Ladonna woke up... or well was forced out of bed by the awful, awful sound of that blasted alarm clock. It was a miserable way to awake and the so-not-morning person was pissed. Short blonde hair was all over the place as the covers slowly were thrown aside. Underneath the covers was a toned, flat body of a male. No shirt and just briefs, just the way Ladonna preferred it. Sure, he was referred to as a woman but he never said he wanted to be a woman. No, he just loved to transform into Ladonna. Ladonna was amazing. Close to Madonna and Janet Jackson. Two of his favorite divas. It was only obvious for Dalton to chose that as his stage name. Okay maybe it wasn't that obvious, there was a ton of divas and amazing women that he could have went with. He could have went with Cher and Beyonce and Brittany and oh does the list go on and on. No matter, he loved his name just the way it was.

It took a good ten minutes or half hour for the twenty-six year old to get out of the bed. If he could choose, he'd stay in bed for hours more, but today was the big day. He had to get his but up and meet his two best friends and fellow bandmates at the club that they first met at. It was the day that they were going to head to the mansion and get this game of sorts started. Ladonna was nervous, but at the same time wasn't. He was excited more than anything. He was pumped to be given the opportunity and even more pumped to be able to stay in a mansion. Who wouldn't? It was definitely better than his apartment by a long shot.

Finally out of bed, Ladonna went to the bathroom and the long dressing process begun. It started with the shower then the outfit had to be picked out then it was transformation time. He synched his waist to give himself those lovely curves, he applied the make-up and did up his face that by golly made him look gorgeous and definitely... fishy. There was no way that anyone could tell that she was actually a he once he got his favorite pink and blonde wig on. After that, the rest was simple. He was dressed in his teasingly short and rather tight dress that showed his killer legs and his killer pumps. He took one last look in the mirror and smirked. "I look drop dead sexy." He mused, tossing his realistic hair over his shoulder. It was definitely no surprise that he got his start in the clubs.

Once he was good to go, Ladonna got his bags packed into his car and headed off. He would have went straight to the club, but let's face it. He needed his coffee fix. He seriously needed it. So of course, he had to stop off at Starbucks and order himself a muffin and a large latte for himself. Now he could head off to the club. He was ready for what was ahead now.

              Aaron Samuel Fairchild

                        Location .. The bus | With .. Alice | Wearing .. xx | Ride .. xx

After he had sent the text to the band, Aaron followed his mother into the kitchen. There, she had giving him bags of treats and other goods to keep on the bus if he were to get hungry and they couldn’t stop for food. It was really thoughtful. He had thought about going to the store himself to get a few things, but never made it out that way. This is why he always needed his mother in his life. Where would he be without her? Probably in a ditch.

He had gotten a text back from Alice. The bus? Was that the meeting place? Maybe he wasn’t paying attention when everyone agreed to meet there. But it sounded good to him. He sent her a text back saying he’d be there as soon as possible. He really wanted to spend as much time has he could with his little man. He felt so bad about leaving Ryan for six months, but, again, this was for their future. He could make it big and give Ryan the life he deserved.

So he sat with Ryan while the little boy made him a picture. Ryan told him it was going to be of the both of them with their dog, Sugar. He was also told by Ryan that he wasn’t allowed to leave until he was done making the picture because Aaron had to take it with him. Aaron had no objections to that. He knew the perfect place to put the drawling once it was finished and Aaron was on the bus. His bunk. That way Aaron could look at it every night before he went to sleep. Oh, gosh, he was just so happy to have Ryan in his life.

After another twenty minutes or so, Ryan was done with the picture. Aaron smiled at it and kissed his son on the forehead. “It’s great, bud. I have a special place for this on the bus,” Aaron told him. Ryan smiled up at him and gave his father a tight hug. Aaron picked him up and carried him to where his mother was sitting. “Okay, I think it’s time to go,” he said with a sigh. His mother nodded followed them out the door, Sugar at her side.

