Hands on Spinning, by Lee Raven, ISBN 0-934026-27-0 This book is great for beginners it has some project ideas and all the basic information about spinning on a hooked stick to a wheel. It was my best friend when I was getting started.

Spin It: Making Yarn from Scratch, by Lee Raven, ISBN 1-931499-36-5 This concentrates on spinning with a spindle. It has different projects then Hands on Spinning and color photos.

Alden Amos Big Book of Handspinning, by Alden Amos, ISBN 1-883010-88-8 This book is the bible of Hand Spinning. It as so much information and it goes into detail. I suggest this book for those who are really interested.

Sewing Machines

Are there no references for knitting? Does no one else knit or crochet?

Granted, knitting sites tend to not make sense, or are difficult to follow, but there's always hard references, suck as Stich n' b***h Nation, Vogue Knitting, Family Knitting, etc.
Hobby Lobby and Crafts 2000 are my favorite yarn stores, HL for its prices and Crafts for its selection. Books-A-Million is my favorite book store, as they always have Stich N' b***h and knitting magazines in stock.

I think that Vogue Knitting is my favorite mag, but all the projects take so much time that I always end up scaling them back, and then don't really like them as much as the pictures. Also, the Encyclopedia of Knitting is a really useful book smile

Sewing Machines

i would say that art is easy if you are willing to try otherwise you will never amount to a true artist i meen that is if you are truely intrested my fave artist' are georgia o'keefe and pablo piccaso georgia is an amazing still life artsist and i love the emotion pablo shows in his fantastic art especially during his blue stage

Lifespan: I've had it 1, it's supposed to last for up to 50 if I keep it in good shape.
Review: Lovely to work with, easy to use, and is the same model used by my University's costume shop currently.
Recommendation: Good for beginners or advanced tailors and seamstresses! Industrial is especially good if you do costumes and sew odd materials often, such as leather or plastic.
