I want to paint a mural on my sink, but don't know what type of paint to use. I've asked around and knowbody seems to know how to go about it. Would I be able to paint it with acrylic or oil paint, then bring it to someone to have it reglazed??
The sink needs to be glazed again because I want it to be functional, I want it to be used like a regular sink.
Would doing it like this be a realistic option?
If it's going to be reglazed and fired again, then just buy porcelain paint. It usually needs to be fired again to adhere to the porcelain anyway.
Or you can get FolkArt Enamel acrylics. I don't think they have to be re-glazed over top and they're dishwasher safe so I would assume that they would be fine to paint the sink with as long as you're not scrubbing the sink a lot with something really abrasive.
