Hemp chains for a necklace?

I'm trying to make a hemp chain to put a pendent on for my boyfriends birthday.
i found a picture of one i really like but i cant figure out the name or how to make it.



Does anyone know where i can find a similar know design or how to make this on specifically? >:

that is called the "alturnating larks head knot"

its a very simple knot to do, you need 2 long strands of hemp, fold them in half together, and tie a knot. you then do the "over under" method, starting with the right side take the end piece and put it over then pull it under and through, then do the same with the left side, for as long as you want the chain. if you want to add beads, you throw them onto the cneter string which is refered to as the "anchor"
