Hey guys and gals,
So I'm a freelance Graphic Designer and I made a t-shirt design for a friends charity event. Finished the design today and went to our local print shop to print the design onto Avery transfer paper and the ink wouldn't stick to the paper correctly. Its hard to explain what it did but it was all messed up. I asked a worker and he said printers at companies like that are made for certain types of paper and whenever people try to bring in their paper it doesn't usually work. He recommended finding someone who may have a printer made for that kind of paper. I have no idea where to find someone like that. Any ideas where I could print it? Or another cheapish way to get my design onto a t-shirt. I have until the end of the week to get this done. Thanks a bunch! smile

The most widely available transfer paper by Avery is inkjet paper. Maybe whatever service you used tried to print on it with a laser printer?

Ya that's what I used at the print shop. The guy said ones at print shops like that are only made for certain papers, not transfer paper...

Find someone with a decent inkjet printer, pay them for the ink, and use that.

Most people own injet printers if they have a printer at all, so it shouldn't be that hard.
