Welcome to The Bathhouse! heart

Since December 2003 we were known as The Lil Questor's Corner Shop. This was because Anoni and I were both fans of questing (questing was much different in those days), and our shop was dedicating to questing. Profits were donated to questors.

We've since discovered that the meaning of questing has changed, so we've given our old shop a 'bath' wink and we're now known as The Bathhouse! (Kudos to Oni for the name!) whee heart
B.A.T.H stands for "Both A's Trading House". Adding another house to it at the end is a bit redundant, but it sounds better!

Hello everyone! heart Aeris here, and I guess I can talk about myself on gaia *steals Anon's idea ninja heart whee )




My profile says I started in September of '03, but it wasn't until October that I really started logging in all the time. I wandered around the Anime/Manga forums and even dabbled in the poetry section until I found my spot in the exchange. Because there was no marketplace, I floated around on threads to try to get some good bargins on some clothes (because good bargins are awesome mrgreen heart ).

One day, I spotted something that I really wanted. Something that would just look perfect on my avatar. It was a .... dundunduuuuuuun whee a cross collar. Now, I realize this is such a simple little item, but to me it is still my favorite item in ALL of gaia. So I decided that I was going to quest for it! pirate heart But unlike all the big quest threads I saw (people questing for pandies or bunnies, etc) I was questing for something so small as a cross collar, and I still wanted a place to go. So I made my own Lil' Band of Questors thread so that everyone, big and small, could talk about their quests and how their progress was going.


That was one of the better ideas I had, because I met so many wonderful people. And there was nothing like joining together with people in a similar adventure to get your dream item. Most notably, I met my co-conspirator Anoni (who was then anonymus_girl) and my role model Ridz.



Ridz was a big inspiration to me; when I first met her, she was questing bunnies for her friend (I think). I was so astounded that she would go so far to do something so wonderful for her friends, that I decided to start questing for my friends too.

I completed such quests as portables for Anoni, a panda hat for Ridz (because she wouldn't quest for herself), and much more (than I can remember xd heart ). And in kind, my friends got me items too (my nightmare minis, and my devil tail). Before Ridz left, I attempted to quest a Halo for her, but in the end I wasn't able to complete it. (I got pwned... scammed gonk scream )

Today, I don't quest as much anymore. (Because real life got in the way, and quests just became too depressing) Recently, I completed a quest for a devil's tail for the lovely Miss Anela Vesir. That quest and much more has revived me back into gaia. Though I ended up buying the tail for more than it was worth at the time, it didn't matter to me because pixels are pixels, but gifts for friends make such pixels actually worth more than the dots that make them

My personal goal remains to abtain at least one of each months letter. (I still have my Oct. letter, all dusty and worn). I decided after my devil tail quest to spoil myself; Anon actually gave me my October letter so that I wouldn't stick it into offers when I quested for other people. But I decided to use my October, November and December 2003 letters to try to get Angelic Minis. Anon, being the person she is, offered to let me buy her minis for those very letters. I know I jipped her, but she and I both know I probably wouldn't have found a seller of minis that wouldn't sell me them without making me give more than I should.

Though I still am trying to keep up my letter collection, I am currently only missing a March 2005 letter. But the wonderful friends I've made really reminds me of goodness of people; I adore them all heart whee

But, don't be afraid to share your gaian adventures with me, or all of my friends here at The Bathhouse... I'm always willing to meet and make new wonderful friends! heart whee

1. I enjoy questing and giving presents to friends I feel deserve the best!
2. I don't like those who rip on my friends who are talented and lucky enough to earn all their items.
3. I love the heart emote so much, it's so cuuute xd heart
4. Anon is my best friend; we've been through so much even though we both live on opposite sides of the globe and differ in age, we just get along so well xd 3nodding heart
5. I have some expensive items, but I don't consider myself rich because I just happened to join Gaia early on - Hahaha I stole this from Anon ninja Sometimes though, I feel so bad that everyone questing for those big ticket items have to give up so much. I was so lucky to join when I did.
6. I love helping people with their quests; however, I am jaded nowadays because some people don't even say thanks... confused
7. I live in the exchange, but sometimes I like to test my poetry in the Writers forum ninja
8. I don't like when people say "No noob offers" in the exchange as if everyone just KNOWS the worth of the item they are selling. (The Marketplace can be so inflated, you know rolleyes )
9. I don't like when people only use the marketplace to price their items. Some do it to the point that they sell more than the store sells the item for as if people are stupid enough to actually buy such an item. stressed

About me? This is only going to be Gaia related - if you want to know about the RL Anoni, you're going to have to talk to me. wink


I joined Gaia back in August 2003, quite a long time ago I know. rofl I changed my username to Anoni at the end of 2004.

