THE STORY

tab It is summer after high school and three best friends who have been with each other for so long decide to go on a trip together before they all leave for college. They have already planned everything a month before graduation, about the same time they were filling in college applications. Now, all that's left is to wait for either acceptance or rejection letters. They have made plans with Boy One's cousin who lives in the country and decided to stay there for at least two months. Boy One is going to take two of his closest friends, Girl One and Boy Two with him. The three of them were popular in high school. Boy One and Two were athletes while Girl One was a member of the Student Council. It was no wonder that Boy One and Girl One were voted Prom King and Queen at their Spring Fling. They are dating each other but lately, things are not going so well. This summer, they will find out if they can stay together or completely fall apart. Meanwhile, Boy Two has been hopping from one girl to another ever since his senior year.

tab Boy One's cousin, Girl Two has two close friends as well. As it is also their last summer before they go to college, they will be joining her cousin and his friends in the cottage that her parents own. Girl Two has never been in a relationship before, although, she sort of likes Boy Three. However, she has come to realize that he will never return her feelings. Boy Three had just broken up with his girlfriend whom he had been dating for over a year. Girl Three is in a physical relationship with someone which means she's not really in love with him. Aside from these relationship drama, there are other kinds of conflicts each one of them must face. All of them are still trying to figure things out and make it into the adult world.

tab Additionally, upon their arrival, it has been found out that the cottage they will be living in is in near ruins. They need to figure out a way to make it habitable as there's nowhere else to stay. They can barely afford a hotel for two days, what more for two months. No, each of them must simply find work to be able to pay for the things they will need to fix the cottage as well as their needs. It's not exactly an all-expense paid trip.

RULES AND GUIDELINES

tab First and foremost, follow Gaia ToS at all times. Do not Godmod. Romance and drama is definitely encouraged but fade to black when things get PG13. Please try to post three to five times a week. I would really like this to be fast paced. Let us know if you won't be able to post for a while. Keep everyone involved, don't ignore other characters trying to interact with yours.

tab Write at least two good paragraphs, the maximum is four. The intro post can be as long as five paragraphs. Make sure that the people you are role playing with can respond to what you wrote. Use proper grammar, punctuation, capitalization and spelling.

tab As for character layouts, use font sizes and colors that are readable. I prefer minimal designs, with an appropriately re-sized picture of your character, their full name, and their role. Do not ever do this because that is displeasing to the eyes. A few list tags are okay but don't go overboard. Don't overload it with unnecessary quotes, lyrics or icons. Do not put links to songs, outfits, etc. This is important because I don't like clicking links.

tab We are going to be using real pictures only. I would like a variety in characters, both in personalities and appearances. Please see to it that your character reference fit their age. Also, refrain from giving your character a name that is hard to pronounce, spell or remember. I will allow you to have two characters, but of different genders. Everyone's heterosexual. If you don't like that go make your own role play. Characters are in their teens, most likely the age when they graduate from high school.

tab Send the profiles to me. Do not change the format. The subject of the message should be the role you want to play. You can post once I have accepted you. I will give you two days and if you haven't posted by then I will give the role to someone else. New rules will be announced.

Aaron grew up with only his mother and pet dog Bowie in a small apartment on the east side of New York City. The father left them when he was a young boy but he took on the male role of the house nicely, caring for his often depressed mother and taking on a part time jobs whenever he could. Unlike many of the other students in his all-boys private school who came from wealthy families, he couldn’t afford tuition but was granted a full sports scholarship. On the field he was the captain, the leader who led his team to two national soccer championships. But his weakness was his pride, calling in a coward or challenging his prowess would set him off like a firework, lashing out in a fit of rage. But like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Aaron was a kind and compassionate teenager off the field and especially protective over his friends. Almost every scout from every major university have seen him play by now, and it was just a waiting game to see who would pick him. Secretly he doesn’t care too much about sports but needs the scholarship so he can pursue his dream of becoming doctor.

