When adolescence hits, many don't know what to do with themselves. These hormone-ridden creatures are lost in a sea of a fast-paced world that won't take the time to explain to them what they are feeling. And so they are expected to find themselves and become the best version of that they can be, and yet, don't we all fall short of our own expectations?

They grow up confused, distraught, and unsure of what they want. And so life exists at Ryden High Boarding School.

So it's the start of a new fall semester and an incredibly corny/cliche introductory story at this private high school tucked away in the corner of a small beach in Maryland, 75 miles in every direction away from a city. Students old and new are arriving to start a new school year and life, hoping to find some direction between the walls of the old castle-like buildings. The new year brings surprises in roommates, friends, lovers, and pop quizzes, but it's up to you to make it happen and not vote me down because I couldn't come up with a good storyline : ) (I swear once I get into a character, bada bing I'm amazing.)

First of all, welcome. I look forward to writing this story with you. Now, I don't have too many rules, so I do ask that you read them. At least skim them thoroughly : )

1. Follow all of Gaia's ToS (that's what they're still calling them these days right?) and all of my rules yada yada yada.

2. This is a high school and you're all hormone-ridden teenagers, so please, I want drama! I want fights! I want sex, drugs, and alcohol! Personally, I don't mind if you get into nitty-gritty detail. But keep in mind that there may be people on here who DO mind and report you. I sure as hell won't.

3. Which brings me to literacy. This is a literate role play. I don't mind swearing, I will do plenty of it but please space it out between real words, please and thank you : ) I want perfect grammar and spelling. Okay, I don't really expect perfection, we're all human here. But seriously guys, I'm part of the grammar police squad and it irks me to no end when I can't understand what the heck someone is saying.

4. I want this thingy to stay alive so post as often as you can. I'm not your mother and I won't tell you how often I want you on here, but keep in mind there are usually other people in the middle of a conversation here, so try not to keep them hanging for too long while the rest of us move on with our lives.

5. Post length. I think that we can all at least get in two paragraphs, right? Okay, I understand that when you are just trying to have a conversation with someone it's hard to make two full paragraphs out of "One dialogue sentence." But please try! Add some random details. Describe the shape of your character's mouth as they say each word. Well, don't really do that because that's weird. But I like a visual! And it makes things more interesting, and gives a clue to the person you're talking to how you're responding to them.

6. Okay so these are maybe a bit longer than I thought they'd be. I like to give detail, as you can tell already. Another thing about posts. I. Want. Them. BEAUTIFUL. : ) For the body of your post, size 9-11 fonts ONLY. For headings, quotes, and other flim-flam, use whatever size you want. Make your posts interesting, give life to them! Let your character's personality permeate your post! Permeate, oh a good word. Use good words. I like long words. Extraneous-length words. Sorry, moving on. Your character's picture must Must MUST be on the post. Please use pretty, bolded, not-eye-blinding colors for your words, "Because it makes it easier for us to know when you are saying something!" For thoughts, italicized and colored. Like this. Write in the third person perspective, don't you dare use text lingo (unless you are texting someone of course) and don't you dare even THINK about putting **/--/etc.etc. in my roleplay to show action. Write like a novel. Per favor. (That's Italiano for please.) Oh and warn us for the OOC stuff.

7. Okay, so I'm an old-school Gaian. Been around for about 5 or 6 years. And as an oldster, I have no idea how all y'all young'uns do that fancy s**t with your font and putting words in your pictures and what not. (If someone would like to tell me please please please do. I will love you forever. Then I can seem cool and "with it." yeah.) So my reserves and profiles are just gonna be simple. Send in the reserve titled Insane Minds, Crazy Times, and once I accept that you have 24 hours to send in your profile titled Love Makes the Heart Break. I have no idea why I picked those names. Just did. So deal with it. Once your profile is accepted you have ANOTHER 24 hours to get your first post down. Personally I think that's more than enough time! Once I get accepted I post right away. Whatevs. And um, just have fun. Check back once in awhile to this first page for announcements I guess. : )

Ａｒｔｅｍｉｓ looked around her house once last time. Her friend was going to house sit for her while she was at school. She let out a soft sigh as she shook her head and walked away from the place that was once so filled with life. Though her parents had been dead for 3 years now, she still felt their loose with a strong ache. She held her back pack strap tighter. They were the reason she was returning to that place. The reason why she even went to that school. Because they wanted her to be the best that she could be, and she would be damned if she let them down now.

