to embarrass himself just because his friends wanted to have a little fun. Once the cashier handed Lexi the bag, the two headed out of the store towards Le Chique. Already, he could feel his stomach starting to turn into knots at the thought of all of the people who were already there. He really, really wished he’d stayed in his room and played video games all night.

Once the pair entered into the club, Sam’s brown gaze surveyed the room quickly, before landing on a table of people that they could sit with, though there would most likely not be enough space once their whole friend group got there. At Lexi’s soft suggestion, he nodded and started to walk towards the tables closest to the rear of the club. That way Eva and Kenna wouldn’t be tempted to get on stage without having a lot of eyes on them. The thought alone was enough to make him not even want to bring up the suggestion of duets. Once they’d chosen a table, they both sat down and he sent a look over the room again, waiting for any familiar people to pop up. “I guess I’ll go get some drinks, and you stay here so that they know where to go?”
he suggested and stood up, not expecting to have arms wrap around his torso.

“Leavin’ so soon? I don’t think so,”
Eva drawled from behind him and he let out a soft breath he hadn’t realized he’d been holding in. Now that she was there, it would be easier to not make a complete fool of himself. Instead of replying, he patted her on the top of the head, something he knew she hated immensely, before he nodded his head towards Beau who had just walked up behind her.

“I was going to get drinks?”
he responded sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head. He was pretty sure that was the right thing to do in this situation, right? At her warm laugh and push towards the bar, he figured that he’d gotten the okay to do what he’d been going to do in the first place. Sam started his trek towards the bar, this time with Beau in tow. The males grabbed enough drinks for the four of them before they rejoined the girls at the table.

After Ry had greeted the blonde, her phone began buzzing. She checked it to see that Lulu had messaged her. The phone buzzed again, this time with a message from Spence. Both girls expressed an interest for spiking mocktales at Le Chique. At least she didn't have far to go to find the party. Looking back up as she placed her phone on her lap, she smiled at the girl across from her. "I'm diggin' the shoes, babe." The words slid from her mouth as if they were the truth, but they were anything but. The trickster hadn't even noticed the other's shoes, and thankfully so. Before anymore words could be exchanged, a blonde boy walked up. Freddie was his name. He reminded her of the leader from Scooby-Doo, only in looks however. His personality was nothing like that of the cartoon character. As he stammered out a greeting, she looked him over. He didn't look that bad tonight. Minus the bag. "I'm just great." Ryder tried to muster up the courtesy to ask how he was in return, but then lost all interest.

Taking a look around, the club was quickly filling up with people. She began to hear the horrendous sound of a tone deaf couple starting the first song. She had forgotten that the owners didn't find karaoke to be a form of torture, and if they did, oh well. It brought money in. Once again, a buzzing captured Ryder's attention. This time it was Tay, also asking about the club.

TO: Tay
FROM: Ryder
MSG: Already there boo

A voice filled Ry's ears, a voice that she tried desperately tried to block. She already knew who it was before even looking up from her phone. Hitting send, she looked at the redhead with a sneer as she greeted her. If there were a list of people Ryder couldn't stand, Fiona would be at the top of that list. In reality, she would be the top five. The girl ruined all of her fun and tried to reason with others to "see the truth" about Ryder. Fi just had to act like the hero saving a naive spirit from the grasp of the villain's trickery and lies. It wasn't just that the redhead tried her hardest to save others, but it was her lineage. In Ryder's eyes, she was the spawn of two of the cruelest, most vile people on the planet. Just being around Fiona made the girl angry. Thankfully, Ryder realized that there was salvation. Her friends were all sitting further towards the back.

Another male came up to the group. For a moment the girl struggled with his name --Carl? Cole?-- before remembering it. The one that Fiona had been whining about; her boy toy. Standing up, Ryder gave a farewell to the group, "This was nice and all, but I should go. Poppy, if you want to have some real fun just come find me. I can spice up that mocktail of yours." The suggestion of drinking would probably be enough for the innocent girl to be curious and explore the option.

