I'm an on and off maker and a jack of all trades. Usually depends on how creative i'm feeling but i usually use craft line. So fiddly without needles but so much easier for me.

It doesn't take too much patience, Palachewing. You just have to be able to put up with a certain ammount of pain when first starting. Pliers make calusses (sp?) on your hands, and when they slip you get gouges in your fingers. Your stuff is gorgeous, by the way.

@Robot Rabbit - Needle-and-thread stuff is a lot of fun. I've made a couple little baskets out of seed beads and it was a blast. Do you have a link to show off some stuff? I'd love to see it...

I love making jewellery. I normally do beaded stuff with bits of chain & wire & stuff but I'm running out of ideas. Palachewing I love your pieces & I'm gonna try them. Anyone else with ideas I'd love to hear from you.

I fail at making jewelry. >< Usually because I don't make the knots/links tight enough. I must practice...

But occasionally I get something good out of it. wink

Chainmail is wicked fun and easy, unless if you're given tiny stainless steel rings those are annoying to bend. Recently I've been having my little sparks and have gotten around to a few things. This is what I made today: http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b171/Dustis/cutething.jpg Don't mind the terrible digital camera.

I enjoy making simple stuff-- strung thread or wire mostly. Chainmaille intimidates me slightly, but lately I've been doing a lot with copper wire, so maybe I'll find the courage to move on to little silver links...

❤ - - I never made anything "wow-deserving" but I can do the basic stuff. I think i should try shaping the wires a bit [like your leaf] and see what I can make C:

HAND OVER THAT PANDY PACK & SLIPS!

Anything in the Fluff Box would do..

Please?
I love your wire wrapping ^_^ ~ heart

I do, mostly steampunk and industrial jewelry but I also have a more mainstream shop. I work mostly with wire, glass beads, and semi-precious stones.

I make jewelry, I use all kinds of stuff and techniques. For my latest project I'm going to knot four bracelets and I am going to put spacers and beads between the knots.

A link to my deviantart for you all if you want to know what I do make.my devart

Ever wondered what happened when two rivaling families ended up on the same ship find out by clicking the link above.
I also make chainmaille jewelry... my metal of choice is Sterling (of which I have 13 ounces coming in the mail any day now... hurryyyyy!), but I work with pretty much everything (Bronze, Copper, Nickle Silver, Brass, Titanium, Niobium, Bright Aluminum, Anodized Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Enamelled Copper, Yellow/White/Rose Goldfill... sweatdrop ) Unfortunately, I can't get at my pictures right now, as I'm at work. I really need to get a dA account updated... It's a semi self-sufficient business... getting to the point where I'm covering most of my material costs (which this year would be approx 2.5k). Tonight I'm meeting with a client to do a final fitting for the jewelry I'm providing for her wedding party.

Also, I've never been to this forum before... I like it!! I haven't actually spent time in the forums here in years, but I think I could see myself sticking around here... blaugh