She closed her house door behind her before throwing her backpack into the back seat of her 1970 Dodge challenger. She had a drive to get over and done with so that she could begin preparing for another school year. She threw the car into gear and peeled out, heading towards the secluded Boarding school. She smoothly and effortlessly pulled the car into a spot, knowing full and well that it would be there for a while. She decided the best thing to do was to check in.

"Easy as Pi." She said with a small smirk as she walked towards the check out station. She gave her name and was handed a packet. She glanced over it before she walked back to her car and grabbed her stuff from the back of the car she walked towards the room where she would be staying. She shifted the stuff onto her hip before she slid the key in and turned. She grunted as the door opened. She chucked her stuff on the bed that was closest to the window.

"Another dorm room equals another room mate multipled by the drama squared all divided by the amount of school work I will posses." She said to herself as she laid the rest of her stuff on the bed.

My Attire

Danny sighed glancing over at his bedroom window. He was hoping to get a few more minutes of sleep but apparently his nanny decided that wasn't going to happen. He did have to start driving back to the boarding school anyways. The summer home was nice though. He pushed his blankets off of himself and stood up stretching. "Morning, Rosie." he smiled at the nanny as she walked out of the room. She wasn't the hot, sexy nanny like in movies. She was getting old now. She raised the boys since they were infants. The only lady their mom trusted around them. He bit his lip and walked over to his closet. His clothes where hanging on the door so there was no need to open them and walk in. Besides the fact that most of his clothes had been shipped a while ago. The two only had a couple things to drive with.

He walked into the bathroom and twisted the nozzle letting the water flow out. He stripped and got in. When he was done, he dried off and got dressed. He slipped his plugs in his ears and started doing his hair. He smiled glancing over to the door seeing his brother standing in the frame. "Morning, Sammie, are you ready for school?" He asked before stepping away from the mirror and walking past him. He walked down the hall and back into his room. "Hurry up." He yelled down the hall before closing his bedroom door. He glanced at his phone not seeing any text. It was almost shocking to him. He usually always had text from people in the morning. He walked to his nightstand and pulled open a drawer grabbing a little nugget of weed. He smiled breaking it up and putting it in his piece. He grabbed his lighter and took a hit. Smiling he blew the smoke out and continued until there wasn't any left and he was high. He had enough stashed in his suitcase in the car for a while. That way he didn't have to pick up at the school.

Grabbing his phone, wallet, and car keys he walked downstairs to the kitchen. "Are you going to miss us, Rosie?" He smiled at the nanny. Even when the boys were away at school his parents kept her around to watch the house. "Of course, Daniel." She was the only one he aloud to call him that. If anyone else tried it, he ignored them. "We'll miss you, Rosie." He smiled and grabbed two water bottles. He turned to see Sammie walking down the stairs. "Ready?" He smiled and tossed his brother the keys. "Bye, Rosie." He smiled and opened the door letting Sammie walk out before him.

Sammie pulled up to the school and parked the car. Danny stepped out and walked to the trunk. "Welcome back, Little brother." Danny smiled handing Sammie his bag. The two walked in to the school and grabbed their dorm numbers. "I'll see you later." He smirked opening his dorm. He smiled seeing his boxes on one side of the room. He closed the door and dropped his suitcase on the floor and began unpacking.