Aaron made sure everyone was his truck and buckled before taking off toward where the buses were. He did stop a Starbucks and got everyone’s favorite coffee on the way, though. He knew he was in need of more coffee. After getting the coffee, it only took him another five minutes to get to the bus. Once there, he got out and went to Ryan’s side of the truck. He opened the door, unbuckled him from his car seat, and picked him up. “I’m going to miss you SO much,” he said as he hugged the boy to him. “Make sure you listen to everything Grammy says. Be a really good boy.” He gave him kisses and hugged him tight again. Aaron tried not to cry. He didn’t want Ryan to see him cry and get really upset himself. The little boy didn’t know just how long Aaron was going to be gone, but he just knew that his father had been sad about leaving.

Sugar stuck her big face between them and started to give them both kisses. Aaron laughed and patted her head. “You take good care of him, too, girl.” Aaron had gotten the dog before Ryan was born. She’s a pit bull, and the best dog he’s ever had. She watches over Ryan when Aaron isn’t in the room and protects their house. Aaron has NEVER had a problem with her being aggressive. He really hated how people went out of their way to avoid the poor girl when Aaron took her and Ryan for walks. They didn’t know what they were missing. He gave her a kiss before focusing back on Ryan. He gave the boy more kisses and one last hug before putting him in the car. His mother had gotten out to help him take his bags out of the truck. Aaron said his goodbyes to her as well and thanked her for taking Ryan in for the next six months. Of course she would. But Aaron still felt the need to say it. When they were gone, Aaron picked up what he could and took it on the bus. “Hey! Where is everyone else?” he asked Alice as he made his way to the bunks. He put his bags on one of the top ones to claim it before going back out for the rest of his stuff. He set the coffee on a table before looking for the picture Ryan made him. He hung it in his bunk and sighed. This was the hardest day of his life.

The flat was oddly quiet this morning. It wasn’t as if Dahlia was particularly loud. On her own, all the noise she accumulated sans instrument was that of the running shower. There hadn’t been any commotion before she went in, so she was willing to assume that she was the only one up, yet. That being the case, she’d taken her time soaking in the steam and droplets of the shower head. It was an even sounder assumption that, come time to live in the giant house, this type of silence would be hard to come by and should be savored accordingly.

About fifteen minutes later, Dahlia turned off the shower. She gathered her hair in both of her hands, wrung it into the tub behind her, cast the curtain aside and climbed into the cold, misty air. She wrapped her bath robe around herself, kicked her shower flip-flops out onto the floor, gathered up her dirty clothes and packed them in a plastic bag. She was just about to grab her hair dryer when she noticed her cell phone on the bathroom counter, the slightly foggy screen aglow with a message.

Dahlia picked the phone up in her left hand. She typed in a quick message, all the while situating her hair brush and dryer so she would be ready for a reply. She sent the message off, set the phone face-up on the counter and started to brush her hair.

                                    To: Amelie
                                    From: Dahlia
Msg: I’m about to leave. Haven’t heard a peep yet. Not certain he’s still in his room. I’ll check.
How did you get there? I thought we would’ve carpooled.

One stroke of her brush later, Dahlia reached her opposite hand for the bathroom door. She nudged it open with her shoulder, then craned her head around the frame, positioning herself in such a way that she could call out into the hallway. ”My apologies if you’re not awake, but, if you aren’t, then, you should be!” she spoke up, her tone not nearly antagonistic to count as a yell, yet it was distinctly well projected to get the point across. She and her band mates shared their home—and while some of them did have other places to stay as well, like Amelie, Dahlia had been under the impression that the other band members had spent the night in their shared place, same as she had.

”Classy sells less than sex. At double the price, though, so, your choice,” Ashton chimed right back, sounding just as teasing yet level-headed with his come-backs as ever. Even when he was teasing, his tone was oddly level. It matched his level-head, while conveniently enough avoiding any mention of what he did or didn’t know about what he’d just referred to.

Regardless of what he could have accidentally alluded to, Ashton behaved normally enough. He slammed the door of his car shut behind him, kicking it with his foot so he could still carry his coffee in one hand. He took a long, drawn-out swig from his cup of coffee, set it on the roof of his car and circled over to the trunk for his gear. ”Thanks if you lock the door when I’m done. You don’t, then, add ‘a lot’ and make it sarcastic.” For most singers, that category should’ve been limited to a duffel full of clothes and his own throat, but in Ashton’s case, he’d had a couple speakers and a soundboard to go along with it. He yanked the first two cases up, one in each hand, and dragged them on over to the car.

