Welcome to the FYA Pumpkin Carving Contest ! Our members will be your hosts for this contest around one of Halloween's most famed traditions n_n

For this contest, we're going to use TheoWorlds Virtual Pumpkin Carving. Click here and follow the guide !

1 - After the initial loading screen, you'll arrive at a page presenting the Virtual Pumpkin Carving to you. Click 'Start' (bottom-right part of the screen) !
2 - You have now reached the Tutorial Screen, explaining you how to carve your Virtual Pumpkin. Just as you wouldn't go unprepared into carving a real pumpkin, take the time to read the instructions ! When this is done, click 'Start' (bottom-right again)
3 - Finally, let the carving begin ! Following the instructions you've been given on the Tutorial page. You'll find the straight cuts and freehands cuts buttons on the left, along with the possibility to undo your last hole. When you're satisfied with your work of art, click 'Done Carving' (where, d'you think ? Yup, bottom-right again).
4 - This page allows you to change background, message...All interesting things if you're going to send your pumpkin to your friends or family's email addies. We will not take anything like background or message into account ! The quality and creativity at work in your pumpkin is all we're interested in ! When you're satisfied with your changs, or if you don't care, just hit the 'Done !' button.
5 - You're now at the Saving Pumpkin screen. The saving process will take a few seconds, after which you'll be given a unique URL for your pumpkin. Copy and paste this URL into your contest entry.

Welcome to the costume contest! There is room for TEN contestants. This contest is for halloween costumes only. FULLSETS OF STORE HALLOWEEN COSTUMES ARE NOT ALLOWED! This contest is about imaginative costumes. If you are unsure as to if your costume is acceptable, please, inquire. If dressed up as a specific person or character, please provide a link to the image of that person or character.

The contest will take place over the entire weekend, and will be judged by a mixture of poll votes, and FYA judges. The first 10 people who wish to enter with acceptable costumes will be admitted. The costumes must be things you actually have - no GAvSim or DAC entries are acceptable.

This guild is a place for nice people who just happen to be sick of being used for pixels. It is not about hate; it is about a group of individuals desirous of something more than chatter about items. In truth, we would love to do charitable things for many users of Gaia; From now on, we do them on our terms, as a guild, for many reasons:

- Even the nicest of people get stepped on. Sometimes, it seems, ESPECIALLY the nicest get stepped on. As a guild, we can brunt the effect by merely having like-minded individuals as a support base.

- We only have so much. Every user on Gaia will have their limitations; it is only logical that they cannot donate with any hope of their account thriving unless they do their charitable works in moderation. A few of us want so desperately to help others that we often break ourselves to do it. As a guild, we can brunt the effect by having guild-sponsored giveaways, raffles, etc.

- These pixels are not what they seem. Finally, this guild would be in place as an attempt to create a truly honest environment for those who have nothing to hide. All too often, we see Gaians being used for things that they aren't even giving away. This is such a low, disgusting habit, that we feel we cannot simply stand idly by and wait for our own remoras to latch on. So here we are.

This Guild is now hidden. We are currently ACCEPTING applications. Please realize, this is NOT a guild based upon friendship. This is a guild based upon common ideals and ethics, which may lead members to a lasting friendship with each other. If you are not accepted, there is no reason to take it personally.

Hi! ^^ As it says on my polariod, I'm Sikona, but feel free to call me Kona or Sin. ^^ I use emoticons far too much, and I'm pretty much always in the shop when I'm awake, and sometimes even when I'm not. xd F.Y.A is like breathing to me - automatic, and it keeps me alive and happy. I think if you hang around the shop a bit, you'll see what I mean - these Gaians understand that Gaia is populated by people, not NPCs. Joined Gaia on November 9, 2003, where initial good luck on the first day played a role in early philanthropy. A founding member and backer of the GGG a.k.a. the Gaian Gigolo Guild, in the efforts to create a support group to spread certain ideals and help for less fortunate gaians at that time. Joined the FYA, despite being more of a lone wolf due to their raison d'etre. The rampant greed and plain lowered expectations in gaia needs a counter-acting measure. FYA serves as a guide and a method to have greater impact than a single individual in charitable work, and for that reason became a fringe member.


F.Y.A. is a no-nonsense organization keeping in priority that which is best for the guild above all else. The survival of these ideals is what we fight to defend. The torch of truth (and "telling it like it is" wink is what we carry. We the members are bond by our common interests in what F.Y.A. stands for, always working for the betterment of our guild.
This is supposed to be my member bio so why talk about F.Y.A.'s? Because it is a manifestation of some of my own character traits. But for the most part F.Y.A (and the members in it) holds those traits that I donnot possess and look foward to adapting into my own disposition.

Howdy! Im Pinkee and if you cant tell I like PINK! So it suits me really well that I had a little baby girl Jan 24, 2005. She is the focus of my life right now and I get on Gaia when she allows. Most the time when she is sleeping. I am getting anxious at how quick she grows though!! =O

Hi, Novi here, again, i first joined gaia while i was in iraq helping with the war effort, and immediatly begain my life here as a giver i gave more than anyone person should be able to withen the first few months, milions and milions of gold from bunnies to headbands, which brought me a lot of attention from scammers and hustlers, and at the time i was still young to gaia, and i was quickly taken advantage of, which is what led me here, through F.Y.A i can fulfill my need to help others whilst being protected by the people who truely care about me, and to me thats worth more than any pixel will ever be.


My name is Rvaya. I am not a founding member of FYA, but they took me in and I am part of a family now . I joined Gaia July 5th of 2004 and I haven't taken a break since. I do a lot of art around Gaia so you might have heard of me or seen my work. I stand firmly behind all that FYA is trying to do in helping imporve the community of Gaia and if you get to know us I'm sure you will too.



Mel speaking - nice to be read by you, people. I joined Gaia back in the days when it was new, empty, and just another forum on the Internet - and had quite a shock on my come-back day in March 2005. I've been rediscovering our pixellish playground ever since, and was offered to enter the FYA shortly after - looks like there are people around here that, like me, would like to see Gaia become a better place for all! I delight in hanging around on forums and popping nonsense, smitting the Intellectually Unfit with my Cynical Blade +12, and reading with a cup of cocoa near at hand.


The name is pangolin. I've joined Gaia on the same day as Xyzse which I find very interesting for no particular reason. I originally joined as a way to help me with my art skills and soon became over whelmed with how talented people much younger than me are. I'm a lot older than most people on Gaia, but that doesn't bother me in the least. I can create my own worlds and RP to my hearts content. Plus I've met a lot of people all over the world that I now call friend.