Sammie sighed hearing the shower. That meant Danny was awake and he would want to leave soon. He bit his lip looking around the room making sure he didn't need to bring anything else. He smiled turning around to see Rosie. "Morning, Rosie." He smiled and laid back down waiting for the shower head to turn off. He didn't want to leave. He hated having to live in a room with a random person. He liked his space. When the shower turned off Sammie stood up and walked down the hall. He hated having to take a shower in the guest room so Danny and him shared the one upstairs. He shrugged at his brothers question. "I just wish I knew who my roomie was going to be." He smirked and moved slightly letting him walk by. "Don't rush me." He smiled and closed the door behind him. After his shower he got dressed. He styled his hair and walked back to his room. He grabbed his phone and wallet and walked down stairs to Danny. "Yepp." He nodded answering his question. "Bye, Rosie." He caught the keys and walked outside.

"Too high to drive?" He asked rolling his eyes. "You couldn't of waited?" He asked stepping into the BMW M3. Sammie had his own car but the boys dropped it off the night before so that they only had to take one car. They didn't live too far from the school so it wasn't much of a problem. He sighed and pulled out of the driveway. "Another year." He sighed. "Only thing I'm excited for is soccer." He smirked. That was all Sammie was ever excited for. He wasn't like Danny. He didn't care about the sex he was going to get. Sammie actually had to like you to have sex. Danny ******** any chick.

Pulling up to the school Sammie parked and walked to the trunk with Danny. "Same to you, Bro." He smiled and followed him in. "I'll be right next to you." He rolled his eyes. "Make sure you keep it down." He laughed and nodded lightly "Get me if you decide to go out." He walked down the hall a little and found his room. Opening the door he walked in. No one was there yet. He smiled and walked to his bed. He set his suitcase down and began unpacking his things.

A sleek blue sports car pulled up into the parking lot at Ryden High Boarding School. The driver's side-door opened, and out stepped two feet in strappy sandals. Connected to those sandals were a damn sexy pair of tanned legs, which were soon followed by the rest of the owner. Shaye climbed out of her car, keys and phone in hand. She smoothed her hands down her shirt, ridding it of the wrinkles the long drive had caused. While putting her phone into the pocket of her teeny shorts she locked her car and shut the door. All she carried with her was a purse.

Shaye knew the drill here. It was her senior year, and she was used to the hectic first week. As she stepped into the front doors, people parted in the busy hallway to allow her through. She didn't smile or thank them; it was expected and customary. She was Shaye Carmella Erryksyn. And she had had control of this school from day one. In the office she was greeted with warm smiles, particularly from her principal, the only male currently in the room. Not even happily married men could ignore the seductiveness that resided in her whole body. She had quite a rep at this school.

The secretary gave Shaye her room assignment, key, and class schedule. She looked down at the map of the dorm and glanced quickly through the names. Excellent, she was right next to Caleb. And her roommate...Daniel Allen Walker. Danny. She smirked and tossed the map into a trash bin and continued her strut through the halls. She went outside the main building and headed for the dorms and straight up to her room. While she walked she wondered what this school year would be like. And then she was right next door to her best friend.

Had Shaye let herself say the damned word, she could say she loved that guy. But love did not exist in her vocabulary, not even to describe her best friend. Especially not for her best friend, not the one she had sex with and almost felt true feelings--but Shaye stopped herself. She refused to think about that. After Caleb had fallen asleep she bolted, not away from him but away from herself. Away from the feelings she refused to acknowledge, and away from the monster she felt like for doing that to Caleb.

Shaye reached her room and walked in, not bothering to knock. She was no prude about seeing someone naked or being seen naked. Danny was there, unpacking his things. She broke out in a dimpled smile when she saw him as she walked in. "Hey Danny! How was your summer?" she asked him, flipping her wavy waist-length hair over her shoulder. Her blue eyes were bright against her dark tan, her clothes hugged her thin frame and the low neck of her t-shirt showed off her ample cleavage.
