Welcome to Gaia! ::

When I was little and I had handcrafts, I was taught to knit from left to right because I write with left hand. Five, six years later I learned to knit just like anyone else. I'm still intrested about who to knit in "wrong direction", but I don't have clue, how I knitted back in kinderkarden. So does anyone knows any tutorials or sites, where are introduced that "english" style to knit?
(Edit: sorry, this maybe sound pretty gayish from a guy :l I hope that anyone isn't bothered by this little detail. )

That might be helpful for you, it's a site that has videos to help with knitting.
I knit continental, but when doing stockinette I just knit left to right instead of turning and purling for a row. I hold my yarn in my left hand, and what I do is this:

Insert left needle into back loop of stitch

Throw yarn over top of left needle

Draw needle through and slip stitch off right needle

Repeat ad nauseum.
I'm teaching one of my students how to knit and she is left handed. She knits completly opposite from me. It's a mirrored image. So, I would suggest trying to knit infront of a mirror to get an idea of how to knit the opposite way.