”Said as if you’ve never misplaced your body at a beautiful girl’s apartment. Can’t always go back to yours,” he stated, shoving his luggage in the car. He pressed both hands against one and shoved it in further, making room for the others’ stuff. ”You know them. Awake before 9, wouldn’t wanna talk to them, anyway. You, on the other hand—are much easier to bribe. Wouldn’t want to waste their time if I can steal yours from a loving stranger.” He headed back to his car, grabbed another round and repeated the process over a second time, securing his belongings in place.

Once he had all of his possessions moved from his crappy car to the other, significantly less-crappy truck, Ashton paused by the front entrance. He took out his phone, flipped to the group setting and sent a text on to the other two members. Clever remarks and an avoidance of groggy band mates or not, they did have to get ready and coordinated for this. It wasn’t as if he hadn’t told them in words where and when to show up a few days ago, but a friendly reminder wouldn’t hurt.

                                    To: Benny, [other member]
                                    From: Ash
Msg: I’m at Leo’s when you’re ready to go. If you aren’t yet, if you can be ready now, then do. Thanks. See you.

With that having been attended to, Ashton headed in to Leo’s house. He made it about two steps into the doorway before he settled back to lean by the wall. He flashed the screen of his phone at Leo for about two seconds, as if this proved a point. ”Reminded ‘em both we’re here.” He hid it just as quickly, his eyes shifting to survey the rest of the room. ”So? You have anything edible left?”

If he was going to follow instructions, Christoph would have been waiting downstairs. It was convenient, then, that he’d never been one for conformity. For one thing, he had no problem taking orders from high school kids as part of his hobby. Back when Winters Window (which, contrary to most of his initial spellings, did not have an apostrophe) had first formed, it had been a project started by a pair of love-bird teenagers--which he, a graduate student in computer sciences with a sealed delinquent record and no friends to speak of had thought was a fantastic idea to join. Then again, Christoph had always been weird. The part that was odd was that they'd let him.

It was a few minutes after nine or so Christoph had seen last he checked his phone. He’d made sure to look at the numbers on the way over to his band-mates’ apartment complex, just to make sure he hadn’t over-slept, as per the usual. He’d been due to be on time for something soon. Today seemed to be it. He’d gone straight to the café to check, circled the building three times, checked the time again and shouted out any name that might have answered him back if they’d heard their names in the distance—assuming that five feet still counted as a distance. It was a measurement, feet—that was still a distance. It was a short distance, but all the same. It had also been pretty irrelevant, given the fact that no one was there to hear him who’d had any interest in doing so.

So, with an undeserved confidence which made people assume he should’ve been somewhere he really had no place around, Christoph had strolled right up into the apartment building. He came to a stop in front of the door to Lettie and her fiancee’s room. Chistoph rocked back onto the balls of his feet, his hands both scrunching up in his pockets. He stared at the door for about thirty seconds, willing it in his mind to pop right open. Nothing happened, naturally—so, also by natural progression, he decided to knock… by kicking his foot and pressing his shoulder into the door three times in a row.

”Hey, there. Star-shine. The earth says hello! Which means it speaks English, I guess. Or hola, bienvenue, arrivederci when it’s over…” Christoph fell back from the door itself to lean against the frame, shouting into the crack. He closed one eye as he tried to peer inside, searching for some image inside of the apartment. He couldn’t see a thing, but that didn’t stop him from making an effort, nor did it prevent him from thinking aloud. ”You think the Earth is multi-lingual? If it could talk, I mean. Would it be? Like, it’s a planet, so, it’d have a bigger brain, it’d store enough. But most nations speak English, so, that’s a lot of effort it could use towards other planet s**t, like, rotating or not getting seizure tremors or whatever Earth’d call Earthquakes. Me-quakes? Shivers?”

