I've done Pikachu as a continual work-in-progress! The corset top I did not, unfortunetly, make, I just added the brown lace to the top.

The ears and tail (which you can't see...) were simple cotton with cheap polyester stuffing. The petticoat was a pain, I had it as a floor-length crenolin and had to hike it up and hand sew each layer. And you can STILL see the tulle hanging out.

I'm in love with the skirt fabric. It was cotton, but had this beautiful flowing texture to it... Just added some brown lace to the hem for flair!

a thought about the tulle, what about adding a bit of wide lace to the edge of it, like eyelet.... would help to hide it abit and add a bit more full ness to the skirt. wink just an idea. whee

Oh my god... That never occured to me! That's brilliant!

I think I love you! <3 Thank you so much!

I cosplayed Orochimaru from Naruto for ConnectiCon '08!

Sadly, this was one of the only good pictures I got of myself. ^^; I wish I had a good shot of the butt bow, I made the whole thing by hand and it took two days straight. The only part of the costume I didn't make was the turtleneck I wasn't too pleased with the wig, I tried to straighten it but it still ended up all wavy.

Also for ConnectiCon my friend and I cosplayed Debitto (left) and Jasdero (right, me) from D. Gray-man. The pants were a b***h, I had to individually hammer in 200 eyelets.

@.@!!

WOW. Having struggled with eyelets to do one fake corset for a friend (they ended up pulling the fabric and ugleah! D= ) I can only say WOW. That is amazing and must have taken extreme patience and precision. I don't suppose you have any advice regarding eyelets?

Advice? Ermmm... don't hit your fingers? XD I dunno, there wasn't really a trick to it, it just sucked a alot.

i've though about doing eyelets for a few things i've designed, but sadly have never been brave enough to do it. smile

when you did your eyelets MaiMai-chan, did you use any intefacing? anything to stiffen the fabric to support the pulling?

K you did a great job on the pants. how long were your fingers brusied?

Those are some awesome pants, though if I'd been the one to make them I don't know as though I would've thought the 200 eyelets were worth it. I've done eyelets for a few things and in a couple of different ways. One of the big things I can say is that the special eyelet equipment is worth it, makes things a ton easier though I couldn't tell you what it's called, and multiple layers of fabric help as does having the two piece eyelets, the one part ones look tacky and pull at the fabric. If any of my shpiel is any help sweatdrop

They didn't bruise so much as swell D: It wasn't bad though. Only lasted like a day.

@parazesis: I don't know why I thought making them was a good idea, haha. I really wanted to cosplay the character, though, and I'm a stubborn person XD