Cassie was born to a wealthy Italian family who own first class hotels all over the world. They moved to New York City when she was eight and established a home in Manhattan where a hotel chain of theirs opened. There, she attended an all-girls private school that is exclusive to the children of the elite. Cassie came to despise the girls there because it seemed like they were participating in one beauty pageant after another. Instead, she became best friends with the two guys from the all-boys private school that was in partnership with the school she was attending. A hardcore overachiever, Cassie is well-versed in the Arts and Sciences and tries very hard to keep her grades up. She considers archery and horseback riding her favorite past times. Cassandra loves learning but she hates the idea of organized education. She's not even sure if she really wants to go to college and what to major in since she's interested in a lot of things. If she does go, she'll only do it to please her parents. Cassie is hoping she'll figure everything out this summer.

Elijah had a fairly easy home life. He grew up having both of his parents in his life, sometimes overwhelmingly so. His mother, Whitney Henson, is a well-known veterinarian around the New York City area. Eli's father on the other-hand is simply a personal trainer at the nearby family gym. That being so, you could imagine he had no issues with his schooling. Elijah did not let this go to his head though, having many friends in grade school who were worse off than him, he learned early on that not everyone lived a charmed life. His interest in sports, more specifically baseball, started at a young age, due to his father's influence to stay active. As Elijah grew up, he discovered other sports and decided he liked pretty much anything that would keep him active and involved a ball, but baseball was his favorite. That would explain why he played it in school and dedicated nearly every ounce of his being to the sport, and why he became the captain of the team his senior year. Eli has applied at many colleges that have offered him baseball scholarships, but he is starting to regret his decision to do so the more he thinks about MLB and pursuing a career as a professional player.

Fio grew up a bit farther north of Surrey. Her parents were a renowned cook and a librarian respectively, though she inherited neither her fathers ability to cook, nor her mothers quiet personality. She was a loud and friendly child, but didn't have many friends. In fact many people made fun of her freckles and red hair. So much so that she had to move schools. That, however, was the best decision her parents ever made. At this new grade school Fio met Daniel and, later in high school,Emilia. They became best friends and were inseparable all through out school. Fio adored and envied how free and comfortable Emilia was in her own skin, and loved how quirky Daniel was. Emilia helped Fio become more confident and comfortable, she brings out the reckless adventurer in Fio and it is just a beautiful thing to watch. When Fio is around Daniel she is a bit more reserved, she cools a little to match his personality, and more of her sweet side shows up instead. She is very attached to her friends, and over the years has led her to have quite a crush on Daniel. But he has never shown the same feelings and never moving on from one of her best friends has caused her to miss out on every other guy opportunity in school. While part of her hopes this summer in close spaces will awaken some feelings in him, she dreams that she will meet someone who makes her forget why she ever waited for someone who practically didnt know she was female.

Danny grew up in an average home, in his opinion at least. His mother is a renown botanist, look in his backyard and you will see the gorgeous variety of dahlias and magnolias and rose bushes. Danny's a huge bookworm, as well. He has a tendency to just sit in his house with no sound but the turning of paper of his books. It's quite funny, really; if the book he reads is good enough, he will even attempt to walk around while reading it, often causing him to accidentally run into something and bust his nose. Though, he doesn't seem to acknowledge or even know about it, it seems he is also rather popular with the girls at his school. Perhaps it's due to his overall friendly nature that causes women to believe he's interested in them. Though he may be quiet and dorky on the outside, it is highly encouraged not to mess with his two best friends. It seems Danny has taken on the role of overly-protective brother to the two, as they're the only people he really considers his friends. They're also the only people allowed to call him Danny.

Emilia was raised by fairly conservative parents, but that did not stop her from becoming the free-spirit that she is today. In her younger years, she was often excluded at school because of her bold personality and tendency of throwing her fists at the first sign of conflict. It wasn't until high school that she met her two best friends, and she's devoted herself to them ever since. She developed a reputation of sorts in her junior year after scandalous rumors about her and several other guys began circulating. While most of them weren't untrue - she was/is not ashamed of her sexuality - Emilia never denied the ones that were completely false, either. Her constant partying and general recklessness certainly did not help her case any, but she wasn't going to change herself for anyone. She met her current boyfriend at one of those said parties, instantly feeling an attraction that was more carnal than anything else. He fulfilled her lusts well and was actually a decent bloke so she kept him around longer than usual.