Ryder headed towards the table that held Hugo, Spencer, Char, and Micheal. She noticed her best friend sitting with Hassan. Part of her wanted to go sit with Tay and hang out, but she knew not to interrupt the two. There would be another time for the girls to talk and party. Getting closer to the table she realized that Micheal had something in his hand. Strolling up behind him, she put her hands on his shoulder and leaned down, nearly resting her head on his shoulder. "Is that what I think it is? she asked, taking a look at the bottle. "Are you trying to get in good favor with my favorite?" she whispered before reluctantly removing her hands from the boy and taking her own seat. "Hey guys," she smirked, finally greeting the others.

”So do you got anything special planned for tonight?” Tate asked with a small grin tugging up on the corners of his lips. His waitress smiled at him, looked down and twirled her hair. ”Playing hard to get?” Tate asked leaning a little closer. She pushed a strand of hair behind her ear and said ”Tonight? Isn’t that a little too sud-“
” Tate! Get over here!" a familiar voice cut off the pretty waitress and Tate’s grin grew wider as he turned his head to see his boo aka his best friend, Teddy. Next to Teddy was Lulu, which just caused Tate’s smile to grow even wider. He waved to the two and motioned that he would go to them once he got his order. He turned back to the waitress and winked, ”Sorry, I guess I have to bounce since my friends are here. Why don’t you keep this.” Tate handed her number, picked up his food, and headed towards the table. ”Hey you two lovebirds,” Tate joked as he sat down at their table and smiled at the two of them. ” Did you catch her name? Maybe you can replace our waiter with yours," Teddy asked and Tate shook his head. ”Sorry man, you got me too excited and I wanted to be with you as soon as possible, but I did remember to slip my digits to her. But then again there was this girl that I was with last night…” Tate took a huge bite into his pizza and winked at Lulu. The two bros smoothly transitioned into a chat about how both were failing just about every single subject.

”I don't know. Coach has never threatened to throw me off the team before. I feel like this time it's different. Lou thinks I should hire someone to help me. Know anyone, Tate?”

”Baby, I am in the exact same boat. I might this time really be off the soccer team. As for tutors, I do have a really cute one… her name is Abby, but I can’t share her, since I have to use her every day. Though I bet she has tons of other cute, smart nerd girls. I can ask her to hook you up with one… Though hook up as in you use a tutor, don’t… don’t sleep with your tutor. Did that last time and god that was just bad for my grades.” Tate dragged a hand through his hair and stole the remaining bit of pizza that Teddy dropped and stuffed it into his mouth as the other boy felt Tate’s bicep. Tate smirked and flexed.

”You been working out a lot lately Tate? Looking swol, man!"

”Thank babe, just trying to keep up with you. Such a beauty.” Tate put his hand on Teddy’s hand and stared into her eyes a moment, both of them too caught up in their romantic bromance to pay some attention to Lulu.

”You down to hit Le Chique later? I'm sure there will be plenty of cuties. I mean, both male and female.”

”Cuties? Who could be any more cuter than you Teddy bear? But cute girls does sound enticing. Definitely thinking about hitting up Le Chique.” Teddy turned to Lulu, put his elbows on the table, and rested his face on his arms, ”You going too Lulu?” There was always some awkward feeling in the air between them, probably cause they were not quite sure what to call each other. They hooked up now and then, but Tate had some confusing feelings towards Lulu that he himself didn’t fully understand and she was likely feeling slightly the same. Tate smiled widely at Lulu, before turning his attention back to his bromate.

”Oh, by the way, you know that red-headed chick I went home with the other night? She was wild, man. And she's got four tickets to see Luda perform next weekend. She's bringing a friend and from what I've seen on Facebook, she'd be perfect for you. Super cute. You down?"

”Man that girl was smoking and Luda? Hm.. hot girl, possible hook up, and good music? Babe, you just gave me a few of favorite things. And then I don’t feel so bad.” Tate finished up his food, left a tip on the table, stood up, and held out a hand to Lulu.

”Milady, shall we start heading off to the party?”