I was referred to Gaia by a friend, and I was quite lost when I joined. I went into the Chatterbox because I thought I could get gold there, but I realised that it took a while by spamming. @.@ I talked to some guy and he offered to buy me clothes, but I declined. :3
I sold my peasants clothes to the store, and bought myself a pair of black goth boots, which are still in my inventory to this very day. ^^

After that, I didn't touch Gaia for a couple of months. I started visiting Gaia again after my friend, Ryuhana, opened a shop with Anela. I pretty much stayed in that thread for a couple of months, not bothering to venture to the rest of the site, nor to buy some more clothes to cover up my nekkid avy. xD

When I actually bothered to look around the exchange, I found it to be a very nice place. The exchange was very different back then, but I'm not going to start going on about it.

One day, I decided to quest for mini nitemare wings because I thought they looked cool, and I didn't get a pair back in September. I met a lot of nice people while questing, and made friends with many of them. ^^

One of these people was the lovely Aeris_chan. She started "The Lil Band of Questors", and eventually we started a shop called "The Lil Questor's Corner Shop", which used to be in this same very thread. Questing was a very different concept back then - people didn't start quests just to get donations, they truly wanted the item and were prepared to work hard for them. Our goal of our shop was to donate our profits to questors. These days, I just randomly donate to people who I encounter and deem to be kind-hearted. (Don't ask me for donations.) xD

I also met a lot of other great people. heart I'm not going to name them all though.

I don't remember when this was, but sometime in late 2003, Aeris, with the help of other friends like Starshine and Saken etc started to quest for a pair of ports for me gonk I thought they were absolutely nuts. xd But they succeeded, and I am forever indebted to them. ^_^;; Ports and minis = Anoni's favourite Gaian items.

In early 2004, along with a few other Gaians, we established the Gaian Exchange Mafia Family. rofl We all had a family tree in our signatures, and everyone kept asking to be part of it. sweatdrop After that, our mafia died down a little, but in June 2004, Oni J. and I established the GEMafia guild. 3nodding Nowadays our members aren't so prominent or alive in the exchange due to a myriad of reasons. [WE'RE ALIVE AGAIN!] I love them anyway. xD heart But Oni and I are slowly working on the guild, and we're seeing many old friends again. ^^

Meanwhile, The Lil Questor's Corner Shop was fading because Aeris and I were busy with other issues. We've talked about reviving it for ages now. xD

About the exchange itself, I guess I'm a little disappointed at the way it turned out. It used to be such a nice place, without most of the bs that happens nowadays. But I guess it was inevitable with the amount of people joining Gaia. I miss the days where I would walk into the exchange, and immediately know or recognise all the thread owners. Nowadays, I pretty much don't know any of the people. xd *sticks to friends* But don't get me wrong, I've met a lot of great people randomly around the exchange. ^_^

I've definitely done some things on Gaia that I'm not proud of, but I try to be nice. xD

Final Fantasy XI Tribute

For about two and a half years, I played the game Final Fantasy XI quite religiously. While there, I became a 75 mithra paladin of whom I am immensely proud of even now after I've deleted her and all my hard work on the game.

I was on the Ifrit Server, and there I met many awesome people. Even some that are here on Gaia like Zaine (of whom I got closer with in FFXI than I ever did here on gaia), Miraiken and many others. One friend even switched servers to hang out with me; an elvaan paladin by the name of Killmer

My mithra was named Anela. I had actually taken the name from a lady here on gaia, Anela Vesir who actually at that time was still under the name simply known as Anela.

When I first began, I was a warrior. I wasn't sure which job I was going to be when I hit 30, but as I leveled through the game, I discovered that paladin was the job for me. As soon as I hit 30, I got the paladin job and worked my way up through the levels.

I loved tanking and I adored paladin. I loved the way it looked on me.



I loved being able to cure and save people. I loved being good at what I did. And people loved me for it too; they also knew how much I cared about playing my job and playing it well. When I hit 74, the level just before the game cap, I joined a linkshell called Joining of Six. I was really nervous that they wouldn't accept me, because mithra aren't know to be paladins, and their stats make them "bad paladins". I was accepted to the shell however in four hours.

I took endgame by storm. My first time in sky, I tanked Byakko and Seiryu. (As a 74 no less) Quickly my linkshell spoiled me with a joyeuse and the last level it would take to get me to 75. After tha, I tanked and kited everything I could for them. I was devoted to that wonderful group of people, and even now I talk to many of them via msn or aim.




Though as time wore on, my linkshell began to die out. Many of the members were bitter about items, events, and people attending events, and things we could have done but didn't. I was so loyal that I knew I couldn't go anywhere else, but I also knew that I couldn't exist in that game without tanking those big beefy mobs. (Paladins in experience parties just aren't the same when one hits 73; endgame tanking is what keeps a paladin going).

I loved that game, and still love it. The people made the game and ruined it; almost like it is here in gaia. But I have returned to Gaia, and all my friends here have reminded me why I love this place.

But, as a final farewell to my mithra paladin, I have cosplayed Anela as best I could.
