OK guys, I'm one day away (I think) from posting my most recent adventure!

Another dress for my (now) fiance's mother, one that I was SUPPOSED to have finished six months ago, but...well, things got hectic. This one is an empire-waist gown, chemise and arm gauntlets that lace up.

The bodice section is red satin with little golden flowers and vines, lined with cream satin. The skirt section is actually two layers, the under layer is cream satin, the top layer is a goldtone lace. The two layers are attached at the empire waist and zipper closure, hemmed seperately. The chemise is the same chemise from the gold dress that I did for her (pics earlier in the thread). The gauntlets are the same as the bodice section, the outer part is the red satin/gold flowers, lined with cream satin. The neckline and waistline of the gown is trimmed with cream colored trim accented with false pearls.

gonk stressed sweatdrop OK, um, well, this one's not done yet...because it doesn't fit. See, she was losing some weight, and asked me to make it a size smaller than what she was wearing (I know, I know, I tried to advise against it...). She actually did get BELOW the size that the dress is, but has gained again. sad So, I'm going to have my fiance's sister-in-law try it on (I haven't put the zipper on or hemmed it yet) and if it fits or I can take it in to make it fit (very easy at this point in the game) I'll give it to her. If not, you guys will be able to look for it to be on sale on Ebay. I'll update. So, I have no pics right now. (I haven't had access to the digital camera yet to even take 'in-progress' pics). sweatdrop

If the costume is a collaborative work, or you purchased pre-made pieces, please tell us what you actually did yourself. Your work must be a noticable part of the costume! "I fixed a broken seam" or "I glued the ball to the stick" doesn't count!
Made the whole costume myself.

What supplies you used: mostly cotton broadcloth and ribbon for the white lines. Also black hair dye (Im natuarally blonde)

Who the model is, if there is one. You do not need to have photos of somebody wearing the costume, but I'm sure they'd appreciate credit if you posted their photo. Tis me!!

I made the costume on a $10 budget and my wig didn't come in until the day after the picnic.

I had to wear an old work shirt because of time constrates but.. I made and patterned the skirt, apron, and bow again. I also managed to get it done in less than 48 hours. Without credit, I did a lot of work on the Luc in the photos.

sooo...what if i haven't done much of the practical side, but designed and oversaw most of the costume? my boyfriend and i collab every year to make renfest costumes. he has more of the sewing machine skills, i'm good with detail work...and he doesn't have a gaia account. would that work for me to post?

i got most of the pattern from the store but i made the tail higher the gloves a difrent shape and paw pads and the collar of the suit is difrent and i made the hat pattern compleatly by myself 3nodding ..... sweatdrop
