I'm having issues finding a FREE pattern for a cat plushie online.
I've spent the last two hours looking, no joke.
My eyes are killing me.

What I want though, is something more like this:

Instead of these:

Standin Up

I want more cute, less furry/realistic-ish.

Why not try to make your own? It isn't that hard. If you want I can give you tips on how to make pattern. It will make you way more flexible in what you want to do, and it isn't that hard, but may take practise.

I want to try a few patterns before I venture into making my own.

If I can't find a pattern, I usually try amking my own. Cut out 2 copies of it, and use one to tape all the peices together to make like...a newspaper plush? To see if it comes out how you want it without wasting fabric.

This kitten pattern seems to be a very popular one. Try making it with a different fabric and see if the result is anything like what you're going for - just making it with fleece instead of fur would make it less real looking.