His tone and volume both shifted down, no longer enunciating well enough that he’d intended to be heard, yet plenty loud enough that someone who was approaching the door could make out every mildly muffled word. He leaned his head slightly closer to the frame, pressing the back of his hand towards his forehead. ”You know, at some point this door’s gonna answer me. If it’s not you, then, it’s about psychotic break time. Might’s well. Call up the Trix rabbit. Raid your fridge.” His head tilted slightly to the side, nudging over in such a way that, were the door to open in too suddenly, he’d topple right over. His line of sight drifted away from the door, his eyes wandering towards the ceiling with what looked like curiosity, or possibly a sense of unsolicited awe. ”Weird enough. Psychotic break time; still does less damage than break dance time. It’s how they pitch it. At the… mental illness ad agency.”

If Christoph was going to be in awe of anything, it should’ve been the fact that he was still talking to himself.

James awoke to the young child next to him gently nudging his shoulder. He yawned, outstretched his arms and turned around to face the child. She shared many similarities with James, the most noticeable was the hair and the eyes. "Good mornin' Emmy-Lemmy. How's it goin'?" The blond male said as he placed a kiss on the young girl's forehead, she, however, didn't respond, she obviously knew what haw happening. "Look, I've told you this a million times before, you have to stay with uncle Hesh until I come back. I promise that when I come back, I'll buy you as much ice-cream and chocolate as you want." The girl smiled brightly.

The duo got up out of bed and walked to the kitchen where James put in two pieces of toast in the toaster, put on the kettle and waited. His phone sat on the table which stated that he had a message. He looked at the sender and sighed, of course it was Kit writing to him at an ungodly hour in the morning checking to see if he knew where they were meeting. James read the message twice and responded.

To: Kit, Cesar, Michelle
From: Jim
Msg: We're meeting at the music store near the bus depot. Make sure you're all there so that I don't have to drag your asses there, and yeah, I'm talking to you Kit and CCC. If you don't know where to go, then you're idiots.

When James finished sending the text, the toast had popped up and the kettle had finished boiling. He made himself a cup of coffee, with a small dash of whiskey, and made Emilia her toast with jelly on it. The duo weren't exactly financially stable and were always in and out of different houses. If there was one thing that James wishes that he could change, it would be that he had enough money to look after himself and his little girl.

James grabbed his coffee, placed the toast on a plate and put them on the drawer next to the couch and walked into his room. He took a sip of the mug's contents and began to gather things to wear; Black jeans, his old Motörhead shirt and his sleeveless hoodie that lay discarded on the ground as well as his boots which he had thrown under his bed. He put on his clothes, bundled his old ones and threw them into the small pile in the corner before he grabbed his packed suitcase, his guitars and mic and walked back into the lounge and smiled when he saw that Em had her clothes all ready. "Alright, let's head off. Take Cujo if you want, but don't let him slobber all over my seats." The young girl gleefully ran off to fetch her young dog who was asleep underneath a chair.

Taking one last look around the house, checking to see what he forgot, James opened the door of his house, grabbed the keys from off the chain and placed all of his things into the boot of his car. When everything was ready, James went inside grabbed Em's suitcase from beside the table and dragged it along to the car before locking the door behind him. The young child waited for her father outside, the pup in her arms was asleep once again. James placed a kiss onto his child's forehead and started the car up. He moved the seat back, letting Em climb in the back and fixed up her seat belt before climbing in himself. Putting his iPhone in the dock and played the one song that both he and Em could sing to. Fortunately for James, it was something somewhat metal; Broken by Seether and Amy Lee.

The duo picked up Hesher on the way to the music store, making sure to park where Kit and Cesar could see them, after all, they were most likely stoned which didn't seem unusual for them. James turned down the music and looked behind him, Em was fast asleep. The blond male turned to his brother and sighed. "Listen man, I need you to take real good care of her. She's got her medication and everything with her, if she runs out, just put it on my card." Hesher, who was twelve years older than James, placed his hand on his brothers shoulder and winked.

"No need to worry about us, kid, she's in good hands." Hesh turned up the music and put it onto one of his favorite songs, Jump in the Fire, while they waited for everyone else to show up.
