I make Medieval and Renaissance era dresses, and am considering making a few to sell on Ebay. I just want a general consensus for what size(s) are most common or sought after, and if there is a market for it. Thanks! biggrin

Edit: PICS BELOW!

Those are lovely dresses. I, personally, probably wouldn't, as I make most of my pieces myself. If I had the money and lacked the sewing skills, I would so be buying stuff off of e-bay.

Part of it depends, though. A lot of people who don't sew aren't looking for the more expensive high-quality stuff. Many people who buy things online are looking for things to be cheap. So it all really depends on your marketing.

I agree, if I lacked sewing skills, I'd SO buy one of those pretty dresses for the Ren. Faire!

they're cool ^^ all eccentric like!

Well most chemise are pretty much one size fits all. but not always so I'd suggest 2 sizes and that would probably cover mose well. Corsets have some flexzbility, so do the bustle thingies... So probably medium large and xl for that. provide a generous amount of cording too for the adjustability. if there is a skirt a good draw string might get good size ranges too.

All depend on pattern and body type... but I think you could get some decent flexibility out of these

Good luck!
